Post 2 Oh wait....Marcus Branxton was also a Libra. Awesome. Cris was now glad that he had three people whom he could give out Valentine's Day cards to. Now that he three to choose from Cris began creating his first one for Ethan. He spent some time thinking about the words he would put on the card. No, it wouldn't be all lovey dovey, but he still made it heartfelt. Knowing Ethan from Durmstrang, it was easier for Cris to create his card then it would have been if he had to make one for someone he didn't know. Next, he colored in the background. Red...because it was a Valentine's Day card but Cris figured that he would try to sneak in some green in there somewhere. Because hey! what would a Valentine's Card be for a Slytherin if it didn't have some green in it right? Next was the hardest. Drawing in a cartoon figure. Cris spent a considerable amount of time drawing that. |
Post 2: *CLAIMS LUX* Zander eyed the different signs curiously. It looked like some people were still working on theirs... He looked back at his table to see what Ethan and Simon were up to. Wait-- Simon was a Gemini!? He could make a card for Simon! The Slytherin would probably be okay with a nonmushy card and it would all be great! But wait... The Gryffindor looked up and saw that Ethan already delivered one to him. Man. Back to searching he goes... Zander let out a small sigh as he searched through the room once more... Anyone? Uh, aaaaannyyyoneeee? LUX, GEMENI!? Zander let a small smile make its way onto his face. PHEW! Thank goodness it was Lux. Lux who was an actual friend and who Zander knew and who wasn't a girl that totally freaked him out. This wouldn't be that hard! And with that Zander began scribbling. He'd have to make it good. Especially after the advice she gave him. Lux was a lifesaver. |
post 1 They...had to make valentine's cards? Like the Gryffindor hadn't been uncomfortable enough! He didn't like anyone in both the romance way AND the friendly way. Well, Zander was an okay guy..in a friendly way... but for the rest bleh. He first needed to make his own sign though, so Kevin grabbed another card and some crayons and began to write Quote:

Leah made sure that her chart was correct before listening to the professor's SUPERLONG lecture and starting to find her compatible signs. Quote:

Post 1. The thirteen year old thought about what Professor Cassie said. So she might have physic ability? How would one triger that? Emmylou didn't know if she wanted to be a physic, not that there was anything wrong with being physic but she just wasn't sure how her family, mostly her mother would take if she was...that would be if her mother actually saw her. |
Post 1 Oh this sounded like it was going to be fun. Jasmine liked any chance to be creative, so she planned to make a fabulous card for her Valentine person. Her only regret was that her card would not be for her boyfriend. Oh well, it would be fun anyway. Picking up a piece of parchment, Jasmine made her sign sign. Quote:

Post 1- Adi Rehman (Capricorn) Cool activity! The only thing was, Adi was terrible when it came to art stuff. He pitied who ever he would be giving his card to. Ah well. It was a chance to embarrass himself. Hehe. Hopefully it would be a friend with whom he embarrassed himself in front of. So, let's see. He needed to find someone who was either Capricorn or Aquarius. Adi glanced around. Most students were still working on their signs so he decided to get started on his own and afterwards he could find someone with those two zodiac signs. Quote:

Post 1 - Ian Tinker, Cancer Ian glanced up from his chart after having written out on his notes Quote:

He began looking around for someone with his compatible signs, Leo or Capricorn. |
Post 2........ Claims Leah Jasmine decided to get up and walk around in search of her card recipient. She figured that with three possibilities, she should be able to find someone. Many of her classmates were still making their signs and she was not opposed to peeking over shoulders. So far, Jasmine hadn't had any luck in finding a Taurus, Aries or Aquarius and then......Bingo. Leah Abbott, Aries. OK Leah Abbott, Aries, one extra special Valentine's Day card coming up. Jasmine did not really know Leah, but she knew that she had worked with Cris before in Arithmancy. She thought about asking Cris for any info that he could give her about Leah. For now though, she was satisfied with gathering her card making supplies. Jasmine grabbed some parchment in several colors and a few crayons. She was unsure about the glitter, but she could decide on that later. Looking at Leah for a moment, Jasmine tried to picture what she might like. Then she tried to get a plan for what she wanted to do with her card. |
#1 - Leooo but she's not doing it right =P haha No. Agatha disliked this class so much at the moment she didn't WANT to do ANYTHING. That stupid moon... that silly chart... the only good thing about this lesson was the pink stuff. That was nice. But Agatha wasn't even paying attention to things anymore. ....Why were people moving and doing things? The teacher had probably told them to write their names and sign on a piece of parchment. The third year grabbed some crayons and started making a random card to no one in particular. |
Post 2 - Card construction #1 (Adi's card) Ian had been looking around and noticed that his buddy Adi was a capricorn. He decided that Adi would get a card. How hard could it be to make a card for a friend. Ian took out some crayons that matched colors for Adi's favorite quidditch team. He sketched out a couple rings and a tiny keeper in front. He colored in the background with a night time scene (because really, quidditch matches at night were so much better). He opened up the card and looked over the room trying to seek some clever inspiration. Finally, he settled on the following words: Quote:

Post 3: destroying card and re-doing Cris was working hard in making the card for Ethan, but he was struggling with the drawing. He paused for a couple of minutes to review what he had already accomplished. Normally, Cris would be satisfied but today, he wasn't. He grimaced at how much he had used for the background and then the words he had used and decided that it was too cheesy. Cris picked up the white paper, crumbled it up and shoved it into his backpack. Then he pulled out another blank white paper and began creating a new one for his Durmstrang friend. |
Post 2 (Adi Rehman- Capricorn) Adi soon found someone's sign that read Capricorn. It was Zander, a fellow third year whom Adi never interacted with but saw a lot around the Castle. Hey, he could make a new friend using this activity. Or get royally laughed at. Either way, Zander was getting this card. Adi grabbed a piece of coloured parchment. Hmmm...what to start with? He thought. A drawing of a Lion! Yes. That would be perfect. Picking up a pencil, he set to work sketching out a lion. It was hard work for multiple times Adi had to erase and restart on a particular aspect of the lion. He sighed. Why was anything that involved art so hard for him? But finally he sketched a passable looking lion. So what if one half of the body looked a tad bit bigger than the other half? Or one of the legs was shorter than the other while another on was fatter? Adi decided that was as close as he could get to drawing a proper lion. Next he worked on the face and neck. The neck had a nice, thick mane. Its face had a big, toothy smile because it was a friendly lion. Lastly, was the tail. A long, swishy one. Next up: Colouring! |
Post 2 *CLAIMS JASMINE* Eyes scanning the room, Lux tried her best to find someone who was one of her incorrectly named compatible signs. Preferably someone she knew at least a little, because otherwise she wouldn't know what to say and might seem weird. But then again, her chart said she put a lot into what people thought about her, so maybe it was a good idea not to care. Lux could be a rebel when she wanted to, and her chart was not right. Willa didn't want her dating Bay, and there she was doing it anyway because she loved him so she clearly did her own thing. As Kevin put out a sign saying that he was a Leo, she considered making one for him, but then figured that maybe he wouldn't appreciate it. The boy didn't seem to be a fan of Valentines Day. But then there was Jasmine! She was a Taurus! Excellent. Lux didn't know her super well, but she liked Jasmine and the girl was super nice. Happily, she started thinking about what she wanted her card to say. |
Post 3 (Adi Rehman- Capricorn) Adi admired the drawing of the lion. Despite the er... various disproportions, it wasn't a bad sketch. Hopefully Zander would think the same thing. Anyway, the next thing on the list (though Adi didn't actually have one) was to colour Mr Lion. He decided to be creative and use the colours of Gryffindor House- Scarlet and Gold. Retrieving the light red and deep yellow crayons from the box, the third year began to colour. Again he started with the middle of the lion. He coloured this scarlet. The mane was also this colour. The tail, face and legs all got gold. This certainly was an unusual lion but who says one can't create unusual stuff? |
Post 4 Cris began creating Ethan's card again. This time he decided to leave the background as white. First, was the wording. Again, Cris had to think long and hard, tossing ideas back and forth until he came up with something. It still sounded cheesy but never having done a Valentine's Day card for a guy before, Cris figured that was the best he could do. Next, he would begin drawing in the cartoon drawing and adding the other decorative stuff in. Cris paused. What was he going to draw in that would compliment his wording. Then, the light bulb turned on in his head. Cris smiled as he began drawing. |
Post 3 Ethan returned to his seat, a bit disappointed. He was hoping he’d go make a card for a Sagittarius, but it seems that no one was born under that sign. The only person he knows to be an Archer is Mordred. Can he…make one for him? Will…Professor Morgan mind? Because, he was done with the task and got nothing else to do. He already chose Simon for the task and already gave him his card. Plus, it seems that Grayson is already working on his card, so the entertainment has already stopped. Or…maybe not? Why not make a card for Grayson, yeah? Just to make his mood better…hopefully. Besides, there’s nothing wrong with giving some luuuurrrrrrvvveeeee around, right? As usual, Ethan had a funny grin on his face as he got a PINK card, and started to doodle. Pink. Yes LOTS of those, please. Teehee. |
Post 3 Getting an idea, Jasmine got to work on her card. She decided to use red and pink because what was more Valentiney than that. Since she didn't really know Leah, Jasmine decided that going simple was best. An over the top card may not appeal to the Aries girl. Taking crayons out of the box, Jasmine began to write and color decorating her card the best she could. She decided to forego the glitter since she was keeping it simple. You couldn't have a Valentine without hearts though. The hearts were mandatory. When she finished, Jasmine put the crayons down and looked at her work. Well it wouldn't win any prizes, but It was the thought that counted. SPOILER!!: Leah's card |
Post 3 - Card delivery 1 and card construction 2 Ian, Cancer Ian finished up the card for Adi. He walked over and sat the card on the table in front of his mate, slapped him on the shoulder and said, There you go Adi! A nice card for a nice fella. Have a great day! As Ian began to make his way back to his seat, he spied a third year Slytherin girl who had scribbled Leo onto her card. He took out his parchment, some different color crayons (he had decided on dark colors, because this girl seemed kind of distant) and drew a picture on the front. He went with an image of a serpent ascending stairs. This kind of reminded him of the Slythies having to go all the way from the dungeons up to the tower for this class. He had made it a rather narrow, crooked staircase leading to a place of light. He accented the light with pastels to show the airy quality of the divination room. He chose pinks and yellows and oranges and pushed them around to give the room some mystic appearance. When he was satisfied with the picture on the front, he opened the card and began to think. Her name is Agatha...what sorts of things to write to a girl he'd never met... Soon, inspiration came and he decided on the following poem. From the dungeons below to the tower on high You've entered this room with an attitude and sigh You don't seem too thrilled with the class here today I hope you've a pleasant dinner and happy V-Day! With a flourish of orange he signed the card To Agatha, from Ian It wasn't the most poetic, or even encouraging note, but he hoped he'd met the intent of the lesson. |
Post #1; Capricorn FREAKING YES. That was his name! HE was Grayson! FREAKING. YEEEEEEEEEEEES. No snaps though, please and thank you. Thoroughly PLEASED he was with his answer. Uh huh. Smirking a little, he sat back in his seat. And no, he was not going to be looking at his birth chart if he got lost. Unless, of course, it started speaking the truth. Then he might just consider it. Something he definitely wasn't considering was using the glitter. Nope. He was going to make a sign but glitter?! No, tha-- .................................... Oh jeez. What was THIS?! They had to make CARDS for people? .................. No. Just NO. Grayson groaned and placed his head in his hands. Show appreciation and love for people? But some people were weird and he didn't like them. He didn't want to show love and appreciation for those loonies. And this was VALENTINE'S DAY. That made it all worse! Even if Professor Cassie had said that it wasn't for people who were dating, some creep-o was GOING to think that he, Grayson Douglas Whitlock, was in love with them. DID SHE SEE THE PROBLEM? Ugh. Fine. Just don't expect anything lovey dovey from him, mkay? Quote:

Professor Cassie, Libra Cassie continued to walk around the room. Oh look at her busy bees, how wonderful it was to see them get started and seem to enjoy the lesson. This was super exciting and she snapped as she saw some already handing them out. "Oh goodness what a fantastic idea!" She had only meant for one card from each student, but she liked this better! "Bravo, making a few cards for your matches. That just spreads the positive and happy energy even further." What amazing children. Seeing one put his head on his hands she walked over to him. "Having a little trouble Mr. Grayson?" He was alright, wasn't he? "Have you found your matching signs? Or are you not able to find someone that matches?" Certainly with a class full of students there was at least one? She gave him an encouraging smile. Picking up a cookie and placing it closer to him, "Here have a quick snack, the sugar will help energize you." Moving right along she stopped near an empty chair. Maybe she'd make one as well. Guys you are doing great and you so did something that I'm loving! I had it in my head and maybe my directions weren't clear for you to pick one person and do all the posts making the card and giving to one person, but I love the different people with the compatible signs. It's great! So either works do one card with all six posts or do a few! Also and this is VERY IMPORTANT! PLEASE!!!! put your charrie's sign and name in the title for each post. So you can number your post, but then put at least the sign. *points to mine* This helps others find a match throughout. So if someone comes in now and we are on different pages they can still easily find a match!! Example would be : Post 1- Cassie, Libra! THANK YOU!! |
Post 3 - Lux, Gemini Time to let her creative juices flow. Staring at her blank piece of parchment, Lux tried to think of what she wanted to put on Jasmine's card. It needed to be thoughtful and sweet, but not too sweet. Sappy would definitely not do. Oooh, maybe Jasmine would like a nice BLUE card because she is a Ravenclaw and blue was the best colour ever. Beaming, she took a blue crayon out of her box and wrote ''HAPPY VALENTINES DAY, JASMINE'' in big letters so that it would catch the eye. Underneath that, in red letters she wrote: 'You are a great friend. Have a great day and keep smiling because you are awesome!' Was that a nice message? Lux sure hoped so! |
Post 2 - Emmylou, Pisces. *CLAIMS SIMON BECAUSE HE'S ADORABLE* The blonde scanned the room some more, her ocean blue eyes stopped on one person that she had met not to long ago. He liked candy and he was very nice to her and her first Slytherin friend. She thought they were friends. Can you call someone you just met a friend already? Emmylou nodded to herself and smiled. She was going to call him her friend because she loved making friends. Friends! |
Post 4 - Ian, Cancer -- Card Delivery # 2 and on the prowl for another :) Ian was pleased with the way his card turned out for the Slythie girl. He got up and walked over to her desk. He wasn't sure how he should give it to her. He even considered just levitating it down so he wouldn't actually have to talk to the person. He hoped she'd like receiving a card, but he wasn't sure how well it would be received. It wasn't exactly the most flowery thing he'd ever done. He decided the direct approach was the best. He tapped her on the shoulder and thrust the card in front of her and mumbled a quick explanation...I don't know you, but you've got a compatible sign and you didn't look particularly excited soheresacardforyou. He dropped the card in front of her on the desk and took off toward his own table, a hint of red coloring his face. |
Post 1- Kace, Capricorn Alright so they had to make their names into a huge poster board. He could do that. Plus he was learning a lot in this lesson about the signs. Well his sign was a capricorn so he would write that down. He picked up his quill and began to write on the poster board.... Quote:
