Well, AJ couldn't promise that she wouldn't do something really silly because she did not have a good tract record when it came to that. So she kept her mouth shut on that one. "Deal," she muttered to him not acting like her mum. He never should have in the first place, but she was letting that go. The Unforgivable Curse? "What's that?" There was still so much that she didn't know about this place. Her birthday was that far away actually. "Cool." Her mum would hate it, but that would be a plus.

The mood had changed, she could feel it. It was a stupid thing to say especially since she wasn't even sure what it was that she was feeling. She looked at the ground and bit her bottom lip. Maybe the cold was starting to get to her mentally. AJ didn't like boys, not in that way anyways. "Yeah," was all she said. She was afraid to say too much. This was awkward, and the last thing she wanted was for her friendship with Adi to change. He had some good points, and maybe that was what it was. He did just save her life so it was perfectly normal to be feeling this way. "You're right. That's all it is." Not really sure if that was true though, AJ tried to play it off.

Was it getting colder still or was it because she was still slightly wet? "Maybe we should head in." He did mention her going to the common room earlier.

Unforgivable Curse? Where did that come from? Maybe he was just distracted by what AJ had just told him. "I meant Unbreakable Vow. It's the adult pinky swear, I guess. Once it's made, it can't be broken. If it is, the person who broke it dies.'' No one would catch Adi making one of those unless he knew fully well he could keep the promise.

Adi looked back at AJ, trying to determine if she meant what she said. He knew her and therefore knew that she was trying to joke it off. If her crush developed into something more their friendship would definitely be in jeopardy because he only like her as a friend. He grinned weakly. "Let's go then. I can follow you to your Common Room, if you want.'' He really wanted to get in side too. It was really cold out here.

The person would die if they broke the promise? "That seems a bit extreme." AJ would have to remember to never do that with anybody. Why would somebody need to make that serious of a vow anyway? She would be sticking to pinky promises from here on out.

For once in her life AJ was feeling awkward and out of place. Adi wasn't helping any by just looking at her for what felt like a century without saying anything. She had half a nerve to just turn on her heel and walk away, but that would be rude, and she didn't want Adi thinking that it would be different between them from now on. "Okay." They were in agreement on that at least. "You don't have to follow me." She could get to her common room on her own, and besides it was way out of the way for her friend.

Adi nodded distractedly. His head was still kind of reeling from AJ's sudden revelation. Things were surely going to change now. It had started already. Awkwardness, something that never existed between the two friends, suddenly seemed thick in the air.

He looked away again as he fidgeted with his wand. "You're sure?'' Adi asked. "It wouldn't be a problem.'' He knew the Gryffindor tower was miles away from Hufflepuff's. But then again, half of him hoped he didn't have to go. He could hardly stand the awkward.

Well this was fun. It was cold and her relationship with Adi had definitely changed. Always speaking her mind had its downfalls. Oh well. She wasn't going to let this get her down. It was no big deal. Hopefully after a few days things would blow over, and it would be like nothing had happened at all. AJ wasn't at all sure if this would happen or not, but she sure hoped that it would.

He couldn't even look her in the eyes now? Did she all of a sudden grow three heads? This was dumb, and AJ was not about drama. "I'm sure." Whatever he said, she could tell that he didn't want to follow her anymore than she wanted him to. "I'm fine." It was obviously a problem, but neither of them wanted to go there. "I'll see you later." Without waiting for a response, or to even look at him AJ turned on her heel and trudged up the walk towards the castle. She suddenly wished that she hadn't kept his jacket. Now she would have to return in.

He had just made things awkward, hadn't he? He thought he had, but apparently he didn't. Phew. Ethan wouldn't murder him.

Surprised, Simon blinked his blue eyes when he heard about Sebastian's odd behaviour. Huh, he thought before chuckling. "Sits on your head? Well, hopefully you have him potty trained by now," he said with a kind grin. Cause if she didn't have him potty trained, that would be quite catastrophic. Even if getting pooped on by a bird was meant to bring you good luck, it was still a rather disgusting thought. "Some pets are silly. That's nice. I'd like to meet him." Pets were fun.

Simon watched Josie as she became slightly upset all of the sudden about him not having pets. He felt exactly the same way. He shrugged nonchalantly and shot her a wicked grin. "I hope so. If it doesn't maybe we can get a german shepherd or a golden retriever," he explained. Either dog would make hi happy. He frowned at the idea of getting a cat. "My little sister's allergic to cats unfortunately." He pouted. It was either get rid of Allison (which he would NEVER EVER do in a million years- except when she was being quite an annoying little know-it-all) or get rid of the cat.

He gave Feo, the Crup, a nice pat before glancing up at Josette. "So what do you like doing for fun?" he asked with another kind smile as Feo wagged his tail happily as he was surrounded by two young friendly humans.

Mentally, Adi breathed a sigh of relief. It was possible the long walk from here to the Gryffindor Tower would be even more awkward. "Alright then. Bye, AJ,'' he called at her retreating figure.

Well, that was...uncomfortable. Adi had never felt that way with anyone before. Not even strangers. Anyway, hopefully this would all pass soon and he and AJ could be the friends they had been before she admitted her feelings. He shivered again. Best head back to the common room to get another jacket.

Adelaide bit her lip again. "It's a long story, but the end of it is my father kicked me out and cut me off." She would explain if he questioned more, but she'd already talked about it so much lately it was kind of a pain.

"My dad's pretty big in muggle politics so we had a big house. To give you an idea I had my own little library." Gosh Addi missed her library. She had to leave most of her books behind, only able to grab her favorites. Maybe she could write her mum to send her some things. Her mum had seemed really upset about the whole thing anyways. She smiled a bit. "Nothing wrong with a little hide-n-seek. I still love snow angels and stuff like that." Never too old for something like that.

"Either at the London branch. Or I was thinking Greece or Australia...if I can get the money." Money was the biggest issue.

Suddenly the wind picked up, causing Adelaide to pull her jacket closer to her body. She looked back at the lake. Which was just ice. She turned back to Cris.

"Was it this cold a moment ago?" Or was she just imagining things. Then again, the lake was now frozen over.

Cris felt bad that he had brought up about Addi's living situation with her family. He empathized with her knowing how close he was to getting cut off from his own family too. Only he was fortunate, his mother always had the capacity to calm his father and make him change his mind. If she didn't, Sander would no longer be part of their family and he would follow suit.

"I'm sorry to hear that. I didn't mean to pry into your personal life, but if you ever want to talk more about it, I've been told that I'm a very good listener," Cris smiled gently at Addi.

"To be honest, I have to admit that my father sounds a lot like yours. He started the family shipping business when he was just a young boy. Needless to say, he has good knack for the business and that small business is now worldwide. He first wanted my older brother, Sander to take over the business, but Sander told him he had other plans. So now my father's looking to me to take over and honestly, I don't really want the job either," Cris paused as he looked out over the lake.

He didn't know why he was telling someone he had just met about his own personal life, but Cris somehow felt that Addi would understand, just like how Jasmine did. So he continued to open up to his new friend.

"Long story short, I suspect both my father and I are going to have a big disagreement, if not at the end of this term, then after I graduate. I guess it just depends on when I tell him my decision" Cris sighed sadly before turning back to look at Addi.

"See we're not so different after all," he told her before smiling at her snow angel comment. "No and there's nothing wrong with making snow angels too. I've had serious fights with myself. One part of me wants to just jump straight into the snow here and make snow angels and the other part of me, tells me I'm too old to be doing that. Sometimes that side can be totally boring," Cris grinned sheepishly at Addi.

Cris felt the cold icy wind whipping across the lake, the same time Addi did. "It is getting cold. Merlin! look at the lake. It's frozen over. I didn't realize it until now," Cris stood up to get a better look.

"Yes, it definitely looks like it has frozen over. I hope the Giant Squid and the Merpeople are alright," Cris turned to look worriedly at Addi. Then another thought popped into his head.

Frozen Lake...nice big lake....nice big skating rink.

"Addi, would you by any chance know how to skate? I was thinking that if the ice is safe enough to handle our weight, maybe we could go skating on the lake. Interested?" Cris asked Addi...and if she didn't skate, he could always push her around one a rubber tubing.

Harley smiled as the kid rolled his eyes and shook his head, so he knew how to have fun eh? Hmm maybe this kid wasnt so bad afterall, he could see himself hanging out with this little guy. "Oh yeah? Like what? " he had to see how this kid thought if they were to hang out. The kid was then asking his name, hmm onto friendly terms already? hmm "The names Harley, Whats yours kid?" he asked the kid though he might as well keep calling him kid since it probably suited him better than whatever name he was given Charles or George or something old fashioned like that. He would be doing him favor by giving him a better name

He the looked around and saw a centaur, oh cool! they were here too? he remembered the fun he had with them, sure they were not pleased with it but hey jeez it was just fun! he windered if these guys knew the Brazilian lot that he met, if they didnt...... fun time! He watched the centaur talk to a girl, who he had to say was good looking he thought to himself smiling a little cheekily. Was this school full of good looking girls? He had seen so many already, awesome!! He liked that definitely, he also made a note to talk to that girl if he ever saw her again, being in one place helped with that they would surely meet, she couldnt hide from him forever!

Wait, was Sebastian potty trained? He was potty trained, right? He had to have been, he didn't have any accidents on her head or anything, although he did have an accident one time on her shoe. That was very strange. "M-Mhm..I don't know why...It's very..strange..." Josette smiled a little bit when Simon told her'd like to meet him. "H-He's very affectionate...And friendly.." Would Sebastian like climbing on Simon's head, or would her strange pet only perch himself on Josette's head.

The Ravenclaw could not help but feel absolutely terrible about him not owning any pets back at home. She could understand that, because that was her before she went Hogwarts, her father would not allow her to have any kind of pet at all back at home. But she did have a friendly doe that would always come wandering into their back garden, but she technically wasn't a pet, more so a friend. But nonetheless, "G-Golden retrievers sound like very f-friendly pets.." She gave him a small smile, but then frowned a little bit when he told his sister was allergic to cats. So no cats, got it. Well, dogs did seem like they were more playful, even crups like Mr. Feo. But Simon already explained why he couldn't get one of those, so normal muggle dogs seemed like a good fit.

Josette shuffled her feet a little bit before Simon had looked up at her & asked what she liked to do for fun. "U-Um..I like to fly...Play Quidditch...R-Reading is..very relaxing...And I've been learning how to play the piano..." What was she forgetting. OH! "I-I also..have a knack for..climbing trees...T-That's a lot of fun..." She blushed a little bit about that last one though, did that seem very odd that she liked climbing trees? Better change the subject. "W-What do you like to do, Simon?" Her blue eyes traveling over to the adorable Mr. Feo still wagging his tail as he stood between them. She couldn't help kneeling down once more to give him a friendly stroke behind his ear.

"That sounds nice," said Simon as he gave Feo a couple of nice pats on the head. He listened to Josette as she told him that golden retrievers did seem very friendly. "Yeah, they do. I'd really like one. If they don't get one that would be fine. I'd just be happy with walking Professor Botros' Crup around Hogwarts," he explained. He and Feo were getting pretty close. Mhmm.. He'd miss Feo when he left for the summer. He dismissed that thought as he continued to pet the Crup.

Meanwhile, Feo rolled over onto his tummy briefly and the boy began stroking him more. Oh yes, Feo was a very good boy, thought the Crup as Simon patted him lovingly. He barked happily at the two humans. Simon stopped patting the Crup and he focused more on Josette. The Crup looked up and then sat right back up. Perhaps the prettier human would pet him. The pretty lady. Mhmm..

She liked to play Quidditch? Wow. Simon had never tried that before. He had read about it but wondered what it could have felt like to actually play it. It must have been exhilarating. He chuckled when she brought up that she liked climbing trees. "I've never tried Quidditch but have always wanted to. I'm afraid of heights though," he explained. He had hated going on rollercoasters as a kid because he felt as if he was going to fall off one. Nu-uh. Heights and him didn't mix too well. "I enjoy reading books, doing research, reading comics, watching television shows like Star Trek and what not, and cooking," he added. He didn't real tell people too often that he enjoyed cooking but he felt as if Josette would accept that part about him. He smirked and eyed the tree behind them briefly. "Since you like climbing trees, do you want to climb that tree behind us?"

This icy, frigid, snow-filled virulent winter is beginning to esclate toward blizzard levels with a polar vortex wind chill suddenly sweeping the grounds on top of the already high snow drifts. Brrr! Best get indoors now before the snow covers you to your frostbitten nose! It looks like Hogwarts may already be in the process of being snowed in....
