Dervish and Banges is a small, dusky little outlet located at the end of the street in Hogsmeade. Squatting between a few wooden pillars painted to look like marble, the green and gold building seems to be more of a remodeled mausoleum than a Wizarding place of business. As you enter the hideous, peeling green door and inhale the thick scent of sawdust and mildew, you'll likely question whether or not the shop actually was a mausoleum at some point.
Squeaky floorboards, musty smells, and creepy feelings aside, the place may appear to be in an eternal state of decay, but the sagging shelves stocked full of shiny, brand or like-new knickknacks say otherwise. The shop sells both new and reconditioned items of both the Wizard and Muggle variety, such as...
Do-It-Yourself Cauldron Repair Kits (or for a fee, D&B will do it for you!)
Take your time, walk around, pick up one of the coupons off the back counter, and try to not be intimidated by that looming shopkeeper just behind it at the back. He doesn't talk much, but he's got it where it counts, kid. Oh, and don't steal anything. Roundhouse kicks to the face are not fun....for you.

It would have been logical if Josephina had arranged to meet her husband at the Hog's Head or Three Broomsticks, or even Puddifoot's. But alas, logic had never been a part of Josephina's life even if she was married to one of the most logical people she knew. Not to mention at any of those places there were far too many students and colleagues around. The last thing she wanted was eavesdroppers at her personal affairs.
So as inconspicuously as possible, the Muggle Studies Professor slipped off down the dingy street and headed to a certain shop she knew no one would bother them. But judging from the empty aisles, maybe someplace filled with more people would have been less obvious. Oops. Again, no logic. Besides she already arranged to meet with him and he likely saw her headed in here by herself, along with everyone else.

Being the open-minded person he was, and the consentious husband he was trying to be Addison had left picking their weekend meet-up to his wife. However he wasn't fully expecting Dervish and Banges to be on the list of possibilities, let alone the ultimate location they ended up with. Nevertheless, the former Ravenclaw wondered on the reasoning and let it be, leaving the comfort of Diagon Alley in a blink of apparition for the...almost depressing tone of the shop as he was deposited close outside.
Approaching the door and escaping the crowds of students and young people, the cursebreaker pulled it open with a creak and stepped inside. It was clear from the inside, Addison wouldn't have trouble finding Fina, if she was here yet. She would be the only one inside. Other than the shopkeeper of course, wherever he or she was. And sure enough he spotted her and approached with a smile. "Now what brings a woman like you to a place like this?" he asked nonchallantly as he revealed his presence.

Hearing the door to the shop creak open, the brunette stood on her toes and peeked over the shelves to see who it was... just hoping it wasn't one of her students. Not that she expected them to follow her, but you never know. After all, she told only one person of her planned meeting here - the person she was meeting.
And good. It was him.
A small smile found its way to her expression as she looked up at him with an air of innocence. "Why not?" She answered simply. Puddifoots or the Hogs Head were too overrated anyway.

Why not?
There was the simple answer...the look of innocence. Both things he was familiar with coming from Josephina. And it was fine by Addison, it was the little things that added up and pulled him to her when he fell in love. Life's small intricicies that made up his work still with both numbers and curses.
"One might either think you're ashamed of me," he mused with a raised eyebrow as he moved closer. "Or a spy," the cursebreaker added in a whisper as he leaned in to reach just her ear. His face breaking into a amused smirk. It was a rather clandestine area to meet up but then again also quite private for two such as them to have moments alone. He wouldn't have to share his wife with her students.

He wasn't surprised by her answer. But then again, after over four years of knowing each other, he shouldn't be, either?
She shook her head slowly to both those things he dared to suggest and took a step towards him, whispering. "Or maybe ... just maybe ... I wanted alone time with a handsome cursebreaker. Someplace least likely to be interrupted." You know, just a possibility. With the Hog's Head open to students now, it was hardly a place to be private. Glancing around the deserted shop a moment, she then reached up and kissed him.

Out off all the places to buy a rememberall why had her grandmother sent her to Dervish and Banges in Hogsmeade?
That was something Izabela was trying to figure out as she stood amongst the shelves in the small dusky outlet peering at the shelves trying to find the rememberall section. Only upside to this whole outing was the possibility of running into her friend Tessa.
They had grown close exchanging letters since their meeting in Diagon Alley.

Addison could almost see the wheels going in her head as he awaited the reaction to his suggestions. They both knew she wasn't trying to hide him and that he had the more spy-like job out of the two of them. But it was fun to play around. They had only these rare moments outside of the summer to enjoy each other. The shake of the head confirmed his thoughts and he listened intently to her own whisperings.
"Well that certainly works," he said the smirking toning down to a pleased smile. "Good thing I'm a cursebreaker then," he added, leaving the handsome up to interpretation. Following her gaze around the near-abandoned shop, Addison met up with his wife once more as Fina initiated the kiss. The man deepening it somwhat to give a proper hello. "Hi."

They had grown close exchanging letters since their meeting in Diagon Alley.
Tessa was wandering around Hogsmeade, just trying to get a good look at the place when she came across a store that she hadn't visited yet. She peeked her head in and decided that it was worth further exploring- after all, no matter how things appeared, you never knew what could be found.
She brushed back her now grey hair- which still had her colored highlights, of course- and tried to ignore the protest of all the joints involved. She moved further into the shop, looking around at all the trinkets that lined the shelf when she saw...
"BELA!" she exclaimed, and ignoring all of her aches, she bounced over to the other girl. "I was hoping I would see you- not necessarily here," she indicated the store. "But somewhere around! How are you?" she asked with a bright grin.

Standing on her tiptoes or kneeling on the floor Bela searched her away across the aisle for the shiny rememberalls. They were nowhere in sight. Trying to not be discouraged she kept searching high and low. Bela was not giving up. There was no way she was going back to her grandma's empty handed.
Hearing her name Bela spun on the spot. Eyes widening into saucers she took a few hesitant step’s forwards. "Tessa?" she asked tentatively. Was this really her friend? This person had grey hair and wrinkles and well looked elderly. It sounded like Tessa and she bounced like her and she had her highlights but it just didn’t add up. "What has happened to you?"

Tessa's smile faltered slightly at Bela's question. She had gotten so used to her grey hair and her wrinkles- not just on her, but on everyone else, she had begun to forget that it wasn't normal. Sure, she complained about it, and there were days where everything just hurt... but this really hit home how unusual this all was.
"I... I have no idea," she said, her voice cracking slightly as she looked down at her hands. "It's been a very strange year- for everyone at Hogwarts," she said with a sigh. "And believe it or not, I'm one of the lucky ones," she said with a wry smile.
"So... how are you?" she asked, feeling slightly- dare she say it- shy? This whole old age thing had really thrown her off.

"I didn't mean to upset you," Bela quickly blurted out an apology as she strode over to Tessa’s side anxiously trying to put words to her reaction. "It's just so surprising to see you in the flesh. I didn't really believe what you described in your letters-" She trailed off as she reached out to squeeze her friends left arm in an act of sympathy.
Tessa appearance had just shocked her. "Have you told your parents?" She must have. This couldn't be normal. It looked like Tessa had aged like 70 years in just a year it was worrying. Shrugging Bela said with a smile "I’m fine. Life at Durmstrang goes on. It seems more eventful at Hogwarts." And not in a good way.
Justine walked wearily into Dervish and Banges, the place looked like it ought to be condemned, and it smelled a bit like mildew and something else she couldn't quite put her finger on, but all the same it did not deter the young French girl as she made her way through the shop in search of a.... Wait, what had she been looking for again? Oh right, a remembrall. She rolled her eye's at her own forgetful nature, really for in Ravenclaw she could just be so absent-minded sometimes.
Justine sneezed quietly as she approached the shelf on which the remembralls and a variety of other items sat. It was on one of the higher shelves, she supposed it was so that the younger children couldn't easily get to them. Standing on tip-toe, she just managed to grab the clear little orb of glass with a small exclamation of "Gotcha!"
With a grin at the little orb, Justine decided to traipse around the rest of the shop, she had no where else to be anyway, might as well have a look around.

Tessa offered Bela a small smile. "It's just- Hogwarts is so separated from the outside world. It's easy to forget that," she explained with a sigh. "And then, things like this happen," she said- indicating her grey hair and wrinkle. She didn't even mention her joint pain- she was sure that she had told Bela about that in letters.
"I saw my father at Christmas... he was a bit distracted. I could tell him in my letters, but I don't know if he would pick up on it," she explained with a sigh. It was unfortunate, but she was used to it. HEr mom would have been right on it- if she were still alive.
"Yes, Hogwarts is definitely in a league of its own," she said with a soft laugh. "They do so many things differently here. Besides this whole thing," she indicated herself again, "I would have to say it's almost as exciting as a Quidditch game," she said with a soft laugh. "So, how come I've found you in here? Do you need help looking for something?" she asked.

Bela frowned. "Isolated? It can’t be more isolated than Durmstrang is." But fair point strange things like grey hair and wrinkles didn't happen at Durmstrang unless someone ended up on the bad end of a spell mishap or a faulty potion.
Making huge eyes Bela impulsively reached out and hugged her friend. "I'm so sorry. I would have thought your father of all people would have picked up on your new appearance." No parent should be that distracted that they didn’t even notice big changes in their only child's appearance that was sad.
"What kinds of things are different at Hogwarts?" Bela asked curiously. Getting excited she bounced up and down "You've got to play in a quidditch game for Gryffindor?" she was so envious. If only she wasn’t a reserve.
Looking around the shelves Bela sighed. "I'm here to buy a rememberall for my grandmother. Want to help me look?"

Marigold was taking a break from the weather outside and decided to step into a shop. Yeah, this one probably wasn't the best choice. There were only a couple other people here, and she didn't think she recognized any of them. Turning a corner around a pair, she accidentally walked into a girl holding a glass ball.
"WHOOPS! Oh, I'm sorry!" she said quickly. She was SUCH a clutz sometimes.

As Justine was walking through the shop, minding her own business, remembrall held tightly in hand, she very suddenly jostled by a small body bumping into her, in the girl's surprise, she had jumped and nearly dropped her newly accrued glass orb.
Justine gasped, but then sighed with relief before turning her attention to the apologizing girl.
"It is alright, no 'arm done," Justine said, tossing the remembrall up into the air,and deftly catching it before it hit the round. "I Zhink I 'ave seen you before? You are a.... 'Ufflepuff, yes?" Justine said, in her clear french accent.
Yes, she had definitely seen the younger girl around school, though she could not remember her name... Mary? Marion? Marcy? No, that wasn't it.

It better work. Cause if it didn't, then she might have made a mistake in this marriage. Smiling when he kissed her back she pulled back, looking him into the eyes.
"Good thing you're a handsome cursebreaker, you mean," Fina clarified. Because even if HE wasn't going to say it, she was.
Taking his hand, she smiled subtly. "So ... Mister Nairne, what's on the agenda? Now that you've found me."

Looking around the shelves Bela sighed. "I'm here to buy a rememberall for my grandmother. Want to help me look?"
Tessa shrugged. "True, I've never been to Durmstrang," she said with a smile. "But most of the other schools I've attended have been a little closer to some sort of city or towns." That had been part of the fun, being able to pop into the muggle world every now and then, since her father tended to stay in more remote parts of the world.
"Well..." she offered a small smile. "Sometimes he notices things. Other times, he gets really wrapped up in his work," she explained. "It's always been that way." She returned the hug Bela gave her. Sure, she had dreamed of an attentive father, someone that asked how things were or offered advice the first time she asked, she had even dreamed about staying at one school instead of all the transferring. But that wasn't her life, and she had accepted that.
"Well, the atmosphere itself is different. This is the oldest school I've been to, and you can just feel the magic in the air. And I really enjoy the PRofessors- I have yet to run into one I don't like, and that NEVER happens for me," she said with a laugh. "And I really like the flying Professor. I've learned a lot, not to mention I've done a lot of my own training," although that had laxed in the recent months due to her condition. "Yes I have!" she said proudly, beaming at her friend. "How is Durmstrang? Have you gotten to play at all?" she asked.
"Sure! What aisles have you already been down?" she asked, looking around for any sign of the object.

"Sure! What aisles have you already been down?" she asked, looking around for any sign of the object.
"Really?" Bella asked surprised. "There is no big town around here just the Hogsmeade village close to the school? So you can’t go in to town and watch a movie at the theatre or something?" It was the same where Durmstrang was situated but Bela didn’t mention that. Maybe magical schools had to be located in remote muggle areas to avoid having to explain all the magic and strange occurrences going on around a school with hundreds of student’s right?
Shrugging she focused on what Tessa was saying about her father. "I’m sorry." She repeated simply. What else was there to say? Bela couldn’t do much about her friend’s father being inattentive and careless. The best she could think of was to focus on other things. "Wow, you like all your professors? They must be amazing?" She said immediately envious. "I don’t like half of my professors as much as I hoped I would do."
Shrugging she grimaced. "Durmstrang is all right but I don’t get to play much quidditch. I’m just a reserve." So Bela could play if someone was out sick or injured otherwise she just sat in the stands and watched just like the rest of the school. Pointing to the aisles to the left and right she said "I’ve searched high and low in these aisles to no luck. So maybe we should try another aisle?"
Kace decided it was time to explore one of the stores he had not been into in a while. When he opened the door, he smelt the familiar smell. He really wanted to get like a sneakoscope to tell if someone is lying. As he made his way to the shelves he noticed they were high up there. But in this case, he was tall! He could finally reach! He got one down and then saw his eyes on the omnioculars!
He went over to look at them. He even began to tried one out. He knew these were used for Quidditch World Cup purposes.

Zander walked into the creepy store with a certain glint in his eyes. Exploring this place was really fun! He hadn't ever been to Hogsmeade before and there was something exciting about all these new shops and places to test out. But this shop probably interested him the most. Mainly because it looked so abandoned and all mysterious. But either way he was really just looking for something new to see.
He walked along the shelves and ran his finger down them as he looked at the names of the objects for sale. Such a wide variety. Lifting his finger he noticed the layer of dust that had found home on his hands. Ew. He quickly rubbed it off on his pants and as he looked up he noticed another student standing nearby. "Erm... Hi?" he said looking up at the kid curiously. Zander wasn't really expecting anyone else to be in here... He was actually kind of hoping he'd be alone. But eh, maybe conversation wouldn't hurt.

Hi?" he said looking up at the kid curiously. Zander wasn't really expecting anyone else to be in here... He was actually kind of hoping he'd be alone. But eh, maybe conversation wouldn't hurt.
As Kace was looking at his sneakoscope, he noticed another guy was here. He looked over and nodded towards him. "Sup?" he asked the guy. "You looking at sneakoscopes too? You feel like someone untrustworthy is around?" he asked with a grin. He needed to add some humor in this convo right?

Sneakoscope? What's that? Zander raised an eyebrow at the mention of this so called "sneakoscope". "Uh, no, I'm just looking around," he said sheepishly. "Are YOU looking for a sneakothingy?" Someone untrustworthy? What was this guy talking about.... Uh hum. yeah, maybe Dervish and Banges wasn't the best choice for exploring...

"Ah i see.." he nodded. "Well this is an interesting shop to look around in." he agreed with him. "So you are at Hogwarts right..?" he asked him. He had seen him around briefly in classes but never introduced himself. "I mean I have seen you around but only in classes.." he said still looking through the shelves. He grinned when he knew what he was talking about. "Yeah this is a sneakothingy as you call it. Apparently it is triggered when someone is untrustworthy around..." he said and he saw it lit up. He cocked his eyebrow at him. "Have you done something wrong?"
