Kace shrugged innocently. "Hey i have a huge sweet tooth, i can admit it." he said looking at his pile. He did have a problem but his mother wasn't here to lecture him and he liked it. "I see your a chocolate frog fan huh?" he smirked. "You going to buy some and not let me seem like a pig?" he asked with a chuckle.
Then she asked him an interesting question....did he ever merge two different types of candies together. He had not. "Noo i haven't, which candies do you recommend i merge together?" he asked for her advice.
"Oh my gosh they're like my favorite!" She squealed. Silver totally understood sweet tooth's, she would always have them. However she's been off lately.
Hmmm.
Silver scanned the sugary delights then beamed. Ah. Totally. "Sugar quills and flavored beans." Oh yeah! Awesome mix, course you might get sick. "Ooh! And if you're feeling a little daring, then you can merge all these different kinds of gum. Oh yeah like a boss!" Best believe Silver's done it before.

Kace noted to get her chocolate frogs for a gift in the future. Then he heard her suggestion and he nodded agreeing. "Hmm...interesting concoction. I will try it when we get back to hogwarts. Maybe we can do it in the kitchens?" he suggested. "I guess you would be down for that right?" he asked her.
He even chuckled at her suggestion with the different kinds of gum. "Alright i will do that....like a boss! As you put it." he elbowed her jokingly. "How has your year been going by the way?" he asked wondering how she has been doing.
"Mummy is here somewhere. But she's talking to old people and I wanted sweets so I came in here alone," Harper told her, reaching up to grab another blood pop to replace the one he'd handed over to Gwen. He should probably grab a few more sweets that he liked as well. He didn't know when his mummy would allow him to come back here again.
"Are your parents here?" he asked Gwen in return, looking around to see if he could spot anyone. It didn't seem like she'd come in here with an adult. Maybe she'd run away like he had? It would certainly explain why she didn't want him making a scene.
Gwen grinned a little. So this boy had run away like she did. Maybe she should mean her apology. Maybe. She looked at the shelves, grabbing a few more blood pops for her dad.
"My dad's outside talking to some old friends from when he went to Hogwarts. I was bored so I came in here." See. Same exact thing. Old people really needed to not bore their children with those types of conversations.

"I know what you mean. They just ignore you when other adults are around. I bet my mummy wont even notice that I'm not there," because she was distracted talking to her friends about a divorce. Harper wondered what that was since mummy said daddy had asked for one. She said she wouldn't give him one though which made Harper kind of sad. Maybe if she did daddy would come back.
"Do you know what a divorce is?" Harper suddenly asked Gwen. Maybe since she looked older she'd know about it. He'd have asked 'Melia if he could see her since she knew lots that he didn't.

Gwen nodded. "Don't they understand we're more important than their friends?" Because they were. Wasn't that the whole point of having kids? To get away from your friends. "My dad will notice soon." Unfortunately. Which meant her time alone was going to end and she would get yelled at and she didn't want that.
That word. That icky word. "Yes. It's when you're parents split up forever. My mum and dad got one two years ago. Now mum has a new husband. Dad doesn't like him." She didn't know why. He wasn't that bad. He bought her candy and clothes and anything she wanted.

She was right. Parents should be paying more attention to their children than they paid to other adults. His parents had never gotten that message though. "Mummy never really notices. As long as I'm back before she stops talking," if he wasn't he'd get in lots of trouble. She yelled a lot lately though so Harper was getting used to it.
Split up forever? He didn't want his mummy and daddy to not be together anymore. They were meant to be a family and stay together for life. "So my daddy wants to leave my mummy? Does that mean I wont see daddy anymore?" he asked, upset by the thought. If he had to live with anyone he wanted to live with his daddy. Daddy was much nicer than mummy and he yelled lots less.

Gwen moved down the shelves a bit, back towards her beloved sugar quills. "Dad might have one of those days. He hasn't seen them since school apparently...and that was a really long time ago." It had to be since her daddy was so old now and all that.
Oh no. She'd upset the poor kid. Gwen remembered how that felt. It was a bad feeling to have. "If he wants a divorce yes. But that doesn't mean you won't get to see him. I just saw my mum at Christmas and I stayed there last summer." It made her realize how much she missed her mum...and how mean her dad was sometimes. Mum let her do and have whatever she wanted. Daddy didn't.

Harper nodded in agreement as he followed Gwen back towards the Sugar Quills. He didn't love them but he grabbed a few anyway. Sweets were sweets. Her daddy must have been in Hogwarts a very long time ago. His mummy and daddy had both gone to school forever ago, years before 'Melia was born even and she'd been fourteen when he was born.
"So daddy still loves me?" because Harper still loved daddy and he didn't want him not to love him. He wasn't too sure if his mummy loved him anymore. 'Melia had told her that she had a heart of ice and didn't know what love was. She'd also said some other words that Harper didn't understand but he couldn't ask because he'd been eavesdropping and he wasn't meant to do that. "I want to live with daddy," he said solemnly, realising that divorce would mean they wouldn't all live together anymore.

Gwen grabbed as many as she could hold. Yes they were her favorite. She didn't even know how much they were, but she knew she wanted a lot of them. Hopefully she had enough Christmas money to buy them. Or she could try and sneak out too. If only her pockets were bigger...
Gwen shrugged. "Yeah unless he told you he didn't. But I don't know your daddy." It was true. She knew her mum still loved her. She told Gwen all the times in her letters. "I'd rather live with my mum...but I didn't have much of a choice." Her mum was soo much nicer.

She giggled, jokingly and gently elbowing him back. Causing her to laugh a little.
Hmm. Has it been a good or bad year?
"Oh my gosh, my year has been craaaazy. I've met cool and not so cool people. But meh, it's been alright." Silver still felt disappointed in her dance partner, from dance lessons. "And what about you, Kace? How has your year been?" So far it seemed like the kid was doing very well at Hogwarts.

Best dad? Jasper found it hard to believe that Phillip would say that to him after left him over and over again when him and Caroline would get into fights all the time. Maybe if she didn't cheat on him then they would get along. "Thank you, kiddo." Jasper nodded and watched him run down the aisle.
Jasper needed to make an effort of hanging out with Phillip more often, he didn't want to leave the poor kid forever. Blink. Blink. CANDY! Jasper followed close to Phillip. Jasper looked at the candy his son was looking at. He didn't think he had ever tried that one. "I don't believe I've tried it before." anything with cockroach in it couldn't be good

And manners would have been returned if it wasn't for the fact that Phillip was too excited about being in here in the first place. TOO TOO TOO EXCITED! Jonny had a lot to live up to now! And HA! KAT! He could almost see the expression on her face when he'd get home and tell her ALL about this day. She was going to be J E A L O U S! HA! So much for going broom shopping for her birthday, where she could have gotten a better broom than the one Phillip had. And to think that she had one-upped him that time. HA! He was soooooo going to rub this in her stupid, annoying face.
Dad hadn't tried this piece of candy before? Curious, Phillip leant closer and stared at the candy. "Hereeeee, roachy roa-- SWEET MERLIN!" Where those ACID POPS? Forget about the now-BORING cockroach clusters, he had something ELSE in mind. Picking up one, he examined it closely before saying, "Mummy wouldn't let me get these because she says that they burn a hole in your tongue." A dark, scowling look crossed his face at that. It wasn't FAIR, okay? And of course, Jonny would agree with her because he was a big ol' softie.

"I guess it could have...or maybe mad to taste like it like Berty Botts." Either option fit the bill on the choices one might come to expect from the collection
The Gryffindor glanced another look around the shop, the boy wandering a little with his friend. So he wasn't aware of Adi's attention on him or any clue to future intentions.
"I like sour candies," he answered tentatively with another shrug as he looked back, revealing something that one might have not necessarily picked up in passing. It was random. Ben hadn't found much wizarding candy that fit the bill though, and clung instead to the stuff his grandparents had introduced one visit to the states. "Chocolate's okay though. " Even if sometimes he simply prefered it in beverage form, especially hot.
Second thoughts yet for Adi and the Blood Pops? Nope, though he really hoped the Pops were indeed like Bertie Bott's and made to taste like blood. Imagine consuming real blood...yack! He was no vampire.
He nodded at Benny. "I'll get two then,'' the Puffer said. He made his was over to the oddities section and grabbed two of the Pops and returned to where Benny was browsing the shelves. "One for you and one for me,'' he said, waving them happily under his friend's nose. One could say Adi was extra cheerful today. Not even annoying joint pains, gray hair or wrinkles could spoil his day. He was still on cloud 9 since Sophie agreed to be his valentine.
But now he wrinkled his nose. Sour candies? His best friend was a weird one, yes? But that was Benny choice of candies. ''You have a sour tooth there, Benny,'' he joked. "But I wanna try some of them so you can get some for me, please.'' Especially since Adi was going to make him try Blood Pops, the least the Hufflepuff could do was give sour candies a try.

"Well that is good, i mean crazy is usually good. Hogwarts makes you feel crazy, i mean in my first year i felt like that." Now she asked him and he knew it was coming.
He chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck and said, "Well my year has been going good. I got to go on a date with a girl i liked for a while." he grinned sheepishly. He felt that he could trust her with this information.

Holy Hogwarts hottie. The boy who just spoke to her, hello. She smiled up to him because he was reaching over her to grab some himself. "Yeah. I bet you could convince any professor by doing that." She laughed. Then placed the chocolate frogs back on the shelf and grabbed more quills.
Mitchell laughed. "I personally just speak American and it seems to be enough to get them off my back." True story. And yes, there was a difference between British and American.
"Do you go to Hogwarts? I don't believe I've seen you around." he said looking her over. He was pretty sure he'd remember her. "I'm Mitchell."

Oooh interesting.

She was taller than he was so Harper thought she might be able to grab them. He was only going to be in this sweet shop for a little while and so he had his priorities, even if they were slightly skewed.

Ruby had pulled her younger friend into a hug just like her mother had done to Vashti. "Hello Gina" she grinned before smiling up at her Godmother.
Vashti laughed. "I suppose I'll accept that answer," she replied as she returned her friend's hug. "You know I'll have to get even now though," she continued, pulling away with a teasing grin. Then she bent down a little so she was eye level with her goddaughter Ruby. "How're you doing, Ruby?" she asked with a smile. "Enjoying Hogsmeade?"
Regina hugged Ruby tightly. "Hey Ruby!" It was nice to see one of her friends here! Then she beamed up at her godmother. "Yeah!" she replied happily. "Me and Naia and Daddy!" They didn't ALWAYS get to take home a lot of sweets, 'specially magic ones. But TODAY they were and that was awesome! Gina definitely liked them whenever they got them. "D'you have a kind you like a lot?" Maybe she'd try the candy she liked!

Gwen was still contemplating where she'd be able to stick some sweets to sneak out with if she didn't have enough money when Harper spoke up again. She looked down at the shorter boy, ignoring the first bit of his statement.
"How many do you want?" She asked as she reached up and started grabbing some, stuffing one in her packed arms as well. Variety was good sometimes.
Silver giggled. "I believe you." She nodded, smiling. Her mouth felt as if her teeth were gonna fall off. But again she wasn't going to flaunt her pains.

"It is a lot of fun." he assured her. He was glad she didn't ask who she was. He didn't want to reveal who Marigold was yet. Plus he didn't know if they were technically official yet.
When she mentioned ice skating, his eyes light up. "Oh have you ice skated before?" he asked her curiously. "I mean i gotta know what i am dealing with." he joked with her.

"Are you daring me to eat one of them? Tessa you know that it's hard for me to back away from a dare, so here goes," Sander told her as he picked one out of the container and popped it into his mouth and began chewing on it.
It tasted horrible but he knew that it wouldn't be manly of him to admit it, so he tried to hide the distaste from his face, even as he tried swallow the crunchy bits. Were they bits of cockroach, Sander didn't even want to think about it. All he knew was that the aftertaste was horrible.
When he managed to swallow down the lump in his mouth, he pointed out the fudge to Tessa. "I love fudge....chocolate....maple...anything that is fudge.. What about you? What is your favorite candy?" he asked her in return.
Yes it wouldn't hurt to ask just to verify that his earlier choice was acceptable or not.
Sander paused and waited for Tessa to look down at the fudge he was pointing out, because the moment she did, he was going to clean out his tongue!!
Tessa studied the cockroach clusters, trying to keep the look of disgust off her face. She mostly succeeded, and only those that really knew her would be able to tell. She turned to Sander with a grin.
"Of course," she said with a soft laugh. She watched, trying not to gag as she watched Sander eat the candy. Watching him carefully, she could see how hard he was trying to hide how he felt about the taste- and she wasn't going to say anything about it. After all, he had eaten one of those things- which she was avoiding doing.
She nodded, feeling the knot of tension loosen in her stomach. So, what she had picked was perfect. She turned to look at the fudge, as if she hadn't already selected some of it earlier. "This all looks delicious," she murmured against the glass. "Favorite? Anything really," she replied with a soft laugh. "But, you can't go wrong with chocolate," she told him with a laugh. "The more chocolate the better!"

Toothflossing Stringmints wasn't exciting. Ruby made a face. And nougat? Ruby considered this. While she didn't think that was really going to be diet candy, she WAS just a kid and therefore liked candy and therefore was TOTALLY willing to be convinced.
"What flavours ARE there?" She peeeeeered at the nougats. Hmm.
