Of course Ana was excited about Hogwarts. Everyone seemed to be on the most part! "Babushka? So that's your grandmother, right?" It had to be if Ana had looked like an old woman last term. It must be scary to look like your own grandmother; Lux loved both of hers, but she would cry if she had woken up one morning and looked into a mirror to see that she resembled one of them. Fortunately, the topic of Terry drove that thought out of her head. "Oh, I lost Bay earlier too. But I found him again, so it was great!" She had been sad when she lost sight of him. "I'm really looking forward to starting another term at school, though I really hope that nothing like last year happens again." The Muggle Studies lesson about death had been the worst part, because there had been a coffin involved. That had totally freaked her out. "And the last time I saw Bay, he was going to the food trolley because he didn't eat lunch before the train, or bring one." Eye roll. "Of course I have some cucumber sandwiches, but he hates them. He also told me he would bring me back something!" |
Quote:
"That's right," Ana agreed, giving Lux an encouraging smile, happy to see that the girl had remembered the term. "She looks good for her age and is in great shape, she doesn't even have that many wrinkles but it still wasn't a great sight," although Ana was sure that when she was properly old she'd be happy to have aged gracefully. Ana listened intently as Lux chatted to her, nodding in the appropriate places. "You know, I think not liking Cucumber sandwiches must be a boy thing. Terry doesn't like them either, something about not enough substance," she recalled from that time when they'd gone to the kitchens and she'd asked for a cucumber sandwich. Terry had been shocked by the thought that cucumber sandwiches were actually a thing. Silly boys. "Now, tell me, how was your birthday party? I was meant to go but then I got the flu so couldn't make it," Ana recalled sadly. She'd been devastated when her doctor had forced her to stay in bed instead of attending Lux's party which she'd been looking forward to ever since she'd gotten the invite. |
This would not work, Penelope thought. Instead of finding a quiet spot, I seem to have bothered an unfriendly, and much older student. "Sorry to bother you, I'll just leave." |

Oh, awesome. She had remembered something correctly. Though, she wasn't sure how much of that had been memory, and how much of it had been logic... Regardless, the girl was proud of herself. "That is totally understandable, I wouldn't want to look like either of my grandmothers, even though I love them." If Ana was lucky, she would age like her Babushka. The cucumber sandwich theory made Lux laugh and shake her head. "You might be on to something there. Bay tried to eat one last term, and he threw it up." So long story short, she had learned her lesson and never asked him to eat one since that day. It was a good thing that he hadn't gotten mad at her over it, because she felt terrible and didn't want Bay angry at her. "But Louis, Lucas, and Sander like them! Sander's brother Cris doesn't though." Oh well. That was life. "My birthday was great! I had a lot of fun though I missed seeing you there." It was okay though; Lux totally understood. |
Posted Kanna in the wrong color by mistake DX Quote:
She then held out the box for him to take one, if he wanted. "My name's Kanna," she introduced politely, after setting her bag beside her and removing the quill from her teeth. He didn't seem to be in the mood for... much of anything. At least she had offered him an introduction and something sweet to eat. As far as she was concerned, she obliged him nothing more or less. Her head swiveled in a flash of koolaid red and she offered a smile at the proclaimed first-year. She almost gave her name, but her host seemed to go in a different direction. Holding her breath at the awkward clashing of personalities, Kanna nibbled at her sugar quill to keep quiet |

He heard the small noises of the girl doing something, opening a bag or something, and simply ignored it until she spoke introducing herself to him. Gareth turned and eyed her again in his silence. He stared at the box of sugar quills then at her face as if doing some evaluating. Then he leaned back ignoring the sugar quills, a half smirk appearing on his face. "That stuff is bad for your health, Kanna." What kind of a name was that? |

"That wasn't a 'no'," she said, a hint of a teasing tone in her voice. But she was getting vibes to leave him alone. If he still declined the candy, she would sit back and leave him be. She was very upset over losing her MP3 player. Her father had been able to charm it enough for the muggle device to still work fairly well. She had no idea where she had lost it, but... She didn't want to press him to introduce himself. She was learning to not be so pushy. Kanna would spend their time together without knowing his name if she had to, but hoped he would at least... Pff. She didn't even know. But she hoped his mood improved. As it was, he didn't feel like a black hole of energy, which was good, because she couldn't stand people like that. |

"Well of course not. You're still a young girl," Ana agreed almost calling Lux a child but avoiding doing so. At Lux's age Ana certainly hadn't thanked anyone that caller her a child. Especially not people who were only a few years her senior. "I do look a lot like my babushka though. There are pictures from when she was young and I could almost be her doppelgänger!" Which amused her to no end since it proved that she was her fathers daughter. Something which a few family members had doubted after her parents divorce and her mamushka hastily remarried. Ana nodded sympathetically, Lux having told her about Bay's experience with cucumber sandwiches last term after it happened. Ana had been inclined to laugh at the story but Lux's sad and worried face had stopped the laughter before it could rise in her throat. Clearly she still felt somewhat guilty about it. "Finally! Some boys with sense!" Her theory might not be correct, and them liking cucumber sandwiches proved it, although they could be the exception too it, she was glad that there were other people that saw the beauty of a cucumber sandwich. "I'm glad you had a good day sweetheart," she said, her tone earnest as she brushed some hair out of her face. "Hopefully next year I'll be able to make it if you have a party." |

After eyeing the box of sweets again, he looked back at the girl's face raising an eyebrow. And even though he had the feeling that he would be regretting the move later and cursing himself for him, he reached for the box and picked one of the sugar quills being extra careful about not to touch the other sweets in the box as he picked one of them. "So you already know." That it was bad for her health... "But still want to have them." |

Ready for her last year..? Eh. Derry shrugged a little and tapped her toes together absentmindedly. "I dunno actually..." she said, thinking a bit. "Like... sure, I'm graduating, but... life starts, y'know?" Not that she had any kind of plans or anything... not after the muggle exam result she'd got this summer. She might have to go back to muggle school for a bit. Eh. "What about you, excited for third year? Cooler than all the first and second years, yeah?" |
Quote:
"You make it sound like I'm a huge daredevil," she mused at him. It was true that she had a bigger sweet tooth than most people she knew. But she intended to be eighty years old one day, still with a whole shelf full of candy to eat. "The way I see it is that if something like a sugar quill or a licorice wand or a fudge fly can make you happy, then it's not really bad for you in the end." Provided you didn't eat them all the time and had good teeth-brushing skills. Of course. |

Separated from Caleb now the now third year Slytherin found his way into the front cars. He liked the idea of arriving at their destination before everyone else in the other cars even if it was only by a fractional amount. This was probably due to the fact that he was exceptionally petty. Cutty found a spot near a window, good for lighting and peering opportunities, and took a seat. For reasons known only to himself, Cutty put on a pair of fake spectacles and took out his copy of 'The Lonely Potioneer's Diary' by Augustus Stubbins and began to read from a bookmarked page. |

I was in a muggle school.. my parents thought that I was not a witch until a six years.. I was angry with a my classmate who was teasing me and without lifting a finger I sent against him all the colored chalks and a blackboard eraser .. then a old wizard has came to clear the memory of all my classmates... it was a shock for me!.. |

Angel wasn't paying attention to where she was sitting and instead of sitting next to the boy she had been aiming for she accidently sat on his lap, she didn't really want to move now that she had sat down, surely the boy wouldn't mind her staying there, it had been an accident after all. |

"Yeah, that's scary," Caleb admitted, hoping he wasn't freaking her out or anything. "Any idea what you'll do after school?" he asked. Maybe she had a plan. Maybe she'd go play Quidditch or something? "And please, I was cooler than them in my FIRST year," he joked with a cheeky grin. Well, half joked. |
posties for Dani & anyone if they'd like! The twelve year old Ravenclaw, whose name we have come to learn as Josette, quickly settled into one of the compartments in the front of the quickly moving train. In her tiny hands was a little kitten, a kitten that she'd just bought a few weeks ago for her birthday. He was so tiny & so fluffy! She actually could hardly still believe that her father allowed her to buy him for her twelfth birthday. He figured it'd alright to allow her something to keep her company while she was at school. Now, as exciting as it was for her to have a kitten; whom she'd named Sebastian, she did have to admit it was a bit of an adjustment for her taking care of another living thing. Not only that, she was still trying to figure out the strange things he did. For example like right now, why he was always managed to somehow end up on her head. She didn't know why, but whenever she'd hold him the tiny thing would wriggle out of her grasp and would begin climbing up her shoulder only to hop up onto her head and lay there. Seeing as to how she'd never understand him, nor deny this cute action, she allowed him to stay on his perch. She whispered, "W-Would you like a treat Bastian?" Taking a moment to reach into her bag, she'd taken out a treat for her temporary hat. But it was when she'd done this did she softly mutter, "Oh no.." She couldn't exactly see where the little critter's mouth was to feed him the treat, how was she going to do this? Josie bit her lip before slowly lifting her hand up with the treat and slowly began moving it towards Sebastian. ...Was she getting close? |
:3 After stocking up on sweets and retrieving Zeus from his carrier, Maddison headed for the front of the train to find an empty compartment. The back had been quite crowded what with older students looking for snogging space and younger ones plotting pranks or whatever. Since the small brunette had no one to plot with or snog (ew), she was hoping the front would offer a bit more privacy. The small kneazle bounded along behind her as Maddie weighed her options, noting that maybe getting a compartment to herself had been a silly thing to want as the train was crowded. But then again...Maddison had always be the lucky sort. And luck seemed to be on her side today. The eleven year old was just about to turn around when Zeus skidded to a halt, meowing at her to acknowledge him. "Z, now is not the tim-" Oh. OH! An empty compartment! Grinning, the small first year scooped up her pet and nuzzled into his fur. "You're brilliant, Zeus. Well done." Smart like his mum, that was for sure. Looking up and down the corridor to make sure no one had seen that little display of affection, Maddie slipped into the compartment with her furry companion and made herself comfortable. This was much better. |
Talikins! :3 To be honest, there were only two reasons why Grayson was at this end of the train: a) food b) The boy did want to know what kind of people he was going to be going to school with without the whole getting to know them nonsense. The pockets of his hoodie were bulging with sweets but he didn't pay attention to them. Instead, the fourteen year old started peeking into compartments as he slowly made his way down the corridor. Uh huh. Just looking to see if the compartments were empty. Nothing to see here. When he did reach one that was near the end of the Front Cars, Grayson slipped inside and flopped down on the seats. Pretty convenient how this was towards the end of the Front Cars. And a mere coincidence, too. He lay back on his seat and propped his feet up on the seat next to him, his right ankle settling on his left knee. His right foot started jangling along to a tune that was stuck in his head and, before long, he found himself humming along very quietly too. This was the life, wasn't it? Peace. And quiet. And no unwanted people, thank you. |

As for what she was carrying, it was only her Kneazle, Nibbles, who was squirming and trying to escape her arms. She shifted her cat's position to something more comfortable for Nibbles and Marigold. She looked at the scratch over the flower she drew on her arm. Shame. Oh, and empty compartment! She only saw it out of the corner of her eye, but she lunged and slid the door open. She skipped in and shut the door in front of her. She sighed in relief, then turned around. OH! "Sorry, I didn't see you!" For there was someone already in the compartment. But before she could leave, Nibbles had jumped out of her arms and landed on the seat. She winced. |
SPOILER!!: Josette! You stop off at the food trolley for a little bit and your kneazle goes missing. It was perhaps the story of the Gryffindor's life. Felix must have slipped out when someone else had opened the door to leave because when she'd gotten back to the Prefect Compartment he was gone. Next time, she'd just take him with her. Leaving him behind was hardly worth the walking she was doing now. Lex went down the line of cars by the front of the train, peering into a few while entering others. He had to be around here somewhere. They were on a moving train and her baby wasn't stupid. He'd never survive a drop and roll, nor would he try to. Lex threw open a door and spotted that little Ravenclaw who played...Beater, was it? Just last term. "You wouldn't happen to have seen a kneazle, would you?" The general look around told her he wasn't in here but maybe the girl had run into him at some point? |

Brown eyes looked up from Zeus and landed first on another small animal and then on its owner. "I gathered as much," She said in a matter-of-fact tone. If this girl had seen the first year, surely she wouldn't look as uncomfortable as she did right now. "Is that a boy or a girl?" Maddison's attention had shifted back to the stranger's pet now, noting that Zeus seemed quite interested in the new arrivals too. The kneazle had leapt down from his place on her lap and inched towards the other feline, ears forward. "Zeus is an alpha so if it is a boy, they might not get on." |

A wide smirk formed on Abigail Cambell's face as she walked about the corridors spotting a very familiar face. It was that boy from the Leaky, what was his name again? Graton...ot what? Heh. She didn't really care, he was so rude anyways but what did his rudeness earn him. DUN...DUN....KARMA. MHHHHM. Looking as casual and innocent as she could, Abbi began following him whilst pretending to look for a compartment of her own. Meanwhile she already had a compartment and with all her things put down inside it, she was just out and about for a walk break and WHY not have some fun HUH? Giggle Snort. In ze thoughts because that be suspicious to the people around. Ohhh compartment for your own, hmmmmm person? NOT TODAY! "Good Morning BALTIMORE!" She entered the compartment dramatically and wore a smile ever as wide as her face could handle. |

Oh. Talking about Nibbles. "She's a girl." So no fighting. Plus, Nibbles looked happy. She was preening and stuffs. OOOH, cat flirting. How adorable. |
