Cris SPOILER!!: Cris It was time to pick partners for the practical lesson. Jasmine immediately turned to Cris and looked at him pleadingly. He must have been on the same wavelength because at that moment he asked Jasmine to be his partner. "Yes Cris, of course you can be my partner." Why would she want to be partners with anyone else? "Come on partner", Jasmine said as they started to walk. They followed the Professors as they headed to the other side of the lake. It was time to work with with the winged horses. Now this was something that Jasmine was excited about. |

Bad news...they needed partners. Benny wasn't that sure of which direction to go. A random student, a stranger, maybe even Angel or Aubrey since they were at least on speaking terms. But then he was approached by someone and poked, the gesture was followed with a very familiar voice. The Gryffindor turning to see Adi indeed beside him. "Hey..." he managed to get out, shrugging at his question. He had forgiven Adi once only to get duped so it was a hard question. "No funny business?" |
Quote:
"I'll partner with you!" he said with a grin, walking up to her. She should be honored, really. An older Slytherin letting her partner up with them? That opportunity did not come around very often! |

"No funny business. I promise.'' Adi grinned. Really. He wouldn't do anything. "It's good to be working with you again, bestie.'' It was the first time they would be partnering up for the term. |

What's your name? If you want "I will partner with you!" |
The practical was going to start already? That was slightly surprising since Professor Fuller hadn't gone over the wand movement yet as far as Lux knew. Oh well. Maybe part of her was just nervous to start because an activity with flying horses meant that the odds of her having to go in the air were high. Lux did not do going up into the air. Nope. Smiling at Bay, she said, "Let's go then." Of course she would partner with him. There was no other way that this was going to happen. |

The twelve year old eyed the older boy thoughtfully for a moment or two before offering her hand to him. "Maddie Cooper." PAUSE. "Interesting hair." Was he trying to make a statement with it or? Questions, the first year had them. |
Anyone? Marisol watched as her peers realigned into pairs. She supposed she didn't want to be left behind. Really, her inner Slytherin told her, these people should be glad to be my partner. She was quite a fun person, even though she was nearly dying of hypothermia or something. "You be my pair?" Marisol said loudly to no one in particular. She looked towards her fellow students, and her eyes slid to the other non-partnered kids. Now to wait for an answer. |
TEAM BAYLUX! he he Quote:

Jasmine and still room for a young 'un if you don't have a partner xD SPOILER!!: "Jasmine"[QUOTE=Daydreamer11;11619799 Cris smiled gratefully when Jasmine agreed to be his partner. "Whew! thanks for agreeing. I have to admit that you're my favorite partner," Cris replied as he followed Jasmine and the Professors towards to the other side of the lake. Their family had winged horses back home and he loved to help groom and ride them. But these were creatures who weren't familiar with him, which meant that he had to be careful approaching them for the first time. |
"Fixate." As in, I fixate my fist around your wallet now. That was simple enough. Cutty considered what sort of winged horse would suit him best. He liked the idea of speed being on his side, but a hardy animal that could stand a firm grasp could work as a B option. His eagerness, however didn't last too long as the prospect of partnering up reared it's ugly head. Wait a minute. He was near Bev. She wasn't likely to make a terrible partner either with her eagerness and academic prowess. "Alright! Everyone hands off! Wayne's mine!" Better act quickly or all the best shall be taken by all the rest. Quote:
"Hey Marisol! Want to join me and Beverly Wayne and be on the best team that ever this class shall see?" He asked the little first year wiggling his eyebrows a bit for...effect? |
Partner anyyyyone? "Fixate," he gave the spell one more practice go as he noticed everyone else was starting to simmer down as well. Oooh more instructions. Were they gonna practice the movement now? Yeah? Yeahh? or not. Eugh. Partners? Did they haaaave tooo? Zander looked away from his professor and at the chaotic mess of everyone searching to complete their pair. This was going to be a lot harder than it looked. Zander raised a hand up in the air and looked around. "Uhum, anyone still need a partner?" he asked rather quietly. Ahem, Professors could he have a microphone? It's kind of difficult to talk over a bazillion noisy Hogwarts students. But he oh so desperately needed a partner. But for now he'd just walk around the pack of students looking like a lost puppy. Maybe someone would come up to him? |
Anybody wanna snag ths boy? *offers cookies* It wasn't even far into the lesson and he was already sunk into his clothes like a turtle and was extremely shaking. He tried to practice the incantation, but all that managed out was, "F-F-F-F." It was just a simple word. Fixate. FIXATE. The boy summoned all his will to stop shaking, sort of worked, and popped out of his warm clothing shell, "A-Anyone wanna p-partner u-up?" He needs to get accommodate to this weather again, fast. |
Catch up :: Cutty + Marisol Right. It was just a stupid myth. She probably shouldn't have asked that. It is considered unlucky for someone to have witnessed another one's death... Beverly gulped and nodded. It WAS unlucky and...she was doing that thing again. She was numbing her feelings. It's gotten easier to do so. Shaking herself out of her thoughts, she put on a brave face, as if none of this was affecting her, and turned her gaze toward Professor Fuller. Numb. Besides, there were winged horses and she HAD to learn stuff and...chill. Taking a deep breath she repeated the charm in her head. Fixate. Easy peasy. "Fixate," she tried aloud. It was pretty simple, yeah? Being a perfectionist, the Slytherin tried it some more. "Fixate...Fix-ate...Fixate!" Beverly was tempted to practice the wand movement when Professor Fuller spoke again. Were they going to get to pet the winged horses? RIDE THEM? It'd cheer her up a bunch. But why partners? She worked better alone. BAH. Either way, she stood to follow the professors and glanced around-- Cutty Mordaunt said what? Beverly was about to break out into her little speech of how she was no ones. She belonged to NO ONE. She was her own person and...well, it went on and on, but she was a clever girl. And it was Cutty. Dusting her robes, she shrugged a shoulder. Of course, he wanted her. Ha! "Sure," she said coolly. Marisol too? Sure, why not? The girl was okay in Beverly's book so far. "Keep that up and you'll scare her away." She smirked. No. Don't wiggle those eyebrows, Cutty Mordaunt. |

What wasn't was the idea of finding partners. Er. The boy looked up and around as people went this way and that and partnered up with people. Jeez, he needed to pick someone to partner up with already otherwise he'd end up alone. Or, worse, he'd end up with someone who knew nothing about anything and insisted on hugging him every five seconds. He'd look like a right ol' loser then. And then he spotted a person. THE person. Yes, yes, this one will do well. Smirking slightly, the boy got up and headed over towards Mr Flirty over there who seemed to have all the tips on how to flirt via owl. "Yoooooooooooo," he said, "Wanna partner up with me?" And why was he shaking so much? Was it because of the weather? It probably was. |
"Fixate," Arista tried aloud. It was pretty simple! Just in case though the Gryffndor gave it a few more tries, "Fixate...Fix-ate...Fixate...Fixate!" Okay so that was fun but could they do something now. Wait what partners?? She looked around, anyone? Anyone? Sigh guess she should start asking around. Hearing someone speak up she looked at him and dang someone snagged him. Guess she actually had to say something, she shouted out, thankful that she could be loud when needed. "Anyone need a partner still?" Because she did. |
Partner Anyone??? Practical portion of the lesson!? Ah yes! This is what Kace was waiting for. He was more of the hands on guy than answering logical questions. But he needed a partner for the lesson. He was gonna as Declan but he saw Grayson snagged him. He smiled and then continued to look for someone else. He walked around and asked, "Anyone need a partner!?" |
Text Cut: GRRRAAAAYSSOONN Dec lifted both his legs, one by one, to make sure they hadn't frozen stuck to the ground. He sincerely got scared for second. Imagine that. Everyone just started moving towards the professors and he would be stuck like a kid who's tongue froze to a metal bar only less painful. He spotted Kace coming towards him, a smile formed under his scarf, but then he spotted that kid, even closer, coming towards him. The smile fell. Nopenopenopenope. Not that wisecrack! He'll catch his friend's attention, yes, he'll do that. "K-K-K-K!" What?! Nononononononono. "K-K-KA-KA!" Too late. The kid was right in front of him, 'yooooo'-ing him. HOW DARE HE. Declan kept quiet, staring at the guy, hoping that maybe some miracle would happen in the next few seconds. Nope. He was partners with this guy. "F-F-Fine." Glare. May the best smirker win. Wait, no. They were partners, now. The best smirkers are going to win. |

"Of course I do." This was her perfect opportunity to show her sister that she did still have time for her. The first year linked her arm with her sister's arm and drug her over to where the professors were. "I hope we get to ride them." Maybe they were going to use the charm on each other, you know to 'place' them on the horse. Heh. |
Cassie was paying attention as she stood near the Thestral and her excitement was just growing. It was so much fun to watch her old classmates lead the lesson. They were talking about winged horses, one of her favorite animals. Looking towards the ones across the lake she hesitated a bit. Rubbing her temples again she moved to see the students. They were partnering up, oh could she help with something? Though she didn't ask since they knew she'd help if they needed, but would the students? Seeing the men move she took the moment to walk around and watch the students more. They were practicing so well. She started snapping, they all got happy snaps. It was just exciting to see them doing such great jobs. Looking back towards the frozen lake. Maybe she should be over there with the professors, though she was just observing so she might need to just stay where she was. Hmm what to do. Though he had said to follow them, so she turned on her heel which she was closer to the frozen lake then first thought, slipping she fell. Whoops, the blonde was now on the ground giggling to herself. How embarrassing even in heels it seemed this lake had it out for her. |

Zander kept walking around in circle to try to find someone. This was like a bad game of hide and seek. Except no one was really hiding? Just Zander seeking? Okay... So nothing like hide and seek. But ooh! Someone needs a partner? Zander turned around at the sound of an unfamiliar voice. The kid was already walking up to him and introducing himself and wow! This could not have been easier. "Hi, Simon," Simon, Holden. "I'm Zander," he replied and then quickly after adding, "Uh, Adair, Zander Adair" Did he do that right? "I wonder what kind of crazy thing they're gonna make us do," he said with a chuckle. |
Oh, GOOD. They were going to see the winged horses now. Mo started forward immediately, shouldering his satchel and holstering his wand as he walked. And then it sort of hit him... he needed a partner, right? They were doing this task in pairs, right? He glanced around wildly before spotting Lex looking determinedly unengaged by the madness around them. There. That was his partner right there. Lex was good fun. "You're my partner," Mo tapped her shoulder and gave her a broad smile. "Any objections?" |
Slight catchup too Quote:
Trying to focus again, Lex realized most of the practice time was gone and she still hadn't given the spell a go. Granted she already KNEW this spell but the Professors might have wanted to see some effort, you know? She could show effort. "Fixate...Fix-ate....Fiiiixate..." Were they watching? Did they see her trying this simple spell like she was completely engrossed in the lesson? She would have put herself through the tedious task of going through the incantation again but then they were calling for partners? Huh? What? Had she missed something? They could get to the horses now? Neat, if only she had a partn--That was actually easier than she thought. When a wild Mo appeared and tagged you as a partner with that wide smile of his, there was nothing to do but grin, because no effort would be exerted on you part, and go "Nope. None Partner!" She gave a casual look around before eyeing Mo again. "Did Thompson really call him Piersy?" |
