If you've reached the seventh floor corridor, then you have almost reached the Ravenclaw Common Room... assuming you know where it is.
At the top of a spiral staircase is a door without a doorknob or keyhole but a bronze knocker in the shape of an eagle. In order to enter the Ravenclaw common room, a person must answer a riddle asked by the eagle knocker; if they answer incorrectly, they must wait for someone else who gets it right. This might lead overconfident non-Ravenclaws to believe that they could break into the common room at any time, but then they would have over-exerted themselves climbing all the way up there only to be made to feel stupid by a simple door knocker.
If you're waiting on a friend, you can have a seat on the staircase leading up to the knob-less door and feel grateful that you don't have to walk all this way every day just to go to bed.

There's probably one or two amphibian lovers out there. You just got get them out of their safe zone." He said with a small smile. And, yes, they were all definitely trying to stay warm. Tag knew he was. Besides, he didn't want to be out in the corridors where it was snowing... Indoors. No. He wasn't for that.
"Yeah, later. When we hopefully have contact with the outside world." said Tag agreeing. Though, he had a strong feeling that the first time for 'contact with the outside world' meant 'after this entire mess is figured out and we're on the Hogwarts express'. Typical Hogwarts. "He already has a ton of pets, so he must have lots of space at his place." laughed Tag. The Summers' place was practically a zoo with all those animals.
Thompson and Bentley. Very good choices in terms of who to go to for this type of animal care. Both could provide their own type of advice for Tag and his newly owned frog. "I'll try and see either, if not, both of them, before the end of term. So, rather quickly." He said with a nod. When it came to pets one could never be lazy about it and take forever to do a simple task. "I'll keep it in mind. Keeping the dorm warm. Not that I already don't." He'd even gone to putting up extra blankets on the windows so that some of the heat got trapped into the material.
Tag glanced at the box and then looked up to Lily. "Err.. do you know if they're all males or females?" He asked nervously. He didn't want to give the frog a wrong name, you know. It wasn't too important he could find the frog a gender neutral name. But, if Lily knew, it would be better than nothing. "Its no problem if you aren't sure either." He added with a slightly reassuring smile.
Honestly, aside from the knowledge that she likely couldn’t take care of all the frogs on her own, Lily wasn’t too concerned about people not coming out to take her offer of adopting one. The weather was making people act differently, and she knew that. It was making her hide a lot more than anything else, staying huddled close to the fire in the common room or under a pile of blankets in her dorm room. “I’m sure they are. Maybe we can find more if it ever gets warmer,” she replied with a smile. More accurately, she could find more potential frog adopters later. It wouldn’t hurt if they got a month or two older before she found someone to take them. She was still hoping tht the cold would be gone by the end of term, anyway.
“Exactly,” she added with a laugh. “I’d hate to think we’ll be cut off for too much longer.” No matter how much she knew she’d miss Hogwarts after the term was over and she’d graduated, she didn’t want to still be snowed in once June started. She certainly didn’t want to be stuck here over the summer. “Even if he didn’t, these frogs hardly take up any space at all so it shouldn’t be a problem.” It would still be up to Alec if he wanted to adopt any, though, and that meant they needed contact with the outside world. Desperately. She wanted to check on her aunt and cousins, and to talk to her friends outside of Hogwarts.
For now, she wanted to make sure that Tag wasn’t too worried about his new frog. The idea of conferring with the professors to get more information seemed to work, too. Tree frogs weren’t exactly magical, but she still thought that Professor Thompson might be able to help if the Gryffindor needed it. She knew she wasn’t an expert, anyway. “I think you’ll be okay. The warmth thing isn’t a problem,” she said with another laugh. “Not when I think everyone in the castle is becoming experts in heating charms and any other ways of keeping warm.”
Her green eyes had flickered down to his box as he’d glanced down, not startled at all by his question. Maybe they should have gotten into those details before he’d picked the one he wanted. “Honestly? I haven’t really looked at them all that closely but I don’t think they’re all one or the other. But females are a tiny bit larger than the male frogs, if that helps any.” But then, all of the frogs were still tiny, tinier than they’d be when full-grown like Marius and Cosette were, so maybe that didn’t help much. She didn’t know if the size thing applied to young frogs, but either way, she knew he’d come up with a good name.

Tag nodded at Lily's words at which he had to say "Hopefully it does get warmer." Though, at this moment, that was everyone's thoughts here at Hogwarts. He was sick of being stuck inside. The boy wanted some real fresh air, not just 'fresh air' from the corridor. "At least we're all doing little things to try and keep warm." He added agreeing to her point.
Being cut off from things was pretty bad to say the least. Tag had never been one to send owls or things like that out of Hogwarts. But, the castle couldn't even send messages to the world for some help or ideas that could get them out of this predicament. "No problem at all with these tiny little animals." Tag said smiling. At least not at Hogwarts. For him, and his new frog, his house might be something different.
Ironically enough, as Lily had said, the warmth wouldn't be too much of a trouble for the frogs. Each common room and dorm was probably heated up a good decent amount. "Definitely. The frogs are being heated by the cold air we're being forced to deal with. Lucky for them, not so lucky for us." Tag said, shaking his head momentarily.
So females were bigger and males were smaller in size. The blonde made sure to keep that in mind when he got back to his dorm. He wouldn't be checking out here because, even with the charmed matchbox, the corridor would still be cold frigid air for the frog. "I'll check the frogs out when I get back to my common room, cause its still quite cold here. But I'll make sure to keep your words in mind when checking it out. If I still can't figure it out, I'll probably do some quick researching. There's nothing worse than naming your pet wrongly." They could become very judgemental about that.
Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite
They had a lot of ground to cover with this spell, mostly the seventh floor because Alexa had no plans to be forced to climb all the way back up but even then, the 7th floor was wide and had a lot of places to be insulated. Why no one set them to this task earlier she wouldn't question but it seemed like common sense to do it back in January, not all the way down in May. Most of them could have DIED from the frost by now if they weren't such troopers.
"Your Common Room should be properly insulated already but while we're here," Her coming to get him and all, "might as well put the spell to use on the outside corridor." One less place to insulate when they got further down the corridor.
"Hope you haven't forgotten the spell in the space of a week." She said, raising a brow and giving him a look but just in case she drew the horizontal eight in his full sight. "Caelum Saepio." All along the walls. Did he see? There was the slight fog rising too. "Remember, if you see no fog, it didn't work."
This time she cast closer to the entrance, so the cold wouldn't seep in and all "Caelum Saepio." No doubt he'd been working too and after she felt she'd done enough casting she continued down the corridor. Come along Dima.

He could see WHY Alexa wanted to cast the spell here, 'cause it was bloody cold in the corridor outside his Common Room. Luckily, Dima had thought to wear three jumpers, four pairs of socks, three trousers, and ONE scarf. Which wasn't assisting him with the spell casting, by the way.
"Cayflum Safthyo!" At least his ability to draw the infinity-like shape in the air wasn't affected by how many layers he had on his body, but that incantation? It definitely needed some work. Try again, Toussaint. "Caelum Saepio!" Horizontal eight for YOU, wall.
The fog rose, and he beamed. "See? Remembered!" Look a thim, being all 'claw.

The last step!
In this place the cold was impossible then Lucy decided to throw here the new charm!
She grabbed her wand and she started to move her wand: "caelum sepio! "
She drew many eights with her wand and finally she felt the warmth around her!
Lucy was very satisfied:" Awesome! " she said!

She couldn’t quite tell if Tag was trying to make a joke or if he really was that worried over the situation at Hogwarts. Of course, Lily agreed with the hope, but in trying to be positive she hadn’t ever actually made a statement like that. “Someone will figure out what’s going on. I’m sure that people are already trying to figure it out,” she replied, trying to keep the positivity up. Even if they were cut off from the outside world, somebody had to be concerned. If just everyone’s families. They couldn’t really be cut off forever. “Yep,” she added. The students of Hogwarts were survivors.
She missed being able to write to her aunt, though. Actually, she just missed Gavroche in general, and she still hoped that somehow her little owl had decided to fly back to her aunt’s house instead of being who knew where. She knew he was a survivor too, but there was still that worry. The frogs weren’t her only pets here at Hogwarts, after all, although it seemed like they were now. Because of whatever had made it so frigid. She would have thought the animals would have thought to get help for them. Except her frogs, and all the other pets inside the castle who were just as trapped. “Nope.” The frogs were possibly even more comfortable than she was, even the one Tag had adopted. They’d be even better once things were back to normal and they were home.
She’d grinned a little at the next comment. She could think of several ways that they were all better off, on that topic. When they were all forced to hole up in their common rooms to stay warm, aside from going to classes, they found ways to stay warm. “Hey, at least we’re all getting a lot of practice with heating charms, right?,” she replied. If only that would be the subject of their NEWTs. The past few months would have guaranteed that they’d all pass with flying colors.
Tag had seemed to accept what little information she was able to come up with off the top of her head, too. It was all useful, and she was going to blame the cold for her brain not working if anyone questioned her. She’d never said she was an expert on frogs anyhow, but she knew enough. “That sounds like a good idea. Can’t guarantee the charms will hold if we take the frog back out while we’re outside,” she agreed. So to speak, seeing as it would be infinitely colder if they were literally outside. The corridor was outside enough. “You wouldn’t want to offend. Although I’m not sure frogs really are very opinionated when it comes to names.” Marius and Cosette hadn’t ever seemed to have any problems with their names. “Did you have any other questions?” Going back to the fire in her common room seemed even more important now. Layers could only keep her warm for so long.
