Too bad Dima wasn't in their group. The boy was a fire aficionado. Well, not REALLY but he WAS really good at making fire. And fire would certainly give their diorama a little extra something.

"Yeah, a baby!" Maddison nodded seriously, a small smile playing on her lips. Playing the baby card would get sympathy for the yetis for SURE. Well played, Branxton.

"UH. Is that the stips of paper and watery mix stuff? I'm no expert but if you tell me what to do, I'll do it." Mo could count on her! Look, she was already moving towards the supplies. He was coming, right?

"Could we use cotton balls for the baby yeti?"

The Gryffindor looked over when he saw Sophie addressing someone else and-- SUPER SIMAAAN! YES! This made Zander a very happy camper. Very. He turned around and gave a huge smile to his bestest Slytherin mate ever.... And once again, he found himself surrounded by snakes. On second thought, maybe he ought to work with some Gryffindors? Considering the cup and all...? But one look at the screaming demon child Gryffindor in front of him totally changed his mind.

Why did that girl always insist on being so... Dramatic. Hmph. And she still hand't apologized for taking a huge bite out of his arm. The third year wasn't surprised to see that no one had run to the obnoxious girl's side. Who would want to work with that? Not this Gryffindor. Housemates or not, Zahra was evil. And that was that.

Now, back to his group. His delightful group of cool people, who weren't demonic and evil in any way. Well he hardly knew Sophie, but... If Grayson liked her then it had to mean that she wasn't evil or demonic, right? Right. It had to. Grayson was cool. The three of them. Good. Hopefully Zahra wasn't listening in because nope no room for a fourth member here... Ha... Ha... Ha...

Something funny? Okay, he could try! He wasn't much of comedian, but he had been laughed at a lot this term. Granted, at and not with. But still. People laughed. "Alright,-um- yeah that sounds pretty good," Hikers. That sounded like fun. "I think I vote for the skit," they did not want to have to hear this child try to sing. Or come up with lyrics. Now that, would be a terrible situation. "What do you think, Simon?"

Acting's sort of like lying. WELL. "Yeah, I guess it is. OR pretending to be someone else new character, which could end up being a right ol' loony but you could get to dress up in some fancy clothing." Uh huh. Wise words from Whitty boy. When was he going to be paid to advertise the acting role? HMMMM?

He didn't lie? Grayson was confused. If he accidentally got dirt inside the house, did he admit it to his parents or blame it on someone else? If it was the first option, the little dude had a lot to learn, man. But the little Ravenclaw was pointing at something, so, Grayson followed his gaze towards................... INTERVIEW. YES. That was MUCH better than dancing or acting, which was what Kyroh was doing. Being a Yeti. "AAAAAAAAARGH! Don't hurt me, oh scary Yeti man!" Arm flailing to match his lame O-grade acting skills.

"Believe it or not, my song writing skills are worse than my acting skills so unless you're secretly an international wrock star, maybe we can go for another option? Liiiiiike the interview. And you can be the Yeti." He had it nailed down. He just needed to look less like a puppy and more like a ferocious but completely misunderstood beast.

Bruce GROWLED BACK HIS RECOGNITION OF APPRECIATION. BRUCE LIKES SNAPS. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrr!



..... what. Zahra was pretty sure that TWO yeti...would be all that much more fun. BUT ZAHRA HAD SAID NO STUPID SLYTHERINS! Man. YETIS AND SLYTHERINS CAN'T BE FRIENDS! NOT WHEN THE CUP WAS SO CLOSE!


"BRUCE DOES NOT LIKE YOUR FACE AT ALL. BRUCE LIVES ALONE. BRUCE KNOWS KARATE AND WILL KICK YOU OFF OF ICE MOUNTAIN. BRUCE EATS THE INTESTINES OF SLYTHERINS FOR AN APPETIZER!" To punctuate Bruce's promises, BRUCE GROWLED and showed his YETI CLAWS RAAWWRR !! "GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR........YFFINDORRRRRRRRRRRRR! !!!!"

Oh, whew. Maddie was on board with the baby yeti AND with some paper mache, plus she had ideas for how to make the yeti. Basically? Baby claw was boss at being a good partner. Considering how hard it was to find someone decent to work with sometimes, that was a real relief.

"Yeah, strips of paper and paste. How about I start on that, and you make the yetis? Do you have any ideas on how to make the careless camper? Or a little careless tent, maybe?" She was crafty. Who knew?

Mo collected newspaper and tore it into long strips, which he piled on one of the desks as they worked. What could he use as a base for their mountain and cave? Was there chicken wire available? Or maybe just some cardboard he could use as a bottom layer? Mo poked through the proffered art supplies until he found some heavy cardboard to use. Perfect.

Thank goodness. Jasmine was very glad that Lux agreed to work with her. "Thanks so much, I really appreciate it", she replied. Now the big question. What were they going to do? Well it seemed like Lux had plenty of ideas. "Wellllll. I wouldn't mind dancing, but I'm not quite sure how to tell the Yeti's story through dance. Your other ideas are good ones. Do you have a preference on what we do?"

Jasmine was trying to think of wys to make Lux's suggestions come to life. "Maybe if we decide what we want to say about the Yeti, it will be easier to decide how to present it." Jasmine was really willing to do anything. "We could always do a skit with one of us as the Yeti and the other one as the uninformed person." They would have to make a decision pretty quickly so they had time to carry out their plan.

HAHA. Nice try Zahra! Ethan would have been concerned with her threats, but he was having TOO MUCH FUN with her.

“Bruce no likey? BRUCE NO LIKEY??!” Cue dramatic YETI SIGH. “Grrrrrwhooozzzaaah.” Now in reality, Ethan’s confused with how girls react to certain situations…but right now, he’s confused with Bruce not liking Zelda’s face. He guessed that the theory is true about Yetis as solitary creatures.

No wonder they're ugly.

“…I even had it curled…braided in the most complex way…even tied ribbons…HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE MY BOOOTIFUL BEARD???! Ohyes, this female Yeti's got a freaking beard. Ethan roared in his female voice, FLIPPING Zelda’s BEAUTIFUL whiskers. Girls liked flipping their hair right? Oooh! OOOH. He was forgetting something! The growl of course! “GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrr…meow.” Oh wait. Yetis don’t do that.

“Ahem…GGGGGRRRRRRRROOOOARRR! ZELDA MAD! ZELDA FURIOUS!” Ethan started stomping his feet hard on the concrete floor.

"Probably best to play to our strengths so that sounds good!" And while Maddie had LOTS of strengths, paper mache wasn't one of them. Besides, yetis were the COOLER part and Mo was sort of giving her a BIG responsibility seeing as he was quite fond of the creature. Did that mean he trusted her a whole bunch? Hm. "Maybe pipe cleaners? I could make a camper out of those." And they could use pipe cleaners and tissue paper for a tent! See? She had it under control!

After gathering what she needed, the small brunette set it down on her desk and started with the yetis. Two smaller cotton balls would do for the baby yeti and Maddie placed one on top of the other, sticking them together with the sticking charm. She hadn't used it MUCH but her brothers used it TONS at home and she'd witnessed the movement and incantation enough to make it work. She then grabbed a white pipe cleaner and wound it around the center of the creature, allowing a bit to stick out on each end to make arms.

"Psssst. Does this look like a baby yeti to you?"

Pretending sounded better than lying. It wasn't BAD then. And new clothing? Well he wouldn't mind a YETI suit! He looked over his shoulder."I guess that sounds fun as long as I don't turn as looney as Zahra."

Wait- huh- Grayson? Kyroh blinked."Was that you acting? I think you should stick to just looking cool." Grayson was GOOD at that and well....not too good at acting.

WROCK STAR!! As if automatic Kyroh stretched his legs out, wiggled his left fingers and started to rotate his right arm in front of him. AIR GUITAR SOLO FOR YETI WROCK STAR. "WAAAAAAAHhhhhhhwaaahahahh... newwwww... newnew-new-newwwwROAROAR GRRRRRRRRR waaaaaaaahhh" That's how guitars sounded like right? It did when a YETI played it. Suddenly he stopped, jumped back up straight and bowed. "Nope. Not a wrock star." Kyroh decided. "So interview it is!" The first year placed his hands on a nearby desk pulling himself ON TOP of it. TALLER THAN YOU NOW GRAYSON! "I'm basically Yeti height now!!!Now all I needed was fur. Since I ALREADY have the face down. " Kyroh squinted, bunching up his features and snarled, doing his best to show his teeth to SHOW his partner! Though at most he looked like a ferocious Chihuahua. "And you need a microphone for this interview!" Or like quick quills!

Bruce was EXASPERATED WITH THIS .... she-yeti. "BRUCE HATES IT, YOUR FACE, and your PRESENCE. GET OFF MY MOUNTAIN BEFORE I ROAST YOUR ARM AND EAT IT LIKE KEBAB!" Yeah!

Bruce then showed ZELDA a few of his KARATE MOVES. TOTALLY THREATENING.

"BRUCE DOESN'T CARE! YOU WASTE YOUR YETI TIME. PILLAGE A VILLAGE, NOT CURL YOUR BEARD! GET A HOBBY, YETI TRESPASSER!"

Bruce hiiiii-yaaaah'd and HUH'd and CHOPPED!

"Me? Give you nightmares? I might...I'll tell you scary stories.'' Mwahahaha. If he knew AJ, then scary stories wouldn't even be a problem for her.

Ahh. A makeover! Awesome! "Course you can. As long as you make me look cooler.'' Hehe. Oh this was going to be fuuun! Adi moved closer to AJ to peek into her parchment. So far he liked what he saw. At least there was no singing and dancing on his part. Yet. Somehow he knew AJ would make him do one or both of those though. Meh.

"Uhh...how about You love the cold and we think that's bold, that height of yours makes it hard for anyone to beat you in a fight, though fire can turn any situation dire.'' Not bad, Adi thought to himself. He hoped AJ and Angel would like it.

OHMYGOSH!!!!!!


These two were just brilliant and they were cracking Cassie up. She wasn't sure if this was what Nessa wanted out of the lesson, but they were entertaining. How was anyone in the class getting anything done? She couldn't take her eyes off of them.

Though she did try to see the others students. All this excitement and all the energy coming from the students was just so much for the blonde Divination professor. She was snapping for all of them.

Maddie was so self-sufficient and independent, and after Mo watched her for a few long moments, he decided that she didn't need anything from him but acclamation and praise. Later. In the meantime, he was making a paper mache mountain and cave. The cardboard made a roughed out shape, and the pasted-on paper made a textured skin over that. He made the layers thicker where the cardboard bent, and he rounded it at the bottom where their cave was located.

Not bad, really, although it would need a good deal of paint to make the mountain really pop out of the paste-and-paper structure. Mo turned the hot air charm against the wet paste as he admired Maddie's baby yeti.

"Yup. It might need little eyes if we can manage it, but it's awful cute. You've done this before, haven't you?" She was a pro.

Caleb liked yetis, actually. He totally agreed that they were misunderstood! And with the whole endless winter thing, it made total sense to learn about them right now. Way more interesting than zombies and all that.

But he had to focus now. It was time to grab a partner and get to work!

"Anyone need a partner?" he called out. Or a group? Anyone? Anyone?

Ethan got a marker, and while the parchment was still taped on his face, he drew a single arched eyebrow somewhere in the middle of the yeti’s eyes. He can’t see okay, but you get the idea. Raised brow for Bruce. The male yeti’s karate chops did not impress Zelda at all.

Zelda even placed a hand on Bruce’s face to stop him.

“GRRRR…NONONO!!! BRUCE SHOULD PILLAGE THE VILLAGE AND ZELDA TAKES CARE OF CHILDREN!!!” Ethan knew there was an ickle first year beside him, and he or she would be the perfect extra for this scene. He couldn't see because of the mask, so instead...got hold of Professor Cassie, and showed her to Bruce. Oops? Hopefully she'd play along?

Oh yes Bruce, you are a Papa. And Zelda’s your wifey. And this child is your offspring! “BAD DADA BRUCE! BAD! GRRRRRRR…” Ethan then stood in front of the person he nicked from nearby, protecting him...or her from Bruce.

Ah...Merlin forbid. He forgot about putting holes on his mask!

I love scary stories, I bet you can't scare me." If he was game or another bet, all he had to do was say the word. AJ liked that Adi was so agreeable. "You already look cool, but I will make sure that you are one wicked yeti." The lion couldn't have Adi looking a hot mess. She wouldn't stand for it.

AJ looked at Angel's song that she created. "Adi can sing that." She turned her eyes on Adi. "You'll be okay with singing that right? You can do a sad little dance too with your head hung low." Oh, and he had suggestions. "That's brilliant." They would totally use that.

"Angel, you wanna help me get Adi's yeti costume ready?" The lion scurried off to where the professor said she had crafting stuff at. A moment later she came back with her little arms loaded. Plopping everything down on the desk, she grabbed a marker. "Do you trust me?" She decided that she didn't want to make some lame mask. Rather, she wanted to draw directly on Adi's face. It would come off, so no biggie.

Having friends was weird.

Maddie didn't normally care much about what others thought about her and the work she did. She KNEW she was capable of great things and that was usually enough but for SOME strange reason, the first year wanted to impress Mo. She'd NEVER impressed her older brothers much and it felt nice to have someone around their age appreciate her for what she could do. So yeah, Mo's comment about her yeti made her smile pretty wide. She didn't bounce, though. She kept the bouncing at bay. "Thanks, Mo! I might have done a craft or two in my time." And the fact that he'd noticed was pretty cool. NOT that she was going to fangirl over it or anything. PSH. She was chill. Yeah.

"Do you paper mache a lot? You're pretty good at it. I didn't think boys crafted much."

Speaking of crafting, Maddie got started on the bigger yeti while she chatted with Mo. He'd need three big cotton balls 'cause yetis were big. He'd also need longer pipe cleaner arms. "You think you'll ever meet a yeti?" The first year was sure that if Mo did, he'd treat it with respect.

And Mo? He was right about the eyes. Surely she had googly eyes in her pile of craft stuff somewhere...

Simon smiled back in response to both Sophie and Zander's warm welcome. "Awesome," he said as he nodded. He glanced around the room to see where Mr. Grayson, lover boy, was but he had already paired up with Kyroh. Simon smirked and then turned to his fellow group.

Alright. Down to business.

"I'm not much of a singer," he said. Truth be told, he had only ever sung in the shower so he didn't know whether he was good or not. And singing could be embarrassing, he didn't want to make a fool of himself in front of everyone. Nor did he want Zander or Sophie to do the same. Anyway, back to business. "I vote skit. Hikers sound great to me. So we should work on costumes or just get down to writing the script? Or should we just improve?" he said with a decisive nod.

Sophie caught Zander looking away and followed his gaze. For a moment, she thought he was maybe wishing he'd worked with Zahra, but then he seemed kind of confused by her actions which earned him a smirk from Sophie. Sophie was so amused with this class in so many different ways. He was on board with the hiking skit, too, which was COOL.

Sophie turned toward Simon, because it seemed like the final answer relied on his vote. OHHH, COOL! He was! Sophie grinned and nodded once. "Okay then. Hiking, it is," she said. Good thing they didn't REALLY have to go hiking, because she'd never been hiking before and certainly couldn't survive a hike plus a Yeti attack. "Costumes should be easy." She picked up her book bag and slung it over her shoulder. "We have our bags for packs. Errr...I don't know what else we'd have..."

Her eyes suddenly lit up and she looked at both boys. "Let's say we're fifteen in this skit. Oh, no--SIXTEEN! We're sixteen, and...one of you is my boyfriend," she so boldly declared. That way, she'd go into this knowing somebody would defend her to the end and maybe die for her in the Yeti attack. Without even a flinch, she added, "So which one of you will it be?"

Zander was pretty relieved that Simon had joined there group. It was like a tradition now. Working with Simon. He curiously watched the boy's eyes shift around the room. Hmm what was he looking for? Anyways. Right back to the plan. So Simon didn't want to do the song either? GREAT! This meant the skit was in. As for costumes and stuff... Zander hadn't really come prepared for that bit.. Granted, there were some supplies out if they wanted to get creative like Zahra and Ethan had. HEh. He couldn't help but laugh at his friends silly antics. Not Zahra's, Ethan's. Because the latter was his friend. And not the other one.

Right. Anyways. He turned his attention back to Sophie as she began speaking again. Good. She was cool with going with the skit, too. Which was a TOTAL relief. He watched as she grabbed for her book back, and made his way to do the same. "Right, um nice thinking," he smiled and looked over to Simon to make sure he was on board and stuff. "... I think we're good with just the packs... And if we need to.. We can just pretend with the other props?" That was what this acting stuff was about anyways, right? Pretending?

The Gryffindor took a small step back as Sophie's eyes lit up like WOAH. What had happened because suddenly she was so, SO excited. Fifteen-no-sixteen? Uh okay? He didn't really look like a sixteen year old, but uh pretending? "Oh-okay, Yeah, I'll be your--" Wait.

B-B-BOYFRIEND!?! O_____O Where did that come from?! The third year suddenly stopped midsentence as he came to the realization of what he had just signed himself up for.... Boyfriend??? Uh. What. He soon found himself blushing violently too. Welp. This was certainly a step up from holding hands with a girl last lesson. Boyfriend? "Um..." Gulp. "boyfriend" The word sounded totally and utterly weird coming from his mouth. What. Next time he really needed to think things through before blindly agreeing to something... Had he processed the word before officially volunteered, this whole thing would be resolved.

Giving Jasmine a smile, Lux was happy that they were working on partners because they hadn't had a chance to work together yet.

Dance seemed to be an okay idea but not the best one. The skit idea seemed like a better one, and Lux was all for it. "Okay, but can I be the Yeti?" It would be cool to play from the perspective of a creature again since the last time she had been the dragon's tail. "Maybe we could do something like a person who tries to capture the Yeti and use its parts for potions. The Yeti can be all 'GRRRRRR you are not getting anything from me' and the Yeti gets all angry." Lux tried her best to look like a scary Yeti, but probably failed.

"Doesn't mean I can't try,'' Adi said, his game face on. Oh, AJ. You never knew if he would succeed. He grinned now. He looked cool, huh? "Well then, I'll leave that up to you.'' Adi was a bit apprehensive about Angel doing anything to do with his makeover but as long as she followed AJ's instructions, he supposed it won't be so bad.

Adi can WHAT? NOOOO! No singing! Nor dancing. That was precisely what he had been hoping to avoid when he signed up to be a yeti. But AJ had asked and though no one knew, he'd do anything for her. Shhh. That's a secret. It didn't stop him from bargaining though. "If you don't mind me embarrassing you guys with my singing, I'm game but can I skip the dance?'' Pleaseee?

Adi watched AJ head off then return with some artsy stuff. Did he trust her? As a matter of fact, he did. "Yes, I do,'' he told her. He eyed the marker. What was she going to do with that?

This would be another one of those acting classes. Lex was starting to see the trend. Going through the list she already mentally crossed off anything that simply would NOT work, dance being among those things. Of course she'd need a group or just a partner to get this all done with....that was it, wasn't it? The most important part of the planning--unless she could find a way of working on her own but that would have been more trouble than it was worth so....

"I need a people!" Lex declared, scribbling down various ideas from the board. A few of them weren't half bad and didn't require that much to make magic with them.

Now then, where were any people? Just because working along was more appealing didn't necessarily mean she WANTED to in this instant and would she need props? That would depend. Was this even a skit. She didn't know yet.

The Gryffindor began scanning the class for anyone that hadn't already been snagged. Quite a limited bunch.

Simon nodded in agreement with Sophie. "Yes, we won't need much else. It's already freezing in here so we won't have to use a charm to help change the weather," he said with a grin. That was good. He rubbed his hands together and blew on them to warm them up. Zander had a brilliant idea. Pretending with the props! "Course, that'll work." He flashed his friend a grin. Yes, brilliant idea. They could just imagine it all happening.

WAIT? Why had Sophie proclaimed that one of them HAD to be her boyfriend? Couldn't they, you know, be three platonic sixteen year olds going for a nice hike in the snowy mountains and happen upon some big, scary footprints? Yeah, that sounded good to Simon. After seeing Zander's reaction, Simon had a feeling that he'd have to step up. You owe me one Zander. Especially if Grayson murders me in my sleep tonight, thought Simon. He eyed Grayson for he didn't want Grayson to kill him for pretending to be Sophie's boyfriend but then again it was all play acting and she HAD asked one of them. So he played it out oh-so-cooly. He shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly. "I'll do it. So should we get this show on the road?" he asked, looking at his "girlfriend" and best mate.

Sophie looked back and forth between both boys. So...who was it going to be? Don't tell her they'd both wimp out on this. Just when she was about to ask a second time, Zander spoke up and took on the role. "Perfect," she said. But why such hesitation? Surely a cool and fun guy like Zander had had plenty of girlfriends. She decided not to dwell on that thought for too long, though.

...and then Simon volunteered, too, which made her extra proud of these guys. They were being such good sports! "Well, either one. You two can fight about it on the way up the mountain," she said. Then she smirked and said, "Just kidding." Well, didn't this make her sixteen-year-old pretend self feel extra special? Now she had two boys maybe willing to die for her in a Yeti attack.

"So the three of us have decided to take a hike up a really cold mountain...for whatever reason. Should we just play this as we go?" Would it be better to write a script for this, or should they just start and see where it led them?
