Stepping into the arena, you are immediately enveloped with the light shining into the room, either morning or evening depending on what time you decide to enter, yet it's as chilly as a snow covered stone statue. An extra cloak or two would be helpful. If you can tear your gaze away from the intricately designed windows and high ceilings could, you can see to the very right of the room, there is the long platform in which supervised duels will take place while four benches on either side are placed at a safe distance for those who would like to sit and watch. Just ahead of the platform in the right corner, there is a door, though pay no attention to it. It's locked for a reason.
Towards the back wall, there are various types of practice dummies, both stationary and moving, depending on what difficulty the practicer wants. Don't be afraid to go all out with your spells, for these dummies are charmed to repair themselves. There is one practice dummy set aside that will shoot spells back to the practicer, however, permission from a Professor is required to use it. To the left side of the arena are two sets of stands, eight seats high, that look out to the entire arena, comfortable for those who would just like to watch what's going on all around or for general purposes such as studying or relaxing after a long day in the arena.
The middle of the room is quite empty, due to the fact that the defense Professor enjoys presenting lessons in here, but please, despite the brilliant light that shines through the arena due to the large windows, it is not some place to sunbathe or fall asleep. You will be levitated out with a good dose of cold water splashed on you if caught.

He couldn't stop rolling around and most definitely could not keep his mouth shut. Out of all the spells, Ben had to go with the one that made him look like an idiot. Man. Why did people even think that dueling was fun? Because it most certainly was not. Especially when you were losing, which at this point he was sure that he was. Man.
At least it couldn't get any worse than this, right?
.... Wrong.
Of course, Ben had gone for a shielding charm, which not only BLOCKED the rope spell, but also made it REBOUND back to the third year who was still currently clutching his stomach on the ground. And now he was rolling around, while still tied up. Yep. This was TOTALLY worse. Now he was tied up and still laughing. There was no way he could even move his arms around to lift his wand. So uh... Game over?
... Of course there was also the next bit. The bit where his wand was magically taken away from him with the use of the very first spell that had been thrown out in this whole debacle. So. Now was it game over? Because he really wanted to stop laughing so hard. "... I uh" STILL LAUGHING IN BETWEEN WORDS "Guess" THIS ISN'T EVEN FUNNY "You win, well--" CAN SOMEONE MAKE IT STOP PLEASE "it-it was fun," It actually wasn't that fun because he was still tied up and still laughing. And he didn't even have his wand anymore. "Now uh..." STOP THE LAUGHING DARN IT. "can you help me?"
There was a part of him that hadn't expected to come out of the duel on top. And there was a part of him that felt bad for the fact that essentially there really had been no way for Zander to avoid being taken out of commision...not when the robes had found their way back to their very castor. It was like a one-two----three punch heading his way and after Benny registered it, there wasn't much he could do but watch it happen. Anything else would waste the effort of the duel.
And Zander's discomfort would be for naught.
Oh yes...right...he should help his housemate. "Of course," he said, quickly heading over to Zander this time to use his magic for not against the other boy. "Finite..." Benny cast, hoping to counter both spells that currently held his fellow third year hostage. That done, he looked around for the fallen wand, retrieving it when he found it and holding it out for Zander to take.
"Good try," he assured his partner. "No hard feelings....right?" Benny had few people he could really work with, he didn't want to have lost one by his dueling.

All this rolling around was making him tired. He would stop EXCEPT FOR HE COULDN'T. It was so frustrating. Knowing that you looked like a fool, but not being able to control it. Not even the good kind of looking like a fool. The bad kind. The kind that actually made you feel like a fool! But then, he vaguely heard Benny amidst his fit of laughter. Was the other boy going to help him out! Please, yes. Please.
And before he knew it, all of it stopped at once. The tickling and the ropes dropped. He quietly, got up-- wincing while he did because his stomach hurt after all the laughter-- and then smiled at his friend. He was still blushy, but smiling nonetheless. "Uh, thanks," he took his wand and put it back in his holster. "No hard feelings," he confirmed with a nod. The boy hadn't meant to actually injure him or anything. It was just a fun little duel for practice. Even if it wasn't that fun. "You wanna grab some food?" he asked as he walked towards the door making it back out to the corridor. All that dueling sure made him hungry.
