Divination Lesson 1 It's early afternoon on this Valentine's Day Monday. The freezing cold weather outside has made more work for Professor Cassie to keep the tower warm for the students inside. Placing a few extra heating charms on the classroom, she is hoping to keep it toasty enough for the lesson. As students make their way up to the tower and through the trap door they might not recognize the old Divination classroom. Cassie has made her own special style show through the small tables all over the room. Decorated in pinks and reds, she's placed red flowers on each table to get into the loving spirit. Tea cups full of tea and heart shaped cookies have been placed on each table as well. In the front of the room students will notice Happy Valentine's Day balloons floating around. Professor Cassie is just finishing up placing a poster on the wall and moves to stand where a desk should be. Remembering one last thing she hurries to place the empty cup on an empty table near the door. Using her wand she opens the door to allow students to enter. Wearing a red dress and red heels, she beams her biggest smile to welcome her students enter. A cute little poster full of hearts and red ink gives students their instructions: Quote:
Hello, Welcome, First question Answers and Birth Chart Sun and Moon signs Venus and Mars Grayson and Cassie seeing the awesome give more than just one card stuff OOC: Class will begin in twelve hours. Please familiarize yourself with the classroom rules. |
Emmylou skipped all the way to her Divinations class. The third year lioness was so darn happy, not only was it Valentine's Day but it was also twelve days until her birthday and it was time for Divinations class. Emmylou couldn't contain her happiness. AS soon as Emmylou walked into the classroom she beamed at her professor and gave her a little wave. "Hello, Professor Morgan. How are you today?" She said cheerfully. She looked to see what she had to do. Crayons, parchment and she had to write what she was proud of. That was going to be easy for the third year. She knew what she was proud of. Emmylou looked around the classroom to find that she was the first one here. She took a seat in the middle of the class. Then she took a bright purple crayon and wrote down what she was proud of. |
Lux was so happy as she skipped into class. It was Valentines Day!! The first Valentines Day she had a boyfriend for. It was so very exciting!! Something else that made her excited was that this was her first Divination lesson and Lux was really liking Professor Morgan so far. That woman was super NICE. "Hello, Professor Morgan! I love the set up in here. How are you today?" BEAM. Emmy got big smiles too. Grabbing a box of crayons, she went to sit by her friend. Hopefully Bay and Kace would come soon as well. And Cinna and Bart. Hmmm, what was she proud of? Taking out some parchment, Lux thought about it a little before grabbing a pink crayon. Generally she would have gone with blue, but it was VALENTINES DAY, so pink would be better. Gosh, she was loving this holiday so much. Where was boyfriend? Biting her lip, she wrote down what she was proud of: Quote:

EVERYTHING WAS PINK IN THE ROOM. Too pink. Way too pink. They needed some blue and green in here. Pink was too infectious. Simon eyed the room suspiciously before he took another step in. Why was it all pink? His eyes widened when he remembered the post about the class on the noticeboard. He narrowed his eyes. Eugh. Valentine's Day. A very scary day for the young Snake. Taking a deep breath, he entered the room and overheard a Hufflepuff girl telling the Professor that she loved the set-up. Seriously? he thought. He could've been sick because of the over sweet set-up. Anyway, he dismissed the thought and hid behind his cool façade. He gave the Professor a friendly nod and wave. "Hello Professor Morgan. How are you?" he asked before taking a box of crayons. At least they got some cool crayons from this. He glanced about the room and saw Emmylou and the other Hufflepuff girl sitting up at the front. He gave them both a friendly wave and then took a seat at another table. Where were Cutty and Ethan to save him from all this pink? This was Madame Pudifoots all over again He took out a piece of parchment and then wrote down what he was proud of: Quote:
But it was still way TOO pink in here. |
Trying to be the cool dude, because it’s Valentine’s day, Ethan made his way towards the Divination Tower strutting. He feels good today, and his confidence is just oozing. Heck, if girls’ got this ‘I-feel-beautiful-today’ attitude, so does he. He really should stop acting like a child and be a super smooth guy. Upon reaching the entrance, he saw their professor wearing red from head to toe. A grin was plastered on his face and offered her his Well. Fail. Anyway, as instructed, he got himself a box of crayons and picked a seat. Oooh. Tea and cookies! Ethan’s really loving this school. Almost every class he’s attended got free food! But first things first. The third year got himself a parchment and paused as he thought of something that he’s proud of doing…or someone else. Hmm. Scribble, scribble. Quote:
Oh..and hai Simon. "You're early." he said as he got up from his seat and joined his fellow Snake. Ethan watched Simon carefully as he took a bite of his cookie and a sip of his tea. Well? It looks like it isn't poisoned or anything. So yes, stuffing his face with cookies. Nomnomnom. |
Valentines day. Also known as the day when all the couples could be found snogging in the towers. When all the singles would be moping. And when Zander would still be hopelessly crushing on someone way out of his reach. What a day it would be for sure. Walking into the classroom Zander-- WOAH. Holy pink. This place was crawling in all that hearts and reds and valentines day stuff. It was actually really overwhelming. And super intimidating. Woah. Zander didn't even know what to think at this point. All of this stuff kind of creeped him out... Professor Morgan was super nice and all, but she was way too girly and way too happy. All the time. Walking into this room was like taking a walk into her mind. Weird. Even though he just wanted to run out of the room and take shelter in somewhere less... frilly. He forced a small smile upon his face. "Uh hi Professor, I see you changed the place up." But unlike Lux he did not love the set up. So he'd just leave it at that. AH SO UNCOMFORTABLE. He noticed both Lux and Emmylou had arrived and gave them both a small smile. And ooh, Simon and that other kid,Ethan got a smile out of his utter relief to see the two there. He needed some men to save him from this frilly mess! Because he was still all intimidated by this room. If anything it was kind of setting him on edge a little bit. He couldn't possibly last the entire lesson in here. Okay, for once Zander actually wanted the lesson to continue outdoors. Woah. Never thought he'd ever say that... Anyways... He noticed the instructions that Professor Morgan had clearly put up and raised an eyebrow in response... Uh. He had no idea what to write. And what exactly is a "snap cup"? Was this some weird divination thing? Because they had never done this before.... Okay this set up is making the Gryffindor super itchy and super uncomfortable and super WHY WHY PROFESSOR WHYYYY! Quote:
|
He continued to stare at his surroundings. This was definitely Madame Pudifoots... He did not like Valentine's day.. Oh well. He continued to drink his tea and wait. Out of nowhere, Ethan had appeared. Simon glanced up to see his friend taking a seat by him. He chuckled when Ethan told him that he was early. "Or maybe you're just late," he teased before taking another sip of his cup of tea. Then he demolished a couple more cookies. Could they get some more cookies. Raising his eyebrows at his friend, he smirked ever so slightly. "Someone's in a good mood. I'm glad to see that. What have you been up to today?" said Simon. Then Zander appeared and came over to join them. By taking one look at his Lion friend, Simon could tell that Zander too was sort of overwhelmed by all the pink in the room. "Hey Zander! Super pink, huh?" he said to his friend. |
SPOILER!!: Simononon Thank goodness Simon was there to save the day because Zander didn't know if he could take any of this by himself. It was all just so girly. And really weird. And verging on insanely creepy. Valentines day was hardly a real holiday anyways. Why put this much effort into it? Not like it's Christmas?! "Hi Simon," Yes. Super relieved that he didn't have to stand around alone. Alone in this world of pink. Ever consuming world of pink. "Yeah... It's everywhere." He felt as if he'd start turning pink himself at any given moment. Yep. Definitely did not like this one bit. His voice trailed off as he took another look at the overwhelming room. Maybe a cookie would make it better? Yes. Certainly doesn't hurt to try. |
“I…can’t be possibly late, there’s just…the four of us.” He said as he leaned on their table chuckling. “Come on, Simon. I’m always in a good mood.” He said as he nudged his fellow Snake and took note of his…reservation about…his surroundings? “What’s up with you though?” he asked as he too looked around. Yes. Too much pink and stuff, but they need to survive this class, no? As he looked around, he caught sight of the blond boy and gave him a nod in acknowledgement. “Hey.” They…haven’t met formally, yet right? Simon however mentioned his name. “Zander. I’m Ethan. Hi. Sup?” he said as he extended his hand for a handshake. Oh and was he going to join their table? Cool, because right now, it looks like all the boys should stick together. Unless of course Josie walks in, then he just might detach himself from the boys. Ahem. “I wonder what’s up with the Zodiac Signs, though.” He said addressing to both boys, hoping to distract them from all the pink stuff. “…are we going to learn…sign compatibilities and such given that it’s Valentine’s Day?” Ethan looked at his fellows and waited for both boys to squirm. Hehehehe. |
Arista loved Valentine's Day, not because the love stuff because that was just ew but because of all the chocolate that was always around. Being small she could usually sneak a few. Professor Morgan she liked so far and there was a theme lesson!!! "Hello, Professor Morgan! Happy Valentine's Day!! I am loving the Pink and everything!!" Arista gave the Professor a huge smile as well. Grabbing a box of crayons, she went to sit down at a table that was empty at the moment. Hmmm, what was she proud of?!!! Proud of. A small grin started to form on the fisrt year's face as she remembered what she had done. She grabbed a pink crayon because it was Valentine's Day so that was warranted. Taking out some parchment, Lux thought about it a little before grabbing a pink crayon. She wrote down what she was proud of: Quote:
|
He chuckled. "Mhmm," he said with a chuckle. He nodded. Yes, Ethan was always in a good mood. The boy was amazed at how his friend could always seem so lively and outgoing almost all the time. It was impressive. Yeah, Simon was a little bit off today. He had stayed up rather late the night before searching through various books about why the weather could have been so freakishly cold. "Sorry. I just am a bit preoccupied about the whole Lake freezing over. It's weird, mate." He didn't have any other words for it. He nodded in agreement with Zander. It was everywhere. It was infectious. "Like Madame Pudifoots," he said with a wry smile before he shuddered. Yeah. He was never taking a girl there. Never ever ever. Simon's eyes widened when Ethan mentioned the Zodiac signs. "Hmm.. Me too." Then he could have DIED when Ethan teased him next. Sign compatibilities? Oh for the love of Merlin..... He snorted. "Maybe. Let's see if you and Josie match up. I'm pretty sure that you two would." Hehe. |
Quote:
The Slytherin’s jaw dropped slowly as Simon mentioned Josie being compatible with him. It would look like he was shocked, but really, he was amazed by Simon’s…semi-sorta foresight on things. “And if we are, then I will take her to Madame Pudifoots.” Hahahaha! |
Is Cris the only one wearing red? If not, I'll edit. Mentions of Jasmine too. Cris made his way up the Divination room, still fidgeting with his black bow tie. When he read the notice Professor Morgan had put up requesting that they wear red, Cris remembered rolling his eyes. Sure he was all for dressing up for Valentine's Day...if he happened to be out on a date!! But he wasn't eager to be seen wearing something red in class. Cris had hemmed and hawed worried that he wouldn't find anything red to wear when he remembered the red jacket his mother had made him bring. So that was what he was wearing now. To his utter dismay, the first thing Cris noticed when he walked into the room was that besides Professor Morgan and he, no one else was wearing red. Had he misread the notice? Cris blushed a deep red...to match the suit he was wearing. He wanted to turn around and run back to the dorm to change back but he knew that he didn't have time to do that, so he shook his head and walked right in. Well at least the room was pleasantly decorated. Cris hoped that his red suit wouldn't stand out to much in all this pinkness. Walking up to the Professor, Cris managed a smile, albeit an embarrassed one. "Good afternoon, Professor Morgan. Happy Valentine's Day to you. The class looks really nice." Cris greeted the Professor, before leaning to whisper in her ear, "Um...you didn't change your mind about us wearing red did you?" Cris hoped that she hadn't and that he had somehow missed that message. Then he turned to look at a poster on the wall and read the instructions. Something he was proud to have done. Cris didn't have a problem figuring that one out. He walked over and picked up a box of crayons, before finding an empty desk. Then he sat down, pulled out a parchment, picked out a red colored crayon and wrote down what he was proud of. Quote:
Not bad...not bad at all. Cris looked longingly at the entrance to the room. Please Jasmine. Please be wearing something red. |
Cris Jasmine was excited because it was Valentine's Day, her first real Valentine's Day. She put on her favorite red dress for the occasion and headed off to Divination class, wondering what Professor Morgan had in store for the class. When she reached the class, she saw that the classroom was decorated in a perfect way to celebrate the day. "Good Morning Professor. Happy Valentine's Day." Jasmine figured that If anyone would appreciate the holiday, it would be Professor Morgan. Seeing the class' instructions, Jasmine knew that she would have to give some thought to her answer. She took a red crayon and went over to sit by Cris. " Happy Valentine's Day!, Jasmine said to her boyfriend. She could not possibly have been beaming any brighter at that moment. "You look very festive in red. I like it." Suddenly remembering her assignment, Jasmine took out a piece of parchment and began to write with her crayon. SPOILER!!: Jasmine's answer |
Valentine's day...just UGH. He knew that the annoucement board had said to wear red and that was exactly what Kevin had done. Maybe not in the way how people expected it but he still wore something. Dressed in a dark BLUE sweater, BLACK pants and a dark blue hat on top of his head which was turned to the side, Kevin had ONE thing that was red. His socks. Which were currently hidden underneath his pants and in his shoes, obviously. So if someone should point out his dress code, he would pull up the sleeve of his pants and BAM RED SOCKS! He entered the Divination Tower with a tissue in his hand in which he coughed now and then, ignored the Professor and grabbed a crayon before sitting down. He then grabbed a piece of parchment and began to think. What was he proud of today? SPOILER!!: note Because he had seriously debated staying away from all this. |
What the...? Michael stood in the doorway to the Divination classroom and looked around the room with a mild expression of disgust. It was bad enough that it was Valentines Day, but did the Professor have to advertise it especially since he had forgotten to get Zahra a present. Awesome! Now he was going to have a very annoyed girlfriend. He made his way slowly into the classroom, picked up the box of crayons, muttered a small "Hello" to the Professor and sat down at an empty table. He rolled up his sleeves so that the Professor could see the red watch band that he wearing before pulling out a piece of parchment and wrote: Quote:

Monday. Valentines day. Cinnamon had to admit that she was pretty excited about a being Valentines day. Even with the brownie drama that unfolded this weekend. She still kept up a happy front. At least a great Divination lesson would keep her in high spirits. She still hadn't talked to Bart since she yelled at him yesterday. So hopefully he would be here and they could talk it out or something. It was the day of love so anything was possible, right? Cinnamon straighten up her RED DRESS out before climbing through the trapdoor. "Good afternoon Professor Morgan! Happy Valentines Day." she said in a happy voice or the best happy voice she could get. She was happy but no overly. The first thing she noticed was the crayons. She grabbed a box. She spotted her friends Emmy and Lux. Taking a seat near them. "Hey, girls. Happy Valentines Day." She put on her happy face and grinned at them. She got a piece of parchment. What was she proud of today. Was it that she hid the fact that she was sad today so well? Or that hadn't cried today? Or was it something else. What was it? She quickly scribbled Quote:
|
She was supposed to wear red, and as much as she didn't want to because it symbolized the whole love thing on this day, she did anyways. Pink wasn't going to happen so red was going to have to do. If anybody asked though AJ would just say that red was because of her gryffindor house. ROAR! As she made her way into the classroom she had to suppress a shudder. Was with with all the decorations? If things got super weird she would have to fake a sickness and get out of there asap. "Hello professor." Did this woman love this day or what? She was all decked out in red, and AJ was pretty sure her face was hurting from all that smiling. As she read the sign she saw that they needed crayons. Was she five? Reading further showed that she only needed it to write something down so she grabbed her a box and scanned the room. She would be lying if she said that she wasn't looking for Adi. This whole classroom set up made everything that happened between them come rushing back to her mind. The coast was clear. AJ snagged a spot not too close to anybody, and picked out a blue crayon. She pulled a piece of parchment out of her bag and thought about what she was proud of. Hmm... nothing really came to mind today. There was plenty of things that she was proud of in general, but nothing spectacular about today. AJ blew out air and put her crayon to her parchment. Quote:
|
Mack climbed the stairs, her eye widen significantly as she takes sight of all the pink. "Seriously, pink... Gag me" She stepped up into the room and she read the board, walking over to the cart she grabs a box of crayons before taking a seat in the back. Taking out the parchment she pulls out a black crayon, and started thinking... "What am I proud of today? Hmmm... SPOILER!!: parchment There she folds the piece of parchment and places it in the cup, she smiles at the professor and nods at her. She liked this class just not the pink. |
Why in the world did they have to wear read to this lesson? Adi thought that if he didn't like Professor Morgan and all her cheeriness, he would have definitely skipped this lesson. But he had made up his mind to do as best as he could since she was so nice to them all. "Hello, Professor,'' the Badger said. "You're looking great.'' He grinned then turned his attention to the hearty poster with instructions. What was he proud of? He wasn't sure. But he grabbed the crayons and headed off to find a seat. For once Adi wasn't looking around for Benny. His eyes finally found her. He didn't know if AJ had seen him or if she was ignoring him still because he saw no sign that she his presence. The boy found himself a seat, got a piece of parchment and scribbled: Quote:
|
Bay made his was through the two door and was instantly shocked... Pink and flowers.... Looking at the front of the room he spotted the professor "hello professor, I hope your well. " he said as he spotted the board. Looking around the room he saw Lux and Emmy and more of his friends as he went to go sit at Lux's table. " hey Ladies " he said while bending over to write on the parchment. Quote:
|
This was going to be the best class ever! Valentine's Day was amazing, not as good as Halloween where you get lots and lots of really yummy candy but honestly just as awesome. The third year shrugged a little, she had forgotten to bring her candy with her. She wondered if Professor Morgan would have minded if she munched on candy before class? Emmylou bounced in her chair, when was class going to start? She wanted to know why she had to write down what she was proud of on the piece of parchment. Maybe it had something to do with futureisty stuff? That made Emmylou even happier. It was Lux, now she wanted to know if she had any candy. "Hey Lux!" she said a little loudly, not really meaning it. Maybe it would be best not to ask? Not that long after Lux had arrived there was Zander! Emmylou waved over at him. "Hey Zander!" she said almost falling out of her seat. Emmylou looked around to see if there was anyone else that she knew. Simon, she had met him over by the Black Lake when she almost felt in. She owed him lots of candy for that letting her fall in."Hey Simon!" Almost little to no candy intake and she was still hyper. More people she knew were arriving, eeeeppppp! Cinnamon was the next to walk into the classroom! "Cinna! Happy Valentine's Day!" Then there was Bay not that long after Cinna had joined them. "Hey Bay." Now where was Kace? |
Divination Time! He heard there was a new professor in town. As he climbed up the stairs into the classroom, he realized how out of breath he was. He could never get used to the climb. But once he took in his surroundings, he noticed everything was PINK. Pink everywhere!? He shook his head to make sure his eyes weren't playing tricks on him. Nope it was Valentine's Day. He would have to get Emmy her gift soon. But back to the task at hand. He saw the professor and said, "Hello Professor! How are you liking Hogwarts so far?" He wanted to know her opinion. Then he took a sheet of paper and wondered what he was proud of. Then he saw his friends all sitting together, Lux, Emmy, Bay and even Zander and Simon. He greeted his bromance lover first with a one armed hug, "Hey Bay!". Then he scared Lux and went around her and squeezed her sides and said, "BOO!" He saw his beautiful girlfriend sitting there and he crept up behind her and whispered, "Hello beautiful...happy early valentine's day.." he kissed her cheek and sat down. He gave Simon and Zander a curt nod in return and a wave. He began to write on his parchment.... SPOILER!!: Parchment After he wrote it, he went back to the front of the classroom and dipped it in the cup. |
"Happy Valentines Day, Emmy! You look amazing." BEAM. Her besties were both gorgeous. Yay, more people were coming in now! Zander, Jasmine, and Adi got friendly smiles and waves. It was funny to see how the boys weren't digging the Valentines Day decorations. Oh well, she could doubly enjoy them because they were spectacular. Look, it was Cinna! "Happy Valentines Day! You look so nice in your dress." Dresses were amazing; she herself was wearing a pretty red one. And there was Bay. "Happy Valentines Day, my Lion." She was so happy that he was here now. Watching him take a cookie, she giggled. "They are really yummy." Grabbing another cookie, Lux could see Kace from the corner of her eye. Him trying to scare her was funny. "Haha. Nice try, Penguin." |
.... ....... ................................................ "Cassia we're leaving. Let's go. We can't stay here. Absolutely not. Do you see this room? I'll die. You can't expect me to sit through this. The kitchen's not that far from here," complete lie, it was seven flights down but eh, "we can still make it." Didn't Cassia like elf food? Lex liked elf food. They could ditch real quick. The Professor would never even know they were here, wasn't she busy doing...whatever it was she was doing. The class had a decent turnout of brainwashed students actually into the rubbish that was Valentines Day. TWO MISSING STUDENTS WOULDN'T BE BAD. Lex grabbed Cassia's hand and gave it a hard tug in case she wasn't listening. "Cassia Somerlad! This room is pink. There is pink everywhere and I'm about to pop that balloon. Come. On." Was her bestfriend not listening? This class wasn't mandatory. Divination wasn't even real. CASSIA! |
Text Cut: Alexa Divination! A subject Cassia didn't whether she liked or not. She supposed she didn't dislike it but she wasn't that good at it. Neither was she bad, which was exactly the confusing part. She could easily get by but she wouldn't be that good. However, the snake was eager to get to know the new professor. That was always fun, getting to know new professors. Though as soon as she entered the room she was blinded by all the pink. She didn't mind the color, unlike the protesting Gryffindor right next to her, but she was surprised by it all. Blink...blink...blink. Without a doubt Bunz was the one who chose this professor personally. The two must be very close friends who bounded over the love of pink. See, Cassia figured it all out. "Lex, try to ignore it," She knew that'd be impossible but she couldn't think of anything else to say. What?! "And leave the balloons alone." She muttered under her breath shooting a look at Alexa.Tightening her grip on the hand that tugged hers, which of course belonged to Lex, she pulled the sixth-year further into the classroom with her with all her might. They weren't going to skip a lesson! Divination was usually fun. Plus new professor and they had badges so that wouldn't be the greatest idea. "Come on, you can do it, you'll forget about the color, stare at your shoes," That had to be a better advise than the previous one. Because without needing to check she knew her friend's shoes weren't pink. "Good day professor, I'm Cassia Somerlad," She introduced herself to the professor who was working on some poster."This is Alexa Cambridge," Was Lex staring at her shoes? Cassia just saved her from having to look upwards. With her hand still clutching Lex's the snake walked towards two seats and Quote:
|
SPOILER!!: THANKS Cassia Try to ignore it she says. Easy for her. There was never a colour that irked her more than the one filling the room. It could have been overlooked, maybe, if this wasn't bloody stupid Valentine's Day. It just made it all the more puke worthy. Lex caught the look Cassia gave with the warning about the balloon. "Fine." She said, the exasperation evident in her tone. Today was going to be a long one. Lex glanced down at her shoes for a moment. These were fine but, "I can't spend the entire lesson staring at my shoes Cass, I'll miss everything--which wouldn't be so bad but I reckon we might learn something useful in all this rubbish." So you see the problem? Before further protest could be made she was being hauled further into the room. It was like Cassia had chosen to ignore every word of leaving she'd just uttered--and why did she have to be a part of the intros??? She already KNEW Professor Smiles thanks and didn't think she needed a second introduction. This is why Cassia should come to SNAC meetings, save her this extra hassle right now--"Hey quit pulling!" But it was too late, the Snake had already gotten them to a table and forced her into the seat. "You're a lot stronger than you look, you know." Lex muttered grudgingly as she took the parchment. Something she was proud of? Oh she had something alright. Quote:
|
Valentine's Day!!! Lucy wore her red dress and she climbed the stars. Great! the classroom was riched of flowers and pink decorations. She smiled at her Professor and her classmates. "Good afternoon, Professor! " She found a free seat and she writed: Quote:
|
Emmylou smiled at her best friend. The third year loved the dress that she picked out for her very soon to be favorite class ever. Emmylou didn't know how she looked in red but she must have looked aright to get a compliment from someone even if it was her best friend. Emmylou beamed at Lux. "Happy Valentine's Day, Lux! You look amazing too." She nodded. The blonde burst out laughing when she saw Kace try and scare Lux. Emmylou made grabby hands at him. "Happy earlier Valentine's Day to you too." she smiled and blushed when he kissed her on the cheek. This class was going to be amazing! |
.................................... Oh freaking merlin. He should have known. Really. The notice had said to wear red, which Grayson had gone ahead and done. Who wanted to be sitting around in their uniform when there was a choice to not do so? It was just the smart thing to do. But that notice, along with the day that this lesson was taking place should have been enough of an indication. BUT THIS?! This was ridiculous. LOOK AT ALL THE FREAKING PINK IN HERE. You know what it looked like? It looked like Cupid himself had thrown up in here. Ugh. UGH. A look crossed the fourteen year old's face, one that was half-horrified and half-disgusted. Oh jeez, was it too late to turn around and walk away? Probably not, if the Professor had seen him. Speaking of, he turned to her and gave her a nod while he said, "Afternoon, Professor Cassie. Er, happy Valentine's Day, I guess." There was FAR too much pink and namby pamby lovey dovey stuff in here. Picking up a box of crayons, he headed over towards an empty desk near the BACK of the classroom and sat down. He then reached into his bag and pulled out his writing supplies and pieces of parchment. What did he have to write on this? What he was proud about? Well, a lot of things. This was HIM. Of course there was a lot to be proud about. Jeez. Scribble scribble scribbleeeeeeeeee Quote:
Once he was done, he headed over towards the front of the classroom and deposited it into the pink cup. A. Pink. Fluffy. Cup. ......................... No. He was going to go BACK to his seat and pray that this lesson would either go by quickly or it would end up being interesting. |
Valentine's Day...and Sophie was stuck in class. Meh. She entered the room and just sort of took a casual look around. Wow, Morgan. Way to really make me remember that this Valentine's Day, I don't have a Valentine. Boo. She'd been Adi's Valentine last year, but since then, they'd called it quits and remained friends. He was a good guy. She read the directions then went forward and choose a BLACK crayon. black, because now she was in a bad mood after realized the whole world had a Valentine but her. That was maybe stretching the truth a little, but oh well. She took a piece of parchment and wrote: I'm proud that I'm taking this whole 'No Valentine' thing pretty well. This isn't going to be read aloud in class, is it? If so, pretend like this says, 'I'm proud I haven't had one manipulating thought today'. Then she went and placed it in the cup. |
Jasmine and others wearing red Cris breathed an enormous sigh of relief when he started seeing a few students walking in wearing red. There was Grayson, Lucy, Kevin with his red socks, Adi and yes even Jasmine. Cris gave his girlfriend a very special smile and when she came to sit next to him, he reached into his backpack and slipped a small gift wrapped box on the desk in front of her. Inside lay a pendant of a dancer. "Happy Valentine's Day, Jasmine," Cris smiled at his girlfriend. He hoped that Jasmine would love the gift he bought her. "You look absolutely stunning in that dress of yours. Red is most definitely your color," he whispered to her so that no one else could hear. |
The room was pink and red and entirely too TOO much. Mo didn't scowl, though, since he sort of figured that some people He straightened his red bow tie as he took a seat near the back of the room. Divination had been one of his favorite classes, back when there was a Professor Pretty in his life. Back before his photography mentor had suggested that Mo himself had a bit of the Seer in him. Now he just felt awkward about it. As instructed, Mo took a crayon (green) from the bucket and wrote on the slip of paper. It was natural to want to write about yourself or to blow off the assignment, but what if this part was actually really important? Mo was gonna take it seriously. Mo took everything seriously, though. Quote:

He was so glad that everyone was having so much fun. "these cookies are awesome right Kace" he said while shoving another one in his mouth… and nope he wasn't going to apologize.. other than Muggle Studdies they rarely get food in class and Bay was going to take advantage of the situation. Looking around it seemed that couples were getting all ooooyyyy goooyyyee at each other.. and all Bay had to do was shake his head.. it was class right… "happy valentines day to you as well little badger" he smirked… and yet another one of those cookies got eaten.. "Emmy and Cinna…. you two look good as always" he smiled because they were his friends and he wanted to make sure that they meant something to him as well. "so… what do you think were going to be doing today?" he asked the lot. |
Valentine's Day! Ahhhh! Caterina loved all holidays, really, but she had a very special place in her heart for Valentine's Day. Most people didn't like it much, or didn't see the point, but she sort of figured that a day that promoted love was a good day indeed, plus, she had a lot of love to give and today was a socially appropriate day to do so. The first thing she did upon entering the classroom was to go right up to the professor and give her a smile. "Hello, professor, I hope you've had a lovely day." She offered to the woman the small basket she'd brought with her that contained heart shaped sugar cookies with red and pink sprinkles and sugar on them. Cause it was Valentine's Day and the best part about any holiday was the food. Then, she got her crayons as instructed and looked about to find herself a table, pleased to see that Mo was there. She went and sat down next to him after placing a super quick kiss on his cheek (cause it was that day, you know? Surely the professor wouldn't mind a little bitty kiss, yes?) She tapped her chin for just a moment before she decided on what to write. Quote:

Wearing red wasn't exactly a hard thing to do or rather not an imposing idea. Benny was a Gryffindor after all and red was their thing. Making sure he didn't use an uniform pieces to avoid trouble with the professor, he opted for a simple red sweater and dark pants. It may have even been his outfit for last years Valentine's event. Oh well. Maybe he would make it standard February 14th wear. Regardless, he made his way down to the base of the divination tower and back up the tentative stairs that lead to the classroom. Unfortunately the decor of the room wasn't quite as pleasing as Gryffindor's red scenery. Too much pink for one. The rest...meh. "Hello Professor," Benny greeted simply as he took a box of crayons, the third year trying not to make a face as he looked around for a seat. Surely he wouldn't make a scene like Alexa appeared to be making. Woops...assignment. He had to figure out what to be proud of. Finally he figured something out and scribbled it down on paper, adding it to the cup before moving to take a free seat. SPOILER!!: note |
It was Valentine's Day! EEE! Demelza wore the biggest smile on her face as she loudly click-clacked her way through the halls from Gryffindor Tower. This holiday was one of her favourites, if not the favourite, and nothing could bring her down today. Her boyfriend had already sent her flowers, chocolates, and a really pretty bracelet that she was already wearing. It pained her that she wouldn't be spending the entire day with him, but they had arranged a date via two-way mirrors. Clearly love had no boundaries. Carefully coming through the trap door in her heels, that smile on her face did not fade. If possible, it grew even wider. Everything was covered in pink and red. And they didn't have to wear their tacky uniforms to class. Who was the best professor at Hogwarts? Professor Morgan, that's who! "Happy Valentine's Day!" the young actress-to-be enthusiastically told the professor as she walked by before finding her seat and reading the board. What was she proud of? What a silly question! A few moments later, Demelza had written on a torn piece of parchment and placed it in the cup. Upon returning back to her seat, she started to nibble on a cookie and waited for the lesson to begin. Photos!: parchment |
Connor walked into the Divination classroom, he was curious about this class. He liked Professor Morgan she was nice and told him a little about Thestrals before. He was also very curious about Divination, he didn't know much about it really and he didn't understand why people didn't believe in this type of magic when they believed in others. It seemed silly to him. But whatever. He read the instructions, the room was very Valentine's Day themed.. Something he was proud of today. Well first things first. "Hello, Professor." He greeted her before grabbing a crayon from the cart...what to write? Oh! Quote:

Dressed in her red and white dress and matching heels, Nessa headed up to the Divination tower. She knew exactly what Cassie was planning for class and she was not about to miss this one! Of course she also knew that she was no longer a student, but her best friend certainly wouldn't have any issue with her sitting in on this lesson in particular. Once she entered the room via trapdoor, she squealed a bit as she looked around. "Cassie! Look at this room, it's fabulous!" What a great job decorating, she did? Then realizing the room was full, her widened eyes turned back to her. "I'm not late, am I?" She'd hate to interrupt so rudely like that. But it didn't seem like it so she turned her brown eyes to the instruction poster. Oooh fun! Grabbing an indigo crayon, she took a seat at a table near the edge of the room. "Just auditing today," she said happily, giving a little wave at the students. She was just so interested in signs and knew Cassie was the expert, she wasn't going to interfere but she did want to participate. What was she proud of though? She tapped her fingers on her chin a moment before she started writing. Quote:

Her eyes hurt already. Just a few seconds inside the room and the red and pink shades made her temples throb. This was NOT a pleased Beverly Wayne. She was, though, wearing a red piece of clothe as instructed. A red shirt with a grumpy cat on it. "Hello, Professor Morgan," she greeted politely. Grabbing a box of crayons (were they going back in time to pretend the were still in nurseries?) Beverly dropped her bag on one of the seats and jotted something down quickly: Quote:

SPOILER!!: Everyone’s Hello’s Checking her watch she jumped on her heels a bit, it was certainly time to start. Leaving the door open just incase someone was running a bit behind, plus she sensed her little Gemini would be showing his fluffy face towards the last few minutes of class. “Hello everyone! Happy Valentine’s Day again. Isn’t this day just splendid? My name is Professor Cassiopeia Morgan, but please call me Professor Cassie. If you weren’t at our first SNAC meetings you should know that your SNACinators are truly wonderful people, but also you might want to know a little about me. I am actually a former Hufflepuff and graduated from Hogwarts. My favorite subject of course was Divination. I come from a long line of family members who take this subject very serious and have a few seers in my family. I am one of those seers, though my gift is a little different than most.” She grinned just leaving it at that for now. Her little SNACinators knew her gift, but she’d let the others find out maybe later. “Now as you know it’s a very special day today. A day that is great single, in a relationship, as well as for the young and old at heart.” She beamed at this fact, because really how could you hate a day that chocolate is given and kind words are given. “I had you all place something you are proud of in my snap cup. So many things get over looked, little things, that I feel especially on a day we should show love, we shouldn’t over look these things.” Walking over to her cup she pulled a piece of paper out. “As I reach in and read each proud moment, we will all snap for the person. So for example, mine would be that I’m so proud to be your professor this term. Once I read that everyone snaps like this.” She put her hands up and snapped, smiling at the class. She pulled out a piece of paper reading the first one. “I'm really proud of how hard Cat has been working on her recipes lately. She's going to be a famous chef someday, and she'll deserve every ounce of that fame. Snaps for Cat” She began snapping happily again and then pulled out the next one. “I'm proud that I don't have a boyfriend yet!!! So I can meet my friends speaking about the news. Snaps for not having a boyfriend yet.” She began snapping again, “I'm really happy that I didn't throw up in DADA class 2. Snaps for not throwing up.” She beamed and snapped with the class. SPOILER!!: All the proud moments Reading each piece of parchment and having the students snap with her after each one. “A-manzing all of you. You all deserve so many sanps. It always feels so good to be proud of something, doesn’t it?” She knew it had to and it was. They were all great and proud of something. “Now some of you are probably all Valentine’s Day, yuck, but not in this class. We will continue to show love, but I have to say. I certainly hate seeing broken hearts. So today I hope this lesson helps you not have as many.” She moved towards the poster that she had hung right before class. “Can anyone tell me what this is? Why we might use this chart and what on earth would be using it for in today's lesson on Valentine's Day." She was very curious on their take on Signs and what they might think they would be doing in the class. Glancing at Nessa she gave her friend a grin knowing she already knew. These were her crayons they were using. OOC: Guys I'm so sorry that took so long. Steven missed me while I was away and wasn't giving me much time to type anything today. The posts will not take this long I promise. My goal is to post once in the morning and once in the evening to keep it moving. All of you had amazing proud moments, because of time and space, I used a number generator to pick the ones I used in my post, but she read every one in the spoiler out loud to the class just as it was written. No names were mentioned on who wrote them, just what was on the paper! Class has officially begun, so have fun!!! |
SPOILER!!: PROFESSOR CASSIE Class was starting. Emmylou flailed at her friends and then gave all of her attention to her favorite professor, she had met her earlier in the term so it was all good. When she had met Professor Cassie she was super nervous about being at a new school and this amazinf professor just welcomed her into her office and was so sweet. Emmylou just loves happy and nice and sweet people. They were her kind of people. Now to the parchments that were going to be read. Emmylou wondered if hers was going to get read. Hmm. She didn't hear hers yet but she snapped happily from the other students that were being read. This was such a great idea. |
SPOILER!!: Prof Cassie :3 Kace smiled and was glad the professor was loving Hogwarts. "That's fantastic! I hope you enjoy it for many years to come." he grinned. She seemed to be making a new friend. He saw the History of Magic professor was here. He snapped along with the professor when she read out the proud slips. This seemed like a fun class. Plus he could definitely feel the love in the air. He smiled and catched glimpses of Emmy. She did look beautiful. Now back onto the task at hand. He saw the professor flash a poster board. It seemed like astrological signs. He noticed that because his mother and sister were into it. He was about to raise his hand and heard Emmy answer. He grinned and that was what he was gonna say. "Professor like Emmy said, it is a zodiac sign poster. It is basically there to tell you what your love life is going to be. It is like a prediction. The moons are there to tell you about your heart matters. It is called Lunar astrology I believe.." he said stopping himself. He felt like he said too much. He wanted others to contribute. |
Oooh, hello Professor Glendower. Lux sent the woman a smile and a wave as she entered the room. The two Professors must be best friends, because they were seen together a lot! It was adorable, and reminded her of her besties. "I am wonderful, thank you Professor. I'm loving Valentines Day." It was a day that she could spend with her boyfriend and best friends, what was not to love? Clearly Professor Morgan was a fan of the holiday too! Snapping her fingers along to every note read, it was hard not to giggle at the one about not throwing up in Defence Against the Dark Arts. That was so Bay's since he had done that in the first lesson; it had been so creepy with the Zombie arm. Yay for everyone and their proud moments! Kace's was adorable and made her heart melt. What a lovely boy he was. But it was time to move on to the lesson at hand! Raising her hand, she replied, "That is a poster for the zodiac and relates to Horoscopes I think. People sometimes use the Astrology signs for compatibility. You know, to see if their sign matches up with someone else's and if they would make a good couple." Personally she didn't really believe in all that Astrology stuff, and she already knew who she was compatible with thank you very much. |
So everyone was here now everyone except.... Bart. Yep. She frowned but not long enough for anyone to see. She turned and said "Hey, boys." She said to both Kace and Bay with a happy little grin on her face. Cinna picked at her dress. She had just noticed the cookies and tea. She picked one up and nibble on it. They were very very good. Forget the nibbling she was going to munch down on this next one. Yay class was starting she stopped her slouching and sit straight up and proper like. She looked over at the poster her hand flew up almost as fast as Emmy and Kaces hand did. "It's called compatibly chart. She see which signs are best matched together." |
Cris Jasmine blushed when Cris complimented her on her dress. "Thank you", she whispered to him. Then he placed a small, neatly wrapped box on the table in front of her. Looking at Cris with surprise, Jasmine said, "Oh Cris, thank you so much". "Happy Valentine's Day" Before Jasmine could say anything else. The Professor indicated that it was time to start class. Jasmine whispered to Cris, "I have something for you too". "I guess we'll have to open them after class." It was going to be very hard to concentrate on class when all Jasmine could think about was Cris, Valentine's Day and Cris. Reluctantly turning her attention to Professor Cassie, Jasmine listened to her read all of the things that the students were proud of. Then she asked the first question. Jasmine raised her hand to respond, but not quite fast enough. When it was her turn, she added her thoughts. "The poster shows the different signs of the zodiac. A person's sign is determined by their birthdate. You can tell a lot of different things about a person if you know their zodiac sign.". Jasmine was not exactly sure what they they would be using the chart to determine during today's class. |
Professor Cassie was from Hufflepuff? Oh that was awesome! That sort of explained her good nature and such. Adi listened to her go on talking. Well, Adi would have broken AJ's heart had he blabbed that he didn't like her any more than a friend. He was thanking his stars that he didn't but she most likely figured that out. The third year eyed the chart. Planets and Zodiac signs. Nope, he had no clue as to what it was nor as to what it was used for so he kept silent and decided he would just listen to his classmates' responses. |
Cris kept snapping his fingers along with everyone else as Professor Morgan read off what each of them had written. When she came to his, his ducked his head and kept his eyes on the desk nice wooden design. He was glad when she was done and then brought up the poster he had noticed earlier. Cris waited patiently for the others to reply before he raised his hand, and gave his answer. "Professor that poster shows the planets and zodiac signs which are connected with each month of the year. We use this chart to determine what sign and planet we are born under. Each sign and planet has certain characteristics assigned to it, supposedly distinct to you as a person. Some people call it their horoscope while others call it the study of Astrology." Cris shrugged. It really didn't matter either way to him. "I guess on Valentine's Day, the chart could tell us whom our best match is" Cris quickly glanced over at Jasmine before looking straight ahead, trying to keep himself from smiling. Not like he didn't know already. |
Hex him. Hex him now. This CLASS. They had to do SNAPS for everyone? WHY?! So people could feel better about how loved up they were? No thank you. And apparently, they were going to continue showing LOVE in this class. Jeez. Bunking this class was starting to sound like a much better idea. Unless, of course, something interesting happened. But right now, the only interesting thing here was the fact that Professor Cassie was a seer. Yeah. Fine. Snaps for you and you and you. Snaps for ALL of you. Could they move on? Yes? Thank-- Groan. Were they really going to show some more love in here by learning about this........... compatibility chart or whatever it is that people had called it? WAS it even a compatibility chart or was the decoration making people feel more loved up than they already were? Probably. A part of him thought it would be interesting to see who was compatible with him. A tiny part. One that the Grinch of Valentine's Day side of him was pushing down and keeping shut. HE was going to offer something. And then the hand went up in the air. "Does the chat tell you what your ruling planet is depending on your star sign?" It was a guess. |
Amid aaaaaaaaallllllll the pinkness in the room, Ethan had a grin on his face as he nudged Simon again and browed at him. Hahaha! Looks like they are going to predict…something today, yes? But, meh. Maybe not compatibility. He doesn’t even know Josie’s birthday(!!), or maybe he already asked and can’t remember? Merlin, he should learn more about her, apparently and remember things! After taking another sip of his tea, Ethan raised his hand to answer. “Professor? Will we be…predicting our fate today?” Because, Valentine’s Day? In all seriousness though, this class could be fun. The Professor and this school deemed that this branch of magic is worth learning, but if the majority doesn’t take this class seriously, then they might as well get the fun out of it, yes? Yes. |
SPOILER!!: professor Mack's eyes continued to shift around the room "I could easily run out and grab that can of black spray paint then fix this awful color." Okay, so Professor Cassie, she seems nice all except this horrid excuse for a color. "Oh a puffer, what are hufflepuffs even good at?!" Oh JOY this PINKcup. Mackenzie was seriously going to throw up.. Seriously the blonde was really really wanting to like Professor Cassie but between the pink and talking about love... Anyway moving on. Staring at the poster Mack smiled "It's a horoscope poster, it will show you which of the other signs you best fit with in love. " |
He just had to hold back a chuckle because Professor Morgan had mention his note… heeee heeee heeee. hearing all the snaps he thought it was awesome to join in.. snap, snap, snap ohhh another piece of paper.. Bay looked at it and he knew what he was looking at, he raised his hand "Professor Cassie…. these are the Zodiac signs.." he felt proud to know so much about what he was looking at.. but if his mother was here she would hit him upside the head because she read this stuff all the time. |
What in Merlin was a Snacinator?! Is that some type of brand of crisps?! With the face of Arnold Schwhatchamacallit on the front of the bag? Interesting, but now he was hungry! He was hungry, surrounded by lovey-dovey stuff, and snip-snapping his fingers off. At the least, he got to wear his favorite maroon sweater. IT COUNTS AS RED, OKAY?! And it's the only color of red he'd wear! Dec squinted at the poster. Holy Hippogriff, he did need glasses. He recognized the names on the left side and of course the right side were planets. By what his sister once told him, his sign was a Virgo and his knew that Mercury was his planet or whatever. So, maybe they were all corresponding to each other, those that were beside each other. What that meant? Who the heck knows? |
Zander met Ethan's hand for a handshake. He thought that handshakes were weird and all that considering they were still kids and did kids actually shake hands? Because that's weeeeird and way too professional. But he couldn't just leave Ethan hanging! So he shook the boy's hand and grabbed a seat next to both him and Simon. As men, it was their obligation to stick together in this totally pink lesson! He noticed a wave from both Emmylou, Lux, and Kace, so they both received one in return. There were actually a bunch of familiar faces stacking up... Maybe the lesson wouldn't be too bad. Now, if only he could stop seeing pink. Zander quickly turned his attention back to Professor Happy and listened as she squealed about everything. Too late to walk out? He looked back at both Simon and Ethan to give them a 'oh merlin' kind of look. Even her voice just oozed pink. Valentines day or not, this was creepy. Mhm, anyways... Zander snapped along the first few times, but the snapping just got real tiring real fast. So after a while his snaps sort of just... died off. The poster? It looked like a bunch of chinese symbol to be honest. But Zander recognized them from some of the magazines his mom would read. "They can be used for horoscopes right? They always have a section in magazines about your horoscope and future stuff." Future stuff? Who would've thought? In divination. What a surprise. Brilliant answer Zander, just brilliant. |
There was another cast of diffindo and another heart chopped in two. She'd be through the pile in no time and you know, depending on how you viewed life, the two technically had double the amount of cookies they started with--or they would once she was done with this. Everyone else could keep the hearts on their table but she was having none of it....and she wasn't going to respond to the Professor's Happy Valentine's Day, except maybe to wonder what the hell was so 'happy' about it. Just a nod. That was all she'd give before going back to chopping hearts and listening to snaps. Everyone got snaps, Lex didn't have to look up to know the Professor was beaming; it came through in her voice. The woman deserved her name. At the question, Lex looked up again. The chart from earlier with the astrology signs. Astrology signs, Airey didn't believe in those. Did Professor Smiles know that? "It's what Professor Airey would call blasphemy at its finest Professor." That's what it was. They weren't real. She didn't think that the month she was born or a planet somewhere out in the galaxy dictated her behaviour. She simply did what she wanted. |
There was way too much pink and red stuff in the room. The whole room was making Penelope's eyes hurt. Penelope did not like all of the pink and red in the room. As instructed, she had worn something red. A red headband in her hair was the only red thing that could be seen on Penelope. She was wearing a purple sweater. She looked at the poster that the professor put up. It had zodiac signs and planet names on it. "Those are zodiac signs. In astrology they can be used for predicting stuff in people's lives." |
Mo grinned SO hugely when his 'snaps' for Cat was read, and even more hugely when hers was read. About him. Merlin, what were the odds that, when most people were writing about themselves, he and Cat would write about each other? It was a little spooky, really. Romantic spooky. He eyed the chart as the professor talked, trying to ignore how she was bubbly and a little silly and trying to teach them astrology, which was frankly insulting. This was a real class, y'know? Still, he raised his hand. "Professor, the symbols in the third and fifth column are astrological symbols and are a pictorial representation of each of the object named in the preceding column. Some of them represent the object directly, like the moon and the sun, and some represent the mythological tale the planet or zodiac sign is named for, like how the Venus symbol represents the goddess's hand mirror." That was factual, at least. |
It seemed like the professor was not going to be giving up her snaps anytime soon, but it didn't really bother AJ. She was take a nice professor over a crabby one any day. The use of the word snacinator still made her giggle. The first year refused to look at Adi when the professor talked about relationship statuses. Looking at the poster, AJ thought that it looked kind of familiar. "Isn't that supposed to tell you who your perfect match is?" Like some signs worked well together whike others didn't. |
Beverly gathered all of the information about Cassiopeia Morgan and stored it away for later evaluation. It was the SNAPPING that caught her attention. Why was the woman snapping. Was there something wrong? Was there a fly she was trying to snap at? Beverly Wayne was NOT AMUSED. No. See the Grumpy Cat on her shirt, yeah, they wore matching expressions. Show love? The only love she showed around here was for pizza (or food, really) and that was IT. Trying to keep her scowl from deepening Beverly squinted at the woman. Her gaze shifted, though, her brows rising as she studied the poster. First, LOL at the Gryffindor Prefect. Bev would fist bump her had they been allies, but they weren't, so she just grinned a bit to herself. Good one. She raised her hand after collecting herself. "It's a Zodiac chart. The signs are often used as ways to foretell the future for a certain sign or to see what pairings would work out." Not that she knew about that. |
Wow. The Professor was really, really sweet. Like really sweet. Almost Emmylou sweet. Simon blinked for a second and then gave her a shy smile. Simon smirked at Ethan's nudge and then nudged his friend back. Yeah, yeah. Insert an imaginary eye roll here. He took another sip of his tea and listened to the professor ask them what the poster that she had up there was. He raised his hand, "It's a poster with Astrology or zodiac signs on it. The signs are often used with predicting our future based on when we were born. You can often find sections about them in muggle newspapers. Some of the things that you read in those newspapers aren't exactly precise." Some of the sections were just plain rubbish, but he wouldn't phrase it like that. Perhaps actually being in a divination class when divining their futures, they would get a more accurate answer. |
LOTS of PINK. PINK EVERYWHERE. Agatha approved. But the way this professor acted was a bit... not normal. Agatha didn't approve too much. Or at all. Snaps? Uh... what? The girl looked around and raised an eyebrow when the teacher told them to snap at people's proud moments and before the woman got through half of them she was ready to stop listening to them. And so she did. Agatha was not snapping at any proud moment because that was a bit rubbish and just sat there looking around, bored. She decided to analyse the pink stuff around, because THAT was pretty and worthy of her attention. Nice flowers and nicely set up table and everything. What a lovely place. And the tea was lovely as well. Just all that SNAPPING was driving Agatha INSANE already. MERLIN. Frowning, the Slytherin went back to paying attention when 'professor Cassie' pointed at a poster. The zodiac signs, Agatha recognised them. She didn't know what the other things were, though. So her attention drifted back at the pretty flowers. |
Quote:
Looking at the chart, the Gryffindor decided to just go with the flow. The sooner it was over the better. "Probably to see which zodiac signs would be a match with each other so they could become a potential boyfriend and girlfriend....which is the MOST stupid thing EVER" ...if she believed in THAT then he was out of here. |
Leah smiled, and cheered when the professor said that she was a Hufflepuff. It was always good to have more Badgers in the school! She was expecting a fun class this day. The second year was already liking this Divination teacher a lot, and it was Valentine's Day. What could be better? Leah now focused on the lesson. She studied the poster carefully. Some difficult words and weird drawings. Raising her hand hesitantly, the girl said, "Um, it's related to love?" Yep, that was all she could figure out. |
Lucy raised her wand:" There are the zodiac signs.. I think there are people with zodiac signs incompatible with each other..The other signs instead are suitable for being togheter.. |
Angel looked at the Professor and raised her hand. "It's supposed to tell you who you are going to be in love with right?" Angel was sure but well she had a funny feeling it was. "It also tells you who you are going to marry." |
SPOILER!!: Wonderful Answers everyone! What great answers everyone had! They were just wonderful she was giving them all happy snaps. “As everyone said in one way or another these are Zodiac signs that go along with Astrology. When you are born you are given a sign based on the day you were born, as well as planet alignment, and rising and ascending signs . These signs could tell us so many things about ourselves. From personality to, like some have mentioned, who we are most compatible with. Muggles mostly use these for horoscopes, but we also do in the wizarding world. They are predictions based on the aligning of planets and your signs. Some say it is a load of rubbish, but I believe otherwise.” She believe in the signs very much so. “Now before we can do anything, you must know your sign and the information around your sign. So we will be making a birth chart first of all. Open your books to page 135 and it will show you all about a birth chart.” She moved pulling out her wand and bringing forward another hand drawn poster. “This is what a birth chart looks like once it is finished.” Pointing towards the chart and then looking back at the students. “Now your chart can be super interesting, but confusing if you don’t know what you are looking for. With all the pieces and different color lines, then the signs and planets. I like to think of it as a pizza with the twelve slices. These slices are houses that help with showing a person’s personality. With me, being a Libra, with my sun sign in the 12th house my personality will be very different than say a person with Libra and the sun sign in the 8th house. So that does mean that two Libra’s are not exactly the same. I know some have said there is no way these signs could be true, because of that reason. The people that say that are only looking at being a Libra, not where their sun sign lies or where any other piece of their birth chart goes.” Lack of knowledge was always why Astrology got such a bad reputation. People only knew signs and not what went into those signs. As she began walking around the room smiling at all the students and Nessa, who she knew she had done many birth charts for in the past, “Now we could work all term on birth charts and finding out all the different things about our personalities. Though for this lesson we are going to be focusing on three things on your birth chart. The Sun, Mars, and Venus, where they are on your chart, and what signs they are in. First though I want you to take parchment and those wonderful crayons that Professor Glendower allowed us to borrow and make your own birth chart.” Wasn’t that exciting! Birth Charts were so fun to make! Everyone should have them! “I’ll give you fifteen minutes to make your chart, use your book to help with the lines. You need to know your birth town and time of birth, so I hope you all are aware of these things.” If not they would have to try and figure them out or come very close to. OOC: Sorry that was a little long! Don't stress out about these charts, it's just fun! Don't hand draw or anything like that. Just use the link to make a birth chart! I'm hoping to make another post before bed tonight! Please make sure the link is sending you to the correct place. It is for me, but I was told it wasn't for someone else. It should take you right to a place that says Birth Data Entry. Once you put the information in scroll clear the the bottom where it says chart drawing, ascendant, click on that and it will bring up your birth chart. |
Benny had looked to the poster and had been clueless though his classmates seemed well-informed in return. At least some of them. He listened to the answered, taken by surprise when he heard what Angel had to say about it and love. The third year reminded of what she had said to him and not able to keep from feeling unsettled, shifting slightly in his seat. Maybe he should have stayed away from this day. The professor spoke again and he tried to focus on her and not glance to Angel. Or even to Adi beside him in case his friend noticed something. Hopefully the topic of birth charts was distracting enough. He opened the text to the directed page, greeted with the information they would need to do as she asked...make their own chart. Oh goodie. The original circle was uncomplicated enough, it was everything else that was daunting. He had a fudge a few things, especially since he wasn't aware of when exactly on August 26th he was born. But eventually he thought he might have gotten the hang of the calculations and the drawing. At least he hoped he had. SPOILER!!: Chart |
It might have looked like Adi was only interested in eating cookies but he was paying attention to Professor Morgan. He just disliked when she (and all Professors in general) spoke so much. sometimes he found it hard to follow. And it didn't help when the Pretty in Red lady held up a complicated looking birth chart. It wasn't the first time he saw one of those. Those were pretty popular in Indian culture. Uh huh. Adi sighed, wondering why in the world Professor Morgan had to choose this topic. As if Valentine's Day wasn't making things complicated already. Trying to avoid looking in AJ's direction at all cost, he prodded Benny lightly on the arm and grinned impishly. "Got your gift for Angel?'' he kidded. Hehe. Flipping open his text book, Adi began to work on his chart. It wasn't that complicated now that he had instructions to follow. He knew the time he was born because his dad often told him he should have been a morning person since he was born at 5.31 AM. Mornings were not really his time of day though. Soon though, his chart was all done. |
question ^^ Frowny face that needs to be turned upside down? "Well, good luck with that" Kevin retorted before he began to play with his hat, obviously ignoring the Professor's words. He waited until she was finished with addressing the other students, occasionally eating a cookie and then looked up again to find out they had to ...draw a chart? MWEEEEEEH..... The boy coughed in his tissue before picking up some of the crayons and flipped the pages of his book until he had the right page in front of him and began to draw. SPOILER!!: birth chart When he was finished, the placed the crayons down and checked his chart. He coughed in again and then raised his hand because he had a question. "Does it matter if i use my real name or my name that was given to me in this country?" he asked. "Cause my real name is Kenji, not Kevin" He had already used Kenji in the chart and he WAS NOT going to make a new one! |
Alright so the professor moved on with the lesson. When she commented on his answer, he smiled. He was glad he got it right. He might have to thank Belle and Mom later. Even his girlfriend got it right kudos to her. But now onto the activity. They had to create their own birth chart. Well he already knew his birthdate. It was December 22. So that was not an issue. He already knew his birthplace too. This seemed easy. He got his crayons and began to draw and make the lines.... SPOILER!!: Kace's Birth Chart He even guessed a little bit on his birth time. He didn't know the exact but he rounded up. No a big issue it seemed. If it was the professor would have mentioned it. Once he put his crayons and admired his drawing, it seemed pretty good to him. He smiled and looked at his fellow friends to see if they were doing well on theirs. Or if his looked remotely similar. |
Emmylou nodded at Professor Morgan, she got an answer right and she was so proud of herself but not only because of that, she was also proud that she was the first one to answer the question. She wasn't one to get responses back from the any of the professors at Hogwarts. The third year would of course answer the questions in most of her classes but only if she knew or had an idea of what the answer was. This was the first time and she just could help but smile so brightly. As she spoke and praised all the other students Emmylou looked over and Kace and smiled because they were both right and it just made her super happy. |
deep this was kind of like arts and crafts but you got to learn more things about yourself.. Opening his book to the page instructed Bay flipped through as he finally made it there. Reading what he needed to do he filled out the information, like his birthdate, location of birth… and all the rest of the nifty information. once he had everything he made his chart. SPOILER!!: Bay's Chart it looked so professional so all Bay did was smile. Awesome.. now he wondered what they were going to be doing with this chart.. starring at it, he waited for more instructions. |
Lex? O__________O Eyes widening, Lux was tempted to correct Professor Morgan about using the incorrect name, but decided against it. Maybe later she could deal with the issue, but right now it would seem rude maybe. For the moment she would live with being referred to by the wrong name, and it wasn't as if Lex was THAT far off from Lux. Birth Charts sounded pretty interesting even if she didn't really buy into all this Astrology stuff. It made no sense to her how when she was born and the position of planets could influence her personality and dictate her future. But school work was school work and she was a little curious to see just how much would be coincidentally accurate. Opening her textbook to the correct page, Lux started to fill out her chart using pretty coloured crayons. Maybe crayons were generally for muggle children, but drawing was fun. Finished, she looked at her work, pleased as to how it had turned out. SPOILER!!: Lux's Birth Chart |
Okay, when she spoke about the whole telling who your match thing is, she was referring to a horoscope type thing. AJ had seen her mum reading that on the computer one time. What she saw now was a confusing looking chart. Flipping to the correct page AJ just stared for a moment. She wondered for a moment if these kind of things can be true. The first year was not one to put too much stock into horoscopes or anything. Picking up her crayons she began to work on her chart. Scribble, scribble, scribble. Done. If it was right or not she couldn't be sure. SPOILER!!: Chart |
When it came to drawing, Dec was all for it and such, but understanding what astrology was all about, eh not so much. His sister was a big fan of divination, but he was more of an Astronomy kind of guy. He wanted facts, not predictions. However, he couldn't afford to fail any classes, so off to actually try. After a few minutes of drawing circles and lots of lines, his chart ended up looking like this: SPOILER!!: Chart! All he could see was the perfect diamond in the middle and lot of other different shapes and symbols. Declan guessed the diamond meant he was as bright as a diamond or something? Uhhhhh...this was going to be something. |
Uh making their own birth charts? That's sounds both complicated and way too difficult.. Zander looked back over at his two Slytherin friends (Simon and Ethan). Was this for real? Did they actually have to make one of those? Realizing that his fifteen minutes were almost up, the Gryffindor decided to give the birth chart thing a try after all. After a bunch of scribbling and erasing and more scribbling he finally came up with something that look a little coherent. SPOILER!!: Chaaart At least they weren't snapping anymore? |
One look at the birth chart told him all he needed to know: that it was confusing and if he ended up leaving here without a headache, it would be a freaking miracle. Having flipped his textbook to the right page, Grayson stared down at the chart, his eyebrows furrowed. What did all of this MEAN?! How was he meant to understand any of this? None of it made sense. He even tried to flip the textbook upside down in an attempt to understand it all but did it help? No. All it did was make him look like a loony to anyone who wa looking his way. Great. Just great. Flippin his textbook back the right way, the Slytherin stares at it some more. Fine. Whatever. He was going to draw this and include all the information that was required from him. Which, apparently, included his place of birth? Ipswich was freaking BORING. Nothing even HAPPENED there. He'd much rather have been born in an exciting place. One that was BUZZING. But noooOOOOoooo! Picking up a crayon, he started drawing somethig or another onto his piece of parchment. SPOILER!!: Birth chart Done. Now he can go back to scowling at the balloons while he waited for an explanation about all of this. And were those cookies? |
So they were going to be creating their own birth chart. Birth Chart? Cris remembered coming across something like this when he happened to be browsing a magazing on birth signs. He wondered whether the birth chart was the same as the Natal Chart. So he raised his hand to ask the Professor. "Professor is the Birth Chart the same as what some people refer to as the Natal Chart?" Cris was curious to know, even as he turned to Page 135 in his book and read how he was supposed to go about doing one. He scribbled down his name, birthdate, the place he was born and yes he even know what time he was born. 10 points for curiosity. Then looking up at the example Professor Morgan had shown them, Cris began drawing out his birthchart. SPOILER!!: Birth Chart What this all meant, Cris suspected that Professor Morgan would explain. |
Mack stared at the book as it explained how to draw the birth chart. "What the-" The blonde looked around at some of the other students who were busy drawing, and she looked back down at her blank paper then the book again. Once again she read the lesson on how to create this chart and began to draw slowly.. Carefully making the circle as perfect as possible. Mackenzie smiled as she finished the circle, and went to work on the rest grinning broadly once she was finished. SPOILER!!: chart |
It helped a little bit that the professor explained astrology to a greater degree, since Mo specifically objected to it for the exact reason that she expressed - how could everyone in the same sign be the same? Maybe this little exercise, with crayons and circles and lines, would open up the world just a LITTLE bit. Even a little bit would be an improvement. Mo flipped open his book and studied the instructions closely before grabbing the first crayon and getting to work. It was complicated and colorful and very very bright, and Mo wasn't sure he had any idea what it meant, but at least he had a finished product. |
Birth Charts sounded pretty sweet! Of course when the Gryffindor had flipped open to the page she just blinked. But yeah it looked cool. Wait what? Professor say what? They had to make one... By themselves!! Nooooooo... She wasn't even good at normal non coloring stuff. Sighing she grabbed some crayons and started to fill out her chart. She better not mess up. Finished, she looked down at her work, and nodded she had down welll. She was pleased that she hadn't in fact messed up. SPOILER!!: Chart |
... For a moment Lex just stared at Professor Smiles. She...didn't really see what was so unprofessional about having an opinion on astrology. It was like her saying Arithmancy was rubbish--which she did--just an opinion. "Er.....he did Professor and does...sometimes in lessons when people confuse the two. He isn't disrespecting anyone's subject or Profession on account of Astrology not being a Profession nor a subject." Though she did suppose it could be covered in Divination like it was now but still, Airey was only stating that planets lining up didn't influence the way you behaved. There was just too much science involved for it to be real. "And I don't think he'd appreciate what you're implying as a result of his opinion." Just saying. Airey fell into favourite territory and Lex might have given the Professor the wrong impression about him. NOT what she was trying to do and she didn't think she liked where Professor Smiles was going. Lex slumped forward on the table, trying to remind herself not to take it so seriously while she munched on a severed heart. They tasted better broken, was she the only one who noticed? All the love seeped out and gone somewhere else, truly lovely. While chewing she vaguely listened to what the Professor was on about and found herself proving herself right. It couldn't be real. Months and days had nothing to do with the person she was. They couldn't. There was no explanation except the planets aligned so it must be true. She wasn't a Ravenclaw but she couldn't accept that. What she COULD do was the chart, which she did. |
Jasmine opened her book with excitement. She thought it would be fun to make her own birth chart. She was curious to see what kind of information she could get from that. Not that she was 100% buying the zodiac thing, but she wanted to see if the information reflected what she thought of herself. Jasmine wrote down the necessary information and began to work on her chart. Could all of these lines and circles and numbers actually tell something about her? She would have to wait and see. Looking down at her work, Jasmine was satisfied.......confused, but satisfied. SPOILER!!: Jasmine's Birth chart |
Cinna just beamed at the professor. She sure did know her divination. Yep yep. As she continued to talk Cinna nodded her head at some of the points she had made. Mostly about people like her dad for one thought astrology was rubbish. Dads were dumb like that sometimes. The third year pulled out her book and flipped to page 193? Oh yeah there it was. Birth charts. She looked up from the book to the poster. She listened to professor Morgan as she talked about her birth chart. PIZZA! Man why did she have to mention pizza. Focus. Divination time now. Pizza later. Oh Professor Morgan was a Libra? Cool. Cinna was a Taurus. She knew that of courses she know that. Alright drawing time! This lesson couldn't get any better. Okay maybe it could. The Gryffindor got right to work on her birth chart. Luckily she knew all of the answers to the questions asked? Even the time she was born. Taking the parchment and crayons she drew out her birth chart. Once she was done she held the parchment up proud of how it turned out. So pretty and astrology-like. SPOILER!!: |
That woman was saying so many things Agatha could barely follow. Besides, it was all quite boring too. The Slytherin thought it might be real though, otherwise they wouldn't be taught such things at Hogwarts. That didn't make any of that more interesting and that crazy looking chart didn't help either. But she followed all the instructions on page 135 closely and came up with a chart. Text Cut: Parchment What an odd thing. The third year wondered if she had done it right and tried looking at other classmates' work, but they all looked strange as well. She had a strange feeling about this subject AND she was a bit suspicious of the snaps. What was that teacher trying to do? Hypnotise them or something? Agatha narrowed her eyes a bit and watched the professor. What a weird woman. |
Simon nodded in agreement with the really nice Professor. Mhmm he thought. Reading those horoscopes were sort of fun Then the Professor instructed them to turn to page 135 in their textbooks. He eyed the textbook and jotted down some notes. Now they had to replicate that chart? Simon gulped. Oh boy. He wasn't exactly a good artist (nor was he a bad one either) and was very shy when it came to showing off his work. Simon glanced around the room briefly and made eye contact with Zander. He gave his friend a worried look as well before shrugging his shoulders. They'd make it through wouldn't they? He picked up a crayon and started drawing. Scribble. Scribble. In the end, he had somewhat replicated the chart sort of well. He didn't understand what the chart at the bottom left meant, but he was sure that the Professor would explain everything next. SPOILER!!: chart |
Beverly nodded and jotted down a few important points here and there. Opening her book, she took her SWEET OLE time getting to page 135. Page ten... Page 19... Page 35... Page 47... Page 61... Page 73... Page 82... Page 98... Page 110... Page 117... Page 126...Page 132... And finally, page 135. Skimming through it her head whipped up once pizza was mentioned. WHAT? WHERE? She wanted it ALL. Oh--wait. BOO. Professor Morgan was using it as an example. There really wasn't any pizza. Welp. Disappointment of the day right THERE. She'd get pizza later, that she was certain of. For now, though, there was this birth chart thing to focus on. Snatching the box of crayons, she glanced back at the book, then at her parchment. Then back at her book. It went like that as she worked along. Book, parchment, draw, and repeat. Then masterpiece. BOOM! |
Interesting. Cassia jotted down the new information. She wasn't sure they ever studied the or talked about the zodiac signs in detail. Surely it must have been mentioned before but it was good to know all what was there to know. Flipping her book open to page 135, the snake examined the page closely while still listening to what Professor Morgan was saying. She could do that, mhhm. And it seemed that this lesson wasn't a dull and theoretical one but they were actually going to do stuff already. That was fun. Having got a parchment out already she only needed to snatch a couple of crayons and she was ready to start making this birth chart. She LIKED working with crayons and drawing stuff. Though here she had to follow instructions and be careful. This was going to determine personality stuff. It had to be done perfectly. She wasn't sure how much it took her to finish it, but since the professor hadn't said time was over, it surely meant that the fifteen minutes didn't run out. And she was finished! SPOILER!!: Cassia's Birth Chart |
Michael stared at the Professor as she went on about Valentines Day and how they all should love each other and if his eyebrows raised any higher they would no longer be on his forehead. And what was with the snaps? The Professor ought to be proud that he was still sitting in his chair because Michael had the strong desire to get up and leave. And his parents wondered why he skived off classes. Anyhoo since it looked like he was going to stay, he flicked to page 135 of his textbook and he had to refrain from rolling his eyes. He could already tell that this was going to be boring work. But after reading through the text, he picked up the crayons and began drawing his chart. |
The Birth Chart : it's wonderful!! Lucy opened her book and writed her name, her birthdate, the place and the Time of her birth..She was born at two o' clock.. Done! Birth Chart OOC: Sorry for the symbol of Ravenclaw..A little mistake!!! |
Heh, Leah was correct! Well, she did not give much information, but at least she was right. Professor Cassie spoke again and she focused once again. Love, it was a wonderful topic. She opened her book gingerly to the directed page and skimmed it. Making their own chart. Yay, that was fun! Making stuff was always fun for the Badger. Indeed, the completed birth chart looked like a pizza. It was interesting, but very confusing. Leah hoped that her drawing was correct or at least close. This was difficult. SPOILER!!: Birth Chart |
Ohhh...UGH. This sounded hard. This was why Sophie hated Divination, Ancient Runes, and Arithmancy. None of it made sense--absolutely none of it. She flipped to the correct page in her textbook and just stared at it. So what they were doing today, in other words, was finding out which types of people they were compatible with... Freaky. What if Sophie found out she was compatible with some weirdo? Ew. Anyway... Sophie set to work trying to complete her chart. She had no clue what she was doing, but meh. Every once in a while, she glanced up to see that most of the class looked like they were already done. ARGH. She scribbled quickly but carefully and was finally able to come up with a chart. |
...Is it reaaalll, is it just fantaaasssyyy? He wanted to sing for some reason as the professor gave out SNAPS and her next instruction. Even if his answer wasn't acknowledged, he believed it still has something to do with their fates. Or maybe not? Oh, Merlin, he will never understand this subject, ever. But hey they were going to draw and stuff! He caught Zander's worried look then turned to Simon too and gave them a shrug. The earlier they get this done, the faster they'll be out of the pink room. That's the plan, right? Ethan got his Divination book and turned to page 135, only to deadpan at the drawing. They were going to make that?? Merlin, where is Mordred when you need him? He was the artsy guy in the family. Sighing but grinning, Ethan took one of the crayons from the box and started to draw with his tongue sticking out in concentration. Let's do this. Doodle, doodle, doodle. And...tadaaaaaah! Not the best drawing out there, but this will do, right? |
Cassie walked around excited to see all the wonderful work the students were doing. She snapped a few times as she moved around. "Wonderful just wonderful all of you." They made her happy to see how busy they were, but of course there would be questions, she had been expecting this. Quote:

Glancing at her once more she just smiled, "I'm not sure he'd appreciate a student being distracting in a classroom by trying to say he doesn't like the subject either Miss Cambridge." Turning her attention towards the other students she moved towards the front of the room again. Once in the front of the room again and seeing everyone finishing up she pulled out a picture. "Now we will get to some fun soon, but I just want to do a small over view of your birth charts, because some." Glances at Miss Cambridge "Seem to have a very poor misunderstanding for the subject of Astrology. So I'd like to show you a bit of how your birth chart is made up. If you look at your chart you can see the slices I was talking about that look like a pizza. These are the wheel of houses. It shouldn't be confused by the Zodiac Wheel, they are two different things. The Zodiac Wheel is based on the earths rotation around the sun, where as the house wheel is based on the twenty four hour rotation on it's own axis. If you look for the sun sign which looks like this. The sun represents are egos or better yet what others will see about us. . So depending on which house your sun lies in will be some of your major traits. Now to find which house it is in. Look here, see where my sun is, now move to the center. you will see little numbers 1-12 in the center. These are the house number. So my sun is in the 12th house." She glanced around to see if they understood. "Now that isn't all that makes us up, so that's why you can't just take someones sign and combine them with all other Pieces or whatever sign they are in. You can't just combine them all with people that have a sun in the fifth house either. You must look at the sun, moon, and other planets and how they are aligned in the houses. The moon for example is the inner person. The moon sign looks like this. This will tell more of what inner traits you carry. Again we will look for the moon, then go down and see which number. If you look on mine you will see the moon is in the 10th house." Sticking the two pictures up near the zodiac poster, Cassie turned excitedly towards the class. "Now before we get into why we are doing this on Valentine's day, why don't you take a moment and look up your sun and moon and then check with your book what house it is in and what that means." Thinking for a moment she moved towards Mo's book and leaned down a second. "Do you mind?" without waiting for him to answer she flipped the page then flipped back to the chart for him. "Thank you." Standing up and looking at the class again. "Page 138 has the sun signs in the houses and 140 has the moon signs in the houses. Just go ahead and take a moment, see what your sun and moon say about you. " Checking her watch she figured this little add in wouldn't hurt their time. Some needed to know more about Astrology, so she was using this teachable moment. OOC: *sighs* Steven's extra clingy since mommy came back home is making it hard for me to get a morning and night post in. So hopefully that will change soon! You guys are doing great, just have them react to their signs don't need to make a tone of notes or anything like that. If your charrie doesn't want! I swear these are all not going to be this long! She got winded, because she's so passionate about this subject!!! |
Looking at his Birth Chart he noticed that his sun was in the first house.. well according to his book.. So.. he read the paragraph under the first house thingy.. which told him how his ego was.. hmmmm "my sun is in the first house" he said to himself. "important to myself.. but also cares about others.. blah blah.. ermm.. wants to be noticed and shine.. well thats not to bad.." he kept reading to himself and then he looked for his moon. "and my moon is…..the fifth" as he looked down to make sure.. yupp the fifth. now he read that to himself as well. "wow this was crazy it didn't seem like him at all.. and what was all this children talk about.." he eyeballed the page… "romances… mood swings.. what???" he was glad he wasn't saying this out loud because it was pretty crazy stuff. |
More snapping. Ethan had to duck his head as he hid his grin from everyone else including Simon and Zander. The boy wondered about how they are coping with this…snapping thing. He had to bite his lip though when he thought of Grayson’s facial reaction earlier. Merlin, that boy IS funny. Inhaling, he contained his grin-slash-smile and concentrated on what was now…going on in front. Okay, so basically this is a…get-to-know-yourself better part now, eh? Okay. This should be interesting. It wouldn’t hurt to know more about himself, no? Ethan got his book again and flipped to the next page and looked at the chart he made. The chart says that his Sun is located on the Third House, and it says there: Quote:

Okay, so they needed to find their Sun and Moon symbols and see what House they were in? That seemed nice, but this talk of pizza was making her really hungry. Aaah. Grabbing another cookie, Lux looked towards her chart trying to find that circle with another circle in the middle. There it is... In the First House. Now what did that mean? Flipping to the right page of her textbook, she read the description and blinked. This doesn't describe me at all... When did she ever think more about herself than others? Very rarely! And she was definitely not power-seeking. O_o Shaking her head at the inaccuracy of her Sun, Lux moved along to looking for her Moon. Okay, that was an easy one to find: it was in the Tenth House. Turning to the correct page, she read up on what that meant. I'm not that fussed with achievement and what others think of me... But she did have charisma, and she did desire to be useful. So that was at least something. |
Mention Jasmine Cris studied his birth chart before leaning over to peek at Jasmine's. Then he smiled at her before pulling his over to show his birth chart to her. "Looks like my sun sign is in my 3rd house, while my moon sign falls in the 12th house. Let's see what this means," Cris quickly flipped to Page 138 to read what it said for his sun sign. Text Cut: Sun sign in the 3rd House Okay...some of the traits sounded positive while others...hmmm...He wasn't impatient and proud...was that how people saw him? Cris hoped not. Cris quickly turned to page 140 of his book, hoping that the position the moon sign was on his birth chart represented something better. Text Cut: Moon Sign in the 12th House Egad! this didn't sound better either. Cris looked desperately at Jasmine. His moon sign made him sound like a matyr. Plus that issue with his mother. He loved his mother, and would worry if anything were to happen to her, but it was actually his father who was causing him the distress right now. So yes, that sounded inaccurate. How much else was? |
Again. Sooo much talking. But Adi tried to hang on to every word. So far he was pleased with his progress in the lesson and he did not intend to screw that effort up. He turned to the page in the text book that dealt with the sun and houses first. The Sun was in the first House: Quote:

Pizza... mmm. She could go for some of that right about now. Pizza complimented cookies well if you asked her. Speaking of cookies, the first year picked up another one and popped it into her mouth while she looked back at the Picking out the symbols were easy enough. She found the one that symbolized the sun and noted that sun was in the second house. That one did kind of describe her well. Moving on to the moon, she noted that it was in the eleventh house. "PFFFT!" came out of her mouth before she could stop it. That didn't sound like her at all. She had always had more guys friends than girls, but that did kind of change once she got to Hogwarts. |
