"So. I wonder what it's like to be at the school during the summer." Cat wondered aloud, her curious thoughts directed toward the statue she was sitting beside. She bit a grape in half and brought her legs beneath her, sitting like an Indian chief. "Bet it's cool and super boring, actually, probably just boring." She tilted her head and glanced up at the statue, having to lean away to see the top and probably hurting her neck. "I bet you'd have had more fun if you were in the same corridor as your hump-backed girlfriend. I always have loads of fun with my boyfriend. He doesn't have a hump-back though. He has a very nice back, actually."

Hmm. What was she saying again?

"I'm starting to feel threatened by Boris," Mo appeared, scooting down the corridor on his skateboard and then throwing himself at Cat's feet when he arrived. He shook her shoe hello.

"It's boring, if you want to know. Vivi and Fee told me that the professors aren't even here, and the house elves are busy cleaning, so it's just dull. They hated it." And he didn't remember it, so... he'd have to take their word for it. "Hi, pretty girlfriend face. Put that grape in my mouth, ok?" And he opened his mouth for grapes.

Oh! The boyfriend with the nice back! There he was! Cat grinned excitedly as Mo appeared and nodded to Boris. "See, B. That's my boyfriend. I told you he's handsome." With another nod, she focused her attention to Mo and just kept grinning. He was bringing her boring news though. Boring summers at Hogwarts. "Did you ever spend a summer here?" It probably was super boring cause there were no friends here. Unless you counted Boris and the squid in the lake, that is.

Leaning forward, Cat placed the other half of her grape on Mo's tongue and then kissed his cheek. "Hi. We were just talking about you."

Mo scooted over so he could pillow his head on Cat's leg and sprawl his long legs out into the corridor. Since they were going to sit here in the middle of the corridor, Mo intended to make himself as comfortable as possible. He peered upside down at Cat, who was just as pretty right side and upside and sideways and all.

"No, they moved to Branthwaite right after I was born, and I never really even lived here. Viv and Fee did, though, but I think they make most of it up." He wanted MORE grapes and opened his mouth for Cat to put ze grapes RIGHT THERE.

"You seem to be doing most of the talking. Is Boris the quiet type?"

"I feel like they didn't take enough advantage of it. I bet there's a ton of fun that could be had if you were alone in a castle like this." It was a magic school for Merlin's sake! "Bet me and you could find ALL the cool fun things to do." Cause they were good at that. Adventuring. Cat wrinkled her nose at Mo when he opened his mouth again. He was trying to steal her grapes by being cute. She was on to this game. She pulled this all the time. Taking another grape from the bag, Cat bit it in half and put the other half of it on Mo's tongue. Sharing is caring.

"Maybe he's jealous because you're here now and you're taking up all of my attention." Cat grinned. He was getting 80% of her attention, the other 20% was used up between the grapes and her buzzing brain activity because she was never ever still.

"You can only have so much fun to be had when you're five and being herded around by house elves," Mo watched Cat upside down and grinned fondly at her passion over something so simple as living at in a castle. What did she care, unless she was planning on living and raising kids here someday herself? "We already know most of the fun things. D'you suppose there's anything we haven't discovered yet?"

She was being SO stingy with the grapes, and Mo grumbled as he chewed the half he'd been given. "I'm jealous. I want grapes. Don't I deserve more than half a grape at..." He turned his attention back to Cat and smiled winningly. Upside down. "I have a chocolate frog."

Cat wasn't sure about the house elf part, but she was quite certain that five year old her would have had a LOT of fun in an empty Hogwarts, and probably would have gotten very lost very often and scared her parents a lot. Hmm. It sounded like fun! Tilting her head, Cat looked down at Mo and smiled. "There's always something to discover, Marcus Branxton." She tapped a finger on his forehead lightly and ran it down his nose where she tapped again.

"You're getting grapes. We're sharing. It's very cute of us." Cat selected a whole grape and wiggled it at him as he talked. "Oh? Oh? Are you going to share?" Of course he was!

Right?

"I'm up for discovering all sorts of things with you, Caterina." Mo watched her with the grape, completely undeterred by the fact that she was bopping him on the nose. He wanted the grape. He deserved it, really.

He was offering her a chocolate frog, or half of one, and that was worth all the grapes. When it wiggled too close to him, Mo snagged at the grape and attempted to steal it from her. "You can have the head?"

Aww. Cat grinned very, very happily. "All sorts of things in all sorts of places, yes?" Because they had a list. A list of places to be going and seeing and loving. So many places to go. She grabbed the bag of grapes, which was sort of on the large side because it was kind of her lunch, and placed it on Mo's stomach. Easy reach for him, easy reach for her, they both won!

Yay! Chocolate frog! "Alright. I'll take it." She leaned over slightly to see the chocolate frog wrapper, "Who do you think is on the card?"

Tired of the cold Cassie had went on her many walks through the castle. Keeping the layers and sipping on her hot chocolate the Divination professor found herself on the fifth floor. She looked around and walked a bit slower. Her class was over for the day and she could put off marking.


So when she came across Boris she smiled. Looking at the statue thinking about how much she would love to just switch his gloves for him. He looked so flustered and even though it was just a statue the happy go lucky woman didn't like seeing anything flustered or unhappy.

Connor was wandering around the castle as he tended to do. His book tucked under his arm, at the moment he was reading the complete works of Edgar Allen Poe, next on the list was the Brothers Grimm, he loved fairytales, especially the gruesome ones.

Then he noticed Professor Morgan, she was nice. He liked her and he skills were very interesting. He wasn't a skeptic at all, magic was magic honestly. "Hello, Professor." He grinned at her, she was always in a good mood. Connor tried to be like that lately but he was finding it harder to do.

Cassie was still looking at the statue lost in her thoughts when she heard someone speak. Looking over she smiled at Connor. "Hello, how are you doing? Keeping warm I hope." Interesting corridor to run into anyone, but maybe he was out for a walk as well. Without the grounds it was a creative way for exercise. She couldn't wait for her exercise day with Nessa.

Glancing down at the book he was carrying she was impressed, "Edgar Allen Poe. Not really my type of reading, but a very interesting read for a fourth year." She glanced back at the statue before turning her attention towards the student. "So what brings you to the corridor? Just out getting some exercise?" She was so others probably were too.

Connor was glad to see a smiling face, so many of his peers were not smiling by this point in the term. Cabin Fever as he'd labeled it seemed to be getting to most everyone. "As good as I can be." There was a lot more to this than the cold, mainly his girl troubles. But he wasn't sure if he should unburden himself to a professor? He didn't know her that well and his issues were his own fault and idiotic at best. "Walking around seems to be the best way to keep from feeling trapped." He looked at the statue, there sure were a lot of statues here. Salem was slightly more modern, having been built much later so there weren't nearly as many.

He looked to his book and then back up at her. "Oh, i love Poe. His work is a bit dark but it also holds little bits of truth.. i'm a fifth year though, i was reading this last year as well." He smiled and wasn't offended he saw it as a compliment. "Honestly he's one of my heroes. I want to be a writer when I graduate." So he often had his nose in a book and certain stories of Poe's always had him interested. "How are you doing, Professor? You seem to be taking this all pretty well."

Cassie watched Connor carefully as he answered her question. "I know it's hard to be okay with it so cold. You would never know it was the middle of May." It really felt like it was still January or February. "Walking is a great form of exercise. I try to do a nice walk at least once a day. Though if you want something different. Professor Glendower and I are going to be forming a little exercise class to keep warm and get moving. So you are welcome to come." It was going to be just super fun!

"Oh gosh Conner I'm sorry. I've never been one to be good with names and apparently years. Though being my first term here it gets a little confusing trying to remember everyone." She was getting a hang on the names, but years she was apparently still screwing up. "It's fabulous that you have such a plan already. I'd love to read your work. Reading is one of my favorite things." She read everything she could. "When I was here as a student I was in the library a lot." With her animal sensing gift, she had plenty of alone time until Nessa got to school and well when she met Javy.

Looking back up at the young man she couldn't help but smile and nod. "What's not to do well about? I'm here, safe, well, and have all of you to look after. It couldn't be any better." She always looked towards the positive and being snowed in was not negative in her eyes.

Simon took a seat on the floor near the statue and pulled out his notebook. Ah, it was nice and quiet in the corridor by the statue so this was the perfect place to get some theories down on the page about the weather. Who could be after it? What was their motive? And why attack Hogwarts?

With a notebook in his hand, he began scribbling down ideas. He paused occasionally to admire the statue that was wearing his gloves on the wrong hands. Simon chuckled and continued scribbling down ideas.

He needed to get all of the theories out; otherwise, he felt as if he'd go mad!

After that long conversation they'd had yesterday, CB was oh so ready to go and meet Simon with her list of... well... everyone in school. Professors included. Clipboard, quill, and ink in hand she bopped down the corridor in search of the Slytherin boy.

She didn't have to look very hard apparently.

Seeing him seated there, a little grin rose to her lips and she inched closer. "Hi Simon!" She sat down across from him, folding her legs under herself and flipped through her parchment. "These are all the names I got. I listed them by year and then alphabetically. I also crossed off the ones we said definitely weren't the culprit. Like this one." She pointed to her own name and blushed a little, yesterday's discussion briefly crossing her mind.

"How's it look?" Everything was written in her sparkly pink ink. She used black ink to cross out her own name as well as the others they discussed.

He reviewed his list, checked it twice to see who had been naughty or nice. By the time he had finished doing so, he heard footsteps approach him. Simon looked up to see CB there taking a seat across from here. A smile immediately graced his lips. She looked so darn cute with the pieces of parchment.

Uhh..

Focus Simon.

Right focusing. "Hi CB! Awesome. That's absolutely brilliant," he said, flushing a little bit at how wonderful the Ravenclaw was. Truly, she was incredible. "Are you certain that we should have crossed that one out? She's way too cute not to consider as a suspect!" He blushed like a fool. Whoops? Said that outloud didn't I? he thought. Ahem. FOCUS MAN. "I...I have my notebook here filled with reports about how it started to get cold as well as suspicious suspects too." It was his top secret notebook that he only shared with a select few: Ethan, Zander, and Agatha. He opened it up and began flicking the pages.

"Its perfect even the pink sparkly ink is a nice addition. It shows style," he said with a grin. Style was good for a detective in training to have. Very good indeed.

The fifth year nodded. "Is it? I feel like i keep forgetting what month it is. Honestly i would have guessed early March." He joked though it did seem like this term was just gonna drag on forever and ever and never stop. The snow would just fall and they would all of them just live and die in this castle. Merlin. "Yeah? I'd like that. My friend Jun and I have been looking to do some exercise but with the outside closed i can't exactly jog like i normally would." It did seem potentially dangerous, with moving staircases and all that mess.

Connor grinned, she was very nice to say sorry about an honest mistake like that. He didn't mind. "It's fine, really. It's my first year here too technically so i get it, There's a lot to remember especially as a professor." He could only imagine trying to keep track of every student, that had to be hard. "It's not too detailed of a plan, I just always loved it and I'd rather do something that i love if i can, so i plan on it." He was always surprised when someone wanted to read something he wrote. Though he never turned down the chance for some constructive criticism. "Well, i wouldn't mind letting you sometime if you promise to tell me what you think?" That was always his one condition.

He could think of a lot of reason not to have a positive outlook on things at the moment, most of them were snowflakes. "The castle isn't that bad like this, some people i don't mind being snowed in with, you know? Others I could really do without the close proximity." A few people, a certain Hufflepuff in particular he tried not to notice when he walked around the school....mmhmm.
