| | Hufflepuff Girl's Dormitory Banner created by Lockhartian If you chose the round door to the left, you will soon find yourself inside the girl's dorms. Each year has a room of its own, and if this is your first time here at Hogwarts, there will always be someone there to help you find your way. The rooms are spacious, furnished with comfortable wooden bedsteads, each covered in patchwork quilts.
Come inside and make yourself at home, get to know your fellow roommates, but don't stay up too late, you wouldn't want to miss any of your classes! There are absolutely no boys allowed in the girl's dorms. Should a curious male wander through the wrong round door, his path will be blocked off immediately, and no spell he attempts will remove the obstacle.
Best to keep to yourself gentlemen, I wouldn't bother trying if I were you. |

| Divination Homework: Post #2 ∞ 17 | RP entrepreneur | defies gravity | Miss George is flawless | blanket burrito lyfe After gathering everything out of her trunk and onto her bed, Elodie sat with her paints, her crayons and her stash of pressed flowers from Tristan. She stuck her tongue out as she got on with her card, the concentration showing that she didn't want to get anything wrong at all. Actually, if she did... she was probably going to cry.
Once the painted paper had dried properly, she added the stripes on with another layer of paint before taking her fine brush and a steady hand to manage the greeting on the front of the card. It was a lengthy task, waiting for the paint to dry whilst keeping the paper flat, but once that was done she got to glue on the pressed flower in the corner. In a pretty colour. It was one of her favourites, but Tristan had sent her like ten of these and she was sure that putting one on a card for Professor Botros wasn't a bad thing.
See, nice. Real nice.
It didn't take her too long to fill out the inside of the card, but the pink ink took extreme care to not smudge, and whilst she waited for it to dry, she drew out the bird.
Yeah, this card was positive and cheery.
She'd said he was cool, hadn't she?
She'd leave it overnight to dry out properly before she actually took it to him.

| Charms Homework #2 - Post 1 ♥s her SS family l Wifey is MINE | Naughty Niffler l Whittysaur l #awkwardturtle<# The first place Lux thought of insulating for the homework assignment was her dormitory. This Puff did not like the cold, and wanted a nice and toasty place to sleep.
Professor Fuller had said something about seeing a fog if the spell worked, so she would be on the look out for that.
Standing by her bed, she thought that it would be a good idea to get in some more practice before casting. "Caelum Saepio... Caelum Saepio..." First speaking slowly and then gaining speed, she let herself get accustomed to saying the incantation before moving on to the wand movement. That part never stopped being easy at least; effortlessly her wand moved though the air as she drew figure eight after figure eight.
Once she was confident enough in her ability to perform the spell, Lux found a section of her wall and pointed her wand at it. Making the figure eight motion, she said, "Caelum Saepio!" The slight fog that caused meant that she had done the spell correctly. Casting the spell until she was sure that the whole area was insulated, she felt it was time to move on to somewhere else. |

| Shaaaaaaaaaaan <3 Hallie knocked firmly on the door of Prefect Elodie's dorm. She smoothed her skirt with her hands and looked over her shoulder while she waited for it to be answered.
She'd grown restless of loitering around the castle, particularly as the end of the school year was approaching. She craved summertime; her chance to be on her own and spread her wings and convince her parents to let her to go traveling with them again. Her sister felt differently, no doubt, but if Halcyon had learned anything this year it was that Coral didn't need her.
Of course, Prefect Elodie was graduating soon, which made Hallie a little sad. Though she supposed having someone she knows out in the real world would be useful in the long run. Hallie was very focused on networking to get herself where she wanted to be in life, and although most people at Hogwarts seemed useless to her goals, smart and gorgeous and Prefect Elodie Robertser was someone to keep in contact with.

Hallie was very focused on networking to get herself where she wanted to be in life, and although most people at Hogwarts seemed useless to her goals, smart and gorgeous and Prefect Elodie Robertser was someone to keep in contact with. It was becoming a habit of hers to sit for an hour a day with her two-way mirror, even if she wasn't actually communicating with it. A lot of the time, that hour resulted in a nap, and by heck was she having a lot of those. The weather was cold enough to make her need to keep adding layers, and the more layers she added..the sleepier she got. The cold weather made nap in actual fact.
However, since she was used to being at home and having one of the kids walk in, she was used to waking up pretty easy enough and sat up almost immediately at the knock on her dormitory door. "C'miiiiiiiiin," she called alongside a yawn and the usage of her wand to open the door properly. This had better of been worth it. Actually, she was sure no one really ventured to the seventh year dorms unless they seriously wanted something, because it wasn't like the girls there were a happy-go-lucky bunch. Olly hated people, Elodie hated people and Bliss was just Bliss...and she regularly got ignored for prolonged times because it was easier than Elodie yelling at her for being an idiot or wanting to punch her again.
Ah, one of the Aldrich twins. Her favourite one, of course. Hufflepuff automatically made her the favourite. The other one was only tolerated because she was Sophs friend and Sophs adored her or something like that. She patted her bed for the third year to come on in, pointing out with a look that she wasn't moving from her bed unless someone had died or there was something hysterical to come and watch. "S'up, rugrat?"

"S'up, rugrat?" Hallie's head snapped forward again as the door creaked open on its own. She folded her hands in front of her chest and leaned her head in first, peeking around. "Hm. I imagined it looking different in here." She hadn't been to any dorm room but her own, so she was expecting the older girls had nicer ones. She shuffled inside and politely shut the door behind her.
She did a slow little spin while she headed towards Elodie's bed, continuing her inspection of the room. "Hello, Miss Elodie. I was wondering if I could ask you something." She plopped on the edge of the bed and smoothed her skirt on her knees again. She had to wear wool tights with it in this freeze, and it often bunched.
Her eyes finally fell on the Prefect and she smiled bemusedly. "You look cozy." |

Her eyes finally fell on the Prefect and she smiled bemusedly. "You look cozy." Different? With a quirk of her eyebrow, Elodie laughed and shook her head. "Only difference is we're more awesome in here and I've decorated with paper chains and Olly and I's colourings." And as she spoke about each thing, she pointed them out with the hand that wasn't placing the mirror on a nearby cabinet. The paper chains were actually orange and pink today, a sign that the Prefect was in high spirits and had definitely had conversations that made her happy. The colourings though...well they weren't as much as had been in their dorms for the past few years, clearly as they hadn't gotten up to much.
Sad times made it incredibly hard to colour. Miss Elodie... "You don't have to call me that, you know? Elodie is perfectly fine. Not that I'm complaining.. But sure..ask ahead." Or was this going to be a conversation that she didn't really want to have? Was it going to be like one of her conversations with Sophs or Marigold? One of those? The seventh year reached a hand behind her for Gavin the panda bear and sat him in her lap and rested her chin on his head. "I just woke from a nap, is all. It's pretty cosy in here though.. Would you like a blanket? Are you cold?"

Would you like a blanket? Are you cold?" "I like the decorations. I have some drawings hanging in my dorm of flowers and dragons and my frog, but not many. Maybe next year I'll do more." She looked around again. She liked that Elodie liked to color and make paper chains and be playful in that way even though she's so grown up. Sometimes Hallie was critical of herself for still playing tag and things with CB because others might not take her seriously, but she wanted to hold onto some childish parts of herself anyway. Elodie pulled it off while still being respected. That's what Hallie wanted for herself, too.
"It means I respect you, to call you Miss. Would you really like me not to?" she asked while fiddling with her hair. "Well. You're not going to be here next year, and I find a lot of the people at this school to be tedious, or well, more just that they don't benefit me. I was wondering, if my plans to convince my parents to take me traveling again fail and I end up back in this place next year, would it be okay if I wrote to you? If I needed womanly advice and such?"
Hallie smiled at the Prefect. "I am a little bit cold. If you don't mind sparing a blanket?" |

Hallie smiled at the Prefect. "I am a little bit cold. If you don't mind sparing a blanket?" At the request of a blanket, Elodie offered one of the ones she'd knitted herself in the hell that had been the last couple of months. "Keep it, I have more than enough," she admitted with a gesture to the pile on the other side of the room. Those were all hers. She was positive that she owned more blankets than she did clothes at this time. She'd probably have more if she hadn't have ran out of wool. This owl thing was really getting to her and she very much so wanted to go home. "You should. For definite. I've always found it's easier to put my energy into decorating my dorms than hitting people." Because that wasn't exactly a thing that a Prefect should be doing. "I can leave you some of the colouring books we haven't finished off, if you'd like?" She was going to owl them to the first year dorms next year but she also didn't really want to. Her babies were her books.
Els shrugged, and pushed a small piece of hair into her bun. "I'm aware you respect me, Hallie, I am. I just don't want you to think that's what I need you to call me." She also didn't want people to assume that that was what she'd asked to be called. Reputation or not, Elodie was over people thinking bad things about her now. She managed a smile though, at her decision that the people here were pains in the places they shouldn't be and nodded. "You can write to me even if you need to tattle on someone leaving smelly socks in your dorm."
She didn't look super excited about the thought of getting letters, but she was on the inside. It was nice to know someone other than Sophs and Choo would want to hear her words of 'wisdom' and what not.
