Image credited to Govoni You may have walked past this tree, or you may have been one of few who stopped to admire the towering Beech Tree that sat directly beside the Lake for many years. Mr.Kirby has taken it upon himself to give purpose to the tree once more. Under the shade of this tree you can simply relax, do homework, read a book. The Beech Tree gives off a nice relaxing Aura so don't take to long of a nap, and miss your Classes. If you're itching for a small activity grab a Fishing Rod and see if you can land a big one! The lures provided have been charmed to keep any magical creature of the lake from getting hooked. Beside the crate of Rods you will see a sign. Mr.Kirby INSISTS you read it.

Dylan made his way down to the lake, skipping as he went, his long hair flying behind him and his shoulder bag bumping against him. Yes, he was skipping. Because he was in a very good mood, and being outside by the lake made him in an even MORE good mood. The lake was his favorite place, and today, he was going to climb that one beech tree that he always thought was cool.
Once he reached the tree, he glanced up at it before leaping up and grabbing the nearest branch. He hoisted himself up onto it, and climbed a bit higher until he found a good place to perch. He wasn't too far from the ground, but it was a bit of a ways. Smiling, he pulled out his sketchpad from his shoulder bag and a quill and began drawing the view of the lake from where he sat.

She reeled her line in and cast in once more in a different direction.
She couldn't help but to smile when Adi admitted that he thought she was cooler than her sister. "I'd have to agree with you there." Right back to teasing. "She's just into different things." That was fine too. "That's what I'm hoping, that maybe he just didn't want to tell me because I am her sister after all." Of course she could have played the go between to get them together like her sister wanted. "Yeah, maybe." Hopefully this would happen, and soon. "So what about you? I've heard that you are quite the girlfriend hunter." Was some crazy girl going to come out of the woodwork and go postal on AJ for hanging out with Adi so much?
"Hey, that hurt!'' Adi said feigning a painful look as he grabbed his side. "I like talking with you too but you've got sharp, pointy fingers. INo wait. I think they're claws not hands.'' Hehe. And he couldn't keep that straight face anymore, he just had to start laughing. Why was it so hard for him to be serious. "I always talk mess.'' Especially now that he found AJ. Benny didn't have much of a sense of humour as he did.
"You don't,'' Adi joked. He noted AJ had tied her own hair into a ponytail. He vaguely wondered how it would look let down. He had never seen it that way. "Yep. One little fish.'' Was he in luck? He knew it was too early to call anything but maybe he would win this. Cue the over confidence. "I think that's up to the fishes now not you but they don't seem to like you, do they?'' Would the teasing never end?
"Got that right. She's the girl.'' Adi shook his head. "I don't think he would. I wonder if he would even tell me.'' Benny probably would but his bestie was so shy, it was hard to predict the boy. Girlfriend hunter? The Hufflepuff laughed. "Who told you that? I'm no girl friend hunter. I took Sophie Newell to that Valentine's Day event the Prefects organised last year but she wasn't my girlfriend.'' So, no. whoever told AJ that was wrong.

She had a funny vision of Godzilla, and thought that there was no way she would let herself turn into that. "I'd be okay with that if I got to wear a cape." Yup, she could compromise.
There was actually no effort at all put into it, and that's the way she liked it. "Yeah, it took a whole two seconds to pull it up." She did run a brush through it so it maybe took a minute. That still counted though right? "I wear it down sometimes. There's just no point when I know I'm coming out here." Maybe she would wear it down the next time they hung out just so he could see. These were perceptive fish. "Dang, they've caught on to me." AJ took the bait from Adi. "Thanks." Reeling in her line once more she took off the old bait and added the new. "This is going to make all of the difference here." She really hoped so anyways.
"I don't think she is going to stop liking him anytime soon." So if Benny ever changed his mind then PLEASE tell her so she can finally move on from this whole thing. Hmmm... he didn't seem to care much about this Sophie girl, or maybe he just didn't want to talk to her about it. Either way she let the subject drop. Another snort escaped from AJ. "I believe you meant to say what extremely lucky and fortunate guy would have the pleasure of catching my eye..."She paused to give the question sincere thought. "...honestly I haven't really thought about anyone in that way. I've met some cool guys, but it's not like I wanna date them or anything." the conversation with Angel played through her mind and she shook it off. That meant nothing.
Cris couldn't help but blush...what was it with these Hogwarts girls and their ability to make him blush?...when Addi burst out laughing at his mention of the rubber ducky he had for an audience while he sang as he was taking a bath.
"Well I have to admit that he didn't clap much but then again, he didn't razz or boo either, so I guess I shouldn't complain," he grinned sheepishly at her before quickly turning the subject to her other talents.
"I'm alright with Charms. Got an Outstanding for my OWLs but I think it was more pure luck then ability. If there was any subject, I'm more inclined to excel in that would be Care of Magical Creatures. I play Quidditch but just as a past-time. Beater position. I'd rather regular muggle activities like rock climbing, running and the other stuff," Cris shared a few of the stuff he did before switching the focus back on Addi.
"So you must hate it that no one's allowed to play Quidditch this term. What do you do to pass the time? I'm sure it must be hard not being to do what you love. Too bad you can have like a mini-quidditch game indoors, without really having to fly or something," Cris suggested even as he wondered whether there was such a thing as indoor Quidditch.
He was blushing. Cute. Adelaide couldn't help but feel a little proud of herself on that one. "Ah, I'm sure he liked it well enough." Even if it was horrible singing a rubber ducky showed no judgement.
She listened as he talked, nodding here and there. "An outstanding is fantastic. I can that see dragon boy." Addi pointed to the book he had been reading when she walked over. She grinned at the mention of his quidditch position. "Huh. Never done rock climbing. Sounds fun though. And all I do anymore is run." Just cuz it was the only thing to do this term.
Adelaide started nodding fervently. "It is awful. I'm really nervous for open tryouts because I'm out of practice." Being out of practice was the scariest thing ever. "That would be fun, but I feel like we'd get in trouble for it."

Come on, where are you, fishes? He had a bet to win. "How much time has gone by?'' Adi had forgotten to check what time it had been when they started. Hopefully AJ had remembered to do that. "You'd better keep your fingers crossed.'' Hehe.

Harley was exploring this new school of his, it didnt seem so bad. Afterall his brother Harvey liked this school didnt he? so there had to be something good about this school. Though Harley was not sure how much he wanted to trust his brother's judgment. It was then that he noticed a kid leaping up into a tree as if he were a monkey, so they had those types here too? Huh this could be entertaining afterall.
He walked upto the tree and watched as the kid started drawing by the looks of it, really? up in a tree? He looked around, this was worthy of a picture? really? Well he had better add some fire breathing dragons to this scene in the painting. He then looked around and made sure no one was watching him and he hid behind the tree "Hey kid!" he said in a booming voice that he knew was not like his own "You mind getting off of me" he continued "Its not very nice to sit somewhere without someones permission you know?" Harley boomed and tried to hold in his laughter as he watched the kid in the tree for his reaction to a talking tree.

As he drew, a deep, scary voice suddenly began speaking. The voice startled poor Dylan, causing him to drop his sketchbook which fell to the ground. He looked around, anger written all over his face. "Who said that?" he demanded, continuing to scan the place. But there was no one there. Blinking, he wondered if he had only thought he heard the voice...could it have been the wind?
But then it spoke again! It wanted him to get off of it? He looked down at the branch he was sitting upon, puzzled. Was the tree talking? Maybe some kid put a hex on it. Were there hexes like that? Who knew, there just may be... "Hey come o-on n-n-now! It's n-not funny!" he cried out to whoever was around doing this to him. He tried his best to appear tough on the outside but inside, he was shaking like a leaf...

"That's all you need too,'' Adi said with a chuckle. He nodded now. "I know what that some girls take a really long time to get ready. My mother's like that and it drives Dad crazy sometimes.'' Typical ladies. Oh! She had one? Adi watched AJ bring in her line but he started laughing at the sight of the bare line. "Sorry, sorry. But these fishes really seem not to like you.'' He reached into his pocket and handed over another bait. "Here you go.'' At that precise moment, the third year felt another yank on his pole. "Looks like your fish took a bite of my bait.'' He reeled his line in and sure enough there was a fish hanging onto it. "That's two for me!'' He was winning this. Carefully, the fish was removed and placed back into the Lake. "Tough luck, Valentine.''
Maybe if Angel and Benny got together, Angel would be able to bring Benny out of his shell. Angel was so outgoing, after all. "Yes, so I say, AJ.'' Adi smiled. He could tell AJ was serious. "Maybe. But only if she's got a sense of humour like I do.'' Because he liked to joke around a lot.

She grinned at the mention of his quidditch position. "Huh. Never done rock climbing. Sounds fun though. And all I do anymore is run." Just cuz it was the only thing to do this term.
Adelaide started nodding fervently. "It is awful. I'm really nervous for open tryouts because I'm out of practice." Being out of practice was the scariest thing ever. "That would be fun, but I feel like we'd get in trouble for it."

The rambling was kinda cute. Addi could see herself being friends with him. He wad dorky and that was always fun.
"I try and run every morning. It's been so hard since it started getting so cold out." She hated wearing layers when she ran and this weather definitely required it. Addi smiled. "That would be nice. I'm pretty competitive when it comes to that sort of thing." Which would make it more fun.
Adelaide smiled. Everyone seemed so much more optimistic about this than she did. Even people she'd just met. "I know. But slow doesn't help for tryouts."

He was the coolest one ever after all. "Spiderman can shoot a web, but Batman would be too clever to ever let that get him in a mess."
At least Adi agreed with her. "You're about the only person who agrees with me." Well, except for guys. "Angel is forever trying to make a girl out of me." It was exhausting. AJ laughed while picturing Adi's dad going crazy even though she had never met the guy. "My dad's pretty laid back, but I can tell it bothers him sometimes." Who wouldn't it bother really? "Are you laughing at me Adi?" She couldn't blame him. She was about to laugh at herself too. This was majorly disappointing. She took the offered bait. As quietly as he could, he slid down and backed up against the opposite side of the tree. He had succeeded in being as silent as possible, he was sure the person hadn't heard him. Inching around, he saw the boy. Sneaking up behind him, he leaned in towards the kid's ear. "And do you, Mr. Tree, think it's funny to scare people?" he questioned, smirking. "Cause it is not!" he mocked the deep voice the kid had been using, his grin growing wider as he did so.

"Of course I am. I guess most guys would agree with you.'' Adi grinned. "Angel does seem to be the girly type. Can you imagine Benny having to wait for hours on her just because she had to look perfect?'' Haha. Poor Benny. And oh yeah. "I guess I am.'' The third year watched the fish disappear. "Nope. I'm not a beginner. Though I haven't fished much. But let's see if you can catch up in less than half an hour.'' His line was back in the cold water, bait tied on while he waited patiently for another fish to bite.
"I think they would be, too. Do you think Angel would forget about Benny if he doesn't feel the same about her soon?'' Because really it would make no sense for the first year to be chasing after his friend. It would be wasting time. Adi grinned. "That's right. Imagine every time we cracked a joke and they got all sulky?'' Meh. People with a sense of humour were best.

"His name is Feo. He's Professor Botros' Crup," explained Simon and as soon as he said the Crup's name. The Crup yapped at the girl and ran around her feet in circles. Simon chuckled for a bit and then realized what could happen if the Crup continued to run circles around Josette. What if she fell in to the Lake thanks if Feo knocked her off her feet? Oh Merlin. ETHAN WOULD KILL HIM! He grabbed Feo's leash. "Woah, slow down, Feo! Don't knock her over!" he said at the energetic Crup. Feo glanced up at him angelically.
Yeah, if Simon believed that look, then he'd believe anything. He just shook his head at the silly Crup.
He nodded. "Neither have I. This is my first time down here too," he explained and then he was taken aback by her question. He shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly. "I volunteered to walk Feo for Professor Botros. He had been in Botros' office for a whole day and just wanted to get out. Do you want to pet him?" he offered. He was sure that Feo would love to be petted by a pretty Ravenclaw girl. "Uhh..Do you have pets at home? I wish I did. I used to have a german shepherd a long, long time ago."
Hoping through the snow, CB made sure not to disturb anyone's little snow creations, as she had her own ideas about what she wanted to do with the snow and would hate for anyone to destroy them. It was only fair that she would share the same mindset. No matter how tempting it was to knock some of the things over.
Hopping through the snow and getting closer and closer to the beech tree, Coral pulled down a few icicles that were hanging off the tree, and used it to draw in the snow. She drew out her plans, attempting to write what she wanted to accomplish, but it was obviously unintelligible. She sighed and flopped into the snow.

Mostly because his mum always told him that girls could actually look after themselves just fine. And he believed that yup. Boys and girls needed help EQUALLY.
...So his housemate was just a PERSON in distress. And he could HELP!
Decked out and ready for the winter weather with his hat, scarf and gloves, Kyroh made his way down to exactly where they were suppose to meet. He had even swapped his usual superhero baseball caps for a spiderman toque instead.
He wasn't even going to be distracted by the pretty snow. As much as he wanted to play with it. Reaching the birch tree his brown eyes spotted the girl right away. "BAY! HI!" Kyroh beamed before running up to the girl and giving her a giant hug.
He was here to HELP okay?

He was explaining. Or was going to, she suspected, after she mentioned that she had no idea what he was saying. "I... don't know what that is." Was that why he had those huge white eyes? Though the red and blue were an odd color for a spiderman, she thought. Weren't most spiders nature colored? And black? Huh. Strange creature. "Does it kill people with venom?"
She never really understood what was on his other hats, but had never really bothered to ask. That was her own fault. Maybe they were all related? Like strange halfbreed things. Or american football teams. She'd heard that was weird. Muggle sports were strange in general.
Coral BEAMED as the boy joined in on her icicle swatting. Such a helpful kid! GUSH. He was great.
