...She knew it was early. But she was homesick already. And... this felt like a good way to combat it. Quell some suspicions maybe. Tackle some of the worries that were going on in her brain at the moment.

Derry walked up to the Muggle Studies classroom and walked into the technology centre, taking an odd kind of comfort in being surrounded by muggle stuff. She loved being magic... but it was comforting that the muggle world was out there or something. Anyway... phone.

She sat down next to one of the corded phones, somewhere in the corner of the room, and pulled her knees up to her chest. Right... just one phonecall and it'd be a little better, yeah? Yeah... ..... Unless they were busy... What if he worried and tried to bring her home? ... Would she really protest much..? Probably not. Eh.

Stop panicking and dial... ... Derry punched in the numbers and held the phone to her ear, chewing on a loose thread in the sleeve of her jumper. ...

Ring... ring... ring... click

"Hi dad..."

... It even made her feel better just to hear his voice.

Sweet mother of Merlin, this place had a TECHNOLOGY room?! You know what this meant? Listening to music while not doing homework. Oh man oh man, he was VERY happy about this room being here. Wandering around really paid off. And this was a much better place to hang out in than the boring library. Grayson walked further into the room, his eyes still wide. This was brilliant. No really. He was genuinely happy about--

Oh jeez. Seriously? SERIOUSLY?!

Now that he had gotten over the initial surprise and happiness of finding this place, the boy was starting to notice the small details, like the items in the room. This stuff was OLD. Look at these brick phones! Probably not even touchscreen. Grayson picked one up and flipped it open before giving the screen a couple of taps. Not touchscreen. How OLD was this thing? A hundred years? More than that? Oh jeez. Was this what he was expected to use if he was planning on making a call to his Ma and Pa?

Letting out a disgruntled sound, the fourteen year old placed the brick phone down and moved onwards. Next item? The computer. One that looked like it belonged in the Middle Ages but certainly not here. Jeez, was everything in here older than his grandpa? Frowning, the Slytherin reached over and turned on what he assumed would be the on button for the computer.

And now we wait for it to turn on.

...................... Why wasn't it turning on? Did it even work? He was going to go with no. Or check by poking the on button a couple more times.

Skipping into the Technology Center, Lux had plans to use the old dinosaur phones to call her parents. Of course she could write a letter - which she did at times - but the phone was faster than owls.

Basically empty, the only other person in the room was Grayson who seemed to be having trouble with the computer. Smiling, she walked up behind him and watched as he kept pushing the button for the monitor. Oh gosh. He was so cute. He didn't even know how to turn the computer on.

Giggling, she said, "It works better if you push the button on the tower, not the button on the screen." Wink. She was just trying to be helpful is all.

Grayson didn't even notice that there was someone standing behind him. To him, it was just him and this ancient computer that looked like it belonged back in another century. Really, what was it DOING? Why wasn't it turning on? HELLO. How many times did he have to press the on button for it to WORK?!

............... Okay WHAT IN THE NAME OF MERLIN.

He jumped. He actually JUMPED because HELLO sudden voice behind him.

Once he had finally gotten over the initial shock, the fourth year looked towards the intruder. Oh. Lux. She was okay. Maybe she could stay, especially if she was being useful and offering help. He blinked several times at her before looking over towards the computer and the weird tower thing next to it. "What, you have to press TWO on buttons for it to work?" Weird. And why did it have a tower as well?

Also, who crept up on people like that? Talk about rude. Jeez.

He had actually jumped. For a second it amused Lux, but after a second, she started to feel a little bad for scaring him. "I didn't mean to startle you."

Something gave her the feeling that Grayson wasn't in the best of moods for some reason, but she decided to ignore it because it might have just been frustration.

"Well, the tower has the switch that turns the computer on and off, and the monitor has the button that turns the screen on and off." Hopefully her explanation made sense, because sometimes she wasn't the best at describing Muggle things. Clearly he had never been in this room before, which was not surprising when as far as she knew, he was a new transfer to the school.

She felt bad for startling him?

Good. She should.

................... Okay. It was Lux. And there was a hint of an apology there. Maybe he could be nice. So, taking a deep breath, the fourteen year old shook his head before saying, "Was just surprised, is all. Didn't see you there." Nice. This was very nice of him.

And she went on to explain why there was a tower and a screen. "Jeez, what a hassle. I'm glad we don't have these things anymore." Reaching over to the tower, he pressed the on button once and watched as the whole thing turned on. Everything. He then reached over to the screen and pressed the on button on that as well, where the screen flickered on. WELL. It looked like he had been proven to be stupid.

"How'd you know that? Do you have one of these?"

Why wasn't he saying anything? Had she made him mad without meaning to?

Starting to worry, it was a relief to Lux when Grayson said that she had just surprised him. That meant that he wasn't mad at her; she hated making people mad. "I'll make sure to wear a bell or something in the future so you can hear me approach," she joked in an attempt to lighten the mood.

Watching as he managed to turn the computer on this time, she wondered how much he knew about muggle technology. From his remark, she was led to believe that it was the newer stuff that he was more familiar with. "Well, I am half and half and interested in muggle things. So that helps. Plus I've come here a lot since last term; I've fiddled with these old devises so now I know how they work." Basically she could help him out more if he needed it.

LOL. A bell. LOOOOOOOL.

No, really, Grayson had actually snorted and then chuckled at the idea. "Do that. But fair warning, you're going to suck majorly at hide and seek if you wear a bell." It was true. Anyone would be able to tell that she was coming from a mile away.

And this reminded him all too much of the conversation he had had with the Sassy Loony.

Half and half, eh? The fourth year looked over at her curiously. Funny. Hardly anyone mentioned their blood type to him. "Lucky you. You must get along well with the Muggle Studies Professor." The pregnant one. If the two had met before. Which, if they hadn't, they should. And maybe Lux could tell him what she was like. Anyyyyyyywho. "Do you know why all the things in here are so old?" he asked, looking over at the stereos and then to the brick phones.

And look at the computer! Still turning on. Jeez.

He was laughing! Success!

Oh gosh, he had a point though. D: "You got me there. Maybe I could just yell at you that I'm coming then?" Wink. That would surely solve the problem with her not being able to play hide and seek. Let's forget that it might deafen Grayson, or give him a heart attack. ^_______^

Professor Hadley? Yeah, Lux could say that she got along with her. "Well, she is my Head of House, so yes! She is a nice lady. And she had a baby recently too!" Wasn't that awesome? Babies were sooooo cute. Everyone liked babies! And if they didn't, they SHOULD.

Hmmm, good question. One that she wasn't too sure of the answer for. "Maybe cost reasons or older technology works better. Maybe they like making things harder for people." Laughing, she looked at the computer screen and watched as it was still turning on. "Do you know a lot about new technology?"

He did have a point didn't he? Who wanted to be spotted while playing hide and seek? Not HIM.

The idea of yelling was one that made him tilted his head in thought. Huh. "Not bad not bad........" he said, nodding his head slowly, "You'll give me a fright, if it gives your woman ego a boost." It didn't give his ego a boost but that was a sacrifice he was willing to make. Maybe. ""

Head of HOUSE?! "I saw her over the summer but I didn't know she was a Head of House." Why did it matter? He didn't know. It just did. Grayson really didn't care much about babies but manners were manners. He could practically hear his mother's voice in his head telling him to be nice about this. "Congrats to her, I guess. What's she like as a teacher?"

It was a good thing Lux was here otherwise the fourth year would have gotten bored and seriously annoyed by this old contraption. He did chuckle bitterly at the idea of them making things harder for people. "Sounds a lot like something schools would do, don't'cha think?" Shaking his head, he continued, "I guess you're right. It just seems weird, you know? I expected up to date software." Something that had been released in the past ten years.

"Uh huh! I'm much better with my tablets. I guess I'm too used to touch screen technology," he said, throwing the mouse a filthy look.

Wait, Grayson was seriously agreeing to the idea of her yelling at him?

Amused, she shook her head then laughed. "I was just being silly. I wouldn't do that to you. I don't want you to go deaf. Believe me, enough of that happened last term." It had taken forever for her ears to stop ringing at times with all the shouting students had done in classes. Besides, making someone go deaf would be mean, and generally Lux preferred the kinder approach to life.

Oh, so he hadn't known about Hadley being her Head of House. Not too surprising since he was a Slytherin and wouldn't need to know this information. Of course she knew all of the Heads of House, but she had been at Hogwarts longer than him. "She's nice, I like her. I think all the Professors here are nice. You just need to make sure to not get on their bad sides." Professor Culloden could be rather angry, for instance. But as long as people tried their best to do the potions correctly, he was a nice man.

Up to date software was something that Lux could surely understand. "I totally agree with you there, the stuff here can be really slow. But I think it's okay because at least we have something." This technology center hadn't been here for the whole time that Hogwarts existed, so she felt lucky that she was able to enjoy one now even if it had old technology.

"I have to admit I am not really familiar with tablets." But at least she knew what they were?

She was just being silly?

Good. Maybe. Because he could imagine there being an accident if she came up randomly to him and started yelling. "How considerate of you," he said, before smirking a little. "I heard that there was a disease going around this school last year." If that was what she was talking about with the deafness. He wasn't going to mention who had said this to him, of course.

She was nice. WELL. Grayson probably could believe that considering what house she was the head of. "Nice is alright, I guess." Wait, WHAT?! ALL the Professors here were nice?! What in the name of Merlin? No. The boy couldn't believe that at all. "You're telling me that there's not a single Professor in the school who's got a mean bone in them?" There had to be. SURELY.

"Uh huh. 'Xactly," he agreed, nodding along as he did so, "It's a shame that none of this works anywhere else. Like the common room. What if you want to hold a party but can't put up any of the music on your music software?" It was bad, really.

"At all?!" What? "They're dead simple to use. Much better than these old things."

Awww, he thought she was considerate. How sweet. Lux gave a curtsy at that, because it made her happy to be nice to people and curtsying was FUN. "I aim to make people happy." Seemed like she was doing a pretty good job of it too if she said so herself. And oh, he had heard about the ageing thing last term? In a way she supposed that made sense since he would have friends around the school who could tell him about it. "Yes, it was awful. Most of the school was infected, but I was one of the lucky ones who turned out to be immune." Something she still didn't understand, but it wasn't like she was complaining.

Nice is alright? Just alright? Eyebrow raise. Didn't he LIKE nice people? SHE was a nice person. Surely he liked HER? "Well, all the Professors are nice to me. As long as you respect them and try your best to learn, I don't see why they have reason to be mean." It was the same way with almost anyone, she supposed. Some people were just way too nice, she couldn't see them ever being mean. And other people were just way too mean, she couldn't see them ever being nice.

Huh, he actually had a good point with the party thing. "I'm not sure. I guess they don't want you throwing parties with music in the Common Rooms. Whenever we have parties there, we do them without all that." Of course she had only been to ONE House Party, but he didn't need to know that, nor did it change how true her statement was.

"Well, how about you show me how to use one some time?" she added when he seemed surprised at her lack of exposure to tablets. Was she weird? Because the way that he seemed so surprised made it sound like everyone should be familiar with them. It was actually kind of funny.

She was curtseying.

She. Was. Curtseying.

Jeez, she really did belong in Hufflepuff, didn't she? Especially with what she went on to say. "But why?! I mean, that's nice that you do but don't you ever get angry? Feel the need to be mean?" Please explain this to him because Grayson did NOT understand. It made you vulnerable and more likely to be hurt. Plus, people were dumb. And she was talking about the ageing thing, wasn't she? "Heh. Lucky you," he said, smirking a little, "I'm glad none of that is going around now." Because adjusting to a new school was hard enough, thank you very much.

He did not understand the eyebrow raise sooooo he was going to say nothing about it. Nothing. Nada. "Again. Lucky." But then again, she was nice, as she had said before. "Smart. I always thought some would be mean for the sake of it. Say if they're having an off day and someone--" He broke off to look around him. Were there kids around? He didn't know. Maybe he'd go with the safer, non-swearing route then. "And someone makes them angry," he continued, as if nothing had happened, "They're likely to take it out on you."

What?

No. Seriously. WHAT?!

"No music at common room parties?!" He stared at her incredulously. She was pulling his leg. She had to be! HELLO?! "How can you have a party without music? I don't get it." Please explain this little thing to him too. "There's food at least, right? Because the house elves make some great food."

Show him how to use one? "Sure! I can do that," He even smiled at her. See? NICE. "And you can show me how to use this old thing right here." His blue eyes had shifted to the computer, which had FINALLY turned on. Old. This. Was. OLD.

"Oh Grayson..." Totally amused, Lux had to laugh at his reaction to her wanting to make people happy. "Of course I get angry, silly. Everyone gets angry, just some people more so than others." Understandably he might have difficulty grasping that she got mad at times, because she generally was happy and excited all the time. If he hung out with her enough, he might see her get annoyed. Hopefully not WITH him, but who was to say what would happen. "Lucky me and lucky everyone that the cure was found and given out at the End of Term Feast!" Talk about cutting it close.

"Professor Bellaire is definitely the toughest Professor. She is very strict and rigid with her teaching. She can be nice enough... But you have to make sure that you read up on her class rules and obey EVERY one of them." As someone who hadn't as much experience with school as some of the others at Hogwarts, Lux was not sure if a lot of Professors were like Bellaire, or if most of them were different. Mean for the sake of it? Well.... She supposed that COULD happen. "Maybe... Professor Culloden can get angry, but as long as you try hard and follow the instructions, he is a nice man." Not once had he ever been mean to her, in fact he always smiled when she said hello.

The music thing really seemed to upset him for some reason, so maybe it was a good idea to try to lessen the blow a little. "I've only been to one party here.... So there might be others with music!" Smile. "And of course there is food." As if a party could happen without food. Pfft! He was being silly again.

But at least he was willing to show her how to use a tablet. It seemed like a fair enough deal. "Okay, that sounds good to me!" She was totally willing to help him with this dinosaur computer.

She was laughing?! Was she laughing at him?! He didn't have one of those laughable faces so maybe that wasn't it. Besides, she was saying that she did get angry. "Good to know that you're normal in that sense." Because it was normal to get angry. Encouraged, even. Let it all out and whatever. "So you don't get angry often then?" Maybe he could use that to his advantage. Just maybe. "Close shave! Don't think anyone would have been pleased if they were sent home in that state."

Professor Bellaire. The Transfiguration lady? "Jeez, she looks like she shouldn't be messed with otherwise she'd send a good hex your way." he said, shaking his head, "Glad she's the only one with those rules." Which he had read up on. Uh huh. Professor Culloden? "The Potions professor?" He tilted his head and tried to cast his mind back to their previous potions lesson. "Uh huh. Yeah. And if you don't mess up your potion and blow up the lab, I bet."

Lux was doing a good job and lessening the blow. A very good job. Grayson let out a sigh of relief at her words before saying, "Good. Any other party without the two essentials seems very boring." Good food and good music. The two essentials. "What party did you go to?"

"Looks like we have a deal." Smirk. "Now tell me: how do you do anything on this thing?" Because this fourth year was completely at sea.

Normal in that sense? SNORT. "Are you saying I am weird otherwise?" Eyebrow raise. Of course she didn't think that was what he meant, but she wanted to have some fun with him. "You got that right. People were starting to break bones at the end of the term." Scary stuff, and she had been so worried about her friends.

He certainly had the best opinion of Belaire. Haha! Though seriously, she had to be Lux's least favourite Professor. It wasn't that the woman stirred up dislike in the little Puff, it was more a feeling of nervousness. Lux would always worry about being yelled at when in Transfiguaration lessons. "I wouldn't put it past her to try something like that." Shudder. "Yep, Professor Culloden. He can be a very nice man." Unless you were Kevin. Then not so much.

Nod. He totally had a point there. The most important part of a party besides having fun was food. In her opinion at least. Music could also be a big factor, she supposed. Though it held less meaning to her than food did. "Oh, it was for Badgers winning the Quidditch Cup!" It had been awesome.

"Okay, what exactly do you WANT to do on the computer?" Check Twitter? Play games? Listen to music?

Oh jeez. He should have realised that she might have gotten a bit touchy about that. You had to be careful with your words, especially around GIRLS. "You saying you'd rather be normal and boring?" he asked, raising his eyebrows back at her, "It's not a bad thing. It's more in the way that you're unique. It's good." This was him complimenting her; take it or leave it. Wait, WHAT?! "Are you SERIOUS?!" JEEZ, he had really missed an interesting year, hadn't he? "Who? Anyone get seriously injured?"

Luckily, Lux agreed with his opinion on Bellaire and wasn't one of her biggest fans or anything. "Me neither. Certainly don't want to get on her bad side. No thank you." The humiliation of being hexed by a Professor wasn't something he'd be able to stand. Nuh uh. "He seemed to get really angry and grumpy during our first lesson." This comment was met with a small smirk, though, because while it had been a little new, it had certainly been interesting.

Of course he had a point. He was quite knowledgeable about this stuff. And the badgers won the Quidditch Cup? Grayson raised his eyebrows again, this time out of being impressed. "Merlin! Congrats to the badgers, then. A good reason for a party, I'd say." And the Quidditch Cup! Man alive!

What did he want to do? Er. MAYBE he should have thought of that before. "Check twitter, I guess. Anything, really."

Normal and boring? Eww, Lux didn't do boring! She was too much of an extrovert to be a boring person. "You can be normal without being boring, but I definitely like being who I am. Which is apparently unique." Nothing wrong with being unique; it meant that people remembered who she was. And apparently Grayson was unique too, because who else would sound interested in people getting hurt. "Well, I know Adi got hurt. I'm not sure if you know him or not." He was a fellow Third Year Badger who she was friendly with though they weren't close. She liked Adi, he was a nice guy. "I think some people were more seriously injured, but I didn't witness any of this first hand." Sorry to disappoint and all that.

Nods. "I think she needs a good Cheering Charm blasted her way." Poor Professor Bellaire. Some people were not very happy, and Lux wished that wasn't the case. Everyone should be happy because the world was a wonderful place and everyone had only one life to live. Might as well make it a happy one! "He hates Kevin especially I think. Okay, maybe hate is a trong word..." Dislikes? Whatever it was, there was no doubt that Kevin was far from his favourite student. "He is never grumpy with me. People seldom are for some reason." Everyone was so nice.

Yep! Go Badgers! "I know! I was so happy. And Professor Hadley announced her baby then which made it even better." Babies were wonderful and so very cute. Of course she was a long way from wanting any of her own since she was only 13, but she still loved them. Did Grayson like babies? Because if not, he really SHOULD.

Check Twitter? That wasn't too hard! Waiting, she saw the computer desktop appear. Awesome, they were ready to go. "Okay, that's pretty simple. First thing you need to do is click on the icon for the internet with the mouse." Pointing to said icon, she waited for Grayson to do so. He knew what a mouse was and how to use it, right? Because if not there was no hope for him with this thing.

You can be normal without being boring? Grayson wasn't sure if he agreed with that or not buuuuuuuut he wasn't about to tell Lux that. Nope. "Looks like I'll have to look out for these normal and not boring people, then." Because he hadn't met anyone who was like that. Either they were interesting and fun to be around or freaking weird. "Unique's definitely not bad. Means you're your own person." Good for you, Lux. And who was Adi? "Er, nope. Never heard of him before," Had he not come back because of this injury or whatever he had had? HMMMM? "You think he's alright?" Out of curiosity and all. And speaking of curiosity, since Lux didn't witness the other injuries, Grayson was just going to shrug it off. "Still. I'm glad it's not around anymore."

SNORT. "Sounds about right. Or give her some Elixir to Induce Euphoria," Uh huh. Either one could work. "Jeez, can you imagine if someone did that? I think it'd be hard not to laugh at the results." Because it was BELLAIRE. He'd have to leg it afterwards, just in case she thought that he was the culprit but MAN, would that be interesting. Kevin? "The Gryffindor kid who caused drama that one time?" LOOOOOOL. Culloden hated him? OH MAN. "I'm not surprised. You're nice. It's hard to be grumpy with someone who's nice." Apart from the overly nice ones who insist on hugging you and giving you friendship bracelets after knowing them for five minutes. Jeez, what was up with THOSE people?

"Did you play Quidditch?" Competition, you know. He had to know about this. And wasn't it great how different stories and encounters could fit together so well? "Congrats to her, then! I saw her in a Cafe in Diagon Alley over the summer, actually. Was very heavily pregnant by then." He still didn't know how he felt about babies. That included having feelings for someone and he didn't know how he felt about that.

Click on the icon for the internet? Whiiiiiich............ oh THAT one. Where the girl was pointing over at. He moved his mouse over, which proved to be a bit difficult since the boy was all too used to touch screens and caused the boy to mumble something along the lines of, "Stupid thing." He did eventually click on the icon, though. Uh huh. EVENTUALLY.

Nod. Lux was totally in agreement that Grayson needed to look out for these people. "When you find these people let me know." Because this was the kind of thing she was interested in hearing about. Awww, he was being sweet for saying she wasn't unique in a bad way. Some people thought that being your own person was bad because they were BORING. Boring people could be nice, but the ones that said uniqueness was bad were mean. The fact that Grayson didn't know who Adi was surprised her a little since her fellow Hufflepuff was always rather active in classes. "He's in the same House as me and he's nice. I didn't know that he had been hurt until afterwards, but I was glad when I heard that he was healed." Lux didn't talk to Adi all that much, but she still liked him. "I'm glad it isn't around anymore either. My boyfriend had it too, and I was worried that he would DIE at some point." That had made her so very sad and scared.

Oh gosh. Slipping a potion to the Transfiguration Professor. SNORT. "I could totally brew some and slip it into her pumpkin juice one morning." Totally joking of course. Even though she was capable at Potions, it would be mean to trick a Professor like that. How often did people slip potions to others? It was something that Lux had never thought about before, but it had to happen quite a lot; Professor Culloden had mentioned it before. The Charms assignment from last term was rather sneaky as well even though no potions had been involved. Part of her had felt mean for tricking Tessa even though the older girl had not minded in the least.

She missed Tessa so much.

"Yep, that's Kevin. I don't know him really, but he put bugs in Angel's hair once and I had to take them out." Of course Kevin hadn't been pleased about it, but there was no way that she would let one of her friends freak out without trying her best to help them. It was what any good person would do. Awwww, he thought she was nice? That was so sweet! "Thank you, I think you are nice too." He was always kind to her! Everyone was so sweet. "Well, I like to hug people and give them Chocolate Frogs when they are upset. Do you like Chocolate Frogs?" Most people did. Charlie didn't though, but that was okay because Lux still loved her friend despite that.

Did she play Quidditch? Goodness no! Of course Grayson didn't know about her intense fear, so the question was totally reasonable. "I am TERRIFIED of heights. My friend Tessa tried to help me with flying last term, and I managed to get a few feet off of the ground. But she ended up getting the ageing thing, so the practices were stopped which means that I basically backtracked." It was okay though, because the health of her friend was more important to her than getting over her fear. "Bay offered to teach me at the end of last term, but we never got to it. So maybe one day he will." It was okay if that waited for a bit or even for a while. There was absolutely no rush. "I didn't see her over the summer, but I really like Professor Hadley. She is a very nice woman. And a great Head of House." Just because Lux considered Professor Bentley to be her Honorary Head of House didn't mean that her real one wasn't great too!

Watching Grayson click on the internet icon (after having some difficulty), she waited for the screen to load. Of course that didn't happen immediately, but she expected that to happen. The comment he made caused her to snort in amusement. Yep, these computers could really be a pain sometimes. But they were better than nothing, so she was thankful for them. Once the page was loaded, she said, "now you can type 'Twitter' into the website address box thing and it will generate the google search page for it." As she spoke, she pointed to said box because she wasn't really sure how to describe it properly and didn't know if he was familiar with using the internet. Tablets had a lot of apps, so maybe he was familiar with using those instead.

This was one Slytherin who was sick and tired of being cooped up inside the castle. SICK AND TIRED. But the good news was that it was February, so it had to start getting warmer soon, right? Hopefully? Please? Though Layla thought she'd finally found a way to combat her cabin fever. Go to the Muggle Technology Center, log onto the Internet and look at pictures of warm places.

But she had forgotten how out of date the computers were. She had to find a phone cord, stick it into the modems in both the computer and the wall and start it up. Luckily, there was an instruction manual. Unfortunately one thing the manual forgot to mention was the horrible noise the computer made while connecting to the Internet.

*insert annoying dial up noises here*

"What the......."

Vesper and Derry...had been putting their minds together for a few weeks now to decide and...plan...things. And now that they were getting closer and closer to the end of term (AND THINGS!!!), it was painfully clear that outside help would be required. Unfortunately for everyone, the snowstorm STILL had them confined indoors. No outgoing or incoming owls...No means of communication...

Cabin fever had quickly set in. Yes.

FORTUNATELY for their purposes, Professor Hadley had that Technology Center...and with the hopes of muggle internet (something Ves weeped for everyday because music and youtube), the Ravenclaw and her Slytherin bud had promised to meet there. To finalize things. That is.....if the internet would work with the stoopid weather.

Deciding to wait just outside the doors for Derry, Ves perched back against a wall. Guuuuh, it was COLD.

Derry had taken to wearing her riding gear around the school. It seemed to be the most versatile outfit, anyway. It kept her warm, but she never quite reached than uncomfortable warmth stage that happened when you were running around in a coat and scarf. She was still not wearing gloves though... for reasons of her own. Plus, she'd be able to type faster without them on... even though she typed like a maniac anyway.

Keeping her hands stuffed inside her pockets, Derry climbed up to the first floor from the dungeons and beamed when she saw Ves leaning against the wall. She was going to wave... but it was too cold. So she shouted instead. "Hey Ves!" It didn't take her long to reach the door... "I've got the letters." She wriggled her hand in her pocket, still not taking them out. They were staying in the warmth until they were needed thankyouverymuch.

Could they go inside now? Moving was nice. Movement produced warmth. Through energy transference and friction and stuff. ... Derry didn't like Physics. Biology was more her thing. Anyway, not the point. She reluctantly removed a hand from her pocket and opened the door, stepping in and holding it open for her friend.
