Fleeing the kitchen Peeves flew up a few floors when he heard something dreadful.

"WHO IS MAKING THAT AWFUL NOISE?"

Making a face he round the corner and stopped in a halt. Grinning wickedly at what he was seeing he eyed both the first years.

"WELL WELL WELL WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE? ICKLES FLOODING THE CORRIDOR. ICKLES FLOODING THE CORRIDOR. PROFESSORS BETTER COME QUICK!"

He shouted in the most sing song voice he could. Flying around the grinning he grabbed ones robes and pulled it up over her head.

"PEEVES HAS CAUGHT THEM. ICKLES TRYING TO TRICK PROFESSORS LOOKING A LIKE AND FLOODING THE CORRIDOR."

What fun this was!

As Penelope walked down the corridor, she noticed a large puddle forming. Someone must have messed up on an aguamenti charm. [B]"Do you need help? Should I get a professor or someone?"[B] Penelope asked.

Now Peeves was here, pulling someone's robes over their head. Of course, Peeves had to show up and make things worse.

Angel had just turned up and was trying to figure out what was going on when suddenly she felt her robes being pulled up over her head.

It has suddenly gone dark, why had it gone dark, she was just trying to help her sister out and now the sun had gone down and it was dark, this just wasn't right and she didn't like it. "Hey were the sunshine go?" Angel screamed trying to figure out what was going on and who was this Peeves that was screaming for a Professor.

Nessa was just heading out of the library when she was sure she heard shouts nearby. Someone needed a professor? She was a professor now, hehe. She could help maybe. She glanced up the stairs then hurried that way.

Once she was on the fifth floor, the brunette glanced around first spotting the cutest looking first years! Then a ginormous puddle of water.. and.. Peeves? Was that really Peeves? Oh she hadn't seen him in ages! She laughed a little and clapped her hands together.

"Hello, students!" she called out cheerfully, giving them a wave as she headed over. "Hiii, Peeves," she said in a sing-song voice, grinning at him. "Do you put all this water here?" she asked, putting her hands on her hips. He was always such a practical joker! Even if he played some mean ones on her back in the day! Chuckling, she reached over to the one girl and pulled her robes down from over her head.

"Has nothing to do with performing," Not at all. Just need to stop caring what other people might say about you behind your back. Which was why Jun didn't have too many friends. His mum always told him he was very outspoken and told people off when they looked at him weird. Well, not his fault they had staring problems. "Right, whatever," Pfft. Flattery. Jun just let the prefect say whatever he wanted.

Grinning, Jun shook Lou's hand and nodded. "Okay. We'll meet close to midnight, few yards away from the groundskeeper hut. Whoever gets there first, has to make a dim lit arrow at the bottom of a tree and walk twenty steps forward," Simple enough, right? Midnight. Behind the groundskeeper hut. Walk twenty steps in the direction the arrow is pointing to. See, simple. "Just don't go blurting it out to people, Bolton,"

The first year turned at the sound of a voice. OF COURSE somebody would come down the deserted hall when she needed to make a quick getaway. That was so her luck. Trying to think of a quick story she turned around and relief flooded over her. "Thank goodness it's you." She had never been so happy to see her sister before.

Whew, it looked like she was still being supportive of her so she wouldn't have to waste time arguing. "Um, well. I was just walking along and before I knew it this happened." She pointed to the huge mess before her.

Jumping at the sound of shouting, AJ was completely caught of guard. She knew that there were ghosts at Hogwarts having met the Gryffindor one, but this one seemed to be a troublemaker. If the mess wasn't her fault she would be in awe of the transparent tattletale. "SHHHH!" Why did he have to scream and who was he calling?

The professors, of course it would have to be the professors. "Why would you go and do that?" AJ was no snitch and living or dead she didn't like that the ghost was so willing to turn her in. "We didn't flood anything." A story was formulating in her head and she needed all of the details before a professor arrived.



Somebody else. Now there was somebody else to add to the mix. She looked over to the girl and gave her a small smile. "No thanks. I think we are okay." As in she didn't need any more witnesses and she was sure that a professor would be here any second considering that the ghost was yelling.

It was then that she realized that her sister had her robes over her head. "Hey! Cut that out." She wished that she had something to throw at the nuisance, but it would most likely just go through him and waste her energy.

She was just about to tell him exactly what she thought of him when an adult arrived. Gulp. It was time to get her facts straight.


This professor seemed nice and she was already going in the direction of her story so this was good, this was really good. "Hi professor." This was one that she had never met before, but this was a good of a time as any right?

"He did professor. I think he is trying to frame us." It seemed like this ghost had a bad track record with jokes and she was an ickle firstie so maybe she could get away with this after all. She looked at her sister and gave her a look that clearly said that she had better go along with her story.

Angel smiled at her sister. "Well never mind." Angel was sure her sister could come up with a decent story and would be able to get away with it but well she was still trying to figure out why the sun had gone away and it was scaring her when suddenly she saw Sunlight again.

"I'm FR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Angel started then stopped as she realised a Professor was there and then Aubrey was trying to tell her to say that Peeves did this but well Angel couldn't tell lies that was against the rules and well her sister knew she had a hard time lying but then she didn't want her sister to get into trouble. "Professor that, transparent dude, well he put my robes over my head." Angel wasn't saying anything about the water at all, she'd pretend she hadn't seen it.

Oooooh there was now another ickle (griffin)
wanting to join in. Peeves Cackles as he rounded on her.

"You saw them didn't you? You saw them flooding the corridor and now trying to trick by looking alike." Though his cackling and grin seemed to say that he really wasn't trying to use her to tattle. Swooping down he knocked books into the puddle that had formed.

Seeing a Professor Peeves just cackled more especially when said professor seemed to be excited to see him.

"Peeves wouldn't waste time making puddles on the floor no he would not. YOOOOU had an wetting accident and now are trying to blame. ICKLE HAD AN ACCIDENT, ICKLE HAD AN ACCIDENT."

Zooming into the loo Peeves sipped back out with a waste basket dumping it on the Professor an Ickle heads and then dropped the basket with a clatter before cackling away from the scene.

Okay so, Angel wasn't exactly backing her story, but she wasn't denying it either so the first year could work with that. AJ definitely knew that Angel was very by the books with everything so she threw her an appreciative smile.

Angel just had to keep her cool and manage to keep the guilty look off of her face. Either way it was an accident, but seeing a perfect opportunity to blame it on the ghost, AJ was going to take it. He didn't really need much help in making himself look guilty especially after the robe incident. "You tell em Angel." Stand up for yourself.

"There's no way she saw anything other than you doing the whole robe thing." Angel had came upon her first and she was pretty sure that nobody else had been there, of course there was always a possibility that she missed someone as she hummed along the corridor.


Instead of being mad like most people would probably be, she started laughing. "Hahahaha.... that's a good one." They could join forces you know.

Then the waste basket incident happened. "Rude!" Who knew what was in there. She wasn't really offended though. AJ loved a good prank and this ghost seemed like a good time. He had left though. Now she was just stuck here with two other girls and the professor. She only hoped that she could get out of this one.

Aww, were the girls twins? How cute! Nessa could tell now that she had pulled the one's robes back down, how much the two girls looked alike. She looked back and forth between the two of them as they tried to explain what was going on.. but something wasn't adding up. She raised an eyebrow at Peeves as he shouted something about the first years flooding the corridors. Hmm.. she wondered.. Not that she believed anyone had an accident and she did think Peeves was all in good fun, but she would not be lied to or taken advantage of. The thought of that brought her mood down a bit.

Especially when a rubbish bin was dumped on their heads. Eww. She frowned a little as she shook off a few used tissues, then looked around for the trouble-making poltergeist. "Alright, that's enough, Peeves," she said, pulling out her wand and aiming a hot-air blast towards his retreating figure. He seemed to be out of sight anyway, so Professor Glendower turned back to the girls. "Now, I want someone to tell me what exactly happened." If nothing else, this still needed cleaned up.

Umm, so she wasn't going to believe that Peeves caused the whole thing? Fine. She figured it was too good to be true, and decided that it was most likely best to tell the truth. AJ liked to prank and have fun, but she wasn't a liar. The truth had worked really well on professor Airey so she decided to give it a go once more.

"Hi professor. I'm Aubrey Valentine and this is my sister Angel." The was the first time that she had remembered to give out proper introductions. "I was walking along with my wand and somehow or another water started shooting out it if." She took a deep breath. "I don't even know what caused it to start other than I was talking while twiddling the wand. I couldn't even manage to fill my cauldron in Potions so I don't know how I created this," she said gesturing to the huge mess in front of her. "It finally managed to stop and that was when Peeves and my sister showed up." Sad, puppy dog face on? Check! That was the truth and she didn't want her sister going down with her.

"EEWWWWWWWWW!" Angel seriously didn't like this transparent person much. "Professor take points off him." Seriously that would teach him not to mess with her. "Take like a million gazillion points of the transparent dude." Seriously did they get house points? She hoped so because if he lost that many maybe he would stop being so mean. "I don't know what happened Professor, I arrived to find the place in this mess." Seriously Angel didn't know anything, she listened to what Aubrey had to say and then looked at the Professor.

Nessa first turned her brown eyes on the first girl to speak. She wasn't surprised to hear that they were sisters and she was near certain that they were twins. They looked pretty much identical. She listened carefully to the first girl's rendition of events, then looked over at her sister as she went on about Peeves. Nessa couldn't help but to chuckle a bit.

"It's very nice to meet you, Aubrey and Angel," Nessa said with a warm smile. She could tell they were first years and it seemed like their beginning grasp of magic might have gotten away from them. "I'm Professor Glendower, I teach History of Magic." She glanced over at the still flooded floor. "Well, first, we should clean up this mess. We wouldn't want anyone to get hurt. Try along with me," she encouraged before she pointed her wand at the water. She fully expected the girls to try this spell as well. Practice makes perfect! "Tergeo!" The water began suctioning fro the floor into her wand. Your turn, girls!

She beamed at the other girl expressing outrage over the poltergeist. "I'm afraid Peeves doesn't belong to any house, so taking points won't do him any good." If only it were that simple, but it was a rather amusing thought. "But if you come across him again and he bothers you too much, try blasting him with hot air like this." Nessa pointed her wand straight up in the air and waved it in two little circles while commanding, "Siccus Aerous!" He could be fun but sometimes he got out of hand and just didn't know when to quit. That spell might prove helpful to the young girls. And as long as they were cleaning their mess, no real harm done here.

"It's nice to meet you too professor. I can't wait for your first lesson." Yes, she was laying the charm on thick because Professor Glendower was officially her new favorite. It was proving true more and more times that honesty got her out of sticky situations.

She was going to get more wand practice? Cool. She could use all of the help she could get, and this was something that she had never tried before. AJ cleared her throat for good measure. "Tergeo!" she said mimicking everything that the professor did. "UGH!" It was not working! Why did she always have trouble with every single spell that she tried. "Tergeo!" To her amazement it was working. "I did it." She was beaming from ear to ear. "It's really cool Angel, try it." AJ didn't want to be the only one having all the fun.

Wait! Was she not only giving them permission to blow hot air at the ghost, but also showing them exactly how to achieve it? "You're so cool professor." Not wanting to waste another minute not knowing how to use the next spell, she got right on it. "Siccus Aerous!" Maybe because she wanted it to work so bad, she had results on the first go. "Wicked!!! Thanks for showing me that." Now she needed to hunt down Peeves so she could give it a go.

Angel smiled at the professor "Hi Professor Glendower." Angel beamed as she thought about what the Professor was saying, but she hadn't made the mess at all but then she was learning spells and she liked that.

"Tergeo" Angel beamed as she took out her magic stick and concentrated really hard. "I did it, I did it." Angel beamed as her spell worked really well, she just wished she was this good in potions.

""Siccus Aerous!" Angel was going to remember this spell she really thought that it looked cool and amazing. "I'll remember that Professsor." Angel really liked this professor.

Nessa beamed at the sisters. They were so sweet and adorable. And look at how cooperative and enthusiastic they were being about helping to clean up and learn some new spells! They were doing such a great job. "Well done, girls!" she exclaimed with a grin once they had both gotten the spells to work and were well on their way to getting the corridor cleaned up. She pointed her wand and performed a few more Tergeos herself to help them clean up, clapping a bit as they finished up and the corridor was as good as new.

She watched for a few moments, nodding approvingly, as the girls then practiced the next spell. It seemed like they had gotten a grasp on that one fairly quickly and she clapped for them again, still beaming widely. Hopefully it would help them out if they came across Peeves again and he caused too much trouble. Aww, weren't they just the best? "Well, I think you two are the coolest first years I've met all day," she responded in kind. "I do hope to see you both in class." Oh she couldn't wait for that! And speaking of, she did have some prep work to do. "You're both quite welcome.. and remember, practice makes perfect." They should practice more if they really wanted to master those spells though they really had a good start with them already.

"Let me know if you have any more trouble," she called with a wave as she headed down the corridor. Now.. where had she been headed when she came this way?

Yup, those spells were working for her and she couldn't be more proud of herself. Thanks professor." AJ beamed as she went over how well she was doing. The crabby patty Transfiguration teacher could take lessons from her. The professor was even helping them so they wouldn't be here all day, and AJ was appreciate of that.

They were the coolest first years? Well, AJ couldn't argue with that could she? "We will be there." She couldn't just miss class could she? Even if she could it wouldn't be this professor's class... maybe Bellaire's though. She shuddered just thinking about the lady.

"Will do professor." AJ would just leave out the whole hunting down Peeves thing just to try out the new spell though. She grabbed her sisters arm. "Let's get out of here." She watched as the professor went on about her day. "Bye professor." she called after her.

Kace decided to meet up with Goldilocks to work on the Potions homework. He picked the fifth floor corridor since it seemed less crowded. He brought his backpack with him with the potion vial. He needed it do the assignment. As he walked across the corridor, he found a nice place to sit. He sat down on one of the benches and waited for her. He got out his notebook and started to doodle in the mean time.

Marigold grinned as she spotted Kace where they decided to meet up for some homework time. She ran up to him, then wrapped her arms around him in a hug. She let go after only a second to bring a vial of her potion from class out, then handed it to him. She bounced a bit on her toes. "So we'll just drink each other's potion to start off?" she said, excited to be with FRIEND doing homework. Heh.

Kace gasped when he felt a huge hug from behind him. Oh it was Marigold, he should have known. He known her hugs pretty well now. "Hey Gold." he smirked and winked. "Trying to use a new nickname for ya!" he told her truthfully. "Do you like it?" he asked for her approval.

But onto the task at hand. "Oh yes! We will drink each other's potions." he nodded and reached into his bag for his vial. He handed it to her. He took hers in return. "Bottoms up.." he said dipping the vial into his mouth drinking her potion.

Marigold grinned at her friend and wiggled her shoulders at him. "Hey… Kace. I don't have a nickname for you. SORRY. But Gold is what Gray calls me." They had color names, woot woot. But back to homework. She took the offered potion and lifted it cautiously to her lips. Not that she didn't trust Kace, it was the actual potion's effects she was worried about. Guilt. She felt like she had a lot of that. Well, at least she was with someone she felt comfortable spilling stuff too.

She raised the bottom of the vial up and the potion spilled into her mouth. Strange, it almost tasted… better than she had expected. She expected it to taste like … death almost. But it didn't. It almost tasted sweet because of her low expectations. She looked back up at Kace, then blinked to remove the sudden water from her eyes. She wasn't going to cry from guilt… or was she?

"Awww it is fine!" he waved her off. "You will come up with one soon I am sure of it." he assured his friend. Now onto the task at hand. When he dipped the potion into his mouth, he realized it didn't taste bad as he thought it would. He thought it was gonna taste foul, but nawww it was tameable. Now he felt a huge wave of guilt. He started to feel depressed and didn't feel like doing anything. He felt like he did something wrong. He looked at Marigold and noticed there were tears in her eyes. He gave her a quizzical look.

Now he was feeling guilty. Did he make her cry? "Did I make you cry?" he asked her pointing at her eyes.

Marigold was feeling really really really guilty. She looked at Kace with tears in her eyes and immediately went on a long tirade about how awful she was at helping people. "My two grandpas died in the last two years and I wasn't there for either of them I helped organize the funerals but I could have helped more my mum needs my support but I'm here at school and I can help my friend out by telling her parents she doesn't actually want to be a model I am not a good student people don't like me even though I want to like everyone HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DEAL WITH ALL THIS!" A part of her knew it was because of the potion… but she had to admit, she needed to say all of this anyway.

Kace stood there dumbfounded. He didn't expect Marigold to be this open about her problems. Well at least he now knew what was eating her up inside. He shook his head of shocked and nodded. It was all he could do. He really had no answer. Then his guilty feelings came up and he said, "I feel guilty about not being there for my older sister Belle. She is out in the real world and I am powerless to help. I don't want her moving out. I just wish it was like old times we would just run through the fields without a care in the world. I don't want her growing up. I want it like the old times..." he said tearing up.

He looked away from Marigold, that was something buried deep inside him. He didn't like showing his emotions too much.

Hmmm....

The world around her, or at least this corridor, whisked past her backwards. Her long hair flew out in front of her and she held tight to her wand and high tops. The quiet sound of rolling wheels reached her ears as Hope Evans roller bladed down the corridor backwards. How much trouble could she get into while rollerblading inside the castle? She couldn't get out to do anything so...

ANYWAY!

She turned herself forward in one swift movement and watched as she came closer to the steps. With ease, she slowed down until she came to a complete stop at the top and sighed. For the past couple of floors she would change and put her regular shoes on, but really it was becoming such a hassle and she was tired of having to re-lace both the shoes and skates.

With another sigh she pushed herself backwards once more. Why keep going down? Why not just remain on this floor? After all, she was disturbing no one and having a small amount of fun. Speaking of no one, where was everyone? Where were all her friends?
