Professor Culloden isn't by the door this time, but is sitting on his chair, looking at the door to see who was coming. The soft, calming blue walls welcome you again, as well as the chairs with soft cushions, charmed to take the most comfortable shape and height once a student is seated. By the door of the potions store room stands one big, grey rubbish bin and a white, porcelain washbasin with a tap for those who wants to wash their hands before/after the class and who can't perform 'Aguamenti' charm.
There writes a message in the Professor's own hand-writing on board:
Welcome to the term's second potions lesson. :-)
OOC: If you are going to RP your characer use the washbasin or the bin, you don't have to take Cosgrach's permission. Just assume he has granted it.
The lesson has started, so please don't post your characters arriving late. Just act as if they have been here all along.
Cabeza de Turco
• Purified water
• 10 hippogriff feathers
• Half a unicorn horn (grated before starting)
• Glumbumble parts
• Half a Fwooper voice chords
• One drop of doxy venom
• Frog leg
1. Grate half a unicorn horn
2. Heat the cauldron for a minute at medium heat
3. Add 3 glasses of purified water
4. Add hippogriff feathers one by one
5. Count to ten and stir the potion counter clockwise once. Count to twenty and stir it clockwise once. Count to thirty and stir counter clockwise once again. - CAREFUL WITH THIS STEP!
6. Add the grated unicorn horn and draw an arrow pointing to right with your wand.
7. If the colour has turned bright white, add glumbumble parts and stir five times clockwise with wooden stirrer.
8. Add fwooper voice chords and wave your wand.
9. Add one drop of doxy venom. It should smoke for a few seconds. Wave your wand again once it stops smoking.
10. Add the frog leg and whisper a motivational quote or an inspirational person’s name.
-The colour is dark grey and it sits completely still even if you shook it.
-It depends on how strong your will is. The weaker it gets, the longer this potion will last and the more effective it will be.
-It will also reawaken suppressed guilt and especially these will eat you alive.
-Anyone can induce guilt, but the brewer is more powerful.
-If added into a drink (not potion), it will briefly smoke. Once the smoke dissipates, the taste and the colour of the drink is the same.

Text Cut: Kevin's detention after class
Cosgrach wasn't thinking straight, so he didn't even wince when he wasted a few ingredients for that stupid brat's detention. After dinner, he came directly to his beloved classroom and went about trashing it: he broke some vials and scattered the glass everywhere, MULTIPLIED the rubbish the students left behind, yanked the rubbish bin to the ground, turned those three buckets (one: half-done potion and two: purified water) upside down and spread the liquid to every single inch of the floor (the potion was sticky and ewwwww), deliberately placed some slippery and disgusting-but-cheap ingredients around the door for him to STEP ON and SLIIIIIDE, and opened a nasty-smelly vial of potion that would make any unprepared person nauseous. It didn't affect him, though, as this was his LIFE. But if that brat even THOUGHT of vomiting!
Satisfied with his work, he went and spoke to Alexa, and returned to sit on one of the desks near the door with cold-blooded calmness, waiting for his prey.

Jasmine was watching over her potion when she heard raised voices, yelling even and someone threatening to give swirlies. Whaaat? Trying to focus on what she was doing was hard given all of the back and forth among and between the Professor and various students. Jasmine was kind of surprised that the Professor didn't hand out more detentions.
As much as she wanted to watch the "show", Jasmine could not afford to ruin her potion. Somewhere in the middle of the madness, the Professor had managed to write the next set of instructions on the board. When Jasmine turned back to her potion, she was pleased to see that it had turned bright white. She added her glumbumble parts to the potion and picked up her wooden spoon. Since she had cleaned it after using it for a previous step, Jasmine was ready to stir. Jamine counted out five stirs as she moved her spoon in a clockwise direction. Removing her spoon she cleaned it again and then waited for the next instructions.

There was way too much drama and waaaaay too much loud people. And what he was hearing had nothing to do with potions. Didn't they realize how dangerous it was to be so loud or at least so distracted by other things when trying to brew? Did they want to actually blow something up? Benny simply shook his head to himself as Professor Culloden went about dealing with the troublemakers, tuning out until the man spoke again to the whole class to give the next step.
Bright white.
His potion needed to be bright white.
Benny held his breath as he looked into his cauldron to check things out, giving a sigh of relief when it was at least white. That couldn't be too bad...right? "Um...professor? How bright is bright?" he asked, wanting to make sure before continuing.
Angel was shocked more points off Gryffindor and none of Ravenclaw even though a Ravenclaw had said some nasty things, seriously could someone turn the Professor into a frog or something because she was being horrible to Gryffindor, saying that was you allowed to turn a Professor into a frog without getting into trouble?
Angel looked at her potion and saw that her potion had turned bright white, so she added the glumbumble parts and stirred the potions five times clockwise. she was still angry about the points situation, but there was nothing she could do and she seriously didn't want to redo the potion again so she made sure that she had done everything perfectly before waiting for the next instruction.

It was like everything, just exploded at once. And Kyroh kind of wanted to cover his ears because it was getting loud. But then Candice spoke up! "I don't mean me" Kyroh said blinking genuinely confused. He had no problems with Gryffindors at all. Because YEAH Candice was his friend! "Just all the older kids and stuff say they don't like Gryffindors. Even adults. Just wanted to know why...."
Had he done something wrong?
APPARENTLY. Because then Zahra started YELLING at him. And being MEAN to him like always. Kyroh's eyes narrowed and his face started to feel hot.He had never done anything to her! He hadn't! Okay maybe he pushed her into the fountain but that was AFTER was being mean. Kyroh stood up and began shaking his small FIST at Zahra. He would have thrown something too but the only stuff he had around him were potion ingredients. "I am NOT a baby! The first year yelled loudly. He just WASN'T okay? And he was ANGRY until...
She said that no one liked first years.....
Kyroh sunk back in his chair.
Was that true? He didn't even pay attention to the threat because....no one liked him?
As Toby leaned over to talk to him, Kyroh gazed over, eyes wide and slightly glistening. Zahra was MEAN and he was NOT a baby and he was NOT crying......yet. "Okay Toby." He mumbled eyes turning back to his potion, not even noticing the smile or the wink.
See mean Zahra. Toby liked him!
Sniffle.
Culloden was laughing and everything but Kyroh didn't notice. His eyes were focused on the potion. Potion. Not mean people. At first he thought it had turned white because of the tears in his eyes but nope. It was suppose to be that way. Okay good. Wipping his eyes with his sleeve, Kyroh cleaned off his stick and poured the glumbumble parts in. After that he stirred five times, full circles and everything clockwise.
Was class done yet?

Man.... Kevin had kind of screwed up or whatever, BUT WHO HADNT BEFORE? In fact, Zahra was counting herself lucky to not be in his exact shoes. She was, after all, the student that stuffed a gnome in her shirt recently.
Then some OTHER Claw was on Kevin's case? Zahra could put up with Lex (as much as she hated it) riding him as Prefect, BUT NOT THESE KNOW IT ALL CLAWS!
So Zahra made an announcement:
"Next 'Claw that says something to Kevin is getting a swirlie after class!!!!" AND THAT WAS A PROMISE!
Ugh Claws were the worst. Save for like...Nigel... but even he was pretty grumpy at times.
MEANWHILE, Zahra returned to her cauldron, threw in some unicorn whatever stuff, and MOSTLY gave the Baby Claws DARING LOOKS. SAY SOMETHING. DO IT. SHE HAD A TOILET WITH THEIR NAMES ON IT.

Oh? He turned to Elodie in complete confusion. He hadn't been expecting that. And then, Sophie - and he actually felt kind of bad for almost losing his control in front of them. See how they defended him against someone who didn't even deserve their attention. ...WHO was THAT girl?! WHERE did she even come from? He EYED her, and his face darkened. His fury for Kevin and for this girl were quite different. With Kevin, it was premature fury, the kind that came and went. With this girl? She did it on purpose. Kevin WAS an idiot, but this girl was...
"Five points off Gryffindor." And it wasn't even from Kevin! His eyes were on that girl. WHAT was a 'swirlie', anyway? Some new lingo? Eh, in any case, it wasn't a pleasant thing, obviously.
"Next person that makes any rude comment is earning a pleasant detention with me after class."That was a promise too! Okay, girl, Kevin, anyone else?
Sending one last death glare to the girl, he turned his gaze to Kevin. His fury for him was almost forgotten.
"You can go have dinner after class and come back." He was nice enough to let him eat first, see?
"And you don't have to come any evening except tonight." He smiiiirked dirtily, then. "I was just tryin' ya." See how much of a fool he was. The result? He was silly enough to slam his hand and shout back. And iffff he even GROANED now...
For detention the bells tolled.
So this is a worrrrrse punishment than every evening with Cosgrach Culloden for Kevin Hirase. Can he keep his mouth shut now, or will he risk it all? Be sure to tune in to the next -
He took a deep breath, remembered some happy moments in his life and calmed doooown. He also avoided looking at that girl and Kevin not to get angry again.
"Everyone," he said, not looking at those two 'dorks, "If your potion's turned bright white, add glumbumble parts and stir five times clockwise, please."

Sophie didn't know a whole lot about Kyroh yet besides that Tobes and Culloden had both taken a liking to him, but that was enough in her book to make her want to look out for him, so when Zahra threatened him - and apparently all Ravenclaws - with "swirlies," Sophie SCOFFED. She'd like to see her TRY, but just as she opened her mouth to dare her, Culloden took five points from the older girl.
Ha.
That was enough to shut Zahra up and make her cry, and even though Kevin was still riled up, Sophie minded her own business and hoped the Gryffindors now knew better than to mess with Ravenclaws or Culloden in the future.
But all was not well with Kyroh, she saw, and as Culloden moved on to talk to a few students, Soph slipped from her chair, giving Cat a nod as she left her to stop by Kyroh and mutter from behind him, "You're not a baby - you're cool in my book, Scabior." Soph gave him an encouraging sort of pat on the shoulder, ruffled Toby's hair, then sauntered back off to her own work station, smiling back at the both of them.
She wasn't going to let anyone bully her baby Ravenclaws.
As the professor gave further instructions, Sophie ignored the rest of the class behind her and followed his directions, first scourgifying her wooden stirring stick that was resting on a tissue, then dumping the glumbumble parts into the bright white concoction in her cauldron and stirring it five times clockwise with her stirrer. And then she thought about the Gryffindor hooligans behind her again and wondered what kind of detention Culloden could come up with for them. Something really gross and brutal, she bet - the guy worked with bizarre potions ingredients for a living, after all. She kind of hoped they'd keep antagonizing him so she could hear stories about their detentions later. Heheheh.
His eyes went to the Hufflepuff Prefect when she OFFERED to HIT him with a book. Was that how a Prefect was supposed to act?! And then that little Kyroh dude making the Professor LAUGH at what he said made things even worse but before he could say anything he felt a hard jab in his back and he winced while looking at his OWN Prefect. "DON'T!" he yelled at her. "Touch me , got that?!"

"You're taking away points because she DEFENDED ME!?" he had tried not to shout, he really had but this whole thing was just unfair. "But not the people who OFFERED to hit me or the ones saying rude stuff about Gryffindors huh?!" He didn't even care about his potion anymore. So that was why he , like Zahra, DUMPED the glumbumble parts in to his cauldron without even looking if his potion had turned bright white and then without cleaning the wooden stirrer he stirred the potion five times while he was fuming.
When he was done with that, he got back to GLARING at the Professor but his features turned slightly normal when he said that he could at least have dinner. Kevin nodded his head silently but his watery eyes were still GLARING at him.
...more shouting...
Cosgrach raised his eyebrows at Kevin, TRULY questioning the boy's EVERYTHING right now. Like, if he even knew what 'manners' meant, and if he did, why he wasn't acting so.
Completely oblivious to Alexa's charm, he spoke in a VERY serious tone he used as a LAST warning before that limit where he couldn't be held accountable for his actions: "I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and pretend you didn't shout at me," he said, "your friend was ALSO being mean, and last time I checked, Elodie's books didn't even come close to your head." As if he'd let her do that, see? "One more word, Kevin..."
His patience wasn't to be tried this much.

Cosgrach checked his potion, a very welcome distraction from Kevin, and nodded at him.
"It looks bright enough to me, Ben." A great lion, by all means. Hopefully, Kevin was seeing him as well.

Sighing to himself, Cosgrach turned to the class.
"Add fwooper voice chords and wave your wand, please." And not be Kevin. Ignore him completely, in fact.
Beverly would have paid to see someone who'd upset professor Culloden get hit in the head with a book. She'd even pay to have popcorn while she watched. Unfortunately, she doubted he'd like that, even if it was done on his honor, so she just wistfully imagined it. BAM!
Snapping out of it, she read the seventh step as it appeared on the board. White. Was her solution white? Quickly peering into her cauldron, the Slytherin was delighted to see that the color was changing, until finally it was a bright white. Reaching from the glumbumble parts, she added them in gingerly. Then, with a cast of Aguamenti at the wooden stirrer, Beverly dipped it into the cauldron and stirred five times clockwise.
Just as she finished that step another one appeared on the board. Did this mean they were getting close to finishing up? She needed food. Taking the fwooper voice chords - and making a face at them - she added them into the cauldron. Poor fwooper idiots. Now the wave. Taking up her wand once more, the fourth year gave it a nice wave. Were they done, yet?

Drama, drama was happening. AJ was trying to manage to her potion right without blowing anything up so she had completely missed whatever had started the drama. She HATED drama. Something about nobody liking Gryffindors, and first years. That couldn't be true though because she was both of those things and plenty of people liked her. Those claws seemed needy though and AJ didn't have time for that. She shrugged her shoulders and went on about her business. Looking up at the board she realized that she was behind. It was those other kids fault. Looking down at her potion she saw that it was indeed a bright white she she safely added glumbumble parts and stirred five time clockwise with her CLEANED wooden stirrer.

They were adding somebody's voice chords? Cool. She had no idea what a fwooper was, but if she had to guess AJ would say that it was some kind of bird. AJ added the fwooper voice chord and waved her wand. It didn't say how to wave it so she literally just waved it back and forth over her cauldron. What next?

Zander was watching all the drama unfold, and he wanted to step in and help his fellow lions, but he didn't really feel the need since everyone else was already doing that. Under any other conditions, Zander despised Zahra. She was just a no-good-arm-biting animal, but since she was defending Gryffindor house.... He could make an exception this one time. And even though she got points taken away from Gryffindor, at least it was all in good reason. Hmph. That Kyroh kid was totally stepping out of line. Everyone LOVES Gryffindor.
Now as for the next step, Zander carefully looked over his cauldron praying that his potion had turned white. THANK MERLIN! Now for the glumbumble parts. Are glumbumbles even real things? Five times clockwise, check. Hopefully class would come to an end soon. This was torture.
Now to do step eight!

Now all the annoying waiting and stirring and counting was finished with, Tora was ready to lock and load. Grated unicorn horn in the cauldron? Check. But now she had to draw an arrow. With her wand. Which direction was that again? She double checked the board, and then because she knew she made these kinds of mistakes, triple checked it. She made the arrow to the right, like the instructions had said and promptly wiped the tip on the edge of her robes. She certainly didn't want the potion soaking into her pocket.
She watched as her potion slowly turned white. And then whiter... was this white enough? It still looked a bit creamy colored but Tora didn't want to redo the entire potion! It would be all right if she just did the next step now, even though the potion wasn't perfect. Who knows? It might only make her feel slightly guilty instead of horribly guilty when she had to drink it later. Then she wouldn't tell anything she didn't want to. Heh. With her plan to stay out of trouble firmly laid out in her mind, Tora continued on to add the glumbumble parts. She stirred five times, making extra sure to stir clockwise, before finally dropping in fwooper voice chords into her cauldron. With a wave of her Ebony wand, she was done and all caught up with the class. Tada!

Oblivious to the fact that Alexa had cast the spell on Kevin, Cris was just glad that they could get past this portion of the potion making without another outburst from him.
Picking up his quill, he began writing down the next steps when their Potions Master began to speak again.

Picking up his quill, he proceeded to update his journal.

Would the drama ever end? As it continued, Jasmine did her best to ignore it. They couldn't have too many more steps left before completing the potion so she continued to focus on her cauldron. This class had turned into a lesson in concentration.
As the next step was introduced, Jasmine wrote it down in her notebook. She took her fwooper voice chord and added it to her potion. Then she followed up with a wave of her wand. That was all that she had to do for that particular step so Jasmine allowed herself to relax for a moment.

Zander was totally into this whole drama scenario that had unfolded so he was a bit behind on following through with his potion. This actually was a class wasn't it? Anywaaaaaays.
Fwooper voice chords. Ouch. That sounds painful. What's a Fwooper anyways? Why are potions ingredients so weird sounding? Do these things actually even exist??? Culloden was probably making all of this up. Yeaaaah. Picking up the voice chords, Zander plopped them into his cauldron and started waving his wand. Where they supposed to say anything? Or just waving? Hocus pocus allacasam bibbity boppity booo.

When Alexa suddenly pointed her wand at him, the young Gryffindor grabbed his own wand off of the table and pointed it at her as well. "EXPELI----" He couldn't finish the disarming spell he had practised for his duel with the Astronomy Professor because suddenly his tongue was on the roof of his mouth. He tried speaking, shouting even at her but only a weird sound came out and the Gryffindor blushed before he closed his mouth.

Realising how weird he sounded, Kevin turned back around to send his Prefect a glare. How long was she going to let him being jinxed?! Could he use a counter-curse himself? But he didn't know hoooow!
The tears that had been forming in his eyes were long gone as Kevin finally shut his mouth closed and sat down in his seat. He was still annoyed though because the ONLY reason that he couldn't SHOUT at the Professor again was because of that stupid Jinx Alexa had done on him.

Angel listened to what the Professor was saying, she was hoping that Kevin would calm down before he lost a whole loads of points like say 5,000, she wondered if a Professor would be so mean as to take that many away but she thought probably not.
She was adding in a voice chord? Surely the fwooper would need it no, or had the Professor killed the fwooper, but if so surely that wasn't right what had the fwooper ever done to the Professor, she would look up on fwoopers later.
Angel smiled as she added in the fwooper voice chord and waved her wand around over her wand, she hoped she was doing it right but the Professor hadn't actually said how, did she mean like an angel or just a normal wave like she was doing?
Lucy felt a little confused in the middle of all these voices..She wanted help her classmates but she did not want to make things worse..
She looked her potion she saw that it was white..not really bright but white..
Lucy cleaned her wooden stirrer and she added glumbumble parts; then she stirred five time clockwise with the stirrer.
Finally she took the fwooper voice chords and she added them into her cauldron. She grabbed her wand and waved it...Done!

Call her a bad Prefect but Lex had never been more satisfied than now, seeing the boy reasonably silent and unable to sinfully annoy her further. How long she would leave that jinx on, she didn't know yet but it was a nice change she'd sparked in him and unless directed otherwise, she could see him walking around like that for the rest of the day. ... Meh. Who cared? It wasn't a Slytherin, and the Gryffindors were self-sabotaging themselves, so she'd just let them be. Next step! Sophie checked the color of her potion and carefully studied its color. White? Bright white? That was a shade of white, right? Sophie decided that yes, it was indeed the right color. She collected the glumbumble parts and added them into the brew. Afterwards, she picked up her wooden stirrer, gave it a fresh clean, then began stirring five times in a clockwise direction.
Sophie smirked as the drama continued. With any luck, the Hufflepuffs would join in, and Slytherin would top that leaderboard by a good couple hundred points. Sophie collected the fwooper voice cords, added in the amount they were told, and then waved her wand.
Zahra UNCEREMONIOUSLY dumped all the rest of the ingredients she had left into her cauldron. Maybe it wouldn't explode. BUT IF IT DID, she was hoping it took out those Butt Sniffing Claws. It was hard to believe ALL of her family had been apart of that House.
"Someone change his diaper and burp him," Zahra mumbled as her potion began to SMOLDER. SHE MEANT THAT BIG BABY KYROH. Ugh he was the worst. Please, shut him up, TOO. Why wasn't he ALSO made to shut up?

Marigold tried not to make eye contact at Culloden from across the room just in case that made him angry. He was actually a bit scary, that one. She looked at her potion and noted it was white. Therefore, she dropped the glumbumble pieces in, then picked up the stirrer. One, two, three, four, five times clockwise. She waited for a bit, then added the voice chords - still weirded out by that. Then a wand wave. Phew.

Okay. So she wasn't allowed to hit the kid on the head with a book. That wasn't fair, but fine. So focused with his notes Kyroh nearly jumped when he heard a voice from behind him. If it was Zahra coming back to say more things-Oh. Sophie. "I know i'm not." Kyroh mumbled quietly. "Thank you." Being cool in her books meant that she liked him right? Or was it even better cause he was COOL? A small smile repeated on Kyroh face as Sophie left and Culloden began to talk about the next step.

They made this potion to give to the people that the big bullies thought were wrong in their beliefs so they would follow them like robot zombies. Purpose: Manipulative potion Ingredients:
• Pure water
• 10 hippogriff feathers
• Half a unicorn horn (grated before starting)
• Glumbumble parts
• Half a Fwooper voice chords

5. Pour in three glasses of purified water

7. Clean wooden stirrer.
8. Count to ten and stir the potion counter clockwise once.
9. Count to twenty and stir it clockwise once.
10. Count to thirty and stir counter clockwise once again.
11. Pour grated unicorn horn in.
