Connor saw the eye rolling happening. He smirked a little bit cause you know..hard not to smirk at a cute girl when your life was just in danger and all she can do is make fun of you, right? Suuuuuure, we'll go with that. He was standing closer to her now and he felt a little safer. "Yeah, i know..i did too. I should have waited for you and those big scary guns for yours, that would have come in handy." He joked but he really wasn't trying to be brave at all, it just kinda happened before he could think about it.

Then he stopped to think about that why were they out here? "Is that not normal here?" He assumed not but he hadn't been here more than a few months. "This is one of those weird things you were telling me about, huh?"

The mother Unicorn still seemed mad even with them backing away, so of course that made Lux feel even MORE on edge. Behind Professor Thompson she went then. At least everyone was safe now.

The question as to why the Unicorns were in Hogsmeade was a good one. "I wonder if there are other creatures wandering around here. More Unicorns..." Seeing two on a busy street was strange for sure.

Which pub would it be?

In dire need of a drink and some lunch, Wiley Wilkes stood in the middle of Hogsmeade's street. It had been a while since he'd visited a pub that wasn't around the corner from his Hilton and Mattie's flat, other than the Leaky, so he'd decided now was as good a time as any to broaden his horizons a bit further. Knowing very well that there was a shot at seeing Kitten, his eyes grazed over the kids standing around and-

Unicorns?

Were those unicorns?

The 27 year old did a double take, shrugged and went back to thinking over which pub he was going to spend his lunch hour in. He straightened his concierge uniform, not at all bothered by how out of place he might look and wondered if any adults around had a preference in pub. Hilton and Mattie had been no help at all.

Were there any adults around?

Adelaide gave him a smile. She fought back the laugh only because she didn't want to upset the unicorn mother. She seemed completely on edge and Addi couldn't blame her. "I don't think they'll be much help here."

She shook her head at Connor's question. "No it's not. They usually stay in the forest." Hence the reason this was the first time she'd seen them. She looked over at Lux. "I didn't see anything on my way down here..."

She looked at Professor Thompson, wondering what he was going to do about this.

Angry mothers of all kinds were not one to mess with. Even with the one of the most delicate of all creatures, Unicorns were no exception to that as it was currently mimicking some of the characteristics of a Bull. It was time to make it quick.

What was good was the students obeyed and had backed up, but not enough for the Unicorns to feel safe. And some were talking, waving his arm in a backwards motion at them, "Keep back and quiet everyone." His voice still firm. The Unicorns wanted their space, and space was what they were going to get.. oh, and food too. As Javy could see the foal's behavior being consistent to hunger. It wouldn't be appropriate of the Creature Professor to not have any extra food with him. Especially since he had to maintain his class area where a lot of the creatures lived. So reaching into one of his coat's inner pockets, he pulled out a bundle of hay and grass.

Separating it into three parts, he offered it for the young ladies (GrapehGrape, Deezerz, Squishy). "You three young ladies will each offer them your part of the feed. Do not get too close before setting it down and then back away immediately." Since the three were automatically the more trusting to the creatures. "Mr. Jones stay back here with me since we're the most threatening to them." As unfortunate as it was. Javy as of now was only staying just in case things go wrong for them.

Connor was about to whisper something back to Addi but then he was being told not to speak. So he was silent and watched as the girls were given things to feed the Unicorns. He looked back to the Professor and just nodded, staying put, he was curious about this, was it just hunger that pulled them from the forest? But if so what was wrong in the forest? Could it be connected at all with what Professor Morgan had said to him about the Thestrals. Very curious indeed..

Kace was glad he guessed right. It was kind of hard to see out here. The wind was too strong. But he smiled when he saw his friend. "Hey Jun! Oh I am trying not to freeze my butt off too. But my holiday is going well. I went on a vacation with one of my friends and I just got back today.." he trailed off when he saw something peculiar.

Kace saw a unicorn! He couldn't believe his eyes. He close his eyes and then opened them to make sure he wasn't being tricked. He even nudged Jun to make sure he wasn't seeing things. "Dude do you see that.."

It smelled it. The sweet aroma of fresh hay and grass. Fresher than the frost bitten plants the herd had been grazing on recently at least. Eagerly, the foal hopped in place. It's dainty hooves made soft CLACK CLACK CLACK sounds against the pavement while still being shielded by its mother.

The mare neighed loudly and stomped her hooves, but even she could not resist the tantalizing aroma.

Perhaps if the lady humans took a step or two closer she would be willing to intercept....

Hogsmeade was officially the coolest place ever. She had so many places to go, and things to try. The first year already knew that she would be having to check out the sweet shop first. AJ wondered if would differ from the one in Diagon Alley. Either way candy would be had, and all would be right in the world.

Adjusting her scarf, she saw something move out of the corner of her eye. Thinking that it was just her scarf blowing in the wind she continued on. A few more paces proved that it definitely was something other than her scarf. Turning her head in the direction of the movement, AJ was momentarily stunned. Her eyes glazed over and her mouth was slack. Unicorns, there were unicorns right in front of her. Sweet chocolate frogs! Once she was able to move again, she rubbed her eyes just to make sure. They were there, and there was a baby.

Not even thinking, her body reacted. AJ's little legs were on a mission. She was full out running and "UNICORNS!!!" escaped from her mouth. Not wasting a second, she flung herself on the older one. "Giddy up," she demanded. Could her dreams really be coming true? Could she have the baby as a pet?

Bryant pulled his cloak tighter around him and readjusted his scarf as he stood at the base of the street in Hogsmeade, waiting for Mel to catch up after leaving the castle behind. He had told her to meet him here so they could grab a butterbeer and do some tutoring. In reality, he had plans other than just grabbing something to drink and studying some. He noticed some others further down the street seeming to gather around something, but that wasn't of interest to him right now. Instead, he focused on trying to find Mel and trying to keep warm. She'd better get there soon because he was getting cold staying still outside in the middle of winter. Blowing on his gloved hands, he tried to keep feeling in his hands so he could actually get stuff done once they went inside.

Like really. It was way colder than usual. Jun didn't remember it being this cold last term. But then again, half the school was old and breaking their bones everywhere. So that didn't really count. "Oh? Where'd you go?" he asked, but tilted his head when Kace's voice trailed off. The boy recieved a nudge and turned towards where Kace was.

Unicorns.
No big deal.

Except it really was! And why were they out of the forest? Jun had seen one before, when exploring the forest with Lou that night. *coughcough* "You've never seen one before? It's weird seeing them out of the forest,"

Opening her mouth to reply to Addi, Lux immediately closed it again when Professor Thompson told them to be quiet. He was the animal expert here, so she would listen to anything that the man told them to do. Watching, she saw him take some hay and grass. Wow, he was prepared for anything the way that Tessa was; it rather impressed her.

Food in hand, she carefully and slowly laid some on the ground for the poor hungry baby Unicorn. Immediately backing away again, she stood by Conner and watched. The mommy Unicorn still seemed distrustful, but hopefully she and the baby would eat the straw and grass.

Or not.....

... Sweet Circe!!! Either Angel or AJ had just doomed them all.

Melek wobbled down the street, trying to rush since she was already late but still trying to look nice. It was one of the first times that she actually wore high heels. Ever since Bryant and her started growing closer, she had been secretly practicing being girly. Mel was wanting to catch his eye since she had a crush on her friend. He was almost to the point of being a better friend than Annaleecia. Mel always kinda had a crush on him but it grew as their friendship grew. She spotted Bryant down the street sometime and darted in between two buildings real quick. She pulled out a mirror and glanced at her make-up, happy that it looked semi-okay. Melek smoothed out her outfit and practiced walking in heels in the small alley a few times before exiting it and continuing down the street. Mel fixed her hair then tapped his shoulder, "Hey, Bryant..." She did a hair flip, messing it up a little. "Sorry, I am late.... I..." wanted to look pretty for you... "lost track of time while reading..." She gave a giggle which was unusual for her.

Beverly was quick to understand what Professor Thompson's intentions were. She's read enough books to put things together, so many she felt it should be common sense. With a firm nod, one that said she wouldn't fail, Beverly took the bundle of hay and grass.

Okay. This was her moment. Beverly Wayne was planning to succeed.

Hell. She WOULD.



Slowly and cautiously, Beverly stepped forward, her arm outstretched in front of her, the food resting on her palm. She took a few settling breaths to keep her hand from trembling, but it did nothing. She was much too excited and nervous.

Making sure to step on clear ground, as to not snap anything or make any sudden noises she kept taking slow step after slow step. She could see the mare try and resist the food. She couldn't. She was hungry and she wanted it. And Beverly would give it if she got close and--

HOLY ANTIPODEAN OPALEYES.

That girl...she just...Beverly stood still and rigid.

They were doomed.

Connor watched calmly as the girls seemed to step forward to feed the Unicorns and then...that happened, it was a girl from his house too. Merlin! She was going to get herself hurt, or someone else.. He looked to Professor Thompson and hoped he had some kind of plan or idea or something. Then to Addi, hoping she'd move out of the Unicorns possible path and be safe, he didn't want anything to happen to anyone, but especially not her.

His mind was still on how this could be related to the Thestrals, they were both horse-like creatures, The unicorns behaving strangely and the Thestrals were predicted to, maybe he needed to ask Professor Thompson and Professor Morgan.

The foal was the first to take a nibble from the food being offered by one of the humans (Deezerz) while the mare continued to be cautious. She was almost close enough to the other human (Squishy) to take a bite....


Rearing back on her hind legs and her front legs waved frantically in the air to try and knock the human off her back.

Spooked, the foal leaped backwards. It wanted to run away, but it was afraid of being alone without its mother. So it remained a little off to the side of the scene. Trembling from fear, confusion, and hunger.

He was late. And Mordred’s going to kill him.

Why didn’t he sit up when Simon nudged him from his beautiful sleep??? “I…am so dead.” He said to himself as he ran towards the path where it will lead him to the main street of Hogsmeade. As he was running, he felt a bit…warmer? “What…in Merlin’s coat is going on?” he said in a murmer as he loosened his scarf. The young Slytherin slowed down as he saw up ahead that there was a little group formed in the center with their Magical Creatures Professor and…UNICORNS??!

Ethan stopped, well away from the scene as he gaped at the creatures. Wait, did he miss something from the noticeboard? Were they supposed to be in Hogsmeade on a weekend for a CoMC class? Not wanting to make a scene, the Slytherin inched towards the nearest wall, awaaaaaay from the Unicorns and watched them from afar. Merlin, that creature can kick all right.

Yeah, Mordred can wait.

Austin walked out into the cold air again, hoping things would have warmed up a bit. It didn't, but it seemed as though the unicorns were still running wild through the street. He wasn't going to bother with any of them, until he saw a small one shivering off to the side. He wasn't entirely sure what it was, but there was definitely something wrong with him. Maybe he was cold? Although there wasn't much Austin could do to keep it warm, he couldn't even figure out how to keep himself warm.

Maybe it was hungry? He wasn't sure what unicorns liked to eat, but his mother had sent him some potion materials that were still in his bag. He looked around for a bit, trying to find something that would help. After a second or two he found some grass his father had sent him. Apparently he heard about how cold it was at Hogwarts, and he thought it would be funny to send over some grass, to rub it in Austin's face that he should have come home for the holidays.

He pulled the grass out of the envelope from his dad, and held it out for the unicorn. He tried not to spook the creature anymore than it already was, so he hunched down a bit, and moved towards it slowly. He thought it best that the unicorn come to him, instead of the other way around.

This was the best ride EVER! AJ held on to dear life as the unicorn started bucking like a bull. Awww... did she startle it? She really didn't mean to. The unicorn most likely just didn't understand how bad the first year wanted one of them for a pet.

Still holding on she decided to pet the animal to show that she meant no harm. Deciding that petting clearly wasn't enough, the brunette leaned forward and whispered sweet nothings into the majestic creatures' ear. "Shh... shh... let me love you." If only Fuller could see her now. AJ didn't need to read no stinkin' books on unicorn care. All they needed was love.

Laura was shocked with all the unicorns around, she couldn't believe it. she wanted to sort things out. "Hey how are you Lux?" Laura then decided that she was a graduated student and maybe the Professor could use some help.

"Need any help?" Laura couldn't remember if she knew this Professor she didn't think she did. "Lux be careful!" Laura wondered why even though now she had left the school these things happened to her.

Lovely.. Miss Carrington had been one of the first to offer some food to the Unicorns and did so just fine. Now for the other girls, he had waited.. evidently some surprises took place as more were arriving on the scene. This was no longer going as planned for Professor Thompson. But no matter, a little change of things wasn't a big deal, he would just make sure every kept back.. until one sneaky Gryffindor decided that this was some type of joy ride.

Very bad mood for the Creature Professor who recognised her.. or did he? Either this Valentine girl was the one who expressed being patient enough to wait on owning a creature or.. well, it didn't exactly matter anymore who it was. "Stay back everyone." His voice remained more firm then ever. It was obvious he was fighting to not raise his voice in order to not spook the Unicorns anymore.

Then he walked forward, not as close as Lux had been, but enough to where the Unicorn rider could only be blind to not see him. "Miss Valentine.. Unless you want to have a weekly detention until the end of the school year, you will kindly remove yourself away from the hungry and unhappy Unicorns. Now, before you seriously injure the foal." Yes, this had gotten serious now.

Waiting until she had made at least some motion of obeying, did Professor Thompson addressed everyone else. "Everyone else who wasn't here in the last few moments and doesn't want to lose points, needs to clear out as they can only handle seeing so many of us at once."

"Oh I went to London first with my mate Declan and then I went to Universal Studios. It was a lot of fun and we even took some pics!" he said scrolling through his phone showing him. "Yeah I have seen one before like in class but I never seen one out of the forest. It seems like it is uncomfortable in it's surroundings...I don't think those students should go any closer.." he said to Jun. Then he noticed Lux was there too and wondered where Bay was. Now onto him. "How was your winter break?" he asked eyeing the professor who took care of the scene.

Jun leaned in and looked at the pictures. No fair! He wanted to go there! But he was. Next summer with Connor like they had planned. Jun would sneak out of the trainee program and apparate to Connor's place. See, simple enough. Jun was of age already so no problem there. "I think it just wants to get away. And it looks hungry," Jun said, still watching the small scene near them. Shouldn't Thompson be taking care of this already? Like guiding them back to the forest?

"Mine? Busy. Had to re-audition for a trainee program I'm in. Then went to St. Mungos for a sprain ankle," And other things. But yeah. That was his break. Oh, and visited Vinnie too. Yay.

Oh my Merlin!

What was that girl DOING?! Beverly just watched in horror as the poor mare tried shaking her off. She had to squish down the urge to going up to them, pull the girl down and give her a right thump on the face. DIDN'T SHE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT UNICORNS?!?!

YES, Professor Javy! Give her detention! Or someone hex her off. Bev would do that, but professor present. She wasn't going to risk losing her precious earned house points for an idiot.

Still firmly standing where she had stopped, Beverly didn't move a muscle. The Unicorn mother might think it as them ganging up on her and her baby and that would only complicate things than they already were.

What on earth was this child thinking? Lux watched in shock as either AJ or Angel remained on the Unicorn. Thank goodness Professor Thompson was threatening detention because that would surely get the child to stop her foolish ride. Lux was a nice person, but now was not the time to be nice when a student was being silly and putting other people at risk.

Moving a little behind Professor Thompson, she smiled weakly at Laura. "Isn't this a fun adventure?" Sracasm. It had stopped being fun the moment that child had decided to ride the mommy Unicorn.
