Image credited to Govoni The Black Lake lies behind the castle and though it may seem like the water is calm on the surface, you will learn that that is not the case underwater. Creatures have made it their home from Merpeople to Grindylows. The most notable is Bartholomew Henry, the Giant Squid. The lake is a beautiful place for you to hang out.
Mr.Kirby has built a dock and lowered a step ladder down into the water. Roping off a small swimming area for Anyone to come take a dip in the Lake. The Ropes also prevents Grindylows and other unwanted magical creatures of the Lake from disturbing your swim. That doesn't mean you won't feel a Fish, or Frog brush past your leg every now and then. The ladder will be absent during Fall and Winter Months, and will not be present until Mid Spring once the weather is warm enough.

She was special to him and nothing would ever change that.
Her softly whispered, me too, tugged at his heartstrings. The way she looked at him made his heart skip...like it was dancing for joy. He wanted to reach out and cup her face in the palm of his hand but instead reached out and threaded his fingers with hers. He smiled gently at her as his thumb softly stroked the top of her fingers.
They were talking about birthdays, so Cris tried to concentrate on what Jasmine was saying, even though his eyes kept darting to her lips instead. Not wanting to be caught staring, he mentally shook himself and refocussed on the conversation.
"Ice skate? I didn't know you skated? I speed skate competitively. Maybe one of these days, we could skate together. I for one, would like to try some miniature golf. I haven't played that since I was this high," Cris raised his free hand about three feet off the ground.
He laughed when she described the cake she loved. "Yellow cake and lots of icing huh...the better to smear your face with kind of icing?" he teased her before continuing.
"Yes seriously, we had food fights back home. Of course we were made to clean up after we were done, but those were the best birthday parties ever. I myself love Chocolate layered cake with fresh banana inside. Yes I know it sounds weird, but actually it takes really good, especially the ones my mother baked," he explained.
Just the memory of when he last ate such a cake, made him smile fondly. He made a mental note to himself to OWL his mother to make and send one to him.
"Favorite food? I love chicken salad, spaghetti and meat sauce, shepherd's pie and Rocky Road ice cream. What about you? What's your favorite?" he asked in return. Cris liked the way they were revealing stuff about themselves to each other. This was way cooler than having to dig it out from the other person. And for some reason, he didn't feel uncomfortable telling her. He trusted her.
Honestly, Jasmine could not imagine feeling any happier than she did at that moment. Being outside on a beautiful day with Cris, what could be better? When he took her hand and began to stroke her fingers she thought that she might start to hyperventilate. She couldn't take her eyes off of his face, his beautiful eyes. Jasmine didn't want the moment to end. So many thoughts and feelings were going through her head and her heart right then. Could Cris have any idea what he was doing to her? Could he possibly be feeling anything close to what she was feeling?
Then wait, what was he asking her? Oh ice skating. "Yes I skate, but I'm not all that good at it. I'm just at the birthday party level. You know, nothing fancy." Jasmine hadn't known that Cris skated competitively, but she could definitely believe it. "I knew that you skated , but not competitively. My, you are a man of many talents. You know, I wonder if the Room of Requirement could turn into a miniature golf course for us. I'll have to give that a try one day."
So Cris loved chocolate cake with bananas. Jasmine would definitely have to remember that. She was sure that would come in handy one day......soon. She listened carefully, as Cris revealed his favorite foods. "I can agree with you on all of those. They are all delicious. I would have to say my favorites are lasagna, gumbo and birthday cake, oh and bread pudding. Sharing was nice. It was good to learn more about each other, no?

Vinnie had decided to go talk a way around the grounds. It was always nice to have some fresh air. She had been at the library for too long again but these history books just ate her up. If she wanted to the Slytherin could sleep at the library. But she'd probably get detention for that. And now that she made friends, spending all her time with the books didnt seem like a good idea.
Without realising the fifth year made her way down the pathway, to the lake. Humming to herself she skipped along until she reached the lake. Oh... someone was here already. A girl. Oh well.
As Vinnie was looking for a good space to sit for a little she recognised the girl. It was Charlie. Oh my god, how had she not noticed before. Snort. With a grin on her face the brunette approached her friend and house mate. „ Hey you“, she came to stop next to her,“ what you doing out here on your own?“
Deciding to start with her letter to Tristan first, Charlie chewed at the end of her pencil before scribbling the words. Tristy, how're you? I hope your job is going great and that you're enjoying it. I miss you. Being an adult is weird, though. And then she stopped, pausing to chew the end of her pencil again. What else did he need to know? The sixth year pushed her glasses further up her nose before being startled out of her thoughts by a very familiar voice.
"Vin!" This girl got super big grins and patted the ground next to her. She'd dried it and everything so it was perfectly fine to sit on. And Charlie enjoyed Vinnie's company a LOT, so she wanted her almost-should-be-sister to join her. "Letter writing." There were nods, and Charlie waved the paper at her friend before putting her pencil behind her ear.
And now it was her turn. "I could ask you the same thing." Giggles and grins for you.

Cris laughed, "I believe the Room of Requirements can be anything you want it to be. Even a miniature golf course. We could try asking for that, or we could ask the Groundskeeper if he could make one up for us. I'm sure there will be other students who would be interested to play the game too," he suggested, chuckling as he visualized himself holding one of those teeny golf clubs and hitting one of those tiny golf balls.
So they had the same taste in foods too. The fact that they had so much in common still amazed him. It was like Jasmine was his twin in so many ways....or his soul mate? Was it possible that she was? His soulmate? But he had only just met her. Even as Cris struggled to comprehend the possibility that Jasmine could possibly be IT, his attention was drawn to her lips again.
He didn't know why but he had this sudden urge to know how they would feel and taste. Would they be soft and taste like strawberries? He wanted desperately to know. Without him realizing it, his head began dipping down to meet hers.

Jasmine was busy visualizing a miniature golf course at Hogwarts. How much fun would that be? She was loving this Room of Requirement already. The possibility of a dance studio and mini golf.......was there anything else they could come up with? Jasmine was just about to comment about it when she noticed Cris staring at her, really staring. Looking back at him, she was taken in by the intensity of his gaze. She wondered what he was thinking.........and then she knew.
Cris came closer and closer and Jasmine instinctively leaned forward to meet him half way. When their lips touched, it was it was the most incredible feeling that Jasmine had ever experienced. Her heart was beating so fast, she thought it might jump out of her chest. Either that or she would faint from the pure joy of the kiss. It ended much too soon and Jasmine looked at Cris with wide eyes. In her head she was thinking, "Did that really happen or was I dreaming?".
Suddenly feeling shy, Jasmine dropped her eyes briefly before looking up with a smile. "That was nice, very nice.". It was her first real kiss. The first that really meant something. Did he know? It was so beautiful and Jasmine wanted to remember every second of it. She kept her eyes on Cris and suddenly feeling bolder, decided that it was her turn now. She reached out and gently touched his face. Then her fingers found their way to his lips and slowly traced a path around them. They were so soft and so gentle. All that Jasmine could think was what an amazing person Cris was and how lucky she was to have found him.

All that Jasmine could think was what an amazing person Cris was and how lucky she was to have found him.
Somehow he had found himself in heaven...or somewhere equally nice. That's how Cris felt the moment Jasmine's lips met his. His heart had stopped beating a long time ago...either that or it was dancing for joy so fast, that he couldn't tell whether it was beating or not. He wanted the kiss to last forever and was dismayed when it ended too soon.
Opening his eyes...he discovered later, that he must have closed them when their lips met, he gazed deep into Jasmine's eyes. When she dropped them for a brief moment, Cris first thought that she was ashamed for having kissed him and now regretted her actions. But then when she raised eyes and smiled at him, all Cris could do was smile back in response.
Speechless, all he could do was nod in agreement when she admitted the kiss had been nice. Heck yes it was nice. It was more than nice. It was totally breathtaking and the first kiss that confounded him. Yes, he had kissed a girl before, but never had a kiss made him feel Cris so many things at the same time. Happy. Excited. Confused. Elated. Confused. Spellbound. Confused. That can we do it again kind of feeling.
When Jasmine reached out to touch him, Cris willingly leaned forward to meet her. His breath caught in his chest as her fingers brushed against his lips. Pursing his lips, he kissed her fingers as they slowly traced their way around his lips. Capturing her hand with his, Cris looked deep into her eyes and whispered "You are so beautiful" softly to her. Then he leaned down and kissed her again.
He was right. Her lips were soft and tasted like sweet strawberries.

Okay there is no way she actually got a shot for cooties, do they even make those? Cooties aren't even real! He literally just made it up to make her uneasy. But yet this girl had an excuse for everrryyything. "Well even if there are shots to cure cooties, how am I supposed to know you actually got one? Huh? Where's the proof?" Ha. Don't have a way out of that one do you firstie? "And I'll have you know, I have a lotta knowledge about cooties," yeah. "I read a book all about them," well technically no. He read a lot of books about a lot of things, but not about cooties BECAUSE THEY AREN'T EVEN REAL. "How do YOU know about cooties?" Hmmmm?
Why does everyone question his househood? He was put in Gryffindor, end of story okay. "First off, it's pronounced HuffLEpuff, not hufferpuff. And secondly, the hat definitely said Gryffindor. Gryffindor and Hufflepuff don't even sound the same!" Hmph. "And for the last time I'M NOT LOONY OKAY?" Could a 'loony one' even carry out a conversation? I think not! "What will it take to convince you?" He could do plenty of things unloony. Like ride a bike. Loony people can't ride bikes. That takes way too much coordination. And he can do arithmancy homework, ocasionally, arithmancy takes an unloony brain to do. And he can even spell the word hippopotamus right. Loony people can't do that. SEEE not loony.
"Well I don't even like badgers. So I can't be a hufflepuff," If that was her reasoning then he'd use it to. What were badgers even like anyways? Plus yellow is definitely not his color. And hufflepuffs were way too touchy-feely and huggy and friendshipy and lovey-dovey and always happy and overly cheerful and no. Not a hufflepuff. Not Zander.
"Well wizards need wands for magic so I'd assume everyone needs a wand for magic? I think.." He didn't know much about magicky wandy things. "And I wasn't talking about the wearing kind of genes," silly little girl "I was talking about the genes in your body with your genetic code and.... never mind. You wouldn't understand." She was just a silly little firstie who believed that her snowglobe can see and that cooties are real. "Either way the squid just doesn't do magic, but he watches us do magic all the time."
Ah the one time this girl wasn't being an insufferable know-it-all. She looked so peaceful and unobtrusive and happy. "I promise to help you build snow-stuff, if you promise not to call me a hufflepuff? Think about it. We could build a whole snow village!" *wiggles eyebrows* This would also be a good time to mention that once winter is over all the snow-things will melt and she will be left with a puddle of water and disappointment, but she looked so happy. Zander would keep that little gem for when she started annoying him again.
A germ shot? Those definitely didn't exist. But he'd play along... "Do you think the healer would have one of those? In the hospital wing?" They weren't even reaaaaal. But if they were and the hospital wing were to have boy germ shots, then Zander could get one and finally convince this girl that he was boy-germ free. Then maybe she would like him. And not think he was a hufflepuff. Which he wasn't. He was totally 100%ly a Gryffindor ok.
"Shhh, you ask too many questions," Goodness gracious did she have an off button? "He's big enough to see with your own eyes. You don't need a 'lookie thing', that's why he's called the GIANT squid," DUHHHH, had she not been listening to a word he said? "You missed it!? He just came up. You were supposed to be looking!" Zander felt emotionally drained. This girl was a handful, that's for sure. Sigh. "I'm sure he'll make another appearance? Maybe we have to call him?"
How did she have proof? This boy was silly. "My mommy put it on my immunimizational records," Ellinia said proudly with a grin. See, she got all her shots and stuff like a big girl. And she had tried her best not to cry too so she was a big girl. But she was going to ignore the whole part where even though she tried not to cry, she did. "Why did you read a book about cooties? Did you read one about snowmen? Can you read me a book about snowmen?" Ellinia liked snowmen. Snowmen were cute and pretty. "My sisters told me all about cooties. And snowmen. You should read me a book about snowmen." And if he asked why the answer was snowman. That one word was good enough.
The girl was about five hundred percent sure that loony boy was lying about the pronunciation of the house names. "So you're telling me you're not a Hufferpuff?" she asked. Because she wasn't quite sure. He was confusing her. Ellinia didn't like that. And the boy was most definitely loony, especially since he was asking her how he could prove to her that he wasn't loony. She pretended to think for a bit before grinning.
"You could read me a story about snowmen!"
Because that wasn't loony at all and she liked snowmen. A lot.
What did he have against badgers? What were badgers? "Why don't you like badgers?" She put the thing on her list of things to find out. She would probably have to go to a book palace and find the book about these weird creatures. They sounded like bat guys to her and she had a feeling they were not half bat, half man creatures. If they were, they were terrifying and loony boy had the right to not like them.
That was confusing. "So if I don't have a wand... I can't do magic?" Ellinia asked, eyes wide. "Then how come when we don't have wands an we're little we can accidentally make things happen?" she asked. Because that was confusing. Her whole face scrunched up in thought before she let out a breath. She didn't want to think about it. It made her snowman's brain hurt. What were jeans? "I don't get it." He was making her snowman's head hurt even more. "I think someone should give the squid their wand and let him do magic." Because it'd be nice for him to do it too instead of watching everyone else do it. "Give him yours."
...
He had a good idea. Ellinia thought about it for a minute before nodding her head. "And we'll get hot chocolate? And we'll build an ice castle?" she asked, eyes wide and hopeful. She wanted an ice castle to jump around in and put her snow globes in. "I want to be the princess of the whole snow village," she added. And she wanted a crown and a stick but she had a wand so she supposed she didn't need the stick. And she also wanted him to be the horsey to give her rides around the village but she'd ask him about that when the time came.
Healer? Hospital wing? What? There was a hospital here? Ellinia hadn't seen a red cross anywhere. She stared at the boy a bit blankly before she shrugged. "Idunno," she replied before petting her snow globe a bit. He was weird. She was a first year, how was she supposed to have all of the answers? He was older so he should have more answers than she did. Silly loony boy.
"I don't ask that many questions." Since when were questions bad? Her mommy always told her to ask questions. It was a way to learn. "Well, I didn't see him!" Ellinia said, pouting. And she had kinda really wanted to. "How do we call him? Does he have a cellie phone? My mommy has one but she wouldn't let me take it here." Which was a shame because there were loads of games on it and she liked all of them.

Cutty broke the surface of the lake, rapidly ascending upward to take a deep breath after having been under for some time. His pockets bulged and sagged with their fill of gillyweed. He made his way over to the water's edge and climbed out of the lake shivering from the cold. He looked around before he dug through a small patch of bush gathering his things and heading back toward the castle.

Even though it was getting a bit colder, that mattered not to Vesper Bayliss. Sleet nor snow could hinder le yoga, considering quidditch had been viciously ripped away from them this year. It was a safety issue, she understood...but that didn't make her miss it any less.
It just seemed so wrong that someone would want to hurt teenage players...and Ves definitely didn't want to see any of her friends hurt because of a game, no matter how fun it was.
Anywaaaaaaaay, to make up for that throbbing EMPTY HOLE in her chest (that was missing the sport), she'd been doing yoga more aggressively...if anything she did could be called aggressive. That's where she was headed today...Out to the grounds with her yoga mat and water bottle...Meeting up with Derry and getting out some of her frustration. Yoga was good for that. Very relaxing and whatnot.
Arriving at the lake, she went ahead and stretched out her mat to begin warming up...Derry would be there soon, right?

Derry was more than a little dubious about this whole yoga thing. She preferred karate. You got to hit stuff and it really vented frustration... but she did need to relax, and it was just unhealthy to carry on the way she had been doing. Not that she was going to stop. She was just testing the water as it were.
Besides... it couldn't hurt to try. She wandered down to the lake - really? They had to do this THERE? ....meh - and scanned for Vesper, having already shrugged off her jacket and slung it over her shoulder. She was Scottish. She could do cold.
She glanced at the lake and shuddered a bit... ugh. Her feelings about the thing fluctuated along with her moods, and right now she wasn't too keen to get close. Luckily, Ves wasn't too near to the edge. Derry walked over to her, quickly slipping off her shoes (wet grass was lovely). "Hey." she said, offering a smile. "Teach me your waaays."
Ascanius was feeling heaps better then he had the past few days. His head was on a positive spin, at least today, and he had energy for days. And what was the best way to spend energy? Ogling yoga doers. Obviously. Wasn't that what everyone did now that Quidditch was canceled?
Oh yeah. Now that they didn't have Quidditch an entire grounds of students were left to their own devices. Teenagers. With hormones. And boredom.
That was the professors problems, though, not his, yeah?
Grabbing his jacket and a blanket, Ascanius went down to the lake for recreational watching.
He set up his blanket and smirked at Derry first, "Snaps," and then Vesper, "Afternoon, Ves."
Adelaide stood by the lake, catching her breath from her run and tossing stones. People probably thought she was insane running in this during this chilly weather but she couldn't stand running in jumpers. She just got warm faster.
She looked around and saw a group of people gathering. There was that Vesper girl from quidditch, Oh! and Derry and Ascanius. She hadn't said hi to Ascanius since she got back. Plus she was curious as to what they were doing.
Addi threw the last pebble and wandered over to the little group. "Hey Derry. Ascanius." She gave Vesper a little nod. She hadn't really talked to the girl much. Just quidditch. Which was gone. Which was awful.
Benjy had heard rumours of yoga happening in the grounds, involving a certain member of the Hogwarts student body. And whilst he despised the activity himself, despite Mo's best efforts, it hadn't taken a lot of thought to realise spectating might be well worth his time.
And goodness knew he had a LOT of time to spend, with the gaping empty hole left by the cancellation of quidditch.
He skateboard casually down to the action...or at least, as casually as he could after seeing Vesper's BARE legs. Merlin, wasn't she cold? STARE.
...he was just gonna plop down on his skateboard over here and watch, yup. Don't mind us.
Nigel gets the weirdest songs stuck in his head. He did not even know the name to this one. But was humming along to it anyway, on the way to the Lake. He had done enough Yoga in his life already with Mo's yoga things the last couple terms.
So watching sounds much more fun this time. Plus he had more free time then he thought with Quidditch cancelled this term.
He settled down next to Ascanius, who he assumed was here for the same reason.
"Afternoon, Everyone"

“Unpractical, gosh no. I’m five foot I’ve been wearing heels for so long, I can’t walk without them really. Even my slippers are heels. When you always have to look up to everyone you find height anyway possible.” She giggled and waved his comment off. His sisters were very different in age, “So are you the middle child then?” She could appreciate that. She was well not really middle, but kind of. “I have three siblings. An older brother, a younger brother, and a younger sister.” Her family loved being big. It was so fun to have each other. Well most of her family anyway.
“Oh well yes we could use the drying charm.” She had her wand and could easily do that job. Her smiling and looking at the water ended with a dramatic gasp. “Won’t that hurt the worms?” Oh goodness no, she wasn’t feeling any connections to the worms, so maybe it was like spiders she didn’t sense them, but still they were a living creature. Looking from the bucket back to Leo, maybe he just wrapped them nicely around the hook, not really harming them.
She watched him rowing, smiling as they went. “Can I help with that at all?” She could try to row with that rowy things or maybe just put a charm on them to do it themselves.
"So you don't like being short at all?" Cassie's response implied as much. "But aren't there some perks with being short?" Leo wasn’t short but he wasn't exactly tall either. He was something in between. Nodding he chirped. "Yes, middle child, only boy in the family and only ex-Ravenclaw." Being a boy had had its perks sometimes but definitely not when his sister ganged up on him. "You're sort of a middle child too. Did you like growing up with older and younger siblings?" Leo queried interested to hear another perspective.
Shaking his head Leo smiled. "No, the worms will be fine. They have enough moist in the dirt in the bucket. There shouldn't be a problem since we just dry up the water inside the boat not anywhere else." If a problem were to arise he was confident that they could solve it together. "Did you like Charms in school?"
Pausing over the oars Leo said "You can try to row us out the last bit if you want? It's easy just remember to row with boars oars at the same time." Leaving the oars to Cassie he sat down in the front of the boat and started to put worms on the hooks. Soon they could fish!
Józsua was off for another one of those solitary walks around the school grounds. Studying was useless and reading wasn't happening.. plus the cats had migrated towards him in the common room so yea.. it was time to run away.
He neared the lake and then... paused... and looked.... and looked.... and LOOOOOOOKED..
Merlin on a tricycle..
Without hesitation he flopped on the grass to watch.. next to ('oh crap') Ascanius (Nevermind.. this was too good to miss) and Nigel.
A serene, innocent little smile appeared on his face.

Vesper was already down on the ground, legs kicked out to the sides to stretch her hamstrings out. Yoga could be dangerous if one didn't properly work out those muscles...and she enjoyed walking. So, no...No tearing or fracturing anything. Not allowed!
...and then Derry was walking over! She was excited about this! They hadn't got much of a chance to talk after that epic circus party Derry had thrown this summer...and Ves thought that was a shame really. Switching to pushing her upper body weight over her right leg, she grinned. "I love your mat!"
BEAM. Pretty colors, man.
SPOILER!!: Ascanius!

No tension between them, see?
...of course, her pleasant disposition faltered when Ascanius popped up.
He'd really hurt her feelings the night before...with his snapping and agitation. Ascanius had never spoken to her that way...
Ves was going to be the bigger person, though. She was here to relax and release frustations...If he wanted to be a jerk, well....It was hardly her place to care.
Cranky toerag.
SPOILER!!: Addi!

Addi threw the last pebble and wandered over to the little group. "Hey Derry. Ascanius." She gave Vesper a little nod. She hadn't really talked to the girl much. Just quidditch. Which was gone. Which was awful.
Oh, another ginger. A Slytherin one.
Vesper remembered Addi from the quidditch pitch. She'd hit her with a bludger once. Good times. Not. She wasn't bitter, though. It was name of the game, right? Some pain was involved and a given.
"Hey, Addi!" Could she call her that? Or was that just a 'friends' thing? "Do you need me to duplicate my mat for you? So you have something comfortable to do the positions on?"
I could affect posture, she'd heard somewhere, not to use one...

BLUSH.
And when had Benjy popped up?!
Yea, I see you. I SEE you sitting there, Mr. Barton.
Because of the amazing snogging, she tossed out a wink. She could do that, right?
SPOILER!!: Nigel!

So watching sounds much more fun this time. Plus he had more free time then he thought with Quidditch cancelled this term.
He settled down next to Ascanius, who he assumed was here for the same reason.
"Afternoon, Everyone"
She hadn't seen Nigel, yet...but when she stood, bending over to fix the straps on her shoes, the Ravenclaw caught a glimpse.
Well, then.
"You boys sure you don't want to do yoga? Or are you just going to watch?"
Boys. Slytherin and Ravenclaw boys. Why weren't the other houses represented here? This seemed like a statement in itself.
Not waiting for answers, she bent over again, bum facing AWAY from the group of boys, and did some more stretching.
Oh...and..."Hello, Józsua."Grin!

Derry smiled at Ves. "Thanks." she said, rolling out the mat and sitting down on it to stretch. She might not be into yoga, but she wasn't an idiot, and she knew to stretch before any form of exercise. ... And Ves seemed energetic, was she in EXTRA MEGA ENERGY zone since Quidditch? ... Derry's energy levels had been fluctuating, for a variety of reasons, and today was the first day this week that she hadn't felt completely lethargic. This seemed like a nice way to use that energy, really.
....
Her eyes narrowed at Ascanius. Did he really have to be here?
... strike that. Of course he did. Of course. Her mock glare evolved into a half grin. "You're good, yeah?" Asking if he was okay, y'know, okay okay. Cause bros.
Her attention was caught by Addi. "You're doing yoga with us." she said, beckoning. "You have no choice." Friendship! Yep. ...
She was going to say something else to Addi. But people were just gathering... loads of them.
... Well not loads, but that wasn't the point. Were they all here to watch? One remark from any of them and she'd karate master them. Maybe she should warn them... but no. They could attempt to use their brains. Not that boys were particularly well known for that.
And then there was Józsua. It was kind of hit and miss at the moment, how she would react to seeing him, but she wasn't in a terrible place today... so he got a tiny brief smile...

Even with the NEWTs looming over her and the cold already spreading outside, Penelope needed to be outside and get out some of this energy. Normally there was Quidditch for that, though even last term she'd had to find some alternate since she hadn't played. And now that would have to continue for this term, which was running. Or jogging. Or walking. Or all of that really.
She'd been running for several minutes already when she happened upon a group by the lake. Hmm? What was this?
Yoga?
She slowed, needing to catch her breath anyway. "Hey guys..." Breathe. They all got smiles, though Ascanius may have gotten a slightly bigger one. "What's up?"

Ascanius hardly missed a beat handing Nigel a pumpkin juice when he sat down next to him. No words. Just a hand off; he didn't even look away from the show. Yeah, they hadn't exactly spoken 'bout meeting down here to ogle at girls, but he had a hunch-- more like he knew his bandmate-- that Nigel would be showing up. He had a third one for West in case he showed up. S'not like it was a stretch thinking he'd make an appearance too. For reasons.
And then BOTH of his only really good female friends gave him looks. Vesper didn't even say hi, which stung. Had he done something? He couldn't remember. But women NEVER gave men that look unless they'd done something, yeah? Ugh. He was in the doghouse. Why? No idea. But he understood that feeling.
Then Snaps was going on asking if he was okay. Out of habit he touched his nose and raised an eyebrow at her. What...what was that question? "M'fine," he nodded.
More then fine 'cause he got to watch this. Great afternoon. He couldn't think of anything better. Save, y'know, Quidditch.
And at least one girl was being nice to him. He shot a wink at Adelaide. Looking good. He appreciated that they all coordinated shorts. Jeez. Heart attack inducing.
He felt another body sit beside him and was about to pass off the other pumpkin juice 'cause naturally he assumed it would be West when he saw Józsua. His jaw tightened and he put down the drink, but wasn't unpleasant. Nah, they were dorm-mates and for the LIFE of him he was going to be nice. Even if he wanted to punch his no good cheating face in. "Sup, man?"
Squint. Another person. Another guy. Why was he sitting over in the corner like that? See ogling by himself made him look creepy. It was all in good fun if they were in packs. Ascanius had it covered. He was going to fix that right... now. "Get over here, man. What are you doing?" Come join the creeper crew.
.....oh someone save his soul. His girlfriend had showed up. In shorts.
Please, oh please, oh please do yoga. Please. S'like all he ever wanted...in this one moment...today. Please, Pen.
"Yoga," he answered quickly, "You should join in...for....um...um..." He shot a look at Nigel almost searching for a word, "health reasons." His health.

"Teach me your waaays."
...
Yep.

You know who should be here? Kirby.
Mmhmm. She wasn't sold on that gym thing he was promoting, mainly because HE was doing the promotion, and she had yoga already. Yoga with Vesper. It was awesome. And today Derry will be joining, so that was cool. "Hey Vesper, Derry, Adelaide...," and then her eyes went to..., "Ascanius...," wink, "Jozsua." Smile. Yes, she did notice Nigel, that was all.
Ascanius should definitely join them, too. Yoga keeps you pretty for longer.
No shorts, no, it was cropped leggings and a light sweater for her today, because she was cold.
Then Penelope arrived as she was setting down her yoga mat and she smiled brightly for her, "Yoga, and I agree with Ascanius you should join." Mmhmm. Though their reasons differed, of course.
She'd seen him? Benjy's stomach squirmed a little at that wink, as he blushed and gave her a sheepish wave in return. He still hadn't got over those legs. STARE. She shouldn't hide them so much.
...or maybe she should, given company was arriving.
And Ascanius was inviting him over? Benjy looked over at the gathering doubtfully, before realising he'd look a whole lot less weird if he sat with everyone else. And Nigel was there, so it couldn't be too bad with the Slytherins, could it? Even if his view of a certain someone wouldn't be as good.
"Sure," he replied, already standing and heading over to the group of guys. "Why not..."

Derry seemed so nice...and Vesper was a massive fan of nice. So, they were going to get on famously. As it was, the Ravenclaw needed more female friends, anyway...considering her male ones were turning into......Yeah.
Yes, she had Ascanius in mind...and he had the nerve to look hurt by her snub. Not that she herself was being all obvious and open with her disgruntled response. He must have finally gotten some sleep the night before or something......Ugh, it was terrible being so nice...and caring about people. Not being the least bit bothered that people were around them (including his girlfriend), she bounced over and gave her bandmate forehead!snuggles. He'd better not be mean to her again or she'd get him.
She'd get him good.
Speaking of Penelope, though! "Hey you!" She got a huge hug. Finally! A Gryffindor to offset all this Slytherin! and Ravenclaw! they had going on. "Do you wanna join us for yoga? It'll be fun..." Sans the fact that they would be oogled. It was a given, really...considering the audience. Nevermind them, though. Boys...would be boys.
...and HER Lottie. During Yoga!time, that's what Lotus Wisteria was. HERS. Not that Vesper was possessive. Totally wasn't. Not even the least little bit. "You came!" Ves could admit that it never felt right doing this particular activity without Lottie, considering they'd started making the sessions a regular thing. So, in a way, if her Hufflepuff friend hadn't come, she'd have felt like she was cheating on her.
OH. AND THEY HAD A HUFFLEPUFF! NOW...For whatever reason, this made her feel leagues more comfortable. Good times to be had by all.
Hopefully more people would show up and join them.
Also, she didn't miss Ascanius offering for Benjy to join the group of boys. Hopefully Benjy would see that her bandmates (Ascanius, especially) weren't all that bad. In fact, vain little bugger he was, he was actually one of her most favorite people. If Benjy couldn't be okay with him...Well...you know.
"What pose shall we start with?" Vesper looked to Lottie. Her limbs were ready to go!

Delilah slowly wandered down to the lake, having heard about yoga session from Lottie. .. And, no. She definitely wasn't going to be participating, sorry. The girl didn't have anything against yoga, per se BUT it just wasn't for her, nope. Instead, she was going to enjoy the fresh air after being cooped up in the castle all morning.
.... She couldn't help but grin slowly when she finally arrived at her destination, her blue eyes searching for Lottie first. Delilah gave her friend a wink and a wave before smiling at all the other girls who seemed to be getting ready already. Riiiight, well. She jogged over to where the boys sat, her grin fading slightly. 'Cause she was the only girl here.. Would that be too weird?
"Do you guys mind if I join you?"

Oh? Well, Vesper, of course Lottie would be here! "Why so surprised?" she said, adding a soft laugh at the end. Honestly, it was their thing and she wouldn't miss it. Nope. Plus, it was truly relaxing by the lake...
...usually.
She trusted the boys to be quiet, yes? Yes.
Hmmmm, as far as what pose, Lottie had no preference, really, Vesper could just choose whatever and she'd follow, she didn't feel like leading today, all the effort. Now, the good thing was that thanks to Medea most, if not all, knew something of yoga, so there won't be any need for explanations, "We could start with the triangle one." At least Adelaide and Penelope looked like they've been exercising before coming, but a little more stretching never hurt anyone.
Also, haaaai Delilah, we see you... with the boys, lol. That wink was answered with a smile and a wink from Lottie, too.
Well now they had like a viewing party. Now that Józsua were here. The only person Nigel thought would be here was West. Which was still possible. Since nothing has started yet.
Mmm..this pumpkin juice is good.
Really, Vesper. They were all sitting down for a reason. If they were going to take part. They would have a mat and be up on their feet and pre-stretching for the yoga. "Watching sounds good "
More and more people were showing up. Including Penelope and Lotus. Both should definitely join in on the Yoga. So Nigel nodded along Ascanius "Health and Flexibility Reasons" Look at the Benjy was coming on over. Nigel did not consider the fact that it was all Claw and Snake Guys. And the first Hufflepuff to come over to this viewing area was Deliah. Very interesting.
"Not at All"
The more the merrier and the more the less creepy. Not that it mattered or anything.
