See, she couldn't for the life of her understand why some people, primarily Culloden, made her group out to be a bunch of monsters. They weren't, they were merely spirited individuals that needed a bit of guidance from time to time. She was all for chalking this chat down to be one thing, successful.

"Oh... I see." Labs.. that sounded ominous. "I suppose that's fair enough, though are you supplementing your learning still? Perhaps brew things without their presence?" Needed to keep those skills up, and if it was points she was after and interested in gaining as opposed to learning, then a little initiative on her part could be rewarded.

Seren loved toast, but hated that it cooled too quickly, so she scoffed it down, sucking the sticky jam from her fingers in the aftermath. She had to shake her head... did the girl know nothing of how this worked?

"I'm not interested in taking your points... I want to see Gryffindor win too you know? It's been far too long. No, if I wanted to punish you I'd get you doing odd jobs for the care taker, or helping me out in the greenhouses... or detention..." did she see where she was going with this? Removing the wand from her pocket, she placed it on the table between them. "Have your wand back, but use it responsibly." Or as responsibly as humanly possible by Zahra's standards, whatever that was.

Angel giggled when she suddenly saw Kevin being really worried about the fact she had kissed him. "Hey Kevin, I've never seen a boy blush so much." Angel giggled, take that meany. "You won't mess with me again will you." Angel smirked as she thought about what he had done. "So what you going to do now?"

Angel then listened to Leah. "Hey what are you doing?" Angel giggled at her bestie. "You trying to poison me or something?" Angel smirked, this was so amazing and now she had to figure out what her friend had done to her drink but she couldn't.

Kace was really tired this morning. He was still rubbing his eyes. He tried to get the sleepies out of his eyes. He didn't really sleep well last night. He was tossing and turning. But he needed to get up to go to classes today. But he needed breakfast because his stomach was rumbling. He put his hand on his stomach to silent it. As he was groggily walking like a zombie, he thought he was at his right table. He just saw down and saw pajamas out of his eye.

He grinned and said, "Maybe I should have worn my pajamas..." as he got a bowl for his cereal. He began to pour some when he realized he wasn't at his table. He shrugged and decided to join the lonely gyrffindor. "So I see I am not the only tired one.."

Uuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...... was Zahra doing what? Haha Zahra didn't mean to laugh, but that WAS a pretty funny question. She gave Professor B a little nudge, as in, nooooooooooooooooo. No she wasn't brewing potions. She didn't have a cauldron! "I'm supplementing... with extra Creatures work. Professor Thompson is REALLY cool. He didn't mind when I stuffed a garden gnome down my shirt and got bit." SO you know? She was sticking with the Professors and subjects that didn't get her in trouble.

Odd jobs were punishment? "I'll do odd jobs! I'll do all the odd jobs. Just... just...do me a solid and not mention this to my parents. Or Headmistress Bunz. Whatever you want, I'll do it." AND COOL HER WAND. It'd been a while... Zahra picked it up, waved it above her head, "GRYFFINDOR!!!" she cried. WOOT. FOR THE CUP. FINALLY.

Though his eyes were barely open, Zander could make out the shape of a person approaching the table. As he started registering the face, Zander heard him grumble about wearing pajamas. "Whyy, would you where your pajamas to breakfast?" He said looking towards the person, or hoping that he was looking towards the person... The Gryffindor was still oblivious to the fact that he wasn't wearing his normal house robes... Oops.

AHA! Blueberry muffin, found ya! Taking a huge bite off of the muffin Zander decided to reply to the boy. Even though it was super difficult, considering that he was a super zombie at this point. "Mffmfmgffm-yeah-fmfmggm,".... Was he even speaking english anymore? "Buu-berrreeeh muffin?" he said offering up his towards the boy.... Completely ignorant to the fact that he had already taken a bite.

Well that hadn't been the response she was hoping for. Hardly surprising. She should have known better.

"Well that's something at least..." but she wasn't about to ask about the gnome. Why the girl had one down her shirt was beyond her. What did have staring though, was Zahra's enthusiasm toward odd jobs. Really? She wanted to do that? With everything going on, she figured this might be useful. "I'm in the process of relocating my office, once I find a nice enough space, so you can help me move and unpack if you like. That aside, I know the entrance hall needs regular sweeping, it's been a right mess with this winter, what with everyone tracking in slush all the time." It was one of those regularly-requiring-maintenance areas. So she was welcome to that too.

And good Merlin. She was just going to pretend she didn't see the girl waving her wand around foolishly after being told to be responsible. She would not regret this. She would not regret this.

Slurp slurp slurp. That's why Cinna loves chicken noodle soup it's just so slurpie. She finished off her bowl and was about to get another bowl full.

When she heard a voice that was very familiar. "LUXXIE!!" She waited on her to get her soup before giving her a great big hug. "Sup?" She sat back down and got another bowl of soup for herself.

Happily Lux returned the squishy hug with Cinna, BEAMING. It was so amazing to eat chicken noodle soup with someone as awesome as one of her besties. And this soup was SOOOOO good. It took a lot for her to resist the temptation to sip it right from the bowl. Instead, she used a spoon and remained a lady.

"I was feeling really hungry as usual, and I wanted to come here for something to eat. So here I am, enjoying the best soup I have ever eaten!" Another bowl of this stuff would definitely be needed. "What about you? And how are things going with Bart?" Details. Lux wanted them NOW.

Kace was still rubbing his eyes when Zander asked him the question. He grinned and shrugged. "I think I would wear them because they are comfy but I know I would be judged.." He was still eyeing the food and found a chocolate chip muffin and grabbed one. He took a bite and it was delicious! He laughed when he heard him talk. "You having trouble there?" he asked still chuckling. He offered the blueberry muffin and he shook his head. "Noooo fanks!" he said in between his bites. "Hmm mate I think i see pancakes over there.." he said eyeing them and got three of them. He chowed down and was feeling good. OH!? Where was his manners.....

In between a gulp of milk and a swallow he introduced himself as, "The name is Kace.."

Cinna was sooo happy to have a friend to eat with now. Especially Lux. She was awesome. And Emmy too. She grinned from ear to ear. Eating soup was happening again. Slurp slurp. Now look at Lux being all lady like. So could she. She picked up her spoon and ate the soup the right way.

She listened to Lux as she talked. Still grinning she added "With the best company ever. And this soup is amazing." She took a few spoonfuls of soup. Before answering her shallowed the warm broth. "I've been freezing... And I was really really hungry." She turned and looked right at Lux. She blushed slightly "We're good. He's great. I'm just really happy."

She smiled. She was really happy right now with the way things were. going. She sighed dreamily. "So how are you and Bay?" Nudging her. It was her turn to talk now.

Lux giggled as she saw Cinnamon stop slurping her soup and start to eat it more ladylike as she was. Her bestie was really coming a long way from burping and acting like a total tomboy. But Cinnamon was still the same awesome person as ever, and that made her happy. "Yes, totally amazing!" Eating more soup, she thought she could live off of this stuff every day until the spring weather came around. Warm weather seemed so far away now though.

Awwww, Cinnamon was happy with Bart. This was so awesome. She had thought since last term that they would be an amazing couple. "I so told you that he would end up liking you back!" And now there they were dating and happy together. It reminded her of herself and Bay. Hehe. And speaking of Bay... "Things are going great." Nudging her friend back, Lux wondered if more details would be needed. If Cinnamon wanted them, she was totally willing to oblige!

Swallowing her food and casually drinking some juice, she added, "And if you put bugs in any girl's hair again, Kevin, I'll report you to the Headmistress." Surely she would know how to deal with kids messing with girl's hair.

Startled, the Badger stared at her best friend. "What are you talking about? I didn't do anything. Really." she said, nodding, and giving Angel her loyal Hufflepuff look. "But I don't know, Mr. Kevin here might have slipped you some poison." She raised an eyebrow.

Pajamas!? To breakfast!? Was this boy insane or....? That would be ridiculous. Pfffttt. The idea made Zander burst out into a fit of laughter. Maybe it was the idea itself, but it was more likely the fact that he was still so tired and pretty loopy. Yeah. Probably the latter option seeing as he didn't even notice that he was in fact actually wearing his PJs. "I mean I guess," he replied, actually seriously considering the idea this time. "Naaaaah, that'd be really weird," only weird people would wear their pajamas to breakfast duh, Kace.

Zander shrugged when the kid denied the muffin. Whatever. More for Zander! MHMM. Pancakes? Nahhhh. Waffles were better. "I like mfhmhmf-waffles-mmfmmhgmm," he struggled to speak through bites of the DELICIOUS muffin that the kid had passed up on. Hmph, he's really missing out. It's beautiful. The name is Kace? Was that supposed to mean that his name is Kace? Because that's a weird way to say it. "The name is..." HAHAHA, no that sounded all funny. "I'm Zander," much better. Then he looked around at the table and raised an inquisitive eyebrow. "You-mfmmhgm-in Gryffindor?" he had never seen the kid at this table before... So was he actually a lion or?

"I mean would it be weird? I think we may start a trend and wear pajamas to the great hall on the weekends.." he shrugged and was considering the idea. He didn't think it was weird at all but then again...what was weird to Kace? Anyways back to his meal! He smirked when Zander said he liked waffles. At least from what he understood from his mouthfulness. He was good at that since his Aunt Kerry always asked him to do something whenever her mouth was full. "Would you like some waffles after your muffin?" he asked.

Ahh so his name was Zander? Interesting name. "Is it short for something?" he asked. It could be a nickname. He didn't know. Oh? Wait a minute. He looked around, he was at the Gryffindor table?! Uhhh....he thought he was at the Hufflepuff table! "Oh ermmm I thought I was at the hufflepuff table. I guess I was more tired than I thought.." he shrugged. "But while I am here, I might as well enjoy my breakfast." he said pouring some syrup on his waffles. "So what year are you?" he asked him trying to keep the conversation going.

Zander nodded politely, still with a mouth filled with muffin. Sure.....Pajamas to the great hall on weekends? Yeah this kid was definitely insane. "Mffmf-I-mmmfhm-guess," Did he mean it though? No. No freakin way. That would be BEYOND strange. Besides, Bentley could see him and he did not need her to see his superman PJs... Talk about embarrassing. Waffles after the muffin? DUH, is that even a question. Zander was going to eat ALL THE FOOD! May have been tired, but never too tired for food. "Yeah! MHM and some bacon too," MMMMMMHMMMM BACON. Boy, the house elves had really outdone themselves this morning!

Short for something? His name was kind of strange wasn't it. Naaaaah it's just the lack of sleep speaking. Or was it? Eh. Zander took another huge bite out of his muffin. Awh man it was almost gone. Maybe he'd go for a second round instead of getting a waffle. Hm. "Nooo, just Zander," LAST BITE awwwh. "My parents just liked the name..." They were weird like that. And so was the idea of wearing pajamas to breakfast. Yup. Zander snorted as the boy just now realized he was at the Gryffindor table. Ha. Unfamiliar territory? "Yeah too true," Gryffindor breakfast was probably much better than Hufflepuff breakfast anyways, because every item came with a side of BRAVERY. Yup. It's really true. It's been proven. It's a fact. "I'm in my mfmmm year," he realized that taking another muffin was proably not the best choice... Especially mid sentence. So he also raised up his hands and held up three fingers so that the boy would understand.

"How bout you?" What a yummy muffin. Was this kid sure he didn't want one? He was soooo missing out. "Sure you don't want?" There were only a few more left on the table. He'd better grab some before Zander ate them all. Because that'd totally happen...

Cinna gave her friend a sideways look with a grin. See she could be all lady like if she really put the effort in to try. But this soup, man it was sooo good. Soup this good should really be slurped. The way this winter was going there would be plenty of time to slurp it up. She could do that another time.

Hehehe Now they were having a girl talk. Boy maybe being all girly girl wasn't that bad. At least not the talking about their boyfriends. Epppp. Yeah, she nodded to Lux. "You just knew. Didn't you?" Grinning again. Yeah.... So maybe she wasn't as forever alone as she though. "That's good." She wiggled her eyebrows at Lux after she nudged her back. Hehehehe they could have endless talks about their boys now. And school stuff since she was here now. "How's classes and stuff for you?"

Lux could totally tell that Cinnamon wanted to slurp her soup even though she was using a spoon. Hmm. Putting hers down on the table, she lifted her bowl to her lips and started slurping it down. They could totally do it together!

Finished her bowl of soup, Lux wiped her mouth totally not wanting to look like a slob. Grabbing the ladle she dished more out for herself. "I totally knew! Have you gone on a lot of dates yet?" She sure hoped so! Lux went on a lot of dates with Bay and they were always so much fun. Giggles at the eyebrow wiggle, which she returned to Cinna. "Is he a good kisser?" It was a valid question! This was boyfriend talk. Boyfriend talk was awesome.

"Classes are killing me. There is SO much work! How are they for you?" Surely Cinnamon was feeling the pain too; they had the exact same workload after all.

Kace chuckled when Zander wanted the bacon. "I take it you really like bacon?" he cocked an eyebrow as he saw him eating more. Man this dude was really hungry. He kept eating his muffin in the process and Kace was starting to get full. He had the pancakes, waffles, muffin and some pumpkin juice. He was going for something little maybe like a pastry. Possibly cinnamon rolls? But wait he was at hogwarts, they wouldn't have those. He got some cereal and poured some for himself. Good to know it was just Zander. At least it wasn't short for something. He chuckled some more when Zander was trying to speak with his mouthful. "Dude you can slow down.." he offered. "You look like you haven't eaten in weeks.." he chuckled spooning in some of his cereal.

But he was in his third year. Just like Emmy. He wondered if he knew her. "Do you know my girlfriend Emmy Duchannes. She is a third year like you?" He was just curious. Oh? Now onto him, "I am a fourth year.." he smiled. He didn't have to raise his fingers this time. "Nahh mate I am good with cereal.." he told him.

Zander smiled and nodded. This time he didn't go to speak with his mouth full. He hadn't totally lost his manners you know. Just kind of... But anyways. He wasn't a huge fan of bacon. He did love it. But it wasn't his absolute favorite. But whatever. He was too tired to explain. He just liked all foods in general. "I just like eating," he smiled. This time he made sure to go over his teeth with his tongue before he opened his mouth to speak. Incase there were any bacon bits stuck in between. Wow. How embarrassing would that be? Almost as embarrassing as sitting at the wrong table (heh). Or as embarrassing as wearing pajamas to breakfast, which he still hadn't realized that he was doing. Oops.

Zander chuckled when Kace made a comment about his speed. He just really loved food okay? What he lacked in confidence, he made up in appetite. Heh. "I'm a growing boy!" he protested, fighting the urge to yawn. "My dad says that growing boys need lots of breakfast," this time, he did yawn. "And breakfast is the most...." What was that saying again? "Yummy meal of the day." Was that it? Yeah it's got to be. He then took another yummy bite out of his second muffin. Yep. Kace was totally missing out.

Girlfriend?! Well... that escalated quickly. Zander's eyes widened, but not too wide because they were still all groggy and what not. Emmylou? Had a boyfriend?! A boyfriend who was sitting right in front of him. Eating cereal and talking about having a girlfriend like it was no big deal. It seemed like everyone was in a relationship these days. Jeez. Didn't anyone else appreciate the fact that girls were really scary? Well all the girls cept Bentley. Because Bentley is perfect. But still. She was hardly a girl. She is a WOMAN. A beautiful one a that. NO CAN'T THINK OF BENTLEY! MUST THINK OF... BRUSSELS SPROUTS! Yuck! Wow, Lux was right. That really did work...

Back to Emmylou, "Yeah, I do know her," he smiled. "She's really sweet." Just like this muffin. Was Kace positive he didn't want one? It was glorious. He should probably eat some. Yeah. MMM Muffins were so good this morning! "Me, Emmylou, and Cinnamon all had to enchilada together during the Playmates club meeting. We ate jellybeans," Why did he feel the need to elaborate? It was probably the sugary muffin talking. But he felt the need to talk. It was keeping him awake. So was this muffin. YUM. "Fourth year...." Zander grumbled. He didn't know any of those... Did he?

Kace chuckled when he made the comment about just eating. "I love to eat too. Who doesn't? I think it is in our nature to just keep eating." Is he right? I mean dude's just love to eat. Kace chuckled some more. "I am a growing boy too. And you are right breakfast is the most yummy and important meal of the deal." He agreed with his dad had to say. He was getting hungry again watching Zander eat and he found a chocolate chip muffin. He took one after he finished his cereal. It was getting to be a good breakfast after all.

Kace saw his eyes widen at the mention of girlfriend. Kace took a sip of pumpkin juice and swallowed before speaking. "Sorry mate is that a sensitive topic?" He wasn't replying after a while and was sure it was an awkward topic for him. He smiled when he replied he knew Emmylou. Well at least they could be friends right? "You made an enchilada?" he asked with a quirked eyebrow. "How come I wasn't invited?" he asked jokingly. Ah so he was a fourth year from what he could hear. "That is pretty cool mate, same year as me. I know a few fourth years..." he said. "Possibly girls." he winked.

ALL the way down to the Great Hall, Dima continued talking the Gryffindor Prefect's ears off. Wasn't she interested? But Lex hadn't blatantly told him to shut up yet like most others would have after THAT much of his chattering, so he saw no reason to simmer down. Quiet? What was that?

He followed her to the Gryffindor table, pausing very briefly to take a breath.

INHALE. EXHALE. TALK MORE.

"And THEN the wand dude's hair caught on fire, but he got me a wand anyway! Wanna here about the time Kyroh and I rolled all the way down to the kitchen for waffles on his birthday?" Paaause. "And who's gonna try our omelettes?"

It wouldn't have been the first her fingers brushed against her wand in its holster but she was getting better at this self control thing. When she was a Firstie just everyone that had a wand tried silencing her and she wouldn't return the favour no matter how much she wanted to and with Dima....she VERY much wanted to. Had she talked that much when she was 11? She didn't think so. Lex hadn't been known to walk around with the nicest older students. They'd have told her to shut up if that was the case so what was this drop of karma making her ears ring?

Her eyes scanned the table while she let him continue about the wand maker. How was this related to Ancient Runes? What did this have to do with her? NOTHING. With a heavy sigh, she turned to him. The person she'd been looking for wasn't here.

"I...dunno..." She began in answer to his question as she placed both plates on the table. Lex flopped down, figuring they needed a new plan. It said an objective judge. Meaning someone who never saw and didn't know which was done by magical fire, yeah? But.......if Dima couldn't see the omelettes....he wouldn't know which one they'd made where....in theory.

"I got it. Sit. You're the food tester." The Professor would never have to know--unless the kid had a conscience, or worse, he didn't know when to NOT brag about getting away with things. Dear Merlin for once let the Ravenclaw have a brain.

Not knowing was basically a yes, right? It wouldn't do any HARM, so Dima had already opened his mouth to launch into another bout of aimless chatter when Lex started talking again. Had she spotted an objective judge someplace around there? The kid didn't know too many Gryffindors, so that wou-

"I am?" He blinked in confusion but sat down obligingly, staring at the prefect with wide eyes. "But I know which one's which." Or... did he? They looked sorta the same... did they smell the same? Blinking some more, Dima sniffed the air. ... nah.

Yuuup, there he went trying to understand and use his big Ravenclaw brain to figure things out. "Right, so let's play a game called 'don't think like a Ravenclaw'. It's super easy, just stop questioning the really smart Prefect that knows how to skirt rules. 'Kay? Brilliant. I can already tell you'll be grand at this game." Because questions were perhaps one of the biggests hindrances out there. If he started wondering whether he knew the difference between the two then pretty soon he'd realize he did and he wouldn't be very objective then.

Lex reached over and undid his tie. Why his? Because she didn't feel like re-tying hers after, obviously. This would come in handy. "Hold still." She said, fastening it over his eyes and making sure it was tight enough to prevent peeking--again, not that Botros would know.

Okaaay which one to stuff down the baby Claw's throat first?...The kenaz one....? Mmmmm, sure, why not?

Lex cut away a piece of the omelette. "Open up and try not to die before I feed you the second piece and you guess, yeah?" You know, in case her cooking really wasn't that great for people's health. Without waiting for too much protest she stuffed it into his mouth and waited for him to chew and swallow.

Make it quick, Dima.

What? Was... was that ALLOWED?

Dima kept staring at her for a while, then finally whispered, "But that's cheating."

Unless... she was covering his eyes? Huh. He tried to stay quiet and still and follow her instructions best he could. Did a blindfold make him objective? It counted, right? The first year opened up wide for her, wiggling his tongue a little and waiting. That was... that was pretty yumOW HOT HOT HOT=
