Ancient Runes Lesson II http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps2fc17533.jpg |
Ian walks into the room and nods to the professor on his way in. It's a little too chilly to actually speak at this point and he's hoping the addition of other students will make the room more bearable. He's wearing a nice yellow sweater his mum had sent for his birthday and a hat she'd knitted that has a nice badger on the front of it. H He walks to the seat with his name and sits down waiting for other students and the class to begin as he sees the professor would like some quiet. |
Trying to ignore the cold (and not doing such a good job at it), Adi stepped into the Ancient Runes classroom. He was surprised that Professor Botros wasn't at the door to welcome his students. But when he spotted the man at his desk, Adi knew why. He was reading. Not wanting to disturb the man, Adi simply read the instructions on the board before making his was to his desk. Oh look. Ian! Haiiii, Ian! He got a grin. |
At this point, Lux was used to it being cold everywhere she went. Definitely didn't make things any less unpleasant, but at least she had her million layers and hot air charm. Entering the classroom, she saw that Professor Botros wanted quiet. Huh. Maybe he wasn't in a good mood or was too tired to waste energy speaking. Setting on giving him a friendly wave instead, Lux made her way over to her desk and took a seat. Eyes travelling to Bay's empty spot by hers, she sniffled. |

Simon entered the very quiet classroom. He was about to give Professor Botros a cheery greeting; however, once he saw Botros reading a book and the message on the blackboard, he stayed quiet. He smiled at the Professor and went of to find his seat. Now where was his name tag? He spent a couple minutes scanning the various rows when he found that his name tag had been placed next to where Adi was sitting. He gave his newest Hufflepuff bud a grin and a wave as he took his seat. Now where were Ethan and Zander? |
Lucy walked into the classroom.. It was very cold..She smiled at her professor and her classmates.. Then she found her desk and sits down.. |
Desiree had decided to keep taking Ancient Runes. She could have dropped it of course, probably should have given the constant struggle it had proved to be in the past. But, she was stubborn; and more importantly- she was fascinated. So with that mindset, she took note of the blackboard, gave a polite nod to Professor Botros which he probably didn't even see (too engrossed in his book, she could understand that) and found her name tag a little off to the side. She was the oldest here as far as she could tell, at least for now. But that wasn't surprising really. It's not like it was required. It couldn't bother her much anyway because it was just so.. cold. There was no way around it. She easily had four layers on and was concentrating so hard on not shivering that it naturally happened anyway. She did take off her white woolen hat though, it seemed the respectful thing to do. Her ears would survive. |
The positive is it is warmer than the last Runes class. The reason was obvious. But still true. Nigel walked into the class and nodded to Botros, who's attention was on a book. Nigel understood the feeling and knew that getting bother will only make him lose his place. And look at that Name Tags for maybe the last time. Shame it actually said his real name on his. Which meant he had not made it. If he did it would same something like Prefect Starfish or The Guy With The Hair. And more but those two are the winners. Nigel flopped into his assigned seat and stared into space until Botros started the class. It was really depressing to think this was the last Runes class Nigel will ever have in Hogwarts. Merlin, now he will be slighty depressed until the Train. |
Favorite all time professor. Favorite all time class. And also coldest classroom ever. Mo was huddled in his multiple layers as he entered the classroom, giving the Professor a broad smile and a wave. A gloved wave. "Hey, Professor. I hope we're going to be moving around today. I'd hate to have to wander around picking up people's fingers and toes." Because of frostbite reasons. |
Sooooooooooo. Ancient Runes. And it WASN'T being held outside. Thankfully. Not that they COULD go outside but it was the thought that counted. The inside wasn't exactly much better either but it was better than that freakshow out there. He was thankful for that too. Something he wasn't thankful for was how insane he felt at the idea of breathing in the same air as so many people in this old place. Yeah. Whatever. Grayson was still here, with his bag slung over his shoulder and high hopes for more torches and warmth and FIYAH. Or something as equally as cool. He could even muster up a SMILE for this and was about to greet the man who......... .................... was reading. And it was quiet. A little TOO quiet. Er. Alright. This was slightly spooky but whatever. A weird look spread across his face as he looked around and....... Aha! The message on the blackboard. So THAT'S why it was so quiet. Shrugging, the fourth year smiled a little at the reading!Professor, headed over towards the seat where his nametag was placed and sat down. His things were taken out and placed on the table before he placed his bag underneath his desk and sat back. This was still too freaking quiet. |
WOHOO! Ancient Runes class time was finally here. He loved the teacher and this class was interesting to learn. As he entered the classroom he wondered why it was so cold? It seemed like every classroom he encountered was freezing. He cuddled into his robes and even move his hands to keep his hands warm. He breathed on them too. He saw his name tag on the table and smiled and took his seat. He saw the professor in the front of the room and talked to Bostros and said, "Hello Professor I hope you are handling this cold weather well.." |
It was still cold. It was always still cold. Nevertheless, Sophie made her way to Ancient Runes class dressed for the harsh weather they were currently suffering through. She stepped into the room and automatically zoned in on the message on the blackboard. Stay quiet? Well. Okay, then. Sophie would have greeted the professor, but staying quiet it would be. Instead, she wandered through the room until she found the seat with her name tag on it. She dropped her bag to the floor and took the seat. It was really quiet. Kind of awkward, really. |
The cold didn't bother Isidora. The cold never bothered her. Dora, dressed in no more than her school uniform entered the class, and took a seat at the back by the door should she find herself no longer in the mood for a lesson. Not that it ever happened in this class, but she'd not been herself ever since the shut-in and was taking no chances. |
It was so cold! Hazel shivered as she walked into the classroom. She slid mittens onto her freezing hands and made her way to the seat with her name tag. She walked past the professor, but merely smiled. The words written on the blackboard seemed to be running throughout the classroom. It was so quiet. And so cold! |
Still recovering from the flu, the thirteen year old made his way into the class. Noel's eyes were all watery from the latest sneeze when he found himself a seat and sat down. Taking a note from what was written on the board, the boy thanked merlin. No chattering, that was good - he could possibly doze off for a while. Folding his arms on the desk, he put his head down. |
O_____O Was it super silent in here or was it just him? This was kind of freaky. And wrong. Just plain wrong. It was probably because Ethan wasn't here yet. That guy really knew how to liven up a room. Anyways, right the blackboard... Stay quiet? Okay........ Zander normally would've given the Professor a greeting or something like it, but they were supposed to stay quiet? But it was already too quiet... Maybe this guy was just as passionate about reading as CB is? Botros must've been a Ravenclaw too. The third year took his time traveling around the class trying to find the seat with his name tag... He walked by Simon and his newest Hufflepuff divination friend, and gave them both a sad look as his tag was no where to be found.... He eventually found it though on the COMPLETE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROOM. Sigh. |
Jasmine entered the Ancient Runes classroom feeling cold, as usual. Seeing the Professor occupied with reading, she decided to forego a greeting and headed straight for her seat as directed. When she reached the desk, Jasmine deposited her bag on the floor and sat down. Then she retrieved her notebook and quill, ready to take notes as necessary. Now all she had to do was wait for class to begin. |

The Slytherin took his seat, gave Simon a nudge and a nod to make his presence known, and looked at the professor up ahead reading something from a big book. Ethan had a small grin on his face as he did so. Did Botros know he looked like an old Sherlock? Just sayin'. |
OOH, Botros was in the zone today wasn't he? Reading and stuff. Caleb smiled at him but noticed the book and knew he wasn't going to be acknowledged back, but ah well. He took a seat at his desk and made himself comfortable, glad that it was at least a BIT warmer in here than the other places. |
Runes? This, Toby could do. Sure, he was no genius in this subject like some of the kids at this school, but Tobias had always been able to hold his own in this subject. Sure, recent events had pulled him a little off course, but here he was, ready and willing to learn and make up for all that. The Hufflepuff entered the classroom just as bundled up in those extra layers as he usually was these days, and went straight to his assigned seat. As he sat down, Toby noted that the professor was all quiet and reading, and the blackboard was saying for them to be quiet too. But it didn't seem right to not at least greet Professor Botros, and it was so very quiet in here, and Toby's mind was so very loud and busy, it was basically impossible to settle down straight away. Silences were difficult, okay? "Hey Professor Botros," the Hufflepuff said brightly, trying not to be TOO loud, and left it as that. Still, as soon as he was sat in his seat and had his books and parchment and quill and ink out, the tapping began. The incessant tapping and fiddling and fidgeting. He didn't even recognise that he was doing it anymore. |
Mackenzie was still wearing the layers of clothing along with two scarfs, a hat, ear muffs, gloves, and boots. She wasn't getting cold... nope. She entered the classroom and read the blackboard she gave the professor a quick nod. QUIET she found her seat and pulled out her book as well as some parchment and a quill. and QUIETLY sat there cuddling deeper into her attire. |
It was the strangest thing ever. The Gryffindor still couldn't piece together why she'd lost 5 points and had been trying to wrack her brain for anything she might have done in the spur of the moment because of the restlessness that had set in with this lock down. The Professor hadn't seen her drawing mustaches on the portraits had he?? The corridor was clear, she'd made sure of that.... Or maybe no....she had yelled at Feo that one time that kid was walking him--but only because he'd nearly hurt Felix. Kid must have complained after...but would the Professor take points for that? Probably. Merlin knew she'd hex anyone that even looked at her kneazle too funny. Weird. You know what else was weird? Walking in to an Acient Runes class without the Professor at the door to greet them...and the sign saying sit in silence. What was this day? "G'morning Professor." She said a bit hesitantly. Did that count as not being quiet? She wasn't trying to be rude or anything. Lex gave a small nod before taking her seat. This was hers. The name plate said so. |
Mitchell's teeth were chattering as he entered the classroom. So much so that he wasn't able to greet the professor at all. Whoops. He semi-silently took his seat. He was a little bit clumsy given the extra layers. It was hard to judge how far the desks are when you were bigger than you normally were. Once safely seated, he slid the chair next to him back into place with his foot. ... and then went back to teeth chattering. |
Leah entered the classroom, which was strangely quiet. It felt weird without all those chatting voices and Professor Botros greeting them at the doorway. Still, glad that they were not having the lesson outside in the cold after what happened last time, she read the words on the board. Somehow the Hufflepuff did not dare greet the professor out loud, and gave him a friendly smile instead. Did he see that? He was just so engrossed in reading. The second year walked up and down the rows of tables, looking for her name. It was not difficult to spot it, and Leah sat down immediately, trying to keep warm. She gave a wave to her friends already seated too. Now for the lesson to begin. |
