"I don't know what he still wants, but I don't think he'll answer your owls. He's... very damaged. I don't think he's the person you think he is."
But then... who of them were? Wasn't that the problem?
Vivi rubbed her hands against her knees and tried to smile bracingly at Lex's memory of Max. "Em and Max were in the same boat. She needed more from him than he could give her." Like time and affection and attention. Lucky Vivi didn't need as much of those, she supposed. "He makes me very happy, though. He likes all those weird and wacky things that make most men run away. We'll just have to see what happens."
That didn't sound any different from the Vivi who'd left Hogwarts, the one Vickers had gone with when there was that whole.....problem with Louisa. The girl had always been more free spirited, always talking about getting out there and enjoying life. Even on the night she graduated while everyone else was in tears she was talking about the next big step. "Vickers must have known at least a little that settling down wasn't your plan yet, before he bothered dating you." Or had he not been paying that much attention? She'd been told 'love' rendered people blind. Was it any wonder she found it rubbish?
But then...she said that...
Vickers wouldn't be answering her owls? "Damaged? Damaged how?" Lex twisted so she was facing Vivi a little more, her hazel eyes wide with worry. "He's not hurt, is he??" He couldn't be. He said he could take care of himself. He promised. "What'd you mean?" He wasn't who she thought he was....?
So...in essence...Emm was needy. That was all she'd gotten from what Vivi said just now. Wanting more time and attention than Max could offer. "Good. Tell him he better always keep you happy, or he'll be hearing from a disgruntled Gryffindor."

Adelaide just needed to run. This summer was awful and it was good to be back. And she still needed to keep in shape because even if there wasn't quidditch at school she was still planning on trying out at the next opens. But she needed to stay in shape for that.
So here she was. Running. Trying to clear her mind and keep her head straight. With everything with her family and what might happen after she graduates she was just lost.

Going for a run, Jun's now brownish hair swayed while he was in motion. He needed to stay in shape for auditions, and sadly couldn't be lazy like he was last term. But then, he was old last year so he couldn't do much. But the dorm was common room was stuff, so it was better to be outside. Jun knew he probably should've wore a beanie or a cap; keep his ears warm in the now cooler weather. But that thought was interruppted when he noticed a certain redhead in front of him.
He hadn't seen her since their sleepover during summer and all the treats and butterbeers they chugged down. Yeah, they were gonna need to have another one soon. Even if either had to sneak into each others common room. Running a bit faster, Jun caught up to her and called out. "Addi!"
Please let it be her.

Addi was in the zone, just going up and down the pathways. She stopped suddenly when she heard a very familiar voice shout her name. She turned around and saw a familiar boy. Well, everything but the hair was familiar, but that wasn't anything new.
She turned around and ran back to Jun. She hadn't seen him since their slumber party, which definitely had to be repeated. "Jun! Gosh I missed you!"

What? NO HUG?
Jun pulled Addi into a hug and hugged the girl tightly. Yes, he missed his favorite redhead. Well, only redheaded friend. The boy swayed the older girl side to side. Shh, he was just happy to see his friend again. Letting her go, ..did he grow again..? Hopefully not, Jun grinned at her. "Where have you been? Do you know how much I need to tell you?" Like plenty, Miss Adams! Including things that happened after their sleepover.
Gosh Addi!

Addi giggled as she hugged Jun. He was probably her closest friend outside of Slytherin house. Not to mention after that sleepover he was definitely one of her best friends. She laughed and just stood there and let out a sigh.
"I've been with my parents. Dad needed me." She wrinkled her nose in a disgusted face. "I'm back now and that's all that matters."
"But what is all of this exciting stuff you need to tell me?"

It was getting harder and harder to have this conversation without saying something about Vickers that she would regret, especially to Lex, who apparently still really cared about him. It was misguided love, wasn't it, if she didn't know that he was MIA? "I don't want to talk about him anymore, Lex. It just didn't work out. And you should just owl him, and his uncle will tell you what's going on."
And that was all she'd say. Far be it for her to spread rumors about her ex-boyfriend.
"I'm sure that if Max fails to keep me happy, he'll be hearing from a disgruntled Ravenclaw first. But let's talk about YOU. What classes are you taking this term? How are you keeping yourself busy?"
Addi giggled as she hugged Jun. He was probably her closest friend outside of Slytherin house. Not to mention after that sleepover he was definitely one of her best friends. She laughed and just stood there and let out a sigh.

Whaaaaaaat?
Needed her? For what exactly? The girl needed to be in school. Not doing stuff with her political parents. But Jun felt like it was better not to ask what she was needed for. Might make her mood go down and he didn't want that. No sad redhead bestie! So the boy nodded and ruffled his hair. The wind had made some knots in it. Pain to get rid of sometimes.
Grinning, the boy did a 'tada pose'. "Guess who made it into the trainee program!" The brutal and exhausting trainee program that was going to make his legs break off one day.

Lex was beginning to think that the more questions she asked was the less they'd be answered. This time she was given even less than before and in no way assured that Vickers wasn't in fact hurt in some way or another. All she got was that Vivi didn't want to talk about it anymore and if she were to owl Vickers his uncle would be the one to respond. She didn't want to talk to his Uncle, thank you.
"You mean Mo? He'd only beat me to it because he'd hear about it way before I will." It hardly counted for anything, technically.
Lex blinked, wondering when the conversation had turned to her when it was Vivi she wanted to hear about. She shrugged, deciding to go with it anyway. "I'm taking all the classes on account of how little I know what I definitely wanna do later. It's good to have things incase I change my mind at some point." Thinking ahead and it was one of the few times she did that too. Her father and her grandparents were proud.
"Not so much keeping myself busy as school's keeping me busy, between Prefect Duty and trying not to die. I'm getting better at non-verbal hexes and curses though! Non-verbally Levicorpus-ed my Co-Prefect--you should have seen it it was epic...til the idiot went unconscious. He didn't even hit his head that hard when I dropped him." Some people were just so full of drama.
"I'm better at blowing things up too."

Good. Jun knew not to pry, even though Adelaide would more than likely spill everything to him later. She'd have to tell him before she graduated because the situation was going to be quite a bit different now. But she could worry about that later.
Addi beamed. "That is amazing Jun! I knew you could do it!" She wrapped him in a giant hug once more. She was so proud of him.
"Coral, slow down!" Halyon said, calm but firm. Her sister was clearly back to her usual self. Hallie curled her hair behind her ear and allowed herself to be dragged, scrambling her feet beneath her to keep up with her twin. Coral was clearly excited about a lot of what the school had to offer, but Hallie was still displeased with being here. Of course, it wasn't a shock either way. It was becoming clearer every day that Coral had a better chance of being happy and being popular here than Hallie. Maybe if they'd been put in the same house they'd be on track with each other, but they weren't and Hallie was scared at being at a disadvantage. She was scared of not being needed by her sister and scared of not being able to win catch up to her socially.
The creatures at Hogwarts, of course, were something Hal was extremely relieved to know they would have access too. She was always best at hands-on learning, and if she wanted to work with magical creatures one day, then seeing them up close was a great way to do it. It would be a great stress reliever. And, of course, she was glad to be dragged taken out here to spend time with her sister.
For once, Hallie was clinging to Coral's arm too, and she picked up her pace, skipping a little. "C'mon!" She said, making herself seem a little bit more excited than she really was.

Caterina had never been one to walk while reading a book, but she'd gotten so interested that she couldn't seem to stop reading it for a silly thing as walking. Though luckily her ears were working quite fine and the two were rather loud and excitable as they were running off to... well, wherever they were going. She managed to remove herself from their path and not get knocked over in the process, then she snapped her book shut and grinned. "Someone is in a big hurry, hmm? Did you dump tea into Truebridge's lap?" Were they now outlaws? They were rather cute ones if that, she'd smuggle them food for sure.
"But Hallie! What if there are lots of other people that like going? We have to get there first!" She wanted first pick of the creatures; to make friends with a few of them and feed them and pet them and make them happy. It would make her happy. She was just happy in general. She had her sister back, and she wasn't angry about being 'placed in the wrong house' and the roommate situation was going pretty well and everything was just great. Today was great.
Coral-Bay could barely contain herself. She let out a little squeak as her sister picked up the pace and told her to 'C'mon!' AS IF HALLIE. I'M GETTING THERE FIRST.

"Hello, miss!" She was pretty. Such bright blond hair! CB loved giving silent compliments. "Are we going the right way? Are the creatures this way?" COULD YOU SHOW US PRETTY OLDER STUDENT? "We're trying to find the magical creature pen. I heard you could take care of the creatures they had on the grounds all by yourself. I heard that they have a lot of them too. Do you know how many?"

"I don't mean Mo. I mean me. I don't leave my boyfriend abuse up to sprogs like the two of you. I can handle it myself," Vivi wagged a finger at Lex to let her know that she was the boss of herself, mmk? And she certainly didn't need an annoying little brother to handle things. He'd sort of let her down, actually, by never following up on any of those 'hurt my sister and I hurt you' threats to Vick.
"All the classes is a LOT. Are you sure you want to waste your last few years being so completely bored all the time? I think you should drop the useless ones and pick up some extracurriculars," Vivi really wasn't one to talk, considering the fact that she'd taken a full course load her seventh year. But that was different, because she'd had such BIG requirements after Hogwarts. "Unless you think you'll need them all. Do you have any idea of what you want to do?"
And it really didn't surprise her at all that she was harassing her co-prefect. Lex would probably never grow out of her deep enjoyment of hexing people, and honestly... Vivi wouldn't have it any other way. "Be careful you don't damage him beyond repair. People get so touchy about things."

Jun grinned and hugged Addi back just as tight as before. Yaaaaay! She was excited for him! Spinning her around, because he could totally do that, he didn't let go just yet. Besties hugged for a long time, no matter who was around. Finally letting her go, Jun set Addi down, still grinning. "Yeah? All those years of practice paid off. Not to mention it was tough auditions to begin with," Yeah, and it cost him his right ankle. Or was it the left? Jun couldn't remember anymore. It hadn't been hurting in a while, even with his crazy practices.

Charlotte was just so utterly bored all. the. time. She had managed meeting Connor the last time she had gotten this bored but he, along with her other friends, were nowhere to be found today. Maybe they were all out trying to figure out what their Halloween costumes would be? Luckily, she had already decided on hers and had planned it all out ages ago. It was something she had always been interested in being and so she figured she could pull it off now that she was sixteen...minus the afro though. She knew she could never pull off an afro.
Making her way to the pathways with her candy bag, she sat down on one of the benches, pulled out a lollipop, and popped it into her mouth. She wasn't quite sure what she was going to be doing there, since there wasn't much to do at the pathways, but Charlotte figured she could sit there for a little while eating candy until a new plan came to mind. For now, the pathways would just have to be good enough!

Addi laughed as she was spun. This was the kind of excitement she needed after everything she'd been going through lately. She contiued giggling when she was finally set down. "I'm so proud of you! And just excited!" She really was. Now if only her stuff would work out for her.

Kace was skateboarding down the pathways. He found there was less people here and they wouldn't get in the way. As he skated down the pathway, he noticed a new girl. He hadn't seen her before. Plus she looked by her lonesome. He decided why not make a new friend? He skated over to her bench and skidded to a stop.
He smiled and didn't want to scare her so he said, "Man i wish i had some candy to have.." he said looking at her bag. "The name is Kace.." he said extending his hand.

There was a tall cute boy and he was on a skateboard and he was...asking for her candy??? SIGH. Charlotte could have done just fine with a 'hey' or 'what's up' and then an introduction with his name but did he have to go and pretty much ask for her candy?! She had just had a mental break down a few days before because her candy bag had gone missing and now she would have to share it with the....cute boy. Right.
Charlotte argued with herself in her head about whether or not to let her horrible temper get the best of her, and the boy. Her other option was to push back her anger and mean words and just smile and shake the boy's hand. Then again, Char figured he probably had a girlfriend so did it really matter if she was nice to him? Like, did it really really matter?
Placing her hand in his to shake it, she semi-forced herself to give the boy a genuine smile and introduced herself. "Hey Kace, I'm...uh...Char." Even though Jun was the one that had chosen that nickname for her, she figured she'd just tell everyone else to call her that as well. Almost anything was better than Charlotte. Removing her hand from his, she picked up the candy bag and held out to him. "You can take whatever you'd like. I've got plenty." She stuck her lollipop back in her mouth and continued convincing herself that being nice and having friends was way better than being mean and alone. It wasn't like her parents wouldn't just send her more candy plus money for more candy in a week anyhow.

"Hey, singing and dancing for years might just pay off. And I'll be sure you send you a muffin basket if I debut as promised," Remember last term in the corridor? Yeah, Jun did and was gonna keep that promise. Now if he got time to send them and sneak off. But that program had eyes on you all the time. Kind of scary in a way.
Random question here.
"Oi, can we have a sleepover soon? It's overdue since the summer one," Because their friendship grew more then and it was plenty of fun. Yup, another one is needed soon.

Randomness was good sometimes. "Sure. No idea how that would work out here though..." Sure she'd snuck off grounds before and stuff but both the Head Boy and Girl were in her house and she couldn't expect Cassia and Theo to be that ignorant of their duties.

Kace gave the girl a quizzical look when she didn't reply right away. She seemed like she was starring in awe. He was just asking for a piece of candy. Then he heard her say her name after a minute of waiting. He smiled and said kindly, "Well nice to meet ya Char.." Oh? Now she got plenty of candy. He smiled at that and sat down next to her. He put his skateboard to the side and asked, "What kind of candy do you have? Do you have my favorite sour patch kids?" he asked. Hoping she knew what kind they were.

Hallie smiled politely and held herself with perfect posture while Coral asked all her questions. With a small laugh from behind her hand, she looked sincerely at the older girl. "Pardon us, we're very excited. We're new here and we absolutely love magical creatures."
She curled her hair behind her ear and tilted her head a little. "I'm Hallie and this is my twin sister," She paused here so Coral could say her own name, as usual. "What's your name? What year are you in?" She was older. Maybe she was a seventh year. Maybe she was seventeen already and could do legal magic all the time and is really smart and knows a lot of things. If so, Hallie would want to put her on her list of people to learn how to be like. She wanted to be the best one day - intellectual and graceful and beautiful and powerful and successful - so she needed to surround herself with people who could get her there. This girl was definitely beautiful and she was a Slytherin, which meant she was ambitious and resourceful. Meaning she could be very useful to learn from. How perfect.
Addi laughed. "I haven't forgotten. If I make a team, you'll have the best seats in the house." Because friend support was good. Even if she wasn't sure how this open tryout thing was going to go for stuff.

"Best seats are best," Jun grinned. And he'll have red hair to show Addi support. He promised that too, right? Well, something was going to be red from what he remembered. Most likely it was his hair.
"I'm sure we'll think something up. We can always have it in the room of requirements because of those new curfews," Which ruined everything. No one should be taking those threats so seriously until something actually happened. Who threatens kid athletes anyway? Losers did.

Finally! Someone who didn't only ask her for candy from the wizarding world! Charlotte had spent so much time packing her candy bag with all kinds of candy, especially since it was charmed to fit as much as she wanted, and all people ever wanted were chocolate frogs or fizzing things that Jun liked so much. Granted, Char looooved her lollipops, but it wasn't all she ate! "I doooo, thank you!" It was probably weird to be thanking someone when she was the one giving him the candy, so she figured she should clear things up. "You're one of the only people to ask for regular muggle candy!" It was about time!
Charlotte stuck her hand into the bag and seeaarched for something that felt like a sour patch kids bag. Eventually, she pulled it out and handed it to him. "Enjoy!" Candy friendships were the best of friendships.

"Nothing less than the best for one of my best friends." Addi grinned. Because that's what Jun was. A best friend. He had to be after that fun sleepover they'd had.
"Yeah. I think I know where it's at." Finding it and getting in there would be the fun part. Adelaide wrinkled her nose at the mention of curfews. "It's all so dumb and stupid."

"I approve of this very much," he grinned. Even if he didn't really play quidditch, Jun actually preferred to watch other people watch. No bets. He was just really bad at them. He'll definitely lose more than win. Oh well.
Oh, guess what? "It's only a few doors away from the bronze knocker. Just think it up and it'll appear," Bless that room. Especially when Jun didn't want to practice in the dorm. He really didn't need an audience when he was being serious. He nodded. "Pretty sure no one's been attack yet. But then again, it's a tad early in the term for that to happen," Like the aging last term. Shiver.
