That's right folks, come on in a Gobstones match between two of your favorite Hogwarts houses is taking place and you don't want to miss it or the prime seats up front! The room that plays host to the Gobstones matches has a few rows of raised seats along each of the long side walls, leaving plenty of room in the middle for the players to shoot for the Jack Stone.
Find a place to cheer on your house or whichever house you want to win because these players may not be brawny Quidditch jocks (or they might just be) but they still deserve the support!
The benches in the Great Hall were pulled to the side, serving as a viewing area. For those of you who did not find a seat, you may stand close by, just make sure not to touch or interfere with anything.
OCC Note:Magical Soul, the rest of staff and I (Nordic Witch) are going to do our best to keep an eye in this thread as Matches progress, although it is no longer a moderated thread. Remember all SS School RPG and site rules apply here. Thank you very much for watching!

"So far no. I'm trying to remember where Professor Botros was sitting during the match. Do you remember?" Cris ducked his head out to look questioningly at Adi.

Adi continued to search under the bleachers until he heard Cris addressing him. He crawled back out so he could face the other boy. "Actually, no. I'm not sure.'' That was weird since the last match played here involved Hufflepuff and both he and Cris had been present. Oh, well. Maybe the two were concentration too much on the game to notice anything else. "But even if we did know where he was sitting there's no guarantee that the Remembrall will be there. They'd probably roll off somewhere.'' Cris nodded. "Yeah I guess you're right. Holler if you find it," Cris told Adi before he crawled deep under another bleacher.
Yech! more candy wrappers which he grabbed up and shoved into his pocket to be thrown later. Sticky gobby fluid in various colors which would make sense since the gobstones spray tended to fly all over the place when broken. Then he saw something unusual. Something that was glowing swirly red. Cris crawled closer towards.
"I think I may have found something here, Adi," Cris called out to his fellow Remembrall searcher.

Adi flashed his fellow Hufflepuff a thumbs up before crawling back under the bleachers. Here, Remembrall. Where are you? Adi scanned his surroundings carefully, not wanting to miss an inch of it. So far he saw nothing red and round.
That's when he felt something tugging at his hair. Startled, the third year reached up to feel his head. His hand caught something sticky. Gum! Ugh! Now it was stuck in his here. Greeeeat. Wait until he told AJ he had gotten gum in the hair she loved so much.
Was that Cris calling? "Coming!'' Adi called back as he crawled out from under the bleachers, the gum still stuck to his hair. "I found a whole lot of nothing,'' he said as he approached Cris. "What about you?''

"I think...I might...I have...found....something...GOTCHA!!" Cris' fingers wrapped around the thing that had been glowing swirly red. Its surface was cold and smooth. Cris slowly pulled it out and to his amazement, he realized he was holding a glassy round object in his hand. He slowly back up from under the bleachers and looked at what he was holding in his hand.
"I think this is what they call a Remembrall right?" Cris held up the glass ball as he got to his feet.

Adi sat down cross legged as Cris grappled with the object. Wouldn't it be awesome if they found at least one of the Remembralls here? Botros would be so pleased.
He examined the glass object when the sixth year retrieved it. He had never seen a Remembrall before only in books but Cris had found one all right. "Well done! It is a Remembrall.'' Adi grinned. "Score one for Team Adi and Cris.'' Hehe. "Do you reckon there's more around here?'' If Botros had dropped one here maybe he had dropped another.

Cris grinned from ear to ear. "I thought this might be it," Cris tossed it up and down in his hand, before gazing into the Remembrall. It was a deep red by now. "Wow this thing is red. Guess Professor Botros has something he needs reminding of really bad," Cris lifted up the glass ball to show Adi before dropping it into his jacket.
He shrugged at Adi's question. "I don't know. There could be. I mean he was here for both matches. He could have dropped another one at the first one. Let's keep looking," Cris suggested as he walked over to another bleacher and crawled under it.

"I wonder what he's forgotten.'' Poor old guy. Old age did terrible things to most persons brains. "Hope it isn't too important.'' Adi had gotten a good look of how red the inside of the Remembrall was before Cris put it in his pocket.
"Good idea,'' the third year said. "Let's just check once more just in case there's another or so lurking around here.'' And with that, Adi crawled back towards the side where he had been searching before but this time he went further down the end of the room. Let the search continue!

....and down Cris crawled on all fours as he kept a watchful eye for any other Remembralls that might have been misplaced by the Ancient Runes Professor.
...dust and more dust and a couple of spiders...thankfully none of their giant cousin, the Acromantula...a couple more candy wrappers, to which Cris wondered who had a sugar tooth...and of course cobwebs.
Once he had given the row of bleachers a careful examination, and not having found any glass ball of any kind, Cris crawled backwards until he was out from under the stands. Brushing off the cobwebs and dust from his clothing and hair, he walked over to where Adi had disappeared under another row of stands and going down on both his hands and knees called out to his friend.
"I didn't find any where I was looking at. Any luck at your end?"

Adi endured more dust and debris as he crawled under the bleachers once more. He seriously hoped there was no more gum stuck anywhere. One wad tangled in his hair was enough. He was going to need someone to help him get that out.
"Come on out, Remembrall,'' the third year said in a sing song voice. His eyes darted from left to right but he saw noth- wait! What was that glinting there to the right? Adi crawled off to investigate.
Edging closer to the glint, he realised it was another Remembrall! Awesome! He grabbed it. This too was rather red. Just at that moment he heard Cris calling to him. Adi quickly crawled back out and with a grin handed over the Remembrall. "One more to add to our collection.''

So there was one hidden under the stands!! Cris was glad that they had decided to search further. "Well done, Adi. Well I've looked under this one and I couldn't find any more, so I guess we just have two. Which makes sense cause as far I know Professor Botros was only here twice this term. So unless, he misplaced others the other terms, I think we're done here. Hey do you want to check out the staff dias with me? Considering the staff go there to eat everyday, we could have a smorgasbord of Remembralls hidden under there," Cris suggested to Adi.
He liked the boy and with his help, they'd be able to find the memory balls a whole lot faster......plus, one could be the lookout while the other searched. Yes, it wouldn't look good for either of them, if they were caught under the tables while staff were still sitting there.

It sure was a good thing Adi and Cris decided to expand their search a little longer. Staff Dias? Adi was up for that. He nodded. "Sure! Let's go now. Unless you've got other stuff to do.'' Like homework or something. He was eager to find more Remembralls.
Adi stood up and dusted his clothes off. And with the wad of gum still stuck in his hair, lead the way to the Great Hall. Look out, Remembralls! Here came Cris ad Adi!

And it was that time already... the Gobstones Consolation Match.
Seren made her way to the viewing area, as always, dressed in red to mark the occasion, and selected a seat in prime position for viewing Her only hope would be that there wouldn't be any spraying of gob in her direction this time. Grosssss.
"Goooood luck my dear Lions!" she cheered as things got underway.

Arista hadn't been to one of those matches that were on the boards so when she read the next game was Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw she decked herself out in red and made her way over to the viewing area. This game would be interesting, hopefully. Specially since Gryffindor was going to win.
"Professor Bentley! Here to watch the Gryffindors win?" she asked as she sat down in a seat near the Professor. Ooo look it started!!

The match already held a great deal of promise, and it didn't take her long to convince herself that this would be theirs to win. They would win, and in a number of ways, they were already winners anyway.
It was however, a little sad that she was sitting by herself, but she was sure that others were coming, Arista's arrival confirmed this.
"Helllooo dear," she sang jovially, in too good a mood. "Absolutely!... there's no point in contemplating a loss now is there?" she asked, though her attention was on the match that had started. Bay had a cracker of a roll for Gryffindor, but Sophie seemed to have a great deal of concentration on her face when it came time for her shot too.. OooOoooooohhh! Exciting!

Arista didn't quite understand gobstones but she would make an effort and try to figure out this thing. It shouldn't be to hard, could it?
Would it just be her and the Professor that weren't to busy to watch the game? That was cool cause that meant Ravenclaw would be sad no one came to cheer for them! So plus for the lions.
"Nope. Especially since we lions always win!!" she giggled while paying attention to the match. Okay so that guy just threw a ball and so did that girl...Did they both win?? "So Professor did Bay get the point or did the Ravenclaw because they both threw the balls?" She may have magical parents but it didn't mean they played wizarding games.

Arista was clearly optimistic, if not perhaps not a little naive. Gryffindor never won. Or at least rarely won. She chuckled nervously at this response, "Weeeeeellll.... I think it's safe to say we're in a good position to be winning this year." They were leading the points race, how long that would last, she didn't know. Still, it was a stellar effort, as Airey would put it... and she was tremendously proud of her Lions.
"Bay got the point," she confirmed, applauding the Lions effort. "See, his gobstone rolled closer to the Jack stone..."
Seren continued to watch as the students lined up their next shots... and Michael took to helm for the Lions, his roll was particularly smooth. An excellent shot. If there was one thing she could say about Miss Brown, was that the girl was tenacious, she certainly had a fire about her, it was a shame she wasn't a Lion also.

He was, er, late. But it wasn't entirely his fault you see. His sundial watch was rather useless given the current climate. He rushed into the viewing area, his hair and shoulders still covered in a thin layer of powdery snow from being outside, and made his way to where Seren and Miss Valentine were sitting.
"Hello there. Hope I haven't missed too much," he said as he plopped down in the seat beside the first year as he began to unravel his scarf from around his neck. His hands were still to cold to remove his gloves, so he kept those on for the time being. His blew eyes fell to the players below and, seeing as neither Mr. Bay nor Miss Brown were especially covered in gob goo just yet, figured he hadn't missed much at all.
"STELLAR THROW, MR. TOUSSAINT!" he cheered for the fourth year while trying to entirely forget their previous conversation from the Tower Patch entirely. "Keep it up, Miss Brown!"

Arista smiled a big grin towards the Professor. Matching the Professor's well she said "Weeeeeellll since were in the lead in points so its just our obligation to win this too!!" Being the winners of the school in all. It just made sense. In her mind it did.
Okay so Bay got the point... Sweet looking at the gobstone she made a small nod. She was somewhat getting it by the end of the game she would understand. "Oh okay."
Oooo look there was that other lion ummm Michael?? And the same Ravenclaw...Ravenclaw where were your other peeps. But she was pretty good maybe she should befriend her. AH LOOK PROFESSOR FLAMSTEED!!! "Professor Flamsteed!! Here to see Gryffindor win, as well?" She asked looking back towards the game. "No not much just Gryffindor making some nice shots." Hearing the Professor cheer she smiled was she supposed to be cheering.
"GO GRYFFINDOR THAT I DON'T KNOW THE NAME OF (Diggle)!!!" She could tell that he was an older boy though... Looking down at Professor Flamsteed's gloves, "Are those some Astronomy symbols?" she asked half tempted to say Astrology instead of Astronomy.
½ EagleBrain ♥ Creeperdoodle ♥ Raven Dor ♥ Berry ♥ ½ Team House Elf
"This is very true," she acknowledged, affording Arista a smile and a sly wink. The Lions were the kings of the castle, that was for sure. In their rightful spot, on top of the ladder. Her eyes were still fixed to the players before drifting to check the standings of the round. So far, so good... and it seemed her viewing companion was picking it up, slowly but surely.
"My that's a lovely colour," she mused at Airey's scarf as he joined their ranks. She let Arista fill him in on what's been missed, which wasn't much of anything at this point, with he exception of their amazing start.
"Demelza Diggle," Seren supplied to the cheering Lioness, her own hands coming together in applause. "Well done Lions! Keep it up!" she voiced, very pleased with the teams play. It was a shame the Eagles didn't have the same team spirit they did. Poor Sophie would have a kink in her shoulder by the end of the match just from trying to keep up.

Relaxing into his seat next to Miss ROYAL, he flexed his arms and rolled his shoulders to get some more of the chill off of him. He was going to assume that his inclinations were correct since neither Seren nor the young Gryffindor were saying otherwise.
He grinned at Seren. "Thank you. Picked out the yarn myself. Took a while to find a proper equivalent to the science officer color, although I prefer a good crimson in real life." He was no commanding officer, so blue suited him best here. Unlike Miss Wisteria. Red would suit her well in this universe. His blue eyes then turned to the Gryffindor. "No no. This right here is the Starfleet insignia and this one here is the Klingon symbol. Would have rather knitted the Vulcan one, but it takes a bit more skill than I have at the moment." Even with this comparitively simple design he had...cheated. Used magic on what was meant to be a muggle past time. A hobby he was giving a go since it was so cold recently. May as well make the best of things.
"WELL DONE, MISS DIGGLE!" he roared as the aspiring actress proved she could do more than cry on cue and many other acting talents she possessed. "Better luck next go, Mr. Adair!" Miss Brown was being very tenacious. The astronomer admired that in the Ravenclaw.
"GOOOOOOOOO MISS CAMBRIDGE!"
Merlin it was nice to see so many lions working together this match. Stellar teamwork! WOOT!

Arista giggled "Oh, thanks Professor Bentley." Well now she knew the name maybe she would see this Diggle person this year. She cheered some more the lions were doing awesome while the Ravenclaws were gaining some points too. Poor Sophie she was the only one that wanted to play or maybe she was just the best!!
She eyed the Professor's gloves once more when he was explaining what they were... She blinked after his explanation.... So they were astronomy stuff... Klingon."Oh cool!" she responded opting for acting like she knew what he had just said. His blue eyes then turned to the Gryffindor. "So you made them? Great job, Professor Flamsteed!!"
She watched the game still not a hundred percent sure what in Merlin's beard was going on but she was trying to understand without the help of the Professors. Seeing Sophie go once more this time before the lion member she decided Ravenclaw needed some spirit to,
½ EagleBrain ♥ Creeperdoodle ♥ Raven Dor ♥ Berry ♥ ½ Team House Elf
There was little more that she could do than smile and nod, and so that's what she did, smiled and nod her head convincingly. It was a nice colour, and the fact that he'd done it all himself, well you didn't see that from a man very often. She couldn't imagine Aron taking up a knitting needle any time soon, then again, her mother did enough of that to compensate for the two of them. The whole science officer, star feet, cling-on thing went over her head. "Nicely done," she decided before turning her attention back to the game.
All of a sudden Sophie took the bulls by the horn and stuck it to the Lions, she was an exceptional player, it was no surprise she'd get her own.
"Well played!" she cheered, though her loyalty still remained with Gryffindor.
astronomizzle ♧ gryffinDORK | & the rest is drag ♣ #badluckDerf
He nodded towards the first year and pat his knitted gloves with pride. "With the weather being what it has been recently, it has been rather difficult to stay outdoors for extended periods of time doing my research. Needed to pick up something else to distract myself and keep my hands busy," he explained. A little break from the mecha building and ironing of his ties and suits was a nice change as well.
Eyes back on the match, Airey found his mouth hanging open like a large mouth bass out of water as Miss Brown really stepped up her game. While Seren had been encouraging in her cheering - she probably felt the need to be a bit more conservative considering she had been a Ravenclaw once upon a time - but he was a little different. Gryffindor over here. A competitive one to boot.
So, he LEAPED to his feet and wiggled around a bit - also as a means to keep himself warm because of the chill in the air and snow down the collar of his shirt before doing some more cheering.
"STOP BEING SO STELLAR, MISS BROWN!" he roared. It was a sort of round about compliment, really. Although it wasn't the Ravenclaw's fault that Gryffindor needed to step things up. "BE TACHYONS, GRYFFINDORS! CHANNEL THE SPEED OF TACHYONS!"

Arista nodded at the Professor, "This weather has been horrid!!" She normally loved the cold but this, this was overkill. She looked down at her own gloves, pink with a crown on them. She had not made hers she didn't have the skills that Professor Flamsteed had. "I'm not very good at knitting, my mum tried teaching me she said every little lady needs to know how to knit and sew but I just don't have the patience!" Remembering how mad she got that she just threw the dang thing on the ground and walked away.
Eyes back on the match! Arista's mouth hung open what in the world happened!!? GRYFFINDOR WAS LOSING!!! How in the world did they possibly get passed? There was only one Ravenclaw that was really playing of course there had been a couple that tried, but they failed. Gryffindor needed to step up their game. Professor Bentley didn't seem to care about the change in 'power' between the two teams but Professor Flamsteed sure did.
Arista let out a giggle at the Professor's opening cheer. The rest she had no clue about. "What in Merlin's beard is a tachyon?" The Gryffindor whispered. What ever it was she would join in too.. Because it just sounded cool. "Yeah Gryffindors be tachyons!! Tachyons!! Go Lions GoOooooOoo!!"

Oh, they were talking about the weather now? This was something she could actually engage with... cause all thing other stuff went right over her head moments ago. "You don't say?...
