From the first floor, Professor Hadley leads the way down to the kitchens where we'll get started with the main portion of the lesson, which is very hands-on (basically meaning that discussion shall happen whilst you work!)
Spread out on each of the five tables are various workstations that were pre-set before you arrived. By each workstation consisted of: a pizza stone and french rolling pin. Along with various food items: a jar of red pasta sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, olive oil, garlic salt, dried oregano, sugar, yeast, salt, and flour. And of course measuring spoons and cups, along with the necessary bowls.
"First things first, we need to make the dough. Now I don't normally recommend using magic in this class, but I'll make an exception for getting the necessary amount of water, you may use the aguamentis charm."
"Which ingredients do you think we need at your workstation for making the dough?"
Lesson Progression {for this thread anyway}
Answers for above and recipe for making dough! Go make your dough now /nopunintended
Dough has risen.... moving onto the kneading, though more discussion as we do; why do we add garlic salt and oil to the dough?
Finishing touches on pizza prep: sauce, cheese, toppings, etc. You have about 8-10 hours from the time of the post to get the pizzas ready and in the oven ;D
And pizzas are done! Eat and enjoy! Don't forget to save a sample for the Professor so you can get credit =)

"I'll go ahead and put the pizza in, Jasmine," Cris volunteered as he picked up the large pizza spatula, inserted it under the pizza pan and then lifted it up. Carrying it carefully over to the oven, he placed the pan inside, tilting the spatula down at one end to allow the pan to slowly slide off and land on the oven rack.
"All done. I guess we now get to enjoy cleaning up. I'll clean up the utensils and the table top," Cris informed Jasmine as he collected up everything. He was about to cast the Scouring Charm when he realized he was attending a Muggle Studies lesson. Was magic allowed?
"Professor can we use magic to clean up or do we have to do it the good old fashioned muggle way, with soap and water?" Cris raised his hand to ask Professor Hadley.

Mhm. Yep. This was definitely embarrassing. The dough had started making it's way unto Zander's face as he realized that Hadley had noticed him and his, er, mess. Oops. Next time he'd just stick to eating the pizza. Obviously this whole cooking thing wasn't working out... This is officially the last time Professional Pizza Tosser Zander works with pizza. He's retiring. It was a short, but beautiful reign.
Anyways... Sanitation charm? Okieee! Zander did his best to get all the dough out of his hair and then looked up at Hadley as she asked him if he needed anymore help, "Oh no Professor! I think I got it from here," .... hopefully. He took out his wand and "Scourgify"ed his dough. Once his dough looked relatively sanitary, he'd have to move on to the next part. He didn't really have any time to roll out his dough again, so he'd just have to stick with the new- weird shape it took on.
Zander reached over and dipped a big spoon into the tomato sauce. He began spreading it all over his pizza, but left the edges dry so that they'd become nice and crusted. Now for the CHEESE! Zander measured out half a cup and spread it all over, but it didn't seem like NEARLY enough. So he took another half a cup, heh, and CHEESED his pizza properly. Yes good. Now for the BACON! And some spinach too because spinach is good for the soul or something like that.
Then he ran up to the table near to chalkboard to grab one of the oven resistant papers. He wrote his name in big letters across it and flagged off his pizza. Nobody would probably want to eat his anyways... It landed on his head, after all. Anyways, OVEN TIME!
After sticking it into the oven, he began cleaning. Blegh. AND OH NO! Uh oh. Hadley wanted a peice of his pizza? His contaminated pizza? Granted, he had cleaned the dough, BUT STILL. What if it gave her some deadly disease or something!? .... Hadley, you sure you want a slice?

Hearing a question, Josephina looked over and just smiled.
"You used muggle toppings, didn't you?" she asked instead. "So why wouldn't you do things the muggle way in terms of cleaning?" You know. Just saying and all.

Pizza in the oven time! Adi grabbed the huuuge spatula and carefully balanced his pizza on it. Slowly, he set it in the oven, tilting and pulling out the spatula so that the pizza settled in the oven.
And now came the part he disliked the most. Cleaning up. But it must be done so the boy set to work washing all the utensils he had used, cleaning his work area so that it was clean just as it was when he arrived there. All without magic of course.
There was something else he needed to so...oh yeah! Get plates.

The blonde every now and then looked up and saw that Lottie was working with that slytherin idiot. Not only was he an idiot in general, he was acting even more of an idiot and being annoying and obnoxious. See, this is why Lottie should've worked with her favorite gryffindors. Not sorry.
Seriously, the guy was annoying. Sooooo Tag got a couple of black olives and tossed them at the back of his head. That should shut him up. Honestly.
Anyway, could they put it in the oven themselves or were they going to have to wait? Nope. Tag wasn't going to wait, he went over to the oven and carefully placed his pizza inside it.

Seriously, Mr. Whitlock? Lottie smiled, "Several times," and added a wink because WHY NOT, right? It was entirely and completely the TRUTH, now the wink was a bit unnecessary but, you know, there's a certain something about Slytherins that make it all so casual. Except Theodore Kinsley.
"Excellent!" See, they were getting along so well, except... yo, how about NO? Yes to extra cheese, but no to mushrooms. "No mushrooms. On my side, anyway. Extra cheese is fine."Nod, nod, nod. Didn't matter that she sounded a bit bossy, aaaaactually, because she wanted no mushrooms. She still gave him an encouraging smile.
So, she was watching him spread the sauce around, and at one point actually guided his hand with her own, sorry, it has to be perfect. Until...
...well, that was interesting.
VERY INTERESTING.
Oh, sweet Merlin. She started to laugh. Clearly, that was the best possible reaction, because... WHAT EVEN? That was not exactly appropriate.
She would have joined in the singing, but she only sang with two people, and no, Grayson, you're not one of those two. That didn't mean she couldn't hum along with him, though. So, she did that. And added a biiiit more of cheese just because. Her smile still in place as she shook her head. Unbelievable. He could've chosen any other song. But nooooo.
Also, nooooo mushrooms, remember that. And no olives either.
Where did those olives come from, by the way? The ones that almost hit her??? Thank you, for that, but we don't want anyone else's toppings.
The next time anyone called Grayson Whitlock dumb or a bad decision maker, he was going to point them to this moment right here. Why? Because he had chosen a GOOD partner. Someone who KNEW what she was doing and wasn't likely to start a fire. "Looks like I picked wisely." Not that he had much of a choice buuuuuuuuut he was going to go along with this train of thought.
Oh. IF somebody started a fire, this Slytherin wouldn't have any complaints. Juuuuuuuuuuust saying.
No to mushrooms? "Gotcha," Grayson nodded and started spreading mushroom on HIS side of the pizza, which was going to be half of the pizza. And if Lex messed up her pizza, she'd better like mushrooms too. Since new girl said yes to extra cheese, the boy grabbed some of the cheese and started spreading that aaaaaaaaaall the way arouuuuuuuuuund the pizza.
He hadn't minded the guiding around, just like he hoped she hadn't minded the singing. He might have even smirked when she started laughing -- because the girl wasn't laughing at HIM, of course -- and even singing and was about to wink at her when.....................
.......................... olives. It was raining olives.
What in the name of merlin?!
"OW!" he whispered loudly, rubbing the back of his head where a particularly large olive had hit it. Turning around, he scanned the room for the source of the olive pelting but........ found nothing there. Or no-one there. Because it was from a PERSON. Uh huh. Didn't people know not to waste their food? And, to prove a point, Grayson picked up a stray olive that had landed on the pizza and popped it into his mouth. THEN, he looked around at people again. Watchin you, haters.
Speaking of pizza, weren't they a little behind? HMMMMMMMM? The fourth year turned around again and picked up the pizza. "Off to the oven it goes!" And he went. To the oven. To put it in there using that very large pizza spatula. This was done carefully, of course, because the last thing he wanted to do was burn anything. And the pizza had to turn out to be perfect, mkay?

Lux was so happy that Bay made theirs a pepperoni pizza because that was her favourite kind. Could they be any more in sync.
Using the large pizza spatula, she carefully placed the pizza in the oven so that it could cook and be ready for them to eat soon. "This pizza is going to be so yummy." She couldn't wait to taste it.

Okay, yeah. He understood. Lot of science behind cooking, huh? Poor Muggles have to do so much work for easy stuff magic can used for, but maybe that's why he finds the pizzas made by Muggles more delicious? All that hardwork.
Declan thought about tossing his pizza up into the air, but eventually settled on leaving that to the professionals. He'll have to use his big, strong hands to knead the dough.
Good, good. Looks like he'll have a pretty puffy and thick crust. After pricking his dough all around with his fork, he added the olive oil and sprinkled around the garlic salt as told.
Awww yeaaaah time to sauce up this pizzaaaa! Dec used his artistic skills to 'paint' the sauce onto the pizza. MUAH! THAT IS A-BEAUTIFUL-A-PIZZA! He may or may have not added more cheese then told totally did to his pizza. He likes a cheesy pizza okay? And he was the only one making this pizza, so he didn't think it would matter.
What kind of pizza to make? Pfft, no question, a meaty one! The Hufflepuff walked over to where the ingredients were and picked out three: Pepperoni, Ham, and Barbecued Sausage. Bam, that was going to be an awesome protein filled pizza.
He walked back to his station, added the meats, and topped it off with the oregano, wrote his name on the paper, stuck it in the center, and then popped that beautiful masterpiece into the oven. Awwwwww yiiiissssss. It was like a dream come true. Now, he must clean in order to enjoy his pizza in peace.

"Professor can we use magic to clean up or do we have to do it the good old fashioned muggle way, with soap and water?" Cris raised his hand to ask Professor Hadley.
Cris said that he would put the pizza in the oven and then handled the job like a pro. "You look like you've done this before. Have you been holding out on me Cris?" Once the pizza was in the oven, Jasmine said, "I guess all we have to do now is wait for it to finish baking."
While Cris handled the cleaning duties, Jasmine went to get some plates. Once she had retrieved them she put them on the counter and looked to see how she could help Cris. Seeing that he was busy washing the utensils, Jasmine grabbed a cloth and wiped down the counter. The pizza should be ready soon and the aroma was very tempting. Jasmine could not wait to test their creation.

Watching her place the pizza in the oven almost gave him a heart attack.. was that thing like super hot?? grinding his teeth he waited until she was finished and phew…. she was done and she was moving away from the hot box thingy.. "alright.. now you relax while I clean our station" she had almost risked her life by going near the thing at least he could do was clean.
Going over to the sink Bay grabbed a cloth and rinsed it in hot water while adding some soap to it.. leaving it there he quickly grabbed his tools and brought them to the sink to clean them.. once washed and rinsed he laid them on a dry towel. cleaning off the cloth he rinsed it and added more soap and went over to their station and again sanitized the whole surface.
He brought back the cloth and grabbed a dry one and wiped down the surface to make sure it was all dry.. he then pulled a seat up after he was finished and his stomach was growling even more.. "so how long do we need to wait for it to finish… errrrrr.. cooking?" he asked her.

Yep that's what he figured when Professor Hadley took the time to reply to his question. He gave her mock salute, "Aye...aye Professor. KP duty it is," Cris told his Muggle Studies Professor as he holstered his wand. Then he began stacking the used utensils into the bowls they had used. Using his hand, he scraped the remaining flour and bits of dough off the worktable into the bowls before carrying everything over to the wash basin.
Cris loved washing up. So he made a quick job of it. Filling the wash bad in with soap and water, he washed up everything before taking a dry cloth to wipe them dry. Noticing that Jasmine had helped to wipe down the surface of the table both he and Jasmine had used, he smiled gratefully at her. "Thanks for helping out partner," Cris thanked her.
Now that everything was cleaned, he washed up the cloth before hanging it out to dry. Wiping his hands dry, he joined Jasmine and waited for their pizza to bake. All that preparation had made him very hungry.

Watching Bay clean sounded like a good idea to Lux. Not that she was against cleaning - because she wasn't - but sitting down for a few minutes was nice. He was doing a good job, which was awesome because they weren't using magic in a Muggle Studies lesson. Everything was more authentic this way.
Once Bay was done cleaning, Lux grabbed some plates and set them out before sitting down again. "I think we wait about ten minutes or so." Surely Professor Hadley would tell them when it was time to take the pizza out.
Kace looked up and noticed the professor moved on. He managed to get the huge spatula and got his pizza on it. He was very careful and balanced it well and then put it in the oven! Success!! He was so excited to eat it. Now onto the big task, was cleaning. Merlins beard. He didn't know how messy cooking could get. He had flour all over the place. He got a wet rag and cleaned it off. He whistled while he worked. Then he cleaned off his utensils in the sink and then once he was done. He got a plate for himself and waited for his pizza to cook. He could smell all the delicious smells and it made his stomach rumble.

All she needed to accomplish now would be to not burn herself. The task seemed simple enough, but you could never be sure with AJ. She grabbed the huge spatula and scooped her pizza up and placed it into the oven. Did she have to time it herself? Because she wasn't the best at keeping track of the time and all. She managed to not burn herself. 10 points to Gryffindor, no?
Looking at her workstation it was apparent that one could not make pizza and not make a mess. She slowly but surely cleaned up her area. How much time had passed now? Crap. She had a feeling that burnt pizza was in her future.
Simon continued jotting down notes quickly about the roles of sugar and salt when it came to pizza making. Interesting, he'd have to remember that for when he made pizza outside of class. When Candice asked him if he could do the rolling of the dough and if she could do the next part, he nodded. That seemed fair. To him, the best way to achieve a goal was to divide the work and conquer. "Of course, I'll get started on it now," he said as he picked up the dough out of the bowl and the rolling pin at the workstastion. He began rolling at the dough. Thinner crusts were always better.
He grinned. "Okay, now your turn, partner. What toppings do you want on here?" he asked. It was good to know what flavours she liked so that they could mix and match in order to make sure that every flavour worked.
Candice turn her attention to Simon when he started to roll the pizza dough. Simon definitely had a lot of experiences with pizza dough because he didn't seem have any trouble at all with the rolling pin.
Oh. Its her turn? Cool. What toppings she want? "Pepperoni! Definitely Pepperoni." You can't have Pizza without Pepperoni. But first thing first. Candice grabbed a fork and pricked their pizza dough a few times. Then its time to drizzle it with olive oil and garlic salt.
Drizzle. Drizzle. Drizzle.
Now, its time to sauce up their pizza. The first year began to spread the sauce all over their pizza. Then she added CHEESE. Next she added some Pepperoni and mushroom. Because mushroom taste good. She hoped her partner liked mushroom. Now their pizza was ready to be put in the oven. Candice grabbed the huge spatula and carefully put their pizza on it. "On the oven you go." Bye bye, Pizza dough. Now they need to wait again.
Maybe she should start cleaning her workstation. SIGH.

Simon grinned at the topping she picked. Phew! He liked those toppings as well so it seemed as if it were a win-win situation for both of them. He watched the first year continue to prepare the pizza carefully. She was such an adorable dedicated ickle lion! He was happy to see Candice take charge of several of the pizza toppings and other activities for a change. They were a good team. "Awesome job! Thanks!" he said, trying his best to be supportive. See? She was going to be an expert pizza maker in no time.
With the pizza in the oven, Simon made eye contact with Candice. "I'll start cleaning up. You relax?" he offered, feeling quite bad that she had done the majority of the past few steps. He grabbed a sponge, filled it with soap and water, then squeezed it out, and then he began scrubbing the workstation. Simon needed to get all of this dry dough off of the counter before it set! Cleanliness was important to him.
After a couple of minutes, their workstation was pretty much clean. He turned to Candice. "How does it look to you, partner?"
Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite
So then....................the pin wasn't for beating at the dough until it submitted itself to her and became whatever shape she wanted? Now that was a pity right there. How else was she meant to make it into anything more than a lump of dough that would be hard to bite into when baked? Not to mention how hard it would be to add the toppings. Lex gave a small nod to the Professor and lowered the pin for a moment so she could observe the others. They must have had the right idea because most were already getting their pizza's into the oven. Merlin she was behind wasn't she????
Alexa put the rolling pin flat horizontal against the lump of dough and tried her luck at rolling. Man, this was have been good for developing beater's arms but she didn't need those anymore thanks to the idiot that threatened the school. Ugh.
She rolled and rolled until her arms felt like mush and the dough was flat at which point she began picking at the edges. It only seemed natural...you know...so the cheese and toppings didn't run off while it was baking, plus she liked it kinda thick at the end. Lex looked to Lottie and Grayson again, then the Professor who'd said something about the sauce. She WOULD have simply dumped some on til it was drowning in the stuff but after the spray she was beginning to think moderation was the key so she spread just enough to cover it before adding...the cheese.....because that's what a lot of people were doing so why not?
Usually she was all for free thinking but when she didn't know what she was doing, the majority ruled and right now the majority was getting themselves toppings. After seeing Grayson's reaction she would forget the chocolate sooooooo..........pepperoni, chunks of bacon and chunks of what could have been barbequed chicken because Alexa was a carnivore and this made all the sense in the world. Who didn't love a 'meat lovers' pizza? Exactly.
After being sure she'd LOADED her pizza with all this meat she looked around again for some indication as to HOW she would get this into the oven without burning herself. By magic Grayson had found a large flat spoon thing!!! Where did she get one--oh...over there....right. She knew that. Lex grabbed one and headed back to her table where she stuck one of those special papers with her name on it then hoisted pizza up and into the oven. THERE. DONE. Now when did they eat?

Looks that way, Grayson Whitlock. Lottie wouldn't say anything about it, other than adding a wink after his words, but was that even a proper reply? Technically, Hadley had picked him for her. And the sixth year had decided to pick her dough and give his to Lex. You literally didn't have a say in this whatsoever, Whitlock.
It's all a matter of luck, perhaps.
HALF! Didn't she say three quarters? Granted, they had to save a piece of it for Hadley, apparently, so they'll just take one that has both mushrooms and pepperoni. That way, everyone wins.
Except Grayson.
He was attacked by olives. Which caused no harm, really, how dramatic. "What? Did it hurt you? That's impossible." Yet she did brush her fingers against the back of his neck, and his hair a liiiiittle bit, and found no traces of any harm at all. "You're entirely fine. You have survived olives, pizza boy."Wink. Just because it was olives what they saw didn't mean something else couldn't have been thrown as well. Hence why she checked.
Before the pizza got in the oven, she scribbled their names quickly, and added the toothpick at the center.

"We split the cleaning, since we both worked on pizzas." Pizzas, plural, because he had part of Lex's now. Also, she had a feeling Hadley would point out the fact that one of them was cleaning and the other was not. Lottie would've made him clean, no doubt. And she heard the no-magic rule too (pretty much), so... the muggle way, then.

Oh, wait...
He was actually perfectly fine with the extra addition, in fact he was actually adding pepperoni to the other half of the pizza as well. Josette smiled and nodded in agreement, "I-It does look good.." Wonder what it would look like after it had finished baking in the oven. She watched as he lifted his hand for....OH a high five. Their pizza is gonna be awesome...and Josette giving back his high-five with her own made him forget about their creation for a moment. "Stop being cute!" Smiling in self-amusement, she pulled the oven door(s) open. "Alright, carefully use the large pizza spatula to put your pizza into the oven. We have about ten to fifteen minutes so let's do two things; first, let's clean up our work areas and second, get some plates. Her question hadn’t been answered, yet Lily didn’t really mind. It had almost been a rhetorical question anyhow, and therefore it had been Professor Hadley’s decision whether or not it had needed an answer. Maybe they weren’t really going into the fine details of pizza making, like gourmet pizzas. Although as she’d finished putting the last few pieces of pineapple and ham onto her pizza, she’d looked around at some of the others’. There definitely looked like some gourmet pizzas were being made. At the very least, there were some unconventional pizzas. She just had to focus on her own, and she hoped it was okay that she went normal. It was Muggle Studies, so going Muggle didn’t seem to be an issue. But lack of creativity might be, and she’d started to worry. In the end, though, taste won out over massive creativity, and she’d kept to her plan. Hawaiian pizza it was, and if she was lucky, it would taste good.
They’d finally been instructed as to how to put their pizzas into the oven. The smile the professor had on her face was awfully curious, but comments hadn’t been made. Whatever it was must not have been important. Getting her pizza into the oven definitely was, though, and she’d stepped forward once a pizza peel was available. Time to load hers up, and once the pan was balanced, she’d slid the peel into the oven and tilted it to slide the pizza off. Now all that was left was to wait. To wait and to clean, apparently, so she’d gathered her mixing supplies once she’d returned to her workstation and went to wash them all, Muggle-style. Potions cleaning was easier, but she knew how to wash dishes. Once those were done she’d dried them with a towel and wet a sponge to clean her workstation. A few minutes later, that was finished as well and she returned the sponge to the sink.

After putting her pizza into the oven with the large pizza spatula, Leah began cleaning up her work area. Eww. Look at all those disgusting leftover ingredients. And what did they need the plates for? Professor Hadley was going to grade their pizzas? Wow. "Scourgify," the second year said absent-mindedly at her work area, cleaning up some flour, and thought what her Head of House would say about her creation.

WOOT! Almost done now!
Spatula? Which one was the spatula?! Whaaaaaa. Glancing around, Sophie noted which utensil a few others picked up, so she picked up the same one. Looking at it, she could see where it made sense to use that particular utensil. Mmkay. Moving along now.
She carefully put her pizza into the oven then left it to cook. Sophie returned to her work area and began putting things back where they belonged and washing off her work area. She threw away the trash then went to collect a plate. It was almost eating time, wasn't it?!
Sophie was really hungry now. There was something about making your own food that made you really hungry. She guessed it was just waiting all this time watching all these ingredients.
Okay, ready to eat over here, Hadley! Well, as soon as the pizza came out the oven...
Cutty was sprinkling oregano onto his pizza when Hadley had given them their next instructions. With the large, long-armed pizza spatula, Cutty carefully lifted his pizza and slid it into the oven. The little post that he'd pinned to the center of his pizza fell over as he drew out the spatula a little lopsidedly.
He saw as Hadley instructed one of her students to clean up the muggle way. That had probably been what she'd wanted all along, but he stared at the two bowls, measuring tools, and stirring spoons and dreaded the familiar feeling of washing dishes. From a single-parent household in a muggle district, Cutty knew how to do this. He gathered up the smaller tools he'd used and placed them in the bowls, which he had stacked. Locating clean linens, he grabbed a kitchen rag and wiped down the surface on which he had been working. It took sooo much more than a single stroke before it even looked clean. When it was finally free of flour, spilled oil and stray pizza sauce, he carried his dishes over to the sink, pre-rinsed them and scrubbed them with a sponge. Cutty ran them under water to rinse them clean and grabbed another clean, dry linen to dry them. He only had 15 minutes before the Pizzas would be done. He figured he'd better do what he needed to do.

Smiling in self-amusement, she pulled the oven door(s) open. "Alright, carefully use the large pizza spatula to put your pizza into the oven. We have about ten to fifteen minutes so let's do two things; first, let's clean up our work areas and second, get some plates. Before you consume your pizza, I must ask that you cut me a small slice from your pie and leave the names of those who worked on it next to it, as I will need it for part of your participation grades today." You know, depending on how well they came out and all. It wouldn't be a fail, of course, if it tasted horrible, but she did still need to assess the quality.
ooc: put your pizzas in the oven. clean up your workstations. we'll eat in about 4-4.5 hours and then wrap this baby up =)
Initially, something Hadley said had caused Cutty to freeze in place. She was going to try their pizzas. Still carrying one of the bowls he was drying, he approached the Muggle Studies Professor. "Professor Hadley, would it be possible to grade my pizza without tasting it? Maybe by texture and the way it smells? Mine fell on the floor, you see. But I didn't want to have to wait another 45 minutes for new dough. I was hoping no one would notice." He lied like breathing, but she was NOT ingesting his potion. NOT allowed. That was for specific purposes and he'd already potioned enough Professors, thank you.
Angel's movements to retrieve toppings was enough of an answer to his suggestion. Ben in turn moved to straight up his work area. They might not be in potion class, but that didn't mean they couldn't be tidy. He watched as the first year returned, sprinkling on each of the three topics she had picked.
It seemed it would be a spicy pizza, the chili peppers going first. Though the pineapple would help cool it down with a touch of sweetness. So far it wasn't TOO bad. However he had to fight to make a face when the anchovies were added as the final touch. "Yum...interesting" he managed to get out, not wanting to make Angel feel bad.
"So okay...final steps." The older boy adding the oregano that had been made available. This Benny added on top of everything before retrieving a toothpick and the fireproof paper on which he scribbled both their names.
There...one pizza to bake.
Angel looked at Benny. "That is great!" Angel wondered what he thought of the whole thing but she decided against asking in case he thought that the whole thing was crazy and that she was such a loser for picking the toppings, maybe she should have let him pick but she couldn't tell it now.
Angel smiled at her friend as she started to clean up, she was doing it the muggle way because well that was very important, she wanted to show the Professor that she loved house work sometimes unless she was missing her favourite T.V show.
Sticking her pizza into the oven Beverly almost let the oven door slam shut. They were supposed to clean without magic? It was a joke, wasn't it? Glancing around at her classmates, Beverly only believed it wasn't a joke when her gaze landed on Cutty Mordaunt. He was cleaning...without the use of magic.
Wrinkling her nose Beverly gathered all of the dishes and utensils she had used and placed them in the sink. She wasn't enjoying this. At all. This what elves were for, after all. She'd have a story to tell her dad, and he might even send an angry letter. Then again, Phabian Wayne was a reasonable man, and she WAS in Muggle Studies so...he might just pat her on her back and tell her to do it right.
Scrubbing the dishes and silverware clean, Beverly set them to dry, then turned toward her work area. Grumble-mumble. That needed cleaning too. BOO. At home she did not have to do any of this. House elves were always on top of their tasks, so cleaning was never an essential thing. Just when it came to potions, but that was an entirely different subject.
When that was done, the youngest Wayne proceeded to getting some plates (she knew where they were because she's been here and...stuff), and for the meantime wrote her name on a tag for grading. Lucky Hadley was, she got to eat a lot of pizza today. Bev got wondering, was this all a ruse to get them to bake for her and save her time? HMM?
