Gobstones Consolation Match: Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw The building used for the Gobstones matches had had it's doors closed against the harsh, winter air and its surfaces magically dusted by Professor Botros and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's third preliminary match. Mr Kitridge had walked in with his hands stuck in his coat pockets against the chilly morning air, the Ancient Runes Professor had graciously set up the hall for the third match so Leo could focus on lighting the fireplaces and getting warmed up. As the teams assembled he put his wand to his mouth to enhance his whistle to get the players attention. "Good morning and welcome to the Gobstones club, today's our consolation match and third game of the season, I hope you're all as excited and geared up as I am." Not waiting for any responses Leo quickly signalled for the teams to choose their representatives for the first shot of the game. "Let's begin!" The blue stone rolled past several obstacles before it stopped. The red stone rolled and rolled until it had just surpassed it's opponent before it stopped. The players nudged the stones of their houses, the red stone surpassed the blue one significantly and stopped at a decent distance from the Jack Stone. Blue gob was sent the Lions' way. "Points for Gryffindor at the end of this round. Gryffindor leads 6-0. Come on eagles!" Leo cheered on. It was more fun if the match was close.
