Zander- post 6
 

Simon bit his lip as the football sped towards Zander.

Now this situation could have go one of two ways. It could go really well and they all go home cheering. Or Zander could end up with a nasty black eye that Simon would feel bad about for days.

:whaa: ERMAHGAD! :whaa:

THE BALL WAS ONLY A METRE AWAY FROM ZANDER'S FACE. Simon forced himself to keep his blue eyes wide open and he was ready to cast a finite spell just in case. But all of a sudden, Zander woke up and used the spell. The ball came to a halt and just stayed in the air for a bit. Then it dropped and a mini-controlled explosion happened where the ball just sort of self-destructed when it hit the ground.

PHEW. That was a close one. But the whole throw went really well. Simon exhaled and grinned at his mate. "THAT WAS AWESOME!" Two thumbs up for teamwork, hey!?

"Alright" Noel responded, joining the girl who he clearly remembered. They so had met before. He was good with memory.

He watched how the other students had already started with what they were suppose to be doing. Uh ... "Okay so I think we can do the Finite spell - " He wasn't sure the hibernation spell he had suggested before would really appreciated. And he liked ancient runes so yeah.

"Do you wanna do the Rune part or should I?" he asked, turning pages to find the chant for Isa.

Caleb grinned mischievously. "Sorry, slipped," he told her with a smile even though he knew that she knew that was TOTALLY a lie.

Alright, his turn! Awesome! "Alright, get ready to chant," he reminded her as he took his wand and aimed it at her water bottle. "Aguamenti!" he said confidently, flicking his wand and aiming right for the bottom of the bottle.

Sophie gave Caleb a LOOK. Yeah, right, that look seemed to say. She returned that mischievous grin with one of her own. Oh, yeah. It was payback time. She looked down at the water bottle to make sure it was in position then looked back up at Caleb. She'd chant when he was ready.

She saw where he was about to cast and began the chanting. "isa isa isa...i i i i i i i i i...i i i i i i s s s s s s...(s s s s s s i i i i i i)...i i i i i i i i i...," she chanted. "isa isa isa...i i i i i i i i i...i i i i i i s s s s s s...(s s s s s s i i i i i i)...i i i i i i i i i..."

The water began filling up the bottle. Sophie could even feel the temperature of the water through the bottle. It was FREEZING. Something about it seemed a lot colder than the water Caleb had just squirted into her face. The water was approaching the top of the bottle now, so Sophie looked up at Caleb, waiting for him to end the spell.

He'd end it soon, right? She wouldn't get freezing cold water all over her, would she?

Sophie was starting to get antsy about the fact that the bottle was quickly filling up with what felt like freezing cold water. Her brother still hadn't ended the charm, and so Sophie's eyes darted back and forth between the bottle and her brother. Finally, he ended the charm, and she breathed a sigh of relief. "I was starting to wonder if you were going to end it," she said. After that squirt in the face, she didn't trust him not to drench her.

Sophie was still looking at the bottle of ice cold water, when she realized Caleb still had his wand at the ready. He wasn't going to drench her now, was she? She started to duck, when she looked up and noticed the icicle hanging from his wand. "Whoa," she said, eyeing it as he removed it and held it up. "That's...really cool. You know, when you were casting the charm, I kept thinking that the water felt a lot colder than that first bottle. It was freezing over."

Pretty cool, lil bro.

Lucy thought and looked at her classmates..then she knew that she had confused the words of the chant!!!
She decided to try again..
She took her runestone and her wand..
She started to chant:" isa isa isa iiiiiiisssss siii...."
She hoped to have done right this time..

"I haven't been hiding, but I was hoping you wouldn't start talking to me." Leah joked. It had been ages since they spoke. But she did not mind, at least now they were partnering up. She patted the younger girl's shoulder and made a quick trip back to her desk to retrieve her Isa runestone, textbook and wand.

"I'm going to try Impedimenta, since we recently learned that in DADA." Not to mention that she could not perform most of the other spells. "Do you want to chant the galdr first, or do your spell? I'm fine with either." Leah said. She flipped through her textbook to find the galdr. As usual, it looked.. weird.

Angel looked at Leah and then she thought for a few moments. "I think I want to chant first." Angel really wanted to do some chanting and she had her stuff all ready. "When you are ready, we can give it a go." Angel wasn't sure about this because she wasn't good at chanting, after all she hadn't been doing it for long, though she did remember the chant.

A blu-purple shield went out from the tip of her wand..
It was thin and she could see over the shield..but she was pleased to see it!

Cool. She officially had a partner. It seemed like everybody around them had already gotten started and she was just sitting here with a dumb look on her face. Oh how she hoped that Noel, she was pretty sure that was his name, knew what he was doing.

She smiled as he made his way over to her. Erm... the rune part? she was drawing a major blank. Her guess would have been that it contained some chanting like they did with the fire rune in the last lesson, but she couldn't be sure. "Do you mind if you get that part a go?" Because she wasn't really so sure what the next step was. This cold was making it hard for her to even think. "If you do the chant, do I just say Finite?" Help.

Leah nodded. "Wait, so you do the chanting and use Impedimenta, right? And I'll block it with Finite." she asked. Anyway, they were ready to go. "Okay, come on." she pulled out her wand.

Angel decided that she was going to try this now. "isa isa isa...i i i i i i i i i...i i i i i i s s s s s s...(s s s s s s i i i i i i)...i i i i i i i i i..." Angel then went a bit silly. "I forgot the words.... I....a.... I forgot the words...I....A...." Angel looked at Leah and decided that she probably should be serious now, so she got ready to do it really. "isa isa isa...i i i i i i i i i...i i i i i i s s s s s s...(s s s s s s i i i i i i)...i i i i i i i i i..." Angel chanted whilst holding the runestone. "Eh Leah how am I supposed to chant and do the incantation, I haven't learned how to do non verbal spells yet." Angel was a bit confused, was she supposed to do the spell as well?

"Of course you do." She said with a nod, affirming his liking of her thoughts. "It's what happens when like minded people sneak to the back of a classroom." So she might have liked the way he thought too, she just wouldn't say it. He was a smart cookie though so surely he'd have picked up on that. Why else would she partner with him?

And that right there was her point exactly. No one with half a working brain would stand there and get hit in the face with a vase, especially not with the Hospital Wing being a few floors down. Could be a painful journey there, you know? "We make an excellent team. Should do this more often." Whether she meant breaking rules or partnering up in class was left to him to interpret but she was leaving it at that.

'Sides, much more interesting things happening here, like HELLO frozen vase she'd just vanished. It had happened, it was real and they both saw it. The Gryffindor was half tempted to always carry around the Isa rune in her back pocket but then...it would need to be invoked before use and she doubted her opponent would wait for her to get this done. "A real person. Maybe a Firstie to start on account of them being lighter and all. Shouldn't be too hard to convince 'em. They're easily bribed if you know their calling price." Or knew how to boss 'em right. Dima was easily led whether through promises or threats. Maybe they could use him.

Oh but right now there was a book coming at her. A book of all things. Surely this foreshadowed something and she was meant to stay away from libraries. This would forever be her thought now even as she held the rune and her wand at ready. "Protego!"

The book's speed was immediately cut in half then another half until it was crawling through the air, rotating on it's edges in a spinning motion from the thrust. Lex walked around to get a better look at it even while it came to a hault. "This has to count as a brilliant discovery of sorts, don't you think?" She asked, taking in the frozen pages and all. "And to think this might not have been something the Professor condoned." Pfft. Some things were too epic to pass up.

Simon beamed with a wide grin, raised his hand up and gave his mate a good high five. YES! They had done it, right? "Is there anything else for us to do? I think we got all the steps," he said, giving Zander a wide grin.

She KNEW. She just KNEW. "Exactly. I say, the sneakier the task, the better it is to work with like-minded people; they're less likely to say no AND you can get whatever it is you want to get done a lot faster." Whiiiiich made him smirk just a little because SHE was the one who picked HIM. Didn't even give him a choice or anything of the sort for it; he just had to work with her. Like minded people. Heh.

"What, throw vases and books at each other and watch it travel in slow-mo? Or partnering up more often?" HM? "The answer's yes, by the way. We should because, like you said, we make an excellent team." He even hoped there would be HOMEWORK for this. More of an excuse to throw things at people and watch the dramatic, epically cool effect take place.

She was actually being SERIOUS about throwing a person? Lol. LOOOOOOOOL. Oh MAN. And she was talking about throwing a FIRSTIE. "Bet they'll be more likely to listen to you." Because she was older and whatnot. "Bribing them would work really well. Most of them seem to like sweets or something similar." Apart from Candice. "I'm sure if we offer enough to the right person, they'll be willing to take part." They just needed the right person. No one who'd go blabbing.

Grayson watched as the book flew in the air towards the Gryffindor, silently hoping that she WAS ready for this. Which...........

................ SMIRK.

"Brilliant! Look at the pages!" Frozen, too. And he had no remorse in throwing something he'd actually need because it was a freaking BOOK. "Yes! But you know, we should keep this between the two of us for the time being. Or trademark it. Someone might steal the idea and get all the credit." That shouldn't be allowed. "I think it's a lesson to us: sometimes you need to go against what the Professor says to discover something epic," he said, reaching over and touching the edge of the book veeeeeeeeeery carefully, "I'm amazed that it WORKED so well."

Benny had continue to chant in hopes of giving enough strength to his spellwork to have it work on his end. Adi had seemed to get the hang of it and the lion hoped he had the same luck. In any event, there wasn't much more chance to do anything but focus on what was to come, the Hufflepuff giving him a small warning before casting the same spell he himself had used on his friend minutes before.

"Finite!" he cast with the appropriate wand movement as the light headed towards him. It seemed to have worked, for as the two spells neared each other, the offensive one appeared to almost fizzle in response. Both dying out between the two friends.

"Man...that was...interesting."

Adi watched the red light from Benny's wand hurtle closer to the turquoise one he had just made. He wondered if the same results would be produced. It would be so cool if something different happened, though.

A second later, the light from Adi's wand died. Just like that. One moment it was there and then gone the next. Awesome!

"Wanna try one more time?'' Adi called to Benny. In all honesty, he wanted to see if this time something even more cool would take place. Maybe a mini explosion or something? Benny did have the knack for creating those. Hehe.

So far they both were garnishing good results with the spell. Benny couldn't help questioning inside if it was indeed because of the spell the two of them had chosen to work with. Maybe they would have different results with different spells. Something to consider testing at another time but for now he was staying put with what they were dealing with. Get that spell down first.

"Sure...give it another shot," he answered, bracing himself for his friend's spell once more as he chanted again to ensure the spell was still strong. "Isa Isa Isa i i i i i i i i i i i i s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s ss i i i i i i i i i i i " Now he just to wait and watch for it.

Awesome! Another shot. Adi was seriously hoping for an explosion now. If anyone could do that, it was Benny. He wondered how Professor Botros would react to that. Not throwing them in detention, he hoped.

Adi gave Benny a few seconds to chant the Isa Galdr again then called, ''Jinx coming your way!'' Wand raised, he made the appropriate movement. "Impedimenta!''

Let's see what would happen. Come on explosion! Or something similar.

Benny took a deep breath after finishing the chant, hoping to give himself a moment to recover. That moment broken up by Adi's quick warning and the lion moved to raise his wand arm once more in defense. Turquiose light came towards him once more and he was ready.

"Finite!!" he cast once more to counter his friend's jinx. Again the spells met, yet this time not as smoothly as before. Multicolored sparks flying away from the collision and Benny jumped back on first impulse.

"Yikes..."

Well, it wasn't an explosion but multi coloured sparks were just as awesome. Adi's face brightened. "Cool! That's so cool!'' Like Benny, he had also not anticipated that result and was startled. But getting past that, he stared at the sparks as they slowly died away where the two spells had connected. Of the results he hand Benny had gotten, this one was definitely the best.

Adi glanced in the direction of Professor Botros. Those sparks would be hard to miss. But those sparks were hardly their fault and no harm was done so there won't be any trouble. Right?

"Well... maybe the camouflaging will be more... fluid. More natural. Light might bend around you better and stuff. I guess we'll find out, yeah? So how about you start with the galdr and I'll cast the spell and we'll see how that works out... and then if that isn't so strong I can try chanting the galdr and casting non-verbally... and then you can give the spell a go too?" Why not, right? Could be fun. West got his wand ready and stood up.

Grin. Ready little snake?
