post 1, Victor Bay- Cancer Alrighty now it was time to get up and have some more fun. Taking a name tag he wrote his name down with his zodiac sign. Quote:
He was now on the hunt for these people. |
post 2-Simon Holden, Gemini SPOILER!!: Sherlock Simon was still searching around the room for someone to make a card for when Ethan slipped him a Valentine's card. His blue eyes widened when he picked up the card and read it. It was absolutely perfect! Simon grinned at his best mate. "Thanks Ethan! This is the best card that I've ever gotten," he said as he patted his friend on the back. Simon was going to keep it forever. No one had every made him a more appropriate card that conveyed their friendship. Note to self: he'd make Ethan a card later. Now getting on with the assignment, Simon searched around the room for someone with a compatible sign when he saw that this Hufflepuff boy called Ian (Edward Penguin). He grabbed a yellow coloured card, picked up a crayon, and began drawing. He didn't know this boy at all. He wondered what the boy liked. He stared at the boy for a couple of minutes, trying to read his body language and trying to be all-Sherlock Holmes-like so that he could find out what type of person he was. However, Simon was getting nowhere.. Uhhh.. He went for something simplistic. He drew a couple of balloons on the front and then inside in neat handwriting wrote: Quote:
Getting up from his table, he approached Ian and held out the card to him. "Incoming delivery for a Mr. Ian Tinker. We don't know each other, but.. yeah.. Here's a card," said Simon really awkwardly. He gave the boy a shy wave and then returned to his seat. Yep. That had been super awkward. He glanced about the room, seeing who else he could make a card for... His blue eyes landed on Agatha. He smirked. :mwaha: Oh this would be fun. He picked up a pale purple card and began his work. |
Post 3: Zander, Capricorn Zander just stared at the parchment in front of him. Uh. He wasn't creative at all. How would he make a worthy card? He needed something nice because Lux had been such a good friend all term. She was even giving him girl advice! Even though she didn't know that Bentley was said girl.... But she was helping him nonetheless! It had to be good. WAIT, BRUSSELS SPROUTS! That was like an inside joke now, right? At least he hoped that she'd remember... And if not then he'd just have a random brussels sprout on her card... Maybe he should put an explanation along with it? Either way the Gryffindor started doodling and writing in loopy cursive writing. Hopefully she'd like it... Because he didn't really have an artistic bone is his body. But he was trying. Really hard. |
Post 1, AJ Valentine - Aries. Anyone? They would be making cards? Well, that was a lot better than some hard assignment so there would be no complaining heard from AJ. So she was an Aries, and she needed to find somebody else who was one too. First off she figured she could have a card all ready to go so she could just hunt that person down and hand it right over. That way one obstacle would be down. She selected a red piece of paper and picked up a white and black crayon. Tapping the crayon to her chin she thought for a moment about what to make. She wasn't one for the girly stuff and normally didn't make v-day cards. Deciding on drawing some different colored hearts AJ got right to work. In the middle of the paper she wrote 'Happy V-Day' Yup. That was about it. Now who was an Aries? |
Post #1 : Pisces Uhhh....WHAT. Sophie just...NO. This sounded humiliating in every aspect. What if Sophie didn't even get a card? Or what if she was forced to give a card to some random person she didn't even like? This just spelled T-R-O-U-B-L-E. If her brother was anywhere around her, which he wasn't, she'd make him a friendship Valentine's Day card. They were born on the same day, so he was a Pisces, too. No such luck. At least if she finished early, she got to go get a cookie. She felt LAME, but she made herself a sign: Sophie Newell: PISCES. Give me a card? Please? So I don't look like a loser... |
Post 1 - Mo Branxton, Cancer Hmph. Making Valentines for each other? It was kind of touchy-feely warm and fuzzy stuff, and Mo wasn't sure he appreciated fluff during his NEWT year. Merlin knew Cat deserved a Valentine, though, so at least he could participate AND sweet talk the girlfriend at the same time. Plus probably give out some other cards as well, whatever worked. Quote:
|
Post #2 Text Cut: Grayson! Oh, hey, Grayson! Sophie spotted Grayson across the room and decided to stroll over that way and just peek at his sign. No harm in peeking at a sign. If it said Aquarius, Gemini, or Pisces, she was totally going to make the new Slytherin hottie a Valentine. Only, she was going to distribute it when he wasn't looking. That was just how she rolled. Besides that, she thought he already had a girlfriend or something, so no use in making herself look desperate. They had already had a conversation on that. Sophie sort of walked sloooowly across the room, trying not to make eye contact with Grayson. When she got close enough, she spotted his sign. DARN. The new Slytherin hottie was a Capricorn. BOO, Professor Morgan. |
Post 5: Cris Sander, Virgo. Handing card to Ethan Cris decided to settle with something simple to draw...without messing it up too much. He drew in stars and colored them Gold in color. Then he drew in a trophy and wrote a 1 in it. Then because it was Valentine's Day, he drew in two hearts, but added some green around it...just because Ethan was a Slytherin...plus also the fact that the color green made the heart, more masculine looking. The cartoon drawing of Ethan was the hardest, and even though Cris tried to draw one that resembled him, the only thing he was able to do successfully was get the color of his hair right. Cris sat back and studied his makeshift card for Ethan. Picking up a red crayon, Cris wrote in the words Happy Valentine's Day. He was done. Was it a masterpiece? Nope! Cris just hoped Ethan liked it anyway. Getting up from his seat Cris walked over to the young Slytherin boy and handed his Valentine's Day card to him. "Here you go, bud. I hope you like it. Picasso I'm most definitely not," Cris grinned down at his friend before returning to his desk. Then he pulled out another white piece of paper and began creating another Valentine's Day Card. His creative juices were definitely flowing now. His next recipient? Another person who had one of the same signs that he did. |
Post #1 :: Beverly Wayne, Leo Text Cut: Professor Morgan Beverly was still brooding over her moon description. It was rubbish. UTTER rubbish. And now that Professor Morgan mentioned it, far fetched, too. She needed a new moon. One that wouldn't tell her when she could or couldn't eat. That was just simply BARBARIC. She'll eat all she wants whenever she wants. Fortunately, they were going to be working with the sun sign. There was no need to come up with an elaborate lie about how the moon sign was a false. Beverly disliked her moon and when she disliked something it was rather hard to get her to un-dislike it. All she hoped for now was that the signs didn't fail her. Aries had to be one of her compatible signs. Y'know, totally biased because her boyfriend was an Aries and it would be perfect. Not that it mattered. Lets see what there was in store... Quote:
Text Cut: Morgan...again :3 Jotting some notes down, occasionally looking for the time, she rested her chin on her palm. Did she agree with her compatible signs? Uhm...NO. Beverly's preferred compatibility signs: Capricorn, Aquarius annnnd Aries. Top choices right THERE. Writing her name down on the parchment, Beverly took a moment to pause and wrinkle her nose. Show appreciation and love? But she hardly appreciated anybody here her age and she DEFINITELY didn't love anyone. But whatever. House points were on the line. Pausing once again, she cackled in her head. HAHAHA. She didn't need to get jealous. Her boyfriend wasn't even this class. HA. Right, right. She needed to get started on this silly Valentine's Day card stuff. Collecting a few crafts stuff, she sat back down and thought of something nice to say to someone she didn't know. Hmm... |
Post 2 - Mo Branxton, Cancer - card for Cris Mo was NOT drawing hearts or cupids on his sheet of paper, but he DID draw a huge tree with long flailing branches. And two stick people underneath. It was a good tree, too, and Mo spent a ridiculously long amount of time drawing individual, fluttering leaves on the tree. Underneath the tree, Mo wrote the words "Happy Valentine's Day. Try not to lose an eye to the Willow." Not for Cat, no. This card was for his apparent Astrological match, Cris. "Hey, mate, here's a card for you. Don't lose it, 'cause I think it might be worth something someday," Mo sauntered across the room and dropped the card in front of the Hufflepuff. Now then... who should he make a card for now? |
Post 4: Zander, Capricorn + LUX DELIVERY FOR YOU Zander finished up drawing the funky little vegitable, but the card looked so plain on the oustide. Sigh. Though he wasn't a major fan of this valentines day stuff, he figured that it'd be okay to add some pink. Girls like Pink right? And Lux is a girl.... So more pink? And some hearts too... Because it was valentines day after all. SPOILER!!: Card (Front!) He had finally finished up the outside of the card, and now was time to work on the inside bit! Ah. This was where he was supposed to get all sentimental and stuff right? Quote:
But he was finally done with the card, and though it did take effort, he was pretty darn proud. Now to deliver it! He spotted the Hufflepuff who was now hard at work on a card herself. Holding the card out for her he smiled warmly. "Hi, Uh, Lux, I uh, I made you a card." Weird. "I... I hope you like it." |
Post 4 - Lux, Gemini (*waves to Zander*) The writing part of her card done, Lux decided to add some red and pink hearts to the outside of it. Not too many, but enough that she was sure Jasmine would be pleased. Girls liked hearts, right? Most of them did at least. And hopefully red and pink would be perfectly fine too! Once they were added, she went about shading in the rest of the card a nice blue colour. There was no way that blue could be left out. Humming while she worked, it was a slight surprise when Zander came over with a card. Awwwww, that was so sweet. Caught up in her own work she had actually forgotten that she was supposed to get something too. "Thanks Zander!" Taking it from him, she giggled at the brussel sprout. It was so cute and of course she remembered what he was referring to. The message inside was really sweet. Getting up from her seat, she gave him a hug. "It's amazing. Thank you so much. You're a great friend too!" He was so very nice to her. |
post 3-Simon Holden, Gemini After seeing that Agatha had already gotten a Valentine's card, Simon hid his away. He'd give the Valentine's card later to her when they were hanging out. Yeah, that seemed like a good idea. The boy scanned the classroom, looking for another person to make a card for. He needed to find someone that was either a Leo, Cancer, or Taurus. He saw a Gryffindor boy (Victor) who was a Cancer. He would make him a card. Mhmm.. Once again, the boy tried the whole Sherlock Holmes style of reading body language but it didn't work too well. Ahem. He'd just start with something basic. On the front of the card, he wrote the boy's name in neat cursive. Quote:

Post 2 (Giving card out) AJ Valentine, Aries Quote:
Who was a match? Obviously her sister was, but she seemed to be way behind, and AJ just didn't feel like dealing with that at the moment. Looking around she spotted Leah. Hey, they were both the same sign. "I'm an Aries too." Did that mean that they were destined to be besties? Only time would tell. Right now though her bestie was Arista, and Adi... but she was not going to let her mind go there. "Here you go." She handed over the card with the different colored hearts on them. She needed to make some more cards so she skipped back over to her desk. Maybe she could find another match. If not, Leah was going to be getting an awful lot from her. |
Post 4 (Adi Rehman- Capricorn) Adi was wondering if he should draw a couple more lions for Zander's card when he felt a slap on his shoulder. He looked around to find Ian. "Hey, Ian!'' Oh! The other boy made him a card? Cool! Adi took it and flicked it open. "This is awesome! Thanks, Ian.'' He particularly like the night time quidditch scene. "We'll be lifelong friends for sure.'' How about a fist bump, Ian? Now what was he doing? Oh yes! Trying to decide of he should draw some more lions? But now the answer was clear. Naaah! This one unusual lion was enough. So...words. Adi needed words for this card. That shouldn't be a problem, right? He picked up his pencil again. He'd use that just in case he wanted to change a few words, then when he was satisfied with everything he would trace them over with the crayons. Quote:

Post 4 Delivering card to Leah.......Jasmine, Taurus Having finished her card, Jasmine figured that it was time to deliver it to her zodiac match. Getting up from her seat, Jasmine walked over to Leah. "Hi Leah. I'm Jasmine. It seems that you're my match so I made a card for you. Happy Valentine's Day. I hope you have a great day." Jasmine hoped that Leah would like her card, simple though it was. She had really enjoyed making it, in fact she had enjoyed the whole class so far. Professor Cassie said that they could make more than one card so Jasmine went to search for other potential matches. She had wanted to make a card for Cris, but didn't know if she could. Maybe she could if she had enough time. SPOILER!!: Leah's card |
post 2, funny card for Simon :D Quote:
Bending over his parchment he wrote. Quote:

Post 5 - Lux, Gemini + DELIVERY FOR JASMINE Pulling out of her hug with Zander, Lux beamed at him before heading over to Jasmine. "Happy Valentines Day!" she said as she gave it over to the older girl with a smile. "I hope you like it." With all the red/pink hearts on the front and the lame message on the inside. Quote:

Post 6 - Receiving from Mo and giving card to Prof. Morgan xD Cris blinked in surprise when none other than Marcus came up to where he was sitting and gave him a card. "It's for me? Wow! Thanks, Marcus," Cris immediately thanked the Ravenclaw before he returned to his desk. Cris opened the card and immediately busted up laughing. There in front of him was a drawing of a tree with swinging arms. It had to be the Whomping Willow and the stick people under it had to be them. Cris couldn't believe that Marcus actually remembered that day. He turned and waved his hand at Marcus to get his attention and when he did, gave him a mock salute. Then it was back to the own V-card he was making. Cris began first drawing in an avatar of someone with blond hair. Then he drew in paw prints along both sides of the white parchment. Then he drew in animals...well they looked like animals. He couldn't promise they were or not. Then Cris colored them, using the various colored crayons he had in his disposal. Next were the words. Cris smiled as he wrote them down and hoped that Professor Morgan understood his reference. Then once he was done writing HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY in big bold red letters, Cris put down his crayons and studied his worksmanship. Pushing back his chair, he got up. Picking up the folded piece of white paper in his hand, Cris walked over to the Professor. "Happy Valentine's Day, Professor. I hope that you have a great one," Cris smiled at her before handing the card he had made especially for her. Then it was back to his desk again. Cris was now going to make one for his own special Valentine. |
Lex, Gemini - Post 1 (MO!) They...had to be making cards for each other. No matter how the Professor explained this, Lex still didn't like the idea and didn't like the effort that would need to be expended on such an activity either. Plus, two of her signs were the same, she'd have to go scanning extra hard to find two Geminis? Couldn't she give herself one since technically it spoke to her and her sun and birth and all that other rubbish? It would still count yes? And how would she know anyway? Did she have to walk around checking people's parchments--op no, they were wearing signs. That was a bit more helpful but it didn't detract from what this activity was. With a heaviest of signs, Lex grabbed a parchment and began scribbling. This wouldn't be much of a card, just a folded parchment with the words 'Sorry you had to be stuck in this class too, don't expect a Happy Valentines, you know me better than that. Oh and I appreciate'. Always the politically correct one. Down right creative if you asked her. Lex The Gryffindor pushed away from her seat and headed for Branxton. Did she care he was a Cancer? Hmmmmmm....NOPE. "Here, do me a favour and take this." She said, thrusting the card toward him. No there was no Cancer on her paper, no she wasn't looking for other Geminis. Don't ask, 'kay? |
Post 5.....Jasmine, Taurus SPOILER!!: Lux Jasmine continued to search for her next match. Was she the only Taurus in the class? So far it seemed that way. She didn't recall seeing any Aquarius signs around either. Then fortunately she saw another Aries. It looked like her next card would be going to A.J. Valentine. Jasmine was surprised when Lux approached her with a card. She looked at the card and opened it to read the message inside. A smile spread across Jasmine's face as she read her card. "Thank you so much Lux. It's beautiful. I love it." It was so sweet of Lux to make a card for her. |
Post 6 - Lux, Gemini Lux was happy that Jasmine liked her card. "It's all true! You are a good friend!" Jasmine was a very nice person, and Lux was happy that she had met her at the start of term. They needed to hang out more, that would be a lot of fun! Smiling at the girl she said, "Have a great day," and wandered back over to her desk. Was there enough time to make another card? There better be, because she had one more that she wanted to make. |
Post 6, Ian- Cancer Response to Simon Quote:
He glanced around the room to see if there was anyone else who might like some encouragement and was not getting much 'love'. Ian certainly could see the benefit of this type of exercise. He certainly felt encouraged. |
Lux, Gemini - DELIVERY FOR BAY Taking another piece of parchment, Lux started drawing candies on it. Candies were nice for Valentines Day, and she loved them. Using bright and pretty crayons, she coloured them in. There were different kinds, and she hoped that Bay would like his special card: he loved candy as much as she did! On the inside, she wrote: Quote:
