October 2083 (IC-wise) Welcome to Hufflepuff! A very warm COOL and enthusiastic welcome to our newly sorted Hufflepuffs. We hope you guys are having fun already! Congratulations on having the honor of belonging in the best House ever our House of gold and black! It is certainly a joy for us all to have you in it; however, if you do not share the same joy, I assure you that Hufflepuff and all its members will grow on you before you realize it.
But not everything is about our newest additions, for all you returning students are equally important to us. You know the rules, and you’re bound not to get lost by now, so please set a good example around the school. Remember you represent Hufflepuff, so do as a true Badger will do. In other words, Hogwarts is not a zoo, refrain from acting like monkeys, or zebras, or whatever animal you deem appropriate, outside (and inside as well) the privacy of the Common Room lounge.
Now, the most important part…have fun! (Do try to study in the meantime, as it would be lovely to continue on winning the house cup again, with your help of course!) Despite rumors, there is no man-eating plant on the grounds, but there is an adorable baby elf named Toddles in the kitchens!
If you're a bit confused or lost at first, don't worry, it's completely normal! We suggest you consult The Blunt Badger, a sub-section of the Herald which contains a staff list, helpful links, a FAQ, roleplay tips, classroom tips, and homework submission guidelines. If you still have questions, feel free to contact our Head of House, your House Mod, your Prefects or an older student. Have fun!
Head of House - Prof. Josephina F. Hadley (PhoenixRising)
House Mod - Mr Orsino Kirby (DJ ExpelliarMOOSE)
House Prefect - Elodie Robertser (Shanners)
House Prefect - Kaiden Yarborough (Yourenodaisy) The Herald's History The Hufflepuff Herald is your number one source of information concerning everything school-related. This is the 26th edition of the Herald, which has switched hands several times: Nabiya MacPherson, Raymond Luxury-Yacht, Evy Abagnale, Evan Cassels, Evzen Ferez, Caitlin White, Amelia Rose, Savannah Mae, Seth Paton, Kayla Winters, Dominic Denton, Tamzin Wood, Kaika Lockhart, Torin Kane, Miranda BelCanto, Sarah Griffin, Lorelai Bristol, Wesley Reagan, Melanie Lockhart, Cedric Leone, Arya Lovegoods, Treyen Lockhart, Isobel VonHue, Kita Lewis, Amy Samson, Keefer Marius, Evelyn Wellington, Lewis Rasting, Alyssa Potter, Annabelle Lecium, Oakey Gunter, Renesmee Dixon, Minerva Wheatborn, and Ella Bishop have been all been editors of the Herald. The current editors are Elodie Robertser (Shanners), Cristoffer Strand (FireboltAvis88), Aditya Rehman (FearlessLeader19), and Leah Abbott (nanyjj). Quidditch In case you missed the Daily Prophet article over the summer, Quidditch has been CANCELLED due to a serious threat against student athletes. However, that is the IC reason; there is a SERIOUS OOC reason behind the cancelling of the sport; read here for more information. House Points Hufflepuff: 0 Slytherin: -7 Raveclaw: 4 Gryffindor: 0
