Entrance Hall Welcome to Hogwarts! All guests and residents enter and leave the castle through Hogwarts' two great oak front doors. Once inside the Hall, you'll notice newly cleaned marble floors, a majestic central staircase, large, iridescent arched windows, and numerous doors and staircases leading off from the hall. |
This is for Toby the most Hufflepuffian Puffy. Zahra was still stuck between laughing hysterically and maybe crying a little as she made her way into the castle from her Creatures Lesson. Just a little though, when she wasn't laughing that a GNOME bit her BELLY. She looked to the Puff at her side, cracked up again, and put both hands over her wound. OWWWWWW, man. "At least I didn't LOSE any house points." BRIGHT SIDE. ....hahahahahaowowowowowowowow! |
Quote:
"That's true," he replied. his voice echoing around the vast Entrance Hall as they crossed it. "I suppose a few war wounds is nothing compared to losing points, huh?" If he had noticed the maybe-crying at all, Toby had the grace to pretend that he hadn't. He was super nice like that. "Never had you down as the type to try and rescue a garden gnome, I have to say." |
Quote:
Zahra was hiccupping now, between her laugh!cries. IT WAS JUST ALL SO FUNNY HAHAHA. What a story this would be. DEAR DAD, TODAY A GNOME ATE MY BELLY BUTTON OFF. She put a hand on the Puff to make him stop for a second. Stop. Hold up. Hold on. ...she lifted up the edge of her shirt to see the damage. "I wasn't saving the gnome. I was afraid I'd get detention for killing it," Zahra admitted, totally sincere. That's exactly what she was doing. |
Quote:
"You were afraid?" he teased, grinning at her, and hopefully taking her mind off of any pain with this gentle ribbing. "I thought Gryffindors weren't afraid of anything, and aren't you, like, the alpha Gryffindor?" She didn't need to answer that. Toby knew. Everyone knew. Zahra could give Alexa Cambridge a run for her money. Even though he had tried to tease, Toby was still way too Hufflepuff to keep it up and cover his concern. "Does it hurt a whole bunch?" he asked Zahra, unable to keep from sounding concerned. The Hufflepuff was strong with this one. |
Quote:
"You know what I mean," not like AFRAID afraid. Zahra gave Toby's arm a little punch, meaning DONT MENTION THE FEAR THING AGAIN. But then he turned that Alpha Gryffindor on her and she ended up looping her arm around his neck. TOTAL BUDDY HUG happening. "Nawwwww. You wanna see it?" No, it DID hurt. Gnome teeth were no joke apparently. But Zahra Kettleburn WAS ALPHA GRYFFINDOR. "Like, if you gotta bandage, we can probably call this whole infirmary trip off and go catch a pastry in the kitchen instead." |
Mo leaned casually against the railing right out side the Great Hall, doing his very best to look as if he was just waiting for an eating companion. Which he was, essentially. Waiting for a companion. Mo twitched once, rather violently, as if he was far colder than he should be, considering the warm castle corridors and the layers of clothing he was wearing. Now then... where was Nigel? |
Quote:
There was his 'eating companion' "Ready?" Just act casual. |
Quote:
As Mo hoped to be soon. "I'm going to Disillusion us both, and then we need to wait until someone opens the doors so we can fly right in. You see anyone coming?" Mo glanced down the stairs and toward the door before deciding the path was clear. He tapped the top of Nigel's head once with the wand before turning the spell on himself. |
After the whole situation with the centaurs, Dylan trudged through the snowy grounds of Hogwarts with Emmy back to the castle. It was getting awfully cold out and he was pretty sure he couldn't take being out there anymore, as curious as he was about the centaurs. He really just had to know what was going on...and if they were going to be alright. He was truly worried. "I know you wanted to stick around...but we probably had to leave for a good reason or something," he said, pushing the doors open. He held them open for Emmy and walked in after her. "Although, I'm curious about what brought all those centaurs out of the forest?" he wondered aloud as the doors shut behind them. |

The third year wasn't one to get angry but she was angry right now. She didn't like the tone in the headmistresses voice. It just made her think that to her all the students are below her and must do her bidding. Why couldn't the heads of schools be kinder, like Professor Morgan. Emmylou just loved the Divinations professor, she was so nice and she liked how the professor was so happy to be here at the school. Emmylou managed to walk her butt back up to the castle even thought she would rather be socializing in the freezing cold with the centaurs that were there. |

"Yeah, you're right," he replied, taking a seat on the bottom of the stairs. He then chuckled at what she next said. "Well, yeah that would be a waste. And you'd probably get detention or something, or lost house points...and no problem." he gave a small nod. Or both detention and point losses. Point was, it was a good thing they hadn't thrown any candy at the headmistress. Heh. He then shrugged at her idea. "I dunno, but I'm kinda worried for them. The headmistress did look pretty concerned, and they ought to tell us later if something serious is happening." he said slowly, looking up at the girl thoughtfully. |
Dobby is a free post! Any charries who'd like sweets! <3 He picked a spot he thought of as ideal. He had the goods with him. Concealed by a well-placed charm upon his bag, out of which he was currently producing what looked a bit like a colourful translucent rubber snake. A gummy candy with many different flavours indicated by a colour-change as you ate your way up the snake-mold body. An import amongst many which included but was not limited to nougat and pistachio squares, and two types of chocolates; pyramids and little casted sphinxes. He had also gotten lucky that year and amongst Cutty's treasures to peddle were muggle sweets like malteasers and well known British and American brand chocolate bars. The young snake would've liked to have taken up a position in the courtyard by this time of year (ideally), but as the weather outside remained ever the angry fist-shaker, Cutty Mordaunt abandoned that idea in favour of the other high-traffic area; the Entrance Hall. "Sweeets! Foreign, domestics, muggle and magical." Like a funhouse barker, he advertised his wares. Though, it wasn't the only way he'd let the public know. |

assuming this is later than greenhouses so kyroh knows simon XD Kyroh figured that he had to study more. It wasn't that he didn't know stuff and didn't study at all. He just studied the stuff he didn't know AT ALL like certain charms, and ignored everything else that he knew a little bit of. Like History of Magic! That textbook hadn't been touched since he had bought it in dragon alley. He just didn't see the point of it! But everyone around him seemed to be studying, and studying everything. And for long periods of time. Sigh. So that meant he had to study more right? Hopping down the steps of stairs two at a time, the Ravenclaw was trying to find a quiet place to study that wasn't the library. He was about to turn the corner when a loud voice caught his attention. Sweets? You needed sweets to study, yeah! Turning his head he noticed two Slytherin boys at a corner. Simon! And....that other boy who helped him learn the spell with the rocks. Without a second thought the first year took off, stopping JUST in front of both them. "HI SIMON! HI OTHER GUY!" A large smile broke out on his face. "I like sweets!" |

Emmylou looked around the hall and then turned her attention back on Dylan. She ate a jellybean here and there and smiled. Though she wasn't one to get angry or ticked off but the way the Headmistress spoke to them made her a tiny bit mad. She knew that there wasn't a reason for the headmistress to speak to them that way. Asking people to do things nicely will make kids her age actually do things and get them done. |

However, Kyroh had stopped just right before them. Ah, good, good. Cutty and Simon hadn't been run over by a first year cause that would have been embarrassing |
Cutty, Kyroh, and Simon. We're here! :3 He needed to shake of this…feeling. This really…heavy feeling. He can’t possibly be sad during day time! He promised himself to be the happy guy, then wallow all the sads in the evening when everyone’s practically snoring! Merlin, Ethan was getting worse. He was rather groggy every morning, because of the lack sleep. Holy Fawkes. He really needs to stop thinking about…things, or else his eyeballs would fall off its sockets. After taking a long walk up, he decided to head for the Great Hall to eat something. You know, to get distracted with…the thing going on in his head. He however…saw Cutty. And…what was he yapping about? He didn’t realize that Simon and Kyroh were there too. Ethan forced a grin and waved to the boys. Well, that’s all he could do now. A wave. Hi. |

There was the little guy who helped build the fire pit. What was his name again? Scabz? Scaaabs. Nevermind, the boy had just uttered music to Cutty's ears. He liked sweets. "Do yer? What kind is your favourite?" He asked the lil Claw boy, getting right into it. "'Ey, Ethan Mordaunt. Want to buy some sweets?", The Mordaunt cousin apparently wasted no time. |
SPOILER!!: Cousin Cutty Ethan shrugged. Hey, maybe something sweet will make him feel better, yeah? The third year eyed the muggle candy Maltesers, but then he also saw the other…foreign ones. The pyramid reminded him of the candy Mordred gave him when he was still wee. Merlin, that did frighten him, but it was really delicious. “Pyramid? I s’pose that’s from Egypt?” he asked as he pointed at it. “How much for the Maltesers?” Really…he missed that packet of awesomeness. When was the last time he had one anyway? No, no. He doesn’t want to be reminded. But yes, moving on. Introduce us to your goods, Cousin Cutty. |
Quote:
"They are from Egypt." He forgot he hadn't told Ethan about his summers. "I get 'em when I go see my grandmother in the summeh." There. Now Ethan knew he was half-Egyptian. Or maybe he wouldn't guess? Nah, Ethan was pretty smart. He'd figure it out if he wanted to. Not that it was a dire matter, it only really affected them if they were trying to hang out over the holiday. "The Malteasers are going for 9 sickles, 27 per packet. I didn't know you liked muggle sweets, Mordaunt." It stopped feeling weird after a while for Cutty to address someone by his own surname. Cutty paused for a moment considering the gum-hating man from the platform. The one and same he and Simon saw at Hogsmeade whilst looking for Ethan. "Isn't Mordaunt, I mean the British branch, a pureblood name?" |
Quote:
Yup. Moving on. Ethan got a handful of wizarding coins from his pocket, and gave Cutty the right amount, and got himself a packet. “Yep. It’s my favourite actually.” He said as he opened the pack and popped two pieces inside his mouth. Nomnomnom. And…why is Cutty asking about his family? Err…he just had that conversation with…oh never mind. “It is, yeah.” Chew. Chew. Chew. “Why’d you ask?” Swallow. “Aren’t you a pureblood?” Because…he’s a Mordaunt too, just in case he forgot. |
Cosgrach conjured a very uncomfortable looking stool and sat down on it as if it was a well cushioned throne. He was sitting at a strategical point too: he could see all the stairs and the Great Hall. There was no way he'd miss Lux! Bringing out a vial of potion, he idly played with it while he waited for the girl. |
Quote:
Walking over to him, she smiled and said, "hello, Professor. How are you today?" Wanting to ask him why he had chosen such an uncomfortable seat, she decided to remain silent. Maybe he liked being uncomfortable and she didn't want to come off as rude. And was that a potion in his hand? |
Quote:
"I'm fine, thank you Lux, and you?" Better to learn how she was before getting to business. |
