Cris had been busy practising that he didn't even know they were actually going after the things that Professor Romanos was throwing up in the air. So he aimed for the Cornish Pixies. What the heck!

"Impedimenta," he called out as he flicked his wand horizontally and O_o those darn pixies were fast. Missed.

So he was going to try again.

........................ So the pixie got away.

Grayson scowled a little as he watched the pixie fly away. Look at the gleeful look on its stupid face. It was probably going to go towards the other pixies and say that it was victorious in its fight against a great human. Er, no. No, that was definitely not what was meant to happen. He was meant to be stopping them in mid-air.

Gleeful cackling from the pixie and..................

............................... he was getting kisses blown at him from the creature.

Freaking pixies.

The Slytherin narrowed his eyes at the tiny creature and aimed his wand at it. Come ooooooooon....... move AWAY from that chocolate frog and hop over here. He wanted to stop something in its tracks, especially since people had done so already. Especially Lux with the tennis ball. MAN. "Impedimenta!"

And will you look at his luck. The chocolate frog was frozen in mid-air but the pixie? The pixie cackled even harder and flew away. Great. Just great.

Well this lesson suddenly got interesting. First things first though, she needed to practice. The spell was a larger word and apparently it was very important to say it just right. Without her wand AJ practiced the spell a few times. "Impedimenta!" Not sure if it was coming out right or not, she decided to break it down. "Im..ped..im..en..ta." Maybe that was broke down too much? "Impedimenta." She had it... most likely anyways.

Now picking up her wand she did the quick flicking motion really quickly just to say that she had done it. Time didn't really need to be spent on that one considering it was so easy.

Chocolate frogs? YUM! What was a pixie? Oh goodness... everything was coming out at once and AJ immediately put her game face on.

This looked a lot harder than it sounded... And it was a lot harder than it looked....

Zander pointed his wand towards a collection of objects, not aiming towards one in particular. "Impedamenta!"

Uhum. Yeah. Maybe he needed to consider picking a target... Because his spell did nothing...

Cris eyes darted back and forth as he kept his eyes on the Cornish pixie he was aiming for. 'You can't fly away from me forever,' Cris thought to himself, as he tracked the pixie with his wand.

Back...forth...up...down...right...left...up...

"Impedimenta" Cris called out as he flicked his wand sideways.

The beam of light headed straight for the Pixie and hit it squarely on its legs and it immediaty froze in mid-air.

Guess the legs do count too, Cris chuckled to himself.

Moving on to next target. Ahhh...some chocolate frogs.

Were those... CHOCOLATE FROGS!? Zander had just spotted a pair of them jumping along and the Gryffindor's eyes almost popped out of his head. MUST. GET. THE. FROGS.

They were his absolute favorite thing of all time. Maybe if he successfully impedimenta-ed them, Romanos would let him eat them? "IMPED-A-MENTA!" The third year pointed his wand at one of the two and let out a small sigh of disappointment as it got away unharmed. Hmph. They were so fast? Almost unusually fast.

He lifted his wand up in the air once again. He was determined to get at least one by the end of the lesson. "IMPED-A-MENTA!" he tried once more.

GOTCHA!

He had finally hit his desired target and BAM! Chocolate frog, frozen. Zander ran over to the candy in mention and grabbed it while it was stopped in the air. "Professor, can we eat the frogs?" PLEEEAASEEE? Puppy dog eyes into action!

Whaaaaaat was going on? All of the sudden, there were things flying EVERYWHERE. Sophie found herself swatting at a few of them just because she wasn't quick enough to battle all the nine thousand things flying around. Okay, so there weren't really that many things flying around the room, but it sure seemed like it from the point of view of the person being attacked.

Of all things, a cornish pixie was the first thing that Sophie managed to aim her wand at. Those things were ridiculously fast. She raised her wand toward it, but it only seemed to laugh. Was that thing--it was! It was laughing at her! She flicked her wand horizontally and said, "Impedimenta!"

One cornish pixie DOWN.

She had actually managed to hit the tennis ball with her spell. Lux felt proud of herself for the good job she had done. Two points for her amazing House. BEAM. Hufflepuff was almost as good as Gryffindor in her books.

Spotting a butterfly, tried to see if she could hit that as well. "Impedimenta!" It was a miss. Sigh. Oh well, she had made one hit so far, nothing keeping her from doing it again.

Stepping over a few of the chocolate frogs, Medea glanced into the box at the other items, mulling over which one to toss up next. Although that didn't keep her from studying the student's movements and wand work as well.

She could proudly say they were doing very well. No need for any instruction as of yet.

Ooooh?

Stopping mid-step, she glanced towards the Gryffindor. Honestly, she was expecting the question to come from Alexa. "After the lesson you may, Mister Adair." Those objects wouldn't stay frozen forever and they didn't particularly want the number of targets to diminish did they.



Pulling out a tomato plush from the container, she tossed it high into the air the swarm of butterflies.

"FOUR POINTS!"

...and suddenly, Sophie was being attacked by a swarm of butterflies. She blinked as they came closer to her face. UGH. This was such an annoying practical portion of the lesson, but at the same time, she could see where it was useful, too. She was so busy worrying about what was going on with the objects attacking HER, that she had no idea how well she was doing in regards to her classmates.

When the butterflies cleared, Sophie thought she, too, was in the clear. She paused for a split second to take a deep breath but regretted that a second afterwards. There was a ...random red object flying her way. She had no idea what it was, but she didn't want to pause any further and try to find out. She could get this--she could!

She raised her wand toward it and glared at it with a fierce determination. She could do this, she could do this... "Impedimenta!" she called out, flicking her wand horizontally.

Was a tomato?

Ooooh, practical time. Jasmine was ready to try out the spell for real this time. Watching as Professor Romanos opened the container full of goodies, she had set her sight on a Cornish pixie when she threw out a special treat. Deciding to go for the tomato, Jasmine aimed for it and gave her wand a horizontal flick. Saying, "Impedimenta", she watched to see if she was able o hit the target.

Adi hadn't even really noticed the Pixies and the butterflies. Obviously he noticed the chocolate frogs first. He was ecstatic. He had already found out that these particular sweets were packed with motivation for him. Oh! He was gonna get some of those this lesson.

"Impedimenta!" Annnd cue the horizontal flick of the wand. A beam of light flashed toward his targeted frog but narrowly missed it. Darn! Adi was distracted by an important question from Zander. Yes, yes. Could they eat the Frogs? Romanos's response satisfied Adi. Chocolate frogs, here came Adi Rehman!

Cris searched for another Cornish Pixie. Those pesky creatures were fast though. But he took his time as he trained his wand on the one nearest to him. Just as he was about to cast the spell, something else flew right in front of his line of fire.

O_o good one there, Cris thought to himself as he switched his attention to the new object. A plushy looking tomato. He focused all his concentration on what he wanted the spell to do as he aimed his wand at the tomato. And then, flicking his wand horizontally, Cris called out, "Impedimenta" at the same time. He watched as a turquoise beam of light streamed from his wand and headed towards the target.

Would his spell hit the target or would he miss?

An echoing shout of spells filled the room all at once. They were certainly on their toes this time.

Noting which spell had come from which direction, the first to be hit was a butterfly that flew just in front of the bright red soft object. It's neighboring partner froze mid air as well, however, it left an easy opening for the third spell to make contact with the tomato plush. And just who's spell had that been?

"Four points to Slytherin!" she called out. "Keep in mind, anticipate vhere the object is going and any factor that may intervene vith your line of casting."

It was game on cornish pixies. They were a very pretty shade of blue. AJ shook her head to rid herself of all the nonsense. She had to focus. She wanted to be able to master the spell. She couldn't help but to wonder what else she could use this spell on.

Wand firmly in hand she spotted a pixie coming at her. "Impedimenta!" She flixked her wand horizontally and was so proud when the spell worked. The pixie managed to get out of the way just in the nick of time, but it was still a success simply because she managed to get the spell to work.

Even more determined to hit a chocolate frog, Adi scanned the room for another. Soon he caught sight of one. Wasting no time, he raised his wand. "Impedimenta!'' A horizontal flick sent light zooming towards the targeted froggie.

And it hit! The Frog froze in mid air. Grinning widely, Adi snagged it. Poor frog was going to end up in his stomach as soon as this lesson was done.

Target practice? Neat.

Lex got up, waiting for whatever they were releasing to be released. The pixies caught her attention--but all was lost the moment the chocolate frogs came hopping out of the box.

...

.....

She must be dreaming....nobody wake her.

Lex's eyes remained transfixed on the chocolate frogs as they hopped around. So...so beautiful, the lioness was almost moved to tears and in that moment, she and the chocolate frogs were the only ones in the room. No Professor, no others running about freezing things, just her and the chocolate goodness that existed within this dueling arena.

Bless her soul her heart wasn't strong enough for this. Could she have a moment...with all of them....yes?

Just then one hopped by her and without thinking the Gryffindor dived, grabbing the amazing love of her life by the back leg and hauling it toward her. In what might have been the most satisfying moment of her life, Lex bit and ripped off the head of the chocolate frog, ignoring the squirming between her fingers. This was life at it's bes--

Vampire Professor say whaaaat?

"What?" Lex asked, pulling herself into a sitting position with the frog dangling in her mouth. They couldn't eat these?

Now how could he have missed hitting that outrageously red looking thing and hit a butterfly instead! Cris listened as Professor Romanos threw some reminders at them about how they needed to look for objects that would get in their way of the target, as well as anticipate their movements.

So he turned his attention back to that chocolate frog which he had been focussing on before he got distracted by another Cornish pixie and that red plushy thing.

Ahhh....there it was! "Impedimenta" Cris called out as he aimed and flicked his wand horizontally at Candy and wham!..there was a Chocolate Frog floating in mid-air. Cris grinned before turning to look for something else to next target his spell on.

Chocolate frogs. Mo just wanted to catch the chocolate frogs. He wasn't afraid of hurting them, and he was sure that if he could get them in his pocket, he'd be allowed to eat one EVENTUALLY. Unlike Cambridge, Mo had the patience of a... Ravenclaw. Whatever that meant.

He stalked the frog in question, moving up behind it practically on all fours and waiting until the candy had stopped moving before slowly drawing his wand from the holster. This wasn't a new spell, but he still mouthed the incantation silently before dragging his wand in a horizontal line. This time, he said the incantation aloud, "Im-ped-i-menta."

Ahhhhh, missed the tomato. Jasmine turned her attention back to the Cornish pixies. Finding one somewhat apart from the others, Jasmine zeroed in on him. Directing her wand in the pixie's direction, Jasmine gave it a sideways flick and said, "Impedimenta". She missed it, again. Now Jasmine was 0 for 2 and not very happy about it. She couldn't imagine that it would be any easier to hit a butterfly or chocolate frog so she decided to stick with the Cornish pixies. She would get one eventually.

Impedimenta. They were going to use that. Heh, not bad. Still, she practiced it a bit even if she was familiar with it already. Her tutors had been somewhat useful besides serving as dummies or test subjects.

Beverly flicked her wand horizontally. The move wasn't all that complicated. She liked these time of wand movements; fast and to the point. Next, she went for the incantation.

"Impedimenta. Im-pe-da- men-ta." The latter she pronounced like Professor Romanos had instructed. With the 'ah' sound instead of the 'eh' or 'ih.' Now for it all together, fast and sure. "Impedimenta...Impedimenta...Impedimenta!" Yes, that sounded perfect. Reeeady.

Suddenly she was mildly distracted by what was inside that container Professor Romanos was levitating. Why was it wiggling? Were live things in there? Beverly raised an eyebrow, her fingers turning her wand between them. She was about to guess when...

Holy fluffy kneazles!

Cornish pixies?! Really? And Butterflies and chocolate frogs (could she catch those in her mouth?), it was the best challenge EVER. Quickly putting her hair in a ponytail, she squeezed it tight. Time to freeze eat some in chocolate frog cases these suckers.

OH. Pixie!

Beverly pointed her wand at it, training her eyes on it. Squinting, she flicked her wand horizontally. "Impedimenta!" FREEZE RIGHT THERE.

Awh, so they couldn't eat the frogs yet? Sigh. Zander threw the frog into the air, but vowed that he'd definitely refreeze the thing before the end of the lesson. He claimed this one. HMPH.

With his mind still on the chocolate frogs, Zander couldn't really bring himself to freeze any other objects. Out of the corner of his eyes he spotted another running frog! YES THAT ONE WILL BE HIS TOOO! "Imped-a-menta!" Or not....

Man. This was hard.

Kace thought this classroom was getting crazy! He was trying to stun things but it wasn't working. He saw the tomato plush being thrown into the air. He could get this! He pointed his wand and said, "Impedimenta!" and wondered if he got it. If he didn't then he saw some chocolate frogs hopping in front of him. He would stun that frog. He pointed his wand at that frog and said, "Impedimenta!" and then the frog stopped in mid-air! Only for a few seconds...then it started hopping again. GRR!! He was soo close! He would need to concentrate on it more next time.

Oh great, stopping flying objects in mid air.

At least it was something else besides the Cold Ones and Skygge. Or whatever they were called. Benny wasn't too fond of them, though he doubted anyone was, and he was beginning to be really creeped out by the discussions going on around him thoughout the lesson. The activity should be relatively harmless in comparision...right?

"Impedimenta!'' he cast at the oncoming targets coming their way from the box. He was aiming for a troublesome pixie, but may have caught something else. What was that red?

Ahhhhhhhhh! Cornish Pixie going for her hair!

"Impedimenta!" And of course, she missed. Then again, it was kind of hard to aim correctly when you were running. Would she lose points if she just took a book and whacked the pixie with it? No, better stick to the spell that she was supposed to be practicing. "IMPEDIMENTA!" Nope, no pixie hit there either.

Would they just stop dodging her spells?!
