"Sure, no problems. I had in fact invited him to join us too," Cris smiled in agreement with Jasmine. Turning to the younger boy, he smiled down at him,"My name is Cris and it's nice meeting you. I'll get started on the watering once you immobilize the plants," he smiled at the young Slytherin.

Companions, not pets. Gotcha.

Lux nodded at what Professor Bentley said; she would keep a note of it. But Awww, no more feeding scraps. As gross as the feed was, she had started to enjoy this a little.

New tasks were given, and since she was a Third Year she could help immobilize. Pointing her wand at one of the shrubs she called out, "Immobulus!"

One immobilized plant that was ready to be fertilized. "Anyone want to come over and fertilize this shrub?" She was trying not to be loud, but she wanted to be heard. A Lion or a Claw was needed over here.

Penelope wasn't particularly thrilled with being stuck with the dung part of the activity, but she'd get over it. It wasn't really that bad, and this was what showers were for anyway. So she pulled out her wand to get ready to immobilize one of the plants before she scooped out some of the dung, and...

...oh hey, some kid over there had already immobilized one. And he looked to be a Slytherin so he'd have to water it. Well, this was easy. She'd just go throw dung on his plant, yeah?

"Sure, I will," she said to him, scooping out the dung with one of the containers Bentley provided.

Oh. "Well that's good because I think that would make you sick." All the blood and stuff. It made sense that she didn't lick it then, because that would have actually been gross. "I don't think the plants think that it's yummy." Kyroh stated glancing at the plants. "I just think that they think that it's the only way they can keep on living. So they eat it." Like if ALL you ever got to eat in life was macaroni and cheese you'd keep on eating it cause you had to. Not cause you thought it was yummy.


Plant info. It all made sense to him, simply because Kyroh's digestive system could not handle uncooked meat.

Kyroh....didn't get the joke. He just stared. First the Groundskeeper ate kids. And now apparently there was a chance to be eaten by flesh eating plants in Herbology.

Hogwarts didn't seem that safe.

"I'm one of the kids who do listen." Kyroh stated. Just in case she was looking for those non-listeners you know?



Looking at the uncooked meat again, he was about to throw it when Bentley started up. They were done feeding? Already? Glancing around the first year tossed his meat out to the closest bush only to have it snatched and gobbled up.

Dragons dung time? "DIMA!!!" The freckled boy yelled loudly. "You can sprinkle the dragon dung!" Cause dung didn't come from hurting any animals at all, and he had noticed the boys problem with the meat. Yup. Making his way over to the container Kyroh scooped out some dragon dung and he found his way over to Toby and the now immobilized plant. "Hi Protector!" Sloooowly he began to shake the scoop, letting the dung fall evenly.

Flesh eaters...

Always something to be watchful of in a wizarding garden, especially if you were a visitor and not aware of their presence. Benny took notes on what was being said both about the two largest bushes that Bentley had focused on and the others shown in general oberservation. Care requirements....things to watch out for... things to do or not do. All of importance and all that could come up later in some form or another.

When they had been been told to help feed the various plants with the given meat items collected for just that purpose, the Gryffindor had obeyed. The third year prefering to throw the items into the dangerous plants mouths to avoid all chance of getting eaten or bitten at least. And the spell, while easy, wasn't too much in his favor given the growing habit of being run into lately.
And then Professor Bentley wanted to move on and Benny was fine helping give out the last bit of meet but stopped himself from gathering some pieces when he registered further instructions were given for both Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. Right...fertilization. So instead of retrieving more food, he picked up a container and scooped up a collection of dung and moved over to one of the nearest plants.

"Immobulus," he cast, taking the hint as a third year like the professor had instructed. Once the plant slowed, he cautiouslyadding some dung around the base of it.

Dung, dung, dung for everybody. AJ had managed to fertilize all of the immobilized plants around her and she still had plenty of dung to go around. Hmmm... she definitely shouldn't try to immobilize any plants on her own right? Yeah, the head of house lady was sure not to like that. "Anybody need me to sprinkle dragon poop?" If the answer was yes, then she was your girl.

Orrr you know people could zap some more plants for her and she would gladly sprinkle the dung herself. "Anybody up for immobilizing more plants?" Teamwork got results, FACT! She watched the older kids doing the spell work and tried to remember it so she could practice later. It would be a handy spell she thought!

Angel suddenly heard her identical sister speak. "I want to work with you sis." Angel beamed, she thought it would be cool if they could. "I'm sure I can do the spell if you want me to." Angel really thought it would be cool to see if they were good at lessons together and to see if they could confuse the Professor, she thought it would be fun if Aubrey called her Aubrey when replying to her and she tried to give her sister the telepathic thought, she was hoping that her sister would receive it.

Oh look! He had summoned a someone. A Gryffindor someone. And he didn't even have to do something dumb or exceptionally brave to do so.

But WHO? Because Grayson couldn't place a name to that face. She looked like she was older than him, something he noted. That hardly said anything on intelligence but he DID hope she wasn't dumb and expected him to do all the work. That wasn't how this was going to work.

Regardless, he smiled a little in her direction. "Thanks. I'll water the plant while you sprinkle the dung?" he suggested, twirling his wand around in his hand. That was what he was meant to do, being a Slytherin and all. And this was meant to be about teamwork or whatever.

Oh. Hold the phone. Was he meant to introduce himself? Oh jeez. Oh MAN he man, he'd have to, didn't he? "The name's Grayson, by the way." Helloooooooooooo person.

Did her ears deceive her? There was somebody who needed fertilizing and what do you know AJ had fertilizer. "Me, me, pick me!" AJ came hobbling with her bucket swinging back and forth. "Oh nice job." Those plants wouldn't be getting a taste of this first year.

She grabbed a handful of dragon dung and sprinkled it on the plant nice and evenly. "That should do it." Now all they needed was somebody to water and it was made clear that it wasn't her job to do so even if she was willing.

"Wanna help me sprinkle the dung since that it all we can do unfortunately?" They needed people from other houses to get the job completely done. "I just fertilized those plants, but let's get with an older student so you can give it a go too Aubrey." Oh yeah, she knew that look. The sisters were good at understanding what each other wanted without even speaking a word.

Angel giggled as she looked at her sister. "Yeah Angel, I'd love to help you sprinkle fertilizers on the plants." Angel grabbed hold of some of the fertilizer and looked around for a plant that looked liked it needed it, she suddenly saw one. "Can someone make it so I can give that poor plant some, it really needs some." Angel sighed, seriously the plant needed to be looked after and Angel wasn't missing a single one out.

AWESOME! Someone was coming over to her.

Beaming, Lux saw that it was Angel. Or no... maybe it was her sister? It was hard to tell when they looked so much alike. Would it be rude of her to ask which sister it was who had approached her?

Deciding that it was best to keep quiet on that, she smiled at the girl. "Awesome job with the fertilizing!" Pulling out her wand, she used Aquamenti to give the shrub some water. "We are a great team!" She was actually starting to like this lesson. As long as there was no touching of dead rats, Lux was all good.

Finishing up with his own plant, Benny heard the two Gryffindor sisters nearby trying to work with what they could since they were limited as first years. Moving closer, the third year figured he could at least offer to help them with the spellwork.

Angel, it appeared, had already gotten assistance from other another student so that left Aubrey on her own technically even as the siblings worked together. "Hey....need some help Aubrey?" he asked, his wand already back out. "Immobulus," he cast at the nearest plant not already helped.

Vinnie eyed the dead rat in the boys hand and raised an eyebrow. They could have at least gave them like raw steaks or something...this wasnt very nice. But the boy didnt seem to mind...and he was younger than her. How had she missed out on herbology so massively? Maybe it was like a talent, you had it or you didnt. It was pretty impressive.

„I guess i was daydreaming in class“, she chuckled and smiled at the boy. It was really funny that he called her mademoiselle. The Slytherin was anything but a mademoiselle. If he saw her in her normla clothes, not her school uniform he would think so too. „Thanks for helping me out.“ That was a nice move and Vinnie certainly appreciated it...a lot.

„Nahhh just an owl“, the brunette shook her head,“ maybe thats why i am struggling.“ She should have dragged Louis here, at least he owned a cat, that was pretty close to a dog right?! The girl watched her new partner feed his plant and gulped.Shift its attention from her to the actual food? She hadnt planned on dying anytime soon so it would be most fortunate if the plant ate the food and not her. Plus she needed all of her fingers to play drums.

It was fascinating how at ease the boy seemed with the task, this probably wasnt the first plant he was feeding.“ Wow, you know a lot about plants dont you?“, Vinnie said and eyed the plant devouring that dead rat. Poor little thing. Drawn by the image in front of her, as bizarre as it was, the fifth year didnt notice he had left to get her a rat. Only when he stood in front of her with it she did. „I'll try“, she nodded,“ but will you rescue me if its daring to eat me alive?“ Vinnie wasnt scared of it just...she had a lot of respect for that plant. „I am Vinnie“, the Slytherin smiles big,“ its nice to meet you. We can shale hands after class.“ Now wasnt the best moment, dead rat in hand and all.

First plant done, Lux gave Angel (or was it Aubrey?) a smile and thumbs up before moving on to another shrub. With her wand, she cast "IMMOBULUS!" again and watched as the plant froze.

This spell was so cool, she could never get tired of using it. Now where was someone who could fertilize this thing?

Jamine got the dung and headed back to take care of the plants. She wasn't sure how she was so lucky that she got that assignment. It appeared to be the week for smelly lessons. First There was the zombie smell, then dragon dung. Go figure.

Since both Ethan's and Cris' plants had been immobilized all Jasmine had to do was put down the fertilizer. First, she addressed Ethan's geraniums, sprinkling dung on top of the soil around them. When she felt like she had spread an adequate amount on the soil, Jasmine went over to Cris' bush. Bending down, she repeated the process by sprinkling dung beneath and around the bushes. Satisfied that both plants were well covered, Jasmine stood up. Turning tothe boys, she said, "All done here. If Ethan's plant has been watered, we can move on to the next one. Any requests?"

Angel knew she had to keep it cool, otherwise Benny would realise that she was Angel and not Aubrey and that would ruin everything. "Oh I would love some." Angel smiled as she watched him use the spell, he was good at it, "I love doing this." Angel sprinkled the fertiliser on the plant and smiled, she was sure that it was feeling much better already now it had some new fertilizer to help it grow. "Thank Benny." Angel beamed.

Bay had picked up a bag of fertilizer as he made his way around the garden putting down some of the dung around the plants bottoms that were already immobilized. Hearing Lux say that he plant needed to be fertilized he moved his way over to her.

"here you go hun" he said as he sprinkled the plant that she was standing in front of with dung.. "its a bit smelly" he said as he thought it was best for him to have a shower later to scrub off the layers of stench.

Awesome! It was Bay!

Beaming, she watched as he sprinkled the fertilizer. "Thanks, dear." And he was certainly right about the smell. BLEH. Using her wand, she watered the shrub. There. Another one was taken care of.

"Want to work as a team?" Why not? It could be fuuuuun even though the fertilizer's smell made her scrunch her nose a little.

Once she had an okay amount of dung scooped out - how much exactly was a "light sprinkling" anyway? - Penelope turned her attention to the Slytherin kid and nodded. "Yep, pretty much." That was their task, wasn't it? He watered it, she sprinkled dung on it, and the plant was a happy though immobilized little camper.

Oh, introductions? Sure. "Nice to meet you." Even if it was in a class. "I'm Penelope." So with those done...were they supposed to start? How long would that spell last? She sprinkled a tiny bit of dung out just in case.

"Flippnsnipwitit." He chopped another small chunk off of the larger whole of the ...heart? Then levitating it over toward the pygmy piranha plant and deposited it near the maws watching them hungrily devour it and reminding him of their namesake.

Although, Bentley had mentioned that some were to hand out the last scraps of meat, he sort of wanted to move on. Did these plants react as normal plants to when watered? Or were they viscous hunters about it? Covetous? Cutty took his wand and moved, cautiously over to one of the larger shrubs and took fire, "Immobulus!" Freezing the plant where it stood.

"you welcome" he said as he finished springing his first plant and as soon as he was done Lux had watered it for him "awwwww you just think of everything" he winked at her..

"oh sure, I'd love to work as a team" beaming he adjusted the bag of fertilizer in his arms as he started to make his way towards her so they could get a good system going.. "you immobilize and then i'll sprinkle the dung… and you water?" he was totally fine doing the heavy lifting.

Seemed this snake had it ALL figured out. Maddie considered the older girl for a minute or too before nodding her head in agreement. She DID need someone to immobilize plants and if this girl was offering, why not take her up on it? "Yeah, sounds like a plan."

Brown eyes focused on what the Slytherin was doing with her wand. The movement and the incantation, paying careful attention to the latter. "Immobulus." She whispered to herself, waching as the plants stopped moving. That was DEFINITELY a handy spell to know. "Cool." She was going to learn this as SOON as possible but first, dung to be sprinkled. Maddie headed towards the shrub not being fertilized by the Gryffindor girl and set to work sprinkling the dung. She was finished in no time and ready for another. That's when she noticed ANOTHER snake using the spell. Naturally she wanted to observe so she turned in his direction and watched him carefully.

He'd done the spell well TOO and Maddie felt jealously well up in her. Why couldn't SHE do this yet? She WANTED to be able to work by herself and help the plants but she figured teamwork got the job done faster. STILL. She was determined to learn.

"Immobulus." She repeated the incantation again and shuffled towards the older boy, sprinkling some dung on the shrub he'd immobilized. Then she winked at him and sauntered back towards the Snake Girl. You're welcome.

Laughing, Lux was happy that she was getting to work with her boyfriend. They always were an amazing team! "That sounds good to me! Is that bag heavy?" Goodness knows she wouldn't be strong enough to hold it like he was.

Looking around the area, she spotted another plant that looked as if it needed some TLC. "Come on, let's do this other one." Knowing that he would follow, she immobilized the plant so that it could be fertilized and watered.

Oh good. Not an argumentalist, this one wasn't. Grayson didn't know how he'd have dealt with someone who only wanted to do things their way. The arguments, man. They were tiring to take part in and who knows, this one could be sassy. Smaller people were like that, from his experience. "Okay. I'm glad you agree," he said, rolling up the sleeves of his robes. It was true.

She had MANNERS. Oh jeez. He'd have to be NICE. "And you, Penelope." He gave her a single nod before turning his attention towards the plant. Clearing his throat, the boy pointed his wand over at the root of the plant and said, "Aguamenti!" Not that loud so that only a small trickle of the water could be poured onto the base of the plant.

"Er, do you know how long we're meant to be doing this for?"

Marisol had the feeling that everyone was having fun with their friends but her. So she went up to a fellow first year (a Gryffindor?) and began to introduce herself. It was quite logical if you considered it from Mari's perspective, even though said Gryffindor was already chatting with an older boy. The Slytherin girl, however, was willing to crash their party.

"Hi," the Snake started. "I'm Marisol. You are a twin, no?" Mari had always wanted to be a twin. Better yet, a triplet. Instead she got herself a twenty year-old sister, and the two couldn't be more different.
