Because Theo could definitely do with a break in a different subject.
Theo smiled wide as she rested her head on her pile of books. "What an effective way of napping." He gave her a mini round of applause, and then rested his own head against his palms with his elbows on his Herbology book. Didn't have enough books to do what she was doing.
"Excited for graduation, then?" It was literally right round the corner. Scary. She was really glad to have dropped it, obviously. Which was not something someone should be proud of really she considered this an accomplishment. No to say it other than that when she actually failed big time at the subject. " Transfiguration," She said sliding her eyes to the books on the top. She was attempting to study that and was likely to attempt here when she finished talking and all. If that ever happened.
Cassia beamed at Theo fluttering her eyelashes in a silly way. He liked her napping technique! She quite enjoyed it herself. " You should try it sometime," He could borrow her way no problem. But surely not everyone could.
" I actually am," She answered which came out in a breathy excited, almost squeaky voice. She was sort of worried at first and finding the idea terrifying but it sounded more appealing and she was starting to think of all the things she could do. " I want to take the year off traveling around to figure out what I want to do," Her parents were supportive of the idea which was great. " What about you?" Maybe he had inspiring plans.

Study tables. Beverly likes studying, she likes warmth. Evidently she was going to come here on her 'conquer all of her favorite places with a new charm' quest. Especially one that would help against the cold weather. That was the goal anyway.
Just like in the common room, the girl had a favorite spot -- and if it wasn't obvious, Beverly was only charming her favorite spots. Ones she was sure she would occupy again.
"Caelum Saepio!" she chanted, tracing a figure eight with her wand over the table surface. A small amount of fog rose from the wood. Good sign, yes? Yes. Now for the seat. Her bum HAD to be warm. Cold bum would not due while studying. "Caelum Saepio!" After she flicked her wand appropriately, she was pleased to see another wisp of fog.
Practice makes perfect, yeah? Because there was more fog than before. Keep it up, Wayne!

"I want to take the year off traveling around to figure out what I want to do," Her parents were supportive of the idea which was great. "What about you?" Maybe he had inspiring plans. " Ah, don't mind that one so much." It was most certainly the class that he would miss the most because of reasons. Theo chuckled at the thought of his great love, Professor Bellaire, then got hold of Cassia's textbook and flicked through it absently. " I'll try it sooner than you think." He gave his friend a gentle poke and plopped her book back down. " You've officially distracted me from work, thanks a lot, Catty." Because he was working SO hard and stuff.
Theo's eyes opened a little wider when she told him her plans. Taking a year off definitely sounded very tempting to him, if only his parents could afford it. Hey ho, if he managed to become a famous Quidditch player then he could do it, 'cause his parents wouldn't offer up their cash for Theodore's travel purposes anyway. Tight butts. " Wow, that's exciting! Where're you headed?" Was she going on her own? Sounded like one hell of a decision! " Eh..." Theo shrugged, " I'm gonna try out for a few teams, I reckon. See what happens. But if that doesn't work out then I'll be stuck in a rut, I guess." Couch potato. Living off mum and dad. He smiled somewhat jokingly, but really he was TERRIFIED of that happening.

She was not surprised by his answer, she knew it's been one of Theo's favorite subjects. And she liked it herself. Because it was one of the few subjects that you could use in everyday life as opposed to others. " Yeah, it's fun," she attempted to nod but it was sort of hard while her head lay on the pile of books still.
" You're welcome, Buttress," She grinned at him assuming she just did him a favor. She would be so glad if someone had distracted her study and gave her a reason to close the book for a bit of time.
She was excited about her plans but was also worried about how helpful would they be. What if she could not find what she wanted to do? What if the traveling life sucked her in and she did not achieve what she wanted to. It was a risk. " I am not sure yet," She tapped a finger at the table considering, " It's going to be all around Europe, though," Not leaving the continent that was for sure.
Now, she liked his plans better because he loved Quidditch and knew he was very good at it. So he had a starting point. " That's nice, it'd be cool to see you back on a broom," She smiled remembering all the matches she'd attended and cheered in. Fun times! " Don't you miss it?" Probably a stupid question, though.

" 'Least we got more time for studying now, I guess." What with NEWTs being postponed and stuff. Theo still kinda wanted to get them out of the way but whatever.
Theo smiled finally. " Good for you. That's one of those once in a lifetime things, right?" Also probably something that more people should do these days. " You got absolutely no idea what to do career-wise, then?" It was difficult to pick something right now anyway. What if you changed your mind in a few years time? Theo didn't like the idea of being tied down to one thing for the rest of his life anyway, which made the idea of Quidditch perfect. What would he do when he was too old for that, though?
" Haven't been on one for like, a whole year now." Basically meaning he was in no shape to start trying out for these massive teams but he just carried on telling himself it was his best option. It's not like university was on the cards. " Yeah, sure I miss it. It's the only thing I'm good at in this place." His legacy as Head Boy certainly wouldn't be for being such a bright, little wizard now, would it?

His legacy as Head Boy certainly wouldn't be for being such a bright, little wizard now, would it? " True. Though this lock down is becoming unbearable," Man, did she miss sitting outside by the lake and gazing up at the bright sky. She wasn't one used to staying indoors. Winter never stopped her from going outside. But that was regular winter not the one they were going through whatever it was.
Now Theo realized the situation she was in. She had no idea. Well, actually she had a lot of ideas that's been with her since she was a kid but she wasn't slightly sure about most of them. " I don't," she let out a nervous sigh. Maybe she could just go to university but even then she didn't know what she would major in. " We should just start a business together," she grinned trying to dismiss the dark thoughts and vibes that showed up whenever the topic was future plans.
Her lips parted in surprise. She somehow thought that the team would have been playing here and there. But then again, brooms were totally off limits so how could they. It was quite hard to sneak in a broom and fly around without anyone notice. " Wow, that's a long time," She could see how he missed it in his eyes. " Come now, that is not true," She nudged him with her elbow, " We're like the best spies ever," she had to chuckle at that since she could not remember the last time they were actually on a mission. Not to mention that barely anyone knew about them as spies. But that never seemed to matter to the two snakes.

" Just wanna go home now." And sit in front of the fire with a cup of tea and his folks. " Do you reckon we'll actually get out for summer?" If they couldn't even get out on the grounds, then how could they possibly completely leave the premises?
Theo smiled, trying to be as comforting about the situation as he could. It was a scary place to be, he knew that! " You could do anything you wanted. Brains like yours." Wink, wink. Not that Theo really knew how well Cassia was doing at school, but he just assumed she was awesome at it, because she was a generally awesome altogether. " Ha, undercover spies for hire?" That would be a pretty darn amazing career actually. Super spy, orrrr a detective or something. Too bad it all came with qualifications needed.
" Yeah," He sighed but tried not to dwell on the negative, " It was kind of a nice break at first. Didn't really expect to be without it for this long, though." And now with the weather. Who knows when Theo would be ready to jump back on a broom. He perked up a bit at her nudge and chose not to argue with her because he knew the truth deep down. " Very true. We should fit in one more case before we graduate, don't you think?" Sheesh, his imagination was not on par with what it used to be, it seemed. Sad.

She knew she was going to miss the school a lot and she sort of liked her life here. And liked having a regular life and system it was so comforting that having to figure out something entirely new. But she has come to realize that it was going to an end so might as well get excited about what's ahead of her. Though, by the looks of it, they could be stuck here for a while. " I really hope we do," She said. Although it would be a kind of long farewell but what about the other years who were going to be back for next term. They surely wouldn't appreciate spending the summer in between the years here.
The snake couldn't help but chuckle. Yeah, right, her brains. If he'd said her looks she'd have believed more. But she was flattered anyway and flashed a big smile for him that she appreciated the encouraging words." Exactly!" She beamed. They'd look pretty darn cool with costumes and all. " That would be one heck of a career," Dangerous, too. But who cares it'd be fun and she'd get to be spending time with a close friend so yay. If only things were that simple.
" It was so out of the blue," She said referring to the Quidditch banning thingy. Who would have guessed that a year would pass without a single match. No one could have guessed and if anyone did, no one would have believed it. " Totally should." She agreed with him. If only they didn't have studying to do and if only a chance presented itself like real fast.
