High Street is the main street of Hogsmeade, from which you can access all its most famous shops. There's a path that leads from the winged boar flecked front gates of Hogwarts all the way up to High Street. It's probably how you got here today!
From the main street of Hogsmeade, you can ,eet up with your friends before heading over to the Three Broomsticks for a butterbeer, browse the windows of the shops as you pass by, interact with students from other houses, and just have fun on your weekend out. Enjoy!
Austin had left one of the nearby shops, ready to go back to Hogwarts. It was cold, and he wasn't sure he liked it. Many of the professors had taken a shining to the outside frost, but that didn't mean he had to. Looking up, he froze. Not because it was cold outside, but because there were magical beasts that were roaming the streets. He had never seen a unicorn before, and he thought he'd had to roam the forbidden forest if he'd want to. He saw one of the smaller ones walk towards an older girl in front of him. He didn't want to walk towards either the girl or the horse, in case it ran away, but he stood were he was, watching in wonder.
AAAH! Someone was covering her eyes! Startled, Lux gasped but then after a moment she realized that it was... "Laura!" Wow, the last time she had seen her friend was during the summer. That was a few months ago by now!
Smiling, she turned and gave her friend a hug. "How are you?" They needed to catch up and hopefully Laura wasn't sad about the Dylan thing anymore; if he was a bad boyfriend she deserved better. Bay would never kiss another girl or flirt with anyone else.
Hearing a SLAMing sound, Lux was first confused and then in awe. "Oh my god.... UNICORNS." What beautiful creatures they were. A little baby had wandered away and its mother was clearly feeling rather protective. But Lux couldn't help herself, she wanted to look at the pretty Unicorns. As long as she didn't try to touch them she would be okay, right?

Connor still hadn't seen Addi yet, but he had see the Unicorns..Merlin he didn't know they came out here. He didn't know a lot of things about this school still it seemed. But he saw the Foal approaching that younger girl.
He thought he'd read somewhere that Mares were very protective of their young and he didn't want anything to happen to the poor girl just because the foal seemed curious. He approached the girl a bit slowly, so he didn't scare either her or the creature. "Umm..you might wanna be careful, maybe not get too close. I think his mother wouldn't be too happy.." He wasn't sure, The Gryffindor didn't think that Unicorns were violent creatures but why risk the girl's safety?
Skipping ahead of her parents who were being ewwwwy with all their hand-holding and such, the almost five-year-old gazed around, trying to take in everything all at once. And more importantly, those pretty blue eyes of hers were looking for a someone. A tall, blonde someone she shared those eyes with. And it wasn't her mama, although.. mama's eyes were the same color too. But that was besides the point, cause this was all about her BROTHER.
Where was he? Where would he find them? Did he know where? Where they suppose to find him instead? The little Wallace didn't want to ask, and merely stole a glance behind her to make sure she hadn't lost her mama and papa before staring straight again. "Noooooeeeeey," Sunny called, rather loudly in fact. "Nooooeeey, where areeeee youuuu?" Pause. "Noooeeeeey, we are heeeeeereeeeee."
If he couldn't guess, of course. What were little sisters for?

Noel was late to meet his family, of course and he had a reason. It was the freakin' winter. It was just unusually cold like it had been for days now. And to make sure he was rightly bundled up - he had tried on sweaters, walked out - checked if the sweater was enough or not and walked back in to wear another sweater.
That had happened thrice. So he was cold.
But he was theree at Hogwarts. Eyes scanning the crowd until he saw blond hair like his own - only on a four year old. Smiling wide, the twelve year old ran up to her, and picked her up in his arms from behind. "Noeeey is here!" he said, smacking a rather wet kiss on his younger sisters cheek.
After like five minutes of intense hugging, Noel pulled back and settled her younger sister in his arms and looked at her properly. "WHY are you not wearing more sweaters Sunny? You will get cold!" Noel frowned. "Where are OUR loving parents?"
Despite what his young daughter thought, Bart wasn't being ewwy by holding Nevaeh's hand. It was habit to hold Nevaeh's hand and keeping her extremely close when they were anywhere magical.
"We are here." He said from behind Noel, smile on lips. "Sunny was eager to find you first," he told, reaching out to rub Sunny's head - messing up her hair.

"Nooee-" Her call left unfinished as a squeak escaped the small girl, Sunny positively beamed and gasped as she was lifted from behind by none other than her FAVORITE and well.. only, brother. How long had it been since she had gotten a NOEY hug? TOO long. Forever, really. And as for the kissy, "Ewwww!" Sunny squealed dramatically, though the all to bright smile never left her face, one hand reached up to rub her cheek as she giggled wildly.
Wasn't she too OLD for Noey kisses? Sunny was almost FIVE, after all. A big girl. She probably was. But.. she wasn't sure she was ready to be too old for Noey kisses, so.. maybe she could wait on being a big girl. Yeah, she totally could. No rush or anything.
Blue eyes looking from her big brother, to her rather thick sweater, and back again. "It's hot," Especially after all the skipping she'd been doing. "More sweaters means I'd be like a big snowman, with my arms like this-" The four-year-old demonstrated by holding her arms out at her sides, "-And it'd be hard to move!" As for their parents, Sunny jabbed a thumb to point behind them without saying a word. But they were closer than she thought, cause.. "Paaapaaa!" Her haaair. "It's my haaaair," Still, while attempting to smooth the short blonde strands, Sunny smiled.
If the hand-holding bothered Sunny, Nevaeh knew nothing of it. But as they wandered the street in search of their son, the woman was somewhat off in her own world - nothing unusual, really.
One hand held firmly in her husband's, and gaze on the small blonde a few feet ahead of them, Nevaeh smiled wide as Noel made his appearance and scooped his sister up. Such a good big brother, as always. Both of their children were just perfect, weren't they? Sending a sideways smile to Barty as they neared the pair, Nev only released his hand to get in on hugging. Which wasn't as easy as it looked, giving her son a squeeze while he squished Sunny. But they would manage. Nevaeh said nothing, though, for the moment - she was feeling too emotional with seeing her son for the first time in a couple months. If his first year had been bad, and it had, Nev wasn't sure about this school year.

When Sunny went all Eeeww, Noel just grinned and smacked more kisses on her forehead, other cheek and little pink nosy. SEE now she would know better than to resist his looovin. He had missed her. Sigh. Sometimes he wished Noel could have brought Sunny to Hogwarts instead of being allowed a pet. HE WAS NOT COMPARING SUNNY TO A PET. He JUST REALLY REALLY wished Sunny could go to Hogwarts.
Why didn't Hogwarts have a pre-school or something for kids. Sigh.
Hogwarts was just boo.
Seeing his dad, Noel grinned, saying HI and all. But then his mom was crushing Sunny between him and her. "MOTHER. I MISSED YOU TOO. But we CANNOT sacrifice Sunny for it!" He said, grinning and dramatically.
Bart was happy seeing his family reunited. He had to admit, when Noel was gone - things were quieter around the house. Not that Sunny wasn't a handful. But he knew more than Nevaeh and him, Sunny missed Noel.
It was a lovely reunion. Bart couldn't help but squeeze Nevaeh's hand because he knew how emotional she felt when it came to Noel. And how hard it still was far her to have him away from them.

Unicorn mare and foal cantered down the streets in search of the rest of the herd and warmth. The mare was sure to position herself between her child and the humans as they made their way down the street.
Despite the fear in its eyes, the foal smelled something that pulled it's attention away from its mother and began cantering away from her. Neighing loudly, the mare slammed her front hooves against the cobbled street. But the foal paid no attention. It was hungry and with things being so icy and cold where they had come from it had been hard for it to have a full stomach for so long.

This...was NOT something Beverly Wayne had expected to encountered in Hogsmeade. AT ALL. Eyes wide, lips slightly parted, she forgot about the Sugar Quill in her hands and about how cold she was. There were unicorns. A mare and a foal.
Unicorns. Right there. A few feet in front of her.
The Slytherin almost jumped in excitement, but decided against it seeing as she wasn't alone. Which incredibly sucked, because that meant she wouldn't be able to keep the unicorns. Major disappointment. Beverly's eyes weren't on the foal though, they were on the mare. A full grown unicorn. What a BEAUTY. She wanted to pet it and feed her the Sugar Quill.

Then she heard a voice she was fairly familiar she's heard before. And she was correct. It the Connor boy, the one who'd tried teaching her how to skip rocks and owned a pretend teddy bear by the name of Barry. Putting on her cool mask, she went to stand next to him.
"They're peaceful creatures and prefer the touch of a witch." It was a known fact. But then again, a mother was different when it came to protecting their young. "Hi, by the way."

Did he remember her? He should.
Connor looked over to Beverly, he remembered her from the other day down at the lake. "Oh, i mean..i didn't think about that. But she already looks uneasy." He was started to wonder where Addi was. Hmm..this was starting to seem like a very odd day, Unicorns and whatnot.
He hoped she'd be along shortly. Would this be a date? Or not? The anticipation was killing him.

Eyes widening, Lux watched as the little baby Unicorn cautiously walked towards her. This was the first time she had seen the creatures in real life, and they were so up close. It was unreal. It was also difficult to tell which was more beautiful; the mother or her baby.
As a boy cautioned her to be careful, she smiled at him and was about to tell him that it would be okay when Beverly joined in. "Hey there, Beverly." The girl got a smile as well. They had never talked much, but the older girl was rather nice. Her attention was turned back to the boy now. "Hi, I'm Lux."
Slowly she reached into her pocket and grabbed a random candy. Reaching her hand out, she offered it for the baby to take.
Whinning again eagerly as it was presented with something, the foal continued to take timid steps towards the humans.
The mare ceased her stomping and snorted before taking off at a desperate gallop towards her child and the humans. She stopped once she was between her child and the humans and her ears went down flat against her head. Standing up on her hind legs, she thrashed her front ones wildly in the air in warning.
"I know," Beverly said, watching the mother unicorn closely. Ugh. She'd give all the Galleons in her Gringotts' vault to get to ride her. Imagine that, Beverly Juniper Wayne riding a unicorn. Double ugh. The thought was so beautiful it almost hurt.
There was Lux also, and she appeared to be trying to feed the foal. "Hi--" she didn't get to finish her greeting at the mare got a little over protective of her baby.
Holy dragons. O___O
Beverly caught the way her ears folded back (as she was a proud horse owner) and new what was coming next. She took a quick step back, and in a jerk reaction, attempted to tug Connor back by his sleeve. Mummy unicorn wasn't happy. At ALL.
"Hey, it's okay girl," Beverly said, staying calm and raising her palms up in show that she wasn't a threat. This was so EXCITING, she was speaking to a UNICORN.

Hands in pocket, because no way was he keeping his hands out, Jun walked along the street. Feeling a bit back to normal, he figured he'd get out more and wander. Wandering is how jun found people to talk to, made friends, or things around the castle he hadn't really paid much attention to. Reminiscing on how he met the Head Gullible last term, a smile crept onto the boy's face as he kept walking. It was fun, in the sense that Jun kept making fun of Alec all the time and he didn't notice.
Anyway.
The frigid cold made him pull his beanie lower more and crossed his arms in front of him. Gotta keep the cold out a little more somehow. Now where was he going to go first? Or hopefully he'd bump into someone. That was better.

As Kace made his way into Hogsmeade, he noticed it was quite colder here. But he was no strange to harsh winters. He lived in Kansas, they had cold winters all the time. He was just wearing his work boots, jeans, long sleeved flannel shirt and beanie hat. He couldn't skateboard here yet since he saw some ice on the ground.
As he walked around aimlessly looking for something to do, he noticed a familiar face. He smiled and saw Jun! He waved at him and said, "Hey Jun! How have you been mate?"

SLIP!
Whoa. That was close. Did they not clean the street before the hundreds of students came to Hogsmeade? Jun had to stay safe. Y'know, not breaking or hurting anything again. Shaking himself out, the boy kept walking and decided it was safest to go to The Three Broomsticks. Maybe get something to eat and drink. Just to hold him down until dinner much later. If he decided to have dinner.
Oh? Someone was waving at him.
Readjusting his glasses, he squinted at the person and grinned. "Hey Kace. I've been alright, trying not to freeze out here too much. Enjoy your holiday?"

Adelaide silently cursed herself for taking so long. This wasn't even really a date. Connor and her were just hanging out. Besides, he'd seen her in slumpy clothes already. But she couldn't help it. It took forever for her to decide on something casual and warm.
She adjusted her hat as she rushed to Hogsmeade. She looked around for Connor. She saw him near Lux and Beverly...and a very angry looking unicorn. Her eyes went wide. Addi loved unicorns but the mother did not seem happy to see it near her baby. And there goes Connor's lion braveness, jumping in front of the girls. It was sweet, but she still thought he was being an idiot.
Addi wanted to run over but was didn't need to be putting herself in danger either. "Connor! Don't be stupid! Lux! Beverly! Get out of there!" She hoped the group heard her. She slowly inched closer, making sure not to startle the mother unicorn even more.

Connor didn't look back at Lux. He didn't wanna look away and get kicked, but he remained in front of the girls, backing up slowly. "You both need to back up..we just need to give her some room." He didn't wanna speak loudly and spook the Unicorn. She already seemed very on edge.
He heard Addi's voice, he didn't eve need to turn to know it was her. "I'm okay..we're fine.." He really hoped he remained fine, hoping the girls were backing up as well. He was still much closer the the creature than he wanted to be.

You all with the Unicorns
• HuffleStud • Knight of The Zodiac • Manly Beard-Grower • Cicatrice de Harry •
After leaving the Three Broomsticks based on the Divination Professor's vision alone, the Creatures Professor wandered out back to the streets. Supposedly they were outside and in one of the shops. But which creature could it be? He didn't know exactly, but assuming the worse his wand was drawn out.
His head checking left and right as he briskly walked forward, he couldn't see anything out of the ordinary happening through the windows of the shop. Just as he was debating on turning back to get more specifics he heard and then saw the commotion. Unicorns.. lovely.
It was one of the extremely rare moments any adult male in this profession wished to be a lady during these kinds of situations. No matter, though. Placing his wand back inside he calmly walked behind just as one of the students (GrapehGrape) was about to approach the rest. Time for damage control. "Miss Adams, Miss Wayne, Miss Carrington, Mr. Jones. You will back away from the Unicorns.. Now." His tone was calm and firm at a reasonable volume for them to all hear, yet quiet enough to not spook the already threatened Unicorns. "And do so quietly."
It wasn't like she was extremely close to the unicorns. She was a good feet away. Beverly Wayne is NOT stupid. She'd dealt enough with horses, and even though they weren't unicorns, she knew creatures had their limits when it came to protecting their young.
Connor was SUCH a Gryffindor, though. And it didn't impress her. She could hold her own ground, which was pretty stable, and she certainly didn't need protection. Addi telling them to get out of the way wasn't the best thing either, it'd startle the mare and then they'd get stomped on for sure.
But then there was Mister Javy! Professor Thompson! Beverly's eyes lit up a bit. HE'D know what to do in this situation. He would, he would! Taking a step back, slow and gingerly, she followed with more until she was at Professor Thompson's side. Her palms were still up, hopefully letting the unicorn mother know she was no harm.
Beverly, after all, wasn't interested in the foal. He was a baby. She was interested in the mare.

Lux did not need to be told twice to back away from a protective mother Unicorn. Slowly she moved away knowing that Connor was in more danger than her and Beverly. The boy was definitely brave for risking his safety to protect them, but a kick from an angry Unicorn had to hurt and there was no way that she would let that happen.
When Addi and Professor Thompson had arrived, she had no idea but she was definitely glad for their presence. Especially the Professor's since he was not only an adult, but this was his field of work. Right now she was overlooking the fact that he was a male and as such in more danger than a female Professor would be.
Connor heard the voice but said nothing, not wanting to risk spooking the unicorn anymore than it already seemed to be. He backed away slowly, he wasn't trying to be brave just doing what he thought was right the two girls were younger students, he would have done the same if they were boys. He made his way over to Addi without turning his back on the unicorn and saw the professor. He hoped he wouldn't get in trouble, he just wanted to do what was right. He looked over to Addi. Hi...this is a nice way to start things, huh?" he asked, trying to lighten the situation up.

Reason: Typos.
The mare flared her nostrils angrily as more and more humans gathered. Neighing loudly, she began to back her and her foal away until their rumps were against one of the outsides of the shops. This only caused her eyes to become more wild.
The foal, still hungry, whinnied and trembled where it stood.
The unicorn mother behaving like that sort of put Bev's nerves on edge. It was seriously NOT happy. What happened to peaceful and pure unicorns?! She wanted THOSE. Right now it seemed like this one would stomp on them at any moment.
She took another slow and careful step back until she stood behind Professor Thompson, but with enough space to still get a peek of what was going on. Why were her hands suddenly all clammy? BAH!
Wait--why were the unicorns out here? In Hogsmeade? Didn't they wander the woods and places like that? Why were those two all the way out here?
Connor didn't look back at Lux. He didn't wanna look away and get kicked, but he remained in front of the girls, backing up slowly. "You both need to back up..we just need to give her some room." He didn't wanna speak loudly and spook the Unicorn. She already seemed very on edge.
He heard Addi's voice, he didn't eve need to turn to know it was her. "I'm okay..we're fine.." He really hoped he remained fine, hoping the girls were backing up as well. He was still much closer the the creature than he wanted to be.

Adelaide rolled her eyes at Connor. There he went being the brave lion that he was. If he got himself hurt, she wasn't going to let him live this down. Then Professor Thompson came out of the Three Broomsticks and told them to back away. Well, Addi just stopped where she wasn't. She wasn't super close to begin with so that was a good thing.
She let out a breathe as the other two girls backed up. And Connor backed over to join her. Adelaide could still see what was going on around Thompson.
"Mhm. I though you and your lion bravery were going to make this day end in the hospital wing." Addi was teasing, but she still thought he was being a brave idiot, even if he was protecting the younger girls. "I wonder why they're out here..." She mused looking at the unicorns. She'd never seen one outside of her books and they were beautiful.
