Ravenclaw House Table banner by Govoni The Eagles sit under a beautiful navy and bronze banner representing their house. Their solid, shiny wooden table is nicely polished with all the place settings perfectly set. The food will arrive after the Headmistress' traditional feast speech. To all Ravenclaws, both new and old: enjoy the feast! |
Well here Nigel was robed up and with badge on. Also a Seventh Year. Which made it a little more special then the previous two times. All that was left to do was walk on over to the Ravenclaw table with his great hair and enjoy some food. He was still hungry even after the free candy and cookies he got on the train. The food was really good. Though it was free. So Nigel could not complain about it. Looks like he is the first one at the Table again. Shrug. They will all get here eventually. No point in worrying. Nigel sat down and started tapping his fingers on the table. Getting a beat apparently. Though this might be the perfect time to take a nap. Since the one he wanted to take on the train got interrupted. |
Excellent. He was back at Hogwarts. Jory was beyond pleased. But he was a guy on a mission. Yep. He wasn't even grinning as usual. This time around, the YATI was all serious looking as he surveyed the still practically empty Great Hall. A few students were scattered at their House Table and the Headmistress was already seated at the Staff table. Jory had the urge to head towards the Hufflepuff table but instead calmly walked in the direction of Ravenclaw's. He nodded to the sole student (Nigel) and took up a standing position slightly away from the head of the table, still with that serious look on his face. |
Mo slid into the seat beside Nigel without a word, his chin dropping onto the fists sitting clenched on the tabletop. He hadn't ever come back to the Prefect Compartment, but maybe they'd all had such a jolly time they hadn't noticed? No... no, Mo was sure that his Ravenbro would have noticed. Maybe they could talk about the bad news, since the table was still deserted of everyone else. "Who's that chap? He doesn't even go here," Mo motioned to the stone-faced fellow standing at the head of the table. "I think he's a robot. What do you think?" |
Yes the first thing Nigel did notice was that slightly familiar guy walking by and nod at him. Nigel nodded back of course. He had manners. He had no idea if they guy was important or not. Well looks like he is only standing at the head of the table. Like a body guard or something. Cool if true. Nigel would probably have thought about it more. But Mo was the next to sit down. When Nigel was not doing stupid things or talking. He was very observant. So of course he realized Mo did not come back to the Prefect compartment and probably did not want to talk about whatever it was right now. His questions were excellent though. "He does look a little familiar. A robot would be cool. Maybe a bodyguard robot" Now that would be awesome. |
"Who would he be guarding..." Mo began, but he fell silent as the implication sunk in. Oh, of course. Bodyguards. Nigel got a canny look for that wise suggestion, since Mo wasn't sure how the other Ravenclaw had managed to suss out something to secret so quickly. It wouldn't be secret for long. Mo dropped his voice to just above a whisper. "Listen, mate... Truebridge told us on the train. Someone's threatened Quidditch, and they cancelled the season. Want us to give up our badges." It rankled all over again, but Mo hoped he could keep his temper now that he wasn't talking to the unfeeling demonwoman-in-pink. "I'm sure she'll announce it tonight, but... there it is." And it was awful. |
Justine was starving. No, seriously, she was starving, and if she didn't start eating immediately she was going to parish in a spectacular and untimely fashion. It wouldn't be pretty ether, not that Justine cared about that sort of thing, but still. Unfortunately for Justine, the food would not be appearing until after the Headmistresses speech, so until then, she would just have to sit there and ignore the gnawing hunger in her belly. So, another year at Hogwarts... She still didn't know how to feel about that, on one hand she had made a few very good friends here, but the whole aging prematurely thing last year had kind of taken all the fun out of her schooling experience. Not to mention she still felt a little like a fish out of water. Justine's father had said finding her niche in the school would take time, but she hadn't thought it was take this long, or that until she did she would feel so... Lonely. It only Andrew were around, or Louis, then she'd feel right as rain. |
How would Nigel know what robots think or what they are programmed to do. That was a question for their creators. Or advanced A.I. But that was more science fiction than anything. What, did Nigel have something in his teeth. He was sure there were no crumbs for the food he had eaten. Nope, not that. Something definitely serious. Nigel inched in to hear what was to be said. WHAT. Shock, was a good word for the emotion Nigel had right now. Nigel whispered back. "Merlin, They really cancelled it,must be really serious." Nigel could not think of anything that could be serious enough to cancel a whole quidditch season. Even dementors were not enough that one year. "They could have at least let you keep the badge.....You alright?" Definitely Shocking. |

"I dunno if I can give the badge back. I might just lose it until June. I mean, even if we're not flying every day, I'm still... don't you think I'm still...?" He couldn't even bring himself to say the word 'captain', so Mo let it drop. In his heart, he was going to be captaining his house regardless of whether they took to the pitch or not. "I'm not alright, but I'll live." |

"Well Captain Sassy. We might just need to find some other fun ways to use a flying broomstick this term" Or you know, start an underground Quidditch League in the Room of requirement. But that was crazy talk. They were claws. They would think of something. |
There were moments when it hit Dora that she was a seventh year, that she practically ruled the school based on seniority alone and the badge was just slightly bitter icing on the cake that made this year slightly better. But right now was not one of those moments. It was more like the more frequent moments she had of wishing she was somewhere else and already graduated. But being right here wasn't so bad she supposed. .... No, it was. She couldn't even lie to herself. But there was Mo and Nigel, both who were welcomed company the majority of the time. She deposited herself into the empty seat beside Mo without a single word and let her hazel-greens take in her surroundings distractedly. |
For Dee :3 Let air breathe in... Let air breathe out... Paloma's every step from the entrance hall to the great hall where the opening feast was held seemed eternal. And even more eternal it became after she left Luna and Vader, the pets sleeping in their corresponding cages for later pick-up. She felt that she needed them now, or a bit of moral support to actually...not run away to the tower and wibble. But why was she this way? Her little mind wondered as she took a seat in the Ravenclaw Table, somehow now surrounded by hundreds of students from different houses, and also her own now. Biting her lip, she look ahead to the Staff Table, just to peek and guess who were the profesors and what lessons they imparted. Was she regretting transferring now? NO way. She shook her head in disbelief and looked around. Who'd she talk to now? |

With the hint of a smile slightly curving his lips, the Gryffindor made his way to the table of the clever-minded and plopped down unceremoniously in the empty seat across from Paloma. He grabbed an apple from a nearby basket and took a bite before flashing his friend an endeared smile. “So,” he started casually, extending his arms around him, “This is Hogwarts.” |
Penelope looked around the Ravenclaw table. Her friends she had met on the train had been sorted into other houses, and most of the students at the table were older students who had their own friends to talk to. She would have to meet some of the first years who were sorted into Ravenclaw. There wasn't any food on the table yet, and Penelope hoped that it would not be very long before they could eat. |
Had the great oak doors been closed, they would’ve certainly burst wide open at the entrance of this rather sullen brunette. With a stead click clack of her prim and proper school shoes Huxley stalked her way to the Eagles table. She was still pretty disgruntled about the field trip, having felt like it was far more trouble than its worth-- weeks of suffocating humidity, relentless bugs and creepy crawlies, barely making it out alive from a harrowing mudslide only to be chased down by trolls and zombies. And her hair! Oi don’t get her started with her hair. Of course there were good things that came from that trip—a bag full of them to be precise. But she’s not going to say anything about that. She’d rather build up the drama of that experience and how she had to spend just as long a time at a spa resort recovering from her ordeal, which explains why she didn’t look like she had a rough day in her life no matter what she says. As she passed the Claw student leaders she quipped them a quick ”Hello badged trio.” (she simply thought Mo had his buried in the folds of his clothes) then plopped herself down on her usual seat, casting a small purse at a chair where Mika usually sat, or at least where she thinks Mika should sit. Should she reserve room for the hairdresser boyfriend? Fine, another purse over yonder nearer to Mo. She figured the boys can talk shop or whatever it is they do. A quick glance ahead and she spots some dude near their table, and from his gait it looked like he was some kind of law enforcer. There was an unconscious tiiiiiiny flinching from the brunette as she stared the man down. Well it didnt look like he was looking for something stolen was he? Casing out potential suspects? Well Huxley is innocent, and thats the story she's sticking with. Her dark gaze shifted to the Staff table and she spotted the hulking Groundskeeper and the Headmistress. The head ginger got a squuuuiiint out of this brunette. Was the all-important Urgent Business just a ruse to escape the El Dorado Undead? Had she known in advance that the sight of the glorious city comes at a hefty price of Wizardy flesh? Because to this |
Benjy sauntered into the Great Hall, hands deep in his robe pockets and an almost, but not quite, soppy grin on his face. He headed straight for his fellow seventh years at the Ravenclaw table, only to find them...well, not as happy as he was. He glanced between them and the guy apparently guarding and random guy at the end of the table. "Okay," he said uneasily, "what memo did I miss?" |
Ravenclaw pride!! <3 Josette walked into the Great Hall with her hands clasped together in front of her tiny body. Her blue eyes took a scan around the familiar hall that she'd grown to love in the school that had become her home when she first came here last year. It was something that brought back many memories she'd had, but she wasn't going to get into that. Actually, it was too bad that Sebastian couldn't be with her right now to experience the glory of the Great Hall, sadly he had to be left back in his cage. Maybe she could show him around later perhaps? OH, look familiar faces, particularly old teammates. Including, Quidditch Captain MO, Nigel & Benjy! Maybe she could sit by them? If it was alright with them that is, mainly because they looked like the only faces she was familiar with for the time being. Taking that chance she made her way towards the Eagles table & gave the three familiar faces a soft wave. "Hi, Captain Mo-I mean-Mo..Hi-Hi Nigel..and Benjy.." She paused. "W-Would it alright if I sit by you all?" If not, she could certainly go find another place, it was really no problem! Actually, that empty space further down look unoccupied..Hmm... |
Abby made her way over to the Ravenclaw table and sat down she hadn't met any of her fellow housemates and she was hoping that she was not going to be lonely without her sisters as she spied Angel sitting at the Gryffindor table and saw that Aubrey was still waiting to be sorted |
After the embarrassment that was the Sorting Ceremony, Jasmine made her way to the Ravenclaw table. She'd felt as if she stuck out like a sore thumb, being one of the few older students being sorted. A giant among lots of teeny people she was. Seeing that the table was already filling up fast, Jasmine looked for the nearest empty seat and deposited herself there. She allowed her eyes to wander around the room trying to spot her friends from the train. Finally, she looked around the Ravenclaw table. She guessed that she'd better start meeting some people there since they would be her housemates for the next two years. |
Mo and Nigel Jory continued scanning the Great Hall. He spotted Kennedy at the Gryffindor table and he wondered where the others were. They'd probably be arriving soon. His attention turned to the Staff table once more. So many familiar faces. Did any of his old Professors recognise him? He would go say hi to them later. The YATI glanced sideways at the Ravenclaw table as another boy joined the Prefect. He spoke in a low tone but it was enough for Jory to hear. Robot? O_o He found that very amusing. His lips twitched upwards, threatening to form a smile. Apparently, the Prefect remembered him a little. To Jory, both boys did look familiar, too. "Robocop or something along that line sounds better,'' he couldn't help but say. He continued to listen in on their conversation. Smart kids. They seemed to have figured out what was going on. |
*claims you :3* and for anyone else Quote:
A good thing about this year was no exams at the end. And that meant no tedious study sessions in the library. Though he'll be there for other reasons, of course. Probably dragging the midget along if she wanted to see pictures of stars. Jun entered the Great Hall, still eating a few of the Fizzing Whizbees Lex had given him earlier. Hopefully they'll last him until the Headmistress gave her speech and food appeared. It was the best part about the first day back. A big feast and you can completely tune out the lady's speech. Unless she said something useful which rarely happened. At least not useful to Jun. But his house was getting a new Head of House this term. Shame Elwood left. Jun flopped down at his house table and looked around. He saw Bolton talking to a girl and that was it. Not much familiar faces besides the ones he didn't talk to. Oops. Might as well make friends or be nice at least. Like to the girl sitting next to him. She looked small enough to be new and he hadn't seen her last term. "You're new here, aren't you?" Way to start a conversation, Kim. |

Penelope SPOILER!!: Penelope Jasmine noticed a younger girl who seemed to be sitting all alone and looking a bit lost. Assuming that she was a first year who didn't know anyone, she went over to talk to her. Taking a seat beside the girl, she said. "Hi there.". "Are you new here? My name is Jasmine and I'm a sixth year, but this is my first year at Hogwarts. It's not easy when everyone else at the table seems to know ech other, is it?" Jasmine knew what it was like to be all alone in a new place and she hoped that the girl didn't mind having some old kid to talk to. |
