The brilliant colors of the sunset have been painted over by the mystical navy blue of the night sky and as you enter the Astronomy classroom you can see the moon clearly through one of the many windows. The desks are arranged in their usual semi circle to help created a more personal environment, only something seems a bit off as you go to sit down. Both the desk and chair wobble as the legs on one side are longer than the other and cause you to lean quite a bit. Try not to fall out of your seat or have your things fall to the floor, yes?
Did you remember to use the lint roller on the small table outside of the classroom? It was there next to the sign that reads, "Not to be used as a brush for your hair."
A lamp, a quaffle, and 3 can lids painted black rest in the middle of the professor's desk. Professor Flamsteed, wearing the same top hat you may have spotted him with at the Opening Feast, can be seen standing to the right of his desk with a giddy expression on his face and offers you a salute as you move to take your seat.
So come on in and have a seat. Class will begin shortly.

Ellinia listened to everyone's favorite seasons. She wanted to play with her snow globe. Which was inside of her bag. Because that made the most sense in the world to her. However, the girl was trying her best to hold back a yawn. It was way past her bedtime. She needed to sleep. How long was Astronomy? There were supposed to be classes tomorrow too, weren't there?
The Gryffindor raised her hand and said "My favorite season is winter because there's snow," she said proudly before taking her snow globe out and shaking it. "And snow is pretty. See?"
The shiny glittery pieces of snow in the snow globe spun around before settling on a tiny little Hogwarts. Even though Ellinia had never seen real snow before, she was already sure that Winter would be her favorite holiday.

And there was that forlorn look towards the quaffle again. Oops.
"Good evening, Mr. Tempus. Make sure to save some time for us to pogo again this term, yes?" he asked with a knowing wink. Now that he was back to his younger self and could actually do said pogoing without his back going out.
No pressure, right?
"Please raise your hand and tell me what is your favorite season and why?"
That made Toby smile a little wider. Heck yeah, the joys of pogo.
"You bet, Professor," Tobias responded, giving the man a salute as well. Hogwarts just wasn't Hogwarts without pogoing with Airey from time to time. And now he had his brand NEW pogo stick, too... so that was crazy exciting.
It was kind of irksome, having these wobbly desks and chairs, but it made slightly more sense when Professor Flamsteed explained that it was intentional. Of course it was. Really, how could it not be. After all, this was Astronomy.
The question took some thinking, as Tobias had always had a tendency to refrain from picking a favourite anything, but eventually he raised his hand.
"Summer's my favourite I think. 'Cause there's more hours of daylight, and people are always more happy and awake and stuff. Early summer is best, because it's warm, but not too hot, so you can still bounce around and everything." And it was best for flying, but........... he didn't want to say that out loud, because of reasons. But yes, mainly... it was the sun. Toby liked the sun a whole lot. "Summer means we see more of the sun, and the sun is usually seen as positive, which is probably why I like it."

No mixing up Astrology and Astronomy. So that's what got this guy's wand in a knot, then? Noted. As for his question to the class, Maddie considered it seriously. There were benefits to each season, really. Like Autumn now meant that she got to come to Hogwarts and that was definitely something to get excited about. Winter meant that her Dad actually paid some attention to her since they were the only ones who liked going ice skating so there was that. Spring was cool because it was pretty and Maddie could spend tons of time outside exploring and running and doing things she liked doing BEST. But her favorite season? Well...
"Summer is the best, Professor. It means I get the house to myself while my brothers are out trying to get girlfriends and mack, whatever that means." Maddie shrugged her shoulders cause BOYS and then smiled at the Professor. She was done now, okay?

LOL. Look at people falling over.
Sure, he was gripping onto his table and chair as if his life depended on it but that didn't mean that he wasn't amused whenever someone actually fell onto their behind. It was certainly more fun than looking over at the magician man at the front of the classroom or at the quaffle and the lamp. His textbook and parchment and writing equipment were out and occasionally sliding off to the side of the table that had the shorter legs.
When the man spoke, though, Grayson did look over at him. His hand reached out and stopped his inkpot from sliding off of the table completely while the Professor talked about Astronomy and cosmos. Merlin, please don't tell him this was going to be one of those all-note taking lecture-type classes. He was going to be bored out of his mind.
His favourite season? That wasn't hard. The only hard part was thinking of a reason as to why he liked the season he liked enough to call his favourite. Cool. Okay. He could answer this one. Grayson raised his hand in the air and said, "My favourite season's summer because..." You can wear shades outside and nobody looked at you like you're a freak. "... because you get to go out and not have to bundle up in your entire wardrobe just to feel warm." Exaggerating, he was. "It doesn't get dark early so you can stay out longer."

Favorite season? That was an easy question! Caleb grinned and raised his hand. "My favorite season is definitely summer. It's nice and warm, you don't have to worry about trying to navigate through two feet of snow, AND there's no school," he added. THAT was obviously the best part of it all, right?

Wait, so this had been done on purpose? Adrienne was doomed to be rocking back and forth in her wobbly chair for the entire class period because Flamsteed had decided to give everyone uneven chairs? That was just... she didn't even have words to describe how frustrated that made her, so instead she just crossed her arms a bit more tightly and gave an icy cold glare to everyone who looked in her direction.
...But she really couldn't resist answering the question, especially since this was a fascinating subject, and one Adrienne would no doubt thrive in if they had a different professor. She thrust her hand into the air before answering, of course, but she didn't do it happily! "Autumn. Because everything dies and school starts again."

Lux was happy to see that Professor Flamsteed had a good summer and was eager to be back. She was eager to be here, despite the fact that this class always made her head hurt. Friendly wave in Cinnamon's direction as her friend entered the room.
Wait what? The chairs were intentionally off-kilter?
O_O
Raising her brow, Lux looked at the Professor as if he was mental. Shaking her head, she slowly and carefully lowered herself into the seat, where she began to wobble around. This was not fuuuuun, and it took a lot of effort for the girl to brace herself so as not to slide off the way that Sophie had. Gripping her desk was out of the question, because that wobbled around a lot too.
When she felt secure enough, Lux raised her hand to answer the first question. "My favourite season is summer, because it's really nice and sunny. It also means summer holidays, which are always fun. Oh, and long hot days where you can go to the beach!" The beach was always a lot of fun, and she loved spending time at Willa's beach house.

Terry, who was sat in the back corner of the room mostly due to the fact he had arrived just on time to the lesson and couldn't get a space near his friends, was absentmindedly staring at the front of the classroom until he saw his girlfriend do something really.. unexpected.
Why was she hugging the professor?
The Slytherin blinked twice and then nodded to Flamsteed's question. Why HAD she done that?! Was this a dare or something? He shook his head and then went back to staring at the front of the classroom until the lesson actually started. Which wasn't after too long.
Though the question he asked was a little unusual and kind of simplistic for the usual Astronomy lesson. He thought about it for a few minutes, trying to evaluate which season he preferred. He raised his hand. "Mines probably Winter. I know the weather is usually cold and rubbish but its so different from the other seasons its quite exciting when it comes about." Plus it was Christmas, not that he was superficial about gifts but he enjoyed the company of his family. "And everything seems a lot more relaxed during the cold weather" You could sit inside under your duvet and not be considered lazy.

Well, lesson number: Do not be an eager beaver. Ethan gave his chair a good, but subtle kick, beamed back at the professor, then gave his chair another stink-eye. The expression however remained as he glanced up at the man who asked them to settle down and said that the chairs aren’t broken…but intentionally made to be that way. Ethan figured it has something to do with the evening’s lesson. Hopefully.
The Slytherin settled down, albeit with difficulty, and listened to the professor. Who’d actually confuse Astronomy with Astrology? The latter was categorized under Divination somehow, yeah?
Moving on. First question was up. What is his favourite season? Oooh. This is a hard one. Ethan had his thinking face on and debated with himself whether he likes summer more than winter. He probably had enough winter back in his old school, so yes; he’s going for….
Ethan raised his hand and simultaneously tilted to his right. Weird, troublesome chair.“Summer, professor. Because I get to skateboard all day and night. Aaand yeah, I don’t have to worry about the rain or snow while I play outside.” Shallow answer. But then again, skateboarding is his life!

"If everyone could please setting down IN your seats as best as possible we will begin. Not to worry, your chairs are not broken and this was done to them intentionally," he announced after clapping his hands together twice to get everyone's attention over their private conversations. No floor sitting. Desks were there to be used. Not a decoration. "Good evening and welcome back to Astronomy. Just another reminder to never, and I mean NEVER, get this noble subject confused with Astrology." Especially now that that woman was handing out rubbish horoscopes left and right. Sweet solstice. "We will be staying close to home this lesson as we explore the cosmos as we attempt to understand the role and function that the Earth serves in the cosmic machine that is the universe. I would like to start off today's lesson with a rather broad question and one that you all should have no trouble in answering."
No pressure, right?
"Please raise your hand and tell me what is your favorite season and why?"
OOC: This lesson has officially started! Please do not post your character arriving now or else risk loss of house points for your house or some other punishment that Professor Flamsteed feels is appropriate. If you are joining us now, please just pretend as though your character has been here all along!
Class will resume approximately 18 hours from the time of this post.
Pout. Flamsteed wasn't the best hugger. He didn't even return it. Only asked why she hugged him. Sigh.
"Because I like hugs and I felt like it," Ana told him with a shrug, trying her best to still sound respectful, even if her words alone may have seemed a tad disrespectful. Also, he looked like he could use a few more hugs but she wasn't going to tell him that.
Wait. The seats and desks were deliberately like this? Why would someone d that??? Sitting like this was difficult. Although it could be worse and they could have to sit on the floor. Which would suck. And class was starting now. With a really easy question too.
Ana raised her hand before giving her answer to the question. "I've always liked Winter. On the most simplistic level because it reminds me of home and my childhood. Whenever Winter comes I can't help but recall memories of drinking Sbiten at my babushkas' home. It is also a time of peace and merry what with Christmas, New Years Holiday, the Theophany of the Lord etcetera," Ana explained, listing some of the holidays she'd celebrated ever since she was a tiny child. "There's also beauty to be found in the ice and snow and I find hope, since no matter how cold and bleak things can sometimes appear in Winter there is the knowledge that following death everything will be reborn come the Spring." Was that a good answer? Even if it wasn't exactly what was expected it was what Ana felt about Winter.
Putting her hand down Ana simply listened as her peers gave their answers to the question. She didn't think that there was any need to start recording answers at this stage.

Adi sat there clinging to his wobbly desk as he tried not to fall off of his equally wobbly chair. Ugh! Why things be so wobbly? Couldn't the Professor in the top hat fix this already? Hearing the first question of the lesson, the third year raised his right hand as his left one being the stronger and dominant hand remained clinging to the desk.
"Winter, Professor. Because it's cold then plus we can build snowmen and have snow ball fights.'' Yes. Winter was the best season in Adi's opinion.
Y'know what Ascanius didn't do when he walked in the door? Said hi to Flammy. Y'know what Ascanius was never going to do when he walked into Astronomy? Say hi to Flammy. If he had to be subjected to this class for upwards of an hour he wasn't going to start it off with a hello. Or, y'know, anything substantial...like a look in his direction.
His favourite season? Jeez. Were they going to get together for girl talk after and discuss their moon signs over ice cream? What kind of dumb, girly question was what's your favourite season? He very obviously rolled his eyes.
And he didn't bother answering. On principal.
BUT he knew what it was if he had to pick one. For sure it was spring, yeah? 'Cause it was the time of year the weather got nice, school slowed down and USUALLY there was lots of Quidditch to be had.

OH.
Oh... Theo was soon GRINNING at Professor Flamsteed and he ever so slightly puffed out his chest. "Thanks, sir." His urges to suck up to the teachers felt like it could get much worse this term. As in, paying attention to someone other than Professor Bellaire, and leaving a few apples on desks. He couldn't wait to leave her an apple before he graduated.
First question was easy. Theo wasn't even bothered about answering.
But he did because he was the Head Boy. Had to be a model student and all. "Summer." Pause... and why? "Because I get sick a lot in the winter." And he couldn't remember the other seasons. Theo shifted a little in his seat and almost had a heart attack when it started wobbling. What, what, what? Had he missed something????

Zander looked around the classroom and saw several students already raising their hands. Well if he was going to work on this whole to-shy-to-function thing, then he might as well begin with answer some questions. Raising his and and politely waiting his turn, Zander took a few deep breaths before answering. "I uh, I like uh, I like the spring. I like the spring because it's not too hot and not too c-cold." He slipped further down into his seat as his face glowed with embarrassment.
Because it's not too and and not too cold. What kind of answer was that!? Everyone's going to think he's a dumb little firstie. Ugh. Way to start the year off right. Zander.

Jasmine smiled because this was a topic she definitely had an opinion about aaaannnd it was a question she could answer. Raising her hand, she said, "My favorite season is spring". "I like spring because it's like a new beginning for everything....the trees, the flowers, people reemerging from their winter clothes. I think that it is the most beautiful season of all. Also I was born in the spring so that may have something to do with it." It was possible that she could appreciate spring more than a lot of her classmates. In California, spring was no big deal to her. the weather was always nice. Now that she had lived in other places, ones with real winters, she appreciated spring even more.

So it wasn't only the Professor that was weird. The chairs inherited the trait as well. Better get used to it then.
Trying to keep himself from wobbling on his seat, Trent leaned a bit, held onto his own knee for support and raised his hand for a very short moment (he wasn't one to answer while his arm was up), then quickly settled it back down before answering. "Winter, sir. My favorite season would be winter. Why, well..." ...besides from the fact that he was a sucker for the bitter cold? "...we get to have snow. Mother nature's vomit. I can burn my tongue with hot beverage and hit people I strongly dislike with snowballs pretending that I am just playing around." That wasn't such an ideal answer, was it? Oops.
Slight almost smirk.
Followed by throat clearing.
"What I mean is, I prefer the winter season compared to the other ones Mr. Flamsteed because I can go skiing, read a book in front of the fireplace, enjoy my mother's homemade cocoa and all those kind of cheesy things." Better answer, right?
"Summer." Delilah said, without giving it any thought. "It's so warm and nice and FUN. I usually spend every summer at the beach with all my family and friends back home.. I just have a good time." Summer usually meant happy things, you know? She gave a small sigh.. and almost slid off her chair again. Oops.

A lint roller? Why on earth would she need to do that? AJ read the sign and wondered if people were really that dense that they needed directions on how to use the blasted thing. Anywho, she quickly rolled herself down and plopped down next to her sister. This was one of the first times that she had seen Abby so she gave her a quick wave. The brunette really needed to catch up with her sometime to see how Ravenclaw was suiting her.
Before she had time to notice much else the professor was already asking a question, and it was one that she actually had an answer to. AJ was already liking this professor. Her hand shot into the air. "That's easy! Summer is my favorite season because that's the best time to play sports." And boy did she love her some sports.
Lucy raised her wand: "I like the summer because the days are longer.. I can spend more time outdoors and I feel more free, and above all I can go to the beach .. I love to swim!
In the summer I can travel with my parents and we can meet some magical communities that are different from ours!"
"Yes", said Lucy, "the summer is great for me!"
Norah gripped the edge of her seat to keep from sliding off it when she raised her hand. She did not need to make a fool of herself in the her very first Hogwarts class, that was for sure. Hmm, her favorite season? That was hard, as she loved each one for different reasons. "My favorite season is Autumn, because it's time for new beginnings!"
She grinned, ignoring the obvious cliche in her statement because starting at Hogwarts was just so exciting she decided it deserved large scale acknowledgment. A class full of older student is pretty large scale when you're eleven.
SUMMER!!! this was by far the easiest question to answer ever! the boy loved summer for more than just the surfing he could do during it. there were reasons now but you know no one needed to know that. Lots of people had already mentioned summer and some surfing but you know he wanted to say his to so his hand shot into the air. "Summer! i can practically live at the beach during summer." any other season it just wasn't comfortable really. he also really really loved the beach. he was also doing quite well at this balance thing.

Favorite season, hmm? Mo's eyes strayed to the Quaffle again, and he considered his answer. Being the type of silver linings person that he was, generally Mo was happy as long as he could go outside. Snow, fog, rain, burning heat didn't really matter in the scheme of things. Hail was pretty bad, and he didn't prefer that, and flying in lightening storms was miserable, but...
What was the question again?
Oh, favorite season. Mo raised his hand. "Spring, sir. Just when winter seems like it will never end and you start to feel like you'll never be happy again, or be warm again, or see green other than through slush piles again... there's spring. It always gets better."

Oops?
"Oh," well, it wasn't hurtful for Lottie at all, "I'm positive it's not related," or was it?
Gravity? She eyed the lamp for a moment... and shook her head, "Not really." How about displacement? For the desks? Yes. The lamp... made it almost impossible to come up with something.
For a moment Lex got the feeling Lottie and her weren't sitting in the same room even though they were sitting right next to each other. How could she not see the blasphemy set before them??!?!?! Okay, a bit dramatic maybe but there it was, taunting her....not as much as if it'd been a bludger chained the to the table but you know, the thought was there.
"I'm sure it's not, probably just an oversight." If that was the logic Lottie was going with, then she'd adopt it too otherwise she'd start questioning the Professor's motives. "Wish he'd used a muggle ball. It'd have helped."
Lex took another look around at her bestie's 'not really'. Guessing wasn't something she was good at, usually she hated having to do it so she'd just wait.

OH LOOK! Here they were coming now!
"Not broken, Miss Newell," he replied with an amused shake of the head. "Definitely not broken."
"Good evening, Miss Wayne," he smiled at the Slytherin. "Something the matter?" What was she giving him looks for?
"Hello, Miss Carrington! I did indeed, but it is good to be back at Hogwarts." Even if he was eager to get back out into the field for more research. Would have to wait until the holidays, alas.
"Good evening, Mr. Strand," he nodded towards the young man as he entered. "Congratulations on your sorting."
Oh, look who it was. Mr. Not-a-Boy-Toy. Airey simply smirked as the Ravenclaw entered and raised an eyebrow at his question. "I didn't get lost, if that is what you are implying, Mr. Kim."
"Evening, Miss McAlistor," he chuckled at the spirited Hufflepuff as he gave her a small nod using his top hat and then returned it to its original position on his head at a slight angle. "A gift from Professor Thompson."
Unintentional one, but a gift nonetheless.
"It feels stellar, thank you for asking, Miss Winters," he grinned. "Quite the relief to see everyone back to their usual selves."
"Good evening! Come on in and take a seat...if you can," he chuckled towards the first year. Seemed like he had outdone himself this time with the chairs...but their faces when they tried to sit and just ended up sliding out of their seats was pretty darn amusing.
Like this one.
Airey snorted softly and chewed on his lip to stop himself from noticeably laughing. "Good evening."
Airey puffed out his chest a little and tugged on his jacket. "Why thank you. Just had it pressed this afternoon." He was getting better at using the iron these days.
Especially since he hadn't tried to use it as a make-believe microphone recently.
Leave it to a Ravenclaw to figure out weight distribution like that. Kudos to you, Mr. Branxton.
"Good evening, Mr. Branxton."
"Good evening, Mr. Hazelwood," Airey greeted the Hufflepuff. Oh ouch...that one looked like it hurt. "You alright there? Didn't break anything in that fall did you?"
Maybe he should have thought this through a bit more. Cece would have his head if he sent half the class to the Hospital Wing.
"Evening, Mr. Walker," he nodded at the Gryffindor. At least there was another student who hadn't fallen out of his seat.
"Hello, Mr. Bolton," he greeted the prefect. It was nice to have a male prefect represented in Gryffindor once again. Extra wide smile for you, Mr. Bolton.
And the wide grinning only continued as Miss Cambridge entered the classroom. "Evening, Miss Cambridge," he greeted before his smile feel ever so slightly at her comment. "It's hardly a bludger, Miss Cambridge." Now THOSE were hurtful.
Airey simply smiled at the Gryffindor when he entered. And stared. At him. Sweet solstice...did he have something on his face? In his teeth? Or has something about his persona been terrifying since the young man was now scurrying towards his seat?
Hmmm....peculiar.
"Good evening, Miss Bayless," he beamed at the Gryffindor. Another fine addition to the house. He was pleased.
"If the librarian hears you were using books in that way it is likely to make him lose all his hair," he pointed out. She hadn't used her Astronomy text, had she? As long as that wasn't there he didn't really mind personally. Or a science fiction novel.
Chuckling, Airey saluted back rather than winked at the Hogwartian. "Evening, Miss Wisteria. Everything is stellar."
Ah yes. This boy. Airey would be keeping two eyes on him constantly - figuratively speaking anyway - throughout the term. Just in case another Polyjuice Potion mishap were to occur. Again. "Evening, Mr. Mordaunt."
Oops. Another one down. And staying down. Merlin he hadn't adjusted the legs THAT much.
"Evening."
And it looked like Miss Sönmez was about to drop too...for different reasons. Leaving his spot by his desk, Airey walked towards the Ravenclaw and gave her desk a firm shake. "Look alive, Miss Sönmez!"
Stepping away from Miss Sönmez's desk, his work done there, he headed back to his desk just as Miss ConstantinopleKonstantinova greeted him.................
.................................
..................................... with a hug.
No words related to her greeting nor question came to mind as his body tensed up. PERSONAL BUBBLE EXPLODED. EXPLOOOOOOOOODED! "What....was that for?"
"Good evening, Miss Colbert," he smiled at the Ravenclaw.
"Hello, Miss Brown," he smiled at the Ravenclaw. "Why thank you. I am relieved to see you all back to your usual selves as well."
"Good evening, Miss Abbot," he beamed. "Pleasure." And she got a little extra nod of the head for the hat compliment.
"Good evening, Miss Petersfield!" he beamed at the young lady as she took her seat.
"Good evening, Mr. Odessa," he nodded towards the Slytherin. He was the third person (that the astronomer had noticed at least) to stare at the quaffle.
Oops.
While he probably should have been upset by the Gryffindor raising his voice like that, Airey was the complete opposite. In fact, he was rather amused by the whole thing. "REALLY, Mr. Hirase!" he exclaimed in return. Was it so hard to believe that it was right there. On his forehead? Nice and bold.
They did say that seeing was believing after all.
Ah yes, the third member of the triplets. He had met the other two officially at the party in the Gryffindor common room the first night of the term. "Evening, Miss Valentine."
"Hello, Miss Starr," he grinned at the Hufflepuff. That enthusiasm, he appreciated it. Always nice to see at this hour. "Thank you! I am not typically one for hats, but I think I may make the exception for top hats."
And there was that forlorn look towards the quaffle again. Oops.
"Good evening, Mr. Tempus. Make sure to save some time for us to pogo again this term, yes?" he asked with a knowing wink. Now that he was back to his younger self and could actually do said pogoing without his back going out.
"Good evening, Mr. Toussaint," he greeted the Gryffindor.
Little Bunny? No. Wait. He didn't want to know the details. LA LA LA.
"Evening, Miss Masterson," he smiled at the second year.
Airey nodded his head towards the Ravenclaw boy as he entered and was pleased that he did not fall out of his seat either.
Another quiet Ravenclaw it seemed. The professor returned the young man's nod and then checked his sundial watch.
Just a few more minutes.
"Ah, Mr. Kinsley, congratulations on your new title," he greeted the seventh year.
And there was that kicked cruppy look again. IT WAS JUST A QUAFFLE STUDENTS! AN INANIMATE OBJECT THAT NEED NOT HAVE EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT!
Pebbles was different. Any argument involving her was invalid.
Airey swayed a bit back and forth to match the beat of Miss Bayliss dance moves before greeting her. "Evening, Miss Bayliss."
"Good evening, Miss Guidry," he smiled at the Ravenclaw.
Smiling at Miss Basthowe as she returned his initial salute...and then nearly feel out of her seat and on to the floor. "Careful now, Miss Basthowe."
"Good evening, Mr. Barrington," he smiled at the prefect. He was looking forward to whatever puns the boy could muster up this lesson. Last term for all that, so the prefect best make the best of that and bring his A game this term.
"Good evening, Miss Evans," he smiled at the Ravenclaw who he has totally owned at the staring contest last term. Pity she would never get to pet Tiberius...especially since it had been revealed to him over the summer that the bass had never been his best mate to begin with. Awkward.
"Good evening, Miss Cooper," he smiled at the first year, checking his watch once again and...oh yes. Time to get things started.
Removing his wand from his enchanted breast pocket, Airey gave it a flick towards the door to shut it and then walked to the center of the space between his desk and the semicircle of desks.
Alexa legit deadpanned at the Professor when he mentioned bludgers. Insult to injury, thanks Professor. We know bludgers hurt but we'll never feel them again unless this guy with the threats buggered off and left them to their sports. Creep.
The Gryffindor tried her hardest to ignore the desks and chairs that apparently weren't broken and thus probably wouldn't cause any serious injury anyway. If she could forget the quaffle on the desk and the Professor's bludger statement then things could actually end nicely for this class. Just look at the easy stuff they were starting with.
She stuck her hand up. "I like summer best, it's that time of the year where I'm not obligated to leave my bed before noon most times and it's socially acceptable to have ice-cream then too so that's a win." That was it though. She didn't really have a favourite season but since they were being asked to choose, this one had a bit of advantage on the others.
