Way back behind the many bookshelves and bookcases a cozy area has been created for any Hogwarts student interested in his or her reading. It's a big comfy area with clusters of armchairs and tables surrounding magical reading lamps which give off different levels of light all appropriate for reading. The clusters are perfect for study groups or group projects.
Here and there a few lone armchairs and tables can be found for a student to enjoy some solitary reading, and a number of comfy sofas for any who wants to stretch out and put their feet up. Just, make sure they aren't muddy!
A soft glow of light is present throughout the area with more magical reading lamps in each possible reading space. Be sure to keep your voices down and respect those students who wish to read in quiet.
*With his arms loaded with books and homework Rom got right to work studying. After a few hours papers and books lay open all over the table. His brain was close to turning into goo. Rubbing his eyes Rom leaned back in his chair and pulled out a pack of crisps from his school bag. Study break...*
It was quiet here. Unlike Jun's dorm for once. His dorm mates were being loud and hyper today. All he wanted to do was sleep. Rubbing his eyes, exhaustion showing on his face, Jun tried writing a letter to his brother. But couldn't properly set the words on the paper. So instead, he ended up making scribbled on the page and flopped on the couch, legs dangling over the armrest. "What was I gonna write to him?" He mumbled to himself, twirling the quill around in his left hand. Sitting up a bit, Jun only managed to write 'Dear brother who's too tall for his age' at the top of the page.
Flopping back down, the boy decided to give up and close his eyes. Maybe a twenty minute nap would help right now.

This was as good a place as any to start. Mr. Kitridge must have seen her going down this way. With some luck he'd think she was simply here to get in some study and put her out of his mind. No need to be paying attention to her, yeah? Nothing to see with the Gryffindor and her plans for the Restricted Section. All she had to do was double back behind another set of bookshelves and hope the man was gainfully occupied with someone...else. Funny how that almost looked like her boyfriend having a nap in the library.
...Wait....
Momentarily forgetting what she'd come here for, Lex drifted over the to couch Jun was occupying. Didn't take long for her to see he'd fallen asleep or was in the process of doing so. The Gryffindor leaned over and poked at his cheek. "Having the Librarian for your Head of House doesn't give you the right to make this place your dormitory." Hi.

Jun must have fallen asleep for at least ten minutes before hearing feet shuffling in the study area. He didn't pay much mind to them, and kept on taking his nap. Or was still trying to go back to it. The running thought of the subject to his brother wasn't letting him rest completely. It bugged him not remembering. Reminded him of the aging last term. But now someone poked his cheek. Ugh, couldn't a boy just get some rest in the library? Jun opened his eyes weakly towards the figure after hearing the person's voice.
Oh, hi girlfriend.
"Dorm is too loud, babe," He let that one slip. He didn't really care, he just wanted to sleep. His sleepless nights were back so wherever Jun could sleep, he was going to. But it was weird seeing Lex in the library. So.. "What are you doing here? Trying to get into a certain section that the 'claw may have access to now," He still needed to try and get in there. Y'know, when he's had more than two to three hours of sleep.

Was she going to have to poke his cheek again? This time it wouldn't be a finger, but her wand and if by some chance not even that worked...well she didn't know.
Luckily his eyes did open. No need for extra measures. Lex perched herself on the arm of the couch he'd been trying to nap in and for a moment, fixed him with a hard look. Loud dorms were okay, even his that was usually quiet when they needed them to be, it was the other bit that caused the staring. "Don't call me that." Babe. Horrid word that one. Just hearing it had her nose wrinkling. "Lex works nice enough." Fun fact right there. Lex couldn't stand the word. She may have gotten used to the idea of dating and boyfriends but that would just never catch on.
"I'm almost offended." She said with a grin, not bothering to actually act like his words had cut at her character. "Can't a girl just come into the library because she wants to learn and build a better love of reading?" That was her official excuse and she'd be sticking to it. In here for the reason most people came in here for. Now if only the girl actually read. It might be more convincing then.

Jun felt Lex make herself comfortable on the arm rest. Did he need to move his long legs? Hopefully the answer would be no. Sitting up, he laughed at her comment. He pulled her a bit closer and gave her a kiss before speaking. "I was just trying to see what would happen if I did," And obviously not a good reaction. He wasn't it to be good anyway. "It's like you say 'I'll keep that in mind'," See? He pays attention even though there's a lot of distractions going on. More like he needed to in case she wanted him to remember something. But then Jun would just write it down in his notebook.
Snort.
"A girl? Yes. You? Definitely not," That was a given. Jun knew perfectly well, from months of being friends and months of dating, that Lex wouldn't come near the library to read. She'd come for other reasons. "And can't a guy sleep on the couch without his girlfriend poking his face to wake up?" Note those tired eyes, Lex? The boy was practicing too much lately and needed a break. The couch was not as comfortable as his bed, but he'll make due until his dorm mates decided to settle down.

Lex watched him sitting up, wondering if he'd finally realized all plans of a nap had been crushed the moment she spotted him. Poor him actually. What she hadn't expected was suddenly being pulled into a kiss. She didn't pull away immediately but it didn't last that long either considering she wasn't too eager to spend an evening down in the Lover's Lair. Ugh. "Experimenting. You're such a Ravenclaw." She said with a playful roll of her eyes as she straightened on the arm rest once again. Trying out names just to see what would happened. Actually, maybe that was more a Gryffindor thing. Lex grinned at her own words being quoted at her. "You do that. Next time you might get a smack for it." Or not, but some light hexing might happening.
Jun had a valid point right there. Anyone else would be able to get away with that excuse, rather easily too. Was there anyone at Hogwarts that didn't know her distaste for reading? It was too late to be sure it wasn't overly publicized but then that wasn't so bad. At least no one would try recommending things to her. As for his question. "A boy? Yes. You? Not when you've got me for a girlfriend." And they weren't looking to change that so.....wakey wakey. He did look tired though, dark circles around his eyes and all. "You've been over-working yourself again, haven't you?" A deep scowl set in.
He promised he wouldn't.

Such a Ravenclaw.
Heh. Maybe he actually was. Had most of the traits for it anyway. But that wasn't the point. The point was that the word was never to be used. Not unless he wanted to be hexed or cursed. Either one he was sure were to happen. Grinning, Jun gave her a shrug. "First time I actually used the word. And now I know that it'll never work on you," Pet names didn't. But Jun'll call her one once in a blue just to bother. But he might end up not being her boyfriend anymore. Oops. "Really? You'd smack me for trying to be affectionate?" Jun used a joking tone. He wasn't offended by it. He wasn't really a sap like Bolton, just showed affection in a different way.
Jun raised his eyebrows. Sighing, he carefully swung his legs over her and set his feet on the floor. "But whyyyy? Do you need me for something?" There had to be a logical reason as to why the prefect wouldn't let Jun sleep. Even an hour? It was desperately needed at the moment. Rubbing his eyes with one hand, he couldn't help but nod. This is why he didn't make certain promises. "Took a break today, but dorm mates weren't cooperating so I came here,"

Jun was a fast learner, something she could really appreciate, especially coming from her boyfriend. Just one minor warning and he already knew that it'd never work on her. That saved her future corrections that she might have had to make for whatever else the boy had in his vocabulary. Lex almost snorted at his question. It was a wonder she managed to keep a straight face. "I'd hardly call it showing affection if you know I don't like it to begin with." Because then he'd be doing it to get on her nerves and not because he liked her and wanted her knowing this. "I'm positive you can think of better ways to be affectionate." Of course he could. He'd done so before and no names were included.
And there he was sighing like he'd have actually preferred going back to sleep...actually...she was positive he'd have preferred going back to sleep but she wasn't willing to let this happen. Still, she could pretend like he had options, just watch. "Fine." Lex said, sounding like her mind had been made up. "I don't actually need you for anything at the moment so I guess you could go back to napping....and leave me alone with all these boring books that might give me brain damage." She spared him a glance before looking off at all the shelves, pretending to consider things. "Don't think any of them are more interesting than my boyfriend but if you insist." And a light shrug as she hopped up from her spot. Lex flicked her wand, summoning a book at random before going to flop in a couch nearby. She wasn't actually going to read it, just seeing how badly the boyfriend actually wanted to sleep.
"Is today you're only break?" Had to ask, even while she 'left him alone'.

Of course he did. Didn't he give her a list the other night? But maybe that list needed to be longer. "Well, what do you think counts as affection?" He had noted the cooking for her already. Y'know, when Jun could be bothered to even head to the kitchens and cook. Sometimes he just slept his hunger off. A bad habit he had for being lazy and having his mum scold him all the time for it too. "At least in your kind of affection," Because they had the type of relationship where you didn't have to show so much affection to know they like each other. He didn't like to be like that either. Jun avoided those type of couples.
Jun couldn't help but laugh. Hearing Lex trying to sound serious in a situation like this made his day. Standing up and stretching, Jun yawned a bit and ruffled his already messy hair. Speaking of hair, he was thinking of changing it soon again. Maybe red? Or blonde again. He did think blonde suited more because of his pale skin. And Lex liked it blonde, right? Oh well. Okay, what did the girlfriend need him for now? "What do you need from me? Distractions? Food? Or just want to spend time with your boyfriend?" Either one was fine with him, and would keep him awake until sleeping in his own bed tonight. Watching her flop on another couch with a book, Jun playfully rolled his eyes and walked over to her. Bending down and looking at her, Jun moved hair away from Lex's face.
"No, I can take a break whenever. Just been overworking myself because I'm stubborn. But If the girlfriend needs me, I'm all hers,"

Kyroh had been in the library for about a hour now. The place was huge, and filled with more books than he could imagine. His papa had told him that when he had gone to Hogwarts the library was his favourite place. Though, Kyroh already doubted that the library would be his favourite place. While he loved books, it was too quiet. Too serious.
It worked for what he wanted now, but as a favourite place? No way?
Putting the finishing touches on his letter Kyroh carefully folded it and tucked it into an envelope. With a bit of wax he sealed it and pushed it to the side of the table. There were a few books stacked up on the table. He had spent the first half hour just looking for books, but ended up only taking a few. One about potions, another of dragons, and he had even found a copy of his papa's first book. It was non-fiction but Kyroh still wanted to read it.
Opening his own copy of standard book of spells grade 1, Kyroh pulled out his wand and a fresh piece of parchment, and began reading. He was determined to learn as MANY spells as his brain could handle.

CB loved reading. Yes. But she didn't so much like borrowing. Libraries were strange to her. But, as she didn't exactly have access to a bookstore anymore, she would have to change some things. Some things. Still carrying around that Hogwarts: A History book, she flipped to the section about the library as she walked in. She was good at walking and reading.
She weaved her way through the isles as she read, avoiding bumping into people and stepping on them with her peripheral vision. It was a huuuuge place. So many rooms and nooks and crannies. And even an office for the librarian? Maybe she'd have to go check that out later; ask for recommendations or something fun to pass the time.
Pausing in her reading as well as her motion, she realized she was a little lost. She looked around, noticing a few signs labeling areas, but wasn't too sure where the entrance, or now exit, was. She tucked the book under her arm and moved closer to the section labeled study area and moved closer to an occupied chair.
"Hey, do you know-" Oh. It was that kid. The one from the common room..

Chapter one had been boring. You didn't learn any spells in chapter one. It was more like an introduction. But Kyroh had made sure to read every single word and even took notes. Because all this stuff was like the foundation of magic right? And if he ever wanted to be good he'd have to know even the boring stuff.
But he was now onto chapter two!
The Wand-Lighting Charm. He had seen this one SO many times! Kyroh moved closer to the book, his eyes lingering on every word and was just about to write a few notes down before trying out the charm when he heard a voice.
Oh. Hi! He knew you!!! "I know lots of things!" Kyroh exclaimed happily. Probably a little too loudly for the library.

Alexa was quite content with stalling before having to pretend like she was actually going to read so she'd answer his question while she idly flipped through the pages of...what was this book anyway? She turned it to its cover again and scowled realizing it was a History book on Goblin rebellions. Ugh. No thanks. Lex gave a casual shrug. "I don't have a fixed definition for it. Like I said, words don't mean much to me so I don't invest time in being able to explain things and give answers." Unhelpful, yes, not her fault. "You can never go wrong with chocolate though." Perhaps a spout more of unhelpfulness but it was either that or shutting up and reading the book.
After cracking open the book once more, she glanced over the top, watching him finally get up. Least she knew he wouldn't leave her to die a dull death. Extra chocolate frog points right there. Lex glued her eyes to the page, pretending to not notice him as he got closer until there was no more pretending with him leaning over and messing with her hair. She tried hiding her smile as she looked up at him again. "I already said I didn't need you for anything." Because it wasn't that urgent if she was being honest about it. More like a whim. She was allowed those, yes? "I just ate and there's time for distractions later." With a firm nod added. "Just saw you napping is all and you can get riiiight back to that. Don't let me stop you." Except that's exactly what she was trying to do, stop him, only...indirectly?
"Keep being stubborn and you'll burn out completely, then you'll be of no use to your girlfriend that needs you." JUST SAYING.

That explained the whole not liking to use the word 'worry' for anything. Because she didn't worry, but did? Lex just couldn't find the proper word to use. Maybe Jun should get her a thesaurus and she'll find the word in there. "You obviously aren't too great with words. At least certain words. But actions speak loud than them, right?" And of course her type of affection would be with chocolate. Anything with chocolate. But Jun already knew that so it didn't really count. Not to him at least. "I already know that. What about something else?" Something only a boyfriend can do. He could probably earn brownie points too. As if he needed them anyway.
Now she didn't need him?
"Then why'd you--" Jun didn't even want to finish that sentence. Sighing, he moves away from her and headed back to the couch he was previously on. Picking up his parchment and quill, the boy headed to a table and continue writing his letter. Or at least was still trying. Twirling the quill in his left hand, Jun finally managed to think of something to write. No point in getting annoyed with Lex; it would only end up bad. "My girlfriend doesn't need me now so I might as well keep going," He said, without looking up and continues scribbling away. "Besides, I'm taking a two week break after this week. Might as well rest up a bit,"

This was probably the second time they'd ever gotten along this line of the conversation. She could remember mentioning to him at some other point that words didn't impress her and she hardly bothered to use them when she didn't need to. "Actions are much louder and don't involve sitting around, going in circles with dull vocabulary." Granted some words could be exciting but they were hardly used. The page she'd only just been looking at turned lazily, her eyes still on him. Something else? "Mmmm...hugs? Cuddles?" Those were plenty affectionate, just asked Felix, she forced him into snuggles ALL the time because she liked them and very few people around her did. Go figure. Not even her bestfriend liked hugs--but Cassia did so that was a plus.
Lex found herself waiting for a question that was never finished. After a moment she lowered the book completely and watched him head to one of the tables with a parchment and quill. Was he already working on homework? Something she should consider doing when she got back to her form. The sigh was kinda telling, did he know? Alexa sat up in her seat for a moment, watching him curiously. "You can..." She started, wondering what he might have been doing. "What exactly are you going on with? Astronomy?" That was the only thing she could think of. It didn't even cross her mind that it might have been a letter to someone. In her mind there were only so many things you could do with parchment.
Oh? "Two week break? Reckon you'll be catching up on sleep then." So technically he didn't need a nap right this second.

CB gave the kid a bit of a smile, not really knowing what to say. Was she really going to ask a younger student for directions? A first year no less? She decided to ask later.. or maybe not at all. She could follow him out maybe. ... If she waited long enough.
She took a seat opposite the boy, and smiled quickly again. "That's why you're in Ravenclaw." she nodded and twisted her rings.
Hanging out for a while couldn't be too bad... Maybe the librarian would help? If she could find his office.. Or... she could wander more. She didn't really want to though.
Moving her Hogwarts: A History book to her lap, she asked "What're you reading?"

Oh. The girl was smiling at him. Kyroh watched as she sat down from the seat across from him. He had only spoken to her that one time in the common room, but then Professor Culloden had entered and had given him a PRESENT that had completely distracted him. But if she was smiling at him that meant that they could still be friends yeah?
"Well I guess....but I still need to learn a lot more." He knew lots of stuff. But not enough. Though Kyroh was glad now that he was in Ravenclaw, at least that meant he was around a lot of smart people.
Eyes flickering from the book to the girl Kyroh hesitated. Would she laugh at him and say that he didn't belong in Ravenclaw if she knew that he didn't even know that many spells? "Standard Book of Spells Grade 1." The first year replied, slightly quiet compared to his normal tone.

Oh? "Two week break? Reckon you'll be catching up on sleep then." So technically he didn't need a nap right this second.
"Dull vocabulary? Like things that aren't even worth talking about or?" He questioned, still not looking up from his parchment. It was covered in little drawings of lines that made abstract figures. Jun had began scribbling again when hugs and cuddles were mentioned and he looked up. "Huh. Those happen plenty already, y'know, when we aren't around too many people," Maybe hugs don't really happen, but only because Jun always feels like Lex might not like them. Boy was just conflicted sometimes. At least everything else they did together was perfectly fine.
Jun shook his head. It was too early for him to be doing homework. And he didn't have the energy in him to do so either. Wigging his left fingers, Jun switched to his right hand and continued scribbling. Oh, the perks of being ambidextrous. "I'm writing to my brother. Have to thank him for the gifts he left in my trunk. Remember those?" Jun chuckled, clearly remembering how bad he wanted to laugh when he found it. Now he kept in mind to always keep his trunk locked at home just in case. At least Kai left candy in there too. Should've left more biscuit sticks too. "And I'm telling him to send more biscuit sticks soon too. More flavors of them," Much needed at the moment. "I guess so. You probably won't see me in those two weeks. Unless you manage to somehow poke me awake in the dorm," She was a prefect, so she had connections.

CB was awful at first impressions without her sister around to relax her, and keep her light and a little immature honestly. She didn't even realize that she'd been coming off as a bit mean or standoffish when people approached her for the first time. It also could possibly have to do with the fact that she didn't like being interrupted whenever she was reading. Oops.
She nodded a little. "There's always more to learn. There's just so much knowledge out there, you know?" So many different topics and subjects. History was her favorite though. There was sooooo much to learn in that area.
With crossed legs now, she sat up a little straighter and put the book between her left leg and the arm rest, resting her hands in her lap. Taking note of his softer tone the girl eyed him curiously. "For class, right?" Was there a tickle in his throat? Did he forget how to raise his voice?
Was he okay?

That was true! The boy nodded his enthusiasm picking up a it. "Plus if there wasn't more to learn that would mean you would know everything and that would be boring!" Who wanted to know everything? Sometimes he felt like he did but then there would be no more questions to ask. No more new discovers or new realizations.
WHAT WOULD HE DO IF HE COULDN'T ASK QUESTIONS!?
If he agreed and said it was for class maybe the girl would still think he was cool and Ravenclaw worthy! But Kyroh didn't want to do that. That would be lying. And the boy did not like to lie at all. "No." He started slowly but his voice did rise a bit and his eyes drifted once more to the girls. "I don't...know that many spells. And in class I'm lost sometimes when the Professors say to do stuff." Like in potions when Kyroh had to learn on the spot and it had been scary. "So I'm trying to learn as much as I can now." It was impractical to think that he could go through the whole book in one sitting but Kyroh wanted to TRY. "So far I know the Aguamenti Spell- which makes water, the Fire-Making Charm, and the The Scouring Charm." They didn't really go well together but... it was okay.

For a conversation about not liking words or using them much this one seemed to require a lot of explanation; she'd noticed. How would she even describe dull vocabulary? "I guess you could say that. Things I'm not particularly interested in listening to or discussing." If they held no apeal for her, they could hardly be described as anything but dull. Of course he was right about the next part, minus the hugs really. Seriously. In all her years she'd never met a bunch of people more against hugs than the Hogwartians. Though the Puffers weren't bad, they were willing. "Mhm and with those happening, words and names can shove off." They were of no use to her really.
Not homework then? So she wasn't the only one not being productive? Good! She could live with this. Lex dropped the History of Magic book to the floor and summoned one that looked more promising in its place. Might as well since she figured she'd be staying here for a little longer. Just as she was about to pry the book open (one on Dark Creatures as it turned out) she heard him mention the gift in the trunk. HA. That was an...erm....interesting gift it was but the candy had made it better. "Remember to make it sound convincing." She perked up at the mention of the biscuit sticks. He'd said he could have his brother send her some, yeah? "You'll still get more chocolate ones, even though you're getting new flavours, right?--And Raspberry and Strawberry, you should mention those too." You know, in case he was taking suggestions from the girlfriend. Ahem.
There was a small glance down at the History book now on the ground, just to be sure it hadn't landed badly. You could get in serious trouble for mishandling books apparently.

Jun understood. Made sense to not listen to a conversation when using dull language. There were a lot of things that didn't interest the Ravenclaw boy like other people. He was usually tired or reading a book to pay attention. It required a lot of effort to listen to a conversation hat had gone dull. Or even pretend too. Grinning, he nodded. "Not like much words and names are being said anyway," Mumbles probably counted, but barely of those too. Unless someone brings up a story or something interesting to talk about.
He nodded, scratching out some stuff, but deciding to start all over in general. Jun didn't like having his letters look all messy. It ticked him off. Crumbling up the parchment, he took another from under the previous one and started writing again. 'The gifts you sent were certainly put to good use. Went by fast too'. Hm, that sounded convincing enough for Kai. Poor git would believe this letter. Now, time for the biscuit sticks. "Depends, are we going to play the game again soon?" He asked. 'Send more chocolate pepero. Include strawberry and raspberry too. Lots of it'. "Included those. Anything else you'd want him to send?" Like other more gummy worms for him. Jun desperately needed some of those.
Soon.

Okay, okay. This kid was super cute. She couldn't be mad at him for interrupting her reading the other day. Not a chance. She smiled at him and nodded. "Exactly. That's how I think about it." No one liked know-it-alls. She knew that. She'd tried being that once. Didn't go so well. People did not take well to that at all.
Was it weird that she wanted to act like an old granny and pinch his cheeks? Probably.
She realized she wasn't that much older than him, meaning it would probably be really weird if she did..
Coral-Bay tilted her head as the boy seemed to get a bit more serious, embarrassed almost? She was good at that too; picking up on people's emotions. She gave him an encouraging smile. "That's alright. You have to start somewhere, and the fact that you're very willing to learn, and learn on your own, means that you have a lot of potential, kid." Kid? Where had that come from? Oh well. She shifted forward in her seat, and attempted to pat his shoulder. "That's a really good start, you've got there." Did no one teach him anything at home? Who was slacking? "Have you been practicing the wand movements? Or just practicing the incantation? I could help you, if you want.."
