Centered among the shops of Hogsmeade is a well enough known pub in the small village, called The Three Broomsticks. Not unlike the Hog's Head down the street in the strictest idea of pubs, drinks and the like, however it is the atmosphere that helps make the latter choice the one hailed by the mass majority. The outside of the building is a good preview of what the inside may look like with the same steep roof as the surrounding buildings, yet taller, with a sign on it's facade featuring, you guessed it, the legendary three boomsticks, all fixed around a lantern to light the patrons' way.
Once you enter the pub, smells and the warmth of the large stone fireplace great you as you place hats and coats by the door. Directly infront of you there are tables and booths lining the majority of the small hall with oil lamps placed on each one. On winter days it is usually hard to find a place beside the large fire grate but if you're early enough, only Merlin can say what will happen. To your left the bar and most likely the bartender Harold "Hops" Lagerty, await you and your order--a few stools await you to take a load off and shoot the breeze with others.
The bartender is pretty sociable to those who don't annoy him. He's seen his lot of warlocks, goblins, and Hogwarts kids to know which ones were trouble and which of those made loyal customers, so be sure not to be put on the first part of the list.
A few rules from the Shop Owner: No brawling, no shouting (angrily), no alcohol to minors, and don't go up the stairs, I live up there.
OCC Rules: No RPing for the shopkeeper and all other School RPG Rules apply.

Seren had been certain that Aron would react more strongly, but accepted his gentler approach and support for the idea. "Mmm, maybe," she replied, briefly contemplating the idea of tutoring or doing something else. She couldn't see it happening, not immediately at least. She just wanted to make up for lost time with her son. If that was even possible. A house though, that did sound nice. "We could start looking in the holidays?" provided her health was better. She couldn't much imagine hobbling around the country in search of their perfect home as she was. The risk of a slipped disc or broken hip seemed too great for that.
Food for thought. Seren nod her agreement.

He had no doubts that his employees were up to the task, but he would much rather they not try to adjust too much to their new setting and spend more time trying to get back IN. It was embarrassing. "Indeed," he nodded, tapping his knuckles against the table three times. "Just be glad Hogwarts didn't suddenly fall off the map and you have had to set up shop in an abandoned amusement park or something."
Although he figured students would probably love that. He knew that he would have as a boy.
Maybe. In women's language that tended to mean 'never going to happen' but was the polite way of turning a concept down. Popping a strawberry into his mouth, sans chocolate because he was thinking, his eyes perked up just a little at her agreement to looking for a house. Their flat was nice...but the balcony could only hold so many plants and some of the carnivorous varieties were turning cannibalistic. "Sure, I'd like that," he smiled. "And if nothing suits our needs, I can see if I can swing a deal with some of the architects in the Ministry."

For once she didn't envy her husband his job... while working at the Ministry had its appeal, working in alternative locations sounded much like hell on Earth. In one form at least. Still, she could envy his ability to return home at the end of each day, a luxury she didn't have. His follow up comment received looks from her. Her eyes bulging in their somewhat saggy sockets. "I hope for your sake you didn't just jinx us...." Hogwarts... was weird like that. Anything that could go wrong, would at one stage or another indeed go wrong. But that would certainly seal her fate, her letter of resignation would be on Annie's desk faster than you could say puffapod. Walking between her quarters, the gardens and the greenhouses was enough without factoring in trips to the castle... let alone, other locations. Amusement parks no less. Far from amusing.
The idea of leaving Hogwarts was still in the forefront of her mind, and while it was necessary if she wanted to be with her family, she didn't feel ready to step down just yet. She'd miss the greenhouses, and the students - of course.
Nodding her head in agreement, Seren smiled at the thought of house hunting. She wanted something with a big backyard, somewhere they could at least have a small modest greenhouse... or two... with plenty of room for Derf to play and for them to relax as a family. "It sounds like we have a plan," she noted, a little happier now. "Just tell me we're steering clear of Cardiff," she almost pleaded, because knowing her mother she'd insist on them moving into the neighbourhood. Living that close to her mother would be unbearable, as if it wasn't hard enough to deal with her in London already and she was barely home enough to see the woman.
Adeline was so happy to be out and about. She had felt sick and dizzy the last couple of days. Some fresh air and time with her boyfriend would do her some good. Adeline was hungry, really hungry. The seventh year wanted to eat every single edible food that there was possible. Adeline made her way into The Three Broomsticks and seated herself. She watched the doors carefully to see if Asher was here yet. She wanted to do something nice and relaxing. Adeline yawned. Had she mentioned that she had been having little to no sleep the past few weeks? Normally there was a reason for not having any sleep but not this time.
It was Caroline's birthday today? Yes it was. Adeline had a present for her but it was back in the Hufflepuff common room. She would have to owl it to her when she gets back form having time with her boyfriend.

She hadn't been trying to be late but Lex needed to make a quick stop at Honeydukes before getting to the Three Broomsticks. Without her knowing how, her supplies had dipped to critical levels and she would have paid a visit to Cutty but with Hogsmeade so close there was no need. The break was coming up, then she'd be back in London collecting candy from the shops there anyway.
Lex shoved through the door, more than happy to be away from the cold on the streets and she might have been eager to see Alice too but really there's no proof of that. Her eyes darted around the pub, trying to find the girl who'd promised she wouldn't NOT be here. When she didn't see her she figured she got held up with her lonely life somewhere else and went to find them a seat, one close to a window in case anything epic happened on the outside.
Her eyes were trained on the window, waiting to see her walk by. It should be any minute now, yeah?

Short attention spans always made it harder to keep watch for people. Lex may have been watching the street and all the people passing but she was also watching the people in the pub and the ants on the ledge and that staircase over there that no one was meant to go up for some reason or another. Point was, Lex had stopped paying attention; completely distracted to the point where she didn't hear the footsteps approaching behind her so the hands suddenly slipping over her eyes startled her some.
Before she could start sending blind hexes, whoever it was spoke and at first it was hard to tell but then a wide grin spread across her face. Alice. There was no mistaking it. She'd spent enough time with her to know when her voice was being distorted.
"Might I suggest a voice changing charm next time?" Lex asked, pulling away Alice's fingers to get a good look at her. People said you changed after you hit the big world. They lied. Stick her in one of Lex's robes and no one would know better. The Gryffindor hopped out of her seat and pulled her into a hug. One that more accurately told how much she'd missed her than words on parchment could.

It had been nice to get away from the castle for a bit. Cassie had slipped home for a few moment to change her shoe collection out with some of the ones she had at the school. Her open toed heels were just not cutting it with this crazy weather. It just seemed to be getting colder and now with the snow she just had to find her heeled boots and a few more heeled tennis shoes. There was no reason not to be stylish even when the weather was crazy.
After her trip home, her and her kitties made their way into the three broom sticks. She glanced at her kitty purse to see Aries and Gemini snoozing away. Good good that meant she could get a bite to eat before making her way back to the castle so they wouldn't get too cold.
As she entered her green eyes scanned the area. Not too many students yet, bu tshe knew they'd be piling in soon. She remembered her own days at school and how much fun this place was. Ordering her food and then making her way to an empty table the blonde quietly started to eat.

It was quite intense this year he realised as he hurried through the Hogsmeade streets before entering in The Three Broomsticks. Lightly kicking the back of his boot heels to let the snow slide and melt off into the mat.
Javy then ordered some food to get some hot Cocoa and sheperd's pie before looking to find a table to eat at.. He shrugged a little before making his way. "Hello, Cassie. Hope you don't mind me joining you. " Sitting down to join her while she dined.

She had just taken a bite when she heard someone ask about joining her. Green eyes lifting she grinned and patted the seat next to her. Of course she didn't mind. Once she swallowed her food she greeted him properly, "Hello Javy, fancing meeting you here." She beamed at the man.
"Their Sheperd's pie is one of the best." She had eaten many things at the broomsticks since her and Nessa had moved to Hogsmeade. Cooking was very out of the question and this was just a great place for take out or coming to enjoy. Though looking around she was surprised by the lack of students.
"Thought it would be busier in here today." Though maybe it was still early.
It had been a while since Sophie was there, but the Three Broomsticks was probably going to stay the same forever, probably. Which the former Hufflepuff didn't mind at all! It almost felt like her Hogwarts years were back (not that they were long gone, but still). Maybe that was why she purposely chose to wear her Hufflepuff scarf that day, hehe!
The brunette looked around with a warm smile on her face and went to take a seat in one of the tables she used to sit at after grabbing a butterbear to warm her up a bit.

With their friendship returning to normal, and the recent win in the carriage races during COMC/charms class, the best friends had decided a celebration was in order. And with the opening of a Hogsmeade weekend in the calendar, it seemed the perfect time and place to do just that. They had finally opted on going to the Three Broomsticks and so Benny had headed in that direction after wandering through the streets of the small yet bustling wizarding village.
Stepping inside, the Gryffindor looked around for sight of his friend amongst the crowds already gathered. But he didn't see Adi anywhere so he slipped through people to quickly snag a small table as it was vacated. There he took a seat and awaited the presence of his companion, his mind absently wandering as he waited.
At 82 years old, David Kapoor's memory was better now than it had been the last time he was had visited Hogsmeade Village. It had to have been the autumn of '70, or perhaps '69, and he was in Honeydukes trying to buy some coconut ice (his favourite sweet to date). Only, the last of it had been purchased by a little girl called Celandine Toussaint. Perhaps, if there was time later, he'd stop in for a box to take home.
He still wasn't all that fond of scrying, even if he had picked a perfect place for it. Being positioned closely to the fire would've been a good opportunity to stare right into it and determine shapes, but he'd chosen it for he warmth it would offer. His bespectacled eyes searched the menu and ordered just about the only vegetarian thing on it: the tomato soup. He mentally accounted for the tarot deck he had brought, making sure it was on hand and of course, his magic magic 8-ball from his days teaching at Hogwarts.
If only he'd still had his gong. Nandi said she was taking it to get cleaned.

Cassie had seen the flyer and of course she was going to make her appearance at this little meeting of the Divination minds. It was soo exciting and even though she was going to the Broom Sticks and there would be food, the blonde had the elves make up some cookies to take along wit her. She made her way into the Hogsmeade and once in the Broom Sticks she scanned the area.
Could that be? She couldn't handle the excitement. Her snaps started before she even got to the table. "Professor Kapoor?" Oh he really hadn't change a bit, other than maybe being a bit older. "How are you? It's soooo fabtastic to see you." This was going to be an amazing meeting with him there, was he leading it? She couldnt' remember if it said it on the flyer or not.

Sitting in the warm comforts of the Three Broomsticks, the fire nearby but not close which was fine by him, Benny was glad they hadn't agreed to meet out in the streets before coming inside. He was debating getting a warm beverage when a certain Hufflepuff made his appearance at the table. "Hey Hippogriff," he returned with a smile, the greeting was only proper and fair.

Declan sat a table in the far corner of the The Three Broomsticks, nervously drumming his fingers against the wooden surface. His eyes kept glancing at the door, waiting to see if a particular candy-obsessed girl would walk through.
What had he done?! He asked a girl on a date, that's what he had done! The thing is, Declan Hazelwood DOESN'T do dates! So, why was he here, anxiously bouncing his leg up and down actually waiting for a girl when he could turn and find another?! Because that certain girl flipped him upside down, that's why.
*sigh* The boy just hoped things would go okay with him trying out something he so often avoided.

So what if she was meeting Declan at Three Broomsticks? This wasn't actually a date, right? It was just two people hanging out. No big deal. They were just going to be catching up on what they each did over Christmas break and Charlotte knew that. What she didn't know, however, was why she was so nervous about meeting Dec. Chances are he wouldn't be nervous so she'd have to go in there confident as ever so he wouldn't be able to tell that she was beyond nervous! When it came to kissing him, she had no problems at all but this was weird.
Walking through the door, she looked around and instantly saw Declan sitting there with his face waiting for her. She was actually surprised he hadn't been sitting there smirking towards the door, just waiting for her to walk in. And did he really have to look like that? It wasn't just his face, all of him looked nice. This was not okay.
Char waved cooly from the doorway, making sure not to look too excited, and made her way over to the table he was at. "Hi, Declan." She had considered calling him Deccy but decided today was not the day she'd start annoying him. Taking off her purple coat, she sat down in the seat next to him, rather than across from him, and grinned at him.

Char automatically started messing with the menu that sat in front of her and readjusted herself in her seat every so often because her nerves were slowly getting the best of her. Seriously. Why was she so nervous today? So what if she hadn't seen him in a month? And so what if they were in public where people could see them hanging out together? It was toooootally just hanging out. Although she had never actually been on a date before, she was pretty sure she'd know when she was on one. That was a thing, right?

Apparently the two boys had something in store for themselves that day, and Mordred was quick to notice that something is keeping Ethan…occupied. Although his cousin won’t tell, the former Slytherin was confident that it’s not something to worry about? Or…was it? Mordred bid his cousin goodbye and a quick wave to future dragonologist Simon as they dashed off to the Sweets Shop. Mordred however decided to stop by the Three Broomsticks to have a quick drink. The cold was too biting. If it was possible, even colder than Russia and Norway.
Paying for his drink, Mordred turned around sipping the contents of his mug and walked towards one of the seats against the window. His eyes caught sight of a Hufflepuff scarf worn by someone who made his insides turn with excitement. The former Slytherin blinked, still sipping his drink as his gears started to turn. Could it be possible that Sophie was here in Hogsmeade? Because he did apparate to Edinburgh to catch a glimpse of her before heading towards this place. Thinking that it is possible, Mordred slowly approached the lady, and upon seeing who it is he smiled and placed his drink on the table. “Hello, beautiful.” Mordred wrapped his arms around her from the back and kissed the top of her head. “I was in Edinburgh a few hours ago. Thought you’d be there.” He said as he pulled a chair beside her. Just like a true Mordaunt, Mordred did not let his eyes wander. No warm butterbeer can ever make him this happy.

She tried holding the pout but just couldn't because she knew it was working on him, even if he liked to pretend it didn't. Instead, she just smirked and reached up to lower his hands from his eyes. "Bigbaby," she mumbled quietly and then linked her fingers with his because why not? It was already in her hand anyway.
Next time? What did that even mean? Obviously it meant next time but Charlotte felt like there was so much more hidden behind those two words. Whatever. If he meant next time, then next winter she fully expected him to invite her to the beach. Even if, for whatever reason, they aren't still...whatever it was they were at the moment.
Laughing now, she playfully rolled her eyes at him. What else did he expect her to say? "I was only being honest. I can try playing hard to get, if you'd like?" Even though she had no idea how to do that and would probably fail miserably. This was way easier.
HOLY MOLY WAS HE SERIOUS RIGHT NOW? "DECLAN ART-ICAN'TREMEMBER HAZELWOOD YOU WENT TO DISNEYLAND???" None of what was happening right now was just fair at all. She had been dying (on the inside) to go to Disneyland all break long but her brother was too busy being over protective over her after seeing her kiss Dec at the train station, her sister was beyond annoying and she wouldn't be able to handle that, and Mason (her younger brother) was too young to apparate her anywhere. One day, just one day, she hoped her parents wouldn't be working so much so they could take her to Disney for once! "I wanted to go to Disneyland sooooo badly!" Really though, if her and Dec were just labeled already, Char was sure he would have invited her to Disney with him.
She bit her lip to keep from laughing because he was just way too cute and she was still trying to figure out how to deal with that. "Poor Dec-"Deccy."Did you at least get your picture after all of the babies dispersed?"
