| | |  Defense Against the Dark Arts Three - Classroom 1C
Down at the opposite end of the first floor from the dueling arena lies Classroom 1C. Considerably smaller than the dueling arena, it looked like an ordinary classroom. Even felt a bit ordinary temperature wise, but a chill still hung in the air. However, the floor lay empty; no desks or chairs. In fact, there were no windows either, but there was an abundant amount of leaves on the floor for some reason. Can you spot the ones that would give that satisfying crunch when stepped on? Or will you be cautious and avoid stepping on them? It was defense against the dark arts after all. Professor Romanos stands towards the back of the classroom, waiting for the students to arrive.

Seize and Pull charm, yeah? "Carpe Retractum!'' Purple rope flew around the dummy. "CAN A HUFFLEPUFF HELP ME OUT HERE?'' Adi practically shouted. Everyone looked so busy right about now. Where you at, Hufflepuffs?

MADDIE had figured out where they were though! Maddie with that Jasmine girl! "DIMA look! They know!"Kyroh started to run toward them but with the mini tornados blowing he could only feel himself being pushed back. How was he even suppose to get points and get a dummy with this WIND?
"Impedimenta!!! Impedimenta! Impedimenta! Impedimenta!" The first year yelled with a FLICK, FLICK, FLICK AND AND ANOTHER FLICK aiming his wand at the TORNADO and not the dummy nearby at all. That thing needed to STOP so he could get the dummy OKAY? Although...."Reducto!!!" He added as an after thought, v motion and all at the dummy. Did it work? Was the wind slowing down?
Unfortunately no.
However, he did manage to capture points for his house in a BANG! "FIVE POINTS TO RAVENCLAW!" All good things must come to an end though.
"TIME'S UP!" From behind the barrier, Medea ended the tornadoes, letting the leaves freely twirl slowly back to the floor individually and in bunches and ultimately letting the chaos die down. And to let the students take a breather. Goodness! They worked rather hard. Which was very pleasant to see.

So... That was it then? Done? Aaaaalll done? The Gryffindor raised his brows and took on his suspicion once again. It's not like he took a break from it... Constant vigilance after all! Just being suspicious of Romanos' every move was SUCH a tiring task. But now that he had fought off flying dummies and all, he was back to mission. Mission: defeat Romanos and her Cold One Army.
So yes. This would happen. Also, now that the activity was over, did that mean it was almost time? WAS THE INVASION HAPPENING AT THIS VERY SECOND!? Zander shifted his eyes around the classroom with great concern. Seee he did care about everyone he really did. Just some were cared about more than others. Ahem. But still! He couldn't let the Cold Ones take over his favoritest school ever!

Simon was on his way to go lend a hand to Sophie when he realized that Romanos had said that time was up for this activity.
They were done? ALREADY? Aww, he was just about to send the Reductor curse towards the other dummy that Sophie had roped up so expertly like a proper cowgirl. But if it was time to be done with the class then so be it. He slipped his wand into the pocket of his robes and waited for further instructions.

And THIS time the dummy exploded. Kyroh raised his arms to shield his arms from any flying dummy bits that wanted to come at him. He had EXPLODED it! And POINTS! And-oh? It was over? The first year looked around and started at the leaves as they started to die down.
LOOK! He had exploded the dummy AND gotten rid of the tornados. Both of them too strangely. HE HAD ENDED THE WHOLE THING! "I'm awesome." Kyroh declared, a smile plastered from ear to ear.

Toby was just please that he managed to take down that one dummy. He had HELPED, y'know? The Hufflepuff lowered his wand just as the winds died down, leaving what now felt like some sort of eerie calm in the classroom. It was only because they'd now gotten used to the high winds, of course, but still. Weird.
Whilst he waited to hear what Romanos said next, Toby focused on straightening out his uniform as much as he could and flattening down his hair somewhat. WHEW. That had been a wild ride.

It was quite a feat that Dima could even HEAR Kyroh's voice over the wind and the rusting leaves and the blasting noises that were surrounding everything. BOTH his friends had managed to blow up dummies, though, he'd noticed! And also that he hadn't been able to cast one successful spell.

The wind was too much, and his arms felt strained from all the pulling he did, while the other tornado was pulling his captured dummy away from him. Thank Merlin, it was over and Ethan just flopped on the floor unceremoniously, with his hair tousled, and there were leaves sticking out from his head.
Breathing heavily, Ethan turned and eyed the professor and waited for her next announcement.

She totally destroyed those leaves. Mhhm. And it didn't really matter since a few snakes managed to blow up dummies. It didn't matter who succeeded in a team. And she lost count of how many points each house got. Actually, she wasn't counting. Heh. Sort of hard to do when you are facing two tornadoes. Anyway, they survived. Phew.
First thing she did, was smooth down her hair. Priorities. Second thing she did was pick up the dummy she'd captured and guarded with Grayson. Did she see West capturing one as well? Her eyes searched for the tallest snake and found him. Grin. He did! Awesome. And yeah, what were they going to do with the captured dummies. Wrap up and take as souvenirs? She guessed not. But Romanos was usually full of ideas, so she waited and lowered her wand.

It was over? But, she wasn't done. AJ didn't even get a chance to actually blast a dummy. She had managed to tie one up so that had to of counted for something, but it just didn't seem like enough. It was hard to tell how many points they had managed to get and she was anxious to hear who the winner was. Please not Slytherin.
AJ just held on to her wand not casting anything, really hoping that there would be another round or something. What was the verdict Romanos?

Or at least not bad as far as partners were concerned. She didn't know enough about her yet to decide if she was F-word material. Y'know, friend.

"You ARE awesome." DUH. Maddie was only going to associate with people she deemed as such and so Kyroh got a smile and a nudge in the arm. He'd done well. Dima got a nudge too because he was doing a thing. The small brunette wasn't GREAT at reading people but she had noticed his expression and she figured he could use it. Leaning towards him a bit, Maddie whispered, "We can practice in the dueling arena sometime if you want. I could use it." Because SHE hadn't yet got the Seize and Pull charm and she wanted to learn how to do it properly.

Just whooooo had a captured dummy, hmm?
While the remaining dummies floated towards the ceiling, she swiftly counted those upon the ground and which house they belonged. Not very many actually. Nevertheless, the number counted was better than nothing. "Despite the tally of points here..." she started off, lowering the barrier between her and the students. Was no longer needed. "...I am rather proud to see no one had to step out of the activity. You took the chaos very vell."
Gold stars for everyone!
"As for the points..." Did she drift off into a couple seconds of silence for dramatic effect? Perhaps. "Slytherin came in first vith 35 points, haffing captured two dummies. Ravenclaw came in second vith 25 points, and had captured one dummy. Hufflepuff earned 15 points, and Gryffindor has earned 10 points. Vell done everyone."
"And that is all for today's lesson. There vill be no homevork, but you may continue to practice these spells in the dueling arena if you don't mind the chill. If I hear of any funny business going on ven practicing though..." With narrowed eyes, she wiggled her finger at them. Just...no. "You are free to go." | |

She wasn't REALLY planning on the invasion here. She was just planning on buttering them up, making them think they could take down the Cold Ones just cause they knocked out a few dummies. WELL GUESS WHAT ROMANOS? Two can play at this game. And this third year is good at winning. That's right. Zander Adair would not give up this fight that easily.
Ha. Always watching Romanos, always watching.
The Gryffindor walked back to gather up his things, not even realizing that he had been watching Romanos with narrowed eyes in the meanwhile. Constant vigilance? Uhum...? With his bag slung over his shoulder, the Gryffindor made his way towards the door.
"You are free to go." What was that supposed to mean??? HUh, Professor care to explain!! Free to go as in free to RUN from the Cold Ones that she'd be setting loose any day now. That's right. He knows what you are Romanos. HE KNOWS. "See you around, Professor," and around she would. Because this Gryffindor was not giving up yet. No. He needed to figure out exactly what Romanos was up to and in order to do that he'd have to pay extra close attention. To her every move. See you around indeed.

The end of class huh? Leah had enjoyed this lesson a lot that she wanted to try the activity again despite the tornado. And Hufflepuff came third! She walked back to her corner and replaced her belongings to her bag, also making sure nothing else was in it (leaves, perhaps?)
"Bye, Professor Romanos. Thanks for the lesson." she said with a small wave, and the second year left the classroom.

How can they not win, yeah? Their teamwork was EPIC. What's worthy of a loud cheer though, was there will be NO homework. OH. YES.
Slytherin won, and no additional task after. He can finally sleep in this coming weekend, yeah? FREAKING YES.
Brushing his hair with his hand, Ethan got his satchel and dusted off the blasted leaves off of him. "Thanks for the lesson and fun activity, professor! Adios!" With a grin and a wave, the blond boy dashed after Zander.

They didn't get first place which was a bummer, but last place? That was absolutely ridiculous. AJ was a super competitive person and she was upset that they lost. Last place was a new thing for her, and it didn't feel good. The first year had fun though, and that should have counted for something even if it wasn't lifting her spirits any.
It was time to go. She grabbed her bag, and waved goodbye to Adi. "Thanks for the lesson, professor." AJ did a quick wave to her as well before exiting the classroom.
