Need to chat with Professor Fuller? In his office feel free to ask him questions, give feedback, or simply just chat! Be sure to knock on the door first. Once Professor Fuller says you can, come on inside!
When you walk in, you will see that eighty percent of the wall space is covered in built-in bookshelves, only a few of which have empty spaces. If you need a good book to read, Fuller is your man. There is a big, comfy, leather couch to your left, big enough to fit four people comfortably. Across the room, beside the large windows is Peirs' desk. Beside that is his fireplace that will most likely always be going if it's the least bit cold outside. Once you're invited in, please feel free to take a seat anywhere, take a look at the books or the paintings, or lay down on the floor. But always remember to respect Professor Fuller and his belongings.
OOC: As you can see, I don't have a waiting room/bench for visitors. If you want to talk to Fuller, just post in this thread, knocking on his door, and I'll post back when you can come in. =)

Professor Bellaire, glided down the halls towards the Charms professor's office. Funnily enough she had very few reasons to venture to this part of the castle for the last few years but she didn't have to think about it as her body effortlessly navigated towards the office. She had spent long enough calling this space her home.
The Transfigurations professor almost forgot to knock but she caught herself and did so.
How different did the office look now? Hmmm....

Piers had only been in his office for a few minutes when he heard a knock on his door. Normally he was just lazy and told whoever was at the door to come in, but since he was up this time Piers walked over to the door and opened it up to see one of his lovely coworkers.
"Sophia," he said pleasantly, if a bit surprised at her presence. "How are you today?" Piers smiled and stepped aside out of the doorway so she could come inside if she wanted to. He was always up for company and Sophia was alright.

Sophia offered Pierson a smile and walked right in. She was eager to see what he had down with the place. How much had it changed?....
A lot apparently but not drastically. For a young guy, Pierson's office had an old school feel and look to it. When she was here there was always a hint of coconut in the air and now it was gone.
She turned to look at him. "I brought you down some books I had been holding on to after transferring subjects. I figured they'd be more useful to you now."

As she stepped inside his office, Piers followed behind, not bothering to close the door. "Care for some coffee?" he asked while Sophia looked around. He assumed she was just comparing it to when the office was hers.
Oh, books? Piers raised his eyebrows, visibly pleased. "I love books, thank you. I'm sure they will be very helpful." Did she have them? Where were they? Piers was a Slytherin at heart, but he loved books as much as any Ravenclaw. Or more, perhaps.

Sophia turned to look at him and shook her head. She never got into the whole coffee thing. No she was more of a tea person, and she'd be visiting Bunz when she wanted to sit and have tea with a staff member.
"No thank you. I'm more of a tea sort of woman."
Sophia reached into her very tight pockets and pulled out the books one by one. In total there were four books. "Well of course they will be. I wouldn't be giving them to you otherwise."She didn't take a seat but instead circled the room once. "The place looks..nice."

Ah. Tea. Tea was good, but coffee was better most of the time. At that moment though, Piers didn't have his tea stocked up. Ah well.
Piers took the books from her, examining the cover of each one. He nodded. "They're great, thank you." He was always looking for more books to add to his shelves. Though he was running out of space... He may have to shuffle some things around.
Setting down the books, Piers glanced around his office a bit when Sophia commented on it. He leaned against his desk and crossed his arms. "Bit different than what you had?" he inquired, since he hadn't known what her office had looked like when Sophia taught Charms. There had been one term with a different teacher between them when the two Board of Governors had taught at the school. Boy, he was glad he had missed that term.

After spending hours in the library searching for answers to some of his Charms inquires, Simon decided to come ask the Charms Professor himself. With hands shoved into his pockets, he navigated the busy Hogwarts corridors until he found himself outside Piersie's - - I mean Professor Fuller's Office. He didn't know the Professor too well; however, he seemed like a nice enough person who would be more than happy to help out a student. Taking a deep breath, he knocked on the office door and waited.

With a big yaaaawn Piers took a moment to flop down onto his couch and relax. He had just closed his eyes for a minute... when he heard a knock on the door. He let out a sigh. Piers pushed himself off the couch and said "Come in!" loudly enough for whoever was behind the door to hear.
Then he moved over to his coffee pot to get it warmed up again.

It was time to talk to an adult. Erp. Derp. Well this should be fun....
He heard Professor Fuller ask him to come in and so Simon twisted the doorknob, pushed the door, and entered the room. "Hello Professor. How are you?" he asked with a shy smile. He gripped his backpack strap a little tighter. Okay, I can do this. "Sorry to disturb you but I have a couple of questions that I'd like to ask you. If now isn't a good time, I can come back later," offered Simon with a shy smile as he began to slowly retreat to the door.

When the door opened, Fuller turned his head to see a familiar face from his class. "Simon, isn't it?"Yeah, that was his name. "I'm doing well, thank you." He gave the kid a smile and poured himself a small mug of coffee. But then he noticed that the boy didn't really come in any further and perhaps looked a bit nervous.
"Now's as good of a time as any," he said with a wave of his hand. "Come on in, son." He wouldn't bite. Piers leaned against his desk and sipped his coffee, hoping the kid wouldn't be too shy. "Can I get you something to drink? Tea? Coffee? Water?" He was in a good mood.

Fuller remembered his name? His name?
Wowzers.
He was momentarily stupefied as his eyes widened at the thought that the Professor nailed his name on the first try. Woah. This guy was good. The Professors at his last school didn't know him by name. They had only referred to him as 'you' or 'young one'. It was a rather weird system.
He nodded in reply to Fuller at first. "Yeah, that's right," he replied as he started to feel slightly more comfortable with this Professor. He nodded when Fuller said he could come in further. Erm. Had he noticed Simon trying to carefully and masterfully sneak away? Yes. So instead of retreating back into the corner, he decided to take a seat on the couch. He rummaged through his backpack for his extra notebook.
Before he could ask his question, Piersie was already offering him a beverage. Merlin, he was really nice. Simon started to relax more. His shoulders stopped tensing up. "Uh water would be terrific please. Thank you, Professor." He paused briefly and figured that he should probably tell Piersie why he was here.
..... Well long story short....
"Professor, I'm interested in learning more about charms that can help the memory. I know that the Forgetfulness Charm can be used to remove memories, but is there a charm that can help someone remember their past? Or alter someone's memories? " asked Simon becoming rather serious. He had always been curious in memory ever since the accident a couple years ago. Their vehicle had slid out of control and had smashed into another vehicle on its left. Simon had been in the car with his parents. He and his father were fine; however, his mother started suffering from memory loss. He swore to her that he would help her regain those lost memories. He had to find a way through magic or science that would help him complete his task.

The charms professor noticed the kid relax a bit, but he didn't make a show of it. He didn't to embarrass him or anything. He simply nodded and poured the boy a glass of cold water and handed it to him before returning to lean against his desk. "No problem."
He continued to sip his coffee as the Slytherin began to explain why he was in his office and what he was looking for. Charms to help someone remember the past or to alter their memories? His brow furrowed a little as he wondered why someone so young would be asking about this. But he answered anyway. "As far as altering memories, there is the False Memory Charm, which allows the spell caster to give the subject a false memory, as the name suggests." That could lead to very messy situations, though. "As for improving memory, I believe the most efficient way would actually be a Memory Potion. When you're looking for personal improvements such as memory, vision, hair growing, et cetera, those would most often be found in the subject of potions." It was very difficult to create a charm to improve something that was in the brain, in the human system. Charms theory, man. It was intense stuff.
Fuller's brow furrowed again as he thought of this all. "May I ask what brought this on? Altering memories is a very dangerous thing to do, and often ends poorly. I would hope to think this is purely... curiosity." The kid was too young to be doing that kind of stuff.
Slytherindor ♛ The Crazytastic Besties ♛ Shan Watson ♛
"Thanks," said Simon as the Professor handed in a nice cold glass of water. He took a sip and then placed it down on the ground so that he could take notes. As Piersie began to speak again, he started coping down notes from the conversation. The False Memory Charm. Hm, that sounded as if it had the potential to go wrong. So he may have to go discuss this idea with the Potions Master too then, hey?
He closed his notebook when Fuller asked him why he was interested in this subject. "It is purely curiosity. I tend to enjoy pre-reading a lot," offered Simon rather sheepishly for he believed most people wouldn't own up to that fact. However, that wasn't the only reason why he wanted to know about the memory charms. He continued. "Also I've been interested in how memory works for quite a while," assured Simon. He paused, realizing that he should probably tell him more about it all. That was the safer option. Memory was a tricky thing.
He slipped his notebook back into the bag and picked up his glass of water. "You know the thestrals that you and Professor Thompson had in class the other day? I can see them because of a... terrible car accident." He paused and took another sip of the cold water to keep himself calm. He hadn't said any of this outloud before. He didn't know why he was telling Fuller this, but he felt as if Fuller would understand. He didn't know if he would. "My mother was the only one hurt in our car. She suffers from memory loss. I was wondering if there was a safe way to help her... but it seems like there isn't one." He sighed, letting his head drop a little.
Sardines ♥ BHB ♥ Dallie ♥ Grumpy ♥ MY SUN AND STARS ♥ i love julia
It was curiosity, good. Or, at least that's what he said. Simon seemed like a smart lad, so he'd take his word for it. He simply nodded at the boy's answer and sipped his coffee, wondering if he would expound on that... which he did, and then it all made quite a bit more sense.
"Ah," he said at first with a small frown. What a terrible thing to experience at such a young age, and now his mother had memory loss. Fuller could only imagine how difficult it was for a young son to cope with that. "Well," he said, setting his coffee cup down again, "The Fasle Memory Charm can be dangerous, yes. But the Memory Potion, if used in moderation, should be safe. I'm no potions expert, but potions like those are meant to help people, not hurt them. I suggest asking Professor Culloden for advice, just to be safe." He gave the student a hopeful smile, but he wished he could have helped him more than that.
Slytherindor ♛ The Crazytastic Besties ♛ Shan Watson ♛
He took another sip of water as he waited patiently for Fuller's response. Simon watched a frown appear on the Professor's face. His heart began to sink. Uh oh. There was going to be some bad news.......A lot of bad news. He bit his lip and fidgeted uncomfortably for a brief few seconds.
He stopped when he heard what Piersie had to say. He almost expected the Professor to say something else so he was surprised when he suggested to go speak to Professor Culloden for advice about the Memory Potion. He nodded his head a bit more cheerfully. "Alright, I shall. Thank you, Professor. It's hard not being able to help someone you love," he admitted as he began to feel much older than he was.
He quickly wrote down the Potions Professor's name in his notebook to make sure that he would go see him later on today or during the week. He slipped his notebook back into his backpack as he readied himself to leave when another question crossed his mind all of a sudden. "Professor, I also have another question. It's not related to my last one. Is it always this cold up here? I'm not from this country so I don't really know. I'm used to it being summer at this time of year," asked Simon. He had heard some people saying that it was chillier than usual; however, he wasn't sure if those people said that every year or if something else was happening with the weather pattern. Perhaps Fuller would know?

Fuller didn't know how old this kid was, but he seemed too young for this kind of stuff. He seemed rather mature for his age, too. He frowned and nodded at the boy's comment. "It is, yes." But at least he was going to go talk to Culloden. He was certain he would have better luck with him.
He was going to walk the boy to the door, since it seemed he was leaving now, but he stopped when Simon had another question. Ah, yes, the cold weather. "You know, this is starting to be a rather harsh winter. It came quite early, too, a lot colder than it normally is." He was getting COLD just thinking about it. "Looks like we'll be layering those sweaters quite a bit this winter," he added with a shrug. Eh. He'd deal with it.

He had to grow up quickly to take care of his sister. Despite having an older brother and father still in the picture, Simon noticed that they were very hands off with Allison so Simon always made sure to look out for her. They understood each other. Muggle and Wizard. Just two siblings keeping up with each other. He dismissed the thought as he sorely missed his younger sister.
Simon nodded and shivered slightly. It felt a tad bit chillier in the office when they were speaking about the weather. It was definitely going to be a bone chilling year. "Huh, interesting. Yes, it does," he said with a shy smile. Now he could go back to his Common Room and think about a good time to approach Professor Culloden.
"Um, thank you, Professor." He held out his hand outstretched in a handshake. It seemed like the thing to do. Sometimes when it came to social situations, the boy didn't know what to do at all and he felt as if he made a complete fool out of himself. Shrug. It happened quite a lot.
Okay. So Adelaide was going to take Flamsteed's suggestion and go talk to the Charms professor. Surprisingly she hadn't done this at all her past two years here. Probably because looking at Professor Pretty and trying to hold a serious conversation was going to prove to be difficult.
But she really needed to talk about her future. And Charms was the route she was looking to go in uni. Of course, Addi had a container of brownies. What kind of student would she be if she didn't bring goodies for the professors when she visited them? She knocked loudly on the door and waited, hoping he was inside.

When the student thanked him, Piers smiled and took the boy's hand in a firm shake. "Anytime, Simon." He cut in front of him so he could walk the Snake to the door. "And if you ever need anything, don't hesitate to stop by. I'm always here for homework help, or if you just need someone to talk to." He patted the boy on the shoulder and opened the door for him...
Oh, look. Another Slytherin.

Adelaide smiled wide at Professor Pretty. She gave the boy who was leaving a nod. She'd seen him around the common room and such. "Afternoon professor." She was going to have to remind herself not to slip up and call him Professor Pretty. That would be embarrassing.
"Yes please." Addi nodded at the boy, Simon. Once inside she looked around his office. And all those books. She should have come here sooner. She stepped towards the shelves, looking over the titles. She had had some of these in her library. Had being the key word there.

She still stood looking over the titles on the shelves. So many familiar ones. "Love books. I used to have a library of my own back at my old house." That was probably the most delicate way of putting things. But no need to get into that right now.

Tea it is!
Fuller scooted around his desk and took a moment to heat up the tea quickly while she looked at all the books on his shelves. "Well, feel free to borrow any of them anytime. As long as you bring them back, of course." He was nice, but he was also a Slytherin. Slytherins who liked books didn't often return them to their owners.
"Here's your tea," he said, scooting a hot cup across his desk for her. He sat down on his comfy chair behind it and crossed one leg over the other. "What can I do for you today?"

Adelaide looked away from the books back at Fuller. "Thanks. And of course I'd bring them back. I'm the same way with my books." She was very choosey who she lent them too. Couldn't let them get ruined or disappear on her.
She walked over to his desk. "I made these if you want some." Addi showed him the plate of brownies and set them down on his desk. She grabbed her cup of tea. "Thank you." She took a sip before speaking. "I've been thinking about furthering my study with charms in uni next year." That should show she was looking for suggestions or something.
