As you walk towards the Groundskeeper's Hut, two piles draw your attention: a big pile of wooden planks and a smaller one of stones. There are also construction tools and gadgets such as nails, hammers and drills. The weather is a bit chilly, but the Sun is shining and it's a good day for a surprise!
Your Professor, having taken a dose of Strength Potion, is waiting for you with a big smile and excitement. The Groundskeeper is nowhere to be seen.
Progress of the groups
First group (the stone carriers and fire-pit makers)
Cutty Mordaunt, Zander Adair, Kyroh Scabior, Marigold McAlistor, Kace Lecium, Grayson Whitlock (group leader), Kevin Hirase, Candice Messer, Hayden Malone, Tora Gallaway, Benjamin Atreyu
-Grayson Whitlock (hermionesclone) is named as the leader.
-The leader has suggested dividing into two sub-groups: 1. stone carriers and 2. fire pit builders.
-Cutty Mordaunt's brilliance in designing.
-The Leader explained again how to build it. The Professor approved of the plan.
-Amazing Kita is being amazing: the drawings of the plans
SPOILER!!: Bird's eye view
SPOILER!!: Side view
Second group (wooden plank carriers)
Leah Abbott, Angel Valentine, Sophie Brown, Elodie Robertser, Arista Royal, AJ Valentine, Ethan Mordaunt, Maddie Cooper, Coral-Bay Aldrich, Marcus Branxton, Cassia Somerlad
-Fighting with planks as the swords
-Mr. Mo: "We had some dueling earlier, and now I think we're going to try to see just how much load bearing we can actually do. You game for it?"
-RACE! Carrying first years on planks and RACING!
Third group (porch builders)
Tobias Tempus, Cris Strand, Sophie Newell, Lux Carrington, Victor Bay, Jasmine Guirdy, Aditya Rehman, Lucy Petersfield
-Victor Bay drew a plan.
-Professor suggested that there shouldn't be any roof and railings. The floor should also be wooden.
-Cris Strand has an idea approved by the professor.
-There are nails and hammers instead of spells.
-A reference post for how they are working
OOC notes
As I've already said, you need three posts doing building stuff (so drinking and RPing the effects of the potion does not count) for full credit. There is no maximum limit of posting, but there can only be so many stones and planks to be carried, so please keep IC reality in mind with post number too.
You can switch groups, you don't have to stick to just one.
The carriers don't really need my directions, but it'd be nice if the porch builders followed Cosgrach as he has a... radical design in mind.
It'd be helpful for everyone if you titled your post with the group.
You can join in the last day too - basically, anytime that suits you until 3rd of June, 23.59 GMT+1/19.59 EST+1.
The grading will be based on creativity. You are allowed to 'prank' your friends and stuff (*insert cool ideas here*) so that it's not a dull RP. But severe pranks IC will have IC consequences.
I'll update this post with the progress of the groups.
Lastly, I will post again tomorrow around this time. As it'll take me a day to post again, the builders may also begin 'building' as they wish.
Angel was enjoying taunting her friend until her friend picked up a massive plank. "Leah are you sure you can carry it." Angel giggled as she winked at her bestie, then suddenly her sister spoke and Angel was a bit worried about what was going to happen.
O__________o
Sword fighting with planks, why wasn't she at all surprised that her sister wanted in on that, Angel though picked up another plank and just carried it to where it needed putting, she didn't want to sword fight with anyone someone could get seriously hurt and well it wouldn't be nice if they got sent to the hospital wing because they couldn't see or because they had broken something.

Turning to the group at large, he looked around at them all before saying, "Okay, so we're the best and coolest group and if anyone says otherwise, they're lying." Take it from him, he knew. "Sooooo we have two tasks: stone carrying and fire pit building." FIYAH! "Meaning that maaaaaaybe we should split up into two smaller groups? Marigold rolled her eyes at Gray's excessive excitement. Blah blah, she was cool, that was a given. But she had to smile a bit because compliments."Coolest group by far."
And he was being all PROACTIVE and thinking ahead and stuff. She kinda shifted towards the stones. She could show off her new strength and stuff while still not doing a lot of stuff that required thinking. But she could help building, too, if they needed it.

Yeah.
Aaaand Gray was being declared leader. She turned to him and wiggled her eyebrows. "Hi Mr. okayhe'sthisguy group leader," she said with a giggle, before turning around and picking up a stone. It seemed really light, which she guessed meant she made the potion correctly! She heaved it and started walking towards all the other rock-carrying-people for directional purposes when she passed a boy exuberantly not moving the stone and a girl watching him (Kyroh and Hayden).
"Did you take the potion?" she asked the boy, setting her stone down and unknowingly repeating the girl's question. She frowned down at the stone. "It might help if you grab it from lower down, it helped me at least." Then she turned to the girl and smiled at her. Hayden, or something? She had introduced herself loudly and Marigold respected that. "I'm Marigold."
Then more carrying happened.

Angel had suddenly had a brilliant idea and wondered what her bestie would say to it. "Hey Leah." Angel then decided to whisper her idea to her. "What was that spell called that made things shrink?" Angel really wanted to use it on her sister, she wondered what her sister would say when she was busy trying to sword fight with the plank and then find it shrinking so she couldn't. "Don't you think it would be fun to cause AJ's plank to shrink when she's sword fighting." Angel giggled as she whispered the last part to her best friend.

Benny was trying to keep to himself, hoping he could just help without trouble or having to be too friendly outside cooperating with others. When the professor called for their attention, the third year looked to Culloden and focused on what was being said. Three groups...three projects. And the potion would be needed if not already taken.
He hadn't so he slipped it out of his pocket and poured back the sample. At least it wasn't as strong as the sample he had tried in class, he wanted to have the strength to help but not feel like he was crazily cheating by not having to apply effort like it had seemed in the muggle strength testing machine. The Gryffindor remained to the side to allow the potion to take its effect, absently watching as the groups started to develop so he could decide what he himself wanted to handle.

Then, with a surge of determination, she put her arms around a big stone and HEAVED it up into her arms. Whoa, it wasn't even heavy at all. Hayden carried the stone toward the right of the hut, where the professor wanted the fire pit to be built. She jumped up and down excitedly. She'd done it! Okay, time to do it some more!
She made her way back over to the stones, and saw a boy (Kyroh, she thought) struggling to move a stone. "Didn't you take the potion?" She asked. Obviously not, but why? Hayden stood a few steps away, regarding the boy curiously.

Annnnd MORE PUSHING. Kyroh pushed and surprising the stone continued to move. Very slowly of course. Very very slowly. Pausing to wipe the small beads of sweat off his brow Kyroh was ready to continue when a girl came up to him. This one was........Hayden! Yes. That's what she had said her name was. Kyroh grinned, he was about to answer when another girl appeared. He couldn't remember this one's name but...his grin vanished slowly as he stood up straight. "Er-" The claw brought his hands together, and started wringing them. Was he in trouble? If both of them had noticed he had to be in trouble right?
"-I like dragons." Kyroh answered, his voice slightly lower than usual. He didn't want to be in trouble. Though maybe the girl was right and he could grab it from lower? "And I don't want to drink the potion because of the dragons heart." But he could still WORK okay? He was strong? See how he had moved that rock?
Grrr?

Sophie grew wide-eyed as Cris threw about a whole bunch of ideas at once. Nevertheless, she smiled at his efforts. "Erm, well...I think we should erect stilts, or beams, under the actual porch. They'd probably stay up longer than dirt or stones," she said. The dirt could wash away, and the stones were easily moved, so she thought they should stick to the beams.
"...but we weren't provided with any mosquito netting," she said. She turned and gestured toward the materials the professor provided. "Do you think we were meant to stick to what's here?" She didn't know how to conjure mosquito nets. She looked toward Culloden for some kind of response.
Then there was another design, a wraparound porch design, shown to the group. "I think it looks awesome, but we should really find one design and stick to it. It's probably going to take us a while to get this thing built, and we've got three possibilities for designs," she said. "Maybe we should just stick with the one already approved by Culloden?" That way they could go ahead and get started.
"Either way, we need a base for our porch, so I'll start working on it," she said. She turned toward the planks that were laid out before they decided on a base and began to shift them around, so they could know be part of the base. She laughed at herself carrying those big planks. It was like she was carrying straws or something. "So how are we supposed to piece these together?" she asked. Charms or actual nails and hammers?

Another girl came over to where Hayden and that boy Kyroh were. She asked the exact same question Hayden herself had just asked but that was okay. She would be forgiven because she had not known the question had already been asked. Hayden contemplated the boy's answer. Yeah, that made sense. She shrugged. A dragon had not been harmed in order for their potion to be made so it didn't bother her, but if it bothered Kyroh she wasn't going to make fun of him for it or anything. "Do you want some help?" The stones looked really heavy for him to be moving unassisted, but she wasn't sure if he wanted to accept help or do it all by himself. So she didn't make any move to help yet, but her offer still stood.

Cris nodded in agreement with Sophie. He knew that he had thrown in too many ideas and she was right. Professor Culloden had more or less approved Bay's design, minus the roof and the railings, something he hoped the Professor would change his mind about once they were done with constructing the foundation.
"I believe you're right about the extra materials. I guess we have to work with what we have now. Maybe we can add the other items some other time, when we have them, and if the Groundkeeper approves of them," Cris turned to look at the supplies they had been provided before studying Bay's building design again.
"If you don't mind, I'll help you with the base. Unless someone has seen some hammer and nails around here, I guess we're going to have to use charms," Cris told Sophie and he walked over and picked up four more planks of wood and brought them over to where Sophie had placed hers.
He moved them around to line up with the ones Sophie had already arranged together.
It still amazed him how easy it was for him to carry four wooden planks of sizable portions. Under normal circumstances it wouldn't have been impossible but most definitely harder than how it was now.

The work was already well underway when Mo approached the Groundkeeper's hut, and he pondered the hustle of activity for a while before deciding where he would help. It was obvious to him that there was a group working with rocks and making... something clever, a group moving the wood planking, and a group that was building. And since he spotted his little Ravenclaw buddy and his Sophie!sister in that middle group... why not, right?
Mo paused long enough to take his potion and wait for the after effects to wear off before he approached the plank-duelers. "Can I help?"

No one responded to her idea besides Bay. Honestly that upset Lux a little because she felt ignored. But at least he listened and was kind about it. "That's true, I suppose I can go along with whatever you guys want to do for the design." It wasn't as if she herself had any experience building stuff like porches. But she loved to do work with her hand and could be a fast learner. This hard worker wanted to help give the Groundskeeper an awesome porch.
"I honestly have no idea how to do any of this stuff, but I am a hard worker so I can do anything as long as it's explained to me." Hopefully this didn't make her sound dumb, but it was what it was. "I want to help build the base."

Okay, cool. She and Cris had agreed to use Bay's idea, although Cris did have a good idea, too. Sophie stood up and moved to gather a few more planks. She decided to just try three at once for now. Cris was older than she was, so she'd just leave Cris to carrying the stacks of four. She put down her three planks then arranged them into position. They had a pretty good base going now.
"I have an idea," she said, looking at Toby. "You didn't take your potion, right? So maybe you can do the spellwork to fix the boards together for us." That was something he could do without taking his potion, as it didn't require any strength at all.
She then turned her attention to Lux. "Cool. Well, we're working on a base for the porch right now. So we're gathering the planks and making a base arrangement right now--one that'll support the porch. Then we're going to fix them together with spellwork," she said. She brushed off her hands then went to gather more planks.

Caleb had to take the potion and pick a group. Yes, he needed to do that and FAST because they were already breaking up into groups.
So he gulped down his potion and, as he waited for it to take effect, headed over to the first group. Cutty was in that group, so he figured it would at least be entertaining to hang out with them. "Hi, can I join?" he asked with a smile.
Yup, friendly snake over here!

Since Tora had been leaning against the rocks, she had decided she might as well join the fire pit group. Turning around and lifting the top one off the pile (she had already drunk her strength potion before arriving), she hefted it over to where she saw the group of volunteers for the fire pit were gathering. "Yo!" she called. "Where should I put this?" she grinned, relishing in the fact that she could lift the rick up with one arm like it was a simple tray. It was quite fun really... Perhaps they could play a game of catch with the rocks before they put them all in place? It was no fun to build something without a little deviation from the task at hand. They all had super strength. No one would get hurt!
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Adi felt kinda lost. "I like Lux's idea about the beehives,'' he blurted out for no reason. Maybe it was because he wasn't sure what else to contribute. Haha.
Well, they were gathering planks for the base, right? Adi had taken his potion so it would be no problem at all for him to help with that. Like Lux, he wasn't that good with this stuff. "I'll help Cris and Sophie get the planks, too,'' he said. The older ones would be better at the spell work and he was good with whatever design they worked with. Adi jogged after Sophie as she went for more planks.
.........................
Adi returned moments later carrying three planks and set them down neatly next to Cris's and Sophie's. He felt like Superman, carrying all of them at once. "Hey, Cris,'' he said turning to the older guy. "How many more planks are we going to need?'' The dude seemed to know a lot about this stuff.

Jasmine watched as their group started to grow larger. That was good because their job would probably be the most challenging of all. When Bay pulled out his drawing of the proposed porch, Jasmine was quite impressed. Clearly he had done this before. "That's really awesome Bay", Jasmine said. Who knew he was an architect in disguise.
The Professor came by and gave his input on the project and that resulted in some changes being made to the original plan. Jasmine was a bit overwhelmed as she heard the various ideas and suggestions being tossed around. She was definitely out of her comfort zone with building and was starting to wonder if she had chosen the right task to work on. She knew she could do the physical work, but her groupmates seemed to have a much better handle on things than she did.
With Bay, Cris and Sophie clearly taking the lead, Jasmine tried to figure out where she fit in. When she saw the base for the porch being made, she decided to jump in. Jasmine immediately went to retrieve some some planks. Reaching down into the pile, she found that she could easily lift and manage three planks at a time. Carrying them closer to the projected porch area, Jasmine set them neatly on the ground. Then one at a time, she laid them evenly side by side next to Adi's planks. "How does that look?", she asked the group. Hoping that she had placed the planks adequately, Jasmine went to gather more planks.

The fact that Adi liked her idea made Lux happy. Even if they didn't end up going with it, she was glad for some support from him and Bay. Still feeling a little overwhelmed with what was going on around her, she listened as Sophie explained what they were doing right now. "Sounds good to me!"
Joining Adi and Jasmine, she started collecting planks, placing them neatly with the others. "I think this looks awesome!" Were they almost done the base? Or would they need to do a lot more? Skipping off, she went to get more planks.
There's some good in this world and it's worth fighting for| LOTR|Whovian|Sherlock Fan
As Cris was about to head off to pick up more planks of wood that the other group had helped bring over, Lux came over to volunteer to help work with the base. He smiled at her allowing Sophie to explain to her what the team would be doing.
The moment Sophie finished, Cris leaned over to Lux. "Hey Lux I wanted to tell you that the beehive decoration suggestion was really cool. Maybe when we're done, we could come back another day and paint them in, if Mr. Kirby allows us to," he suggested to his young Badger friend acknowledging her contribution.
He was glad that Sophie agreed to his idea to assign Toby the task that would not involve any heavy lifting but rather the spell work which he knew Toby was really talented at, especially for someone his age. Nodding in agreement, he turned to Adi who had carried three more planks over to add to their base foundation.
"Thanks Adi. I think we're going to need a few more," Cris replied to his question as he studied Bay's design. Then he turned to Jasmine coming carrying her own pile of three planks over to join Adi's.
"Thanks Jasmine," Cris thanked her, sharing an intimate smile with her. "That looks great, Jasmine," he told her as he leaned down and pushed all the planks together, aligning them up properly, so that they were lying evenly next to each other.
"I'll go help carry more wood," Cris told Sophie as he got back up and walked over to the planks of wood. He picked one up, and lay it flat across the cradle of his arm, before leaning down to pick up another. He stacked that on the first, before leaning down to pick up another, and then another.
With four planks of wood in his arms, he carried them back to where they were building the base. Cris carried those four planks of wood effortlessly which still continued to amaze him. Professor Culloden had been wise to come up with this project. This way they could use their new strength, for the sole purpose of helping others...in this case Mr. Kirby.
Placing his little burden down, Cris took the stack that Lux had placed just before him before adding his own and pushed them into place. "How are we doing? Is it time for Toby to charm them together?" he asked.

Grayson? "Nice to meet you, Grayson." And did he just give her a wink? She was squee-ing inside but she need to keep her cool. Ehem.
Candice looked around her group, yeah she didn't know anyone here. Oh wait someone was calling her name? She turned around and saw Kyroh. Well, at least she already knew someone here. "Hey, Kyroh!"
Then the Professor gave them more instruction and pointed Grayson as their leader? Well, she hoped that the older Slytherin boy had a brain that could matched his look. Grayson said they're going to be divided into two small groups, stone carries and fire pit builders. Since she's not much a builders so she gonna sticked with the first one. But it seem there's so many people in the stone carrier division so she just gonna joined the FIYAH people (Kace and Zander) "Let's go make some FIYAAAAAH, people." Excited first year here. "And, I'm Candice." Just in case they missed her introduction earlier.
Oh and look at it another person (Caleb) who wanted to join the group. "The more the merrier." Right, Mr. Leader?

She knew him well because he'd called her a variant of a parental name at the feast. PARENTAL. She was not a mother. She was not his mother. Just..a thought? Picking up another plank, Elodie nodded. "Sword fights could woooork." Yep, yep it could. Whilst the group deliberated or..started up their sword fight, she traipsed off with the plank on her shoulder, only to dump it with the others and head back to them a minute or so later.

Since there was more than one Sophie and it was necessary for her to distinguish that she was not a Newell.
Sophie was avoiding eye contact with Elodie for the time being after their spontaneous hug, sensing the older girl's discomfort with it. Maybe she should've apologized or something, but it was far easier to pretend like nothing had happened and simultaneously not make eye contact with the her. Heh. "We could do that," Soph responded to the "carrying five planks at a time" recommendation. They totally could, she bet. They were strong enough now!
She still thought sword-fighting was a fun idea, though, and just as she made her comment about it, Mr. Cutiepie Slytherin DECLARED WAR. "Oh, bring it on," she encouraged, grinning and holding her plank out in front of her, intentionally clashing hers with the Slytherin's - not hard enough to break either of them, and she wasn't planning on hitting anything but his plank - and made sword-clashing sound effects with her voice. Look at THEM, other groups. THEY WERE HAVING A BLAST.
Now that's how you do it! Ethan grinned at her and retaliated by hitting her plank too. Not too hard of course. They didn't want to end up in the hospital wing and such. Clank. Clank.

"Hi plank carriers! I'm your new member Leah." Hi Sophie, Els, firsties and weird boy. And a sword fight started off. "Woo, cool, a sword fight?" The second year picked up a plank and waved it in the air. It was kinda light. "Where do we move this to, anyway?" She looked around.

Angel brought up a fun thing to do with the planks, but first she wanted to get on that sword fight. Mmmhmm. The first year grabbed two planks in each hand and charged the group. "Arrrrrgh!" The planks were flailing about in her hand and all she needed to do was to make contact with someone else's planks.
And whoa! WHOA! Ethan got his plank up as AJ's piece of wood made contact. That was close! The Slytherin grinned and parried with AJ. Clank. Clank. Clank.
SPOILER!!: Maddie

This whole carrying ONE plank thing was almost TOO easy and as MORE people joined their group, the first year wondered if they should have a plank carrying COMPETITION! Winner got a sticker! As long as Kyroh let her borrow a sticker indefinitely. That would be FUN and competition might inspire them to work FASTER and the FASTER they worked, the SOONER they got to see the addition thinger done! MHM!
Introductions, though? Maddie should really get on that and so she PAUSED in her planking duties to point to herself. "Maddie OR Coop. First year Claw." Reporting for duty and stuff. Welcome to the group. Get to work. All that jazz. YUP.
Picking up TWO planks this time, Maddie headed BACK towards the builder people but was stopped by Skateboard boy challenging them to a PLANKING DUEL! Her eyes lit up a little and she stopped behind him, setting her planks down QUIETLY and inching forward. She was GOING to pick him up and show her SUPER strength but before she COULD, someone was charging them! WHAT?
The twelve year old's eyes widened and she quickly picked up HER two planks so the charging girl didn't trip or anything cause THAT might hurt, OUCH.
"Maybe a plank carrying competition would be safer." MAYBE. But while they were fighting, "Get 'em, Sophie person!" Eagles stuck together...right?
Don't. Just. Stand. There. They were being attacked, yeah? Clank. Clank. Oh wait, hold on. Was this a girls versus boy sword fight? UNFAIR. Ethan made himself the little Claw's shield. She better move now, with all the planks raised and such.
SPOILER!!: Culloden

"Yes?" he greeted the boy with enthusiasm, but upon hearing what he said... his face fall a little, as he was concerned, but it wasn't something he could help. If Toby didn't eat meat, it was his choice, yeah?
"...sure... No, I know your potion works, I don't need to test it." He smiled encouragingly. "Don't hurt yourself though, yeah? You can nail or arrange the smaller stones, maybe."
If he didn't drink the potion, it was up to him to make sure he wasn't hurt.
Listening to this boy... actually... he KNEW what he was doing!
"GROUP ONE!" he yelled to get their attention, "listen to your leader as I name him to direct it. He is - Mr. - okayhe'sthisguylistentohim."
Yeah.
Once he was done with other groups, he turned to the group that needed his direction the most. He watched Bay drawing something on the paper, and... this guy could draw. And calculate. And design. Cosgrach didn't say anything, but looked at his design secretly, and put it in his pocket quickly. Ooookayyyy. Okay. This wasn't going the way he wanted, but it was barely a problem for a professional Slytherin.
Butting in the discussion after Sophie, he said "Your plan looks great, yes." He smiled at the boy. "I know, for one, that there shouldn't be a roof. I was in the same year as him, y'see, and we were close buddies. He just loves the sun so much and we shouldn't block his view and whatever." Half of this was correct, and the other was a lie, but he was the BEST in lying, so he was VERY casual with it. And anyway, he knew they weren't that stupid to question a professor, let alone Cosgrach Culloden, so... ehehehe. He knew Orsino was going to 'enjoooooy' this.
"The floor should also be fully wooden. He loves it and stuff. And maybe we also shouldn't put any railings. Wouldn't want the big guy to feel suffocated, ya know?"
Yeeeeah.
OOC: I will post 15-16 hours later, so you guys can go ahead with the building or discussion or however you want to roll.
Maybe Professor Cosgrach should join? Outnumbered over here, professor! Eh...no? Insert pout here.
SPOILER!!: Mo

And since he spotted his little Ravenclaw buddy and his Sophie!sister in that middle group... why not, right?
Mo paused long enough to take his potion and wait for the after effects to wear off before he approached the plank-duelers. "Can I help?"
Ethan stepped back from AJ still with his plank held out in front of him, and almost jumped when he heard an older student's voice. FINALLY A BOY IN THE GROUP. "Sure." Ethan grinned at the older kid and pointed at the pile of planks. "We have to carry those...to that area over there." he said as he pointed next to the builders.
"Come on, guys." The Slytherin gestured the group to get down to business. Ethan crouched, placed a plank on his head...then topped it with another piece...and another piece. "Planks coming through!" he announced as he stood up and balanced the planks on his head and made his way towards the builders. Grinning, he placed both of his hands on his hips and greeted the builders. "Ahoy, me Hearties!" And with his greeting, he bowed and let the planks fall before him.

"It didn't go quite as planned." | The Underground Studio Translation: I may have caused irreversible damage on a monumental scale.
Lucy said:" It's a good job, Cris! I took my potion..if you need I can carry a couple of planks!
Angel was watching her sister when she suddenly realised that she had stopped doing what they were supposed to be doing and working, it was up to her sister to carry some wood, Angel wasn't doing everything for her sister this time her sister was on her own.
Angel picked up a few more planks and shouted. "CLEAR THE WAY!! MAD WOMAN COMING THROUGH!" Angel decided that she would see how fast she could run with the planks in her hands now that she was superwoman with the power to lift objects bigger than her.
Until... "But Bay's idea calls for screens," she pointed out. "How would we put up the screens if we scratched the roof part of the project?" Questions. She had 'em. So were the doing Bay'd idea or not? Or maybe they were going to do half Bay's idea and half the professor's idea. Either way... "Should I go gather some wood?" she asked the group.
Screens?
"What screens?" Made of what? Huh? Why did this kids liked Orsino so much to want to build complicated things? Bet they wouldn't move their little finger for poor old Cosgrach.
Well, Cosgrach was going to stop them before they went ahead and built a castle for that idiot.

"Some those in the other group are doing that and dropping it here for us to use, but I think we can help carry some ourselves, since we can't really start until we have those," Cris replied to her other question.
Ooooh...
"Why don't you let the wood plankers do the carrying? That's what we were divided into three groups." He smiled at Cris and Sophie - he understood their enthusiasm (NOT! He HOPED they were doing it for points and not for that stupid cry baby), but the wood plankers were also working, see?

so if they were going to go with that idea of the pergola then screen sides weren't needed… so he scratched it off on his drawing.. "Professor, another quick question does he like his privacy? because if he does we can add a privacy wall made out of a light material that still lets the light in but gives him that feeling that he's alone?" He had totally helped his father build a lot of things back at his house so he was very knowledgeable about building things.
Y'know, he normally would have appreciated Bay's brains, but right now it annoyed him because it was working for ORSINO, THE person Cosgrach purely hated.
"But we don't have those materials," he said to Bay in a completely neutral tone. "So no roof. Trust me, guys!" He smiled and clapped his hands twice to pep them up. "I know him." They could even check the dates and stuff if they wished? They truly were in the same year. Only... theyhatedeachotherokay?
"But he has his hut if he wants privacy." And no, he wasn't conjuring ANYTHING for that... person, so this new tech material was out of question as well.

"Maybe you haven't realised," he told the group,"but there are only two types of planks: 1-metre and half a metre. The beams are also half a metre high." Because...

"I'd appreciate it if we did this the muggle-way, yeah? Nails and hammers and stuff?" He had a BAG of those. "So no conjuring new material either. Sticking with Bay's plan, no roof and railings, and no tryin'tah cut the beams. Half a metre is good height for the base." Yeah? Yeah.
And this also answered Toby's situation. Hammers and nails. Good luck.
OOC: So yes, the builders should stick to only building, because that's the main idea of dividing into groups. You don't have to wait for the plankers to post, you can just act there is enough planks.
I'll try to post again in the evening, but I think you know 90% of how and what to build? :3 You're amazing!

General OOC: I forgot to add earlier: if you have finished 3 posts/your part/want to quit IC-wise as well, you don't have to wait for everyone to finish. You can post your characters letting Cosgrach know they are done for the day and leave.

Skateboard boy was shielding her? Maddie stifled a giggle because she was NOT a damsel in distress and the whole thing was amusing. She DID pretend to be all thankful and stuff, smiling and ALL. Maybe if she was SUPER nice, he'd let her have a turn with his skateboard later. MAYBE.
OH LOOK, Pretty Mo! Maddie stepped a good distance from Skateboard boy so she didn't whack him in the noggin and WAVED her planks at the older Ravenclaw. "HI MO." This counted as buddy bonding, yes? YES.
Since Skateboard boy seemed to be taking the LEAD, Maddie followed after him and watched the planks he was balancing on his head. BOYS were such showoffs. BIG WHOOP, he could balance planks. What could he do with his BRAIN, that's what SHE wanted to know.
"Are we PIRATES now?" Maddie added her two planks to the plank pile and considered this. Did that mean they could make people WALK the plank. HEH. She'd like to try THAT. She also wanted to make this experience FUN so she turned and called out to her group, "LAST PLANK CARRIER TO THE PLANK PILE IS A BUMBLING BILLYWIG!"

Yeah.
Hold the freaking phone.
LEADER?!
FREAKING. YEEEEEEEEEES. Grayson actually grinned at the Professor, showing his pearly white teeth and everything. He was in charge, snitches.
........................... Oh wait. Oh jeez. He had first years. Now he really DID have to babysit them, didn't he? Make sure they didn't get themselves into trouble or overexert themselves and whatnot. He shot Cutty a smirk, just because. Welcome to the group, Mordaunt.
Some were heading off to carry the stones. Brilliant. He smiled over at Hayden when she introduced herself, saluted Kyroh in return and called out, "Don't break your backs, mkay?" Otherwise his neck was on the line. And aside from that rule, he really didn't care whether they broke rocks or charmed some to fly at each other in an epic rock battle.
................ If it was the second one, he was SO joining in.
Trusting Gold with them, Grayson rubbed his hands and turned his attention towaaaaaards Mr New Person (Caleb). "'Course! We're just splitting into two groups: one that makes the firepit and the other that carries the rocks over." So pick a side, new person.
And speaking of carrying stones, this new one over here (Tora) was already doing so. "YOOOOO!" He liked this one. She greeted people in a cool way. Cool points for you, new person. "Just leave it here, Superwoman. Thaaaaaanks!" He flashed her a smile too and a small wink.
Jeez, he was being nice. This needed to stop.
Clearing his throat, he turned his attention to the FIYAH people. "Okay, sooooo has anyone got any ideas on what kind of firepit we want to make?" Round ones? A square one? A fancy schmancy one? "And the more stones the other lot collect, the bigger the fire pit we can make?" What did they think?

Kyroh (Kaos.Doodles)
Hayden (littledhampir)

Jasmine saw Ethan coming with a stack of planks to add to their pile. "Hi Ethan."Thanks for the planks", Jasmine said gratefully. Seeing that they still needed a few more planks to complete the base, Jasmine grabbed three and slid them into place. The base was really shaping up and this porch was going to look fantastic when they were finished with it.
Getting up to get three more planks from the pile, Jasmine retrieved them and laid them on the already assembled portion of the base. Once again, she carefully put the planks in place one by one. Jasmine made sure that each one was evenly placed and properly in line with the others. Looking around at the rest of the group, Jasmine asked, "How many more of these do you think we need to complete the base?"
Professor Culloden stopped by to give the group further direction. He made clear what would and would not be allowed. Apparently hammers and nails were available to be used so they would be putting the planks together muggle-style.
