Oh LOOK! She was smiling some more! Which couldn't be a bad thing you know? It had to be a good thing! They were practically friends now. like, practically.

Kyroh couldn't help but smile right back, even though he was a bit scared that the girl wouldn't think he was cool or Ravenclaw like. As she spoke Kyroh's grin grew. He had POTENTIAL? Yeah! That sounded awesome. And THEN she patted his shoulder, LOOK! SHOULDER PAT CAUSE OF ALL HIS POTENTIAL! "I've been practicing both" Kyroh stated almost bouncing in his seat. "But I don't think I can really practice the fire making charm in the library." Because there were books around and books and fire didn't work well together you see?

She wanted to HELP him? "I was learning about the The Wand-Lighting Charm-right here-" Kyroh stood up, and turned the book around so she could read it. "If you could help me...that would be really nice of you." He looked up at her. And grinned. SO NICE OF HER! "I'm Kyroh Scabior by the way. I'm a first year."

Bay had totally agree'd to be Lux's test subject for the second potions class and he was kind of scared that she agreed to test his. Vial in hand Bay went and sat down in one of the study booths as he waited for her.

Hoping that she wasn't late, Lux made her way to the library as fast as possible without her running. There was no need for her to get on Mr. Kitridge's bad side.

Now where was Bay? Looking around, she spotted him after a moment and made her way over to join him. "Hey, I'm glad you agreed to do this with me." She didn't want to be mean to her boyfriend, but he was her favourite person to work with. "Want me to do you first? Then you can do me after." That seemed the best way for her. Of course she could have opted to trick him, but Lux wasn't about to do that to her boyfriend. If Professor Culloden had a problem with it, she didn't really care.

"mee too" he said as he saw Lux round the corner.. "Yeah totally you can drink mine first if you want to.." he said with a big gulp in his throat… Handing over his vial he said "here you go.. " he had remembered that she had told him that she felt bad about scaring the poor baby unicorn.. so he used that and the potion was to make her feel bad about scaring the little creature… he hoped it wasn't mean…… and he hoped that she would forgive him because this was how ever for homework.

Taking a seat, Lux figured that it was a good time to get to business. Sipping Bay's potion, she really wasn't surprised when it didn't taste great. Did they ever?

"Definitely not as nice as pumpkin juice." Bleh.

watching her drink it… was just horrible.. he just felt so bad.. "Yeah I know it totally sucks… I'm….sorry" he said as he hoped that she would keep it down.. taking out some parchment he wanted to take notes on how she was feeling… scribble….scribble "so how are you…..GULP feeling?" he asked… hoping she would attack him.

Lux definitely was having some difficulty holding down the potion but somehow she managed to. "I think we need to go to the Great Hall and have something nice to drink after this." It sounded like a good idea to her and she ate with her boyfriend a lot anyway.

Always happy, suddenly out of nowhere an unhappy feeling started to settle over her. It wasn't nice. The Unicorn baby and mother both had come to mind. "I think I'm a bad person because I scared the baby Unicorn and made its mommy angry." She wanted to cry.

Bay just kept on writing.. he could totally cry right now but he thought it was best if he was strong for the both of them right now… because yup.. his potion worked.. she was feeling bad about the unicorns… He would totally be kicking himself later.. he should have picked something else… whats the word…..recent.

"awww your not a bad person cucumber" he put his hand under her chin to lift it up.. and noticed her eyes were a bit glossy… he wrote that down as well.. time to get more information.. "so…. why do you think you made the mommy angry??" he didn't know all the details so he would stick with scaring the mum and baby unicorn.

Sniffle. Sniffle.

Lux couldn't help feeling like a bad person even though Bay was telling her she wasn't. She had made the mommy Unicorn mad, and she should have known better than to have done it. Tears started to fall as Bay held her chin up.

"I made her mad because she clearly didn't want anyone near her baby, and I still tried to feed him some candy." Was the baby a he? She had no idea, but that was besides the point. "I made her mad because she thought I was going to hurt her baby." It would have been much better if she had just left it all alone and let the Unicorns be. Instead, they all had to deal with an angry mother. Of course she was forgetting about the fact that AJ hadn't helped matters, but that wasn't the important thing right now.

Bay felt the tears falling on his hand… oh no…. tears…. the one thing he didn't want to deal with or ever see from Lux.. passing her some tissues Bay listened as she went on.. "so you tried to give a baby….. unicorn…that is… candy?" he knew it would only make her feel worse… but it was an honest question..

animals shouldn't really eat candy and baby animals should most defiantly not eat candy. He scribbled down more notes.

Wiping her tears away with the tissues, Lux nodded. Yes, she had tried to give the baby Unicorn some candy. "It was all I had in my pocket. I know it was stupid too, but he seemed hungry." Sometimes she could be so dumb, but she couldn't help it. She wanted to see the baby and give him some food.

"I feel so bad." Sniff. Sniff. She wanted this bad feeling to go away. She wanted to be happy again. More tears fell.

Why was she so stupid?

ughh he thought this would have gone a lot better than it was actually going… his girlfriend was crying and she felt bad for feeding a baby unicorn… but all he could do is try to comfort her and wait for it to wear off. Handing her some more tissues he got up and hugged her shoulders…

"awwww its okay babe…" he kissed the top of her head.. it should be wearing off soon so thank goodness.. Bay didn't know how long he could keep up with this.

Bay was telling her that it was okay, but Lux didn't really feel as if it was. Still the kiss on the head and the shoulder hug was nice. He was such a very good boyfriend, but that didn't change her from being a silly and bad person. "You're just saying that to make me feel better." Sniffle. Facts were still facts though, and she was guilty as charged being someone who had upset two Unicorns and caused a lot of trouble. Sniff. Sniff.

After a little while of hugging him, she started to feel better. The potion had to be wearing off. It was wonderful, because it had been so effective and all the bad feelings had been rather strong. That, and he always made everything better. "I'm okay now," she announced once she was totally back to herself. Lux knew what this meant, and it was not something she was looking forward to. But it had to be done.

Yeah of course he was saying that to make her feel better no way he wanted this to continue.. "come on potion….. wear off" he kept thinking and praying and a few minutes later it paid off.. she was starting to feel better and now she looked like she was her self again… PHEW….

"awesome" he said as he went to go sit back down in his chair.. "you sure everything is alright?" he wanted to make sure before they continued on.. seeing that she was truly alright he saw that Lux's potion was sitting on the table just waiting for him.. "I guess thats for me" he said as he leaned over and picked up the vial.

He unstoppered the vial and downed the gross potion in one big gulp… "ewwww…. how did you drink this" coughing he noticed that he was going to get into trouble for something… he just didn't know what… but he did know that his mood was changing.. "wow this works fast" he thought as he looked over at Lux.

Smiling weakly, Lux nodded at Bay. She was definitely feeling better about the Unicorn thing, though she really did not want her Lion to feel the same way she had just before. It was not a nice mood to be in, and she didn't want Bay to be upset because it would make her upset again.

Watching him drink the potion, his comment made her laugh."We definitely need some hot chocolate after this." It would get rid of the horrible taste and help them feel totally better. Clearly the effects were starting to work because his expression changed as he looked at her. "What's wrong, sweetie?" She didn't want to ask him about this, but she needed to. He was a tough one, he could handle this better than she did.

Hearing her laugh still sounded awesome.. but it didn't make him smile… "i don't know… its making me feel all weird like" shaking his head to see if that would help was a bad idea.. it only made him dizzier.

He even forgot to write down notes on how he was feeling… ughhh… guess he will just have to go by memory later.. "so this is how you felt… this is terrible.. I'm so sorry" he said as the bad mood kept kicking up to high gear.

Awww, poor Bay. It made Lux so sad to see him like this especially when she knew it was her fault. Honestly, she would have preferred to be under the effects of the potion again, to seeing him this way. "It's okay, Bay. Why are you sorry?" What had happened wasn't his fault.

Smiling, she reached out and grabbed his hand. "You did nothing wrong." Studying his expression, she wondered what would happen next. Hopefully her potion was a lot weaker than his, but sadly she doubted it. Wasn't as if she was bad at the subject or anything.

she was trying to comfort him.. d'awww she was trying to be so nice .. fidgeting around in his seat.. he tired to place how he feels sorry… searching deep inside him he stuttered out an answer.. "I think…. its… because… i sneak food behind their backs.."

just saying it made him feel better.. and suddenly he started to feel more and more like himself… maybe her potion wasn't as strong as his.. "wait a minute.. I'm already starting to feel better" he told her as he made a note to write that down..

"Maybe i'll lay off the bad foods for a while.." that sounded like a good idea to him. "I think I'm alright now".. he moved his body around to see if it still felt a bit heavier… when your worried about something it always makes things feel different.

Surprisingly, Simon chose the first option for Divination homework. He had thoroughly enjoyed making, giving, and receiving Valentine's from his friends and new awesome people that he didn't even know. None of the cards were meant in a overly romantic way, they all just said: 'Hey you're awesome! We should hang out' or 'Hi! I don't know you but you seem cool'. They were all nice and friendly. So when he found out that he could make a card for a Professor, he couldn't resist the option. After coping down the names that he could make a card for, he decided to take a walk to a quieter part of the school so he could start his work.

Alright... He could choose either: Professor Bentley (Cancer), Professor Botros (Leo), Professor Fuller (Taurus), or Mr. Kitridge (Taurus). He knew three of the choices well, but knew only two on a more personal level. Ehhh.. What could he do? he wondered. He didn't want to choose just one Professor to make a card for because he liked both Botros and Fuller. He also liked Bentley. She was really nice and.. and... He didn't know who to make a card for.

Oh this was just too hard for the Slytherin... He wrote the names out on a piece of paper and took a seat in the corridor. Okay, he'd use the old nursery rhyme to help him choose. He pointed at the names and chanted.

"Eeny, meeny, miny, moe,
Catch a tiger by the toe.
If he hollers, let him go,
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe," he whispered quietly.

By this process, he decided that he'd make a card for Professor Fuller. He reached into his backpack, grabbed several pieces of coloured paper, coloured pencils, and glue sticks. He had to get to work!

Jasmine quickly realized that the study area in the Ravenclaw Common Room was not conducive to her card making task. She decided that a change of venue was in order. Roaming the halls in search of a place where her creative juices could flow, she settled on the library. Finding an isolated table, Jasmine opened her bag and once again spread her supplies out before her.

Jasmine was physically unable to make a Valentine's Day card that didn't contain hearts. It was just her thing. Fortunately, she just happened to have a heart shaped rubber stamp and a pad of red ink. Well, didn't everyone who liked hearts keep those on hand?........You never know when they might come in handy. Jasmine pressed the stamp against the ink pad, then she pressed it onto her parchment. Hearts, lots of hearts. One after another, Jasmine used the hearts to make a border around her card.

Then Jasmine made a big red heart in the center of her card. Hmmmmm. Now she had to decide what the card should say. Suddenly, Jasmine had an idea. She would try to write her card in Spanish. Summoning her best recollection of California Spanish, she tried to translate her message. Hoping that she had the words right in her head, she took a marker and began to write. Knowing that La Profesora would not hesitate to correct her if she was wrong, Jasmine was a little nervous. Oh well, it was the thought that counted, right? Finishing her message, Jasmine ended by writing her name on the bottom of the card. She held the card up and inspected it. She hoped that the Professor would like it.

Work completed, Jasmine gathered up her things and stuffed them into her bag. Now all she had to do was find Professor Domingo and deliver her card.

Divination was complete and utter hum-dee-hee.




And Cutty loved it. For exactly this reason.

It was, though, at present time giving him cause for worry. Was he meant to work up a present for Professors Hadley & Domingo or Professor Glendower? Or just one of the Aries women or ... all? Being a cusp he figured he'd have a choice, but that maybe Professor Cassie, as she liked to be called, had a something specific in mind for cusps. He figured he couldn't have been the only one.

That was why he was in the library that day, peering through Casting Your Own Horoscope, Astrology for Beginners and at least one massive and purple volume titled Hayes Astrology Guide and The Astrological Almanac 2081 by a wizard called Surnac. He was hoping to find one that could tell him definitively just what symbol of the western Zodiac his birthdate fell under, if all previous information failed. Instead he'd gotten this contradiction idea of a cusp.

Those born either seven days before or after the sun moves into a sign are, for all intents and purposes, considered to be born on the cusp.

It only made him want to test the idea of Divination being 40% hooey and 60% theatre. With the large purple volume opened to the signs, Cutty shut his eyes and blindly guided his finger around until he plopped it down. Whatever he would open his eyes to is what he would claim for the homework assignment and Divination ever after.

Pisces. Professor Glendower it would be then. And it proved to be something he could sense merit in.

Last stop, Library Study Area. Jasmine entered the room, ready to cast her last few homework spells. Of course, she would probably be continuing to use this spell well after the homework was completed.

Jasmine laid her bag down on a table and pulled out her wand. She looked around the room and found the wall she would be working on. Walking up to it, Jasmine raised her wand. Saying, "Caelum Saepio", Jasmine made a sideways figure eight in front of the wall. She tried to make the movement as big as possible to cover a large portion of the wall. Then she repeated the spell over and over again until she felt sure that it was working.

Just for good measure, Jasmine repeated the process on another wall in the room. Once again she performed the spell several times. Seeing fog and feeling that the room was a little warmer, Jasmine decided her work was done....for now. Walking over to the table, she picked up her bag and left the room.

Adi was here for one reason. To get his Herbology and Charms homework done. First off, he was going to get Charms out of the way and for that he needed his wand and a piece of a wall. Well, a wall.

He located one close to where he decided he would be completing his Herbology homework. Wasting no time, the Hufflepuff cast the spell. "Caelum Saepio!'' After completing the infinity sign like movement, he watched as a small bit of fog left the wall. Awesome! That would help keep him warm.

Adi took a seat to get started on the next homework.

Look at all the students studying. Peeves cackled as he swooped into the studying area with his bucket of snow. He quickly began sprinkling it all over the students and their work.

"Oh Students haven't been outside for so long. Peeves is going to give you some outside."

Cackling more as he threw snow directly at the students below before heading into another area.

Lucy spent a lot of time in the library..
With the icy cold of the last few days it was hard to study here.
Lucy decided to use the new spell she had learned.
When she entered into the library there was a lot of confusion because Peeves was making one of his usual jokes..
Trying to avoid the spray of snow Lucy began in a corner near the wall..
She started to form an eigth with her wand and she muttered:" caelum saepio!"
Lucy repeated the spell on all four walls of the room..
She hoped to have improved the cold that Peeves had made with the snow!
