The Gryffindor was half tempted to stick her badge on then lie about Prefect privileges but then she heard an indecisive voice just behind her.
Oh? When did she not become the last person in the line?
Twisting slightly, Lex caught sight of what looked like a Firstie. Had to be, she'd never seen him before. "Chocolate frog." She said with a solemn nod. He may not have been talking to her but she was helping him make all the right life choices. "Sugar quills too but only after you've gotten enough chocolate frogs--jelly slugs should happen too. I don't recommend the beans but that's all you after you've gotten the already recommended few."
She paused, giving him a once over. "And you are?"
Huh? Chocolate frog?
Was that girl talking to HIM? Dima looked around to see if she was speaking to someone else, but apparently that wasn't the case. "I like all of those! Beans included. I always get to try something new when I eat them. But chocolate frogs are the best."
Pause. He was...?
"Hungry!" Yeah!

Nothing the boy said after chocolate frogs being the best mattered. That was the only thing needed to get this boy into her good books. If you didn't have an appreciation for chocolate frogs then you didn't exist, the rules were just that simple.
There was a moment of blinking that followed though....because she could swear the kid just said his name was 'Hungry' and you know what? Who was she to tease and poke fun??? "Fancy." She said, leaning closer to observe his face before drawing back and giving him another once over. "I gotta say, you don't look like a 'Hungry' but your parents must've known what they were doing so I'll go with it." Nevermind all the normal names out there. "Don't think you'll get teased much, there's worse out there--you should hear the Potion Professor's." She could hardly pronounce it.
"I'm Alexa--Lex really. It's not as....er....exotic(?) as Hungry but you'll get over it, yeah?"

Sugar intolerance wasn't as interesting an answer as Maddie had hoped for but she'd take it. "S'unfortunate for you." 'Cause sweets were awesome. So awesome, in fact, that them being so close yet so far was doing Maddie's head in. How was it that she still didn't have the chocolate she craved in hand?
The eleven year old inched forward a bit more and then looked over her shoulder again, eyeing the sugarless girl curiously. "So what happens when you eat some by mistake?" For future reference and all. It was good to know these things about people.
"I'll live." Even though she sometimes wished that she didn't have sugar intolerance. But hey, its not like she missed anything, right? They're just sweets. And too much sweets is not good for your health.
And why this line didn't move at all? Move it people!
What happen when she at sweets by mistake? "Die." Nah. "I become addicted to it." Its not like anything like her brother addictions to chocolate frogs, its more like you-can't-live-without-it addictions.
This line was taking too long. What's going there? "Are you a first year too?" Since she didn't have other things to do while waiting to get her snacks might as well continue talking with the girl in front of her.

He let himself be observed, far too busy with the prospect of food to care about the girl's look overs.
Not that Dima would have cared if he wasn't preoccupied either.
"Huh?" Oh, did she want to know who he was? "My name's Dima, not Hungry." Hungry Toussaint didn't have a very nice ring to it, did it?
But he WAS hungry. Famished, even. Though Famished Toussaint didn't sound much better.
"Nice to meet you." Pause. "What's the Potions professor called?"

"No problem, you're most welcome. I'm glad you're feeling better now. You did? Maybe when we're done here, I can follow you back there and help you with that window," Cris offered the moment the boy mentioned he had attempted to open the window in his compartment.
"I'm back somewhere over there...or is it there?" Cris gestured over in one direction before realizing he was pointing in the wrong direction...or was it? "Well I do know I'm somewhere in the middle. Where exactly I don't know but I'm sure I'll find it when I come to it...I hope." Cris grinned back at the boy, knowing how easy it could be to get lost, even on a train.
"So, I'm Cris and it's nice to meet you. This will be my first year at Hogwarts." he introduced himself, sticking out his hand to shake the boy's before blurting out the one question he had been wanting to ask the boy ever since he mentioned that his coat was thick.
"Um....I apologize for being so nosey, but may I ask why you're wearing such a thick coat in the middle of summer? Is it your favorite?"
========================================
Cris grinned at Jasmine even as his tummy rumbled. "Actually I've been hungry ever since I boarded the train. I believe the Cornish pasties are delicious. I'm going to get some. I can share them with you if you want. That way you won't be wasting your money if you don't like it," he told her as his tummy rumbled again.
Laughing, he patted his tummy. "Shush, I'm talking to a pretty girl right now. Stop interrupting," he spoke down to it, not realizing he had just revealed that he considered Jasmine pretty.
Then he blushed when he heard what she said next and gulped back the lump in his throat. "Okay ," he quickly nodded in agreement. "Yes we will tackle Hogwarts together. Two newbies," he smiled down at her.
"So would you like some cucumber sandwiches too?" he grinned over at her gesturing to the cellophane wrapped packages on the Food Trolley.
Jasmine laughed when Cris' stomach growled at the mention of food. She was trying to hard to keep her own stomach from betraying her hunger. Wait. Did he just call her pretty? Awwww, now it was Jasmine's turn to blush.
Jasmine meant what she had said about the two of them taking in Hogwarts together. She was glad she had a new friend to share the experience with. They would both understand what the other one was going through, being a transfer and all.
Then Cris asked about cucumber sandwiches. What was it with this bunch and cucumber sandwiches? "Um.....no. I think I'll pass on the cucumber sandwiches. I will give the Cornish pasties a try though.". They definitely sounded better than cucumber sandwiches.

Dima. Not very common either but far more acceptable than Hungry; she'd take it. "Right....Dima...mmk." Committed to memory, as most other names were until she was given reason to forget. So far he didn't seem bad...in fact he was a curious one, wasn't he?
Now, see, Lex could have been the responsible Prefect here and oh...maybe told the poor kid the truth but then, they still had a lot of train track between them and Hogwarts and this line was going no where. Alexa put on a perfectly straight face. "Professor Corkrash Collarbin but you already know that Professor Collarbin will do just fine." Did she feel bad about this? Not particularly, no, the man said he'd kill her kneazle and made her write an essay on being a Prefect.
"You'll wanna greet him the moment you walk into the class otherwise he'll get offended, got it?" Helpful wasn't she? If Lex had taken the boy for one a little slower on the uptake she'd have told him to say the Slytherin Headboy told him as much.
If he pulled this off, she'd welcome him as a Gryffindor even if the hat said otherwise.

Despite eating food provided by both Bay, and his mother, Lux was still hungry. Her appetite could be rather large, and she liked to think it was because of her growing. This girl really wanted to become taller, because being short really sucked.
Reaching the back of the line, Lux waited patiently for her turn.

This line was taking too long. What's going there? "Are you a first year too?" Since she didn't have other things to do while waiting to get her snacks might as well continue talking with the girl in front of her.
Well duh. Maddie raised her eyebrows a little and nodded. Yes, she was aware that not being able to eat sugar wasn't life threatening, thank you.
The brunette smirked slightly at the girl's comment about dying and tilted her head, as if sizing her up. She'd just given Maddie some pretty interesting information, did she know? Shouldn't give away your weaknesses so easily, kid. Not that Maddison had any reason to use it just now. She'd store it away. "That's different." And the eleven year old couldn't help but wonder how crazy this girl would go if she got her hands on a chocolate frog.
Inching forward a bit more, Maddie nodded her head. "Yup. You?" She looked it. Unless she was an extremely short second year or something. "What do you know about this Hogwarts place, anyway?"
Trying not to pay too much attention to the younger boy's efforts as he seemingly tried to rub off some non-existent dirt off his face, Cris smiled at him, waving off the boy's thanks.

"Um....I apologize for being so nosey, but may I ask why you're wearing such a thick coat in the middle of summer? Is it your favorite?"
It was so nice to speak to someone who was so nice. Or just speak to anyone, as a matter of fact. Until now Monty had somewhat kept to himself. Despite his attire he was actually quite shy. Another "Oh, thanks" was all he could squeak out.
"Uhhh, Montague Fuzzlepeck. The third." His father never let him forget that - 'You are third generation, Montague. Do us proud!' - It made him so much more nervous. Swallowing, he looked at Cris' hand and slowly took hold of it, shaking as firmly as his much smaller one would allow. "Most people call me Monty, though. It's nice to meet you!"
Oh, yes. His coat. It was a thing of beauty, if he did say so himself. But certainly not what you'd really wear in summer, to be sure. He just had to though.
Looking back down, Monty pulled up the bottom of his robes so Cris could get a better look at the full outfit - tights, shoes, short trousers, waistcoat, ruffle shirt and frock coat. And it was definitely the coat causing the overheating.
"I like to dress up. It's fun. This is my favourite, yes. Although I have more in my trunk. Along with some regular clothes. At my mother's insistence."
Despite eating food provided by both Bay, and his mother, Lux was still hungry. Her appetite could be rather large, and she liked to think it was because of her growing. This girl really wanted to become taller, because being short really sucked.

Kace was getting really hungry. He realized he didn't eat lunch before he came onto the train. Might have been due to the fact they were rushing this morning. His father got back late last night and overslept. He wanted to go set off Kace for Hogwarts. He appreciated it all the same.
As he heard his stomach growl, he waited online and noticed a familiar face. He smirked and went to her. He sneaked up and said, "BOO!"

Contemplating how many Chocolate Frogs she wanted to buy, Lux obviously had no idea that Kace had snuck up behind her until he yelled in her ear.
Squealing, the girl jumped. Her heart was hammering. "Kace, that was not funny!" But of course she started to laugh as she calmed down. Lordy, that had scared her.

"Sorry i couldn't resist.." he shrugged his shoulders innocently. "I hope i didn't scare you too bad." he teased her a little bit. His stomach growled and he rubbed it. "What food are you getting?" he asked her curiously. "And have you seen Emmy around the train?"

Shaking her head in amusement, Lux continued to laugh and then gave Kace a hug. It was nice to see him again; she hadn't since that time they had all hung out in Diagon Alley together and went bowling. "It's okay, I will live." It just was hard to focus on her surroundings sometimes when she had Chocolate Frogs on the brain.
Hearing his stomach growling, the girl smiled. "I'm getting Chocolate Frogs." All of the ones she had brought were in her luggage, of course. So that meant she was without again for the moment. "What are you getting? And I haven't seen her. I was hoping you had." How strange. Seriously, where were Cinnamon and Emmy?

First our love for the wildlife parks in San Diego and second our possible aversion to the taste of cucumber sandwiches?" Cris raised an eyebrow even as he grinned down at Jasmine.
"Yes Cornish pasties it'll be and maybe a couple of chocolate frogs, some of those pumpkin pasties, a couple of cauldron cakes and oh yes we definitely need to get some of Bertie Botts Every Flavored beans." Cris pointed out their selection.
"I especially like the marmalade flavored ones. Do you think we've got enough? I guess we could always come back and get some more if we're still hungry," Cris winked at Jasmine as he waited for the person in front of him to give their order.
"So how long did you live in San Diego? I've lived in Bergen almost all my life. I would love to return to visit San Diego again. The beaches there are nice although I have to admit that Hawaii has better places to go surfing. Have to Hawaii before?....and I rambling again aren't I?" Cris paused when he realized what he was doing.
....yes maybe it would be good, if he actually allowed Jasmine to answer some of his questions and ask some of hers.
It was so nice to speak to someone who was so nice. Or just speak to anyone, as a matter of fact. Until now Monty had somewhat kept to himself. Despite his attire he was actually quite shy. Another "Oh, thanks" was all he could squeak out.

Cris blinked as the boy introduced himself. Such a small boy with a long name, albeit a very respectful sounding name. Resisting the urge to click his heels together and bow to the boy, because that was how he saw others do when addressing people with fancy names like Monty's, Cris just shook his hand instead.
"Well it is nice to meet you, Monty. My full name isn't as fancy as yours but I still like it. My name is Cristoffer Daniel Strand, Master Fuzzleback. I'm sorry I got that wrong didn't I?" Cris paused when he realized his mistake.
"Let me try that again. It's Master Fuzzlepeck. Did I get that right? My mother reminded me that it is always important to get a person's name right." Cris smiled at the boy.
Then talk was centered on the coat Monty had mentioned. When the younger boy raised the bottom of his robes to show what he was wearing underneath, Cris caught a glimpse of some ruffled material. Bending down to get a clearer view, he was surprised to see what Monty was wearing. Sure it was alright to play dress up, heck he did that all the time, his favorite being a pirate, but to actually wear them, here on the train, and at school, took a lot of guts.
....and Cris had to admit Monty had plenty of that. Either that or he just felt comfortable wearing those clothes...and there was nothing wrong with that either. Cris just began to worry what the other students in school might have to say about Monty's idiosyncrasies. Some of them could be downright cruel. Cris made a mental note to himself to keep a watch over the younger boy.
However, he on the other hand, admired the boy. This young boy knew what he liked and wasn't afraid to show it. "Where did you find these clothes, Monty? They are awesome. You say you have more than one? Would it be possible for you to show it to me later? I only have two outfits. A pirate one and a..." Cris paused to make sure was eavesdropping on their conversation before continuing in a whispered voice,"costume of the Avenger superhero, Thor. I even have his Heimdall."
"Of course neither of them are as fancy or elaborate as yours." Cris quickly added.
Well duh. Maddie raised her eyebrows a little and nodded. Yes, she was aware that not being able to eat sugar wasn't life threatening, thank you.

Candice raised her eyebrows when she saw the girl smirking. What's that smirk for? Did she say something interesting that made her smirk like that? Hmm.. Different. Its perfectly normal for sugar intolerance people but she's not going to tell her that. She already gave the girl too much information anyway.
She was pretty sure that she used 'too' in her question. Apparently the girl didn't hear it. "Uh uh." Nod. "Not much. Just the houses and a few cool places in Hogwarts my brother told me about." And he did say to stay away from the kitchen because of the House Elves. Yeah not happening. House Elves didn't scare her. "What about you? What do you know about Hogwarts?" Maybe the girl had some informations that she didn't know. "I'm Candice by the way."

Jasmine was amused when Cris mentioned tht he wasn't a fan of cucumber sandwiches either. When he listed all of the items they should buy at the food trolley, she couldn't believe it. Guess he really was hungry. They could come back for more if they were still hungry? "Still hungry? Are you serious? How could we possibly be hungry if we eat that much food?"
"I lived in San Diego until I was ten years old. Then I had a couple of stops in between before I ended up at Beauxbatons. My mother is from France and she thought it would be a good idea for me to go to school there. Let's just say that I don't think I'll spend too much time missing that place.". Jasmine never really felt like she fit in at Beauxbatons. She was really hoping that things would be different at Hogwarts.
"I have been to Hawaii and it is so beautiful. I agree with you, those beaches are something special.""So you surf?", Jasmine asked Cris. She smiled, trying to imagine a boy from Norway surfing. She was really curious about Cris. He seemed to be a very interesting young man, one that she hoped to get to know better. "So you mentioned that you have an older brother. "However, I didn't buy all this for us. I figured I'd share them with Bay and Lux," he grinned back at her finally relenting on his teasing. "I've seen how much Bay and Lux eat. All this will be gone really fast. Hence, the second helpings," Cris gestured back at the trolley.
"So you lived in San Diego until you were 10 years old? It must have been hard to leave it. You mentioned moving around a little. Did you like doing that? I get that Beauxbaton thing though. My brother's girlfriend attended that school too, but she's now in Hogwarts. From what I can recall, she didn't have many fond memories of it either." Cris revealed to Jasmine.
As for himself, he loved being in Durmstrang and one of the hardest things for him was saying goodbye to his friends. However, having heard how much Sander had loved attending Hogwarts, Cris decided that it was time for a break. Yes he would be further away from his family but he considered the distance right now a blessing. At least for the next months or so, he wouldn't have to hear his father bemoaning the fact that neither of his sons wanted to take over his shipping business.
However, now wasn't the time to think about that. Here he was standing with a very pretty girl and she deserved his full attention.
He laughed when she more or less asked whether he surfed. She sounded surprised. "Yes I surf. I know you must be thinking how someone who spends most of his time in snow in Norway, knows how to surf. Well I do a lot of snowboarding on the slopes, so it really isn't that hard to switch to surfing. The technique is almost the same, only instead of avoiding smashing into trees and big boulders, you try to avoid getting wiped out by the waves," he explained before chuckling.
"As you can see, I love all kinds of sports. I dabble a little in Quidditch but I much prefer rock climbing and mixed martial arts which is a muggle form of defense, speedskating, swimming and running...not necessarily in that order. What about you? What do you like to do?" Cris asked in turn.
"My siblings? Well you know about Sander. He's the eldest of five of us. Then there's my sister, Annalise, then there's me, the middle son, Elin my youngest sister comes next and Andreas, my other brother is the youngest. So there's seven in my family. Living with the seven of us are 4 freed house elvevs, three dogs, a couple of puppies, two cats, five owls, two pygmy puffs, three Granians, a pair of Abraxans and Thestrals, plus a Norwegian Ridgeback. That makes up our entire household," Cris rattled off the count for Jasmine, adding in the last creature as a joke, just to see whether she had been keeping tabs.
"What about you? Do you have any brothers or sisters? What about pets?"
Cris only excuse for asking Jasmine so many questions was because she really intrigued him and he wanted to get to know her better.
Penelope had made sure to pack a few snacks for the train, but she wanted to stop by the food trolley to get a few more. You could never have too much food after all. She probably wouldn't eat it all on the train anyway, so she'd have some snacks for the dorm too. The seventh year dorm.
That was starting to feel a little weird. She was ready for it and wasn't super upset over the idea of it being her last term at Hogwarts, but it WAS a little strange when she thought about it. How was it her seventh term already? It didn't seem like her first one was all that long ago, although it felt like ages at the same time. Time was so weird.
These thoughts kinda distracted her from paying attention to whether the line was moving forward or if there was anyone around her.
Cinnamon had forgotten to eat breakfast this morning. Luckily at Kings Cross she stopped by the snack bar thing and loaded up with stuff there. Mostly muggle snack stuff. That stuff was long gone now. But this, this was the real good stuff. She didn't even know there was a food trolley on the train until she seen people walking around with food. After that she just followed her nose to food trolley.
Well this was nice, very nice. Lots and lots of snacks. Good. Lots and lots people. Bad. So she quickly grabbed a place in line and waited. And waited. What was the hold up? Did someone want one of everything? No wait that was her. Not really. The trolley was going to run out of food before she wou;d get up to be next in line. What was the hold up?
She stretched her neck around the girl in front of her. Ohhhh that was the problem. The girl in front of her was daydreaming. Probably about her boyfriend. Eyeroll. Well she didn't want to be rude, and tell the other girl to move it or lose it. The other girl looked like she was a lot older than her. So instead she tapped her on the shoulder and asked her "So what are you going to get?" Because if she didn't narrow down her options soon she was really going to get ONE of everything.

"What about you? Do you have any brothers or sisters? What about pets?"
Cris only excuse for asking Jasmine so many questions was because she really intrigued him and he wanted to get to know her better.
So his brother's girlfriend went to Beauxbatons too. Jasmine wondered if she knew her. "Yes it was very hard to leave San Diego. I kind of left kicking and screaming, but what could I do. I still miss it a lot, but at least I get to visit pretty often. My father is in the U.S. Navy so we moved for that reason. I guess we were lucky to live in one city for as long as we did, but that meant that we were away from my Dad for long periods of time." Jasmine thought about how unhappy she was each time her family packed up and moved. She always learned to like her new home......eventually, but it was hard. For some reason though, she didn't feel all that sad about leaving Beauxbatons.
So Cris did surf. His explanation of how his snowboarding skills transferred to surfing made sense. It was just amusing to imagine someone from such a wintery place on a surfboard. "I like sports too. I like doing things that keep me active really. Of course I like to swim and anything that has to do with water or the beach. I like to run, ride my bike and most of all I like to dance. I've been dancing since I was a little girl. I like to watch sports too. My Dad, my brother and I always liked to watch baseball and American football together."
Jasmine's eyes got wide when Cris started to talk about his family and their various pets. "You've got a regular VonTrapp family there", she said in awe. "It must be a lot of fun at your house.". Jasmine tried to imagine the scene at Cris' house with all of the kids and the many animals at home all at once. "Wait, you were kidding about the dragon right?". At least she hoped he was kidding. "I have a brother who is two years older and a little sister who is nine. I'm very close to both of them and I'm really going to miss them a lot. We are actually pretty boring though......we only have one dog. I am hoping to get a pygmy puff one day." Jasmine was really enjoying her time talking to Cris. He was so.....easy to talk to. She was glad that she had met him on the Peru trip and that they had hit it off immediately.

Why was she not told that there was a food trolley earlier? AJ eagerly made her way to the swarm of students and tried to get a good look at what there was to offer. There were far too many bigger kids in front of her to get a good look.
Aubrey stood on her tiptoes. "It's no use." she said to no one in particular. She jingled the loose chain in her pockets and tried to imagine all of the different treats that awaited her.

She was glad that she had met him on the Peru trip and that they had hit it off immediately.
Cris listened intently as Jasmine explained the reason why she had to leave San Diego and had moved around somewhat. Having a parent who travelled alot always did make an impact on how the rest of the family lived. "In the Navy huh? That is an admirable vocation. Before I was born, my family moved a couple of times too. At that time, my grandfather was in-charge. He wanted to ensure that the subsidiaries that had been set up in other countries was managed properly, so he sent my father to do that. I believe my family spent some time in Spain, Germany, France, the U.S. and Singapore. Crazy right?" he asked Jasmine shaking his head even as he thought how incredulous it sounded.
"You like to dance?" Cris immediately perked up when he heard Jasmine mention that she liked dancing. What a coincidence, they had another thing in common. Excited in the knowledge that he knew someone who loved to dance, Cris discreetly looked around to make sure no one was within eavesdropping distance, before leaning over to whisper in her ear.
"Don't tell anyone but I love to dance too. Most of the time, I dance when no one's around, but Andreas caught me once, and now the family knows about it. But they have kept my secret," Cris winked conspiratorally at her. "So do you have a favorite style or do you just dance to the rhythm of whatever beat it is?" he asked her in turn. Cris really wanted to ask Jasmine to dance for him, but since they were just getting to know each other, he didn't want to sound too pushy and make her feel uncomfortable. However, he hoped that one day, hopefully soon, that would change. He really did want to see her dance suspecting that no matter what style of dance it was, she would look really graceful.
However for now, just getting to know her better was just as interesting. Then Jasmine mentioned the name of a family he found vaguely familiar. "The VonTrapp's? Wait that's the family that was featured in that Sound of Music movie, right?" Cris asked when it suddenly dawned on him where he had heard that name before. "I think we're a few people shy of their number and my parents definitely don't sing, but yes I can see the similarities." he smiled in agreement with her.
"Uh huh...we do have a dragon. A great big, fire breathing Norwegian Ridgeback who would always allow me to ride on his back all the time. His name is Puff and he's this Biiiigggg," Cris stretched out his arms as far as he could. But then one look at her and he found he couldn't maintain the charade any longer. Dropping his arms, he burst out laughing.
"I'm sorry I couldn't resist. No, we don't have a Ridgeback but we do have the rest of the creatures I mentioned. I have to admit Pygmy Puffs are cute. Sander got his from someone he met on this very train at the beginning of his school term. He's been stuck with it ever since. Elin has the other one. My mother says that Trigg is going to have babies, so when they are born, if you like, maybe you could have one of them," Cris offered Jasmine knowing that she eventually wanted one of her own.
Then he quickly shook his head. "No no never say that. I don't think your family sounds boring at all. In fact, your family sounds very nice. I'm just lucky that we get along as well as we do. So which school does your brother attend?"
Cris loved how easy it was to talk with Jasmine. Yes he knew other girls too but they always seemed to make him feel awkward and clumsy. But not Jasmine. She was different. Cris liked the fact that she was willing to share some of her personal life with him. He was glad that he had decided to follow her here to the Food Trolley. This allowed him the opportunity to get to speak with her alone...well not exactly alone, but at least here, he could have a one-to-one conversation with her and he liked that alot.

As Cris told Jasmine about all of the places his family had lived, she shook her head. "Wow! That's a lot of moving around. That had to be hard on the family, but I guess you get used to it after a while. If you look on the bright side, they did get to see all kinds if new places and probably meet lots of interesting people." Jasmine thought she had moved a lot, but not as much as Cris' family apparently.
Cris liked to dance too? Jasmine laughed when she pictured him alone dancing and getting busted by his little brother. "Don't worry, your secret is safe with me." Maybe the two of them could dance together sometime, Jasmine thought. She decided to keep that thought to herself, for now. "I like all kinds of dance. I've studied everything from ballet to hip hop. That's about as far apart as you can get. I also like latin dances like salsa. My Mom says I was pretty much born dancing so just give me a little music and that's all I need.
Cris had Jasmine going for a minute about the dragon. How he could keep a straight face, she did not know. Then he started to laugh and she knew he had just been teasing her. "You know, I was almost ready to believe you", Jasmine said laughing. When Cris mentioned the possibility of her getting one of the pygmy puff babies, she smiled. How cool would that be? She had always wanted to have one. Well, they would have to see how things worked out about that.
"My brother attends the wizarding university back home. By home I mean in the United States not France. I really miss him the most because......well he's my big brother. We used to do so much together. Hopefully, I'll get to see him during the holidays." Being away from her family was always a little sad for Jasmine. Having them scattered across the globe was not fun.......but she hoped that she was on her way to making lots of good school friends to keep her mind off things.

Cool places, huh? That bit got Maddison's attention but her expression remained neutral. "You've got a brother too, then. Only one?" The small brunette wondered what it would have been like if she'd only had one brother. Or one sister. Or even been an only child. One thing was for sure, she'd probably have gotten more attention.
"Maddie Cooper," Maddison said with a faint smile. "I've read about it. Hogwarts: A History, y'know?" There was tons of information in there. "Mostly I know that it's really historic and there's loads of places to explore. Probably means it's easy enough to get lost too." Not that Maddie ever got lost. NOPE.
And the line inched forward a bit more. Nearly there, now. "So what'll you get if you can't have sugar?"
Kace smiled and hugged his friend back tightly. It was nice to see her again. The last time he saw Lux was in Diagon Alley. "Well i am glad you will live, if you didn't that would be a problem." he joked with her. Oh? So she was getting food. Chocolate Frogs? Good choice.
"Hmm... i do not know what i want. I was thinking along the lines of...Bertie Botts or Chocolate Frogs." he said massaging his tummy. "Or maybe a Pumpkin Pasties or a Cauldron Cake.." he second guessed himself. He really couldn't decide. And she hadn't seen Emmy. Hmm...he wondered where she could be. "Now that is weird. I wonder where they could be.." he asked Lux.

Oh, it was her turn already? Cool. She glanced at the girl behind her who she assumed was the one who'd tapped her shoulder and asked that since it didn't sound like the trolley lady. "Sugar quills," was her first reply. Those were always nice to eat. "A few of them. And...maybe a couple chocolate frogs and..." Hmmm, what else? Penelope couldn't decide since she liked most of the ones they had.
"What're you getting?" she asked the younger girl. Maybe she could narrow down her choices by whichever one, or ones, the other girl was planning on buying.
