YUP that was him! Kyroh just smiled happily as Maddie knocked her forehead lightly against his. Was this a new thing now? Forehead knocking over hugs?

It would have been a good question to ask if Maddie didn't drop NEWS on him. The boys brown eyes grew, "Are you sure he's really missing? Maybe he's just paying hide and seek with you and you're doing a terrible job and he's doing brilliantly?" Yeah maybe?? "Maybe he paid off the portraits too." Kyroh would have suggested going back to his old lady but what if she yelled at him for leaving and switched over to the kneazle's side?

Maddie was rambling and the idea of Zeus REALLY being lost and not okay made Kyroh's stomach turn. If he was really lost what would they do? What COULD they do? Had the centaurs or something taken him!? Zeus was Maddie's FRIEND. They couldn't lose him! The sound of footsteps shifted his attention and Kyroh let out a breath of air he didn't know she was holding when a girl round the corner, Zeus and another feline at her tail.

"Told you he wasn't really lost." The smile slowly repeated on his face as he watched Maddie before he turned his attention to the older girl. Kyroh had seen her before, he knew that. A few times before actually. But she was here NOW and carrying something that smelled REALLY REALLY GOOD.

"Miss-Miss-......miss Helper Marcus Braxton's friend what's THAT." His small finger pointed to the covered tray.

It smelled like happiness and he wanted it.

Oh, well apparently the missing feline belonged to this girl. That had been quite easy and she was glad for it. "He was in the kitchen." She replied, noting that the young girl was rather... a bit frazzled, but she put it down to the stress of having a lost pet. Merlin only knew how many times Sharky had run off on her. She turned her attention to the boy again when he addressed her... or tried to. "My name is Caterina. You can call me Cat, if you want." And how did he know that she was 'friends' with Mo? She wasn't certain she'd seen this one around, or the other, really. But she had been quite busy with NEWTS coming up and all.

"Cupcakes. Snickers cupcakes, actually." She lifted the tray proudly. "Would you like one?" It wasn't like Cat didn't often feed Ravenclaws.

Maddie would have SNORTED at Kyroh's suggestion that she was a HORRIBLE seeker but he was TRYING to be helpful and so she let it slide. Besides, thinking about it that way made it seem LESS likely that Zeus had been Kneazle-napped by some hug deprived Hufflepuff looking for a cuddle. Luckily ALL of these thoughts were long gone when Zeus arrived as if NOTHING had happened. He looked HAPPY, even. Tsk. Tsk. Did he KNOW how stressed she'd been? Merlin!

"You DID tell me, yeah." Maddie glanced up at Kyroh and smiled a little before scooping Zeus up off the ground and nuzzling him. "You're so punished for this, Z." He had PLENTY of food and now this Caterina person probably thought she starved him or something.

"Maybe he smelled those cupcakes, Cat." She was calmer now, Maddie was. She'd even let Zeus go so he could hang out with the other small feline. "Is THAT one yours?" Zeus' new companion, that is. And she was offering cupcakes to them? The first year's eye grew big and she glanced at Freckles before nodding her head seriously.

"Yes please." PAUSE. "And you know Mo?" Well THAT meant she probably hadn't poisoned the cupcakes cause Mo didn't seem like the type to hang out with poisoners. Good to KNOW.

Zeus had been in the kitchen. Which meant that he knew about the tickled pear. WHICH MEANT- that he so could have paid off the portraits not to talk if he was that smart. It didn't matter now though. He was back and Maddie was even smiling!

"Caterina." Kyroh repeated, just to make sure that he would remember the name. A smile broke out on his face and he gave Maddie a small nudge with his elbow. "Hey Maddie cats and kneazles always hang out, so no wonder Zeus stuck with Caterina." Just a different kind of Cat. Heh.

Snickers cupcakes? Kyroh didn't know what a snickers was but he wasn't about to ask. A cupcake was a cupcake. "I'd sooner like two." Kyroh answered truthfully.

"Maybe he did." Cat looked at the kneazle again, this time amused at the thought of a feline following the scent of baked goods. Sharky did that, yeah, but Sharky had been around baked goods practically her entire little kitty life. The Slytherin nodded, "Yep. Her name is Sharky." At the mention of her name, the cat rubbed against the younger girl's leg and purred at her.

How did she know Mo? "Mo is my boyfriend." She replied, wondering how that news would be received. Cat hadn't been into boyfriends when she was that age. She more liked boys she could punch and kick.

And this one over here, the boy, Cat grinned at him. "That was a good try there, I appreciate that." The boy clearly had a healthy appetite and she was definitely a fan of that. "I'll tell you what." She adjusted the tray into her other hand and looked at the both of them, "You can each have two cupcakes if you tell me your names." The boy had called the girl Maddie, she was pretty sure about that, but she didn't know their names for sure.

"Cool name." Maddie wasn't exactly sure it fit given the cat (the ACTUAL one, NOT the person) was rubbing up on her leg but still. Bending down, she scratched between her ears and smiled a little bit. Zeus seemed a bit jealous as he took to headbutting her other leg and she ROLLED her eyes, scratching between HIS ears with her free hand. She giggled a little at what Kyroh said and nodded in agreement. "Makes TOTAL sense, Freckles." UH-HUH.

Mo was Cat's boyfriend? BUT she'd thought that Dora person was dating him. WELL, you learn something new everyday. She'd have to tell Dima! Also, Maddie raised her eyebrows a little, considering this new information. She NEVER liked her brothers' girlfriends. They were usually daft and wore too much makeup and too little clothes. NOT the kind of girls she'd ever spend any time with, obviously. THIS girl seemed okay, though. She returned her kneazle AND was offering food so she couldn't be ALL that bad. "He's my buddy, Mo is." Assigned buddy but he was CLEARLY happy with the assignment, YES? "So I guess that makes us buddy-in-laws or SOMETHING." Did she feel the love? DID THAT MEAN MADDIE GOT EXTRA CUPCAKES?

The twelve year old appreciated Kyroh's honesty and she smiled a little at him when the older girl seemed to appreciate it TOO. Two cupcakes were ALWAYS better than one, YUP. "I'm Maddie but you can call me Coop if you want." That was TWO names, did she KNOW? And she'd let Kyroh introduce himself so he could earn his cupcakes proper-like. Go ooooon, Freckles!

TOTAL sense! See! He made it! Kyroh puffed out his chest a bit, cause making total sense was definitely a Ravenclaw thing. Look how claw like he was being! Maddie said so. The first year leaned down to pet Sharky too, because new friends all around!

So Kyroh had been sort of wrong. Cat wasn't just Mo's friend she was his girlfriend. That was probably why he saw them together sometimes. Weird. He didn't know too much about girlfriends and boyfriends. Except that when people were dating they held hands and kissed and stuff. "So does that mean that you guys love each other?" He was genuinely interested.

Buddy-in-laws? Didn't Mo and Cat have to be married to have in-laws, or for Maddie to be an in-law? OH MAYBE THEY WERE GETTING MARRIED SOON!? "Can I come to your wedding!?" Kyroh asked excitedly. "I'm really good at going to them!" He was!

Kyroh didn't really understand what the older girl meant by it being a good try. He was just telling the truth but he smiled back at her and Maddie anyways. If all she wanted for two cupcakes he'd GLADLY give it to her. "I'm Kyroh. Like the city but spelt differently." In case she forgot yeah?"And....you can call me Kyroh." Because unlike his friend...he didn't really have any other names.

"Sharks are my favorite." Cat nodded, watching the very friendly Sharky as she purred at the two and generally looked adorable in their direction. Cute little thing. Even if she wasn't little anymore, she was still cute. Mo was her buddy, huh? "Mo makes for a good buddy, you must be a lucky girl." Cat most definitely thought that was 100% true.

Her eyes moved between the two of them again, very amused and not sure which question to answer first. Goodness! She held up a finger, "I don't know if all boyfriends and girlfriends love each other, but yeah, I love him." Just being honest and all, love wasn't a bad thing so why should she bother to hide it? She was about to comment on Maddie's decision of them being buddy-in-laws when she couldn't help but laugh at Kyroh. "We're not getting married any time soon." She lowered the plate then, offering them their pick of cupcakes. "But if we were, sure you could come." He was a little cutie. "It's very nice to meet you, Kyroh. And Coop." Cupcake time now!

"I like snakes." PAUSE. "The animals. I'm still deciding about the Slytherin kind." The small brunette SMILED and shrugged her shoulders, watching curiously as Zeus rubbed his head against Sharky's chin. Was that normal? "Mo said he'd teach me stuff which is cool on account of I don't know TOO many spells yet!" But she was going to be a fast learner, she was SURE. "Does he teach YOU stuff too?" Did boyfriends and girlfriends DO that sort of stuff? From what Maddie had witnessed from her brothers and their lady friends, dating mostly meant kissing and generally being GROSS.

WAIT, they were getting married?! "I don't know about that LOVE stuff." Seemed like a buncha nonsense to HER. "That marriage stuff seems weird TOO." She didn't ever want to change her name to someone else's! Then she'd lose her nickname and EVERYTHING. "You should make Mo take YOUR name if you DO get married." She was just offering some sage advice here, OKAY? "And if I come to your wedding, do I HAVE to wear a dumb dress?" Her eyes were big and pleading. No dresses, Cat! NO DRESSES.

"Nice to meet YOU too." Maddie wasted no time helping herself to TWO cupcakes cause that was the deal, yeah? And they really DID smell lovely. No wonder Z had gone to the kitchen. "You should sell these. I bet you'd make loads!" CHA-CHING. Did Cat want an agent? Maddie could be quite helpful when she wanted to be.

"I like the Slytherin kind!" Kyroh added raising his hand and looking from both girls. His dad was a Slytherin and he liked him. And so was West and Grayson and they were both really cool! "But I don't really like the animals." They were slimy weren't they?

As for Mo teaching Cat stuff Kyroh would assume that he would because a HELPER and he was nice like that.

Not all boyfriends and girlfriends? Really? "But if they don't love each other then why would they be together?" That was new to him but it was GOOD to know. "What don't you know about love Boddie? I can teach you stuff!" Though Kyroh didn't know much about it EITHER but he could TRY to help okay? As for marriage, the boy didn't think that marriage seemed weird. It was a normal thing wasn't it? First people were boyfriend and girlfriend and then if they were able to stand each other long enough that no one died they became husband and wife. Simple. But he wasn't going to say anything about it because the last time he had said something DIFFERENT to what Maddie said he had gotten yelled at.

ANYWAYS that didn't matter cause he'd get to go to Cat and Mo's wedding and Kyroh just BEAMED at this because it would be awesome and he'd wear a bow tie and everything.

Wait wait wait- Mo taking Cat's name?! "I don't think she can do that!" He blinked. "Can you do that?" Didn't she like HAVE to HAVE to take his name? Wasn't it like...the law?

"Ditto!" He pointed at Maddie. YUP. Ditto to what she said. "Cause you have cupcakes and seemed really nice and are going to marry Marcus, soon AND I can come to your wedding. So ALL GOOD THINGS." As the plate was lowered Kyroh bounced happily as the aroma filled his nose. "Thank you!" Grabbing two cupcakes he took a LARGE bite out of one and held the other one safely in his right hand. Since the SECOND cupcake wasn't for him.

It was for Dima.

Charms Homework 2- post 1
 

So Charms Homework was to produce the spell in five different places around the castle?

As Simon trekked up from his warm common room, he found himself on the first floor near all the portraits. He overheard some of the portrait's chattering about how cold it was in Hogwarts. The boy gave them a sympathetic look and then pulled out his wand. Some of the portraits gasped at him, asking him what he was doing pulling out his wand. "I'm going to cast a spell that'll make it warmer in here, okay? I'm not going to burn one of you to make the rest of you warmer, alright?" he said raising his hands up into the air. The portraits eyed him suspiciously. Simon just rolled his eyes and began his work.

Infinity sign and the incantation? Multiple times? He could do this. No worries.

Pointing his wand at the wall he began to move it in a sideways figure eight, "Caelum Saepio" He repeated it again and saw a little little cloud of fog appear against the wall. Aha! He had to keep on going. "Caelum Saepio!" he said in tandem with the wand movement. A bigger cloud of fog appeared. He did it one more time and figured that was enough.

Then Simon turned around to face the portraits. He bowed. "You're most welcome." With that he slipped his wand back into his sleeve and walked off to find another area of the castle.

James was freezing. FREEZING!! Cold did not suit him at all and this weather was going to make him turn into a popsicle. Wearing about a dozen layers only his eyes and nose were sticking out and visible. Only because he had to see and his nose would've been uncomfortable all bent up. He should have stayed in bed where it was warm and he could wrap up like a cocoon in bed.

He walked around a corner and almost right into someone who was standing there. He spoke intending to say excuse me, I didn't see you but instead came out a mumbled mess because of all the layers.

Lost in her own world, Lux had no idea what was going on when she suddenly heard some strange noises. "If you are the Chort that hurt Bay, you are going to regret coming here." Her wand was at the ready and she could take the demon out. She would show itwhat happened when her boyfriend was messed with.

Fists clenched, she turned to face the intruder to see that it was... a boy. A boy in about a million layers. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to be rude, I just am on edge lately." Cheeks turning red, she was embarrassed.

What a way to make a fool of herself.

James' eyes widened abut three sizes too large for his head when he saw a wand pointed at his handsome face. No!!! Not the nose! He was too pretty to die! He closed his eyes and waited for the blow but instead heard an apology.

He opened one eye and then the other and was going to reply when he realized it would just be mumbles again. He took off the three hats he was wearing and then pulled down the collars of his shirts and sweaters far enough so his face was visible. "It's okay. Didn't mean to frighten you it's just so bloody cold!!!" He gave her a cheerful smile to show he wasn't mad.

"I'm James," he said holding out his gloved hand and realizing how goofy that looked he pulled the glove off and held it out again. "James Rodemiere."

James listened to the girl talk and had to stop himself from doing something like...backing away...far far away..... What if he was next? Maybe she was the attractor of the demon. "I'm sure that wouldn't be a good idea. I mean if it's a demon and all." Demon = strong. Little third year girl = won't win. Simple math to him.

"You're telling me! Humans aren't meant to be this cold." The Ravenclaw decided to take off his other glove and shove it into his jacket pocket. "Lux? Is that short for anything?" Hmmm what could it be short for....no idea. Luxury? He stopped himself from snorting at that ridiculous thought and smiled at her. He rubbed his hand over his nose and frowned. It was like an icicle. "Why are you out here looking at the portraits?" Seemed odd. It was cold...no heater here. What a weird girl.

Awww, James wasn't saying anything but she could see that he was unsettled by her comment. And why wouldn't he be. Mentally she kicked herself for mentioning it. Of course a demon would scare anyone. "It's okay, it was in the Forbidden Forest. We should be safe." So why she had thought he as a Chort was beyond her unless it was a weird impulse. Yes, she'd go with that. "He went into the Forbidden Forest with the librarian because he's an older student and the librarian asked him to investigate some sparks that were seen outside. He isn't a trouble maker." Nod.

Humans weren't meant to be this cold. Ain't that the truth. "I'm hoping that this issue is solved by June because that's my birthday." Yep, it better be a nice day on June 1st and Bay had better be out of the Hospital Ward then. She couldn't bear him hurting and he had already been out cold for two weeks before regaining consciousness.

"Nope, my name is just Lux." Plain and simple as that. A lot of people seemed to like her name, and she was with them on that because her name was unique and she liked it. "I'm here because I was bored and I was wanting to ask the portraits if they can feel the cold." She was a curious child, what could she say?

Pfft should be? SHOULD did not equal we are. If history taught him anything it was that things in the forest didn't always stay in the forest. "So...was he a Prefect or Head boy? Were they alone?" That seemed all kinds of odd. Older student or not why wouldn't the professors go out alone. That was their job after all.

"I would imagine it would be better by then." It would be summer then hopefully. Nice and warm. Just the thought of warmth made him feel a little warm. "And...well hopefully your boyfriend is all fixed up by then."

"I like your name. It stands out. Much better than James. I mean seriously my brother has a unique name even my mother and father have unique names. But me...nope just James." Sigh. Hearing why she was here he raised an eyebrow, "Um...that's interesting." In a weird way. But it was a valid question. Did they?

James listened to the girl and frowned. That sounded like a horrible situation. "I'm sorry he got hurt." No student should have. He looked at the young girl and smiled a little. "Always a good sign of improvement." Which begged the question why was she here and not there but one he didn't want to approach. Maybe they had a fight. None of his business.

"Simple like my head," he said with a laugh half jokingly. He might be a Ravie but that didn't mean he was all that smart. "My brother is Lucas. You may know him as the not so handsome one." He grinned and leaned against the wall as the girl talked to a portrait.

James seemed to be a nice boy, and Lux was liking him quite a bit already even though they had only just met. "I've been so worried about him, but I'm just glad he's starting to recover." Surely he was now since he was awake, right? That had to be a good sign. Lux was taking it as such and was very happy again. He'd be out of the Hospital Ward in no time.

SNORT. She had to laugh at his joke about his simple head. "My head is pretty simple too. So you're not alone." Haha, that was funny. "Your brother is named Lucas? As in the Lucas who is blonde and a Third Year?" Because if so, she had just met the brother of one of her besties.

Onto a new place. And Tag found the perfect spot. He stood in front of a portrait of a man whom seemed to be sleeping. The blonde hoped that this portrait was sleeping because he didn't want to bother him, you know? Either way, whether Tag bother the man in this portrait or not, he hoped that the portrait would feel significantly warmer.

Did portraits even get cold? That was the question here.

With the incantation and wand movement repeated in his head several times Tag thought he was ready to perform the spell.

Wand ready Tag performed the movement in that smooth swish of an infinity sign. "Caelum Saepio." Nothing. Nothing at all. Not even the faintest of fog. Give it another go. "Caelum Saepio." There. That seemed to do it.

The boy hovered his hand over the portrait and felt light heat coming off the portrait. That man should definitely be thankful for Tag's help.

James smiled at the young girl as she spoke and shoved his hands in his pockets not sure what to do with them. Part of him wanted to comfort her and give her a hug but maybe she wasn't the huggy type of person. So instead he kept leaning against the wall awkwardly.

Hearing her laugh his smile turned into a grin, "Least there's more than one simple minded person." At her question he nodded, "Yup that'd be him. I take it you know him?" he chuckled and reached his hand up to scratch his head.
