Centered among the shops of Hogsmeade is a well enough known pub in the small village, called The Three Broomsticks. Not unlike the Hog's Head down the street in the strictest idea of pubs, drinks and the like, however it is the atmosphere that helps make the latter choice the one hailed by the mass majority. The outside of the building is a good preview of what the inside may look like with the same steep roof as the surrounding buildings, yet taller, with a sign on it's facade featuring, you guessed it, the legendary three boomsticks, all fixed around a lantern to light the patrons' way.
Once you enter the pub, smells and the warmth of the large stone fireplace great you as you place hats and coats by the door. Directly infront of you there are tables and booths lining the majority of the small hall with oil lamps placed on each one. On winter days it is usually hard to find a place beside the large fire grate but if you're early enough, only Merlin can say what will happen. To your left the bar and most likely the bartender Harold "Hops" Lagerty, await you and your order--a few stools await you to take a load off and shoot the breeze with others.
The bartender is pretty sociable to those who don't annoy him. He's seen his lot of warlocks, goblins, and Hogwarts kids to know which ones were trouble and which of those made loyal customers, so be sure not to be put on the first part of the list.
A few rules from the Shop Owner: No brawling, no shouting (angrily), no alcohol to minors, and don't go up the stairs, I live up there.
OCC Rules: No RPing for the shopkeeper and all other School RPG Rules apply.

Char watched as he enjoyed his candy -- and he really was enjoying it too -- and then grinned at him, making sure not to laugh at him. For some reason she felt like she was in a really giggly mood and she couldn't sit there giggling the whole time, how weird would that be? So she decided to be smiley instead, surely Dec wouldn't mind that? "Laughing is my way of saying hello, jeeeez!" She stuck her tongue out at him and then used her free hand to poke his tummy. "No, no, candy isn't a real meal." Yeah, she ate loads of candy but she almost always made sure to eat real meals too. "Call someone over so we can order and I'll pick something while we wait." Using her free hand again, she opened up her menu and scanned it a bit, making a mental note of all the things that sounded yummy just in case she ran out of time to really make a decision.
Right. Brunette. 16. October baby. Slytherin.
So what if it sounded like her? Charlotte didn't know all of the Slytherin girls in her year! It could be aaaaanyone! "Wellll...ummmm..........can you describe what she looks like? Aside from her hair?" And she asked this just because she really wanted to hear how he'd describe this 'mystery' person.
He scrunched his nose after she poked his tummy, squirming a bit. HA.HAHAHA. Candy isn't a meal?? The boy has been trying to the explain that to her since he met her! "Like you should be talking!"
Declan reached for a menu, even though he already knew what he wanted, and looked around. "I think I have to order with the bartender, don't I?" He asked, looking back at her. He honestly thought she was more interested in making him say it instead of being here and eating, "Umm...she's pretty, of course, black-brown hair, loves candy, hates tea, tolerates coffee, doesn't sleep when she's suppose to, avoids classes, likes to make people late by cuddling them, and is rather cheeky." Nod, nod, nod.
It hadn't been easy to be excited for much recently, but the appearance of one of the most influential people in her life was easily the one thing she could force a smile for. In retrospect though, it wasn't even forcing a smile, because it came so easily to her around Kurumi. She returned the hug, thankful for every growth spurt she had had that left her taller than the other, and not a pre-teen that clung onto her side complaining about a sore bottom.
"Hiiiiiiiiii!" See, look, she could sound all perky and bouncy and not give away that her life was over and she was falling on the wrong side of the tracks. She'd tell her soon enough. Maybe in code so no one overheard. Not that she remotely cared what anyone really thought. There were four peoples opinions that she gave an ounce of thought about and only one of them was here. Replacement mama.
She wiggled her nose at the congratulations, still a little confused when things like that happened. She'd probably just get used to it and then she'd graduate. Boo. That was soon, too. "Thaaaaaanks. They obviously thought I'd make the badge look prettier. Not everyone looks good in yellow..." Really. She'd seen it. It was an ugggggly thing. Like most of the students at school. They couldn't all be Robertsers. HER TREAT? The world. Elodie wanted the world. "Cocoaaaaaaa'd be AWESOME." Because ti was cold out and the tips of her fingers might have been a little red. Or blue.
Rainbow.
Elodie's bright smile and bubbly personality was so Hufflepuff it hurt sometimes, but it was also one of the quirks that Kurumi could appreciate most about her friend. Thankfully she was blissfully unaware of some of the other, um, quirks the girl possessed and she was completely content with keeping it that way.
Giving her one last tight squeeze before pulling back, Kurumi found herself sniffing Elodie's hair. "What shampoo are you using? It smells nice." She was on the market for a new shampoo and rise, actually. For certain reasons. "Well, it certainly is a shade of yellow that compliments you. Or should I say you compliment it?" she giggled. Merlin, she missed her badge. It was more the memories attached to it that she missed and the sense of pride and accomplishment she had felt wearing it from her fourth year all the way until she had graduated. "Who are you a prefect with?" And did yellow look good on them?
Her face fell just a little at the mention of cocoa and her hand went to the pocket of her skirt to feel for the small vial of potion within. Good, she hadn't forgotten it today. She could deal with this. "Cocoa it is then," she beamed. "I'll order some food to go with that while you go find us a table?" Unless Elodie wanted to follow her right up to the counter to order and whatnot. Which seemed very much something that second year Elodie with the sore bum would do.

Not really. He had to save some for candy later.
After ordering his meal, he found an empty table in the back corner and sat down. Looking towards the counter, he waited for it to arrive. Drumming his fingers on the table as he waited, he took a look around the resturaunt for any familiar faces. He could do with some company.

Before she could start sending blind hexes, whoever it was spoke and at first it was hard to tell but then a wide grin spread across her face. Alice. There was no mistaking it. She'd spent enough time with her to know when her voice was being distorted.
"Might I suggest a voice changing charm next time?" Lex asked, pulling away Alice's fingers to get a good look at her. People said you changed after you hit the big world. They lied. Stick her in one of Lex's robes and no one would know better. The Gryffindor hopped out of her seat and pulled her into a hug. Nod, nod, nod.
Hmmmm? So his tummy was his ticklish spot? She had been meaning to find out where he was most ticklish, you know, in case she ever had to tickle him to get something out of him. Now she had a general idea, perfect! "Heeey! I eat real food! You've just never been around me when I did." No one would be able to survive on just candy, duh! "Like now, I'm getting mac & cheese and a salad." Seeeee??? She ate food! And when she did, she didn't normally eat super greasy bad food either. "Ooooh yeah, bartender. We can both go up and order?" Or was he doing it? Or...was it just going to be him going up to order for both of them? She just had no idea...
Charlotte considered taking her hand back now, realizing that people had hands to use them for things, not to just hold on to another person but she couldn't actually make herself do it so instead she squeezed his hand a bit, just as a sort of reminder for him that they were still holding hands, and let him decide whether or not he wanted to let go.
She's pretty, of course.
[A small smirk appeared on her lips and she nodded as she listened to his description of a person who might have been her. "Any smart person would rather cuddle than leave to go somewhere." She just had one more question for him and then, she supposed, she could give in and say it. "So, last one, I promise...what color are her eyes?" As she asked the question, she looked away and down at the menu. She knew he already knew the color of her eyes but she also knew she'd end up all blushy if she looked at him looking at her so she just...didn't.

Kace heard his stomach rumble. He knew what that meant. He needed some food and fast. As he made his way into the Three Broomsticks, he was greeted by the wave of heat. It made his skin prickle. He never realized how cold it was outside. He could smell all of the different kinds of food. His stomach rumbled louder and he put his hand on top of his stomach to shush it. As he went to find a table, he noticed Dylan!
Wait...Dylan? He hadn't seen him in ages. He looked so different! He had to do a double take. He smiled and said, "Hey mate, nice to see you again...is this seat taken?" he asked hoping it wasn't.

Lux was cold and hungry, which meant one thing: The Three Broomsticks. Sitting at a table with a cup of tea and bowl of macaroni and cheese, she felt so much better. The heat was wonderful, as was the food.
Looking around her, she spotted a few people she knew; Kace was sitting with Dylan and as much as she wanted to join her fellow Puffs, she was feeling very lazy. Not as if they couldn't catch up later in the Common Room. Smiling, she started to play with the necklace that Bay had given her; she loved it so much and never wanted to take it off.

Adi stood up the same time as Benny did. "Butterbeer for sure,'' he responded. "And something sweet for me. Maybe brownies?'' That should come as no surprise to Benny who knew the Hufflepuff looooved sweets.
Benny simply nodded in agreement on the concept of awesome abraxans. His good mood faltered somewhat however at the question about thestrals, the Gryffindor lowering his gaze as he paused to answer. "Um...yeah...I mean yes I could." Though he supposed he knew why Adi had asked or rather wouldn't think that he would have been able to see the thestral. Most 13 year olds didn't have the opportunity to see a death happen in front of them. He had just had the bad luck of it.
He tried to brush it aside in favor for the conversation about food and drink. Much more pleasant of a thought to dwell upon then the reason for seeing the creature in the first place. "Yeah...for sure," he agreed once more. They were celebrating after all. "Hmmm...Make that two orders of butterbeer and brownies."

Hmm...Mac and cheese and salad. Okay, valid choice. Chicken Noodle Soup for him, yep! Although, now he's kind of craving mac and cheese. Hmmph. "Anything to drink?" Maybe a candy milkshake? Honestly, who wouldn't care about her extreme sweet tooth if he didn't worry for her health.
He felt a squeeze on his hand from her end and responded with a squeeze of his own, "Both would be nice." You know, so he doesn't mess up her order and anything.
Did he hear right? Did she say 'last one'? Dec was finding that hard to believe. He laughed before keeping silent for a few seconds, "The color of her eyes...the color of her eyes are the color of the eyes that I'm staring at right now." Hope that answered her question.

"Oh, just water. I don't really drink anything else most times." She got all the sugar she needed in her candy, no need to have sugary drinks as well. Grinning at him, she nodded and figured getting up would be a good start to ordering but she was really enjoying herself at the table with him and getting up just felt like it would ruin the 'moment.' Cue tomato face. She knew this was the closest she was going to get to get him to say it was her and it was plenty for her, even though she knew she could argue that it wasn't her anyway.
Charlotte looked up at him, smiling and feeling the blush go all the way to her ears and her face burn up. She smiled brightly at her sister and took a seat sitting across from her.

Lost in her own world, Lux did not think that anyone would join her. Least of all her older sister. "Hey, Willa." A friendly smile formed on her face, and it had been a while since they had last seen each other. It was such a nice surprise!
Holding out her necklace, she showed it off. "My boyfriend gave it to me. Isn't it beautiful?" She was so happy.

"You were smart enough to graduate, I'm sure you can figure something out." Alice had to expect a little cheek, the girl hadn't been gone that long. It wasn't that hard to cast a spell in advance. The time away from the castle must have made her lazy--not that staying would have helped now that there was no Quidditch or threats of 5 am practices. No matter how much she missed Alice, she would NEVER miss those.
Aaaand there was the awkward patting. You think after all the times Lex snuck into her bed and stole hugs she'd have gotten used to it, then again, Alice was the type to shove and kick. This was improvement. "I've been bored, what do you expect?" Lex asked, finally letting go and flopping back into her seat. Sure she'd found things to do but NOTHING got rid of the energy like Quidditch did, nothing. "Starving too so it looks like I finally get to benefit from your Quidditch skills." Casually pretending it wasn't Alice's skill that trained her into the good beater she had been before her beloved Ex-Cap'n stripped her of that post.
"You should tell me all about the real world. Lemme know what I can look forward. I reckon you can tell me the bad stuff too but only after we;ve had some butterbeer." Sound good?

Why was she so red? Was it hot in here? Because he thought it was rather cold. Dec placed a hand on her forehead. Nope. She's just...red. "You okay?" Was she allergic to Minnie Mouses?
Before he could ask if she indeed was, her lips were now pressed against his for quite a while. Well, okay. That works, too. Dec swallowed as he tried to speak, "Uhh...Sh-should we go order now?" Boy, are you in trouble...

Was she okay? Seriously? Had he never seen a girl blush before? And now she felt like dying because he had even felt her forehead. Declan, she's BLUSHING. He said he'd been thinking about her and whatnot and then actually gave in and told her it was her, what did he expect?
Charlotte mumbled something about blushing and then nodded. The only thing that made her feel better was his reaction to the kiss she gave him. HA. Now they were both very al;kfajsdfk (because that's totally a feeling) and her face slowly stopped being red and just moved down to a pink color.
Nodding again, Char let go of his hand, stood up, and headed to the bar to order. On the way there, she just kind of tried to figure out what to do next with this new/expected information she'd gotten out of Dec.

Well, she was pink now. That's good right? Her fever might be going down or something. OH, blushing?! He knew that, yeah. Of course. Yeeeaaah...
Standing up with her, they walked over to the counter, "Uh, hi, can we get an order of Mac and Cheese, a salad, chicken noodle soup, butterbeer, and a water, please?" He got everything right? Declan recounted the order in his head and then looked down at his short candy obsessed weirdo as a reassurance that he did. Did he?

Smiling and nodding at Declan to let him know he'd gotten everything, Char reached into her back pocket and pulled out a very small pouch for her money, which she'd charmed to be small enough to fit into her pocket. This way she always had money on her.
"How much will it be for all of it?" She asked the bartender, already digging into the pouch. Declan wouldn't have a problem with her paying, right? Charlotte was used to paying for things anyway, he might as well just let it happen.

She said it playfully, but she did mean it! And a day like that was rare. Indeed. "Yeah... I wish they weren't, though." Not that she was saying she wanted less of uni, she didn't! She just wanted more of Mordred, that was all.
The girl chuckled when her boyfriend spoke about Ethan and how it was weird that he went to a sweets shop. "It's nice of him then, to go there with his friend. Maybe he's looking for Christmas presents for people who like sweets?" It sounded like Ethan, didn't it? Taking others into consideration. Cute! "Speaking of that, what do you want for Christmas?" The brunette grinned at him again. "Oh! And can I see you on Christmas day??" Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease? Hehehehe! But ohh, Ethan was doing that well in school then?! "That's brilliant! I knew going to Hogwarts would be good for him." She smiled warmly as she thought of the amazing place that school was, no matter how... crazy it could be sometimes. "I'm glad he's doing so well!" Aannnddd klsjdgnskjnfsdkjfnsdkjfnskljfnsdkljfnsdkljfnskfjsd nfkldjsnfkjsdf WAS he CUTE or WHATTTT??? SO cute!! "You are the adorable one here!" Sophie griiinned!beamed!smiled!skdjfnskfnd she couldn't EVEN. "You're so adorable I could keep you forever!" HEEEH!! She would, yep yep yep!!
Wow! "You sure are busy! Do you have time to do uni work at all? You know, the ones that don't involve dragons?" She asked, amused. Mordred wasn't just studying dragons in uni, right? That sounded like ten times the amount of work he'd usually have to do! "You are being careful though, aren't you?" Sophie looked a bit more serious now. "I don't want you getting hurt or anything." Or disappearing for good or anything like that. MERLIN, she didn't even like thinking about that.
It was like a beam of light just came down on Mordred, straight from the heavensssss. He was taking Advanced Ancient Runes!!!! Sparkly eeeyeesss. "That's the perfect excus-- ummmm..." Heheheeeeeeeeeeee!!! Sophie chuckled and grinneeeddd a bit more. "Does this mean we'll have to spend more time together?? I do need a tutor..." And she wasn't even lying! But it would be PERFECT if they could actually do that, heheeeeeehehe!! But then she snapped back to reality. "But you're already way too busy, love. I don't think I'd feel comfortable with you helping me, knowing I'm going to be another burden." Sophie looked really serious now, because she truly meant it. "I'm already worried enough about you!"
Mordred just staaaaaaaaaared at his girlfriend, with a hint of a smile on his lips. Spending most of his time alone with dragons…and the occasional volunteers, the former Slytherin forgot what it’s like to have someone care for him. The 21-year old continued to look at Sophie endearingly as she continued talking. How was he supposed to reply to that? “Come here.” Mordred pulled Sophie into a hug and kissed her forehead. “I know you will.” No question about that. And he knew she will continue to do so in the near future.
Mordred didn’t want to let go of the hug, but then, that’ll be a bit awkward, yeah? They were in a public place for Merlin’s sake. Releasing Sophie, the young man sighed and shook his head as they discussed about Ethan. “I can’t believe my ears, Sophs. How…did Hogwarts do it? He’s not the type to sit down in one corner and do his homework.” Did Ethan took his ‘warning’ too seriously? “He ended up in Slytherin. Did you know?” Now THAT will forever baffle the former Snake. How in Salazar’s name did Ethan end up there? Mordred’s not complaining though…but, seriously? “Yeah, he wants to please people most of the time. I guess, giving presents to his friends is his way to seal their friendship?” Mordred can’t help but think that he is up to something. Hmmmmmm. What did he want for Christmas. “You.”Plain and simple. As for the Christmas Day? “I can see you in the afternoon, perhaps? I have to be there for Ethan when we introduce him to the rest of the clan.” New recruit, remember? The Slytherin however paused and playfully raised one eyebrow at Sophie. “I will keep you forever.” Ahem. Dropping a hint right there. Yep.
“Does sleeping count? Well, scratch that, I’m not getting enough sleep.” Mordred shook his head and massaged the back of his head. “Apart from Ancient Runes, I’m also studying Ogham.” Pause. Yep, they don’t teach that stuff in Hogwarts, yeah? “It’s the writing system of the druids. It’s believed that dragons can read them too.” Cooooooool, huh? And of course, he’s still into the advanced Defense and Advanced Magical Combat. Mordred thought it was best not to mention these things to Sophie anymore. Sure those subjects don’t involve dragons, but the classes he’s currently taking are dangerous.
Mordred chuckled. Like…real chuckles. “Perfect excuse for what?” the young man bit his lip to prevent himself from laughing. What, she doesn’t believe her boyfriend’s that awesome??? “Don’t be silly Sophie Delilah Campbell.” The former Slytherin shook his head. “I want you to excel in university, okay? You will never be a burden, and yes I will help you with Runes.” Also, why Runes? Was Charms directly related to Runes that she wants to study it so bad? And what exactly did university do to her girlfriend. “We can worry together.”

Ruby was NOT a fan of winter because it meant she had to put on layers and she couldn't wear all the cute clothes she preferred. Or well, she could, but underneath things. It sucked. She did go with the absolute bare minimum, getting around the chill with warming charms where she could, like on the leggings that she wore underneath her shorts, but she also wore a snuggly jumper, a soft scarf, and a fur-lined hooded cloak. At least it wasn't snowing. She stayed away from The Hogshead because it was gross and stinky inside, and reluctantly avoided Puddifoots too because she didn't want to look lame showing up there on her own. So that left the Three Broomsticks right?
Unfortunately as she hadn't befriended anyone on the short walk up the street, it meant she'd have to buy her own hot chocolate. Siiiiigh. She headed up to the counter and went to open up her purse to get her... where was her purse?
Panicking, the dark-haired girl retraced her steps back outside, around, and then minutes later right back into the pub, the bell above the door jingling merrily to announce her reappearance. The panic remained. STILL NO PURSE. SHE WAS STRANDED IN HOGSMEADE AND COULDN'T EVEN GET A HOT CHOCOLATE.
.... Ugh, she was probably going to have to ask someone to find her cousin for her, huh? Pouting to herself she looked around, trying to figure out if there were any sympathetic targets people who might help her out.

Adi immediately noticed the downtrodden look on Benny's face and the way his eyes lowered. Had he said something wrong? He was startled at Benny's reply to his question and for a moment he was speechless. How had he not known that before? Then again, it wasn't something you usually asked people. Finding his voice again, the third year asked "What happened?'' Benny didn't have to tell him if he didn't want to. He'd totally understand if his friend did not want to talk about it.
"Two orders of Butterbeer and brownies. Only I need too brownies instead of one.'' Hehe. Adi wasn't ashamed about his appetite and love for sweets when Benny was around. Even if it made him look like a total glutton. He set off towards the counter to give their orders.

If anything struck a chord as being weird, it was the hair sniffing, and Elodiee gave Kurumi a look, before sniffing her own hair just to confirm. "It's pomegranate flavour. My sister sent me a big spa hamper thing... I can..find out the company and owl you it if you want?" Were they going to be sharing shampoo tips now or something? Clothing options? Had their friendship gotten to that point? Was Elodie now old enough to have these kinds of friendships with people older than her that weren't a member of the Darcy clan? They were all boys though...
"Kaiden," she offered quickly with a shrug of her shoulders. "I don't see him too much. I choose to avoid him and do my own thing." And obviously be better and prettier and not look like hell was falling on his shoulders. Whatever. It was just until the end of the year. It'd go by quick enough and then escaping to a hidden corner in the world was all for her. Getting away from the people she'd been around this castle with for years. The ones she hated. The ones she couldn't stand the sight of. Most of them. Farewell, buttfaces.
Looking over her shoulder, Elodie nodded. "I'll get us a table, then!" Unless Kurumi needed her to carry anything? Probably not. Yeah. She'd get them a table. And scout one out away from uglies.
