High up in the top-most reaches of the Castle is a tower dedicated to Ravenclaw House. You come across the entrance in the form of a door on the 7th floor without a doorknob or a keyhole but a bronze knocker shaped like the head of an eagle. If, and only if, you answer the riddle that the eagle presents you correctly, you may gain entrance to the Ravenclaw Common Room. Hey, there's a reason that Ravenclaw is the house for those with brains.
Upon entering the Common Room you see a number of things but mostly you see the floor to ceiling windows that span around the airy, wide and circular room. Beyond their panes you can see what looks like all of Hogwarts' campus and the majestic mountain range beyond. One sweeping look through them and you can see the Forbidden Forest, Quidditch Pitch, The Greenhouses, the Black Lake, and even the shimmering light from the windows in Hogsmeade. At nighttime, the glass reveals the starry night beyond. The walls are covered in blue and bronze silk hangings and the midnight blue carpet covering the floor is decorated with stars just as the domed ceiling.
Placed on the centre of the curved wall is a large fireplace with plenty of navy blue sofas and armchairs placed around it as well as a few book cases and tables. They are there for students to lounge at, as they work on homework, socialize or just relax and enjoy the view between lessons. On a crowded night in the common room the fire place is a good meeting spot if you want to find someone to engage in a rowdy game of Gobstones or plan a party with.
Along the wall you entered there is the Announcements Board where all things will be posted regarding school events, lessons, and homework as well as the Study Tables that are provided for a more structured setting for Ravenclaws to do what Ravenclaws do best. The Grey Lady, the House ghost of Ravenclaw tends to visit this spot especially every now and then. And last but not least, to the right of where the impressive statue of Rowena Ravenclaw herself stands, is the staircase leading to the dormitories. Once you ascend these stairs, going to the right will take you to the ones allotted for the girls and the left will lead you to the ones reserved for the boys. Come in, relax, have fun and make yourselves at home.
"He's so not silly." Jun should stop being mean to his pet. Charlie would adopt him, otherwise, and let him sleep allllll of the time. It probably would help that that's what she tended to do, a lot, too. Pulling her hair around her shoulder, she continued brushing it as the boy wrapped the blanket around her, curling up next to him. Toassssty.
What had she been up to? What had she been upto? She shrugged a little, nudging him back. "Planning summer trips. Thinking about uni. Reading." The usual. "You?" Apart from waking your ferret up.
"He's probably sleeping to ignore how could it's been lately," Jun didn't mind the cold, he was used to it from when they lived in Norway. But the poor ferret was probably used to it yet. Then again, it's never been this cold in the castle before. Jun smiled as Charlie snug up next thim. Good, more warmth was nice. Especially during these days. Pulling his knees up a bit, Jun wiggled his toes inside his dinosaur feet slippers. Good thing he got these over Christmas break.
"Oh, Uni already?" Jun never thought about uni. But maybe he should in case the program doesn't work out for him. If he stayed, he'll be training for another four years and hoping to get into a group. So maybe he will start looking at uni stuff. "Practicing for the program, trying to stay warm in this cold and been working on my cooking," Nothing out of the ordinary.

Charlie nodded a little, and drew the blanket closer around her in agreement with Juns pet. "I could totally do that." If she didn't have so much else to do, and of course if the cold wasn't going to keep on waking her at night. "I was wishing for summer. I think it back fired." The only time she'd experienced cold close to this was Christmas' in Poland, but for some reason that was a whole lot nicer. Not as much snow. Higher temperatures.
She expected the weather in Poland.
Nodding a little, the sixth year bit at her bottom lip. "I... Yeah. I think Tristan and I are going to visit a few in the summer. I... I think I know what I want to so." So no point delaying it, right? Besides, Jun didn't have to think about uni. He was going to debut and be famous and stuff. And that was going to take a lot more effort than poring over course catalogues. "Cooking?" She didn't know Jun cooked. Maybe they should cook together.

"Anyone would. But I already tend not to sleep so much. I just need to find way to entertain myself," Besides with school stuff. The boy couldn't even concentrate on that when all this extra cold was happening. Jun would just spend most of his time in the kitchens, cooking so the food and fire would keep him warm. "Ew, summer. Now that I think of it, the heat sounds nice for once," And this was coming from someone who hated summer very much. The heat and Jun did not mix at all.
Oh?
"What do you plan on studying?" Jun hadn't really given uni a thought. Well, two years ago he did, before getting into the program. But having a fallback didn't hurt either. Maybe he should head to the library later on and search up some. It'll keep him preoccupied too. He nodded. "Yeah, I cook all the time. Since I was little too. Dad wouldn't be home for months and if Ma was sick, it was either my brother or I who would cook that night," Hehe, hidden talent. At least they didn't starve.

Charlie sighed a little, leaning on the boys shoulder. "Entertaining ourselves is getting harder." She managed: what with not going outside and being able to enjoy the weather, Charlies book list was getting shorter and shorter. "Locked up inside, everything just seems ten times more boring." And more difficult, too - Lessons weren't even a distraction any more.
"You, looking forward to snow? Things must be getting bad around here." He was getting teased, of course, but that was because the blonde didn't understand what he didn't like about the summer. Summer and sun and all things hot were everything that was perfect with the world.
Or everything imperfect, judging by their school. "Something fashion-y. Maybe marketing. Probably merchandising." she said, running her brush through her hair some more. "How's the programme going?" She didn't think Jun even needed to look at university or anything, he was bound to go somewhere. "That's cool. I used to cook, when I lived with my dad. He can't, so..." She tailed off with a shrug. It was no Caterina Moretti food, but it was good.

Jun nodded in agreement. Even practices were becoming boring and he had barely gone into the room of requirement to do so. Honestly, the boy was already going a bit crazy being stuck all the time. Or he sat by his window to do the homework. "It does. I've considered burning my textbooks just for fun," Like History of Magic and Divination. Those were the top books to be burned soon. And to heat up his dorm too.
"Because summer is disgusting," Jun hated being touched during summer. No one could get close to him or else he'd punch them and lay on the cold floor in just his underwear. Yup, he would get that irritated. "Oh, that sounds exciting. Will you be designing clothes?" Could he get some too? For free? Thank you. "Dunno," He chuckled. "My brother did tell me that those living in the dorms are having harder practices. But I just have to practice enough here to pass auditions in the summer," With no injuries would be lovely too. He nodded. "So you're dad couldn't cook?"

The farthest one to his office, the most exhausting one to go to, the hardest one to enter. No wonder he'd left it to the last place, but he had to enter to look for three people. He didn't study the common room, as this was his second time here, and he sat down at a sofa instead, set the three vials on the coffee table in front of him and hoped those students would be there soon.

For once Nigel was not chillaxing in his favorite chair. He was lady jamming out on his bed in his normal dorm room attire. In in the past Mo would be taking awesome pictures that would only blind people by how awesome they were. Just a Fact. But now it was just him and his imaginary microphone or hairbrush. Whichever sounds better. And if you needed another reason why he played bass guitar. Just listen to him singing and you would understand.
So when he finally came down to the common room to see if there was any leftover pizza there. He was surprised to see the Potion Master relaxing on the sofa with some vials on the table. He was looking pretty zen right now.
"Yeah Professor. You are not looking for spare change in the sofas, are you?"
He had to ask after seeing Flamsteed do it a couple years ago.

Jasmine entered the Common Room feeling exhausted. She was physically, mentally, emotionally and any other way you could possibly be tired.......tired. All she wanted to do right then was sit in a nice comfy chair, preferably by the fire, and veg out for a nice long while.
Spying the empty chair, Jasmine was on her way to it when she spotted someone she didn't expect to see. He was busy talking to the Prefect Nigel. Not wanting to be rude, Jasmine waited for a break in their conversation. Walking over, she managed a weary smile. "Hi", Jasmine said to her Prefect. "Hello Professor Culloden. What brings you to Ravenclaw Tower?". Jasmine's curiosity was peaked. It wasn't every day that you saw a Professor in the Common Room. Then she saw the vials on the table and she was really curious.

"That would help with the heat," Charlie laughed at the notion of burning books, bringing her legs up closer to her chest. Or rather, lack thereof. She shuddered a little at the thought of the place getting any colder. "It's snowing in the Great Hall. I can't stand the thought of it snowing anywhere else." Not in her bedroom, no thank you! If it did snow in the dorms, would they be moved? Or would they be forced to deal with it?
Charlie hoped she didn't have to find out.
Rolling her eyes slightly, she prodded the boy in his arm. "You're crazy. Summer is the best." The heat, the sand, the nicer clothes. Jun was pronounced crazy. At the prospect of designing clothes, she shook her head a little. "Probably not. I'm kinda interested in the business-y part right now. But you never know, Tam might sway me." The 'boring part' as Elodie called it. Charlie actually found it rather fascinating. "You should get leeway on special circumstances. Being cooped up all the time. Plead insanity. We're all getting close to it." Then he wouldn't have to practice as much, right?
Not that Charlie wanted anyone to go insane, but if she didn't feel direct contact with the sun and the outside, soon, then she was pretty sure she might. "Well, he could -" she grimaced, pulling a face. "Just badly. He doesn't need me anymore, though." Nope. Not now he was married and she'd moved out.

Maddie wrapped up in a SWEET blanket burrito before making her way into the common room, Zeus trailing along behind her. The kneazle was in good spirits now that he could come out of her dorm as Maddie's cold had kept him trapped for quite a few days. "You happy now, you little furball?" He SEEMED happy so congratulations to HIM.
Oh look, PROFESSOR in the house. THAT didn't happen everyday and MAYBE he had some exciting news or something. Merlin knew Maddie could use some after being locked away with a DEATHLY illness (aka a common cold).
"Hey Professor, Prefect long hair, random housemate. HI."
Cosgrach didn't have to wait long, luckily. Nigel was here pretty soon with a... weird question. An offensive one, even, if Cosgrach didn't know any better.
"Why would I look for a spare change?" His paycheck was more than enough, thank you. He didn't need any student's cash.
Jasmine appeared as soon as he was done answering, and he nodded at the girl.
"Hello, Ms. Guidry." At least she didn't accuse him of looking for money. "I'm here to give you, Nigel and Maddison something. Where is -"
THERE! The sweet child was there. He smiled at the girl, muttered "Hello," and cleared his throat ceremoniously to indicate what he was going to say was IMPORTANT.
"So I was looking for you three," he said once again for Maddison, "because I have brewe cool potions for you to appreciate the hard work you've shown for my class." He then turned the vials' name tags towards them for them to get their vial.
It was just a question and his answer surprised Nigel. Who knew Truebridge actually paid the teachers well by the speed they leave this place. And he remembered it was the turnstile term and everyone needed knuts to enter the common room. so it made sense.
"Just one of the many reason why a Professor has journeyed up here."
Lets not forget Truebridge trying feng shui to get them back to winning anything. That did not work and it only made more work moving thing back to their rightful places. Back to the present. Nigel listened to why Culloden was here and it was a pretty awesome reason.
"Awesome. Thanks Professor"
Really Cool.

Jasmine listened as Professor explained his reason for visiting the Common Room. He wanted to give something to her and two of her housemates? It seemed the vials were for them.
Jasmine smiled, a real smile this time. "You brewed a potion for me?", Jasmine said with amazement. "That was so nice of you. Thank you so much. What is it?" Someone actually appreciated her effort. That meant a lot to Jasmine especially from Professor Culloden. Potions had never been her strongest subject, but things had really started to click since she had been at Hogwarts. She could actually say that she enjoyed Potions now.

Hold. The. SNITCH. They were getting POTIONS? Ones brewed by the Potions Professor HIMSELF? Wow. This was WICKED.
Maddie TRIED to play it cool and stuff 'cause she KNEW she was a brilliant budding Potions star but it was hard to stop herself from bouncing excitedly as she took one of the potions and observed the bottle. "This is pretty cool, Professor. Thanks!" Smiles for you, Culloden. You go, Culloden.
"Yeah, which potion DID you give us or are they all different?"
...someone... had come precisely there to look for coins? Good gracious! That was some greed, no? Cosgrach tsked and shook his head in disapproval. He didn't even want to know who it was, but his guess would be Orsino. Only he was capable of embarrassing himself in such manner.
Forgetting about Orsino as they complimented him, Cosgrach wiiiiidely smiled at them. Yes, he knew he was awesome, clever, cool and the best. He even chuckled at Maddison's reaction and turned to Nigel first. He wanted Maddison to be CURIOUS.
"So you're in this band... Dead Kitties or somethin'? How you played last year? I don't really understand these stuff, but I brewed you a potion to make your voice better and help you sing much better. If you don't sing but play an instrument, you'll play that much better too." So no worries. The potion made him do anything better, period.
Ah, he was the bestbestbest professor ever!
"I heard you were involved in the forest incident." He made a face at Jasmine. "So yours is a potion to quash fear and anxiety. It will make you braver but also more focused to let you analyse all the aspects of a grave situation quicklier and act bravely if you have to."
Mhmmm, he knew he was great.
"And you, Ms. Bouncy," he said with a vast grin, looking at Maddison with a twinkle in his eye, "your potion will make you feel much lighter and you will be able to bounce freely as if you're on the Moon? Do you know how people on Moon walk like? Well, you will be just like them." Suited her, he knew. It was created for wizard astronauts for their training and for the entertainment of people like him and Maddison.
Nigel had to admit Culloden was pretty awesome for doing this. Lafay would never do this for the other houses. Maybe only for Slytherin. But still.....
Dead Kitties?
Oh, Band. TDK. "No Worries and Thanks Professor" Nigel did not know what else to say. He could not sing worth a cauldron. But if you wanted him to look awesomely awesome out there playing the bass. He could do that. This potion would even make him play better. Make him more awesome. Awesome. Next concert would be a perfect time to use it.
At practice would be waste. Now he would just like to sit and watch with a bowl of popcorn. Maddie trying out her potion. It will be hilarious to watch. All three potions were pretty awesome.

Jasmine listened as the Professor explained the potion that he brewed for her. Fear, anxiety, yes she had plenty of that. This was something that would help get rid of, or at least lesson that. Jasmine was all for it. Not only that but it would help her to focus and analyze better. She didn't quite know what to say. "Wow, thank you Professor. I know that this will definitely come in handy. Thank you so much. I really appreciate it."
Jasmine picked up the vial with her name on it and turned it around in her hand. How cool was this?

Oh, how we drift away from our friends. And the ones back home play remember when
Samantha decided that her house's common room would be the best place to first practice the spell. She found an area that wasn't surrounded by her fellow housemates, thus providing her with full concentration. Aiming her wand, Sam did the figure eight motion three times, saying "Caelum Saepio." with each wand movement.
She placed the back of her hand against the wall she had just enchanted and she was pleased and relieved to find that it felt warmer. Sam pocketed her wand and exited the Common Room.

What a COOL potion! Maddie's eyes lit up and she couldn't stop the corners of her mouth from tugging upwards into a bright smile. Professor Culloden was sort of awesome, yeah? He had the whole scary thing going on sometimes and then BAM, he was giving you potions for working hard. THIS was a guy who knew what he was doing.
"This is BRILLIANT, Professor. I've always wanted to walk on the MOON and now at least I'll know how it FEELS to do that. Thanks a BUNCH." And Maddie wasn't one to get overexcited but she WAS right now. Was there enough of this stuff to share with Dima and Kyroh?! Could she try it NOW?
"You should really tell Professor Flamsteed about this potion, sir. I bet HE'D want to try it too! MHM!"
dream until your • dreams come true ~ Human pygmy puff
Oh, the Professor was getting ready to leave. Did Jasmine have any questions? No, not really. She had already decided that he would save her potion for just the right situation.......a time when she really needed it. Knowing Hogwarts, that could be any day now. "Thank you again for the potion Professor", Jasmine said. Then she turned to go to the other side of the Common Room.
It was time to do the next part of her Charms homework and she had chosen to insulate the Common Room next. Finding a spot of wall that was to her liking, Jasmine prepared to cast the spell. Taking out her wand, she raised it toward the wall. Then she made a sideways infinity sign and said, "Caelum Saepio". Jasmine tried the spell again in the same spot. "Caelum Saepio", she said once again while repeating the wand movement. Fortunately she saw the wall start to fog up. Jasmine wanted to do more of the wall, but she decided to move on to the next location.

"If you don't have any questions or something, I'd better leave." He waited for a moment to see if they had.
"Really?" PAUSE. "Maybe we can use some together, Professor Flamsteed and I. MAYBE." And while they bounced she could get the 411 on this crazy winter storm during the spring they were having.
"No questions from me, Professor, but thanks again!" This had made her day, really truly.
Jun nodded. "They should really do something about that. Guess we're just gonna have to eat in the kitchens or dorms," Like he already did. Or the corridors when the dorm was too far on certain days. Jun would just keep burning his books and try to make all the snow melt. But knowing how weird Hogwarts was, the snow would just get worse. The term just needed to be over already.
"No. Summer is disgusting. End of discussion," Because it really was. Especially for someone who hated to sweat. But Jun did anyway when he was practicing. "Oh, so you'll want to work at a fashion shop??" Was that what she was saying? Being stuck in this castle made Jun's thinking become slowler than usual. Chuckling, Jun shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe. I try to find ways to keep me distracted from all this," Like teaching himself Chinese in the library. Jun frowned and nodded a bit. "That's not true. A father always needs his daughter,"

Trudging up to the Ravenclaw common room at last, Sophie was ready to be done with this assignment. It was nice to help out Culloden, Fuller, and Thompson, but on her voyage up to the Ravenclaw tower, she wondered how much of a difference it had really made to be so meticulous about making sure the entirety of the corridors and Culloden's office had been covered sufficiently in the fog. Would it have been a huge difference if she'd just focused on various spots on the wall? Could she have saved herself the time and effort?
Eh. She supposed it didn't really matter. Her three core favorite professors were probably a little better off now. That was well worth her time.
"Caelum Saepio," she started along the wall beside the entrance, moving a bit quicker and less carefully than she had in her previous endeavors to insulate the school. The common room was big and it wasn't like she could insulate the whole ceiling, but Sophie aimed her wand all the way from the floor to the ceiling at various intervals, repeating "Caelum Saepio" over and over again while she fluidly waved her wand in a figure-eight motion continuously. She paid close attention to the windows as she passed them, but she also tried her best to aim the fog emitting from her wand up to the high ceilings. She might've jumped a few times to try to get even a little higher, too, but she didn't think that was helping much. Ah, well.
When she reached the stairs to the dormitory, she continued casting the charm all the way up the stairs. She'd probably do the other side of the common room when she came back down, but she wasn't too worried about it, honestly - she figured every other Ravenclaw doing their charms homework was smart enough to look after their own haven, too.

Jasmine had noticed that her bonsai Charlie had not been looking as perky as usual lately. Her dorm room had been much colder than usual and she was afraid that the temperature had affected him. Going for the quick fix, Jasmine brought him down to the Common Room, hoping to get him warmer.
Jasmine knew that this was only a temporary solution and would not solve the long term problem. Hopefully it would buy her some time while she found a more long term way to keep him healthy. Anyway, she was determined that her tree would live.
Jasmine found a nice spot by the fire that was neither too close to the flame nor too far away to feel the warmth. She sat down in a nearby chair and placed Charlie on the armrest. "This should help you feel a little better", Jasmine said to her bonsai. She was not going to let her little tree die. That was just out of the question.
While Jasmine and Charlie sat and got warm, she racked her brain trying to come up with a better plan. Then she thought if an idea, but she would have to go to the library. First, she would take Charlie back upstairs and then she would head to the library.
