Divination Lesson 2, In the kitchen Just as the fortune cookies said on the notice board, the kitchen is where the next Divination class was being held. With the Divination Tower so cold Professor Cassie wanted a warmer place and possibly a happy and fun lesson to bring some warmth to the students. Setting on a tray right at the door, Cassie had the house elves make enough hot chocolate for all the students. The house elves that had agreed to help during this lesson, since Professor Cassie knows nothing about ovens, cooking, or baking, are busy getting everything ready. As you enter the kitchen you will find that there are chairs around the tables for a work space. You will also find a familiar snap cup sitting near where Professor Cassie is standing. Remember what to do? If not there is a parchment with the instructions just like last time. Quote:

It was time for another divination lesson! And today they were in the Kitchen so it would be warm and maybe there would be some food too? Simon crossed his fingers as he headed into the Kitchen. When he walked through, he noticed that there was some hot chocolate. His blue eyes widened. Mmmm.. That smelt good. Before getting some of the hot chocolate, he pulled out a piece of parchment, a pen, and began writing one thing that he was proud of. He smiled. SPOILER!!: After writing down what he was proud of, he walked up to the cup, dropped the slither or parchment in the cup, and then greeted Professor Morgan. "Hello Professor! How are you? Thanks for the hot chocolate," said Simon with a wide grin as he picked up a cup of hot chocolate. He took a sip and felt warmer already. MMmm... |
Adi trudged towards the Kitchen wondering if there will be cookies again for the Divination lesson. He noticed something by the door. Not cookies but mugs of hot chocolate. Awesome! He grabbed a cup, noticing Professor Morgan. "Hallo, Professor. Thanks for the hot chocolate.'' Adi noticed that familiar cup. Were they supposed to write what they were proud of? He eyed the board. Yep, there was the confirmation written on it. Adi headed towards on of the tables, waving to Simon as he did so. There, he sat, got a piece of parchment and wrote: SPOILER!!: Proud Moment Okay, so maybe he had complained but he hadn't done it that much. Hehe. Adi dropped his parchment in the cup and headed back to his seat, now sipping on the hot chocolate as he waited for the lesson to get started. |
Argyle was most pleased to be helping out the Professor and studentses in their lesson today, yes she was. Cooking was almost as fun as fun as cleaning floors. The little elf bustled around the kitchen getting everything prepared and all in order. When the studentses started arriving, Argyle made extra sure the workstations they sat at were all clean and sparkling. Argyle fussed around them happily, pleased to be of assistance. |
Jasmine arrived at the kitchens for Divination class and was glad for the warmth that greeted her. Coming to Divination made her sad though........for reasons, none of which really had anything to do with the class per se. Seeing hot chocolate, Jasmine grabbed a cup and headed over to an empty seat. Seeing the Professor, Jasmine said, "Hello Professor Cassie". Hopefully some of her positive energy and perkiness would rub off on Jasmine. Noticing that Adi had already arrived, she gave him a friendly wave. Then she saw it, the Snap cup. They were meant to write something again. Jasmine couldn't think of anything she was particularly proud of today so this would be a challenge. Finally thinking of something worthy, she scribbled it down on the strip of parchment. It was really a stretch, but it was something. SPOILER!!: Jasmine's proud moment Jasmine left her seat and walked up to the Snap Cup. After dropping the parchment in, she returned to her seat. Then she took her notebook out of her bag and took a sip of her hot chocolate. Class should be starting soon. |
hiccup Pips loved all the studenties, but studenties made Pips nervous. He hurried around pulling out bowls and ingredients. He glanced at the nice blonde professor and surely didn't mean to. Hiccuping more he hurried and hit his head off the counter. Avoiding all studenties eyes he hurried around to help make things perfect. hiccup |
Ethan didn't mind attending Divinations because it was being held in the Kitchens. Anything that has something to do with food will surely pique this boy's interest...and curiosity. The blond boy made his way inside the room to see familiar faces. Each and everyone of them got nods and grins. He did see the Snap Cup again, then the professor. "Good day, 'fessor." Ethan offered her a smile, and took a seat. This kitchen sure did bring a certain memory, yeah? Humming to himself he got a parchment and wrote down the following: 'I am proud of my House.' The boy swiftly got up, placed the parchment inside the cup and got a mug of hot chocolate from nearby. "Thanks for this, professor." Ethan made his way back to his table and eyed one of the house elves who seemed to be rattled. The Slytherin figured that Mordred's family house elf was definitely more confident than that one. Ethan winced as he saw the elf bump his head on the counter. "...that's...got to hurt." |
It was so warm in the kitchen, and Lux was in a great mood. Bay was awake again and she had gotten to speak with him earlier that day. He wasn't totally better yet, but it was a huge start. And that Chort that had hurt him would pay for what he did. Yep. "Hello, Professor Cassie!" Beaming at the woman, she made her way towards a seat. On her way she spotted Jasmine, Adi, and Ethan. "Hey, guys!" Awww, and there were house elves. They got big smiles as well. Sitting down, she saw the cup and immediately knew what she was supposed to do. On a piece of parchment, she wrote: Quote:

Divination wasn't one of Sophie's strongest suits, but yet here she was, heading off to another lesson. At least she didn't have so far to walk this time. Class was being held in the kitchens, which wasn't that far away from the dungeons. Entering the classroom, or kitchens rather, Sophie noted where there was hot chocolate waiting for them. AWESOME. She found herself a seat first and then began working on her proud moment for the day: Quote:

Another Divination lesson...and Benny found himself heading there without some of the hesitance he had had the last time. Maybe it was the fact that this class didn't have to do specifically with Valentine's day. Or the change in location that didn't involve heading all the way back up to one of the towers after traveling down from Gryffindor. Or something else entirely. Regardless, the third year lion traveled downstairs to the kitchens like the fortune cookie had mentioned, his satchel of supplies slung absently over his shoulder. When he arrived there were just a few students around, including his best friend. As well as the professor and a couple of house elves. No bother, the kitchens were their home...right? Though still, he wondered as he took a mug of hot chocolate for himself, just what they might be there for during the lesson. "Hello Professor," he greeted the woman, moving to take a seat at the table Adi was at. "Hey," he greeted the Hufflepuff with a light smile. Was it him or had they not been spending that much time together lately despite being cooped up. They needed to remedy that pronto. For now, he had to write something for the cup and Benny picked his brain for an idea of what to put, finally scribbling it on a scrap piece of parchment and dropping it off before returning to his seat. SPOILER!!: parchment |
Ascanius had gotten out of bed. Accomplishment? He thought so. Since he was going to be a famous wrock star (The Dead Kneazles were going to blow up, he just knew it), he had decided to immerse himself in that lifestyle. Yesterday. A relatively new decision. Which basically meant that he was planning on sleeping until noon everyday. Very rock 'n' roll of him, yeah? So when he walked into class and saw that ugly, glittery jar that seemed fit for Glitter Trousers' taste, he scratched out a quick answer and tossed in it. Then found a seat. SPOILER!!: parchment |
Penelope entered the kitchen, smiling and ready for the divination lesson. "Hello Professor Cassie!" She smiled at the professor. Finding a seat at one of the tables, she pulled out a piece of parchment and a purple pen to write down a proud moment. SPOILER!!: proud thing It was much easier for the Ravenclaw to go up to the divination tower than to come all the way down to the kitchen. Those lucky Hufflepuffs. She put her piece of parchment in the snap cup, then returned to her seat. Penelope did not have any hot chocolate. No, she never drank hot chocolate. |
Carrying a big bag of flour nearly as large as he was, Toddles wandered into the part of the kitchen that Missus Cassie was teaching all the studentsies today. He was so excited to be helping out and having some fun with them. Oh and look! There was Pips and Argyle already there hurrying to get everything nice and ready. He peeked at them with his big eyes over the bag of flour. They were moving so fast about the kitchen that they were making Toddles dizzy. But he was trying to be a good little elf like they were, yes he was! As long as he could still have fun too. "Please be excusing Toddles, Missus Cassie." The youngest House Elf moved closer to the blonde lady and managed to tug on her blanket dress as he juggled the bag of flour in his arms. "Where would you like Toddles to put this flour?" Oops, he was starting to lose its balance and a puff of flour cloud came out of the bag as he nearly dropped it. Maybe right here would work! |
Divination being held down in the Kitchens was MUCH better, thank you. It meant that he had less of a distance to walk AND he could sneak in a snack or two if he wanted to. Possibly. Besides, it was more likely to be warmer in the Kitchens than up in that tower. The warmth was definitely more appreciated now. Uh hu-- Oh jeez. Oh MERLIN. The proud cup thing had made a comeback. He didn't mind THAT. There was just the possibility of a certain something else making a comeback too: snaps. He didn't know WHY he hated them so much but he did. It was just WEIRD. Flashbacks of the precious lesson was coming back to him; one that was FILLED with pink and glitter and freaking snaps. Shudder. ANYWAYS. "Hey Professor Cassie!" he called, smiling a little at her and giving the house elves -- were they joining in? -- a 'sup nod before heading over towards a table and an empty seat. The boy then reached into his bag and pulled out his things before scribbling in a little something he was proud of. It wasn't exactly much but it meant a lot to the fifteen year old. Uh huh. Text Cut: Parchment There. Proud moment down. Grayson got up from his seat and headed over towards the cup, folding the parchment along the way. It was deposited into the cup with a little bit a flourish. He WAS proud. Uh huh. The boy grabbed a cup of hot chocolate, gave the Divination Professor a "Thanks for the hot chocolate!" and headed back to his seat. .................. What in the name of Merlin did FLOUR have to do with Divination? |
Naaaaasty, ugly studentsies in his kitchen. Algamus narrowed his beady, little eyes at all the childrensies. With their sticky fingers and their disorder. He wanted to keep them all out of his kitchen so his elvsies didn't get distracted, yesm. Nothing was worse then a happy house elf; it made them messy. Headmistressie looooooved when Algamus kept things in order. And he loooooved to keep the Mistress happy. He was a good house elvsie. Not like Pips, Toddles and Argyle. Worthless houselvsies. Worthless. He grumbled, "You speak nicey to the missus, Toddles. No tugging, yesm?" That was rude. |
Could someone explain as to why exactly they were having a divination class in the kitchens? See, even muggle studies was kind of a stretch. But divination? How the heck did this subject subject relate? Zander wasn't exactly sure but.... At least they wouldn't be doing that astrology stuff because that had been quite a sticky situation with Flamsteed. Luckily, it was relatively easy to get out of that mess. ... Speaking of messes. Those poor House Elves were all over the place. Zander almost wanted to go help them out, almost. Right then, that snap cup thing. What was he proud of? Uh... Alrightie. Well... This would be hard. He had to think about it for a really long time as he sat there and tapped his fingers on the table. Hm. SPOILER!!: Snappy thing Of course, he was talking about delivering something to Beautiful Bentley, resident Herbology Goddess. But... He couldn't exactly write that down on a piece of paper that would be read to the entire class. No. That'd be suicide. So instead, he left it vague. Vaguey McVaguerson. On his way to the snap cup he totally remembered that he had forgotten to say hello! Whoops. "Hi Professor Morgan," He would definitely not be one of those addressing her as 'Cassie'. That was way too weird, even for Zander. |
Look at the elves! Elf watching was probably one of Adi's favourite thing to do. Ouch! That one banged his head...Poor little guy. Or gal. And there was another one, dragging something in a bag. Adi was distracted by Jasmine. Heeeey, Jasmine! He returned her wave. Lux followed. Was it him or did she seem a lot happy? "Hi, Lux! You're okay now?'' Did this mean Bay was alright? The Hufflepuff hoped so. And here was Benny! "Hi.'' Adi grinned. Little did he know he was thinking along the same line as his bestie. They hadn't hung out much lately. Oh well. At least they were right now even if it were in class. The third year peeked at Benny's parchment. Potions had the honour of being the proud moment, eh? Adi knew his friend disliked the subject. |
Ah Divination time again! He liked this class. He did so well in the last lesson. The professor saw he worked hard and plus she was really nice. As he made it to the kitchens, he saw there was parchment on his desk as he walked over to it. He looked up at the board and saw he needed to write on it what he was proud of. Hmm....what was he proud of this year? He already mentioned Emmy last time. He needed to do something a little different. He thought about it and dipped his quill... Quote:

As more of her friends arrived, Lux sent them smiles and friendly waves. Grayson got one as did Kace and Zander. Adi's question made her nod happily. Yes, she was okay now. Wanting to talk about it more, she figured that during class wasn't the best time. She could explain more later, but for now surely he would get that Bay was starting to feel better. |
Of all the the places in this bloody castle they had to be going to the bloody kitchen possibly to do some bloody cooking. UGH. First the OWLs, then Hadley then Botros and now Professor Smiles. She was so done with these people and done with the kitchen where it came to making anything for themselves. Hopefully the woman wouldn't be as much a stickler about who cooked the food so long as it got cooked. Yes, eyes on you Professor Hadley. Alexa walked into the room, sullen and in need of a pep of motivation. The hot chocolate didn't help, neither did the cookies or the house elves bobbing about but there was nothing to be done about that. The kitchen was an evil place unless there was someone making her food. "Good Day Professor." Apparently she wasn't allowed to call her Professor Smiles to her face but Lex was POSITIVE the woman wouldn't mind if she asked. Which reminded her, she had something for the woman, she did. For now, Lex took a seat and waited, eyeing the parchment..... SPOILER!!: Parchment |
Marigold skipped happily into class, beamed at the professor, and greeted her with a grin and "Hello!" She took a mugful of hot chocolate, still beaming, then made her way past the house elves to her seat. "Whoops!" she said, almost tripping over a smaller one, Toddles, did that other one say? She stepped around it and ran to her seat to write. SPOILER!!: Parchment |
Ooh, the kitchen! Hazel was glad the professor chose this location. It was nice, and there were house elves! She made her way to a seat and looked at the board. Something she was proud of… Hmm… She picked up her quill and wrote thoughtfully on the parchment. SPOILER!!: proud Hazel brought her parchment up to the front and took a cup of hot chocolate. "Thanks, Professor!" she said, heading back to her seat. |
They were writing down feelings? Ew. Noel was not a believer of those. He'd rather speak about it then write it down. What good could writing do? Nonetheless, he wrote down the first thing that came to mind: He could go on and write more but the parchment will probably run out. Dropping it down in the cup, the boy picked up a chocolate and went to find himself a seat. |
Today was the best part of her life, Divinations class. The third year loved this class and she couldn't wait to get started. The energy of Professor Morgan and the class in general was amazing for this happy go lucky third year. Emmylou wasn't as happy as she normally was because she ran out of candy a week and a half ago but it felt like years since she had eaten candy. The Gryffindor needed candy and if she was going to get it soon then there were going to be some problems and a grumpy Emmylou. "Hello Professor Morgan. How are you today?" The blonde beamed. Emmylou took a piece of her parchment and wrote down what her proudest moment was. |
Stepping into the kitchens, Layla had to wonder why they hadn't had every class here. It was definitely warmer than the rest of the castle. Maybe the other professors hadn't thought of it? "Hello, professor," she greeted before getting herself some hot chocolate, finding herself a seat and reading the note. Wait, what? Bragging on yourself? She wasn't really a huge fan of that. Doing nice things and feeling good about it, yes, but not turning around and bragging about them. As Layla saw it, if you sought recognition for something good you did, then you did it for selfish reasons instead of out of kindness. But it appeared that this little 'snaps' thing was something they had to do so she quickly wrote something down and dropped it in the cup before returning to her seat. Quote:
