The Lions sit under a beautiful scarlet and gold banner representing their house. Their solid, shiny wooden table is nicely polished with all the place settings perfectly set. The food will arrive after the Headmistress' traditional feast speech. To all Gryffindors, both new and old: enjoy the feast!

SPOILER!!: Lux
Lux was so glad to hear that Bay was doing a lot better now. Snuggling into him she kissed his cheek then leaned her head against his shoulder. If Lex had a problem with it, she couldn't care less; this was the first time she got to hug or kiss him since before the book club meeting. "I'm so glad you're okay now. Will you come to my beach party?" She was planning to have a beach party and it just wouldn't be the same without him there.
Everyone knew how cute Lux was right, well sometimes she was just way to cute that was like cuteness overload. Leaning into her kiss on his cheek he let her head fall on his good shoulder. ”yeah, im glad that im better now too… took long enough” he laughed and as his movements did so his body shook and Lux received the movement as well. ”oh sorry” he chuckled as he tried to keep his body from moving. ”beach party??” he sounded excited as he thought about it.
”errrrr… I’ll have to ask my parents, im not sure if they are going to let me out of the house….” he sighed. ”like at all” he knew as soon as his parents picked him up from the train station his mother was going to be all over him, checking him out and giving him a million hugs and yeah she’d probably start to cry. Great!!! Just the thing he was waiting for not”As soon as I find out if I can come I’ll send you an owl” he leaned his head on the top of hers.
SPOILER!!: Jasmine
Jasmine was happy to see Bay looking better and able to enjoy the feast with his friends. Remembering how he had looked in the hospital wing, it was a big relief to see him well. Then he asked how she had been. Well compared to Bay, she had been great. Realizing that her friend had had a near death experience kind of put things into perspective. "I've been OK", Jasmine said, hoping that she sounded convincing. "I'm just ready to get out of this prison and start my summer." That was the honest to goodness truth.
”oh that’s great to hear!” he didn’t like to hear that his friends were sad or anything like that and Jas was always one of those happy go lucky people. ”yeah im really looking forward to going home, but I think its going to be like another prison for me” he chuckled again. ”I wonder if my parents will magically lock me in my room the whole time” he made a joke of it but he was being very honest. Picking up his goblet he drank some more juice. ”I’m going to miss all the good food though, but maybe if I play it up a bit at home maybe my mum will let me eat bad food” a smile lit up on his face as the thought went on and on..
SPOILER!!: Emmy
The girl didn't really know what to do other than apologize over and over again because she just felt so bad about it. Emmylou understood that even if she visited him while he was unconscious that Bay wouldn't even remember but lying to him and telling him that she had visited him would have torn her apart. She wasn't one to lie and she would be sure that she would never lie to her friends. "I just feel horrible." she said and shrugged. There was no way for anyone to tell her otherwise that she shouldn't apologize to him. Everyone else had visited him and she didn't. Just thinking about it was making her feel a hundred times worse.
Why Emmy WHY!!!!! She didn’t need to feel horrible, he completely understood and was totally fine with it. Getting up carefully from the bench he said “excuse me” to Lux so he wouldn’t hit her on his way out. Moving slowly to Emmy he had a smirk on his face, he hoped that Lux wouldn’t feel bad that she hadn’t gotten one of these yet but she’s had plenty and right now Emmy really seemed like she needed it.
He held open his arms and surrounded her. Looking over at Kace he winked, he knew his best mate wasn’t going to say anything, friends can hug friends right? Once she was in his full hug he told her ”theres nothing to feel horrible about… alright…” squeezing her one last time he moved away to smile at her. He then made his way back to sit beside Lux.
SPOILER!!: Simon
He shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly. "Meh, I'm alright. The Gryffindor reds are making me kind of nauseous," he said jokingly with a straight face. Seriously, what was up with all the red and gold everywhere? At least it sort of made him warm. Then he laughed and shook his head. "Nah, I'm joking. I'm good. A little disappointed that the Snakes didn't get to take home the cup but glad that the Gryffindors did. They deserve it. What are you doing over summer holidays?" Simon gave his Hufflepuff friend a happy grin and a wink. Then the boy noticed as the girl snuggled into a boy she was next to. Oh. So THIS must have been Bay. He gave the boy a friendly grin because this guy was extremely brave for going out into the forest and being attacked by those creatures. "Hi, I'm Simon. Glad to hear that you're awake and well. "
Seeing a boy talk to Lux he smiled, she was always making so many friends. And then ohhhh he was talking to him.. ”hey Simon, I’m Bay” a big smile for him too, man his face was going to start to hurt him for smiling so much, it was so nice of everyone to keep asking him how he was and he was getting to meet new people too. ”thanks dude, im happy to be getting better” seeing that he was in Slytherin he didn’t want to sound like a soar winner. ”good try this year…. For the house cup I mean. You guys worked hard as well” he lifted his goblet in honor of his new friend.
SPOILER!!: Kace
Kace smirked when he successfully scared Bay. I mean it was his plan all along. "Yeahh we have a truce. I mean we could start over and then we can try scaring each other again. Whatcha say?" he offered. "Or we can scare Lux and Emmy..." he muttered so the girls won't hear him. His reaction about Bromance made his eyebrows raise. He smiled and chuckle. "I figured I would use it to describe our friendship." he shrugged. OH? He is doing the internship too!? AWESOME! "Waitt I am doing the internship too. I did my application and I got Bostros to do my letter of recommendation." He wondered if Bay got one too. "Well I hope to come visit ya...I mean it won't be the same if I don't see you.." he said truthfully. I mean it wouldn't be the same.
Ahahahahah ”Dude!! No more scaring, my heart just cant take it” he held his hand over his heart and pretended to swoon. Ohh scare the girls now that’s something he can get on board with. ”sounds like a plan to me” he winked. ”that’s awesome, whered you come up with a word like that? I don’t think I’ve heard it before?” well living in a forest with only his parents around and his friends occasionally visiting he knew that he wouldn’t have heard this phrase before.
”oh that’s awesome, I did the internship last summer and it was so much fun the shopkeeper was totally amazing such a cool dude” he would be going to visit Kace where ever he was interning. ”as soon as I get home im going to beg the parents for all of you to come and visit” yup if Bay didn’t get to see his friends during the summer he was going to be a grumpy camper the whole time.
SPOILER!!: Zander
Zander smiled at Bay. Ah, how he missed his first mate ever. A lot. "Bay... Do you-do you think you can help me with some spells next term?" With the sixth year being gone so long DADA and transfiguration were kind of a struggle. He had a lot of catching up to do and Bay was pretty good at this magic stuff. So hopefully the boy would be willing to help the younger lion out a bit. It'd be much appreciated. "Yeah, Fuller taught us some insulation charms... But not until a few months ago so it didn't really do much," he sighed. Like why would they learn that AFTER the worst part of the storm had hit?
The Gryffindor looked up from his bag to face the older boy again, "No, no I promise it's nothing bad," he continued searching before-- AHA! Finally. The Gryffindor pulled out a small vile and held it out to his mate. "He said..." The boy furrowed his eyebrows for a minute, trying to fully remember what Culloden had told him. Hm. He was so focused on the fact that the Professor was going to steal his bed- WHICH HE NEVER DID- to fully focus on the other potions he was holding. Hm. "Oh yeah... He said it's a claming drought... He gave something to Lux too, for animals and said that the two would go good together or something?"
Hearing him as for help was just good, he had hoped no one had thought that he wasn’t good at any spells because well you know the attack but the Professors were just as unprepared as the students. ”if my parents let me come back, sure thing” he said as he was very serious. He’s been joking about this the whole night so far but deep down he really hoped that he could come back. ”Insulation charms are always a good thing to know” he said as he should have thought of that ealier to warm up…
Phew…. Nothing bad thank goodness.. still eyeballing the potion he listened to Zander.. ”Claming Drought.. really??” and the Lux thing just confused him… animals and claming drought… how would they work together, it might be so obvious that he wasn’t getting it but his brain was really tired. Reaching out he took the vial and put it in his robe pocket. ”I’ll save this for later” right now he didn’t need it but when he got either on the train or got home he would take it. ”remind me to thank Professor Culloden” he asked his little lion friend.
SPOILER!!: Tag
"Right? It always takes some time for it to come. Why do we have to wait for it? Can't it just already be here waiting for us?" Tag said agreeing. It would definitely make everyone in the Great Hall so much happier. No one would have to wait minutes on end to be fed.
The blonde had heard about Bay getting knocked out for a good chunk of the term, so, when he mentioned about him feeling better, and then the ugly part about his parents Tag saw where he was coming from. "Glad to hear you're feeling better. And, hey, if your parents don't want you back, you can always try to sneak yourself onto the train? Or fly alongside the train to Hogwarts." Tag suggested with a short laugh. Though, flying beside the train for hours wasn't safe. Not that he'd ever tried it.
"I know, I know. I'm miss worthy, you know?" He said teasingly, though. "I'm gonna miss you guys too." The blonde remembered meeting Bay at the pet adoption, before Hogwarts even started. Befriended him, shortly, during the time, while they bonded over their new pets.
Food, Tag was trying to win his heart, Yup…… ”im with you on that one. Why do we need to wait for a speech im super hungry too” Bay had the sudden idea of just banging on the plants and cups and chanting ”bring us food” over and over again but he doubted that would work out so well. Plus he didn’t want to anger the house elfs because you know they just work so hard on all the foods.
”ohhh sneaky sneaky Tag” he wiggled a finger over at him, but truth be told if his parents didn’t allow him back Bay deffantly wanted to try those things. ”dude your totally miss worthy!... and maybe if I’m allowed to have people over during the summer you can come..” ughhh ackward.. why did that feel ackward…. It was like he was asking the guy on a date.. ”you know if you would like to” BAY JUST SHUT YOUR MOUTH RIGHT NOW!!! He was just making things worse now. Rubbing his hand through his hair he laughed to shake off the ackwardness. Great way to make friends, Bay.
SPOILER!!: Nearly Headless Nick & Lex
Making his usual entry via the middle of the Gryffindor table, Sir Nicholas puffed his chest out proudly as he hovered with his feet at about eye level to all students present. It was going to be an absolutely splendid evening, he could tell.
"Well done, Gryffindors, well done!" he cheered as he made lavish gestures to the crimson and gold banners and tapestries decorating the Great Hall. "I dare say that these colours suit the Great Hall best."
Thankfully being around the ghosts here got him used to them popping up everywhere! ”Thanks Nick!” he said excitedly, and Nick totally sounded super happy. ”our colors are the best” then he had this feeling that eyes were on him…. Scanning the table he spotted Lex, she was probably starting at him yelling about the Gryffindor Win… he gave her a smile…. But she totally looked confused about something.
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
It was Adi's turn again to laugh.Really, he had never laughed this much with a friend. Okay, maybe he did with his cricket team buddies but that seemed ages ago. "So what if I secretly did just that? It took me less than a year to be just like you. I'm a fast learner, won't you say?'' And yet he couldn't take his eyes off of her. He didn't even want to blink. Why did he have to be crushing on her now?! Couldn't it have happened way back months ago? If he told AJ what he was feeling now then chances are things would go awkward again. And knowing how stubborn she was, even if she was still crushing on him, she wouldn't say anything. *sigh* The struggle was real, yo.
Adi shook his head. "I foresee the future. I'll have less time to hang out with Benny and you'll have less with Angel. Looks like we're stuck with each other.'' And saying that made him feel super happy.
"Not to me. You're a pain, AJ.'' Haha. Yeah right. Saying she was a pain was like saying he was a pain because they were almost one hundred percent like the other. "I figured that. It's hard for you not to consider me one of your best buddies because I'm that awesome.'' Adi winked. "Just leave some stuff for me. I think you're going to make your mom go bankrupt,'' he kidded.
Adi looked around as he heard his and AJ's name being yelled. Angel. He waved at her to show he heard her yelling. "Just stuff. You enjoying yourself over there?'' He grinned as he cast a glance at Benny.
.........................................
Adi vaguely wondered if Zander was going to be like this all summer long. The dude needed to cheer up. Whatever was bothering him would pass. And hopefully the fun, hyper Zander would be back next term. Hoping that would be true, Adi said, ''Advanced dark magic.'' He was kidding obviously and grinned so Zander would know that too. The Professors mixed up with that stuff? Never.
Oh look at that. Zander remembered to smile! It looked like one of those real ones Adi had seen on the boy's face what seemed to be ages ago. Ah yes. Adi recalled that Zander came from a Muggle family. "Have fun, dude. Maybe I'll see you at Diagon Alley.'' More fidgeting from the Gryffindor but Adi continued. "Cool! I've got a toad but cats aren't bad. Any particular kind you want? How about a Lion?'' Hehe.
Of course Bay was the first one she noticed. His presence around the halls and everywhere had truly been missed. So naturally his usual happy persona outshined the lions table. They were all pretty happy the house cup was theirs. All years apparently. Putting on a convincing smile for everyone. "Bay is good to see you out of the hospital wing." A real smile appeared at that. She was glad that he was getting better. She noticed Lux who was clinging to him.
But Lux let go of Bay long enough to hug her back. She really needed best friend hugs. She was still in her mood though. She glanced around before speaking to Lux. She spotted him. Now any hope of appearing to be okay was gone. Not wanting to bother him anymore she turned her attention back to the red headed Hufflepuff. "You know me. I'm always the last one to join the party." She shrugged. "Please you and Emmy are the pretty ones. I'm just me." A slight smile appeared when Lux when back to snuggling with Bay. But then the smile was gone again.
Emmy! Emmy! Emmy! No just no. She hugged one of her besties. "We made it through our first term." Emmy did. Cinna was still on the fence about it. The term still wasn't technically over yet. Her brown eyes turned to Kace. Oh she seen how it was. Now he seen her huh? She shrugged "It's highly likely that I'll see you lot over the summer." Yeah it would happen. And Zander got a nod. Not really being in a talking mood tonight. Nor was she hungry. She still hadn't touched her packing. Her brown eyes stared down at her plate for what seem like hours. She couldn't do this to many things going through her head at the moment. Well....... "I'll see you guys later." She rushed out of great hall and upstairs.

It was great seeing the place like this. And seeing Beautiful Bentley looking so proud of them. It made everything worth it. Every single last bit. Even attending Arithmancy.
Come to think of it... He hadn't really ever held up a conversation with the house ghost before. Most of the time, he tried to avoid the ghosts. One bad run in with Peeves had ruined it for them all. Except for, this one. He was nicer. "I'm uh, I'm Zander by the way... Sir... by the way sir," Sir Nicholas.
Sir Nicholas beamed down at this Gryffindor as well. As yes, what had Peeves been chanting that one day as the poltergeist had departed the Gryffindor Tower with an unsavory look on his face? The ghost could not recall at the moment, but doubted very much that the young Gryffindor wanted to hear it again.
"I know you you are, Mr. Aldair," he chuckled. "I would make for a very poor house ghost were I not to know the names of all the lions." And really, as a ghost he had all the time in the world to be observant and memorize such things. So there truly were no excuses. "Although there is a bit of a mystery I am hoping you can unravel for me. You see, I am aware that you and Mr. Hirase are on good terms. Tell me, do you know why he is currently seated up there at the staff table?"
Sir Nicholas was rather hoping it was for some honor, seeing as Gryffindor had just won the cup. But this WAS Mr. Hirase, one of Gryffindor's more spirited and rambunctious lion cubs.

"Sir Nicholas, if you don't mind," he corrected the 6th year (still with a smile, mind you). He was a friendly sort, but also rather proud of his title and was less than pleased when it was dropped so easily. "Professor Bentley looks absolutely ravishing this evening because of them. You all have made her quite proud."
And then another little Gryffindor was suddenly scurrying away. "Miss Bayless! It is considered rude to miss the Headmistress' speech!" he called after her. Come come now, little lioness.
Were any of the other lions going to go see what was the matter? Sir Nicholas would, but perhaps a ghost chasing after a student was not for the best.

Ian nodded when AJ suggested they all meet up and try to eat the sweet shop out of inventory. Sounds like a lovely plan. I like to eat and watching you try not to vomit would be entertaining. He really would like to see them both. Well, he'd like to see AJ and Adi, but maybe not together.
What was he thinking? Here were his two best friends and he wanted to separate them so he'd have AJ all to himself. It was kind of weird and he didn't feel like exploring that right now. He just wanted to enjoy the end of term feast and get a good night's sleep before they had to leave tomorrow. Maybe go toss some exploding things out of a tower window or something. It's not like he was deciding his life's future at this very moment.
He shook his head to clear it and asked, So this is how it feels when another house takes the cup? It seems very disappointing. And I suppose if there were Huffie traits included, I'd be willing to give a Valentine House a try. He grinned as he enjoyed his friends company.

Wait. What? That made no sense. Nevermind. He focused on Emmylou instead of his weird rambling thoughts. The cruse of an overactive imagination was what he had. Mhmm.. He smiled. He was gladdened to hear that she was doing well. "I'm happy to hear that you're doing well. Thanks. We were so close to tying with you guys. Next year we'll put up an even bigger fight," he half-teased. Oh yes. The Gryffindors could win this year but next year would be the year of the Snake. Or so Simon hoped. "So what are you doing over the summer?"
Then turning back to face Lux when he noticed that she was laughing at HIS joke. Was he really funny? A silly grin graced his lips. Then he raised his eyebrows curiously at her next statement. So happy that the Lions one? "Instead of your own house?" he asked, pretending to be shocked but not really minding. He nodded and listened attentively as she explained what she would be doing over the holidays. Hanging out with friends? That ought to be rather nice. And she was having a beach party that he and Zander should come to? Simon beamed at the invitation. Aw, she was sweet. He liked this particular Hufflepuff very much for her just overall welcoming-ness. "Thanks, I'd love to come. It'd be fun," he said.
Oh. His plans?
"I'm heading to back to Australia to see my family for a bit. Unfortunately, its going to be winter there thanks to the axial tilt and different hemisphere," he rambled as he moved his hands around. A bad habit of his. He frowned. The boy didn't like the cold too much. "But I should be coming back over to the UK for a bit to stay with some family friends." Spending the holidays in the warmth and sunshine was definitely what this boy was going to do.
Lux couldn't help but notice Simon acting strange around Emmy. What was going on here? Did he have a crush on her? Kace would NOT be pleased since Emmy was his girl. Amused, she chuckled to herself and wondered what Kace was like when he was angry.
Of course Simon didn't know about her feelings towards the Houses, so Lux was going to educate him. Yep. "I am a Gryffindor. An Honorary Lion. Professor Bentley accepted me as one." Professor Bentley was amazing and she was going to miss her so much. "I really hope you and Zander can come. Australia sounds like a lot of fun, though I can't imagine jumping right from one winter to another." Yuck. She was so done with winter right now.

"TAG!" he imitated him. He just had to. "Ohhhh I won't cry over you don't worry. But I think I might do some head noogies..." he smirked and gave him one. He hoped it didn't hurt. He didn't know his own strength.
"Hi Zander.." he nodded in return. AAhhhhh right the trapped situation. Some people didn't take it well. It seemed Zander didn't take it well either. I mean Kace didn't like being cooped up too. "I am hoping to go away for the summer but I highly doubt it since I signed up for an internship this summer.." he shrugged. He hoped he would get it. If he didn't get it, he wouldn't be heart broken. There is always next year.
He smiled and was glad Emmy was doing well. She didn't have her usual candy storage here so he was a little worried. "I am glad.." he smiled and kissed her in front of everyone. He even hugged her from behind and told her, "You know I am some plans for us this summer and even Lux too.." he smiled. Speaking of Cucumber where was she? Ahhhh there she was! He smiled and waved at her. "Fancy meeting you here..." he joked with her with a wink.
He also saw Simon at the table. He went over and saw he was talking with Emmy. "Heyyy mate..." he greeted him. "I hoped to run into you before summer started. I hope we can meet up in Diagon Alley one day."
SNORT.
Kace had FINALLY noticed her (took him long enough); his comment and wink sent her into a fit of giggles. "Hard to believe that I would ever sit at this table. I'm surprised to see you here as well." Winking right back at him she knew that they were both Gryffinpuffs.

Oh no. Why did this ghost have to come by during every feast? Lux knew that he was the House ghost for Gryffindor, but he freaked her out because he was dead.
Time to remember everything that Bay had Tessa had told her at the opening feast before her Second Year and not focus on the fact that he was centuries old and as dead as a door knob. "Hello, Sir," she said shakily. "I hope you are well today." Hoping that he wouldn't swoop down on her, Lux figured that this might be a good way to get over her fear.

Well...goodbyes maybe..but she'd see Donny over the summer, hopefully Lucas too and probably a lot more others. Even so there was still the TRAIN. Like THAT was where you said goodbyes, wasn't it? This..this was just for the Seventh Years to eat really amazing food for the last time in their lives.
GOSH. POOR THEM.
At least Abbi wasn't stuck in their situation, not for as long as they'd be anyways. Next term come and OH boy she'd be ready to enjoy this food all over again.
Also..she totally wasn't going to admit she was going to miss some of the seventh years like Jozsua and Elodie. COUGH COUGH.
Could you tell those meh shmeh deep feelings weren't really her vibe to express?
It was always better to shout and scream, yes. It was.
... But in case it DIDN'T work, at least she was with the Lions who could protect her. Especially Bay.
Abbi would be a help as well, she thought as she saw her friend walk over. "Hey, Abbi! A little late to the party I see." It was crazy. Lux would never be late to a feast. Granted, they always had to wait a while for the food to arrive, but still. Food was food.

Boyfriend. Boyfriend. Boyfriend.
Emmylou bounced around a little. She was just so happy to see her Hufflepuff boyfriend at the Gryffindor table. That made Kace a rebel in Emmylou's ocean blue eyes. What a weirdo she is. Emmylou kissed him back and blushed as she pulled away and then felt him give her a hug from behind. "You have plans for us? I can't wait to hear what they are." The third year beamed at him.
Emmylou looked at Luxness who seemed to pop up out of nowhere. Where had she come from? Well the Hufflpuff table but she just liked poofed here. No but really she came out of nowhere. The third year blinked when Lux heard what she had said to Bay. Emmylou frowned. "I don't feel like a good friend right now."
Poor Emmy.
Pouting, Lux moved over to give her bestie a big hug. Her friends were not allowed to be sad during the feast. Lux would not accept it. Nope. "You are a great friend. You were really worried about Bay when he was missing."
Both her and Cinna were amazing friends.

Beaming, Lux didn't care that she was being clingy right now. She wanted to hug Bay. He gave the best hugs ever. "I really hope that you can come to my party, but I'll understand if you can't." His poor parents not knowing about his condition were expected to be more protective than ever. "I'll visit you if nothing else." But then again that was a given unless of course... "They WOULD let me see you, right?" His parents were super nice to her, but still. She would not be happy if she didn't get to see Bay at all during the summer.
SPOILER!!: Cinna

A real smile appeared at that.
Cinna didn't seem as happy as she should be, and that made Lux sad. She wanted her besties to both be happy and it seemed that neither of them were. "You are so pretty, Cinna. Prettier than me for sure." Bart had to agree with that statement. Speaking of Bart... where was he? Eyes scanning across the table, she couldn't find her friend anywhere. This was weird.
...
O_O
WHERE WAS THIS GIRL GOING?!
Pouting, Lux watched as her bestie left. Nooooooo, Cinna was supposed to eat with them. Sighing, she continued to hug Bay.

SPOILER!!: The lovestruck Zander
The Gryffindor shrugged a little. Sure his parents probably did miss him, they always did. But he didn't miss them all too much. Not this year. Or at least, not his mom. And certainly not his brothers. It was weird actually. Shouldn't he have been relieved to go home? Now that it was warm though... He wouldn't mind staying at Hogwarts for longer. It was different now that things were finally thawing out. "Well.. I reckon it's different for yours. Since it was your first term 'n all.." Speaking of which, she did have a sister. But he hadn't really had the chance to talk to that girl very much. "Have you had a chance to write home?" Since the weather was thawing out finally...
Reaching towards the fork that he had set down, the Gryffindor held it between his fingers and started twirling again. This time he wouldn't drop it. He had some grace. Merlin. Anyways, back to the first year. "Yeah... This was really bad," he totally agreed on that one. Nervous-wreck and all. He definitely knew that this snow was real, real crazy bad. It had it's own category of disaster. Somehow they managed to get rid of it before the feast. It was a miracle. It was magic. It was Hogwarts.
… The best ever? The Gryffindor raised an eyebrow, but strangely this news actually helped him relax a bit. Really he was? He couldn’t help but straighten up his posture. Was that sparkle in his eye noticeable? Because it was definitely there. ”Wow… I uh… Yeah, sure!” Exactly what she wanted him to teach her, he had no clue. But he could do it. He could try. He was going to be a big old fourth year ’n all. So that meant he could be a teacher. Totally Professor material he was. Maybe. But made him something? Was it that special? He winced a little at the pat, but tried to hide the awkwardness with a small, small grin. See he could do this. ”Thanks, anything to help Gryffindor,” Come to think of it, the reason why he worked so hard in the end was all for Beautiful Bentley. He had to make her proud. That was the ultimate goal. Ahem. Anyways.
The Gryffindor eyed her pinky and raised his own to hers. This was the one thing he was pro at. Pinky promises. ”Pinky promise,” he agreed. No chunks. At least, not yet. Maybe when he was actually standing in front of the staff table. But not now. Not here at least.
AJ nodded, ”Yeah, it’s probably really weird for my parents since it is only us 3 girls, and we all left them at the same time. If she was in their shoes, she wasn’t sure if she would be sad. She would miss her kids of course, but AJ would totally take advantage and party it up. It wasn’t like they would never see each other again. Her mum was probably having the hardest time coping, but not her dad, He traveled all the time for work, so it wasn’t that much of a difference to him. Her eyes widened. ”I knew I was forgetting something.” They were probably worried sick especially if they caught wind of the snow that tried to bury them alive. ”I’m sure Angel or Abby wrote them though.” They usually picked up the ball when she dropped it. She nodded about the whole thing. That was REALLY bad, but they were here alive and stuff so no use stressing over it.
And there he went twirling his silverware again, but wait!!! Was something changing inside of him? He seemed perkier. See how good she was at cheering people up? ”Cool. We’ll figure it out next term. There was no sense in doing it tonight. There was no way that AJ would be able to fully focus when food was sure to appear at any moment. ”That’s the spirit. We gotta keep the cup with us.Now that the lions had it, she never wanted to see another house get their grubby paws on it.
Good, they were all squared away now. Zander had accepted her pinky promise, and there was no coming back from that. ”I bet you’ll feel loads better once you’ve eaten something anyways. Maybe. He still seemed a little on edge to her.
SPOILER!!: Angel
Angel looked at Benny and smiled. "I'm enjoying this weather as well now, though I was wondering if the snow didn't stop how we would get to the Hogwarts Express, I thought it would be funny if we skied there." Angel giggled.
Angel smiled. "That sounds cool." Angel really hoped he had a great time hanging out. "I have no idea what we are doing to be honest, though I might see if we can hang out, like invite you and Adi over, I'm so going to try and get Adi and AJ to admit their love for each other."
Angel looked around the room and saw Nearly Headless Nick. "Hey Sir Nick, we did it." Angel beamed. "We won the house cup." Angel had been to the trophy room and saw that Hufflepuff had won it for ages so it was about time someone else had a chance of winning and it was Gryffindor's turn, she was liking the decorations of the great hall.
"Hey AJ!! Adi!!" Angel suddenly realised her sister was blabbing on about something with Adi. "What you both talking about?" Angel didn't know why but the look her sister was giving Adi, she had a feeling it was about her and Benny.
It was then that her attention turned to her sister who was calling not only her name, but Adi's as well. Without hesitation the truth fell out of her lap. "We were just talking about how you and Benjamin would make a good couple." Whoops. She had just told Adi that they should maybe lay off of them for awhile, and here she was stirring it all up again. It was the truth though.
"Care to come down here and join us?" Maybe they could start taking a bets. She needed something to support her sweet addition. Okay, okay. She was done... for now.
SPOILER!!: Aditya
You enjoying yourself over there?'' He grinned as he cast a glance at Benny
There weren't any if's about it, but AJ decided not to mention that part. "That's because you have the best teacher ever," she said as she pointed to herself. "I'd say that I taught you pretty well." So, he was welcome. Why was he looking at her like she was a piece of chocolate cake? "Do I have something on my face or something?" Seriously, don't let me walk around looking crazy, Adi. The first year still wasn't thinking too much into why he never broke eye contact. She just figured that there was something wrong with her, and he was going to make a joke out of it eventually.
"Oh yeah?" She reached up and put the back of her hand on his forehead like she was checking for a temperature. "I think you've been listening to the divination professor too much." But, she wasn't complaining if that was in her future. "Good thing we get along so well."
"Am not, am not." She elbowed him in the side. AJ sighed. "Awesome people attract other awesome people." So it was only a matter of time before they became besties. AJ put her palms up. "Alright, alright... I will." Her mum didn't have to worry about going bankrupt. "Good thing my dad makes enough money."
SPOILER!!: Cutie Ian
Yay. Ian was on board which meant that she would be able to see two of her closest friends over the summer. She laughed at the thought of her throwing up. "That'll never happen. I bet you would throw up before me." They could have a bet and see who ended up coming out on top. AJ would win that one hands down.
Hmmm... "I wouldn't know how that feels because I've only even been a winner," she said with a huge grin. She was joking around with him, but the words were true. "You wouldn't regret being a member of the Valentine house."

SPOILER!!: Lotus!
Actually, she had come straight to this table. The Hufflepuff one certainly didn't need her, and we all know she wouldn't willingly go to Ravenclaw, sorry Vesper but no. Not tonight. It's not like this was actually THE END, there weren't goodbyes to be said. Also, she was planning on staying, she was never one to move from one table to the other, it was rather annoying. Supposedly. At his words, her smile grew bigger and she looked away after that awfully-placed wink, almost as if she was considering her words...
...then looked back, her cheeks slightly pink, "No, it's okay." Better than okay. It just wasn't the place.
Oh? That's not an answer she expected, a simply 'YES!' would've sufficed. But, "That's good news!" she didn't ask where, though, he'd tell her eventually. And then after California she'd know a bit more about her own plans. "Yes! Exactly!" she sounded incredibly relieved, and LOL soaking up the sun, "I think my skin needs to get used to the sun first, though." After alllll these months in PRISON.
No throwing into water without a warning, at least, considerate boyfriend.
No? She said no to answering the infamous joke? How dare she. It was okay though. It wasn't as if she would stop hearing it. The joke would live on until the end of time. That's just how it worked. "Next time then. And it'll be set up properly." He said, giving her a wink. Properly, as in, she'll get to say the answer. Mhm.
"Exactly. I'm just glad I finally figured it all out." Imagine if he were still going back and forth on what he wanted to do or if he wanted to go straight into work rather than continue with education. He'd be stressed between all his thoughts. "Its in London, both of the colleges, actually. I'm not sure I could stray far from England. Or Ireland." But Ireland didn't contain any of Tag's friends, so he never bothered looking at schools there. Though his words, there could be some exceptions to it. "It should be used to the sun. Considering you spend a lot of time with it." Wink. Kidding. He knew she meant the literal sun.
SPOILER!!: Kace!
"Aahh I am not one to show emotion.." he shrugged and joked a little bit. But as he was giving him a noogie, he chuckled and then he heard Tag explaining about his hair. "I mean you got a point there dude.." he said even checking his own hair. What was Tag pulling like a Nigel? He remembered that prefect being obsessed about his hair. "Mate you got any plans for the summer?"
"It's not bad to show emotions, yeah? I'm just more ready to leave Hogwarts than I am sad to not be here anymore. It may be different for you when its your final year." True. It seemed like Tag's class was entirely ready to be heading out. The snow melting away was beginning to brighten their spirits on being gone soon. "Hair, its important. Very." He said seriously. But not too seriously, if that made any sense. Summer plans! "Yes! Actually I'm going to Greece and Italy for a couple of weeks. Most excited to vist Venice." He said happily, a smile plastered on his face.
SPOILER!!: Bay!
"I have no idea. Probably just to torture us." Tag said with a short laugh. Probably, yeah. Hogwarts could be a torture sometimes. Especially with having to deal with all those new incoming Professors and having to deal with the constant danger.
"That's probably the only time I've been called sneaky." He added. Always been a goody two shoes, so Bay's finger wiggle and calling him sneaky got a laugh out of the blonde. "Of course yeah. Never bad hanging out with friends. I'll see if I can make some time to hang out with you, like you said, if you're allowed that is." He said with a nod. Errr. Ok. Was Bay all right? Tag shook his head at whatever Bay was doing. Had he seen something strange going on at the staff table. "Just send me an owl sometime when you've figured out if you're allowed to have people over." Parents were usually always ok with that.

It wasn't long at all until Schuyler was pulled from her quiet attempt to commit this moment to memory. And happily so. Tag was always such an upbeat sort of guy, from what she'd always seen of him. And today was no different. It was a nice characteristic, she thought.
"Hey yourself!" she smiled. "I'm always excited for summer. Especially when I know I'll be in sunny places." Sunny and warm and summery. This was nice small talk. "You?"

Probably thinking about how much more epic her life would be once she was away from the castle.
One more year before she could think like that. Some people had all the luck and others had very little. The graduating class housed 80% of her friends. Lex was still lucky for Lottie and Aidan reasons but not having the rest of them...was that even possible?
There was another voice that had brought Schuyler back to Gryffindor table. And that was the voice of her very own prefect. She smiled at the other girl. Lex had always been friendly and welcoming to her (not JUST because it was expected of prefects, she believed) since the start of her schooling here at Hogwarts. Since her first feast. And now look: it was already her last.
Big plunge? Her smile twitched into more of a grin. "Okay, that sounds like I'm getting married."
But no. Nooo marriage. Yet.
She nodded thoughtfully. "You know, I am. I feel like a lot of the time, people are either dying to leave or wishing they weren't just yet," she commented. "But I think I feel like I'm in a good place. I'm ready to leave, but I'll miss it very much."
And that was an honest answer.
She nudged her lightly. "Won't be long until you're in the same boat." As in leaving Hogwarts, of course.

Taking a HUGE breathe, the Gryffindor just nodded to answer Simon's question. Gulp. "I... I want to give her something," not a huge deal. Just flowers that would profess his utmost desire and innermost feelings for her. Nothing too dramatic. Just that normal stuff. "But... But what if I freeze up there?" Last time he had gone to give the woman something, he practically held her hug for an ETERNITY and then some.
But the worst part was when he RAN OUT on her because he didn't know what else to do. He was a fool. A fool who didn't know how to handle the ups and downs of love. Simon what does he dooooooooo? Help.
Zander was sweating a storm. Well not actually a storm but he was clearly nervous. Simon bit his lip, wondering what he could say at the precise moment. He eyed the table and picked up the nearest goblet and casting augmenti into the goblet. "Here. Drink." Zander needed to relax and not continue sweating. Whatever he was worried about wasn't good news to Simon.
So it was about BENTLEY. Give her something? Like what? wondered the boy. Before he could pose that question, Zander was asking what happened if he froze up there. "You're not going to freeze up there. You'll be fine, mate. Just take lots of deep breaths. Here if you want, we can practice." Practice made perfect after all, eh? Simon struggled finding the next words. "I'll be her and you be you." Simple enough, right?
And now for his previous question. "Give her something? Like what?"

If she didn't throw anything at his head in class. "Thanks. It was a tough fight but congrats. Next year will be a tougher fight," he added with a grin at his new friend.
So Lux was an honourary Gryffindor? Intriguing. Simon had never heard of one of those before. He simply raised a right eyebrow before grinning at the girl. "That's kind of her. Bentley's really nice," he said. She had always been so kind and he too would miss her- even if he didn't really know her too well. She was just so kind and lovely and nice. He could see why Zander had feelings for her. Oh right, beach party! Simon smiled again. He really hoped that he could make the party. "I'll try within all my power to get there. Where do you live?" he asked curiously. Then scratching his head awkwardly (another bad tick), he nodded. "Yeah. I'll be living in an eternal winter while all you guys get to enjoy the warmth."

Not fun.
Nod. Bentley WAS really nice. "I don't want her to leave." Sniffle. It would have been worse if Professor Flamsteed left because he was her favourite professor, but Bentley was not too far behind him on the list and she was her Honorary Head of House! That counted for a lot.
"I hope you can come. I live in London, but I might have my party at my sister's beach house in Florida. She doesn't like Bay, so I don't know if I want to do that." Eyeroll. Willa could be so ridiculous. Of course Bay might not be able to come, but Lux really hoped he could. "Awww, I can mail you some sunshine if it gets too cold." Now that would be pretty awesome.
The third year watched Romanos with a single brow raised. Was she… Reading at the dinner table? See. That is highly suspicious behavior. Didn’t anyone else realize how suspicious that was?! She was probably doing more research on how to fix the dramatic change in weather. How her plan had FAILED. Didn’t she know that she was under watch now? That people were going to be careful about her now that they knew. Or didn’t know. Actually talking to this older girl, kinda confused him. So was she not suspicious or was she?
Weird.
Anyways. Back to business. Not at the table? And she was SURE? Absolutely and positively sure? He leaned in towards her just a bit and looked her in the eyes, ”You really think they’re all… safe?” Because she was old. So she had to be right. See Simon was trying to convince him that it wasn’t Romanos all this time, but how would Simon know? He was just as clueless as Zander. But old people, they knew what they were talking about. It was a fact. So she was absolutely sure that it was Romanos?
Interesting.
She did know a lot about the chorts. A bit TOO much if you asked this Gryffindor. Though he nodded his head, he still gave her a skeptical look. ”So do you think she was trying to protect us then?” Because she had to be doing something with the chort knowledge right? Could Lotus explain that?
Reading was not suspicious behavior if one considered who was sitting near her, really. And while Lottie adored Botros and Airey, the same couldn't be said about the rest. So, she understood why she was reading. Not suspicious at all.
It wasn't Romanos, Zander!
The sixth year could tell he was still having doubts about this, it was fine, she would too. She could be quite stubborn sometimes. But at his question, she turned her face to the table and scanned it, thoroughly, she supposed she wouldn't trust the Arithmancy one, but that's because she didn't know the woman. Lottie wasn't one for Arithmancy, see. THEN... she realized something. Something she'd discussed with Lex a while ago. "Romanos definitely didn't do it. I think they're all safe, but are you actually seeing the table, Zander? Like actually seeing it?" Wasn't he missing something? Or rather... someone. "Sometimes the clues are in what's missing, not what's clearly noticeable." She smiled at him, her eyes went back to the table, "If I were you, I'd be wondering why the Groundskeeper isn't there." No?
See? Doubts. "Yes, I'm certainly positive she was trying to protect us." And protect Airey Flamsteed, too, who knows? "As a Defense Professor she has to be knowledgeable in what we're going to defend ourselves from, that doesn't mean she brought this upon us." It was just an awful coincidence.

Okay, fair enough. Next time. There will be a next time for sure. He didn't use this joke enough, you know? And for that she was grateful, overusing a joke could be just as bad as telling a REAL bad joke, and there were plenty of those. She still liked them, don't tell anyone."Deal." That out of place wink made her blush, though. He needed to stop with those. ASAP.
And so was she! Glad that he finally figured it all out, that is. Her smile widened, "I am too," for him, you know? It was great knowing what you wanted, in general. Then he mentioned London, yes, he'd mentioned that before, but when he spoke of England and Ireland her mind wondered for a moment if he was saying this because of California. That smile faltered slightly. The Hogwartian merely nodded. Now, the sun, that bit actually got a laugh out of her and immediately shook her head after that other wink. "One would think that, right? But you never get used to it." She winked back, and even blew a kiss at him.
Could they get to the speech part yet? Because she was getting hungry.

Lex had helped her out a lot this year, and she was going to make sure that her final year was one for the books.
"I'm ready to go home and soak in the sun for about a month, but I am diggin Hogwarts, and can't wait to come back." She did wanna see her family and friends, but Hogwarts was so cool. "It's not cold like this every year, right?" Because she would go crazy. "I managed to ride a unicorn and jump in the lake before we got locked in, so it wasn't so bad." Next year though she wanted to explore more. "Thanks." What a cool prefect the lions had.
The look in her eyes was all the confirmation Lex needed that she'd gotten Aubrey under her services for next year but you know...her confirmation was good too. "That's the idea. Not sure what I'll do just yet but I've got the whole summer to really think about it." Not that she'd waste away her summer on Hogwarts matters but a few thoughts here and there wouldn't hurt anyone. "Whatever it is, you're right about it being epic." Lex did nothing but that. Had to be epic or it wasn't her style.
Lex supposed she could understand the idea behind being eager to come back, afterall her first year left her dying for September, but that was totally because of the man eating plant. That term had been amazing, and quite the adventure at that. "Nah, not usually unless something goes wrong like that term with the Dementors. Usually we have normal weather and something a bit more dangerous than snow." Snow which totally put her off winters officially might we add. Good thing she'd be of age by the time the next one rolled around, heating charms would be in order.
SPOILER!!: Lottie ^^

If so, then this couldn't be a better goodbye.
Wait, what? "The day after we get here?" Seriously? Quite frankly, this didn't surprise Lottie, she was the one who actually looked forward to certain classes, not Lex. Astronomy, mostly. And you can add Ancient Runes as well because of Botros. She would've looked forward to History of Magic if the man from last term had stayed. "I look forward to my birthday and spring." She missed the latter this time around.
Even next year she'd probably be looking forward to Hogsmeade weekends and the winter holidays, and then summer. Plus, Astronomy lessons.
BEAMING! "I cannot wait!" It was a good thing they were doing this trip first.
That was the difference between the two right there, wasn't it? Lottie wouldn't have minded the green this time around and even Cassia would have been grateful for it but, "Couldn't stand Kinsley if this place was green. Not at all. His head would grow bigger than the badge already inflated it." Odessa would be tolerable mostly because she'd grown so accustomed to ignoring him but how did one ignore the obnoxious Theodore Kinsley? It didn't seem possible.
Lex gave a nod, confirming Lottie's question. "Yup. After the feast there isn't much of the castle to see that I never saw last term and all the same people--'cept the firsties and they usually don't impress me so...." If she was being honest, this way of thinking was relatively new and came with the restlessness to be out of the castle and away from here. After years and years of watching others leave, her own patience on the matter had run thin. "I look forward to my birthday too, but mostly because it's the day we go home." Tomorrow to be exact. AHEM. "But at some point in the term I'm glad I stay...only during the most epic events though." Like that meeting with Mr. Vinteren in his office. Did Lottie remember that? Good times
Of course her best friend was as pumped for the summer as she was because of the best plans in the world. Common knowledge. Mutual feeling too.
"Gonna be nice seeing the sun again. Reckon we've all got some vitamin D problem now." January was ages ago, this wasn't healthy. "Sand, sun, drinks and not a textbook or annoying schoolmate in sight." She could see it now and it and started wishing the train would come tonight.

Sir Nicholas ventured a mischievous glance towards the Slytherin table. "I have not. But it would be a right pity if I did not get a good gloat in before the term's end. He is probably busy keeping Peeves in check I suspect...or at least offering that as an excuse for his absence."
The ghost's gaze looked downward briefly before yet another beaming smile appeared on his face. "I see you have decided to wear your badge again About time, if I dare say."
"Well I don't know..." The faintest traces of a mischievous smile spreading across her lips. "Might be worth seeing it in another colour if I can go out my Seventh Year with a BANG." Something with a little flare. Trophies were nice and all--shiny too--but she couldn't help but think she might want something more when it got to very end. Final night in Hogwarts? It'd have to be an event.
She laughed at his assumptions of the Slytherin ghost. "When you do run into him, be sure to roar a little louder for me too, 'kay?" Nothing like a sullen Slytherin ghost to make the victory that much sweeter. Winning was amazing, and for once, she didn't have to say 'we're winners on the inside' because the frickin' trophy was there for BACK UP!
His smile was matched with a grin at the mention of her badge. "I have! Can't leave the lions to run themselves, not when I do a much better job of it." Or, you know, something like that.
SPOILER!!: Zander

Left him to rot in the dungeons? At that Zander opened his eyes wide in HORROR! Sure the kid could be rough around the edges, but somehow the two had a sort of unspoken friendship. Ever since that day down in the dungeons when they learned a little bit too much about each other. Or was it that time in the dorms, while fighting off peeves? Either way, they were friends somehow. And he would honor that. Even if the guy was trying to blackmail him into pulling the prank of the century. ”Listen, Lex… I know- I know he comes off rude… But-but he means well, I promise. He’s just… Just doesn’t know how to show it,” The lion had to have some good in him. Zander was sure. Even if Kevin couldn’t see it himself. There was something more than just sassy retorts and evil stares. He had helped the third year at his most vulnerable. He was a good friend.
But then. Then, he was confused. What did she mean by he could stop— Uh oh. Following the girl’s finger over towards the staff table, the boy stopped midthought in shock. SHOCK. O____O Kevin? The Gryffindor wasn’t sure whether to be relieved or even MORE worried. On one hand, the close supervision from the Headmistress meant that Zander wouldn’t have to go through with the Slytherin bomb!prank… But it also meant that Kevin was in big trouble. Which meant a lot of things.
He also noticed that Kevin was staring right at them. Trying to make eye contact with the younger Gryffindor, the boy sent him a look of utter confusion…. So now that the weather was all nice and peachy again, could the owls make some local deliveries? Because Zander needed to know things. But right, back to Lex. Elixir for Euphori-huh? ….. No thank you. Slowly scooting the chair a little further away from this prefect thank you very much. Faking the absolute widest smile he could muster, ”No need, see I’m already feeling better, see?” Not really.
Lex had only just stopped scrutinizing the young lion when he tried convincing her of Kevin's good merits? Was that what he was trying to do...? Because it wasn't working and if it weren't for the fact Gryffindor had won, her birthday was tomorrow and she was the bloody HAPPIEST person in the room, she might have scowled at Zander but she didn't. "You can think whatever you want. Doesn't matter to me what he's like when I'm not around because that doesn't benefit or affect me in any way. It's what he's like when he's around me and what he is I can't say because you're too young and shouldn't be exposed to such vocabulary." Hopefully that had painted a vivid enough picture. Lex had words about that boy, and none of them were good.
Ah but Zander finally saw what she was on about. Lex twisted to have another look for herself. It really was good having him up there. Maybe they could keep him there next year too so he doesn't make a mess of her last year and last night at Hogwarts.
Lex nearly cracked up at the forced smile. Haha, it wasn't that bad Zander, you wouldn't even know you were under the potion. Still, the effort was there and that was the ticket to eventually feeling better rather than pretend. "There you go! Pretty soon you might actually start to mean it." Then maybe he wouldn't look like someone had placed the entire world on his small shoulders.

Marriage, yikes. Just the word might have had the Gryffindor wrinkling her nose. Marriage, commitment, relationships; all 'no's for her and nothing at all like what the big bad world outside Hogwarts should be. That was the time for freedom and discovery, not getting tied down. "Pfft, reckon I'd have used a more solemn, grim tone with that reference." Then again, who wouldn't?--Except for those reeeeeeeeaaally weird people that often had Lex staring at a loss of words, nice words.
"It does sound like a good place though and I can definitely say you're in a better position than the majority of us that know we'll be back here next year." graduates had all the luck, this was an established rule of sorts and an obvious one at that. "Have you already thought of what you'll do?"
Couldn't they take her with them?
Lex's smile stretched into a grin at Schuyler's reminder. "Yup! Just one more year to suffer through then it's the big leagues. Can't wait, lots to plan with Lottie. Freedom calling and all that." Especially after the talk with Dora. The Ravenclaw was right, everything was better outside the castle; adventures, opportunities and guys. Not this palace stuff.
Oh! Speech!!! Not as long as speeches typically went and thank Merlin for that! She didn't think she'd have the patience to sit through it all and before she knew it, it was over! FOOOOD.

SPOILER!!: Fellow Crup Walker!
"You?"
Good. Tag had Schuyler talking. Excellent. Spending your last night and feast at Hogwarts, quiet, was no way to celebrate it. Though, Gryffindors seemed chatty, one way or another. "Yes! I'll enjoy the sun. After being trapped in tis snowy prison..." Seriously though, no way to spend your last year at Hogwarts, being locked in, "...I'm more than ready to get a possible sunburn. Hoping for one too." Considering where Tag would be going over the summer, he'd probably be incredibly red.
"Are ya doing anything special? Going back home? As in... and if I'm wrong, I'm so sorry..." It had been quite some time since this conversation had happened, "New York, was it?"
SPOILER!!: Sorry, Lotus! No more!
Okay, fair enough. Next time. There will be a next time for sure. He didn't use this joke enough, you know? Could they get to the speech part yet? Because she was getting hungry.
This joke was saved for rare moments. It was the type of thing that, the less you mentioned it the more meaning it held. As opposed to saying it all the time, the magic to it would slowly decrease. And, Tag simply knew Lottie loved that joke. No matter how lame it was. Clearly, she didn't see it lame. "I'm glad I was able to have a fortunate and smooth business about my jokes, Miss Wisteria. Excellent to work with you." He said, jokingly, almost sounding like he'd been in a meeting, as he outstretched his hand towards her.
"Yes, one would tink that." He said, eyeing his girlfriend. Ahem, what was the laugh all about? The boy was being honest and serious here, thank you very much! But, whatever, it made him smile nonetheless. "Of course. It's quite unpredictable. Like, it'll explode in five billion years or something." He said with a shrug. It was probably incorrect, his 'fact'. There was that kiss. Tag never knew what to do with it whenever she did that. So, he caught it, a confused expression on his face, and threw it back to her. Yes, that happened.
Speech was done. Good. Finally. Now Tag wasn't so hungry. He immediately began piling his plate with food. "Eat." He told his girlfriend. Not that she needed to be reminded or something.

It was Adi's turn again to laugh.Really, he had never laughed this much with a friend. Okay, maybe he did with his cricket team buddies but that seemed ages ago. "So what if I secretly did just that? It took me less than a year to be just like you. I'm a fast learner, won't you say?'' And yet he couldn't take his eyes off of her. He didn't even want to blink. Adi looked around as he heard his and AJ's name being yelled. Angel. He waved at her to show he heard her yelling. "Just stuff.
That had been a concern of everyone, Benny supposed, just how would they get home when they finally were allowed to at the end of term. Probably a reason why he hadn't been thinking so strongly on it. "Wouldn't skiing still be hard given the previous weather conditions...you know...with super freezing temperatures, winds and such?" They hadn't even been able to walk outside much less ski.
He raised an eyebrow at the comment about his plans for the summer being cool. If she said so. They would just have to wait to see if either of their plans ultimately turned into something cool...or fun. Either way it was going to be outside of school grounds and hopefully with normal summer weather conditions. That was good enough for the elder lion.
Benjamin had been trying to ignore the other two friends at the table, at least at first but his companion called out to them once more, drawing his attention back. Adi answered neutrally but the glance meant something more. And at AJ's answer to Angel's question on their topic of discussion, he could feel color raise at the tips of his ears. Certainly there could be other topics that might interest the two friends instead of him and Angel.
He didn't catch the invitation to join them because thankfully the headmistress stood up to give her speech. Benny clapped at the mention of Gryffindor's win, but the end of her words had enticed more happiness from the table. Foooood.
Super Slytherin Buddy - ⅓ She-Snake Trio || EVIL Healer
Okay, Healer Tllstorm had endured all that ridiculousness at the staff table and given her speech to her snakes, now it was time to check on someone. Someone who just happened to be a lion. Of all houses, he had to be in this one didn't he.
As she approached the table she quickly scanned it hoping to spot the one she wanted to talk to. She really didn't have any intentions of sticking around for very long. She really was done with this feast and just wanted to get back to her office to make sure all her things were packed so she could head home.
But first. "Has anyone seen Victor Bay?" Someone please point him out to her so she could get this over with and get out of there.

Adi snorted. "Yeah right. I'd say I would be the better teacher of the two of us.'' He was the one who helped her get the spells right in classes. Not that he would tell her that. Nor that he used her love for competition to make her master the new spells, even going as far as faking that he hadn't gotten the hang of one in DADA. He wondered what she would think of him if she ever figured it out. Meh. He would worry about that later. Eh? Something on her face? Uhhh. "No, you don't.'' Adi looked away. Too much staring, buddy.
"I might have,'' Adi said, laughing. "Her subject's rubbish but I think she's cool. Especially when she gave us cookies and hot chocolate.'' Who would have thought oe of his favourite Professors would be the Divination one?
Adi grabbed AJ's elbow after she poked it in his ribs. "See? You are.'' But he was laughing. He squeezed her elbow before releasing it. He turned back to Ian. "So Ian. You a member of Valentine House?'' And did his Puffer buddy look distracted? "What are you thinking?''
The third year watched Benny's ears go red. The Poor Dragon. Would he never get used to all this teasing? Ohhh! Finally, the Head was making her speech! That meant...it was food time!

Ian looked at Adi. As long as my two best friends are in, I'm in. Of course, we might want to consider a name change. I'm not sure Valentine is the image we want to present. He smiled as he said it and cast a sideways glance at AJ to gauge her response.
He shrugged and told Adi. Nothing much. Just thinking about missed opportunities this year. It seems I was trying all year to catch up and I didn't really get the chance to spend with you guys I had hoped to.

SPOILER!!: Lex
Oh yeah, oh yeah... next term was going to be epic. "I'll think of some really cool stuff too." She did have all summer to come up with something that would blow everyone's minds. "Maybe take a stroll through the joke shop." That place was downright inspirational. Could something that the lions be anything other than epic? AJ seriously doubted that. "Have no fear Lex, you are going out in style."
A dementor? "What's a dem.." What did she call it again? More dangerous than snow? Well, snow wasn't that dangerous, but AJ was getting the vibe that things always went bump in the night at Hogwarts. "I hope next years event is even cooler." Maybe she could go on a real live adventurous hunt next year. Something that would be more eventful than hunting down a bloody blanket. Oh look, the food was here, and AJ's concentration went out the window.
SPOILER!!: Benny, Adi & Ian

He did have a point there. ”Maybe with magical things, but in life, I win.” Because apparently everything was a completion with her. If it wasn’t for Adi, she was sure that she would have been struggling with all of her lessons. AJ would give him that. When it came to their awesome personalities, well that was all AJ. ”You’re going to still help me out next year, right? She assumed that she would a bit better having already had a year under her wing, but magic was legit hard. Oh good, she didn’t have anything on her face. She was beginning to wonder. ”I hope you’d tell me if I ever did.” AJ said as she tried to make light of the situation. She wasn’t sure what, if anything, was going on, but she was sure that she didn’t want anything getting weird.
”Oh yeah, she is totally cool. I like her a lot too.” AJ wasn’t sure if she believe it what she taught, but her lessons were easy and fun, and that was all that really mattered to her in the long run. It was nice to have one class that you didn’t struggle in.
Maybe AJ literally was a pain, she was forever jabbing at him. She laughed with him, and flashed him a smile when he squeezed her elbow. Then AJ turned to see how Ian answered Adi’s question. Her hufflepuff friend was a bit quieter than AJ and Adi, but she was getting vibes that something was a bit off with him too. He got a big grin when he said he was in. ”What’s wrong with Valentine?” AJ was completely oblivious to why that might be a problem. Her last name was Valentine, and it wasn’t something she could help or change. ”What would you wanna call it then?”
Oh no, was it her fault that Benny’s ears were turning red again. He was not her target. AJ was just trying to get back at Angel, but Benny was getting the short end of the stick on that deal. She was just about to say that she was kidding, or that she was sorry when the food arrived. Thank goodness. AJ dug in, all thoughts of apologies were out the window. ”What are you guys waiting for?”
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Adi shook his head. "Why do you keep doing stuff like that, AJ? Fooling yourself isn't a good thing. You just don't want to admit I'm better. You're so stubborn, you know.'' He nodded seriously. Or tried to make it look serious. "Nope. I'm tired of helping you out.'' He let that sink in for a moment before saying, "Of course I'll help you. You don't even need to ask.'' Nope. She didn't. All she had to do was say she needed the help.
Adi was still looking away now. He wished he could just glue his eyes to something else. But there was nothing nor anyone interesting to look at. Maybe if Angel were still up to her crazy antics...AJ directed another question his way giving him an excuse to look back at her. "Nuh uh. I'd keep my lips zipped so you'd look silly in front of everyone.'' Hehe.
Yes. What was wrong with Valentine, Ian? Adi wondered. "Maybe he wants it to be named after you alone,'' he joked. Because Valentine covered all three sisters.
Food, food, food! Adi wasted no time in going for some steak and kidney pie. "Make sure you leave some stuff for your Housemates, AJ.''

The lion squinted at him. AJ was stubborn, but not about this. She thought that she was right. She reached up, and tucked a stray hair behind Adi's ear. "How about this? We are both equally cool." How was that for a compromise? That was as good as it was going to get from her, so she hoped Adi would take it. "You're better than me at magic but that's because you're older." Oh yeah, she had to get that dig in there. He was tired of helping her out, huh? "Fine. I'll just ask Ian." He was the one who helped her out when Adi and AJ weren't speaking. "Hey Ian, you wanna help me out in class sometimes?" Then Adi said he was joking, which she figured that he was. She had options, Rehman. "That's better," she said with a crooked grin.
That's what she figured. "How do I know you're not lying to me now?" The fact was that she could tell when he was joking or being serious, so she really never had to worry about that.
AJ stared at Ian, awaiting his response. Then what Adi said was sinking in. What was that supposed to mean? "You mean like since it is my house we should name it AJ or something?" That kind of made sense. It was her house after all. AJ scooped up mashed potatoes, and chicken on her plate. "Mmm. This is good stuff." She looked over to Adi's plate. "What's that you're eating?" She may just have to try that.

Ian laughed. Nothing's wrong with the name Valentine, per se. I just think that we should be open to other ideas. Something maybe a little more manly. He liked being a badger. Badger's were fierce and feisty and he liked that.
It was then the food was noticed and he reached out for some creamed spinach and a slice of hard bread that he added some butter to and then he took out a handful of wings. He thought maybe they were chicken, but you never really knew at Hogwarts. Perhaps they were frog's legs. Who knew?
He picked up a pitcher and poured out some cold pumpkin juice and took a long drink, cause all this talking made him thirsty.

Seven years ago they had been so tiny (Tag not so tiny anymore) and excited and ready for Hogwarts and all its food. Now they were not so tiny, hopefully excited for their last Hogwarts meals and excited for a new chapter. At least, Tag was.
"So, is there going to be a feline play day this summer?" It was a serious question. Totally. Tag and Penelope could hang out, as well as their furry felines too.
"I know," Penelope replied with a smile. She hadn't doubted that he meant what he wrote. Tag wasn't the sort to lie about that stuff or say it just because it sounded nice.
"'Course there will be. Don't want Spot and Stella to miss each other too much, yeah?" Though there might be a new addition to the kitty group some time. "I've been thinking about getting a new cat though. Someone for Spot to play with more often." She'd been wanting one for awhile, but Hogwarts only allowed one pet, so it seemed best to wait until she'd graduated...and that time had finally come.

"I kept saying it was the year of the lion but no one believed me." Seeing the decorations in the Great Hall now they had no choice but to.
"It was awesome being on a quidditch team with you," With all of them that had gone on really, "and sharing a house. Don't think I've ever said it before but didn't want you leaving without knowing." They had fun. Did she remember them all sneaking into the Prefect Compartment that one year?
"Plans for after this place?" What were they?
"Just makes our win even more awesome, yeah?" There was something extremely satisfying in proving others wrong, particularly now with proving to others just how awesome Gryffindor was. They were awesome regardless of whether they won or not, but now the other houses couldn't doubt it or claim otherwise.
Penelope hadn't expected Alexa's next statement, but it brought a smile to her face. "That means a lot. Thanks." It was nice to hear, like maybe she had made some sort of impact here, even if it was small and she'd never really considered it until now. "S'been fun hanging out with you." Both on and off the pitch. Alexa was always fun to have around.
"Yep. Gonna be an Auror." Hopefully. Assuming her NEWTs worked out. But she was feeling okay about them, and she'd actually been studying since the beginning of term, so they should be good. Maybe not Os, but surely Es at least.

Oh, wait a minute. She hadn't thought about Theodore Kinsley. Suddenly, she started agreeing with Lex. "I forgot about him." Which was technically true, she had managed to simply ignore plenty of people, and he seemed to fall into that particularly category. "I'm with you on that, but it wouldn't have been for long." And Lotus wouldn't have minded much, to be honest, it's not like she was close to Kinsley in any way so she would be annoyed by him.
Speechless. Yes, she was speechless after that entire explanation. The weird thing about it was that it absolutely made sense. But, like, it wasn't until this term that they found that Innovation Lounge, yeah? More like they were told about it, but shhhh. So, perhaps there were far more rooms they weren't aware of. Granted, those who are not involved in the yearbook whatsoever didn't know of other places, but rooms like that lounge made it all worth it. "We did get to see a room we've never seen before this time around." And Lotus got to spend a lot more time in the planetarium than... well, ever. Not by choice, though, it was the only way to stargaze without freezing to death. "Sure, that all makes sense. Some epic events aren't exactly worth it, though." Hmmmm, "I mostly miss epic people." Such as Ivy Knox. Yes.
Still beaming about summer plans, though. They're gonna have the best of times, NO DOUBT. "I agree!" she nodded enthusiastically, "Except with the vitamin D problem." They had no problems, you see.

It was definitely a special joke. No need to wear it out. His words, though, Lotus laughed softly at them and shook his hand. Tag had been very fortunate, that was true. "Always a pleasure, Mr. Kildare," and she added a wink just because. Business, right.
Laughter usually happens if one finds something funny, yes? Unless it was related to a revenge of sorts, but this wasn't the case. And she wouldn't be laughing, mostly smirking. Now, about this sun... the real sun is actually quite predictable, if not for the fact that it was technically a time-bomb, like any other yellow dwarf. But there was some truth to what her boyfriend said. "It's a good thing we probably won't be alive, then." Why, of course she wasn't serious, clearly joking about this. Imagine if Airey could even hear them. But the man seemed preoccupied about other things at the staff table.
Speaking of...
...a speech came, and it... told them nothing about the cause for this snow or anything. Not even where the Groundskeeper had disappeared to. Well, nice to know everyone cares.
Now, food. She smiled at Tag and winked his way. No need to mention that, really. Of course she'll be eating.

"Why are you squinting? You need specs or something? Then I'd call you four eyes AJ,'' Adi kidded. And then she was reaching towards him...and fixing his hair. In doing so, her hand brushed against his ear. He liked her touch. Very much he did. But he made yet another joke. "Make up your mind, AJ. Do you like my hair messy or next?'' He didn't care what it looked like. He wore it mostly tussled up, anyway, since early into the school year when AJ started ruffling it up and had told him she liked it that way. Except when he went to Bellaire's class. That woman probably would toss him out of the class if his hair was all over the place.
Eh? She was asking Ian? That shouldn't bother Adi but it did. O_o "I don't like being replaced,'' he said and pretended to sulk.
"You know me so well, because I'm not.'' The Puffer grinned. Of course, he would tell her if she looked...imperfect. Not that she ever did in his opinion. "Yep, that's exactly what I mean, AJ. Maybe you and I should start our own then, Ian.'' Adi bit into another slice of the pie , chewed then swallowed. "It's called steak and kidney pie. Never tried it before?''
