Nola peered into a compartment, the third one since she boarded the train, searching for no one in particular. The eleven year old tapped a few times on the window before she slid the door open and poked her head in. "Are you going to sleep all the way to Hogwarts?" She asked. Nola was buzzing with excitement and was extremely close to bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet. Seriously though, how could anyone sleep on a train going to what Nola had heard was one of the greatest places on earth?
Tap tap. Leah sat up straight and looked towards the doorway. A young girl was outside, probably wanting to come in. "I don't know, I am quite tired, but I can't resist the cauldron cakes at the food trolley." she grinned. "Would you like to come in? I'd prefer company and if someone to wake me up at lunchtime if I fall asleep." she waved at the seat opposite her.
"I'm Leah, second year Puffer." She introduced herself, so that she was no longer a stranger to the other girl anymore, and hopefully made her more comfortable.

"I don't mind....as long as you don't annoy us"
Maybe that sounded a tad mean. Shrug. Nigel could never deal with younger kids. Especially ones named Ruby and Zahra.

And Nigel wasn't helping their cause at all. He just let the kid sit there. He got a glare, which probably was misconstrued as something else because of his attractive face. Sometimes being this good looking was a struggle.
His eyes flickered to the kid, "Couldn't find a compartment?"
Annoy them? Kyroh made a face as he thought, his nose wrinkling in the process. "I don't know how I'd do that....but i'll try not to!" Grinning he slipped fully into the compartment and closed the door.
WINDOW!
Rushing over the boy plopped down into the seat next to the window beside the first guy who answered him. The one with the long hair. Weird. His head turned to look out the window but then the other guy spoke. "Uh nooo. I found a whole bunch. The train is loaded with them." Like..duh? "Shouldn't you know that already?" The boy was like...old. "Or is this your first time riding the train too?" Kyroh bounced in his seat, if it WAS he had done an excellent job finding an empty compartment. "All the other ones I found were all full though." Which was why he was here really.

Cauldron cakes did sound good. "You don't want to miss the ride though." Nola said as she shut the compartment door. "I'm Nola. A first year, though I'm sure you already figured that out." Nola smiled. She sat down across from Leah and looked out the window.
"You know, I haven't many many people that aren't in Hufflepuff." Nola mentioned. Well. That was sorta true. She hadn't met too many people, but they were mostly Hufflepuff regardless. "Buster and I think that means that I'm going to be in Hufflepuff too." She nodded her head. Buster was usually right about things like that, even if he was a cat.

Abby smiled at Ana and said "Yeah i am looking forward to Hogwarts thanks Ana, i am looking forward to seeing the castle" Abby thought that Ana was nice and hoped that many of the other Hogwarts students were just as nice
"Well, you'll certainly be impressed by it. The castle is great, as are the grounds," Ana informed Abby, giving her a polite, if not warm, smile. Ana herself hadn't been all that keen on seeing what Hogwarts was like when she started last year, not thinking that it would be too much different from any of the other schools she'd been forced to transfer to.
Oh good. There weren't many students yet which meant Jun could travel around the train with ease. For now, at least. Looking into all the compartments, he frowned. No wonder the corridors where empty. Everyone had already snagged compartments. Ugh. With his ferret on his shoulder, Jun kept walking around and looking for one that was at least somewhat empty. Finding one, he opened the door, walked in, and slid it closed.
"Mind if I join you? Too many are almost full," And he didn't do well with crowded, small, places. Like Char.
Kace was sitting in his compartment and he noticed someone came in. He didn't even sneak in. Huh? He must have been so into his drawing phase. He nodded and gestured toward the seat in front of him. "Sure." he replied. He hadn't seen this guy before. He wondered where he could have been in Hogwarts.
He asked him as a conversation starter, "So are you new to Hogwarts?"
For anyone! Nicholas is a home-school transfer, he needs friends!

Soren Gray was in the habit of cutting an intimidating figure wherever he went, be it striding into a boardroom full of hostile rivals or posing for a photographer of the latest business magazine. Given this, he would no doubt be a tad apoplectic at his son's less-than-graceful lunge into the first free compartment he found.
Once the door was safely closed, Nicholas let out his pent-up anxiety in the form of a huff of air and went about erecting a (rather shoddy) barricade out of his trunk and other assorted belongings. They could throw him on the train, but they couldn't make him socialize. He hadn't signed up for this, after all. If it weren't for his father coming to the (in his opinion, unfair) conclusion that Nicholas was well on the path to becoming a loafer-wearing shut-in, Nicholas would be comfortably at home and starting his fourth term of home schooling. Instead he was here, on a train full of strangers travelling to a place full of strangers and, if the Daily Prophet were to be believed, strange happenings.

He asked him as a conversation starter, "So are you new to Hogwarts?"
Once the blonde boy accepted, Jun slid into the seat opposite him. Thank Merlin for this boy. No one wanted to go out there. Not with all those little devils and creatures. Jun made himself comfortable as the boy asked him a question. "Nope. Was here last term," And what a tragedy it was. Please let this term be somewhat normal. But Merlin knew that was never the case. Looking at the boy, Jun noticed he had a drawing pad. Sweeeeet.
"I'm guessing you're a drawer?" he nudged towards the sketch pad.

With a innocent smile, Abbi looked at the younger girl and nodded abruptly. "Thank you....?" A name maybe? Cause she was clearly new and clearly a firstie from her height and all. You could tell immediately.
Maybe if she started the introductions the girl would warm up some? Worth a try.
"I'm Abbi. Third year, Gryffindor." Smiley wiley. SEE. Her company was jovial. "You? Or well what house do you want to be in?"
"Uh uh." Maybe if she ignore the older girl she would go away.
Yeah no such luck the girl still there. Luck was not her friend today apparently.
Third year? "I'm Candice. First year." Obviously. What house she wants to be in?"Not Hufflepuff." She told the older girl before adding "Not that I have anything against them." Her brother was one. She just want to make a name for herself but she didn't need to tell Abbi that. But if that old hat decided to put her in Hufflepuff that she had to accept that. Let's hope its not going to happen.

"Well, it's nothing to worry about. You just put the sorting hat on your head and it tells you what house you'll be in," Ana informed Addy. She hadn't known how people were sorted last year either, although being older and having gone through a few different sorting ceremonies Ana hadn't been nervous or worried about it.

"I don't have much sense of direction unless I'm outside. Strangely I can find my way around pretty easily when out in the open even if I've not been there often before. The castle can be tricky though because some staircases move." Ana thought that she should add that in as the other girl, as a first year, obviously wouldn't know about that fact,

And he'd misplaced his lunch somewhere.
"How lovely."
Of course, the important task of finding sweets came before finding a compartment, since her mother had refused to give her any from home because she'd get too hyper. It hadn't been so bad though, since wizards had THE coolest sweets ever.
Sinead had bought as many as she could afford and then stuffed them in her backpack. Now, this was the time to find a compartment. Unfortunately, the queue for sweets had been very long and it seemed everyone had sat down while she was waiting. Now where could she sit?!
Most people sat in groups or pairs and she couldn't just INTRUDE on their potentially vitally important conversations! So when she came across an older boy sitting all on his own, she grinned happily!
Just as she was pushing open the door to get in, she heard him comment on something being lovely. "What's lovely?" she asked, taking a seat opposite him. He wouldn't mind her sitting down. Otherwise he'd be lonely! And nobody should be lonely, that was horrible.
"Hi, I'm Sinead!" she added, remembering the manners her mam always went on about. "Who are you? What year are you in? Is Hogwarts good?"
Before she could decide whether they could be friends, she needed to know about him! Like if he was mean, she would have to find somewhere else.

Ana was of the opinion that knowing about the staircases really wouldn't do too much to allay the shock of them actually moving while you were on them but she'd let the child think whatever she wanted. "So Abby, do you know what house you want to go into?" Ana asked, crossing her legs gracefully as she settled in for a conversation.

Cris had to admit he knew how it felt to go to a place not knowing anyone and was actually relieved to know that he would have Sander's friends here at Hogwarts.
He perked up when Jasmine mentioned that she had visited family in California. "You have family in California? Which part?" he quickly asked her. "My family and I have been there a couple of times. I especially love San Diego because of its Sea World and its Zoo and the Wildlife Park. The Muggle Creature Parks there are great," he told Jasmine immediately thinking about the sealife and animals at the creature parks.
Cris then bumped fists with Bay and grinned when Bay agreed with him on his dislike of cucumber sandwhiches. He smiled when Bay introduced Ziggy to Jasmine. They, too, had a Pygmy Puff, courtesy from someone who had asked his brother to take care of it at the beginning of his term.
....and then he began to chuckle when Bay yawned.
"Aren't you over that aging sickness yet, Bay?" Cris laughed at his friend. "I remember Sander mentioning that you kept catching naps all over the place, all the time when you guys were afflicted with that aging sickness at Hogwarts."
Cris grimaced in empathy when he heard Lux had sprained her ankle. "Ouch! Sorry to hear that. I remember when Elin wore heels for the first time. At one point she started running, got one heel stuck in a hole and went flying. Thank goodness she didn't have far to fall. She wasn't seriously hurt though, thank goodness for that," he told everyone.
It was then Cris realized that throughout their conversations in the compartment, he had forgotten to mention to Jasmine whom Sander, Elin and the other people he had mentioned were. Foolishly, he had automatically assumed that everyone would know who they were. He was going to rectify his mistake when to his dismay, Jasmine stood up.
He berated himself for his rudeness and upset with himself, all he could do was silently shake his head when she asked whether they needed anything from the Food Trolley before leaving.
He watched her leave before turning to look at his other friends. He waited for a couple of minutes before quickly standing up himself. "Um....I think that I'm going to take a walk too and stretch my legs. I'll see you guys in a bit," he told the others before heading out the compartment.
As he left the compartment, he peeked into the next one and was surprised to see a young girl sitting alone by herself, reading.
'[i]No...no...she can't be alone. Not on her first ride on the train and definitely not on her first time as a student of Hogwarts,[i]' Cris thought to himself.
Walking in, he smiled at the girl. "Hello, I'm Cris. I was wondering whether you'd like to join us in the next compartment? My friends and I are in that one. We'd love to have you join us....I mean that's unless you'd rather be alone right now," he quickly corrected himself. Maybe the girl did prefer to be alone.
"I'm headed off to the Food Trolley for a bit, but I'll pop over to my friends right now and let them know to expect you, if you decide to join us," Cris warmly smiled at the girl before leaving her compartment.
Giving her some time to decide, Cris popped his head back into the compartment where Bay and Lux were sitting. "Hey guys I hope you don't mind that I've invited someone to join us. She hasn't said she will yet, but I just wanted to let you know if she does come over. I'll see you in a bit," he told both his friends before he headed off to look for Jasmine.
As Jasmine was peparing to leave the compartment, Cris asked about her family in California. "Yes, I have family in San Diego. That's where I was born and where I lived for a long time. I still consider it my home. It's such a beautiful city. That's where I see those sunsets over the ocean." Wow, she was surprised that Cris had been to her hometown. "I love the those places too. The zoo is one of my favorite places of all." Something in common? Hmmmm.....

Her long blonde locks swayed left to right, right to left, as she made her way down to the corridor her nose pressed almost up against the page of the book that she was immersed in. Was she paying attention to where she was going, definitely not, but after the last year she had had at the school she had taken it upon herself to live life to the fullest. Hope Evans had decided to live like there was a good chance she could die the next day. With a book....
She pulled away from the book for all of five seconds to find an empty compartment. She wasn't sure where all her friends were but she was certain that she would find them at the feast or in the common room at least. Finding an empty compartment at last she promptly planted her posterior on the seat and was ready to begin the journey back to her second home.

Merlin's Saggy left Earlobe. Nigel opened up a can a worms right now. That is what he gets for being a Prefect and having great hair. Soo full of energy and definitely not zen. "Try" See annoying already and annoying and sassy to Ascanius already. Really, this kid had some moxy. "What is you name?"
