She was starting to think maybe Cutty was a bad person at the school one to avoid but then why would he let her sit on his knee on the journey over here. "Prefect?" Angel saw the Prefect badge and realised this must be the person Cutty wanted this thing delivered to. She help out A little paper pyramid housing a chocolate sphinx inside of it. "Cutty said I had to give you this." Angel smiled at the prefect.

Lex had only just helped herself to another bread roll when she heard her title, technically. Bolton was at the table too, whoever it was might have been referring to him. She glance over though, just in case it really was her and spotted one of those First Years she was meant to be making things up to.

She watched the box house being offered to her, it took only seconds to know what it was and hearing it was from Cutty only made it better. Where was the guy anyway? She'd have to thank him.

"Gee thanks." She said, reaching over to take it. "Did he say why?"

The arrival of food was evidence enough that she'd missed the entire speech and would need someone to clue her in. Right then, that was easily taken care of.

Alexa flopped down at the table next to Ezra, giving him a little nudge as she did before she began piling things onto her plate. Missing the first half of the feast did NOT mean she'd be missing the food, regardless of the fact that she had plans for more food later. A Gryffindor could never have too much food and they would all do well to remember that.

"So." Lex said, giving everyone at the table a look over. "What'd I miss?"

If they proved of no use in answering she would ask Lottie-or Cassia, who was now Head Girl and obligated to listen to what the Headmistress said. Real shame it was.

"Hello, I'm Lucy, a first year, nice to meet you!" Mmmmm .. the speech was really a bad surprise .. The school received a threat and the headmistress was forced to cancel the Quidditch ... ... no play, no training, no matches .. nothing .. also there will be a security around the school. We can do nothing to change things? Maybe the teams that control the players?"

If Lex knew her candy--and she very much did, she now had a chocolate sphinx to work on on her way up to the Common Room later. This was great and all but she wished the Firstie would have clued her in on stuff while she gave her the chocolate. Sigh. Looked like she'd have to get the information from Lott--......ohai there other random Firstie; Lucy as it would seem.

It didn't surprize her to hear that the speech was bad. How many good ones had they ever had? Exactly. Lex took up her goblet of pumpkin juice and promptly did a spit take. "WHAT???????" Her eyes shot to the staff table before settling on the little lion again, hazel eyes wide and wild with disbelief. "Cancel WHAT??? They...they can't." hdvskjhfsjf....JBDKSFEGSYRGFISRGFKSRGIFSGR!!! NO.

She set her goblet down, figuring further attempts at drinking might lead to choking. She didn't CARE about the security OR the bloody threats. Quidditch??? SERIOUSLY???? Was that what she wanted to speak with Mo and the others about??? Whaaaaaaaat?

"Oh Hogwarts is great so far, though I am a bit scared that I'm going to get lost around this place, it looks massive." Angel then decided to ask Adi something. "Do you think You and Benny would look after me, whilst I find my feet?" Angel hoped they would say yes, though in truth she just wanted to hang out with Benny as much as she could.

O____________o

Angel blushed at what Adi said next. "I.... I... I..." Angel was trying to think of something to say fast. "I call everyone cutie." Angel lied trying to make an excuse up. "like how are you today.. cu... cut.....cut.." Angel stopped no way could she say that Adi was a cutie she liked him as a friend but well he just wasn't cute, well not as cute as Benny.

"I used to think like that but I learnt my way around the Castle in no time,'' Adi replied as he helped himself to some pumpkin juice. Yep. For the Headmistress had just given her speech about security and what not. That would explain they strange dudes at the Staff, Gryffindor & Ravenclaw tables. Anyway, back to Angel. "Of course we will,'' he continued, not at all realising Angel's secret motive. "Anything you need to know, just ask us.''

Adi couldn't stop grinning. "Sure you do, Angel. But you can't seem to call me that. I'm offended.'' Hehe. That offended part wasn't true. He was just teasing. "Benny and Angel sitting in a tree...'' the third year said in a sing-song voice. Oh Merlin! He was never going to let this go!

SPOILER!!: Sir Nick!
Oh marvelous! And just in time too as food appeared on the table for all to enjoy. Everyone except for him that is. He certainly hoped that the Lady Mackenzie remembered his request. "There you go, no harm done, no harms at all" he jest towards the Gryffindor girl. He beamed down at Sir Kildare and nodded his head in appreciation for his actions.

"From what I have heard floating up and down the corridors this evening is you all have plenty of gossip on your hands to not need be bothered by the long tales of us ghosts," he teased. "Although, between you and me, the Grey Lady has taken quite the fancy to me which of course has the Baron in a real irritable state."

Exactly, no harm done. Tag nodded at Nick's words. They were all made of magic here at Hogwarts so any mess or trouble someone got into could be fixed up easily and made to seem as if nothing had happened. "No harm done. If you're still feeling a bit sick later on the Gryffindor prefects, either of them, can lead you to the hopsital wing if you need." Tag assured her.

Gossip? If quidditch being cancelled was gossip than Tag didn't find it much gossip. Though, everyone had their own views and opinions on everything. "Do you have your eyes set back on the Grey lady as well?" Tag asked. This was kinda interesting, you know? Ghost gossip. Ghosts fancying each other. There's something Tag thought he'd never think. "And watch out, Nick, we don't want to lose the house ghost over here." It'd be a shame though.

SPOILER!!: Lucy!
Lucy had seen what had happened to her friend Bree and so Lucy went immediately near her and Lucy had noticed a older boy who had gone to help Bree..
"Hello Bree, you feel better now?" ..
Then Lucy turned to the boy and said with a smile: "Hello, I'm Lucy," "A penny for your thoughts"! I hope everything is ok for you .. "I'm sorry.. I' m a first year and I do not know how it works. ., but I would like to say to my parents that I been sorted into Gryffindor House .. Can I send them an owl now or should I wait until tomorrow morning? ".. I'm sure my parents are many curious and eager to know the latest news!"

And then it seemed Bree's friend, or Tag supposed, had came over and was making sure that she hadn't been sick anymore. Which Tag understood, and then she was introducing herself to him and asking questions. A bit chatty, but something Tag understood, especially being first year, there were so many questions. "Tag." said the blonde, smiling back at the younger one. He nodded at all her words and then answered her. "Its dark out right now, I highly doubt, with the threat the school has, and even with the extra security around the castle, you'd be allowed out right now. Even if there was no threat or security, the feast ends and everyone generally goes up to their dorms to sleep." Tag explained giving the girl a nod. "Tomorrow is best. And congratulations on joining Gryffindor."

Angel was glad about that, it wasn't like they wouldn't see each other and then she was thinking about what it would be like if the school had four buildings but they could only go in their house building she thought it would be weird, seeing all the same people over and over again.

"Oh I'd love to go and see the library sometimes." Angel really thought that it would be cool and hoped that she could meet this Librarian guy as well because he sounded so like so much fun.

Angel smiled at the other girl. "Awesome." Angel wanted to make as many new friends as she could. "Nice name." Angel really like it and then she decided to give a hand since the other girl seemed a bit nervous. "Why don't I tell you about myself first. "I'm Angel and I'm from parents that have no magic, also my sisters Aubrey and Abby come to Hogwarts, were triplets." Angel decided that was enough information for now, she could tell more about herself later.

Angel had a feeling that this girl didn't like her and she had no idea what she could have done to upset anyone so soon and she was going to try and get to the bottom of it but not just yet she had things to do first, so instead she just smiled and replied. "Yeah there's Abby, who's Ravenclaw and Aubrey and I are Gryffindor." Angel had a feeling Candice could tell that so she didn't continue on the subject.

"As for telling us a part well normally people just have to guess." Angel had a funny feeling that this girl was going to come up with a way to tell them apart and she really was a bit worried about it, she never thought about the other students they shared a dorm with having trouble telling who was who but well they could figure something out later.

Angel just looked at Benny and realised that his cheeks were going red, and she had blushed a bit, it had been an accident she hadn't meant to call him it out loud she was too busy daydreaming about things and it had slipped out, she was glad that he had ignored it.

"Okay then, so if I ever meet him, I should run and hide behind someone?" Angel hoped that Benny would be there to save him if that happened but well she would have to wait and see about that for now she was trying to figure out something else to say. "So what is the grounds like here?"

Angel was about to continue with the cutie-pie that was Benny when suddenly Adi spoke. "Oh yeah, I agree." Angel's suggestion certainly made sense from the information he had from books and others about Peeves. He was quite thankful he hadn't any real first hand knowledge on the poltergeist. "Um...sure...I guess that would be the best," he said in answer. "Best to keep his attention away from you and get tricked." And best to keep attention away from the topic of Angel and her possible crush on him.

Which of course was very much drawn by the headmistress as she stood up and gave her speech. Security...check. The people not students or staff was kinda obvious in their presence. No quidditch?! Awww he was beginning to really like the sport from last term. And given the reactions of those around him including a certain lion prefect, he wasn't the only one disappointed by the news.

Sigh. Bummer.

"What?" he questioned, hearing his name as Angel asked Adi if the two of them would help her get settled in the school. "Sure I gu---" he started to answer, being brought up short once more. Now his bestie was starting to sing about him and Angel and he wanted to hide.

"Don't make me tell Sophie..." he threatened, thinking of the first thing that might get him to stop with it.

Zander needs a friend, anyone interested?

Zander looked around the Gryffindor table quickly as he tried to remember all the faces. Though he was a third year, he spent the past two in the shadows. Didn't volunteer during lessons. Didn't care much about his marks. Didn't try to make new friends. He hadn't really warmed up to the idea of being away from all his friends back home. But after two miserable years at Hogwarts without any friends, he realized that he could not let himself stay invisible for much longer.

Zander had a mission. A mission to make new friends, or at least a friend.

O______________o

Why couldn't Adi leave it alone.

"I... I... eh." Angel was blushing she could tell. "I do, I just don't seem to be able to call you it." Angel lied, she hadn't called anyone cute before, she normally thought all guys were icky. She stared at Adi when he started to sing a song because she was getting upset, why couldn't he leave it alone.

"Who is Sophie?" Angel asked, was that Adi's girlfriend because if it was she was going to tell her all about her Adi was upsetting a first year at Hogwarts and how he had been really bad. so take that Mr Adi! Angel looked around and smiled as she ate something before speaking to Benny. "So C.. Benny what is there to do at Hogwarts when there's no lesson?" Angel had just heard about the cancellation of something called Quidditch.

Sorry for the delay guys! <3

SPOILER!!: Angel
Angel was a bit shy, she knew Ben, he was the cute guy, well she thought he was anyway but the other guy she didn't know and he looked like he could get angry and Angel didn't know what to say. "Hi Adi." Angel decided that was the best thing to do, as for Ben or should she say Mr Cutie-Pie has was just being his normal self, she hoped he'd talk to her more later.

Angel looked at Aubrey again. "I have no idea, but I've heard that they have a mixture of all sorts, like fish and chips, and mash potatoes and gravy and things like that." Angel really thought it would be cool if they did have.

Angel then watch Aubrey do the opposite of what she said. "OMG!!" Angel cried with laughter. "yo.....yo...you...." Angel was struggling to control herself. "You... sho...shoul....should s....e see your.... your.... yourself." Angel finally managed to get what she wanted to say out. "I must admit though.... I do... I do... sound like.... like mum.... when... when I..... I go..... like that." Angel continued to giggle as she looked at her sister.

Listening to Angel describe the possible food choices only made her stomach growl that much more. Really any food would be good at this point, but she was hoping for a bit more assortment. She wanted to try something new and exciting. ”I really want to try something new.
AJ was about to talk more about food when she caught a weird gleam in her sisters’ eye as she looked at Benjamin. Hmm… what was going on there she wondered. ”Are your eyes okay? she asked while she gave Angel a playful poke.

SPOILER!!: Benny
[
SPOILER!!: Angel and AJ
QUOTE=Harry174;11604029]Angel smiled, when she realised that Benny was talking to her, she had been scared he wouldn't want to speak to her now he was with all his other friends. "It's amazing isn't it." Angel totally thought it would be cool if they continued to be friends, she really thought he was cute.

Angel suddenly saw he was looking at her sister but she didn't say anything but smirked it would be fun to see if he put two and two together. "So is it normal for ghost to pop up out of nowhere?" Angel had nearly screamed her head of when the ghost came.

Angel smiled at her sister. "It's more that pretty awesome, it's amazing." Angel really hoped that her sister wasn't planning on doing anything crazy. "I think I'll speak to her later." Angel beamed, she didn't really want to lose her seats and the way everyone was moving about surely was confusing everyone.

"I think they would." Angel giggled, surely her sister wasn't going to get into trouble the first night. "And before you think about it, don't go and bother any of the Professor at the staff table telling them how much trouble you are going to cause them." Angel rolled her eyes at her sister.[/QUOTE]

Amazing could be a word to describe his house....well their house now that she was properly sorted. So Benny nodded in response to her comment. "Uh huh, that it is." Amongst a whole bunch of other adjectives that were out there and just as fitting at times.

"Occasionally," he remarked with a shrug. "Sir Nicholas is the Gryffindor house ghost...he and the other three like to show up at feasts." That being said she shouldn't be scared of the, well dead man. He was an outright gentleman despite his predicament. "Peeves is the one you have to watch out for. Quite a prankster."

"Thanks, Sir Nicholas. It certainly feels good to be back." Hopefully this term wouldn't be quite as...painful and achy. "Uh huh...they were."

So he wasn't the only one who was confused by the two identical girls. Adi was clearly caught in the middle as well but he knew the other one...AJ. And he himself knew Angel. What was the chances of that? Ben offered a polite half-smile when his best friend introduced them, fighting the urge to frown when he used Benny. No one else better pick that up.

Merlin Forbid.

"Um...nice to meet you, AJ." Hearing his friend continue on, answering his previous questions, Benny nodded in understanding of it all. It was better to be back both young and back at Hogwarts for the next term. Plenty of fun and learning to be had.

Triplet?!

That explained it. The identical appearance, or similar in the case of the third sister who clearly looked different by AJ's own words. "Oh...alright," he said simply taking it all in. Two sisters in the same house...Gryffindor House. At least he didn't have to continue gaping like a fish in surprise because of the new discovery.

"I take it you two met over the summer?" he asked looking between Adi and AJ. Back when he and his bestie hadn't been able to meet up for one reason or another.

This one didn’t seem like he ever had much to say. She decided to make a mental note on not playing 20 questions with him. AJ usually got a bigger response when she told somebody that she was a triplet, but Benjamin actually didn’t seem all that interested. He got his question answered and that seemed to suit him just fine. [/B]”It’s nice to meet you as well.[/B]

Yup, Aj knew Adi alright, but it wouldn’t have been out of character for her to act very friendly to someone whom she had just met. ”We met at the sweet shop actually. He told me a very interesting story about some frogs actually.” She shot Adi a smile.

SPOILER!!: Adi
Oh, AJ wanted to be a Puffer, did she? Too bad the Sorting Hat didn't think she was Hufflepuff material. Ah well. "Gryffindor is a cool House with cool people,'' Adi agreed. He grinned broadly now. "Well, Aubrey "Fun" Valentine, do you have anymore questions? You practically drowned me in them in Diagon Alley.'' Adi was always ready to help with answering someone's question if he could so he didn't mind, anyway.

"Nice to meet you, Angel,'' Adi smiled at AJ's sister. Wait, wait, wait! Triplets?! Oh Merlin! This was surely a recipe for mistaken identity. At least with Caleb & Sophie one can easily tell them apart. Adi would need to figure out a way to tell these three apart. "Is your other sister in Gryffindor too? And does her name also start with A?"

"Yep, Benny. At Sugarplum's.''
Adi grinned. Benny would understood why he had been there. Sweets were awesome! "Speaking of summer. I think you forgot you have a best friend during that time.'' Yes. Why the Puffer not hear from you, Benny?

”Gryffindor does seem cool and the people are great so far.” She had still yet to meet anybody from the other two houses. Well, there was her sister Abby, but she didn’t really count right? Did she have any more questions? That was like asking if the sky was blue. ”It’s pretty safe to say that I always do.” She was a bit off her game though because she was starving over here.

”When do we find out about our classes and stuff?” She needed to know when her lunch schedule will be. ”Will I only be able to go to class with the Gryffindors and the people in my grade?” Because everybody that she had met so far had been older than her and she was hoping to be able to see them more often, and an older student sure would be helpful for homework. As she was asking Adi a million questions she couldn’t help but to notice his hair. ”What kind of shampoo do you use?” she asked while combing her hand though his luscious locks. AJ never really cared about appearance much, but Adi’s hair was gorgeous… even she had to admit that.

SPOILER!!: Candice

Candice was waiting for something interesting to happen and maybe some foods would be nice. She didn't get to at anything during the train ride. Why Willy didn't tell her that she need to wait a while before they served the food?

Then suddenly something came out from the centre of the Gryffindor table. Its the Ghost. What's his name again? Sir Nicholas? Yes, she read Hogwarts History even she only read a few pages. She's no Ravenclaw after all. "Hello, Sir Nicholas." The blonde girl give the ghost a curt nod.

"I'm Candice Messer." That was her name. "The new recruit." Nod.

And help them to win the House Cup. She's not really an academic person but she'd try to help them beside Gryffindor is her house now so she might as well try to contribute something.

Text Cut: the two Valentine

Candice spotted a familiar face and its not the face that she's glad to see. No! Its the annoying girl from the platform. The one that called her Grasshopper. What's she doing in the Gryffindor table? She looked at the girl's tie. Its red. Nooooooo..!!!! She's in the same house with her? What's her name? Angel? That Hat! Just wait till she get her hands on that stupid old hat.

And then she saw Angel's carbon copy. What the....???! Did her eyes playing trick with her or the girl has a twin. She was really hoping its not the latter. "Are you guys twin or something?" She asked the girls. Please let it be a coincidence that they're look alike.

Text Cut: Arista & Kennedy

"Uh huh." Even though she still wished that old stupid hat didn't put her here but what's done its done. "So, how's your boat journey? Did you see the Giant Squid?" She asked Arista. She was curious because she didn't see the famous squid.

And then Arista made a comment about the guy from Ministry was planning to overthrown the Headmistress. She's not so sure about that because even if they did plan to overthrown the Headmistress wouldn't they send someone more experience?

Candice's eyes went from Arista to the Ministry guy. "Keep eye on things?" She raised her eyebrows. "What things? Do you mean the Groundskeeper? Because he like to eat bad kids?" Yes, that must be it. "I'm Candice. What's your name? And what's your badge stand for?" Speaking of badge. Where's the Badges people from her house. She hadn't see any badges people here expect this old guy she was talking to.

Lost his bookmark? "Eeeerrrr. Okay then." Weird. That guy was weird.

Was he going to stay there till the feast end? Well then, that mean more foods for her.

The eleven year old saw more and more Gryffindor started to join them in the table and one of them was the girl she saw during the train ride to Hogwarts. She did say she's a Gryffindor and now they're in the same house. What's her name again? "Hey, girl from the train." Wave. Yeah. She's bad at remembering name.

Um… hi person that she was pretty sure that she never met before. Oh, she was talking to Angel and it looks like she just discovered that they shared the same face. ”Hi there, I’m Aubrey, but you can call me AJ.” So she was one of her housemates and she had to be about the same age as her.

”Actually we are triplets.” But, yes technically speaking AJ was a twin of Angel and now came the part to see how she would react to this. Back home everybody already knew about the Valentine triplets so she had forgotten how annoying it could be to have to explain this to people over and over again.

SPOILER!!: Nearly Headless Nick
"The good sort, Mr. Hirase," Sir Nicholas stated with a wild flourish of his right hand, twisting around in a clockwise circle from the wrist. "Perhaps Gryffindor will stand a chance if you cease getting caught in your antics."

"I intend to do no such thing!" he retorted. "Sensitivity of a blunt axe you've got there." How could she not have paid attention to his lavish greeting and grand appearance?!

Another one with the sensitivity of a blunt axe. "That is a tale not for the faint of heart," the ghost replied. Particularly his journey. Sir Nicholas admired her curiosity and as such should be rewarded with the knowledge she sought. "Only those who fear death are likely to leave such imprints of themselves to roam the earth among the living, along some of us have an especially strong connection to the locations we roam."

Blink.Blink. You just had to be afraid of death. ”Who isn’t afraid of death to a certain extent anyways?” AJ didn’t want to die, but she didn’t know if that would really count as fear. She was just about to launch into a second set of questions when a familiar voice caught her attention.

SPOILER!!: Ian
Ian walked up to the Gryffindor table to congratulate AJ (and of course Angel) on being selected for the house of the lion. Of course he was disappointed they didn't get chosen for hufflepuff, but he was sure they'd love their new home.

He was in time to see Sir Nick, the Gryffindor house ghost speaking with the girls and he chuckled at their responses.

Ian, always mindful of being polite to those who roamed the castle eternally nodded to Sir Nicholas. Good day, Sir Nicholas. Nice to see you in such fine spirits. Looks like you've got a couple of good ones here, though they may take a few moments to get used to your presence amongst us.

He looked to the girls. Hello AJ and Angel. Congratulations on being sorted into Gryffindor. I'm sure you'll both do quite well. I am however disappointed you won't get to experience the pure joy of being in Hufflepuff, but Gryffindor would be my second choice if I had to choose.

”Hey Ian! Thank you. Too bad we aren’t in the same house.” He was one of the cool people that belonged in Hufflepuff and one of the reasons why she wanted to be sorted there herself. She was liking the people that she was meeting so far in her house so she knew that it would all work out.
”Can you stay here and eat with us?” She really hoped that he could and that he wouldn’t have to go back to his own house table. It would be nice to be able to talk to him some more.

Great? "This place is the BEST." Except maybe that stupid old hat. It wasn't that great. Candice noticed that the boy was sitting cross-legged on the bench without shoes. "Are we allowed to do that?" Maybe she should do it to. It looked really comfy.

"Yeah I can't wait to see our Common Room. My dad always talked about how wicked it was. Comfy chairs to climb on and big ole windows to look out onto the Ground from." And plenty of places to hide probably.

He noticed that she looked down at how he was sitting and he wiggled his toes absently. "I've never heard anyone say you couldn't be bare-foot at the Start of Term Feast. Besides I forgot to pack my socks and my foot has a blister."

Today had been such a rush. He quickly began to stuff his face with mac-and-cheese.

SPOILER!!: Alexa, Penelope, and new firstie LUCY

What.

No Quidditch? Seriously? None at all? For her last year here? None? Because some freak thought it would be cool to threaten it?

This was absolutely mental. Penelope was NOT happy now and she didn't really hear the rest of the speech or any responses to it. Her LAST year and some moron decided to ruin Quidditch for her. Seriously? Why?

She wanted to punch something. Preferably the person who was responsible for all this.

And now she didn't even really care that the food was here. Her appetite had faded as irritation took over.

Oh right, the kid. Ezra. He was talking again. Penelope tried to focus on what he was saying.

She shook her head. "Nope. Never while I was here." Until now. "And it's my last year and everything." So lame. Meh.

Oh, and their mums were similar apparently. At least with their houses. "My mum was a Ravenclaw too. And my dad was a Muggle." So no Hogwarts for him.

Stare. Alexa really hadn't paid attention to the speech? How? Did she only just get here or something? Penelope hadn't really noticed...so she just got straight the most important part.

"Quidditch's cancelled." Ugh.

Ezra had a mouth full of mac-and-cheese and was going in for another one when someone sat down on his other side, the one not occupied by Candice. It was Prefect Alexa! HE was sitting with the PREFECT, and she chose to sit there, he hadn't even ask to sit with HER.

"Hi A-LEHX-AH." The first year said with his mouth full, then a small apology after he'd swallowed the cheesy goodness. The Speech, yeah. Right.

Ezra was about to tell her ALLL about the horrible Headmistress who had cancelled Quidditch for the year when another new face at the table spoke up, a girl who's name he didn't know. He waved at her though. When she was finished and Alexa-PREFECT was beginning to show shines of exploding Ezra spoke up.

"Yeah, I was just sitting her talking to Penelope, you know her right?" Of course she did, duh! "Well we were talking about how cool Gryffindor was and how our mom's both were in Ravenclaw," he nodded at the older gril across from him as if checking his facts, "and then Truebridge goes and drops that waffle on us. LIKE A BIG WAFFLE." He slammed one of his empty shoes on the table for affect before taking another big bite of mac-and-cheese.

"Penelope said she played Quidditch, did you Alexa? What position were you Penelope?" The boy was CURIOUS okay? He'd never played Quidditch with a girl before and according to their reactions to the announcement there could be TWO on the Gryffindor team!

Adi was enjoying himself. When was the last time he got to tease a friend so much? After all, that's what best friends were for. Hehe. Poor Benny. Adi knew his friend wanted to disappear but Benny had no need to worry. He wouldn't carry on the teasing for long. But right now, not even the threat from Benny could make him stop. "Tell Sophie what?'' he asked innocently. "That I have a crush on her? I think she knows that already.''

Was Angel looking upset? Yes, she sort of was. Awww. Adi didn't want to upset on her first day at Hogwarts so he shut up. "I'm only stopping this because of Angel,'' he informed his bestie. "And don't worry about it, Angel. I've shut up now.'' Though he will surely resume some other time. "Sophie's my friend,'' the Puffer said. "I'm going to ask her to be my girlfriend soon, though.'' Oh yesh, he would. He hadn't told anyone that not even Benny but he figured it was time to let him know.

Throwing the "lovebirds" a grin, Adi turn his attention to AJ. "Well, fire away,'' he said and tucked a bit of roast potato is in mouth. Gosh, he was hungry! Adi chewed as he took in AJ's questions. He swallowed before addressing them. ''You'll get that from your Head of House soon. Nope, you'll be having classes with other Houses so don't worry. You'll get to see me.'' Adi winked.

Uh. What was AJ doing? O_o But he had to admit, AJ running her hand through his hair did feel good. Shampoo? "Um, I'm not sure. It has a picture of Iron Man on the bottle though.'' Like that would be a big help. "Mom usually gets them for me and I've never bothered to check the name.'' Anything with a superhero on it was good enough for him.

Mentions of Angel and Benjamin as well. :)

Now that she finally had some food in her belly, AJ felt like she could fully concentrate again. No Quidditch? That was a bummer because she met a cool chick that was telling her all about the sport, and she definitely wanted to try out. "Is sport canceling and death threats the norm around here?" Also, did she completely miss the whole conversation going on between Adi, Benjamin and Angel? She noticed how Angel was acting in the beginning, but apparently Ian had distracted her enough to where she missed out on a whole conversation. She eyed Adi as if daring him to continue to tease her sister. He said he would stop, and she would see to it that he actually did stop.

Head of house right. "Which one is she?" If it was a girl anyways. "Can you point her out to me?" she asked looking at the staff table. "Cool. It will be nice knowing some older students." AJ didn't think too much into the wink as she herself was not boy crazy like her sister over there.

"Iron Man is cool, but Batman is better." Obviously. Wait, she was asking him about shampoo and not his superhero preference. "Ypur hair looks so maintained." For lack of a better word.

Then Lucy turned to the boy and said with a smile: "Hello, I'm Lucy," "A penny for your thoughts"! I hope everything is ok for you .. "I'm sorry..

Lucy said: "Thank you Tag! .. I think I'll write later a long letter to my parents so tomorrow morning I will send my owl Amber in her first flight of this long journey .. I think they will be anxious about the threat against the school ... I do not like the idea of starting the first year under close surveillance? What do you think about? Do you play Quiddich?"

"Yeah, I know her." Teammates up until last term and housemates. Penelope was one of the cooler ones. "Hey Penelope." She didn't know the girl's mother was a Ravenclaw. "That's neat. Good to know she wasn't the only one devastated by this, not from what Ezra was saying.

"Our old Captain had me all over the place." So yeah, she did play Quidditch and would need to speak with Mo because....because he was a Ravenclaw and would know what to do? Because he was a Branxton? Maybe. "Started out playing Chaser but got to play Beater--that was my favourite, cracked Mo's skull once and broke some bones...but then Alice made me play keeper." The Gryffindor pulled a face. Never. Again. Possibly quite literally if they kept up with this rubbish.

Tag listened and nodded some. Good to see first years were taking the advice of others. Very smart. "You're welcome Lucy. Yeah, well, I don't know where you live or anything it is a long flight for owls and delivering in the daytime is better for them as well." Nod nod. Yep. Surveillance, Tag felt so so about it, but he could deal with it. " Seems a bit of a drag, honest. But at least Hogwarts is taking some safety initiative. My fourth year there was a goblin attack one day. And dementors were getting into the castle all the time. So, I can understand the security." Again he felt so so about it.

Quidditch. That would be the talk of the castle for a couple of weeks, Tag supposed. Especially by those who were really into it. "I'm not one of those "quidditch is my life" people but I played on the team for three years. So i can live with the no quidditch, though the matches were fun. " Tag answered Lucy.

Penelope simply nodded about knowing Alexa, even though the question hadn't been directed at her. The explanation got a single nod too, although she didn't agree with the waffle part. Waffles were good, THAT was not. It was an insult to waffles to compare the idea of no Quidditch to them.

"Hey Alexa." Another nod, and her mum being a Puff was thought about briefly and then pushed to the back of her mind. There were more important things to think about than what houses their mums were in.

What position did she play? "Seeker." And Keeper once, but that was all the way back in her first year for one game and it had been bad, so it wasn't important. Seeker was her thing, and she loved it. And missed it. Merlin, she missed playing Quidditch more than she realized.

And no she didn't pay attention to what the threat was, if it was even explained, so she'd let Ezra explain if he knew. He seemed to have paid more attention than she had.

Oh and another firstie. Find a way to play? In hiding? Hmm...there was a thought. "I like the way you think," she said with an approving nod.

Anyone? :D

You had better bet all your galleons that Demelza would be back at Hogwarts for the final year of her magical education. After everything that had happened last term, transferring to Hogwarts was the best decision she had ever made in her entire life. The place was obviously no WADA, but it could be debated that she was learning a ton about the noble art of acting. She got to have a professional photo shoot, proved to herself that she was the master of acting terrified (though little effort was required for that due to being stalked in a certain bathroom), and learned the pain and suffering of being old. Without a doubt, this school was surprisingly preparing her for the future.

Speaking of the future, apparently there wasn't going to be any Quidditch this year. Demelza did not think too much of this. Yes, she had made the team last year because, well, she was perfect at everything. But she never actually got to play the sport as her self-taught acting lessons got in the way. But one of her prefects and a number of other students were freaking out about this.

Was she supposed to be that riled up about this, too? Awkward...

Her mind wandered as she started playing with her hair. It was probably best to not say anything about Quidditch while it was a touchy subject. She would just sit back and observe ... that attractive man sitting by the headmistress. Why, hellooo! Was he part of security? Could she volunteer him as her personal bodyguard? She did not want Flamsteed, mostly because he wasn't very good at saving people from the Heir of Slytherin. Just saying.

Zander kept looking around the table for someone to talk to, but his search continued to be hopeless. It seemed as if everyone already had their own friends. Maybe he'd just keep quiet this year too.

BUT WAIT.

Could it be? There was hope for Zander after all! There was an older brunette sitting right across from him this whole time. So yes, he may have stared at her for a couple minutes before working up the courage to say anything. But hopefully she didn't notice... "Um, H-Hi there." His cheeks turned a light pink color as he noticed himself stutter a little. He hasn't even told her his name and he's already screwing things up.

Yes, yes, Mr. Tall and Handsome up there would make an excellent body guard. He definitely looked like the type who could keep her safe from anything, carry her books to each of her classes, give her something to look at when things got boring, maybe even carry her up all those blasted stairs when she got tired at the end of the day. Although she was still with London, there was nothing wrong with looking, right? She continued to gaze up at the staff table and watched the man’s mannerisms. His pretty face ... those pretty eyes that were focused on the Gryffindor table ... that pretty smile ... wait – why was he looking down her table? Was he watching her?!

Demelza blushed and immediately looked away from the staff table just in case. This was so awkward. And she did not even know if that man was in fact looking at her. She was tempted to risk another glance, but she feared that she had given herself away. Now was the time to play cool. Breathe in, breathe out.

Fortunately for her, she heard a male voice that was coming across from her. With a quick blink, her eyes focused on the boy in front of her. She couldn't help but notice the pink in his cheeks. Either he was blushing or he was wearing a little makeup. Demelza assumed that he was blushing and gave him a warm smile. Aww. How adorable! "Hi," she replied, making sure to not look back at the staff table. "I'm Demelza Diggle. And you are?"

Zander visibly softened at the sight of her warm smile. Okay so far so good. Maybe this whole actually-talking-to-people thing wasn't as hard as he thought. Well, no the talking part was difficult, but listening? He could listen all day! This was a peice of cake!

Demeiza Diggle he repeated to himself. He'd have to remember that for later. It was the first name he heard all day and if he remembered anything from this year's welcome feast, this would have to be it. Demeiza hadn't even made much of a reaction to his nerves and that comforted Zander. Hey, maybe she didn't even notice the stutter!? That, or she was nice enough to brush it off. Either way Zander liked this girl already. Just for that.

"I'm, uh, Zander Adair." HA! Clear and concise. This was progress. And no blushing this time. Pft practically at a professional speaking level now. "It's really lovely to meet you." Wow. It's really lovely to meet you!? Did he really just say that out loud? Way to play it cool Zander. He silently cursed himself for that one. Maybe he should just stop now before he embarrasses himself any further. But he couldn't just end it here. No, that would be even worse that "lovely".

"I'm a third year, what year are you in?" Okay that's enough. He'd have to work on this whole conversational thing. But it's only the welcome feast. There is time to grow. Or not to grow. But either way, there is time.

First there was the no Quidditch announcement and then the sight of that attractive security man. This was already an interesting term, to say the least. Not that she really cared about the first bit of news. It was only a sport and had no impact over what she wanted to do in the future. But that man was something. He was pretty, and Demelza liked pretty things. Luckily someone was there at her table to save her from making a complete fool over herself over a complete stranger. But it was still very tempting to look back up at the staff table. She hadn't even gotten the chance to look at what Mr. Tall and Handsome was wearing. Maybe there was enough time for just a quick peek.

She turned her head ever-so-slightly to do so, but then the boy across from her started talking again. Demelza nodded her head when he told her that his name was Zander and flashed those pearly whites of hers at the mention of it being lovely to meet her. Well, naturally it would be. "It is nice to meet you too, Zander."

There was a brief pause as Zander looked like he was deciding what else he should say. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Demelza made a quick glance at the staff table just to make sure she wasn't imagining everything about the man sitting next to the headmistress. Everything seemed to be going normally, as normal as things could get. She made a mental note to bump into Mr. Tall and Handsome later. Until then, there was a feast to enjoy.

"I am a seventh year," she said, placing food on the plate in front of her. Her brown eyes then looked back at Zander. "Third year, though. Hmm. Is this your first year here?" Or maybe he was just too shy for her to notice him right away like the others?

Another smile? Wow. Either he must be doing something right, or she really just likes to smile. Hopefully it's the former, but either way a smile is never a bad thing, right? Yes right. He needs to stop doubting himself. He kept noticing the older girl looking over to the staff table. Did it have anything to do with the quidditch announcement? Or was he really doing such a bad job at trying to keep her interest? Woah. A seventh year?! His eyes must've doubled in size. Is he even allowed to talk to her?! Okay no. They're having a conversation and that must count for something. It's like that time his dad taught him division before subtraction. If you start with the difficult stuff, then everything else will be easy. So if he starts with a seventh year, then talking to everyone else won't seem as bad. Unless you count professors. That will be pretty bad no matter what.

And here it goes. The million dollar question. Zander had been preparing for this one all summer. After realizing how potentially embarrassing it could be telling everyone that he didn't try to make friends his first two years, he needed some rehearsing. "Yeah-- I mean, no. I-I've been here since my first, but um. I was [am] really shy and I guess I just didn't really make an effort to reach out to anyone." To be quite honest Zander wasn't really aware of his lack of participation until his parents asked him if he wanted to see any of his friends over the summer. To which he had to respond, what friends?

And yes, the past two years were dull and spent mostly under the covers reading comic books (each three weeks a new issue would arrive, basically the best investment of his life). But if he works really hard to make some new friends this year there'd be no harm done.... "But I'm not going to let that happen this year." Hopefully she'd see that. He was the one to initiate this conversation, doesn't that count for something? And by this rate he'll be a socialite in no time at all! Or at least by seventh year.

Thoughts now on Zander and the food in front of her, Demelza tried to push Mr. Tall and Handsome to the back of her mind, at least for the time being. There was still a lot of the term left to see if she could have that pretty man as her personal body guard. Being a Gryffindor, she didn't really need a body guard. She was tough. Or, at least, she could act tough. It was one of the faces she could put on, being a future actress and all. But extra protection wouldn't hurt. And her face was just to pretty to be put at risk.

However, the risk of danger was pretty low at the present time. All of the staff and other security people were at the feast. The only real danger would be the Quidditch addicts rebelling, Cambridge in particular. Demelza had heard all the stories about her cracking skulls and breaking bones. But the odds were that she would be safe if there was a sort of rebellion. She was, after all, the one that didn't cancel the sport. Plus she could use Zander as backup, just in case.

Before replying to Zander, she took a bite of food and nodded her head. So he was extremely shy. The slight stuttering and the blushing made sense now. Demelza gave him a sympathetic look. She never had been a shy person herself, but she could imagine what it must be like. "Well, you are definitely starting off in the right place. I could maybe help you out with a thing or two, if you are interested. I'm going to be a professional actress when I graduate, so being social and all of that is kind of my thing."
