Oh jeez, he had to go darting after the gnome, didn't he?

Letting out a groan, Grayson darted after the ugly creature. He was going to get this one and fling it as far as he could. But this thing was going to take him around on a wild goose chase, wasn't it? Couldn't he just petrify the thing? What was the point in trying to stop it using his foot if it was just going to try and run away again?

He still hated gnomes, by the way.

...................... No. Was the gnome LAUGHING at him? He was pretty sure that it was. Probably enjoyed seeing Grayson make a right spectacle of himself. Maybe it'd go and tell all it's little ugly gnome friends all about this endeavour. Just look at it darting between grass blades! This was getting more and more infuriating.

The chase continued, right up until the moment when the Slytherin jumped over the gnome and surprised it by landing in front of it. AHA! Who's clever NOW?! The gnome continued running towards his legs because it was DUMB. That's the kind of gnome he had attracted. The boy put out his leg, where the base of his foot met the head of the gnome. It continued running in place but at least it wasn't trying to run AWAY or try and bite him.

"Immobulus!" And now he had an immobilised gnome under his foot. SMIRK. This was more like it.

"Nope, of course you didn't." she said shaking her head. Nope he didn't, he'd tossed one but she hadn't seen where it landed, so yep he hadn't throw that one. "Hmmm, that bush is wiggling!" she said pointing to one nearby. She moved closer to it, "I'll keep it from running out the back, you grab its feet!"

Okay good. At least she wasn't grassing him up. Nodding, Dan approached the bush warily and waited for Zoe to get into position. Once she was, he reached into the bush and yanked the gnome out by its ankle. "Wriggly one. Why do I get the squirmy ones?" he asked through his teeth. Lifting the gnome, he headed closer to the fence and span around before letting the gnome go. His eyes were on it as it got closer and closer to the fence.

"It cleared the fence!" He told Zoe, shock showing on his face. He'd done it!

She kept her eyes on the gnome there as he squirmed at Dan's catching him by his ankles. She watched intently as he span around and finally let go, holding her breath as she watched it fly. "YAY!" she exclaimed beaming at him. "You did it, well done!" Yay! No more knocked out gnomes. Right...her next one. She was proud Dan had got it over but she needed to, WOAH! A gnome was coming barreling towards her again and she bit her lip and stuck her foot out to stop it.

Watching Zoe now, Dan stepped out of the way, but a smile was firmly plastered all over his face. He'd done it! Tilting his head at Zoe, he crossed his fingers. Hopefully this gnome wasn't going to tackle her. One glance toward the fence told him the gnome had finally moved. "I think it's okay." he whispered to Zoe.

Easier, but still it was a considerable amount of effort to walk over over to the stunned gnome and pick him up by the legs. Why was he complaining so much today. He did not know. But it was fun for now.

Fun until a gnomes get a chance to pull his hair and if that happens. It is getting punted past the pen they should be aiming for. He did not care. Back to the spinning the gnome around the world and where it stops only Nigel knows.

One....Two....Three.

Nigel threw into the pen and heard an awesome thud as it landed further than the last one.

Pure Awesome.

Excited with his very first task in Hogwarts Nick was so sure that he could do anything. He kept saying oh yes! Sure I can spin and throw. How could that be difficult? . He quickly grabs his gloves and slid his hand in it. okays, here comes Nick. So sure of himself he aimed for the first potato head.

Trying to catch one running along the fence he ran towards it. oppppssss there he landed on the ground. His foot got twisted running with that excitement. Still having the confidence level high he could do it he aimed for another.

Lying there on the ground he looked up surprised. how could she do it? She looks my age. Managing to stand up again he dusted the mug on his pants cleared his throat and walked up to the girl. “Heya. How did you catch that thing? They don’t seem to be in one place.” Thought she had caught the potato something she couldn't land it right. Hmm….Not a bad start “Didn’t land right, huh. I Nick, first” That seemed to be his new tag line for the year.

She wobbled when it hit her foot but remained upright that time because she'd been expecting how heavy it would be against her foot. She giggled as she watched it running in place just like it had against the professors foot. "HAH! Got him!" she said with laughter filling her voice. She cast a stunning spell on him and moved to spin again and looked towards Dan when he whispered and looked towards the fence "Good!" she whispered back. No dead gnomes. Very good thing. No detentions!

Watching the gnome run in place, Dan raised an eyebrow. That was just strange. "Well done!" he watched her and nodded at her whispered response. "Thanks." Now for his second gnome. "I hope there's no homework." he told Zoe, sounding hopeful. He didn't want to look at another gnome in his life.

"Thank you!" she said beaming and started spinning again, merlin she didn't like this part very much... She stumbled a little again, but at least it was easier with the gnome not squirming as she span around. "Me too." she muttered, knowing the professor there would be a quiz instead in regards to these creatures habitat instead or something though, if there wasn't homework... Finally letting go of the gnomes feet she watched it fly. PLEASE go over! The first one had barely made it over!

Alright so they were Degnoming just as Kace suspected. He was gonna have fun with this task. He always wanted to catch one and show them who is boss. Now the task was to find one. He went on the outskirts of the class. He saw one by himself. Kace smirked and chased after him. Once he got like ten feet away, he walked silently towards it. He remembered the spell his aunt taught him to stun the gnome. He put on his own gloves for safety precautions.

But he first needed to catch him without using magic first. He ran after using his speed he had from soccer and football and CAUGHT IT! He caught it with his bare hands. It was trying to bite him but he caught him by his foot. So it wasn't too bad. "There I got ya.." he said to the little guy. "Not soo tough now are ya?" he taunted him.

Get out of the way? But he was out of her way!

"What??! Nonono. You should aim, spin and throw it at an angle." Was it that hard to do it? WAS IT? The Slytherin was on the verge of getting annoyed at Agatha, but then she casted another tickling charm on a gnome. This made Ethan giggle!snort.

And Agatha shaking the gnome didn't help. The gnome's laughter became more comic as she did so.

"Eh...I guess you can swing it around above your head." Ethan watched as the gnome laughed as it was held by Agatha. "But then when you throw it, I reckon it won't go through the fence and onto the tall grass." Not enough force, so yes, spin it is.

The Slytherin didn't need to be told twice. You see, he didn't need to look or chase for a gnome this time. The prey was easily being handed to him, which made his task easier. Thanks Agatha! Ethan got hold of the laughing gnome and went on to take it for a spin. Literally.

"I'm spinning around! MOVE OUT OF MY WAY!" Ethan sang as he spun around a couple of times and threw the still laughing gnome across the fence and into the tall grass. "I know you're feelin' me 'cuz you like it like this!" The Slytherin continued to dance as he went off to take a breather.

Briefly, Lux wondered if she would get in trouble if she cast ropes around the Gnome. That bite had seriously hurt her. But in a few moments, her better nature asserted itself again, and she was back to not wanting to hurt the little things. Though this Gnome was still going down.

Moving towards it ever so slightly, the creature sensed trouble and darted off She was off after it like a shot; a well placed Impediment Jinx halted it in its tracks.

Grabbing the Gnome by its feet, Lux started to spin, spin, spin on the spot over and over again. When she reached what she deemed to be a good speed, she let go.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOARING through the sky, the Gnome landed in the tall grass outside the enclosure.

HAH In your face, Gnome!

Watching as Zoe threw the gnome, Dan pulled out his wand and cast a levitation charm on it when it didn't look like it was going over. He tried to make it look as smooth as possible and hid his wand as best he could. Couldn't get in trouble if you didn't get caught, right?

She jumped up and down when the gnome landed on the other side of the fence. "I did it!" she exclaimed. It hadn't even toppled this time! HAH! Okay, proper....fifth years didn't act like that. Breathe... Relaxing she beamed "Did you see that?" she asked tilting her head at Dan.

Now what was it that the Professor had done next? Grab the gnome and spin around like a ballerina? That sounded like hard work. And he wasn't a ballerina, thank you very much.

Reaching over, he grabbed the gnome by the ankle and flipped it upside down. He then held it up so that his eyes were level with the gnome's. "Haha, you don't look so clever now, do you?" Yeah, just talking to an immobilised gnome here. This was important. It was a matter of ego and the fact that he COULD laugh at the gnome for being, well, dumb.

Sigh. Now it was ballerina time.

He didn't understand why they had to be the ones spinning around as well. That was just asking for things to go wrong. Luckily there were others here that would be doing the same thing so Grayson didn't feel like a complete loon. Making sure that his grasp on the gnome's ankles were tight, he starting spinning around........... and around........... and around........

.......... how many times was he meant to be spinning?

Whatever. He was still spinning.

After a couple more times, the boy stopped and-- woah, hello dizziness. He tried to stand stock still but it was proving to be very difficult. Wobble... wobble...

......... and he fell flat on his face.

Hello grass, nice to meet you.

He slipped his wand away while she was jumping and nodded when Zoe looked his way again. "I did! Well done!" he beamed at her and looked around for another gnome. "One more and I'm done." He wasn't going to ever tell Zoe what he'd just done.

WHEEEE This had been a lot of fun.

Lux could finally understand why some of the students had been excited when facing the prospect of Gnome tossing. If the creatures didn't get hurt, there was no harm to it. It was good exercise and a way to get the little creatures to not eat everything in your garden.

This girl was on the hunt again, and first sign of a potato she would be on it like THAT.

Hearing a thud right near her, she saw that a boy had faceplanted in the grass. SNOOOORT. "Grayson, is that you?" It was a little hard to tell because his face was hidden, but that did look like the back of his head. "Are you okay?"

Jasmine kept a discrete eye on her target, hoping to have the element of surprise on her side. She pretended that her attention was elsewhere, all the while following the gnome. When he least expected it she hoped, Jasmine broke into a run and charged toward the potato gnome. He was fast, but she was faster and somehow managed to catch up with him and stop him with her foot. Feeling that she was getting the hang of things, Jasmine scooped up the gnome and started swinging him all in one motion. Round and round she went...one, two, three, four, five times. She released the gnome and off he went to join his other gnome friends on the other side of the fence. Three down, now who wanted to be next?

She beamed back at him and nodded "One more." she agreed. That was easy enough right? "Maybe you should try stopping one with your foot!" she exclaimed "It's really funny!" Heh, just don't fall over like she had. That was uhh embarrassing and kind of well, you don't want to get bit by those little buggers!

After he managed to finally catch the gnome and put his hands were his feet were. He noticed it was starting to bite him. They were squirmy little fellas. Kace was having a hard time. He was looking away from one minute and then it squirmed free! AAGGHHHH!!!! He almost had him!

Kace went around and tried to find him again but he went back into his hole. "Darrnnnn ittt...." he said to himself. He went looking for another one. He was very cautious this time. He saw one in the distance and he crept up on him. He crawled and then caught him by his feet! Then he took his wand out and said, "Immobulus!!" and he stood still. WOOT! He got it!

Now it was time to spin this little fella out of the park. This was his favorite park of the task.

"I don't think so." He shook his head at her suggestion. "I just want to get it over and done with." And not hurt the gnome. Picking up a gnome that was staring at someone spinning and gnashing its teeth, Dan immobilised it with his wand quickly and breathed a sigh of relief before moving closer to the fence and spinning around with the gnome. He let go of it and watched it sail through the air. Hopefully it would clear the fence.

It...it didn't work!! Not only did it NOT work but the bloody thing had gone and sprayed her with sprinkles too!!! What even??? Her eyes shot back to the Professor but she could see it hadn't come as any surprize to him with the way he was just vacuuming up the extras like they were nothing. He'd rigged it hadn't he? WHY did the Professor figure everyone loved the colour as much as he did?? This was ridiculous!!!

Grumbling RATHER LOUDLY, Lex trudged by him to enter the pen. Consider her in a far less happy mood. Attack of the pink gloves, wait til her grandkids heard this one. They'd never believe her!

Lex glanced around the floor of the garden, watching people trying everything in their power to not hurt the little things. Of course she'd be following suit on account of Professor warning against hurting them. Meh, go figure. The Gryffindor kept her eyes on the floor, trying to locate the closest gnome and when she got sight of it....it bolted...

....

Because she so had time for this.

Ugh.

He was telling her the same thing as if she hadn't listened the first time. She HAD! And she had done all that too! She stared hard at Ethan for a second, but decided to not say anything else because he was doing what she had told him to do. Good. In a very odd, singing way, but at least he was doing it. She watched as the gnome flew past the fence and onto the tall grass. Good. Her job was done.

There were still many gnomes around and Agatha was getting tired of all this. Of the ugly gnomes, to be more exact. She walked around to try and find an easy target and almost fell over when a gnome rushed her way, bumping into her legs. "What's wrong with you???" She turned to look at the silly creature and used her foot to push it out of her way. Only then did she realise she had almost kicked it. Not that she cared, but the professor wouldn't be very happy, she didn't think.

"Rictusempra." It had worked so far, so she would keep using that spell. The Slytherin got a hold of the gnome's feet and was determined to get it right this time. The silly creature had hit her but not really so it deserved to be punished by being tossed over the fence. Ugh, but her hair would get in the way... how would this WORK????

She really needed to learn a spell to hold her hair up nicely.

Yeah her first gnome throwing thingy wasn't a big succeed because she didn't had a good aim apparently. Candice was about to go after the gnome and do that spinning and throwing gnome thing from beginning when she heard someone was talking to her. Huh? How she did that? "I used my foot to stop them." Like the Professor said earlier. DUH! She looked to where her gnome was but that ugly thing already ran off. Sigh.

"Hi, Nick. I'm Candice." And they're in the same house so they could help each other, yes? "Its not easy but I could show you." She looked around for a gnome and found one running towards them. When the gnome was close enough, Candice raised her foot and copied what Professor Thompson did earlier. The gnome was now stuck there, its just running in place with its hands trying to grab her feet. "Now you just need to grab the feet." She was about the grabbed the gnome's feet when she saw the creature opened it mouth and bite her foot HARD. "HOLY SNITCH...!!!!" Hurt. That hurt. She's wearing shoes but somehow the gnome's teeth managed to hurt her feet. Uggghhh..!!!

Candice turned her attention to her fellow Lion. "Go get that gnome!" She pointed to running the gnome. Avenge me. Shoo.
