He was confused as well, although not because of rest issues like Kyroh. Dima was mostly just having a difficult time following. What? Had the professor told them what the curse did or were they expected to know? Or was he just really sucky at paying attention? When was it nap time?

"I wanna make a flaming iron arrow!" he chimed in cheerfully after his friend. Yeah! Cool stuff, man!

Scrambling to his feet, he looked over at Maddie too. They were gonna SHOW this piñata who the bosses were.

.... the older kids, obviously.

Zander busied himself with scribbling down as much as he could. AHHH this lesson was going way too fast for him to keep up with. There was just so much to know and so much to write down. As the his Professor kept addressing other students Zander tried his best to keep up. He was so focused on getting down all his notes that he hadn't even noticed when the class was asked another question. Eh. No harm done. Zander wouldn't have known the answer.

Zombie Pinata? Cris was happy to hear that his sideways V description for the Reductor spell wand movement was correct. He hoped that when the time came to cast the spell, everyone wouldn't have a problem with the wand movement. Casting the spell was another thing to worry about.

So while Cris waited with the other students for Professor Romanos to start off the game, he closed his eyes and began meditating to clear his mind.

And a second later, he opened his eyes again. It had finally dawned on him what they were supposed to do in order to defeat the Cold Onea. Shoot flaming arrows into the Cold Ones first in order to bring down their shields and then use the Reductor spell to defeat them, or had he misunderstood the Professor?

Raising his hand, he asked,"Professor do we use the Reductor spell AFTER we shoot the flaming arrows to bring down their shield or before. And if it's the arrows first, do we use, the incantation Inflecto Telum to conjure up the arrows from our wand?"

Yes he had been copying everything Professor Romanos has said, but he wanted to make sure he had understood her correctly.

Not that they were supposed to do it for this game, but he just wanted to know...you know just in case he came across one of those Cold guys.

Zombie piñata?

Okay, class had just gotten more interesting. Eagerly Lux waited with the other students. She wanted to forget about the creepy lesson they had learned today and have some fun practicing the Reducto spell. Besides, who didn't enjoy piñatas?

Curiously, she wondered what was inside it. Please be Chocolate Frogs

Now that the creepy discussion was over, Penelope took notes on how to cast reducto. This would be an interesting activity.

You know that prickly sensation you get when someone stares at you? That's exactly what Beverly was currently feeling, and it was coming from the direction of Cutty Mordaunt. Was he still wondering what shampoo she used? 'Cause she told him. Or was he wondering how many times she conditioned?

Either way, she kept her gaze forward.

The wand movement didn't seem so complex nor did the incantation. Beverly was confident she'd leave this class with at least having performed a few blasts. Following professor Romanos' gaze, she look upward. Her eyes widened a bit.

No way!

She's never seen those in real life! Kennedy has pictures from some event from his Hogwarts' days, but...this was wicked. What made it better was that they'd get to blast at it. Beverly brandished her wand, eyes unyielding, feeling like the predator. She was SO ready.

Practical part! Finally.

Ethan got up from his mat, got his wand out and rolled his shoulders. Warm up, you know? Not that, you will be needing a warm up when you face an actual zombie, but it helps. The Slytherin followed the professor’s gaze…and almost laughed at the sight of the Zombie Piñata. He didn’t let it show, though he held his grin to keep himself from laughing out loud. Oh and…they get to keep the treats…or maybe not-so treats, like homework?

Not cool, but then again…BLASTING STUFF.

This Slytherin dude is ready.

Bring.it.on.

Perhaps keeping those sleepy eyes open weren't enough when the brain was turned off. "See me after class, Mister Scabior. We can go over it again." And he could write it down this time.

"Correct." she nodded. "However, the actual spell is something you're going to find for homework."

Or try to at least.



That somersault was spotted, Airey Flamsteed. And that rating was heard. An 8.5? Really?

She gave him a not so subtle 10 with her fingers. Perfect form.

Angel was confused, so she raised her hand. "Professor are we shooting a bow and arrow that has flames on the arrow?" Angel had seen people do it before but they always warned you not to do it if you weren't a Professional and Angel well was a kid so hardly a Professional.

Angel decided that the first thing she wanted to do was just to practice the spell without her magic stick. ""Reducto!" Angel smiled. ""Reducto!" Angel was happy she could say this spell, now thought she needed the wand movement down but she had forgotten what it was.

AJ recognized the pinata right off the bat. It was a bit of a bummer that it wasn't a real zombie, but the fact that they were going to assassinate it was pretty cool and almost made up for it. She had no idea what to do first, but noticed that her sister took to practicing the spell first, and AJ thought that it wasn't a bad idea.

She glanced at her sis and gave her a thumbs up. "Reducto." Easy enough. "Re-duc-to." Now she practiced the wand movement. She was ready to go... kinda, sorta, in a way.

When Jasmine heard the words Zombie Piñata, she couldn't help but cringe. She kept visualizing one of those awful zombies from Peru hanging by a string while a bunch of little kids swung at it with sticks. Not a pretty picture.

Nevertheless Jasmine continued to take notes of the important details mentioned by the Professor and her classmates. She paused to practice the Reductor spell. Taking out her wand, Jasmine first said, "Reducto", several times. That part was easy enough. Then she tackled the wand movement. Jasmine moved her wand to the right and then to the left in a sideways V shape. OK, not bad. Now she just had to put the two together.

Lucy said:"All right!" and she started to pronunce the spell:"Reducto"
"If I can do Wingardium Leviosa I could also do this new charm!"
Lucy grabbed her wand and began to practice the wand movement:" a flick to the right and a flick to the left"...She was very excited!

Coooooooooool. Zombie pinata. Toby could get down with that.

The Hufflepuff got to his feet and drew his wand, carefully mirroring the wand movement Professor Romanos had told them to practice. To the right, and to the left. Swish. Swish.

Aaaaaaaaaaand again. Swishhh. Swishhh.

That was... y'know... pretty easy.

"Reducto... reducto..." The incantation wasn't difficult either. He tried it together with the wand movement. "Reducto."

All that was the easiest part. But Tobias already knew that. With every spell it was the intent and focus behind it, and he was hoping to be able to channel his energy into this spell and have it work super well.

The Hufflepuff bounced on his toes, ready.

Sophie was just casually there one moment, and then BAM--hello, zombie a few feet away! She grew wide-eyed and scrambled around a bit out of pure shock alone. When she realized what was before her, she calmed down...somewhat. She eyed the shield around the zombie. Hmm...this actually seemed pretty cool.

Then there were people asking waaaay too many confusing questions. Didn't the professor say they were just casting Reducto? Where did all these arrows come in? Either Sophie was really confused, or she was about to get beaten up by a zombie.

Neither was preferred.

Almost correct but they might have to find the proper one for homework? O_o.

But back to practice. Cris first practiced the incantation,"Reducto...Reducto...Reducto," he repeated over and over again until he was able to say the word without any hesitation.

Now the wand movement. One quick slash to the right and then to the left forming a sideways V. He practiced over and over again until his wand movements were fluid and quick.

Piñata ready or not, here we come.

Okay now he was starting to feel a whole lot better, standing up he followed Cris over to where he was standing.. "dude.. can i just stay with you incase" incase he had to barf again.. he had hoped not but he didn't want to do it near Lux incase he got it on her.

Seeing that he was practicing the wand movement Bay started to do the same, moving his wand like a side way "v" he did this for a few minutes. as for the incantation he was fairly confident in his ability to cast in because it was easy "Reducto" most spells to Bay was very hard for him to pronounce. "like this right?" he asked Cris because it seemed like he was really getting it.

Cris didn't even notice Bay had walked up to him until he heard his question. In case what? He faints? He misses the target and hits someone else?

Okay.....

However, Bay was his friend, so Cris didn't care whatever he did. "Sure no worries," he nodded and smiled at Bay before watching as Bay practiced his wand movement. Sideways V movement?

"Yes it looks like you're doing it right," Cris smiled encouragingly at his Gryffindor friend.

So pinata and reducto. Easy enough. Though it did seem a bit excessive once the shields were down. Would everything in the pinata be turned to dust if one accidental reducto was cast. Nigel wanted to find out.

It was a good question. But the more important question was why the somersault Flamsteed.

He agreed it was an 8.5. But seriously random.

WAS THAT A ZOMBIE PIÑATA?!

Grayson's eyes widened as he stared at the figure that had appeared. Okay, it wasn't as great as the idea of fighting actual zombies but this was freaking brilliant. Not only did it mean trying to defeat a zombie, they got some sweet treats out of it. Which, frankly, he didn't care what position or how old some of the people in here were: he was getting as many of those sweets as possible.

Reducto? So he was quite close. The fourth year finally tore his eyes away from the piñata to make a note of the spell, wand movement and incantation and all. If he was going to Antarctica any time in the future, the last thing he wanted to do was to go unprepared. That's why, once he had finished taking a few notes, Grayson picked up his wand and tried to practice the wand movement instead. Fliiiiiiiick to the right........ fliiiiiiick to the left. Flick flick....... flick flick!

Also. Somersault? In the classroom???? Er.

Maybe the man really had walked out of a local circus.

Practising the incantation would happen, then. "Reducto... re-DUCK-toh... re-DUCK-toh... Reductohhhh! Reducto!" And on and on it went until he got tired of hearing his own voice.

Seeing Bay move over to Cris, it was hard for Lux not to smile. It was nice to see them spend time together, but poor Cris if Bay decided to get sick again. Hopefully that wouldn't happen, because she didn't like having an ill boyfriend; she was worried about him.

Since everyone else was practicing the spell, she figured she might as well do it too. First things first: the incantation. In as clear a voice as she could manage, Lux said, "Reducto." Over and over again she repeated it until she was sure she had gotten it correct.

That done, she took out her wand so that she could do the wand movement. Slash to the right then slash to the left. slash to the right then slash to the left.

And so on...

He nodded, taking in the answer that the professor was giving him. Fair enough. Good for future use.

Alright! They were practicing the Reductor Curse, cool! It was a fun curse to do, but last time he checked he had a bit of trouble getting it to be strong enough to fully reduce anything. Just made it halfway.

Declan stretched out his legs in front of him. They were cramping up all criss-crossed like that. It might be comfortable for the professor, but my, my how painful it was for him.

The boy got up onto his feet, stretching his arms to the ceiling really quick. Ahhh, okay. "Reducto. ReDUCTo. REductO." He mumbled to himself.

A Zombie pinata! How cool! Adi couldn't wait to get started with this activity. But first came some practice, yes?

"Reducto...Reducto...Reducto...Reducto...Reducto.. .'' Adi did those incantations without his wand but now he kept his mouth shut as he practiced the wand movement. A swipe to the right then to the left! Or a sideways V as the Professor and someone else had mentioned. Swipe, swipe, swipe, swipe, swipe, swipe....

Right! He was ready!

After class? Uhhhhhh."Okay! But.....okay Professor!" Although now he was more confused than ever. If that wasn't what the Reductor curse was for then what was it suppose to do?

An older Hufflepuff had asked a question after him and he blinked reached up and scratched his head. So Reductor curse was used after.....but still breaking barriers right....thats what it did?

Turning to Dima Kyroh grinned. "I do too! But I don't think that's what Reductor does. I'm going to learn after class though!" So don't WORRY!

"Reduuuctoooo"He mumbled flapping his wand around. It wasn't the right wand movement, but he was just testing the word out. No flicks to the right then flicks to the left just yet. Better get ready zombie!

FLAMING Iron arrows and reductor curses and zombies, OH MY! Maddie got to her feet TOO and looked excitedly from Dima to Freckles cause SPELLS! ARROWS TOO! Could they USE those arrows someday? THIS WAS FUN! And that pinata didn't stand a CHANCE! GO TEAM Ravenclaw First Years HUMANS!

After double checking her notes from her upright and ready-to-reducto position, Maddie BEAMED and practiced the incantation quietly to herself. Practice makes PERFECT, y'know. "Reducto...reducto...reducto...reducto." SHEWASLEARNINGANEWASPELL!! Cue inner flailing because Maddison did NOT flail on the outside. How UNCOOL. Ahem. "Reducto!" BADABAM! Incantation down.

Next came the wand flicking. Not TOO hard but just enough to get a good feel for the movement. SHARP flick to the right, SHARP flick to the left. FLICK. FLICK. FLICK. FLICK. She was a FLICKING MACHINE. EEP! Learning a new spell here!

"We're just practicing the reductor curse today, Miss Valentine." she said, loud enough for most, if not all, to hear. Juuuust reducto.



Moving over to the astronomy professor, she took a glance at HIS watch. Mmhmm. "Alright. We have about ten minutes before the end of class. Remember, you're only using the reducto spell and only point upwards when casting. I don't want any emergencies." They were good students though, full of common sense. She shouldn't need to worry too much. "And don't be afraid of missing the pinata...this place is well protected today. I want you to get as much practice in as you can."

"Get ready." Tick...tick....tick. "In 3...2...1...BEGIN!"

OOC: So, we're just working with the Reductor Curse only. There are two stages of shields you'll need to try and break through. I'll be letting you guys know when the students have broken through the first shield, so you can move onto the second. This activity should last a day, more or less.
